FGA World Tag Team Championship Match
(c) Super Mario Wrestling Bros vs. Chris Bond & Kevin Hardaway
"Rockit" begins to play over the speakers as the SMWB step through the curtain to cheers from the crowd. After looking around at the crowd and nodding their heads in approval, the SMWB jump up and races down the aisle.
Cruz: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is your main event of the evening! And it is for the FGA World Tag Team Championship! Introducing first, weighing in at a combined weight of 373 pounds! They are the reigning and defending FGA World Tag Team Champions! They are the team of Max Powers and Landon Knight, the SUPER MARIO WRESTLING BROS!
After sliding underneath the bottom rope and into the ring, they push themselves up and head into opposite corners. After climbing up onto the second rope and trowing their index finger in the air, they climb to the top turnbuckle and backflip off, landing safely on their feet in the ring to cheers.
Clement: The SMWB want to come out and impress in their first match sicne their title win. But they're going to have to do more than impress tonight. They're going to have to walk out of here with a victory if they want to keep their titles.
Grayson: These two have faced some of the toughest teams in FGA over the past six months. But I don't think they've faced a pair quite like Chris Bond and Kevin Hardaway...
The house lights go out in the arena as the opening of "Violence (Enough is Enough)" by A Day to Remember flares up. Strobe lights begin to go insane when the vocals blare out of the sound system as Kevin Hardaway appears in the entry way. The crowd is thrilled seeing him as Kevin inhales before he makes his way down the ring.
Cruz: And their opponent, from Baltimore, Maryland! Weighing in at 229 pounds... KEVIN HARDAWAY!
A few hands get slapped away as once Kevin is at ringside, he hops up on the ring apron. The lights are back to normal as they enter the ring as he heads to the nearest turnbuckle and goes up to the top buckle. Some take pictures as he steps down, inhaling once more as he does the same thing on the other side of the ring before backing into the corner as he then waits for the match to begin as his entrance song fades off.
Clement: Things looked a big rocky for a bit there between Chris Bond and Kevin Hardaway. But it appears that everything is all good between these two. If they want to walk out of this match with those Tag Titles, they're going to need to stay on the same page...
"If you take a life, do you know what you'll give...
Odds are, you won't like what it is...
When the storm arrives, would you be seen with me...
By the merciless eyes I've deceived...
I've seen angels fall from blinding heights...
But you yourself are nothing so divine...
Just next in line..."
The house lights dim in the smaller facility, and multi-colored lights soon flicker throughout the filled-to-the-brim center. The crowd jumps to it's feet, blowing the roof off from the much smaller arena as Chris Bond makes his way out from behind the curtains. As he emerges from behind the curtain, there is a small burst of excitement from the crowd. With a spotlight lighting his way, Bond makes his way down the aisle and towards the ring, even slapping a few hands on the way down.
Cruz: And his partner, now residing out of Chicago, Illinois! Weighing in at 238 pounds... CHRIS BOND!
Soon enough he jogs up the stairs, and walks along the ring apron before wiping his feet. Chris Bond steps over the second rope and into the ring. The self-proclaimed legend of the wrestling world walks to the center of the ring and stands there for a moment, as flashes go off through out the waves of fans. He circles the ring, arms outstretched, as the fans cheer loudly once again. Bond enjoys this, as his trademark smirk re-emerges on his face. Heading to his corner, Bond does a few stretches as he waits for the match to begin.
Clement: This time last month, Chris Bond was looking to hang up the boots. One month later, he's looking to reclaim some gold. Will the battle tested veterans prove to be too much for these young champions?
The bell sounds as Hardaway and Max start things out. The two men shake hands before circling the ring. They then come back together and lock up. Hardaway quickly uses his strength advantage to move Max over towards the ropes. After pressing him against the ropes, the ref gives both men until the count of five to break the hold.
Ref: ONE... TWO... THREE... FOUR...
Both men make a clean break. After Hardaway steps back to the center of the ring, Max heads over towards him and locks up. He quickly places Hardaway in a side headlock. But Hardaway is able to slip out and reverse into a hammerlock. He jerks the arm, causing Max to wince in pain. The ref asks him if he wants to give up, but Max refuses to quit. He then reaches back and quickly elbows Hardaway in the face. He then performs a standing switch, applying a waistlock from behind. But Hardaway reaches back and delivers an elbow to his own. He then grabs Max and brings him down with a side headlock takeover. Max quickly reverses into a leg scissors headlock. Clement: Pretty even contest thus far. What are the Mario Bros going to have to do to retain their titles tonight?
Grayson: Besides get intentionally DQ'd, I don't know. Bond and Hardaway are stronger. They are far more experienced. Those guys have been around the block. They were the backbone of several companies. The SMWB have got the speed and the agility. But how long will that last when Bond and Hardaway are wearing them down?
Max picks up Hardaway, wrings his arm, brings him over towards the corner and tags in Landon Knight. But when Landon gets in, Hardaway breaks free and quickly takes a few steps back. He then goes over and tags in Chris Bond to cheers from the crowd.
