Triple Threat Ladder Match for the FGA Championship
(c) A.J. Fairchild vs. Ryan Kidd vs. Preston Blake
[/b][/center]
Cruz: The following contest is your main event of the evening. And it is a Triple Threat Ladder Match for the FGA Championship!
(Cheers and applause can be heard throughout the crowd as a shot of the belt hanging up in the air is shown)
The classic beginning notes of "Ride of the Valkyries" plays over the PA as the fans in attendance know who is about to grace them with their presence. Out through the curtain steps Preston Blake, sporting his Harvard letterman jacket. He looks as dashing and smashing as ever as he makes his way down to the ring. Preston stops halfway down the aisle and surveys the filthy animals that call themselves fans in the crowd. He turns his nose up as he tries to stop from vomiting at the sight of them.
Cruz: Introducing first, from The Hamptons.... Weighing in at 218 pounds.... PRESTON BLAKE!
He continues his walk down the aisle, bypassing the ladder and keeping his arms away from the dirty and disgusting slobs that reach over the guard rail to grab at him. After walking up the steps, he wipes his feet off on the apron. Preston gets in the ring himself, springboards onto the second rope and raises an index finger in the air, letting the crowd know who truly is number one.
Clement: Preston Blake arguably has the most momentum going into this match. He's beaten Ryan Kidd. He's beaten A.J. Fairchild twice. They may not want to admit it. But apart of Kidd and Fairchild has to wonder if they can beat Preston.
Grayson: Maybe. But they don't have to worry about being pinned or made to submit. This is a Ladder Match. Anything goes. Anything can happen.
The lights in the arena dies down as the crowd in the arena screams in anticipation. “In Due Time“ by Killswitch Engage suddenly explodes through the PA system in sync to the pulsation of red lights. We then suddenly see the entrance way being engulf with smoke. Amidst the smoke, we see a figure as the song blasts throughout the airwaves. After several seconds while the smoke starts to clear, the figure materializes and is revealed to be Ryan Kidd.
Cruz: Making his way to the ring… Weighing in at TWO HUNDRED and FIFTEEN POUNDS… From Long Beach, California… The SoCal Superstar… RYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN… KIDD!!
Kidd doesn't dance or shake hands with the fans. He keeps his eyes set on the ring. Kidd makes his way down the aisle. He stops and observes the ladder. He then jumps onto the apron and slingshots himself into the ring.
Clement: Ryan Kidd has come so close, only to come up short so many times. We saw it at Fear Itself. We saw it at Final Frontier. Will we see it again here tonight?
Grayson: Oh yes we will. And thankfully it will be the last time, since Ryan was dumb enough to put his FGA contract on the line.
Clement: Ryan Kidd stated over Twitter that if he lost this match, he'd willingly walk away from FGA. With the unpredictable factor being high for this one, that may prove to be a mistake.
"The Greatest Man That Ever Lived" by Weezer plays over the venue's sound system, and emerging from the back stage area is A.J. Fairchild. The lights in the venue go off, and a spot light follows A.J. as he walks down to the ring. The fans are booing avidly as Fairchild takes his time walking down the entrance ramp. He makes his way down to the ring slowly, his eyes set on the ladder.
Cruz: And their opponent, now residing out on Manhattan, New York.... weighing in at 190 pounds..... he is the reigning.... defending.... FGA Champion..... A.......J..... FAIRCHILD!
Grayson: And here comes the champ!
The loyal fans seated along the entrance ramp area, make the bowing down motion as A.J. strolls pass them. Nearing the end of the exit ramp, A.J. lifts a fist into the air, pumping it a couple of times before darting towards the ring apron. Hopping onto the ring apron, A.J. wipes his boots on the mat, and turns to look at all of the fans in attendance, with a small smirk on his face he grabs the ring ropes and lunges himself over and into the ring.
A.J. then takes his belt and thrust it high in the air, walking around all four corners of the ring repeatedly.
Clement: A.J. Fairchild not getting the warmest of welcomes, even in his adopted hometown. A.J. Fairchild, regardless of his behavior over the past two months, has that big match experience. He has been clutch, winning the 2012 New Frontier Cup and the FGA Heavyweight Championship.
Grayson: A.J. is at a disadvantage. It's two against one. He doesn't have to be pinned or made to submit to lose his belt. But I don't think that's going to happen. Somehow, someway, A.J. will find a way to talk out STILL the FGA Champion.
The bell sounds as all three men begin to circle the ring. Just then, Preston stops moving. He then points to Fairchild. Once he gets Fairchild's attention, Preston begins to motion for both him and Fairchild to attack Kidd. Fairchild looks back at Kidd, then back at Preston. Fairchild smirks as the two begin to inch slowly towards Kidd. The crowd boos.
Clement: I don't like this for Kidd. I don't like this at all.
The two begin to slowly creep up on Kidd from both sides as Kidd inadvertently backs himself into the corner. Just then, Preston grabs Fairchild from behind, runs and tosses him over the top rope and to the floor. The crowd responds with a mixed reaction.
Grayson: And there goes the champ.
Clement: Preston Blake, being the ultimate opportunist once again.
Preston then tries to lunge over and punch Kidd. But Kidd moves out of the way. As Preston turns around in the corner, Kidd unleashes a series of stiff kicks to the chest. He then steps up onto the middle rope and nails Preston with a kick to the face. The crowd cheers. After hopping down, Kidd takes Preston and whips him into the opposite corner. Kidd charges into the corner and goes for a yakuza kick. But Preston catches his foot to boos from the crowd. He then shoves Kidd back, sending Kidd down to the canvas. As Kidd rolls back up, Preston charges from out of the corner. But Kidd delivers a spinning back kick to the midsection, doubling Preston over. He then grabs Preston from behind for the Skywalker. The crowd cheers. But the cheers turn to boos as Preston shoves Kidd off of him and into the ropes. When Kidd comes back, Preston knocks him down with a lariat takedown. Preston then gets up and mocks Kidd to boos from the crowd. But When Preston turns around, Fairchild springboards onto the top rope, leaps off and connects with a dropkick. Preston is then sent stumbling through the ropes and to the floor.
Clement: And now it's A.J. returning the favor by sending Preston to the outside.
With Preston on the outside, Fairchild turns his attention to Kidd. As Kidd tries to get up, Fairchild runs over and delivers a kick to the face, knocking him back down to boos from the crowd. Fairchild reaches down, picks up Kidd, runs into the corner and slams his head into the top turnbuckle. He then turns Fairchild around and unleashes a series of knife-edge chops that echo throughout the building. The crowd boos. Fairchild momentarily takes his attention off of Kidd to argue with the hecklers in the front row. But as soon as he turns back to Kidd, Kidd grabs him, throws him into the corner and lights up his chest with knife-edge chops of his own. The crowd cheers. He then grabs Fairchild and whips him hard into the opposite corner. As Fairchild stumbles out, Kidd goes for a back body drop. Miraculously, Fairchild lands on his feet. He quickly runs into the ropes. When Fairchild comes back, Kidd goes for a clothesline. But Fairchild ducks and runs into the ropes. When Fairchild comes back, Kidd goes for a back elbow. After bouncing off of opposite sets of ropes, they come back towards the center of the ring. Kidd goes for a running clothesline, but Fairchild ducks and the two continue to run into the ropes. After bouncing off of opposite sets of ropes, they come back towards the center of the ring. Fairchild goes for a tilt-a-whirl headscissors, but Kidd counters into a backbreaker. The crowd cheers.
Clement: The action has been fast in this one early on.
Grayson: I can barely keep up.
As Fairchild slowly gets up, Kidd grabs him and whips him into the ropes. When Fairchild comes back, Kidd throws him down with a japanese arm drag. The crowd cheers. Fairchild gets back up, but Kidd throws him back down with another japanese arm drag. The crowd cheers. As Fairchild gets back up, Preston runs into the ring and goes for a clothesline on Kidd. When Kidd comes back, Fairchild nails him with a spinning back kick to the midsection. With Kidd doubled over, Fairchild immediately sets him up for the Haydouken 93. But the crowd boos once Preston lunges over and knocks Fairchild down with a lariat takedown.
Grayson: Nice save there by Preston.
Clement: I don't think the last thing on his mind was "saving" anyone.
Preston then picks up Kidd, brings him into the corner and goes to slam his head into the top turnbuckle. But Kidd places his foot on the middle turnbuckle, stopping the move. After an elbow to the midsection, Kidd grabs a hold of Preston and slams his head into the top turnbuckle. The crowd cheers. After turning Preston around, Kidd whips him into the opposite corner. Kidd runs into the corner, hops onto Preston and monkey flips him from out of the corner. The crowd cheers. Fairchild then tries to attack Kidd. But Kidd blocks the punch and counters with one of his own. He then takes Fairchild and whips him into the opposite corner. Kidd runs into the corner, hops onto Fairchild and goes for a monkey flip. But Fairchild hangs onto the ropes for dear life, forcing Kidd to fall back-first onto the canvas. The crowd boos as Fairchild begins to put the boots to Kidd.
Fairchild picks up Kidd and whips him into the opposite corner. He then charges into the corner and nails Kidd with a corner dropkick. The crowd boos as Kidd falls down from out of the corner. After picking Kidd back up and throwing him down with a scoop slam, Fairchild steps through the ropes. He then connects with a slingshot elbow drop to the chest. The crowd boos. After getting back up and stomping Kidd underneath the bottom rope and to the floor, he turns his attention to Preston. Fairchild goes over and delivers a flying knee strike to the back, sending Preston stumbling into the corner. After turning Preston around, Fairchild delivers a slap that can be heard throughout the building. He then takes Preston and whips him into the opposite corner. Fairchild charges into the corner, but Preston nails him with an elbow to the face. While Fairchild stumbles back, Preston hoists himself up onto the middle ropes, leaps off and knocks Fairchild down with a diving European Uppercut. The crowd boos.
Clement: We've seen a lot of back and forth action thus far. But I wonder when that ladder is going to come into play.
Grayson: Whenever it does, it won't be pretty.
Preston then picks up Fairchild and hits a snap suplex. He then gets up, bounces into the ropes, comes back and connects with a jumping knee drop to the face. Preston then picks Fairchild back up and delivers a European Uppercut, sending Fairchild stumbling into the ropes. Preston goes over, grabs Fairchild and goes for an irish whip. But Fairchild reverses, sending Preston into the ropes. When Preston comes back, he slides through Fairchild's legs. When Fairchild turns around, Preston pops back up to his feet. As Fairchild approaches, Preston knocks him down to one knee with a basement dropkick. He then gets up, places Fairchild in a front facelock and then plants him with a snap DDT. The crowd boos. But the boos soon turn to cheers. As Preston turns around, Kidd knocks him down with a springboard flying forearm to the face. The crowd cheers.
Clement: And Kidd comes flying out of nowhere with an aerial attack!
Kidd then gets up, steps through the ropes and waits on the apron for Preston to get up. Once Preston gets up and turns around, Kidd knocks him down with a springboard flying clothesline. The crowd cheers. Kidd then picks up Preston and whips him into the ropes. When Preston comes back, Kidd knocks him down with a jumping calf kick. He then heads towards the ropes, hops onto the middle rope and goes for a lionsault. But Preston gets his knees up, causing Kidd to crash down across them to boos from the crowd. As Kidd rolls over onto his back, Fairchild heads towards the ropes, hops onto the middle rope and connects with a lionsault. The crowd boos. As Fairchild gets up, Preston spins him around, jumps up and takes him down with a jumping double knee armbreaker. Fairchild can be seen grabbing his arm in pain. Preston picks up Fairchild and whips him hard chest-first into the corner. As Fairchild stumbles back, Preston heads into the corner and goes for a rebound roundhouse kick to the face. But Fairchild catches his foot and then throws him down with a dragonscrew legwhip. Boos and applause can be heard throughout the crowd. As Preston gets up on one knee, Kidd runs over and connects with a Shining Wizard. The crowd cheers.
Kidd and Fairchild then get up and look up at each other. Unimpressed with Kidd, Fairchild goes over, picks up Preston and throws him down with a front suplex. As Preston gets up on both knees, Fairchild runs into the ropes. When he comes back, he nails Preston with a Shining Wizard of his own. Kidd then goes over, picks up Preston and delivers The Breakdown. The crowd cheers. Once again unimpressed, Fairchild goes over, picks up Preston and delivers his version of The Breakdown, the Combo Shinigami. Boos and applause can be heard throughout the crowd.
Clement: It looks like Ryan and A.J. are trying to outdo each other here.
Grayson: Poor Preston
Kidd then picks up Preston, steps back, and then blindsides Fairchild with the Sudden Impact. The crowd cheers. He then quickly turns back to the still stunned Preston and knocks him down with the Sudden Impact. Kidd then turns the aisle and points to the ladder. The crowd cheers. So Kidd drops and rolls to the outside.
Clement: And I think we may see the ladder come into play for the first time tonight.
Grayson: Oh boy, here it comes.
Kidd makes his way up the aisle and closes the ladder. As he grabs the ladder and brings it back to ringside, Preston dives through the ropes and knocks him down with a tope elbow. The crowd boos.
Clement: Kidd caught a faceful of Preston's elbow on that dive.
Grayson: Is Preston okay?
He then gets up and puts the boots to Kidd. He then reaches down, picks up Kidd and throws him down with a scoop slam across the ladder. The crowd boos. After kicking Kidd off the ladder, Preston picks up the ladder. But as soon as he turns towards the ring, Fairchild knocks him down with a springboard senton to the outside. Boos and applause can be heard throughout the crowd.
Clement: And now A.J. with a high risk dive to the outside!
Grayson: He may have caught some of that ladder!
Fairchild slowly gets back up by pulling himself up using the barricade. He then picks up the ladder and slides it halfway into the ring. After rolling himself back in, Fairchild goes to pick up the ladder. But Kidd quickly dives over and lands onto the ladder, sending it smacking Fairchild directly in the face. The crowd cheers as Fairchild goes down. Fairchild can be seen clutching his face while he groans in pain.
Grayson: Oh no! His movie star looks may be ruined!
Kidd then rolls back into the ring. After dragging the rest of the ladder into the ring, Kidd takes the ladder and leans it up in the corner. He then heads over to Fairchild, picks him up and slams his head into the top turnbuckle. After turning Fairchild around, Kidd goes for an irish whip. But Fairchild reverses, sending Kidd into the ladder. The crowd boos as Kidd charges his back in pain. Fairchild then charges forward and goes for a flying knee strike. But Kidd dives out of the way, causing Fairchild to crash into the ladder. The crowd cheers as Fairchild bounces off the ladder and hold his knee in pain. Kidd sees this, so he goes back over, grabs a hold of the ladder and then shoves it down across Fairchild's knee. The crowd cheers.
Clement: Great strategy there by Kidd. If A.J.'s leg is hurt, he can't make it up that ladder as quickly as he'd like.
With Fairchild down, Kidd grabs the ladder, sets it up in the middle of the ring and looks up. Once he sees that he's somewhat lined up, Kidd begins to climb the ladder. The crowd cheers. But the cheers turn to boos once Preston rolls back in, gets up, grabs Kidd and yanks him down from off the ladder. After a quick punch to the gut. Preston grabs Kidd and slams his head against the ladder, sending Kidd stumbling down to the canvas. Preston then closes up the ladder before grabbing it. He walks over to Kidd, hoists the ladder high above his head and then throws it down across Kidd to boos from the crowd. While the ladder is across Kidd's midsection, Preston delivers leg drop.... after leg drop.... after leg drop to Kidd. The crowd boos.
With Kidd down, Preston picks up the ladder, brings it back towards the center of the ring and opens it up. After looking up to see if he's lined up right, he begins to climb the ladder. But his ascent is halted when Fairchild springboards onto the top rope, leaps off and spears Preston off the ladder and to the canvas. Boos and applause can be heard throughout the crowd.
Clement: What a move by A.J. Fairchld!
Grayson: I guess that leg isn't so bad after all!
While Preston clutches his ribs in pain, Fairchild gets up and tries to walk off the pain in his leg. He then goes over and delivers a hard punch to the face of Kidd, sending him slumping down in the corner. He then limps back over and puts the boots to Preston. With Preston down, Fairchild picks up the closed ladder and leans it up in the corner. After stepping through the ropes, Fairchild climbs up to the top turnbuckle. He then waits impatiently for Preston to get up. Once Preston gets up and turns around, Fairchild hops onto the ladder like a tree and rides it down, knocking Preston down with the ladder. The crowd boos.
Clement: Interesting offense there.
Fairchild then heads to the outside, where he limps around the ring, grabs two steel chairs and tosses them into the ring.
Clement: This can't be good.
Grayson: Nope, not at all.
After rolling back in, Fairchild picks up one of the cheers, goes over to Kidd and cracks him across the back with it. As Preston gets up, Fairchild goes over and jabs him in the midsection with the belt. While Preston is doubled over, Fairchild raises the chair above his head and cracks Preston across the back with it. The crowd boos. After opening up both steel chairs and setting them at a specific distance, he then takes the closed ladder and lays it across the chairs, making a makeshift table.
Fairchild picks up Preston and knees him in the midsection, doubling him over. He then sets up Preston for the Haydouken 93. Boos and applause can be heard throughout the crowd.
Clement: Oh boy.
Grayson: I think I know what comes next.
But before Fairchild can execute the move, Preston stands up. With Fairchild on his shoulders, Preston turns around and delivers an Alabama Slam, throwing Fairchild back-first across the ladder. Boos and applause can be heard throughout the crowd as Fairchild groans in pain. After Preston stumbles backwards into the corner, Kidd pulls himself up using the ropes. He turns and sees Preston in the corner, then down at Fairchild. Kidd then immediately steps through the ropes, walks along the apron and climbs to the top turnbuckle. The crowd cheers as Kidd poses before diving off and connecting with the Leap of Faith on Fairchild. The force bends the ladder to cheers from the crowd.
Crowd: RYAN KIDD! RYAN KIDD! RYAN KIDD! RYAN KIDD! RYAN KIDD!
Clement: A.J. Fairchild may have just been broken in half!
As Ryan slowly gets up to his feet, Preston creeps up from behind, grabs him and throws him shoulder-first into the ring post. The crowd boos as the thud can be heard throughout the building. Preston then brings a doubled over Kidd from out of the corner and applies the Crossface Chickenwing to boos from the crowd. But the boos turn to cheers when Kidd low blows Preston, nailing him with a mule kick. The crowd cheers as Preston lets go and doubles over in pain. Kidd then steps back before nailing Preston with the Sudden Impact, sending him stumbling into the ropes. Kidd then runs forward and delivers a clothesline that sends both men over the top rope. But while Preston falls to the floor, Kidd hangs on to the top rope. The crowd cheers.
Kidd tries to skin the cat, but he can't pull himself up. Kidd tries to skin the cat but again, he can't pull himself up.
Clement: That should may still be hurting after colliding with the ring post.
Kidd then lets out a groan as he skins the cat, pulling himself over the top rope and back into the ring to cheers from the crowd. As soon as he turns around, Fairchild charges forward and goes for a clothesline. But Kidd grabs a hold of the top rope and pulls down, sending Fairchild over the top rope and to the apron. The crowd cheers as Kidd gets back up. But the cheers soon turn to boos as Fairchild pulls himself up using the ropes. He then goes for a springboard flying forearm to the back of the head. But Kidd counters by connecting with a pele kick. The crowd cheers.
Clement: What a counter by Ryan Kidd, knocking A.J. out of the air with that backflip kick. It's like he knew it was coming!
With Fairchild down inside the ring and Preston outside the ring, Kidd rolls to the outside. He then kneels down, pulls up the ring curtain and drags out another ladder. The crowd cheers.
After sliding the ladder into the ring, Kidd slowly rolls himself back in. He then brings the ladder towards the center of the ring, opens it up and begins to climb it. As Kidd is about five rungs up, Fairchild begins to turn over. He then pulls himself up using the other side of the ladder. As Kidd is about eight rungs up, Fairchild looks up and sees Kidd. As Kidd is about 12 rungs up, he reaches up. But the belt is just out of his range. Fairchild then climbs the ladder as fast as he can. Kidd goes to reaches the belt with his right hand. But Fairchild reaches up and grabs his right wrist. As the two struggle, Kidd then reaches up with his left hand to grabs the belt. This time, Fairchild grabs Kidd's left wrist. As the two struggle, Kidd lunges forward and nails Fairchild in the face with a headbutt, breaking his grip on Kidd. Now free, Kidd reaches up and grabs the title to cheers from the crowd. But before Kidd can pull it off the ring, Fairchild lunges up and rakes him across the eyes.
Clement: Kidd was so close! He had it in his hands!
With Kidd stunned, Fairchild grabs Kidd and tries to suplex him off the top of the ladder. Boos and applause can be heard throughout the crowd. But Kidd blocks it. Fairchild tries for another suplex off the ladder. But again, Kidd blocks it. As the two continue to struggle up top, Preston rolls into the ring. He then pulls himself up using the ropes, looks up and sees what's going on. So he heads over and begins climbs up the side of the ladder that Fairchild is on. After about the 12th rung, Preston carefully turns himself around on the ladder so that he's facing out at the crowd. He then reaches up with both arms and grabs a hold of Fairchild's thighs. As Fairchild goes to suplex Kidd off the ladder, Preston delivers a sitdown powerbomb off the ladder on Fairchild. All three crash to the canvas to cheers from the crowd.
Grayson: AH!
Clement: My God, what impact!
Crowd: THIS IS AWESOME! (clap-clap, clap-clap-clap) THIS IS AWESOME! (clap-clap, clap-clap-clap) THIS IS AWESOME! (clap-clap, clap-clap-clap)
Clement: Everyone's down! How can they even walk after that?
All three men are down. But not for long as Preston begins to move around on the canvas. He clutches his tail bone as he crawls with one arm towards the ropes. Once he reaches the ropes, he uses all three levels of ropes to pull himself back up to his feet. He then begins to slowly limp across the ring. After gingerly reaching down and picking up the ladder, Preston secures it before standing it up. He then begins to slowly climb up the ladder to boos from the crowd.
Grayson: We could be looking at our new champion, Kev.
While Preston is about six rungs up the ladder, Fairchild slowly gets back up to his feet. He then limps over and begins climbing up the same side of the ladder that Preston's on.
Fairchild tries to grab a hold of Preston's ankle, but Preston shakes free of Fairchild's loose grip and then kicks him in the head. Preston tries to climb up some more rungs. But Fairchild reaches up and grabs his ankle, slowing him down. Now about five rungs apart, Fairchild reaches up and low blows Preston. After climbing up some more, Fairchild is now on Preston's back. He then jumps off the ladder, grabs Preston in mid air and brings him down with a backstabber off the ladder. Cheers and applause can be heard throughout the crowd.
Clement: What a move off the ladder! Preston's back may be snapped in two!
Preston is down while Fairchild grabs his legs in pain. Meanwhile, Kidd slowly rolls to the outside. He reaches underneath the ring and pulls out a table to cheers from the crowd. After setting up the table on the outside, Kidd reaches underneath the ring.... and pulls out another table to even louder cheers.
Grayson: What is he doing?
After setting up the second table, Kidd carefully lifts it up and stacks it on top of the other ladder.
Grayson: Oh no....
As soon as Kidd gets in the ring, he goes over and picks up Preston. After kicking him in the midsection, he lifts Preston over across one shoulder. He then turns, charges forward and throws Preston off his shoulder and to the outside, delivering a single shoulder powerbomb through the two tables on the outside.
Grayson: Preston!
Crowd: FGA! FGA! FGA! FGA! FGA!
Clement: Powerbomb through the tables! Preston Blake just got powerbombed through both tables. And his body looks to be a mangled mess!
Kidd then goes over, picks up the ladder, closes it and leans it up against the corner. He then goes over to Fairchild, hoists him up onto his shoulders, runs and buckle bombs him into the ladder. The crowd cheers. After Fairchild collapses to his knees, Kidd nails him with a series of buzzsaw kicks using his right and left legs. Kidd then steps back and blasts Fairchild with the Sudden Impact, knocking him down. Kidd then points up to the title. The crowd cheers.
Grayson No, no, no, no, no....
Clement: It's all over but the crying, Evan.
Kidd takes the ladder, brings it back towards the center of the ring and looks up. After seeing that he's somewhat in line, Kidd opens up the ladder, stands it up and begins to climb to cheers from the crowd.
Clement: And there goes Kidd up the ladder!
Grayson: Slip! Fall! Please!
Kidd is about halfway up the ladder. He looks down below him. Fairchild is still down and Preston is still down amongst the debris. He then looks back up as he continues climbing. The crowd cheers. Once Kidd reaches the fourth to last rung from the top, he smiles as he reaches up and grabs the ladder. Just then, the lights go out.
Grayson: What the? Where did everybody go?
Clement: What's going on here?
Grayson: I don't know.
Clement: What the....?
When the lights come back on, The Murder are on the opposite side of the ladder. They hammer away with clubbing shots to boos from the crowd.
Clement: The Murder! What are The Murder doing out here!?
But the boos turn to cheers as Kidd knocks then off the ladder one by one. As Kidd climbs up three more rungs, he reaches up to grab the belt. But Malcolm Drake gets up, runs over and shoves over the ladder, sending Kidd falling off the ladder. Kidd then bounces off the ropes before landing hard on the canvas. The crowd boos as both Drake and Harter put the boots to Kidd. They then each pick up the two steel chairs from behind and hammer away on Kidd, delivering vicious chairshot after chairshot to his prone body. They then throw the chairs to the outside as they look on, proud over what they just did.
Clement: Those damn Murder struck again!
Grayson: Thank God
The boos turn to cheers as Pat Gordon, Jr, Bob Pooler and Johnny Blayze rush down to the ring. Seeing that they're outnumbered, The Murders slip through the ropes and jump the barricade. They then taunt the threesome as they stare them down from the opposite side of the barricade.
Back in the ring, Fairchild slowly pull himself up. After limping across the ring, he picks up the ladder and stands it up. He then begins to climb the ladder. On the outside, Preston is still down. And Gordon jr, Pooler and Blayze have hopped the barricade to try and find The Murder, who appear to be out of sight at this point. Back in the ring, Fairchild continues his ascent up the ladder. He looks around and smiles, seeing that there's no one top stop him. The crowd boos. But Fairchild just chuckles at the hecklers as he reaches up.... and snatches his championship belt. The bell sounds as the crowd boos.
Cruz: here is your winner and STILL FGA Champion, A.J. FAIRCHILD!
Clement: Damn! Not like this. Not like this!
Grayson: He's done it. A.J. retains! A.J. retains! And Ryan Kidd.... is HISTORY! What a night!
Clement: It was highway robbery, that's what happened! Ryan Kidd had this damn match won and he got screwed yet again. This time by that damn Murder!
