SPECIAL ELIMINATION TAG MATCH
Jimmy Page, Johnny Karma, Corey Lazarus, Joshua Black
vs.
Riley Owens, Jared James, Cyncity, Chaz Holiday
We return to ringside where Chaz Holiday is already in the ring for his upcoming match. He’s standing in the ring with a microphone in hand.
Chaz Holiday: Now I know that my 8 person tag match is scheduled for right now but I just wanted to take a second to address something.
(He starts slowly pacing back and forth.)
Chaz Holiday: Joshua Black, in an attempt to make a point, took my friend Matt Summers out of action for the foreseeable future. And then earlier tonight, as you all saw, he hit me from behind with a cheap shot.
(Chaz shakes his head as the crowd boos.)
Chaz Holiday: I’m tired of the games, Josh. They’re going to end and they’re going to end now. You want a title shot, Josh? Well I want to get some revenge for my friend, Matt. So how about we both get what we want at “Only The Strong Survive.” You and me, in that ring, for the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship.
(He throws the microphone down, getting ready for the 8 person tag match.)
Clement: How about that? Chaz Holiday and Joshua Black for the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship!
Grayson: He's nuts. He just threw that belt away. There's no way he's walking out of D.C. with that belt.
The familiar riff of Washed Out's "Feel It All Around" permeates through the arena as Jared James slowly waltzes out from the backstage area. A slight grin on his face, James paces his way down to the ring and during this short journey he periodically stops to high five fans in attendance.
Cruz: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! And it is a Special 8-Man Elimination Tag Match. Elimination can occur via pinfall, submission, disqualification, count out, and being thrown over the top rope and having both feet touch the floor. Already in the ring is the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion, CHAZ HOLIDAY! And his partner, now residing out of Durham, New Hampshire! Weighing in at 187 pounds... JARED JAMES!
Once at the ring, he rolls onto the mat and in one motion hops up onto his feet before running into the far corner -- jumping up to the second rope. He throws both arms into the air, enthusiasm plastered across his face, before jumping down to the mat once more and heading into his corner where he sits on the bottom rope in anticipation for his upcoming bout.
Clement: Jared James has been impressive in his comeback. But he faces his biggest test when he takes on Johnny Karma, one on one, at Only the Strong Survive.
Grayson: You got that right. Battle Royals are one thing. Tag matches are one thing. But in a singles match, he's got no one to hide behind. He's got no one to ride to victory. He's going to have to get the job done himself. If you ask me, he's not good enough to beat Johnny Karma.
Let’s go!
Make no excuses now
I’m talking here and now
I’m talking here and nowThe beginning of "Lets go" plays over the sound system until it's cut off by a static. The lights in the arena dim down to nothing as the static is replaced by the sounds of a power clap coming from through the audience. Let’s go!When the beat kicks in heavily, Cyncity slowly emerges from the back with her head tilted to the side, glaring at the ring with a small smile on her face. She stands at the top of the ramp for a moment, scanning the crowd, before she makes her way down the ramp, throwing her right arm in the air, taking in the audiences cheers.. She stops midway down the ramp and scans the crowd one more time, nodding her head and giving the audience a round of applause. She spins in a circle and does her trademark Sex Sells pose, her arms in the air, and buttom pushed out. Fans in attendance are heard whistling in her direction, as she breaks her pose and blows kisses to the audience. Cruz: And their partner, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! Weighing in at 127 pounds... CYNCITY!
No fear, and while you getting your cry onI'm getting my fly onSincere, I see you aiming at my pedastalI betta let ya' knowShe slaps the hands of a few lucky fans, and even gives a few of them a hug as she marches her way down the ramp. She finally pulls away from the fans then continues her slow pace toward the ring. Lets go!She slides into the ring and crawls toward the middle before getting to her feet. She blows a kiss at the crowd and climbs up to the middle rope, throwing her arms in the air and taking in the ovations with a grin on her face. Finally, she hops back into the ring and walks over to her corner, stretching out her limbs and waiting for the match to begin.
Clement: Cyncity not only has her eyes set on that Gold Rush Rumble, but she's also looking at getting even with Corey Lazarus.
Grayson: This woman has got too much on her plate. And did I hear right? Are she and Cordy Stevenson reuniting as Sex Sells for the Dynamic Duos Tag Team Tournament? She better be able to juggle all of this or else everything is going to come crashing down.
“Carpe Diem” by August Burns Red begins to play over the speakers. Owens walks out onto the entrance ramp. He adjusts his wrist tape and then slowly walks down the ramp.
Cruz: And their opponent, now residing out of Miami, Florida! Weighing in at 200 pounds... RILEY OWENS!
Owens slides into the ring. He heads to the nearest turnbuckle; he climbs the turnbuckle and raises a fist. The hops off the turnbuckle and waits for his opponents.
Grayson: And here's the coward himself. He better heed Jimmy Page's advice. He needs to weasel his way out of this Pride Title match, just like he weaseled his way out of that match against Jack Reynolds.
Clement: Riley will do no such thing. He's never backed down from a challenge in his life and he won't start now.
The lights dim as the opening drum roll of Slayer's "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" cues up, the song instantly jumping to the start of the first verse as a spotlight focuses on Corey Lazarus as he emerges from behind the curtain. He adjusts his gold-rimmed Ray Bans and throws back the hood of his entrance jacket, shaking out his shaggy hair before flashing everybody his trademark devilish grin.
Cruz: And their opponents... introducing first, now residing out of Hollywood, California! Weighing in at 235 pounds... COREY LAZARUS!
Corey blows the nearest camera a kiss as he casually strolls down to the ring, stopping at ringside to slide his Ray Bans off...only to quickly throw them back on, chuckling as he does so. Lazarus jumps onto the apron and darts up to the middle turnbuckle, slowly sliding his entrance jacket off and letting it drop to ringside before lounging across the top ropes, and all with a condescending smirk on his face. "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" dies down as Corey steps down to the mat, carefully removing his Ray Bans and placing them under the bottom turnbuckle. He rises back up, stretching out over the ropes, and then turns around, backing into the corner.
The lights in the arena start to flicker as the beginning of "This Is The New Shit" by Marilyn Manson begins to play throughout the arena. A man walks out from the back wearing a black suit and a black shirt with a white tie. He has a thick beard and thick glasses. Obviously, this is Johnny Windham.
## Everything has been said before ##
## There's nothing left to say anymore ##
## When it's all the same ##
## You can ask for it by name ##
Next, wearing a tight black leather mini-skirt, a skin tight white shirt that says "Your Dream Come True" on the front in black lettering, and black go-go boots, Heather Black walks out from behind the curtain. Her shoulder length dark red hair is tied back and her outfit definitely shows off her figure.
## Babble babble bitch bitch ##
## Rebel rebel party party ##
## Sex sex sex and don't forget the "violence" ##
## Blah blah blah got your lovey-dovey sad-and-lonely ##
## Stick your STUPID SLOGAN in: ##
## Everybody sing along. ##
Finally, out from behind the curtain, is the man everyone came to see, Joshua Black. Joshua is wearing his usual black tights that stop mid-thigh, with yellow trim at the waist and mid-thigh, and a black t-shirt with words "Flawless Victory" written on the front in yellow lettering. He stands at the entranceway between Johnny and Heather, looks around the crowd smiling, and starts heading to the ring.
## Babble babble bitch bitch ##
## Rebel rebel party party ##
## Sex sex sex and don't forget the "violence" ##
## Blah blah blah got your lovey-dovey sad-and-lonely ##
## Stick your STUPID SLOGAN in: ##
## Everybody sing along. ##
Cruz: And his partner, being accompanied to the ring by Heather Black and Johnny Windham! From Phoenix, Arizona! Weighing in at 240 pounds... JOSHUA BLACK!
As the group gets to the ring, Johnny walks up the steps and walks into the ring. Joshua picks Heather up by the waist and places her on the ring apron, as Johnny holds the ring ropes open for her to climb in. Joshua slides under the bottom rope and walks over to the corner of the ring. He jumps onto the middle turnbuckle and stares out into the crowd, with a cocky grin on his face.
## Are you motherfuckers ready ##
## For the new shit? ##
## Stand up and admit, ##
## tomorrow's never coming. ##
## This is the new shit. ##
## Stand up and admit. ##
## Do we get it? No. ##
## Do we want it? Yeah. ##
## This is the new shit, ##
## Stand up and admit. ##
Joshua jumps off the turnbuckle and holds the ropes open for Heather to climb through the ropes. Johnny exits the ring and walks down the steps to the floor, then holds Heather's hand as she does the same as the music dies down and Joshua takes off his shirt and tosses it to Johnny.
Clement: Joshua Black got his wish. He got his title shot. But be careful what you wish for because Chaz Holiday is on a roll.
The arena lights flash a myriad of different colours in tune with John Bonham’s epic drum intro to “When the Levee Breaks” fills the arena, and at the exact microsecond that the flawless combination of Robert Plant’s harmonica and Jimmy Page’s riff starts The Man, The Myth, The Johnny Karma swaggers out onto the top of the ramp to greet his adoring public, coming to a stop on top of the ramp to blow a kiss to all his fans in attendance who paid to see him and only him this evening and stands there with his hands on his hips to bask in their adulation as Cherry Baum stands by his side to present him to the crowd.
Karma struts down the ramp towards the ring, making sure not a single hair is out of place on his head, waving and chatting to the members of his adoring public that surround him whilst he walks down to the ring. The pair reach ringside, as Cherry climbs onto the apron and holds the ropes open for her man. Karma waves to the luckiest fans of all, those at ringside as he performs, before bounding up the ring steps and stepping through the gap Cherry has created for him into the ring.
Karma briskly walks across the ring, climbing the turnbuckles and raises an arm into the air, holding up one finger to remind us all of one simple truth – He’s #1. Karma climbs down, then walks across the ring and climbs the opposite turnbuckles, looking out into the crowd who have paid for the privilege of watching him wrestle, before unzipping his track top to reveal his chiselled physique. He removes his dark glasses and places them in his jacket pocket, before climbing down.
As he stands in the ring, Cherry Baum takes the house mic...
Cherry Baum: Introducing first, for your viewing pleasure and allowing you to tell your grandchildren that you were there to see him
wrestle …weighing in at a firm, a fair, and a
fine 233lbs and hailing from Queens, NYC…his is the leader of men and he is one of the boys…he is JOHNNY KARMA.
[Karma saunters towards the centre of the ring]
Cherry Baum: …accompanied, aided and abetted this evening by Corey Lazarus, by Jimmy Page, and by Joshua Black.
[Karma pauses, not expecting an introduction for his teammates, but then continues]
Johnny Karma: Ladies and...
[Karma removes his sunglasses and winks to the crowd]
Johnny Karma: …tonight is the night where that
thief, that
scoundrel, that most heinous of human beings – and I apologise to all human beings for lumping him in with the rest of you – the night where…where…
[Once again, Karma is unable to say his name]
Cherry Baum: Jaden James.
Johnny Karma: …where
that faces the error of his ways, but no matter how he tries to make amends he cannot undo what is done nor can he avoid the wrath of the Karmic Crab, bearing down upon him like Godzilla bears down upon Tokyo. And if any of you three shmos want to get in the way, then the Karmic Crab will dine well this evening.
The lights dim to darkness, an eerie tune begins to play as if it’s cuing up for something. Suddenly drums kick in with the distorted sounds. The lights flash along with the sounds of the heart pounding drums. “They Are Lost” by Last Remaining Pinnacle starts to play. Jimmy Page with a controlled stagger bursts through the curtains with his arms out. He raises his head as the camera zooms in on his face, a stoic expression is shown with him chewing frantically on a piece of gum. Dressed in his ring attire with a black, denim vest, he makes his way down towards the ring. He marches towards the front of the ring, take a running start and slides onto the apron, stopping in the middle.
Cruz: And their opponent, from Flint, Michigan! Weighing in at 230 pounds! He is the reigning Pride Champion... JIMMY PAGE!
A spotlight hits him as he glares around, almost in a scowl. He takes his time, talking to the crowd for a moment, mocking them. He stands up on the apron, and then makes his way to the apron on his left. He stands on it talking to the crowd so more, shouting at them, he spits his gum out towards them and leaps down. Taking his denim jacket off, he throws it recklessly towards the ground. He walks to his corner and sits down on the middle turnbuckle, his right hand resting on his cheek nonchalantly as he awaits the bell.
The bell sounds as Riley Owens and Joshua Black start things off. They go to lock up, but Black nails him with a kick to the midsection to boos from the crowd. He then takes Riley and whips him into the ropes. When Riley comes back, Black goes for another kick to the midsection. But this time, Riley catches his foot to cheers from the crowd. After spinning Black around, Riley knocks him down with a high roundhouse kick to cheers from the crowd. He makes the cover.

Riley picks him up, wrings his arm, brings him into the corner and tags in Cyncity. The crowd cheers as Cyncity gets in the ring. But the cheers turn to boos as Black breaks free and steps back towards the center of the ring.
Clement: Black was real tough when he jumped Chaz Holiday from behind earlier. But he doesn't look so tough now.
Grayson: Well what do you want him to do, stay in the corner and get quadruple teamed?
Cyncity quickly points behind Black. Black turns around and points to Corey Lazarus. After Cyncity shakes her head, Black goes over and tags in Lazarus to boos from the crowd.
Clement: Cyncity isn't waiting until Only the Strong Survive to get her hands on Lazarus. She wants him tonight!
Grayson: Well what woman doesn't want Lazarus tonight?
The two head towards the center of the ring and go to lock up. But Lazarus quickly kicks her in the midsection to boos from the crowd. After a couple of forearm shots to the face, Lazarus takes Cyncity and whips her into the ropes. When Cyncity comes back, Lazarus goes for a rolling back elbow. But Cyncity ducks and runs into the ropes. When she comes back, she knocks Lazarus down with a spinning heel kick to cheers from the crowd. Lazarus gets up, but Cyncity runs over and knocks him down with a running front dropkick. Lazarus gets back up, but Cyncity knocks him down with a jumping knee to the face to cheers from the crowd. As Cyncity picks him up, Lazarus grabs her around the waist and rams her back-first into the corner. The crowd boos as Lazarus delivers a series of shoulder thrusts to the midsection. He then takes Cyncity and whips her into the opposite corner. He follows her into the corner. But Cyncity runs up to the top turnbuckle, flips off and connects with the Emphatic Whispers to cheers from the crowd.
Clement: What a counter by Cyncity!
Cyncity picks up Lazarus, brings him towards the center of the ring and kisses him on the cheek before running into the ropes. When she comes back, she nails Lazarus with Beauty and the Knee to cheers from the crowd. Cyncity then grabs Lazarus and applies the Soft Pretzel Twist to cheers from the crowd. Lazarus quickly taps to cheers from the crowd.
Grayson: Oh no!
Clement: He tapped! Lazarus tapped out!
Cruz: Corey Lazarus has been eliminated.
As Cyncity gets up, Jimmy Page runs over and knocks her down from behind with a clothesline to boos from the crowd.
Clement: A cheap shot there by Jimmy Page. But you shouldn't expect anything less...
The boos continue as Page puts the boots to her. He then reaches down, grabs a handful of Cyncity's hair and pulls her up to her feet. He then runs into the corner and slams her head into the top turnbuckle. The crowd boos as Page turns her around and grabs her by the neck with both hands. He begins to choke Cyncity as he taunts her, asking her “you want to play with the boys, huh? You want to fight to fight with the guys!? You want to be one of the boys!?”
Clement: Look at him taunting her, Evan!
Grayson: All I see him doing is asking questions...
The ref then pulls Page off of Cyncity and brings him towards the center of the ring. After getting yelled at by the ref, Page moves him out of the way and storms back over into the corner. But he's stopped by a boot to the stomach from Cyncity. She throws out another kick... and another. After grabbing Page and slamming his head into the top turnbuckle, she turns Page around and unleashes a series of knife-edge chops to cheers from the crowd. Cyncity grabs him by the arm. But Page quickly reverses, sending her into the corner. Page then runs across the ring. But he runs right into an elbow to cheers from the crowd. As Page staggers back, Cyncity hoists herself up onto the middle ropes, leaps off and bringing him down with a Blockbuster to cheers from the crowd. She turns over and makes the cover.

As Page cringes in pain, Jared begins to try to repeatedly yank the arm from out of its socket. The ref asks Page if he wants to give up, but Page refuses to quit. Page gets back up to his feet and reverses into an arm wringer of his own. But Jared quickly reverses into another arm wringer. He then takes Page, places him in a front facelock and walks back into his corner. After Chaz Holiday tags himself in, he steps into the ring and delivers a kick to Page's ribs. The crowd cheers as Chaz slams Page's head into the top turnbuckle. He unleashes a series of knife-edge chops to cheers from the crowd. But Chaz stops, grabs Page and goes to toss him over the top rope.
Grayson: We may have another elimination...
But Page lands on the apron and rolls back into the ring. When Chaz turns around, Page gets up, darts over and turns him inside out with a lariat to boos from the crowd. Page then asks Chaz if he wants to "move up the ladder" before delivering a stomp to the face. After picking up Chaz, Page hoists him up with a double leg pick up and then rams him back-first into the corner. Page then pummels Chaz with a series of right hands, sending him slumping down into the corner. He then reaches down and chokes Chaz with his foot. The crowd boos as the ref gives him until the count of five to let go.
Ref: ONE... TWO... THREE... FOUR...
Page lets go as he runs into the ropes. When Page comes back, he delivers a running knee facewash to boos from the crowd. After Johnny Karma raises his hand in the air, Page slaps his hand hard, tagging him in.
Clement: Clearly no love lost there between these two.
Grayson: It doesn't matter. It hasn't come to blows. They've got Chaz isolated and in their corner. They're good...
Once the two change position, Karma chokes Chaz with his boot to boos from the crowd.
Ref: ONE... TWO... THREE... FOUR...
