Amanda Johnson: Amanda Johnson here and with me right are a couple of guys who were successful in their first outing in FGA as a team, TJ Techniques and the current United States Champion, Sparrow! Guys, congratulations! You guys were amazing out there!

Sparrow: Amanda, we weren’t just amazin’ yes. We damn near put something ill on the plate. This is gonna be something for all the tag teams that...Well. How do we even begin?

TJ Techniques: If you had this match six years ago, then boys would’ve blew us out the damn water. But of course they would. This time six years ago, neither one of us had made our professional debuts. But this ain’t 2017. It’s 2023 and this year, when it comes to tag team wrestling in FGA, me and this man are about to take over the block. No ifs, ands or buts about it. The SMWB, I wouldn’t call 'em light work. But that was just a taste of what’s to come. That out there? That was just a lil sample of what me and my mans cooked up to get your mouth’s waterin’.

Amanda Johnson: I spoke to the SMWB earlier in the show about how testy things had gotten between the two teams in the lead up to this match. Especially between you and Max Powers.

Amanda gestures over to TJ.

Amanda Johnson: Is there any bad blood between you guys? Is there mutual respect now?

TJ Techniques: Aye man, it’s like this. The proof was in the puddin’. After we showed & proved out there, they got no choice but to respect us. If they don’t, they just some haters. But to make it clear, we respect they legacy. They’ve won titles all over. The two of them did they thing… in the past. It’s the present now, baby. Wrestling is a “what have you done for me lately” sport and lately, them red and green boys have been getting packed up. Now like I said, we respect they legacy. Me and Sparrow are tryin’ to win the same amount of Tag Titles that they did… and then some. But Max over there was talkin' real greasy on the internet. He's got a habit of gettin' slick with his mouth. So what did me and Sparrow do? We had to check that chin and let him know what time it was.

Sparrow: Look, look, look. Here’s the thing Amanda. It ain’t just the whole matching gear that makes a team...Even though we got that. It ain’t just the team moves that makes a team...We got that too, just ain’t put y’all up on the names yet...It ain’t even the entrance team music to boot...Even though we got that too. It’s that this went beyond what Max and Landon understood here. Now I ain’t expect SMWB to keep up with everything we do, or everything occuring in other companies, but me and Teej was squadin’ out for a while now. Y’all think it’s a coincidence that we tight with Antoinette? Much love to Chandler Scott for mentioning Teej, Me, Ant, Brianna, and Emergy because ironically the BEATS Team, that whole alliance been a thing for a few years now over in Liberty Pro. This group of ours BEEN up, and me and Teej teaming just been in the works for a while now...

Amanda Johnson: Your first win as a team in FGA wasn’t the only big news coming out of Vertigo. At the top of the show, we had the return of Chandler Scott. During Chandler’s speech, he mentioned wanting a match between the two of you down the road. Your thoughts?

TJ Techniques: As he should. That man ain’t dumb. He knows what times it is. He knows what Sparrow and myself being to the table. But here’s the thing, bro. That man needs to understand somethin’. And it’s the same thing that the SMWB learned the hard way. Chandler was the man in his day. But guess what? Today ain’t his day and if I’m keepin’ in a buck, it's been a minute since it's been his day. You wanna test yourself against The Funky Technician and the West Indian Whirlwind? Bet. But remember, when you step in there with us, it ain’t gon’ be easy. When you go up against us, you gettin’ thrown straight into the deep waters. For his sake, his ass better still know how to swim.

Sparrow disappeard off camera and returned with a duck shaped flotation device around his waist. If you will, the episode of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with Carlton’s “duck” Howard? That exact one. Don’t ask how The West Indian Whirlwind found it.

Sparrow: Oh hold up, you mean everyone else gotta learn to swim. Aight nevermind brethren hold on.

The United States champion works off the inner tube and tosses it away off camera. Amanda Johnson looks as though she’s fighting off a laugh.

Sparrow: Chandler dropped that ‘who’s who’ wishlist of young talent now that I think about it. Bana was droppin’ named from Sid The Kid, Mara Jade...Man clocked Freddie and Donnie too, ssshhhiiiiitttt. Aye, say what. I’m ready to go anytime and any place and any day but I’mma wait for him to erase karma from the universe when he contends with Carmy. Carmichael...Nah I like Carmy better. That’s all Chandler for real though. Revenge will do things to a wrestler, Amanda. You can’t sleep, you can’t eat, the gym workouts don’t hit right, the rehabs don’t hit right...It consumes you.

Amanda Johnson: Two more questions for you guys. I wanted to go back to your tonight. You’ve both expressed interest in going after the Tag Team Titles. Is it safe to say that Silk & Cyanide are on notice?

TJ Techniques: You damn right they on notice. As a matter of fact, we’re gonna call our shot right here, right now. ‘Cause unless them two want to kick back in the locker room and waste another two months knocking back more bottles of Barefoot, who else are they gon’ defend the titles against? SMWB? They a no-factor right now. Strike 2 Kill? They just beat them. Ashes to Ashes? They beat them, too. Illuminati Projekt? They beat them, too. So if not us, then who?

Sparrow: Well...There is one particular team that seemed to have been formed up...Or forming up rather nicely. One half of them, Julian...? Well he knows TJ real well after OTSS. Me and Betsy though, shoot...Sis we can get real acquainted if you wanna be about that. My crown will stay like my fitteds, thanks.

Amanda Johnson: Lastly, I wanted to speak to your about your singles ambitions. Even though the two of you are gunning for the Tag Titles, neither of you are putting your singles pursuits on hold.

TJ Techniques: Absolutely not. There was a reason that I cashed in the 15 Championship for a shot at the Pride Championship. Julian Tijerina is gon’ find out why real, real soon.

Amanda Johnson: And Sparrow, what’s next for you and your United States Championship?

Sparrow glances at TJ and mouths ‘May I?’ before clearing his throat.

Sparrow: Y’know Amanda, it’s funny that you ask because like...I been in someone’s purview for a little bit now. Going off what Theodore Harris had to hint about me at Only The Strong Survive and another situation where I kinda found myself...Indirectly terrorizing Logan so to speak, maybe it’s high time that me and him just finally put all this to rest with one big blowout match, ya see what I sayin’? U.S. championship on the line and all of that, and if he wanna go, we can go. Name the stipulations, the place, the time, all of that...But understand Amanda. It’s collection SZN for us. It’s keepin’ season. The 15. The U.S. The Tag Team Titles. Def Before Dishonor will run FGA. We was lockin’ it before but now? Gawddamn.
