The scene opens to reveal Rab stood on Cabrillo Beach, with his back to the camera, watching the sun go down.

He is wearing a pair of white shorts and a replica Heart of Midlothian F.C. jersey.
‘In recent years, I’ve bin a bit ay a nomad, livin' in a number ay different places, nane ay them fur very lang. Rab turns to face the camera.
‘Awrite there! Hou's it gaun? Fur those ay ye 'at didn’t follaw Lion's Den Fightin’ Championships, mah nam is Rab McKinley, an' in three days’ time I’m gonnae be involved in a triple threat match, against AJ Wolfe an' Maritza Diaz.’
Rab scratches his forehead.
‘Thinkin' abit thes match gi'es me a feelin' ay déjà vu: at th' beginnin' ay June, Maritza was mah opponent in mah first match in Lion’s Den - in fact, it was th' first match in Lion’s Den fur baith ay us; three an' a half months later an' we’re opponents again, oan th' first 3GW shaw - Ah jist hope it really is a case ay déjà vu, wi' me again bein' th' one 'at gits their hain raised at th' end ay th' match.’
He rubs his chin.
‘Maritza an' Ah hae baith definitely improved since 'at previoos match. Ah was particularly impressed by 'er win against Miles Bishop - someain fa hud beaten me jist a coople ay weeks earlier. She followed 'at up wi' anither win, against Keegan Hightower - which is also nae tae be sniffed at.’
Rab nods.
‘As Maritza’s friend, it’s bin pleasin' tae watch hoo she has progressed. An' as 'er friend, Ah don’t really want tae be th' one tae pit a stop tae 'er current momentum - but unfortunately I’m gonnae hae tae fill 'at role, coz Ah don’t want tae start life in 3GW wi' a loss.’
He then shakes his head.
‘Ah didn’t enjoy havin' tae fight Maritza lest time, an' Ah doobt I’ll enjoy it thes time, either. Needs must thocht, Ah suppose. Hopefully I’ll be able tae gie th' better ay Maritza again, althoogh Ah ken she’ll provide me wi' an e'en mair difficult challenge than lest time; whatever diz happen, I’ll be glad tae gie thes match out ay th' way, an' tae move ontae th' next one.’

‘Mah other opponent in thes upcomin' match - AJ Wolfe - is someain I’m a lot less familiar wi', which brings a different challenge. Noo, I’m nae th' sort ay wrestler 'at spends lots ay time studyin' footage ay their opponents - Ah tend tae dae things oan th' fly - but e'en sae, back when we waur at th' trainin' center, in Lion’s Den, Ah woods gie tae see aw th' other trainees, an' sae whoever mah opponent was, Ah woods hae a fair idea ay whit Ah was gonnae be up against. Wi' AJ Wolfe thocht, 'at won’t be th' case.’

‘Och weel, mebbe ance Ah enter th' rin' I’ll jist start throwin' haymakers, an' see whaur 'at gits me - it’s bin knoon tae wark in th' pest.’
He then gives a nonchalant shrug.
‘One ay th' things Ah hae heard regardin' AJ Wolfe, is abit some ay th' brawls he has gotten caught up in, e'en havin' a brush wi' th' law. Th' question 'at needs tae be asked thocht is, can he dae it oan a cold nicht in Glasgow?’
The Glaswegian chuckles to himself.
‘AJ Wolfe, if ye want tae slug it out wi' someain in 3GW, I’ll be mair than happy tae oblige. Ah warn ye thocht, ye won’t loch th' ootcome: yoo’ll be left starin' up at th' lights, efter bein' oan th' receivin' end ay a Glasgow kiss.’

‘Regardless ay whit Ah main ur mauna ken abit ye, AJ Wolfe, one hin' Ah hink Ah can be certain abit, is 'at ye want tae win uir match oan Thursday. However, I’m afraid Ah can’t allaw 'at tae happen. Maritza winnin', Ah can accept - she’s a friend. But ye?’
