MAIN EVENT
FGA UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP
(c) Owen Gonsalves vs. Sparrow
Melanie Sierra: The following contest, scheduled for one fall, is your main event and it is for the FGA UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP!
Geoff Penzer: It is main event time, ladies and gentlemen! Here! We! Go!
“Oh give the drummer some, yeah yeah! (Yah!)
Oh give the drummer some, yeah yeah! (Uh!)
Oh give the drummer some, yeah yeah! (Rah!)
Oh give the drummer some, yeah yeah! (Drop it.)"
From the entrance to the ring, Sparrow appears through the curtain flanked by manager Caroline Dallins. The West Indian Whirlwind begins high-fiving fans on his way down the ramp, all the while Caroline stresses important points to her client and glares. He gets to the outside of the ring as “Gold Watch” continues playing before he jumps and lands on the apron. Caroline simply takes the stairs.
A second jump sees The West Indian Whirlwind clear the ring ropes before throwing his hat into the audience. With an eyeroll from his manager, Sparrow then takes off for the farthest side of the ring. He springs onto the second rope, executing a backflip. Sparrow lands on his feet in the middle of the squared circle. He does a sliding motion on his heel before turning and striking a Rock Lee pose to the cheers of the crowd. Meanwhile, Caroline shakes her head in disgust and mouths at Sparrow to ‘focus’.
Melanie Sierra: Introducing first, the challenger! From South Oropouche, Trinidad! Weighing in at 205 pounds! He is "The West Indian Whirlwind" SPARROW!
“Got my, gold watch and my, gold chain,
With my, fancy car and my diamond ring!
With my fancy broad and she foreign!
So its, no words and its, no slang, and I'm no trick and I'm no lame.
Its just so slick that she's so game, and its...
Yea, yea she love it over here. Its just yea, yea she love it over here!”
Sparrow leans up against his corner, talking a few seconds with his manager before looking out to the crowd. Caroline finishes going over some last minute points she has to make and he nods, agreeing...For the most part. After some discourse, she heads out of the ring, leaving the White Hat of FGA to his match.
Geoff Penzer: Sparrow is coming into this match with confidence. He’s been tested against many of the great technical wrestlers both in and out of FGA, Owen Gonsalves included. We know his struggles against those wrestlers. We know of his defeat a couple of months back against Owen in his first reign as United States Champion. But Sparrow is also a man that has more than held his own against the best of the best, both in and out of FGA. Sparrow isn’t shying away from the moment. He isn’t intimidated by Gonsalves. He wants this. He wants this chance to knock off Owen and become the Unites States Champion. He successfully defended the 15 Championship before cashing it in to get to this point. The man is ready for this moment.
The hard bass of Run The Jewels’ “Blockbuster Night Part I” causes the floor to vibrate as the crowd instantly come to their feet, knowing fully well who is about to make his entrance. All eyes are on the curtain as they wait for his arrival. A white bright light flashes at every beat, and the fans in attendance are slamming anything they can to the beat.
'Bunches and bunches
Punches is thrown until you’re frontless
Oodles and oodles
Bang bullets at suckers' noodles
Last album? Voodoo!
Proved that we was fuckin' brutal
I’m talking crazy, half past the clock is cuckoo'
As soon as the incomparable Killer Mike kicks into his verse, the white flashing light stops and Owen Gonsalves bursts through the curtain with a pace that matches the rhythm of the track. He storms his way to the top of the entranceway and pauses to soak in the electric energy from the crowd, with a smirk on his face as he unzips the jacket revealing his United States Championship around his waist. Once El-P's verse begins, Wristlock Sinatra immediately begins to walk down towards the ring as he has his hands outstretched, his eyes staying focused on the ring he’s about to go to work in.
'Look at these kiddies, Mike
I'm a rat-a-tat 'em for living
I deal in dirty work
Do the deed and then dash
Ditch 'em'
Melanie Sierra: His opponent, from Melbourne, Australia! Weighing in at 205 pounds! He si the reigning and defending FGA United States Champion! He is "Wristlock Sinatra" OWEN GONSALVES!
Having made his way to the bottom of the ramp, Owen starts shadow striking to the camera at the bottom of the ramp before feigning a rolling elbow in the camera's direction as El-P says 'ditch 'em' to which the camera reacts accordingly. He paces around the ring, keeping his energy high before plodding up the steps, wiping his feet as soon as he steps on the apron. He moves down the apron and faces the crowd, mouthing a few words to a few of the fans in the front row as he raises his United States Championship high above his head before he enters the ring. He paces around the ring with the championship before he places under the bottom turnbuckle in a corner while he warms up and stretches, awaiting the start of the match.
Geoff Penzer: Owen Gonsalves continues to prove that he’s not just a Technical Spectacle, but he’s one of the best wrestlers going in the sport of wrestling today. The man continues to raise his profile while waving the flag for FGA. Inside of FGA, he was this close to tying the record for most successful championship defenses in his first reign as United States Champion. Credit to Gareth Prichard Jr, who actually outwrestled Gonsalves on the mat and took the championship off of him. Gonsalves was down, but not out. Wristlock Sinatra came back and won back the United States Championship. There’s still some unfinished business between him and Prichard. Him and HENNY continue to have a war of words and it’s just a matter of time before things comes to a ahead between the two of them here in FGA. Tonight, though, is all about Sparrow. He can’t focus on HENNY and Prichard. He can’t focus on his other championships and his other companies. Gonsalves had to be in the moment because let me tell you, Sparrow is laser focused. Sparrow believes that he can beat Gonsalves this time around and to be honest, if Gonsalves isn’t careful and if he isn’t on his A-game, Sparrow will leave tonight with the Unites States Championship. Gonsalves has got a hell of a tough task ahead of him. But I know he’s up for the challenge. Let’s get to it.
The bell sounds as Gonsalves and Sparrow start things off with a handshake. Both grapplers are met with applause.
Geoff Penzer: Great show of sportsmanship there from both men.
Bot grapplers proceed to circle the ring. Gonsalves then starts to cut off the ring as he tries to inch closer and closer to Sparrow. The champion shoots in for a takedown, but Sparrow is able to strafe out of the way. Gonsalves quickly gets back up off his knee and continues to walk down Sparrow. The champion tries and gets Sparrow to bite on a feint. He then quickly shoots in for another ankle pick. But once again, Sparrow is able to strafe out of the way.
Geoff Penzer: Gonsalves is immediately trying to grab a hold of Sparrow. Sparrow knows how dangerous Gonsalves can be. Gonsalves has the advantage on the mat side of things. If they trade holds or if this thing goes to the ground, Sparrow is in trouble. So the challenger is doing his best to use his agility to his advantage.
Gonsalves gets up and continues to walk down Sparrow. Once Gonsalves is in striking distance, he nails Sparrow with a low leg kick. Gonsalves tries to get Sparrow to bite on a feint before catching him with another low kick. After Sparrow winces from a another low kick, Gonsalves shoots in, snatches a hold of the right leg and knocks Sparrow down with a back heel trip.
Geoff Penzer: Owen’s got him down!
The champ quickly follows up with an elbow drop across the leg. Gonsalves follows up with two more elbow drops across the leg before grabbing the foot and bending the leg while keeping it pinned underneath his elbow. The ref quickly checks in on Sparrow and asks him if he wants to give up. Sparrow is visibly in pain. But he doesn't want to give up. So Gonsalves applies more pressure to the hold. When he sees that this won't be enough to get Sparrow to tap, Gonsalves transitions into a Stretch Muffler! Dallins can be seen slapping the apron at ringside. Sparrow yells out in pain while Gonsalves pushes down on the thigh and shin, which applies pressure to the knee. Sparrow grits his teeth as he tries to fight through the pain. He's asked if he wants to give up. The West Indian Whirlwind refuses by shaking his head. After pushing himself up onto his hands, he quickly claws his way over towards the side of the ring and grabs a hold of the bottom rope, forcing a rope break.
Geoff Penzer: Good escape there by the challenger.
Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!
Gonsalves breaks the hold and backs up towards the center of the ring. After Sparrow gets back to his feet, Gonsalves immediately heads back over towards him. As soon as Gonsalves tries to attack, Sparrow wisely sticks his upper body through the middle & top ropes, which forces the ref to move Gonsalves back.
Geoff Penzer: Sparrow wasn’t about to let Gonsalves continue to go to work on him. Smart move by Sparrow.
Gonsalves taps his temple and points over to Sparrow before backing away. Once Gonsalves is a considerable distance away from Sparrow, he steps back into the ring. Both grapplers start to circle the ring. When Gonsalves inches in to attack, he gets caught off guard by a low kick from Sparrow. Champion and challenger continue to feint strikes until Gonsalves gets caught with another low kick. Sparrow quickly follows up with a low kick with the opposite leg.
Geoff Penzer: Sparrow now giving Owen a taste of his own medicine.
Sparrow starts to bounce on the balls of his feet while Gonsalves shakes off the blows. Wristlock Sinatra tries to close the gap by inching closer and closer to Sparrow. In the blink of an eye, Sparrow catches him with another low kick. NO! This time, Gonsalves checks the kick and rushes the challenger. Sparrow runs backwards before Gonsalves pushes him up against the ropes. Sparrow pivots and presses Gonsalves up against the ropes before the U.S. Champion returns the favor and finds himself back in the dominant position. The ref is quick to head over and give both grapplers to the count of five to break it up.
Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!
Sparrow puts his hands in the air. Gonsalves slowly follows suit. He starts to step back away from Sparrow... before firing off a shoot kick to the chest. NO! Sparrow catches the leg. He keeps hold of the leg, steps out to the apron and delivers a dragon screw leg whip against the middle rope! Gonsalves immediately goes down before Sparrow comes back in with a topé atomico. He turns over and makes the cover.

Gonsalves kicks out.
Geoff Penzer: Great counter there from the challenger!
Sparrow quickly grabs Gonsalves' leg and drags him away from the ropes before placing him in a Figure Four Leg Lock.
Geoff Penzer: Look at this! Now it’s Sparrow that’s putting Gonsalves in a submission! The West Indian Whirlwind is sending a message early to Owen!
Gonsalves seethes as Sparrow falls back on the mat. Sparrow sits back up before falling back again. Gonsalves sits up and tries to pull Sparrow off of him, but it's to no avail. Gonsalves then tries to reverse the move by turning over to his right, but Sparrow is able to block by turning to his left. Gonsalves then tries to reverse the hold by turning over to his left. Again, Sparrow blocks by turning to his right. He then repeatedly falls back, which causes Gonsalves to yell out in pain.
Geoff Penzer: I know Owen didn’t expect for Sparrow to take it to the mat, but here we are. Sparrow’s out here with a point to prove!
As soon as Gonsalves falls back on the mat, the ref makes the count.

Gonsalves sits back up.
Geoff Penzer: Owen’s got to be careful.
Gonsalves reaches over and tries to grab Sparrow, but Sparrow leans back just out of arm's reach. The champion is asked again if he wants to give up. Gonsalves refuses. He then starts to grunt as he scoots himself backwards on the mat. Gonsalves continues to push himself backwards before leaning back, reaching up and grabbing the bottom rope with both hands.
Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!
Sparrow breaks the hold before rolling away from Gonsalves. The champion massages his leg before using the ropes to pull himself back up. Gonsalves tries to shake out the pain in his leg before circling the ring. Both champion and challenger size each other up before pushing forward. A collar-and-elbow ensues. Both grapplers jockey for position until Gonsalves gains the advantage with a side headlock. Sparrow then takes Gonsalves and moves him into the near ropes before pushing him off into the far ropes. Gonsalves returns off the rebound and tries for a running shoulderblock, but Sparrow braces for impact and remains standing. The West Indian Whirlwind points to another set of ropes. Gonsalves obliges with a nod before taking off into the ropes. The U.S. Champion picks up speed as he comes back and tries to run Sparrow over with another running shoulderblock attempt. Once again, Sparrow braces for impact and remains standing. After Sparrow points to another set of ropes, Gonsalves motions to take off, then stops, quickly turns around and catches Sparrow with a shoot kick to the chest that doubles him over. Gonsalves knocks him upright with a hard European Uppercut before placing Sparrow in a side headlock.
Gonsalves cinches down on the hold. Sparrow is asked if he wants to give up. The challenger refuses before grabbing onto Gonsalves' arms. The arms of both the champion and challenger shake as Sparrow tries to power out and reverse into a top wristlock. He's nearly got Gonsalves' arms all the way up. Gonsalves lets out a grunt as he overpowers Sparrow and reapplies the side headlock. Seconds later, Gonsalves brings him down with the mat with a side headlock takeover. Sparrow is quick to reverse into a grounded headscissors. After Gonsalves escapes with a kip up, Sparrow scrambles back to a vertical base before finding himself back on the mat after another side headlock takeover. Sparrow reverses into another grounded headscissors before Gonsalves escapes with another kip up. After Sparrow scrambles back to a vertical base, Gonsalves brings him back down with an arm drag. Two more arm drags follow before Gonsalves applies an underhook on the arm. Sparrow battles back to a vertical base. He then takes Gonsalves and moves him into the near ropes before pushing him off into the far ropes. Gonsalves returns off the rebound and finally knocks Sparrow down with a running shoulderblock. The West Indian Whirlwind doesn't remain down for long as he returns to his feet with a kip up. Sparrow and Gonsalves stare each other down until Gonsalves turns and takes off into another set of ropes. Gonsalves returns and comes to stop when Sparrow turns and takes off into another set of ropes. Sparrow returns off the rebound and comes to a stop when Gonsalves turns and takes off into another set of ropes. Gonsalves returns off the rebound before Sparrow leapfrogs over him. Gonsalves continues to run the ropes. The champion returns off the rebound before Sparrow executes a backflip over him. Gonsalves continues to run the ropes. When Gonsalves returns, Sparrow brings him down with an arm drag of his own. Two more arm drags follow before Sparrow applies an underhook to the arm. The challenger is met with applause.
Geoff Penzer: I don’t want to say that Owen Gonsalves is getting outwrestled here, ladies and gentlemen. But Sparrow is more than holding his own in there against Wristlock Sinatra.
Gonsalves turns down the chance to quit before battling back to a vertical base. He then takes control of Sparrow's arm and wrenches it. Gonsalves delivers another arm wrench before Sparrow quickly reaches over and reverses into an arm wrench of his own. Gonsalves then rolls forward, backrolls to a vertical base, flips over with a headstand and reverses into another arm wrench. Sparrow then rolls forward, leans back, kips up and reverses into another arm wrench. Gonsalves heads over towards the side of the rope, grabs the top rope with his free hand and performs a backflip before reversing into another arm wrench of his own. Sparrow then rolls forward, turns over onto his knees, flips over with a headstand, spins in place and reverses into a hammerlock. Gonsalves remains in the hold until he spins out and reverses into a hammerlock of his own. Sparrow is quick to return the favor by spinning out and reversing into a hammerlock of his own. Gonsalves then reaches back with his free arm and brings Sparrow down with a jumping snapmare. NO! Sparrow lands on his feet before taking off into the ropes. The challenger returns off the rebound before Gonsalves tries for a back body drop. Sparrow slips out from behind and counters with another hammerlock. Gonsalves reaches back with his free arm, grabs Sparrow and flips over him before landing behind him! The crowd cheers when he quickly follows up with a bridging German Suplex!

Sparrow kicks out.
Geoff Penzer: Great counter there by the champion. But props to Sparrow for once again hanging in there hold for hold.
Gonsalves takes Sparrow and delivers an irish whip. Instead of coming back, Sparrow hooks his arms around the top rope. Gonsalves runs over to attack until Sparrow flips over the top rope, lands on the apron and knocks him back with a rope-assisted gamengiri! The cheers continue as Sparrow is quick to follow up with a springboard dropkick, sending Gonsalves stumbling back until he falls to the mat, rolls out of the ring and drops to the floor.
Geoff Penzer: Sparrow’s got Owen down on the outside! Is he about to take it to the air?
Gonsalves starts to pick himself up on the outside. When he turns to the ring, he does a double take before Sparrow knocks him down with Air Sparrow (Fosbury Flop)!
Geoff Penzer: Sparrow just took flight!
The cheers continue as Sparrow takes Gonsalves and rolls him back inside. He then leaps up to the apron in one feel swoop before springboarding to the top turnbuckle. Sparrow remains in the crouched position while he waits for Gonsalves to get in place. Gonsalves returns to his feet, turns around and gets dropped with a diving sidekick! Instead of going for the cover, Sparrow steps back out to the apron.
Geoff Penzer: Sparrow isn’t going for the pin. He wants to go back to the top.
Sparrow comes back in and crushes Gonsalves with a springboard senton! He turns over and makes the cover.

Gonsalves gets the shoulder up.
Sparrow takes Gonsalves and throws him down with a scoop slam before heading back out to the apron.
Dallins is motioning for him to head back in, but Sparrow is set on seeing this through. Sparrow heads to the top, leaps off with a springboard guillotine leg drop and misses when Gonsalves rolls out of the way! Dallins just shakes her head.
Geoff Penzer: Sparrow with a hard landing. He kept pushing his luck with the high risk and unfortunately, he just got burned. Not only that, but that missed leg drop is going to slow him down.
Gonsalves quickly takes advantage by turning Sparrow over into the prone position and placing him in another Stretch Muffler! This time, Gonsalves applies a seated version of the hold!
Geoff Penzer: This is not where Sparrow wants to be right now.
Sparrow yells out in pain while Gonsalves continues to pull down on the thigh and shin. The ref asks him if he wants to give up. Sparrow can be seen wagging his finger at the official. So Gonsalves applies even more pressure of the hold. He tries to get Sparrow to give up. But Sparrow, to his credit, won't give in to the pain. So Gonsalves starts to deliver heel kicks to the back.
Geoff Penzer: Sparrow’s in a bad spot here. He’s got to find a way out of this.
Gonsalves continues to hit Sparrow with the heel kicks before applying as much pressure as he can. Sparrow can be seen biting his fist. He tries to fight through the pain. He tries to resist. But the pain ultimately becomes too much! He starts tapping out on the mat! NO! Sparrow motions to tap out, but he stops himself at the last second. He then shakes his head from side to side. The crowd starts to rally behind the challenger as he tries to drag his way to the ropes.
“SPARROW!”
“SPARROW!”
“SPARROW!”
“SPARROW!”
Gonsalves hangs on while Sparrow continues to slowly claw his way to the ropes. The U.S. Champ has seen enough, so he quickly lets go of the hold, grabs Sparrow by the ankles and drags him over towards the center of the ring. After hooking Sparrow's legs around his, Gonsalves reaches down, hits Sparrow with open slaps to both sides, takes control of his wrists and rocks back and forth before finally pulling Sparrow up into a Surfboard Stretch.
Geoff Penzer: Owen saw Sparrow getting closer and closer to the ropes, so he pulled him back towards the center of the ring before placing him in another submission!
Sparrow yells out in pain while he's suspended in the air. The ref asks him if he wants to give up. Sparrow refuses. So Gonsalves lowers Sparrow back down to his knees before applying a Surfboard Chinlock. Gonsalves pulls back on the hold again. Sparrow reaches up and tries to pull Gonsalves' hands from off of him, but it's to no avail. When the challenger turns down another chance to quit, Gonsalves transitions into a Surfboard Dragon Sleeper.
Geoff Penzer: Sparrow’s really getting stretched now!
Sparrow howls out in pain. Gonsalves can be seen fighting like hell for the submission. He's convinced that this will finally put Sparrow away. But it doesn't. Sparrow turns down yet another chance to quit. Frustrated, Gonsalves lets go of the hold. Sparrow’s fight and determination is met with applause from the crowd.
Geoff Penzer: This capacity crowd is showing Sparrow a lot of respect after surviving all those submissions from the United States champ. Sparrow refused to give in, which has clearly frustrated Gonsalves. But at some point, you figure that Sparrow would eventually either tap out or pass out. So that might end up being a rare mistake on the part of the champion to ultimate let go of the submissions and abandon that gameplan.
Gonsalves takes Sparrow, moves him into the corner and nails him with a European Uppercut. Another European Uppercut rocks the champion. Gonsalves sizes him up before snapping his head back with a third European Uppercut. This one drops Sparrow down to a seated position in the corner. He tries to shake out the cobwebs, but Gonsalves gives him no time to recover as he starts to nail him with repeated shoot kicks to the chest. Gonsalves then drops down to a knee before laying into him with multiple forearm strikes to the jaw.
Geoff Penzer: Sparrow is getting rocked with those hard strikes.
Gonsalves grabs Sparrow by the hair before pulling him back to his feet. He goes for an irish whip, but Sparrow blocks by grabbing onto the top rope with his free hand. Gonsalves crouches down as he attempts another irish whip. Once again, Sparrow blocks it. Gonsalves then lets go of Sparrow before nailing him with yet another shoot kick to the chest. Gonsalves goes for another irish whip, only for Sparrow to reverse. Sparrow then runs across the ring, hops on top of Gonsalves and sends him flying out of the corner with a monkey flip. Gonsalves gets back to his feet. The moment he turns around, Sparrow sends him flying backwards into the corner with a front dropkick. Gonsalves bounces off the turnbuckles and tumbles across the mat. He gets up to a knee as Sparrow hits the ropes. Sparrow returns off the rebound before knocking him down with Love TKO (Shining Axe Kick). NO! Gonsalves slips his head out of the way and reverses into a Bow & Arrow Hold. The reversal is met with applause from the crowd.
Geoff Penzer: Gonsalves slipped out of the way before catching Sparrow in another submission.
Sparrow yells out while Gonsalves bends his back across his knees. The ref asks Sparrow if he wants to give up. Sparrow refuses. Sparrow continues to fight through the pain. He slowly reaches up, pulls Gonsalves' arm from around his neck and rolls off his knees into a lateral press.

So Gonsalves pulls Sparrow over onto his back and keeps the arm bent at 90 degrees before delivering a jumping stomp to the elbow! Sparrow screams out in pain before Gonsalves turns him back over into the Golden Arm '55!
Geoff Penzer: Owen’s going after the arm again!
Gonsalves fights for the submission as he pulls back on the arm. Sparrow continues to howl out in agony. The ref asks him if he wants to give up. Sparrow can be seen raises his free arm. He goes to slam it down, then stops. He motions to tap out again, then stops himself. He reaches out for the official... and wags his finger. Frustrated, Gonsalves lets go of the arm before delivering a jumping seated senton across the back. Gonsalves pulls Sparrow up to all fours before knocking him down with a second jumping seated senton across the back. The champion goes for a third, but Sparrow slips out of the way, pulls Gonsalves down into the prone position and applies a submission of his own. The crowd cheers when they see Sparrow lock in a Chickenwing Camel Clutch!
Geoff Penzer: Bass Reeves Special!
Sparrow pulls back on the hold, but due to the damage that Gonsalves inflicted on one of his arms, he's unable to keep the double chickenwing held for long. Once Gonsalves breaks one of his arms free, Sparrow transitions into La Magistral.

Geoff Penzer: Sparrow locks Owen in another submission! Not only if the challenger withstanding what Owen is throwing out, but he’s giving it right back to him! Incredible!
The ref gets down and asks Gonsalves if he wants to give up. Gonsalves refuses, so Sparrow applies more pressure to the hold. Gonsalves balls his hands into fists as he tries to fight through the pain. He then yells out before covering his his head with his arms.
Geoff Penzer: The pain is getting to the champion! It’s starting to become too much!
The official continues to check in with Gonsalves and asks him if he wants to give up. The champ refuses. He reaches out for the ropes, but he's not quite near them. Gonsalves tries to claw his way towards the ropes, but Sparrow is able to keep him held in place. He then transitions form the Inverted Sharpshooter into an STF!
Geoff Penzer: Smooth transition there from the challenger!
Gonsalves yells out while Sparrow pulls back on the hold. The U.S. champ is asked again if he wants to give up. Gonsalves refuses, so Sparrow starts to yank tug back on the hold over and over.
Geoff Penzer: What an accomplishment this would be for Sparrow not just to defeat Owen for the championship, but to get him to tap, as well!
Gonsalves continues to yell out. After turning down another chance to give up, Gonsalves reaches forward before slowly dragging himself across the mat. Gonsalves slowly drags himself forward across the mat again. The crowd starts to rally behind Wristlock Sinatra as he scratches and claws his way towards the side of the ring.
“OWEN!”

Gonsalves slowly reaches out... and grabs the bottom rope. The champ is met with cheers and applause while Sparrow releases the hold. Dallins is quick to slap the apron and admonish Sparrow for not keeping the hold on for nearly the full five count.
Sparrow heads over, picks up Gonsalves and brings him into the corner. After sitting Gonsalves down backwards on the top turnbuckle, Sparrow starts to climb the turnbuckles. He then takes control of Gonsalves' back before throwing him down with a Izuna Drop (Spider Suplex)! NO! Gonsalves is able to somehow land on his feet! The ref goes to make the count, but he stops again when Gonsalves rolls over, pulls Sparrow back up and hits a bridging German Suplex.

The crowd applauds when Sparrow gets the shoulder up.
Geoff Penzer: I don’t know how Sparrow’s doing it. Owen just threw him down with suplex after suplex after suplex, but he still got the shoulder up in time! This is some incredible fight we’re seeing out of the challenger!
Gonsalves doesn't let go of the rear waistlock. He rolls over, pulls Sparrow back up and quickly dumps him with Paroxysm (Snap Dragon Suplex)! A dazed Sparrow rolls backwards onto his knees before falling onto his back. Gonsalves makes the cover.

The crowd cheers when Sparrow gets the shoulder up.
Geoff Penzer: Sparrow avoids the three count again! Owen must be wondering what he has to do to put Sparrow away here!
Gonsalves moves the action into the corner. He sits Sparrow up on the top turnbuckle before spiking him with Australia Street (Top Turnbuckle Hung Cutter)! Sparrow lands awkwardly on his head before crumbling onto his back. Gonsalves makes the cover.

THRE-NO!
Sparrow gets the shoulder up.
A commotion can be heard at ringside. The camera cuts to HENNY jumping the guardrail.
Geoff Penzer: HEY HEY HEY!
Back in the ring, Gonsalves takes Sparrow and pulls him into a standing headscissors.
Geoff Penzer: Owen’s got Sparrow set up for the Angel Duster, but he’s completely unaware of HENNY’s presence at ringside!
Gonsalves hooks both of Sparrow's arms. He's about to lift him up and plant him with the Angel Duster (Double Underhook Piledriver)! But he quickly lets go of Sparrow's arms and pushes him down to the mat when he hears something behind him. The champ turns around and sees HENNY sliding into the ring with the U.S. Championship in hand.
Geoff Penzer: HENNY just got caught! He was going to bash Owen with the title, but Owen turned around in time!
Gonsalves readies himself for an attack as HENNY grips the championship with both hands.
The referee needs to get him out of here. HENNY has no place being anywhere near this match!
The ref admonishes HENNY and demands that he gets out of the ring, but he pays the official no mind. HENNY and Gonsalves start to slowly circle the ring. Neither man takes their eyes off the other. The crowd buzzes with anticipation. Who is going to make the first move. It's HENNY who strikes first! He motions to rush Gonsalves, then quickly stops, turns on a dime and levels Sparrow with a belt shot to the face! The ref immediately calls for the bell.
Geoff Penzer: NO! NO! NO! HENNY just smashed Sparrow right in the face with the U.S. Title! What in the hell is going on here!?
Gonsalves' eyes widen with shock. He's left with his mouth agape as he sees Sparrow splayed out motionless on the mat.
“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
Gonsalves slowly looks over to the approaching HENNY. HENNY takes the championship and drapes it over Gonsalves' shoulder behind exiting the ring.
Geoff Penzer: What is the meaning of this!? What in the hell is going on here!? I thought… wait just a minute. I think I’ve figured it out now!
HENNY looks at Gonsalves as he moves his hands back and forth around his waist.
Geoff Penzer: I think I get it now. HENNY wants to be the one to take the title off Owen, no one else! Let’s send it over to Melanie Sierra for the official decision.
Melanie Sierra: The winner as a result of a Disqualification… SPARROW!
The crowd cheers the announcement of Sparrow as the wind. But the West Indian Whirlwind remains knocked out on the mat.
Melanie Sierra: However, the United States Championship CANNOT changes hands as a result of a disqualification. Therefor, STILL FGA United States Champion... OWEN GONSALVES!
“Blockbuster Night Part I” blasts over the PA as Gonsalves retains the championship. He kneels down next to Sparrow. Both Gonsalves and the official continue to tend to Sparrow.
Geoff Penzer: Owen Gonsalves retains his championship, but on a technicality. This is not the way Owen wanted to retain his championship. No one wanted to see this great contest end this way. Who knows if Sparrow would have kicked out of the Angel Duster. Maybe that would have finished him off. Maybe he would’ve survived, fought back and won. We’ll never know now thanks to HENNY. I would say that HENNY has some explaining to do, but he just made his intentions loud and clear. Unfortunately for HENNY, he’s put yet another target on his back because I can guarantee you that Sparrow won’t take thing lying down…
