Jake Winchester vs. Leon Corella
Cruz: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE FOLLOWING MATCH IS SINGLES COMPETITION AND IT IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL.... THERE WILL BE NO TIME LIMIT...
INTRODUCING FIRST...
["Kashmir" begins to play and Jake Winchester walks out from behind the curtain to cheers. He raises his arms in the air with a cocky grin and then slaps a few hands on his way to the ring. He makes his way onto the apron and looks out to the crowd, where he grins once again and nods in time with his music for a few moments before he steps into the ring and runs the ropes a few times before his music fades.]
Cruz: HE STANDS SIX FEET TALL AND WEIGHS IN AT TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY FIVE POUNDS....
HAILING FROM SYRACUSE, NEW YORK....
"OLD SCHOOL" JAKE WWWWIIIIIINNNNNCCCCCCHHHHHEEEESSSSSTTTTEEEERRRR!!!
....AND HIS OPPONENT....
[Cue the opening guitar rift for the Muse's "House of the Rising Sun". The Arena lights change to a golden hue. Through those curtains steps none other than Leon Corella...]
#THERE IS....A HOUSE.... IN NEW ORLEANS....#
[....He sports full ring gear, consisting of black and gold tights decorated with a metallic golden skull and red rose on the outer thighs, matching elbow and knee pads, similarly detailed wrestling boots, and heavy white tape from his fists to half the forearm. Despite being tied back in a short, tight ponytail, Strands of short blond hair hang in his face as he scans the crowd with ice blue eyes, his gaze intense and intimidating. He still sports the bruises and taping from his UWL match, his left elbow heavily braced and padded.]
#TTTHHHEEEEYYYYY CCCCCAAAAALLLLLL THA RRRRIIIISSSSSSIIIINNNNN' SSSSSUUUUUNNN!!!!#
[Leon strolls down the isle, little in the way of fan fair as he makes his way to the ring. Upon arrival, he hops onto the apron and walks the length of it, looking briefly to the crowd before throwing one leg through the ropes, dipping down and walking out onto the canvas.]
Cruz: THIS COMPETITOR STANDS SIX FEET, FIVE INCHES TALL AND WEIGHS IN AT TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY FIVE POUNDS....
[Front and center he stands, staring hard at the entrance arch with a fierce, steel gaze that withers even the bravest of souls...]
Cruz: FROM PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND,
LLLLLEEEEEOOOOOONNNNNN CCCCCOOOOORRRREEEELLLLLAAAAAA!!!
...He and Jake get face to face with one another, Leon's five inch height difference forcing the man to look up slightly to match that gaze. The Referee moves in to seperate both men... Jake hurls insults at Corella which go, surprisingly, unanswered.
Clement: Leon Corella has been as unpredictable as they come in recent weeks. Which Corella will we get tonight? That could very well determine his chance of winning this thing.
Grayson: He looks focused to me.
Once both men are back from each other at the customary distance, the Ref steps back and motions for the bell.
Immediately, Winchester and Corella go right into a tight collar-elbow tie up. The two men jockey for position until Jake manages to take the lead, throwing Leon into a sideheadlock takedown! Jake holds him there, effectively grounding him out for a few seconds as the crowd watches on. Leon then manages to flex his body, slipping a leg around Winchester's head, pulling him right into a grounded headscissor which Jake rolls out of. Both men get to their feet and lock up once more. Corella takes control with a standing side wristlock, which he then twists with wrenching turns not once, but twice, applying near arm breaking pressure on Jake's elbow and wrist, while holding the hand in an interlaced finger lock, working the individual fingers over to weaken the man's grip!
Clement: Corella working over that arm.
Grayson: He can't lift him up for the Old School Expulsion with a bum arm. Corella is on point thus far.
Jake executes a forward roll, taking the tension out of his arm and going for a fast and loose Lariat, but Corella ducks the arm, pulling him right into an armlock backdrop. Jake flips off of his shoulders before he can even bridge his back, neatly landing on his feet and applying a rear waistlock on Leon. Leon thinks fast as Jake bridges with a snap German Suplex, but in a surprise move, Leon back flips out of the waistlock and lands on both padded knees. Jake rolls to a stand and finds himself surprised as he's quickly scooped up. Leon drives him to the canvas with an impressive power slam, but rolls to a stand while holding his braced arm with a grimace of pain. Both men are on their feet, Jake a little shaken by the forceful slam. He turns just in time to duck a running clothesline from Corella and run in the opposite direction. Both men hit the ropes, rebound, and Jake catches Leon by his injured arm with a Japanese Arm Drag to the canvas! Leon lets out a sharp cry of pain as Jake takes it a step further, twists Leon's arm, and drops a knee right on the side of his elbow! Corella thrashes in pain, clutching the arm close to him and rolling on his side instinctively to protect it.
Clement: Corella now in trouble.
Grayson: And Winchester has zeroed in right on that arm.
Jake then wraps an arm around his neck, slipping him into a grounded sleeper. The two immediately initiate a struggle on the canvas, Leon trying to position himself for better leverage while Jake moves against him to maintain the hold. The two veterans jockey in classic fashion, Jake managing to nullify each and every attempt by Leon to gain the upper hand. With Leon's face rapidly turning purple, he manages to get on all fours with Jake on his back, synching the hold even tighter... telling Leon that he wasn't getting out of this match conscious. Using one arm and both legs, Leon lets out a gargled, straining choke of a growl and forces himself to a stand, his hurt arm clutching one of Jake's legs. Winchester's eyes go wide and he shakes his head left to right wildly. Leon grits his teeth, half conscious and HURLS himself backwards, slamming his full weight into his opponent and brutally slamming him to the canvas with enough force that he lets go. Leon rolls onto his hands and knees, a hand to his throat as Jake gets to a stand and leans into the nearby ropes, a hand to the small of his back.
As Leon gets back to a stand, he finds himself clubbed from behind with an axe handle blow, then pulled right into a high speed spinning neck breaker! Jake immediately goes for the cover!

Shaking his head, Jake pulls Leon to a stand and belts him with a vicious backhand across the jaw, sending him staggering into the ropes. As he approaches, hands raised for a grapple, Leon fires back with a loud, blistering knife edge chop that sends Jake back a step. Having taken many such blows over the years, he fights through it, responding with a chop of his own to Leon's chest! The two initiate a chopping contest right then and there in the ropes, the crowd chanting with each hit!

It's with a thunderous gunshot of a chop that Leon wins the trade off, sending Jake staggering back with visibile blistering on his battle hardened skin. Behind him, Leon didn't look too terribly much better.
Clement: What a series of shots there by both men.
Grayson: Look at how red Winchester's chest is!
Leon moves in, cracking Jake with further chops, driving him back into the far right corner. There, he takes Winchester's arm and sets him for an Irish whip, but only to be reversed and sent hurtling towards the corner. Jake bursts after him full steam ahead and leaps with a hard Stinger Splash in the corner! He backs up, allowing Leon to stumble forward right into his arms where he is lifted up and brought to the canvas with a brutal Belly to Belly Side Slam! On impact, Jake goes for another quick pin!

THR-KICKOUT!!!
Almost! Leon quickly rolls a shoulder up and Jake sits up with frustration on his face. Gathering a stunned Corella off the canvas, he boots him in the gut and lifts him perfectly vertical in a suplex grapple. Turning towards the ropes, he tips Leon's feet forward, setting up for his signature Slingshot Brainbuster, only Leon shifts and presses his feet against the ropes! He flips forward, hooking his arm around Jake's neck and lands with his feet on the canvas, both men forming a human bridge. Leon turns around, turning Jake right into a front facelock and then dropping straight to the canvas with an implant DDT!
Grayson: He may be out of it, Kev.
Leon sits up, his breathing steady and even as he pushes himself to a stand. Jake remains out on the canvas, seemingly stunned as Leon dips down to lift him up. Corella pulls him into a front chancery, throwing one of Jake's arms over the back of his head. Hooking one leg, he then back bridges with a Fisherman's Suplex pin!

THR-KICKOUT!!!
Jake rolls a shoulder up and, without missing a beat, Leon takes that shoulder and the arm it's attached to, and applies a short arm bar on Winchester!
Grayson: Oh he's got him now.
Corella: Corella with that armbar fully applied!
Now it's Winchester on the canvas, struggling to escape the hold, but Leon holds stead fast the entire time. Just as Jake seems inches away from breaking free, Leon switches from a short arm bar to a leg braced wristlock and arm wrench. Jake lets out a snarl of pain as Leon fights him expertly on the mat, matching each and every movement he made with great ease, showing who truly was at home on the ground. Once more, Leon switches up just as Jake almost breaks free, rolling his opponent onto his belly and applying a kneeling inverted Armbar! Still fighting through the pain, panting for breath as his struggles steadily drain him while Leon calmly and evenly breaths, keeping his movements as minimalistic as possible to conserve his energy. Just like before, as soon as Jake seems inches away from the rope, Leon changes the hold, this time wrapping his legs around Jake's arm and whipping him away from the ropes and onto his back with a cross arm breaker!]
Corella: TAP!!! TAP OR I'LL BREAK IT, JAKE!!! TAP DAMN YOU!!! TTTTAAAAAPPPP!!!!
Jake: AAAAAGGGHHH!!!! NNNOOO!!! NO!!! AAAHHNN!!!
Leon twisted and yanked at Jake's arm, twisting the wrist while tortioning the elbow, pulling at the shoulder socket, and yanking and torquing the fingers. It was a complete workout on Jake's right arm, his dominant arm. One thing Leon didn't count on was the closeness of Jake's feet to the ropes... With some stretching and a bit of work, the crafty veteran props his foot on the rope, forcing the referee to intervine! Four and a half seconds later, Leon releases the cross armbar, back rolling to a crouch at the customary distance where he watched and waited...
Grayson: Those ropes may have been the only thing that saved Winchester tonight.
Jake's right arm hangs limply as he uses the ropes to get to his feet. It seems all he can do is wiggle his fingers weekly, the feeling practically non-existent. Merciless to his core, however, Leon bull rushes past the ref, throwing both feet up and catching Jake square in that hurt shoulder with a running drop kick. Winchester winds up flying up and over the ropes, taking a hard landing on his side outside the ring! Wincing, Jake fights to his feet outside the ring, trying desperately to work feeling back into his arm. He looks up and his eyes go wide as Leon dives through the ropes with a Suicide Plancha! Jake is hit full on by the flying Corella, both men driven right into the ring barricade where they fall into a heap!
Clement: Corella just driving Winchester against the barricade with that hard dive to the outside.
Grayson: Yeah, but it looks like Corella is hurt, too.
Leon is to his feet first. He grabs the guard rail to steady himself and starts brutally stomping Jake's arm and shoulder, further weakening the arm. At the moment, all Jake can do is take the abuse. Stopping the asault, Leon gathers Jake up by that arm and pulls him to a painful stand. Gritting his teeth, he then whips him towards the nearest set of ring steps with as much force as he can muster! Winchester hit's the steps knees first, flipping up and over them with a growl of pain. He grips both knees, rolling onto his side after hitting the floor. Leon makes a detour on the way over towards his fallen opponent, rolling under the ropes on one side of the dislodged ringsteps, and then back out on the other side. Tough as nails, Jake's fighting to his feet using the ring steps when Leon moved in behind him with a hard rabbit punch to his kidney. Leon grabs Jake by the back of his head and the hem of his tights and slings him right into the gaurd rail, the entire thing shifting on impact! Jake sits there, panting for breath as Leon, still breathing even and steady, only showing a bit of sweat on his taped brow.
Leon goes for a stomp, but Jake catches it, pushing his foot back, sending his foe stumbling back. As he pushes up on the Guard rails, Leon rushes in with a hint of anger in his eye and pays for it with a sharp back elbow to the jaw. This is immediately followed with Jake catching Leon and tripping him with one foot, sending him chin first into the steel! *CLACK!* said Mr. Chin to Mr. Guard rail and Leon falls to a seat cupping his chin with a growl of pain. Jake, limping with a grimace on his face the entire way, quickly rolls into the ring. There he lays, trying to catch his breath. Meanwhile outside, Leon gets to his feet, shaking his head a bit try and clear the cobwebs some.
Clement: Both of these veterans have taken it to each other. It's anyone's match at this point.
He notices Winchester laid out, so he climbs onto the apron. After walking the length of it, he slowly climbs to the top rope, it's then that Jake sits up and Corella shifts gears, hopping down off the apron and onto the canvas. Jake is back on his feet, though a bit worse for wear... Never the less the two enter the worker's walk, staring hard at one another as they circle. Jake drips with sweat, his breathing uneven but not labored, showing he isn't completely gassed. Meanwhile Leon has only just begun to seriously sweat. Injured or not, his cardio was still up to snuff. Winchester shook his right arm, clearly still feeling the effects of that assault earlier. With a nod, both men raise their arms up and lock up once more. Only Jake fakes Corella out and catches him with a hard back elbow to the face, then sends him for a ride into the ropes. Leon rebounds, catches Jake in a front facelock, but finds himself surprised when Jake reverses it like clockwork into a Northern Light's Suplex pin!

Leon thrashes out of the pinfall, both men getting up. He lights Jake's chest up with a hard back chop, then follows up with a left cross which clearly didn't have as much stink on it as it should have, or Jake shrugged it off and kicked Leon in the gut. Jake then quickly backed into the ropes and sprung back at Corella.
A running knee lift to the chin forces Leon upright, allowing Jake to scoop him up on his shoulders, then whip him around for a TKO jawbreaker! After such an impressive move it's gotta' be over! It's Gotta' be!!! Jake rolls Corella over for a pin attempt!

Clement: NO!
Grayson: How'd he do it?
Leon throw a shoulder up but clearly, he was not all there. Jake lifts him up, shaking his head and shouting out to the crowd....
Jake Winchester: TIME TO GET SCHHHOOOOLLLLEEEDD!!!!
Grayson: Oh no.
Clement: You heard Winchester. It may be time for some Old School Expulsion.
Hooking Corella into a front chancery, he lifts him perfectly vertical and walks towards the ropes. As he does so, Leon spins out of the hold, escaping the move for a second time. Winchester spins right into a gut kick and a standing headscissor, signaling for THE GAME OVER!!
Leon points towards the table outside the ring, then hooks one arm after the other and with a strain of effort, he whips Jake onto his shoulders. He gets a running start for the ropes and just as he's about to launch Jake, the Old School wrestler slips out of the hold, landing on shakey legs behind Corella! Before he can even turn, Leon finds himself hooked in a rear waistlock...
Thinking fast, he pulls himself and Jake forward into the ropes just as Winchester goes for the inevitable bridge. The result has Jake falling into a back roll, but back on his feet in a flash. Leon releases the ropes, turns and rushes right at Jake where the two start trading shots back and forth!
Clement: Back and forth. Forth and back.
Grayson: How are they still standing?
Slowly but surely, Leon starts to get ahead in the exchange, landing more and more shots. Corella then takes Jake by that hurt arm, pulls him into an Irish Whip, but doesn't release, instead whipping him right back into his arms and impressive Spine Buster on the canvas!
Grabbing both of Jake's legs, he starts working him into the Walls of Perfection! Winchester cries out, shaking his head as he fights with every ounce of his being not to be locked up in the crippling submission hold, twisting and turning against Leon every step of the way. Due to Leon fighting with only one good arm, however, Jake slips a leg free and he kicks Leon hard in the chest and forcing him back. Jake then rolls himself to a stand the two lock up once more. The two struggle into the nearest corner where Jake manages to spin Leon's back into it. There, he proceeds to shoulder ram Leon in the guts over and over, Corella letting out a deep grunt with each and every wind taking impact. Jake finally finishes with a hard headbutt that stuns Corella and doesn't seem to do him too many favors either.
Shakin the stars from his vision, Jake then lifts Corella up to a seat on the top turnbuckle, then climbs up, balancing his feet on the second rope. Hooking Leon in a front chancery, he then climbs the final rung, taking Leon up with him. At the last second, Leon fights him, peppering his ribs with right hand body shots that halt Jake's progress. Leon frees himself from the grapple and quickly hits a solid knife edge chop that forces Jake off the turnpost and flat on his back on the canvas! With a shout to the crowd, Leon then jumps off the turnpost, Diving side-style with his elbow held out. It hits dead on the money, getting a direct hit on Jake Winchester with the Diving Elbow. On impact, Leon simply lays across him for a pin attempt!

Jake rolls his shoulder and Leon sits up, taking in a deep breath and shaking his head. He wipes some of the sweat from his brow, the medical tape covering those stitches starting to come loose. Leon then grabs Jake by the back of his head and his arm, easing the man to a stand and whipping him into a corner. Corella joins him there and stuns him with a hard and fierce standing Clothesline. He then scoops Jake up and hangs him in the Tree of Woe!
Grayson: Oh boy.
Clement: He's completely at Corella's mercy now.
From there, Corella grabs the ropes and starts to violently kicking Jake's chest and stomach over and over with repeated short kicks. Over and over, he hammers home until pressing his boot into the man's neck to choke him out! The Ref quickly moves in to admonish Leon, then start the standing count. Four and a half seconds later, Leon releases the hold and backs away the customary few feet. Meanwhile, Jake's legs slip out of the rope sand he falls onto his head and shoulders. The Referee checks on Jake, helping him into an upright, seated position. Jake looks over the ref's shoulders and quickly acts fast, shoving him aside as Leon rushes in like a bull in a china shop! Winchester barely manages to duck and roll to the left, letting Leon straddle the second rope groin first. Corella remains there for a few seconds, one hand cupping his groin as his face is frozen in pain!
Grayson: Hello!
Back on his feet, Jake returns the favor, first with a punch that drops Corella to an awkward seated position in the corner. There he grabs the ropes and starts to kick and stomp curiously at Corella's head and chest, letting his anger boil over at the man. Unlike Leon, however, when he goes to choke, he doesn't use his boot. He drops down and wraps his hands around the man's throat! A warning and a slowly counted four seconds later, Jake finally releases Corella, panting heavily with anger and exhaustion. Meanwhile Leon clutches at his throat, coughing as he fights to regain control of his own breathing. As soon as Leon's back on his feet, Jake rushes in with a second stinger splash, but this time Corella catches him in mid leap! Thinking fast, Jake slips out of his arms, over the rope and onto the apron! Leon takes a swing at him, and Jake blocks the shot, then catches his head with both hands and dropping to the floor, snapping Leon's neck across the top rope! Leon falls flat on his back, clutching at his throat.
Jake fights to get his breathing under control outside the ring, knowing full well that he was, indeed, gassing out big time. He looked up into the ring, seeing Corella already starting to rise back up and started wondering what it's going to take to put this guy down. Winchester slides into the ring and gets to his feet at the same time as Leon, moves in behind him, and hooks him in a rear waistlock. Before he can synch it, Leon maneuvers out of it and pulls Jake into a front chancery. Jake hooks his leg with Leon's to keep from being suplexed, then belts Leon in the ribs and lifts him perfectly vertical! Spinning away from the ropes, Jake turns and drops Leon with a facebuster on the canvas! There he rolls him over for yet another pin.

Jake forces himself free after a hellacious struggle. Both men are on their feet and Jake comes at Corella with a wild, angry swing, catching his foe across the face! Leon responds with a bomb of his own, taped fists colliding with Jake's jaw and sending him back a step! The two the lock up, Leon catching Jake with a knee lift to the midsection and taking him to the canvas with a Judo Hiptoss! Getting to his feet with teeth clenched, Jake turns right into a running Power Clothesline from Corella. Winchester flips from the thunderous impact, landing on his stomach with a hard grunt. Mere seconds later, Leon throws his elbow out and drops it across Jake's lower back.
There he straddles Jake's back, locks him into one of the oldest tricks in Leon's arsenal, a full nelson Camel Clutch he calls "The Perfect Clutch!" Jake writhes in agony but absolutely refuses to tap, even as Leon's grapple threatens to dislocate his shoulders and seperate vertebrae!
Grayson: C'mon Jake. Give up.
Clement: Never. There's no quit in a man like Winchester.
Manning up as he always does, Jake first props one knee up.... then the other... Leon grits his teeth.
Corella: ARE YOU NUTS?! DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!
Shaking his head slowly, Jake then roars and throws himself back. The result puts him on his back, with Leon turning the Full Nelson hold into a grapevine Full Nelson. Arching his legs, he presses both of Leon's shoulder to the mat!

Leon releases the hold and shoves Jake off of him. Both he and Jake are back on their feet in a worker's walk, trying to think up their next move.
There's heat in the ring between these two veterans and it's clear when they lock up once more. Jake breaks from the tie up with a left uppercut and right cross combination strike that sends Leon staggering back. Leon brings his hands up, assuming a classic Pankration stance, which looks somewhat like a mix between shoot wrestler and an oldschool boxer. Jake brings his fists up and the two enter a slugging match, only with Jake throwing a series of strikes that Leon blocks with surprising ease. Jake throws a quick kick which Leon catches under his arm! Kicking Jake's leg out from under him, he bends forward, takes the leg and starts to flip him over.
Just as it seemed the game was over and Leon was about to flip Jake into the Walls of Perfection, he suddenly slips a leg free and forces Leon back with a boot to the chest!
Clement: Winchester thankfully got free just in the nick of time.
Jake gets to his feet, catches the incoming Leon with a boot to the chest, then hooks him into a front chancery, lifts him, slingshots him off the ropes and hits that infamous Brainbuster he calls "THE OLDSCHOOL EXPULSION"!! Leon's skull cracks the canvas and he's out like a light! Hooking both legs into a tight cradle pin, Jake puts Leon's shoulders to the mat and holds on for dear life!

"Kashmir" hit's the house P/A as Jake rises from Leon's semi-conscious form, fists raised in the air. He staggers back on shakey legs, falling into the ropes as a grim look crosses his face. He's just been through a war and he knows it. Still, he has nothing but contempt on his face as he looks upon the slow to rise Leon Corella.
Clement: What a match by two battle tested veterans.
Grayson: I'm surprised they didn't croak out there.
He watches the man get to his feet, the Ref lending a hand. Surprisingly, Leon doesn't shove the man back. Taking in a deep breath to mask his own personal disappointment, Leon holds his hand out towards Jake.
Grayson: Go ahead, Jake. Belt him in the face.
Winchester looks at the hand, then straight up into Leon's eye. He shakes his head and slaps the hand away.
Grayson: Ha! How about that?
Clement: Jake, after a damn good match, apparently still has little love, if any at all, for Corella.
Grayson: Can you blame him?
Ignoring the angry, disappointed expression he receives, Jake turns and slips through the ropes. Hopping of the apron, he head straight for the back, a smirk on his face as he shakes his head, as if to say "Can you believe this guy?"
