Shortly after Vertigo has gone off the air, a camera finds Lowri Moss sitting on a crate somewhere backstage. Dressed in a pair of navy blue jeans and a black hoodie, with a trolley case by her feet, Lowri is looking at something on her mobile phone when she is accosted by Amanda Johnson, who calls out to the FGA World Champion.

Amanda Johnson: Hey, Lowri!

Looking up from her phone, Lowri smiles politely as she greets the reporter.

Lowri Moss: Hi, Amanda.

Amanda Johnson: I hadn't realised that you were here tonight.

Lowri places her phone in one of her pockets, before replying.

Lowri Moss: Yeah, I know I didn't appear on the show, I’ve kinda been keeping myself to myself, but I still wanted to be here, if only to support Gareth and to watch his match, especially considering who his opponent was tonight.

That last part causes Amanda to raise an eyebrow.

Amanda Johnson: You mean Nina?

Lowri responds with a nod of her head.

Lowri Moss: Tonight may have been the first time that she explicitly mentioned me by name, but she had already made it clear during previous shows, as well as on Twitter, that her objective is to be the FGA World Champion, and I can assure her, that had not gone unnoticed.

Amanda acknowledges that statement with a nod of her own.

Amanda Johnson: Following the end of the match between her and Gareth, Kris Cruise said that he thought Nina had sent a message with her performance–

She is interrupted in mid-sentence by Lowri.

Lowri Moss: And it was received, Amanda. Loud and clear.

Amanda Johnson: How is Gareth doing, by the way, after what happened earlier?

There is a half-hearted shrug of the shoulders from Lowri, not seeming all that concerned about her other half’s wellbeing.

Lowri Moss: He’ll live.

She leaps off the crate.

Lowri Moss: Nina said that she’s hunting me, Amanda. Good. I’m the FGA World Champion– everyone on the roster should be hunting me and my title; Nina, Seth, Savannah, Owen, Sparrow, TJ–

Now it is Amanda’s turn to interrupt Lowri.

Amanda Johnson: John Carmichael?

Lowri nods once more.

Lowri Moss: Yes, and John Carmichael, of course.

Amanda Johnson: How do you feel about what he did at the end of the last show, attacking you after your match with Fujiko?

Lowri runs a right hand through her hair, before she then proceeds to give Amanda an answer.

Lowri Moss: Two months have passed since it occurred, Amanda, so I’m not as angry about it now as I would’ve been if you had asked me about it immediately afterwards, or a day or two after.

She lets out a sigh.

Lowri Moss: I understand why he did what he did: he wants the World title, obviously. I would’ve preferred that he had made his intentions known in a different way though– thinking about it now, maybe I jinxed myself when I said I was appreciative that Fujiko called her shot by coming out and standing on the stage after my match with Ace at Grapland, rather than by blindsiding me with an attack from behind like others had done in the past.

Another, smaller sigh follows.

Lowri Moss: But I guess he got what he wanted, right? A match with me for the World title, at Only the Strong Survive.

Amanda Johnson: On the subject of the upcoming match between the two of you at Only the Stro–

Lowri suddenly raises a hand, prompting Amanda to pause.

Lowri Moss: Hold that thought.

She retrieves her phone from her jeans and glances at the screen.

Lowri Moss: Gareth is wondering where I am.

After putting the phone back in her pocket again, she then returns her attention to Amanda.

Lowri Moss: Sorry to cut this short, Amanda, but I need to go.

Amanda Johnson: It’s okay, Lowri. I’m sure there’ll be another opportunity to talk to you about your match with John Carmichael before it takes place– hopefully Spencer or Jessie won’t beat me to it!

Amanda and Lowri share a laugh.

Amanda Johnson: Can I just quickly ask you about something else though, before you go?

Lowri gives another shrug.

Lowri Moss: I suppose so - as long as you’re quick.

Amanda Johnson: I noted that recently over in MWE, you vacated their World Championship, and I know that others have noted this as well– is there anything that we should be concerned about?

Lowri places her hand on her hip.

Lowri Moss: I guessed I might get asked about this.

She gazes down at the floor for a moment, before looking back up at Amanda.

Lowri Moss: I’ve said for years, Amanda, that FGA is my home, and all you and everyone else really need to know is that now… FGA is my exclusive home.

She takes her hand off her hip and grabs ahold of the handle of her trolley case.

Lowri Moss: Enjoy the rest of your night, Amanda.

Lowri then smiles at Amanda once more as she wanders off, pulling her case behind her, and the scene cuts away.

THE FOLLOWING AFTERBURN IS A SEGMENT THAT DID NOT AIR DURING VERTIGO DUE TO TECHNICAL ISSUES

A hand lightly raps against a locker room door. We pan out to see that it’s Piper Lennon, looking very … Piper-ish with the noted addition that she’s wearing an obnoxiously loud pair of Zubaz pants as part of her ring gear & holding a matching pair of them in her free hand

Piper Lennon: Yo! Champ-Ant, you got a sec? It’s Piper, I brought you those matching pants you asked for as part of ‘Team Pants’

Without making her wait long, the door swings open revealing none other than her partner for this evening and the current FGA Legacy Champion, Antoinette!

ANTOINETTE: Piper!! Awh girl, I’m so excited that you were serious about getting them! This is going to be perfect and the best finishing touches to an already promising team!

She says reaching out for the pants as she grabs a hold of them, holding them against herself as she smirks.

ANTOINETTE: Team Pants is in full force tonight! I just know that with the power of Zubaz we’re going to blow the roof off this place tonight!

She says reassuringly before she looks at her partner for this evening.

ANTOINETTE: Tonight is a new night but I haven’t forgotten about last week. How are you feeling?

Piper steps into the room, glancing around at the surroundings as she responds.

Piper Lennon: Good, good, thanks; I mean a bit sore, but nothing that can’t be written off as a fun night out. Thanks though, I don’t think Mara was gonna let up anytime soon. I know they said it was because of my fair & balanced comments on the early 90’s grunge scene, but I think that was just an excuse & they wanted to stomp me from my V to my A regardless.

Whirling around, she eyes Ant up & down before looking her directly in the eyes.

Piper Lennon: Thanks for the help, I kinda gotta think about more than myself even if I feel like I could ride out the storm & see how it goes. Soooo … you just really go out there and just like, act on whatever you feel is right, huh? That’s wild.

Antoinette smiles and nods her head before she looks up at her back in the eyes.

ANTOINETTE: Of course! That’s how I usually do it! You have to listen to your gut and your heart and do what feels right. And everything else? Comes to you like magic.

She gives a reassuring smile as she puts a hand up to her shoulder giving a nod.

ANTOINETTE: I appreciate you, and I want you to know that I got your back. You have skills and the future is bright for you, I just know it! TEAM PANTS!!!

Piper scratches her chin as she considers that before nodding & flashing a toothy grin.
