Peterson Events Center Pittsburgh PA Kris Cruise: Hello, everyone and welcome to another edition of Vertigo! I’m Kris Cruise! Joining me as always is my colleague, Stephy Auger and Stephy, we’re just coming off a pair of two huge events. The first of which was Grapple Kingdom 4, FGA’s first pay-per-view for 2022! Stephy Auger: That’s right. Grapple Kingdom 4 was one for the record books. We saw the likes of Logan Alexander and Silk & Cyanide retaining their championships. Sparrow retained the 15 Championship in his fourth defense. He then vacated that title to cash in for a guaranteed shot at the U.S. Champion. Speaking of that title, Gareth Prichard Jr pulled off the upset and outwrestled Owen Gonsalves to win the championship. We saw an hellacious Chivalry is Dead match to cap off the rivalry between Seth Iser and Izzy Anders. Then, in the main event, Lowri Moss somehow retained the Undisputed Championship against Cordelia Stevenson in a Ladder Match! Kris Cruise: Then right after Grapple Kingdom 4 came the Royal Battle at Royal Albert Hall. On Frontier+, we saw the debuting Julia Braddock defeat Mark Storm. Owen Gonsalves then won back the U.S. Championship from Gareth. Ace Voltage recorded another successful title defense when he retained his Pride Championship against Julian Tijerina. In a match for the ages, Lowri Moss defeated Emery Layton in a classic bout. Then, in the main event, it was Izzy Anders that was victorious in The Royal Battle. She now gets her shot against Lowri Moss at Spring Breakage! Stephy Auger: You haven’t heard? Kris Cruise: Haven’t heard what? Stephy Auger: You didn’t hear the breaking news just before we got on the air? Kris Cruise: What news? Stephy Auger: Izzy Anders isn’t going to wait to Spring Breakage to get her championship match. She wants her title shot tonight! Kris Cruise: What!? Stephy Auger: Tonight. Kris Cruise: We’re getting Izzy and Lowri tonight!? For the Undisputed Title!? Stephy Auger: That’s what I said. Kris Cruise: Ladies and gentlemen, we already had a huge lineup in store for you tonight. We were already going to see the crowning of a new 15 champion with this one night tournament. But on top of that, we’re getting Lowri against Izzy for the Undisputed Championship! Stephy Auger: That’s right! Word on the street is that if Izzy doesn’t win, that’s it? She’s done. She’s calling it a career. No pressure. Kris Cruise: The stakes don’t get any higher than that. We know the deep admiration that those two have for each other. But man, not only is the Undisputed Championship on the line, but Izzy is putting her career on the line, too. Unbelievable! With this much action, I’d say let’s send it over to the ring. But before we get to tonight’s opening contest, let’s hear some pre-recorded thoughts from one of the participants…

HIGHLIGHT REEL
Standing in front of a Vertigo logo'd backdrop is Your Hero and Mine, Mark Storm. He's already in his ring gear, watching the highlights from the Royal Battle at the Royal Albert Hall, with his manager, Gregory Murphy, also lurking behind him, wearing one of his suits and ties. Mark Storm: I've gotta give it to her. He claps his hands, nodding his head in approval. Mark Storm: The Kensington Knockout, in front of her hometown fans, screaming her name - managed to beat Your Hero and Mine, fair and square at the Royal Battle. Once again he claps his hands, almost mockingly at this point. Mark Storm: Congratulations Julia, you got that debut win here in Frontier Grappling Arts. He stops with the clapping, his facial expression changing to one of wonder and contemplation. Mark Storm: And tonight our paths will cross again in the FGA Fifteen Championship first round bout, except this time you don't have no hometown advantage. I'm sure the fans will get behind you either way, after that valiant effort you put in to beat me, I wouldn't blame them. Nevertheless, that doesn't stop the fact that you're now in my domain, on my soil - in a match stipulation suited to the former FGA Fifteen Champion... The FGA Fifteen Championship, it's been in dire need of a revamp, a change, a shake-up. This promotion needs someone who's going to put some prestige and honor into that title... I've been there before, accomplished the title and had my fair share of matches. But I'm ready to step up again, take that FGA Fifteen Championship and make it the most relevant title in this promotion. You're the one who's standing in my way Julia, you alongside the other competitors involved in this tourney - but you, you're the first hurdle. He looks at the camera, his eyes stern and serious. Mark Storm: I've learnt from our last encounter, studied the tapes and there's no doubt, I won't be making the same mistake as I did at Royal Battle. Fifteen minutes to show the world what we can do again, set the world alight and steal the show, deciding who will progress to the next round... but I'm not going to need fifteen minutes against you, Julia. I'll get the job done, doing whatever's necessary, this time, when I shoot - I won't miss. A smirk plants on his face as emerging onto the scene are FGA's newest signings, Strike 2 Kill's, Liam Richardson and Miles Watson. The three men fist bump as Gregory Murphy stands in the background, clasping his hands together in excitement. Gregory Murphy: There's a new era upon us, ladies and gentlemen. Murphy steps into the forefront of the frame, his arms around the shoulders of his clients. Gregory Murphy: Tonight, the Heroes for Hire have arrived here in Frontier Grappling Arts, and the cleansing of this promotion can begin. Your Hero and Mine becomes a two times FGA Fifteen Champion here tonight and Strike 2 Kill make their long awaited debuts against Saturnian Connection. Our journey of making the FGA a better place begins right here, tonight! The scene fades with the Heroes for Hire all posing for one final shot.

We open backstage near the ready area of the Peterson Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A few moments later and “The Kensington Knockout” Julia Braddock steps into the camera view from stage right. The beautiful blonde is dressed in her wrestling gear consisting of black wrestling tights, a pink thigh length skirt, matching pink top, and pink kick boots. A confident smirk is etched across her face; and why shouldn’t she be confident? She is coming off of her debut victory against Mark Storm at Royal Battle and then an impressive showing in the royal battle itself later on that evening. Tonight Braddock hopes to be even more impressive with a victory in this one night tournament to bring home her first taste of FGA Championship gold.
Julia Braddock: I have always loved a good tournament. Tournaments run in my family, the thrill of competing in and surviving tournaments is in my blood. I grew up going to watch my dad compete in amateur wrestling tournaments. His dream was to one day represent Great Britain in the Olympics as a freestyle wrestler. Unfortunately a career ending back injury put the kibosh to that dream. But then he began training me and my sister and I got to participate in tournaments of my own. My sister was there to support me, and I was there to support her during her tournaments. In fact, my sister, Glory Braddock, made her professional debut as part of a one night single elimination tournament. She won that tournament, by the way. And I would love to repeat that kind of feat here tonight at Vertigo 95 to claim the FGA 15 Championship.
Braddock looks around from side to side, taking in her surroundings.
Julia Braddock: And it is only appropriate that a championship tournament of this magnitude be held right here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the home of six time Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers! They definitely know how to survive in a tournament and win a tournament!
The fans pop loudly in the background. Braddock nods her head in appreciation.
Julia Braddock: But that’s the thing, isn’t it? NFL Playoffs to win the Super Bowl, that kind of tournament lasts over several weeks. This tournament, to win a singles wrestling championship here in FGA, I will have to compete not once, not twice, but three times. I have to defeat three opponents in one night in order to walk away with championship gold around my waist. But if there is one thing I know that I do better than anyone else in professional wrestling, it is survive. I know how to endure and survive better than anyone else because most of my career has been about survival. I have been forced to learn how to be durable and to endure. So when I say that I am going to win, when I say that I am going to march through this field and walk away with gold, know that it isn’t out of arrogance or conceit that I say it, I say it because I truly believe it. I say it because I know deep down in my heart that I can get the job done!
The Kensington Knockout nods her head.
Julia Braddock: Step one is a familiar foe, isn’t he?
She waves at the camera.
Julia Braddock: Hi there, Mark! I have to ask, how is that head after Royal Battle? I spiked it with Cult of Personality. I stomped it with Ex-Communication. Then for good measure, a little Chastisement. Hell, it is a wonder that you don’t have a bloody concussion after our match. Yet here you are, you pulled yourself back up and by luck of the draw you get me in the first round of this tournament. You get your chance at revenge.
Braddock shakes her head.
Julia Braddock: This IS luck but it isn’t good luck, it is very BAD luck. I beat you at Royal Battle, my debut match, and that was important. But this has championship implications, and that makes this match even more important. If I wouldn’t let you beat me then, what do you think I will do now when a title is potentially up for grabs for the both of us? I will tell you exactly what to expect, Marky. Expect me to fight even harder than before. Expect even more aggression than before. Expect me to do whatever it takes to get the job done and advance here tonight. And you can expect the same result as before, the same result from Royal Battle; you are going to get spiked on top of your head. That is the Vow of Chastity.

Kris Cruise: You think those two are ready? Stephy Auger: No doubt about it. Kris Cruise: Let’s send it over to the ring. FGA 15 CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT (FIRST ROUND) Julia Braddock vs. Mark Storm Short Change Hero by The Heavy begins to play through the speakers and the lights in the arena simultaneously dim down. Smoke begins to rise from the top of the stage and appearing on the screen above are the following words; A massive pop ensues as emerging from the back is Your Hero and Mine, Mark Storm; who keeps himself composed as he stands at the top of the entrance ramp. He can't help but allow his sadistic signature smirk to appear upon his lips as he closes his eyes and spreads his arms out wide, soaking in the energy that the audience are giving him as they applaud and cheer. J.A. Aldridge: The following contest, scheduled for one fall with a 15 minute time limit, is a first round match in the 15 Championship Tournament! Introducing first, hailing from New York, Brooklyn.. weighing in at 225 pounds - Your Hero, and Mine.. MARRKKKK STORMMMMMM He begins his walk down the entrance ramp, swaggering his way down. This ain't no place for no hero. This ain't no place for no better man. This ain't no place for no hero To call "home." At this point, Storm is by the edge of the ring; allowing a smile to embed on his face before he jumps onto the apron and holds onto the ropes, using them to help himself up onto the turnbuckle. He's grinning from ear to ear, soaking in the rest of the cheers coming from the audience, shaking his head sideways as he lowers it, before jumping into the ring. He heads over to his designated corner and hoisting himself up onto the second ropes, a smirk upon his lips as he holds his arms up; his theme song slowly diminishing. The lights dim as several spotlights shine down upon the entrance ramp. The opening chords of "Gets Me Through" by Ozzy Osbourne begins to play over the PA system. The lights all come on. The tron flashes to life and the words "Her Royal Majesty" appears on the tron only to be set ablaze and burn away in a fire, almost as if Rome itself were burning. The words "The Queen is dead" appear in its place. Then Julia Braddock steps out onto the stage decked out in her wrestling attire, looking ready to go. J.A. Aldridge: His opponent, hailing from London, England! Weighing in at 110 pounds! She is "The Kensington Knockout" JULIA BRADDOCK! Julia goes to one side of the stage and pumps her fists in the air to encourage them to cheer loudly which gets a positive reaction. She goes to the other side of the stage and does the same, also getting a positive reaction. Julia then turns towards the ramp and charges towards the ring. Julia hops up onto the ring apron and then jumps over the top rope and into the ring. Braddock goes to each corner and hops up to the top, posing for the fans. Julia steps to the center of the ring and waits on the match to begin. Julia goes to one side of the stage and pumps her fists in the air to encourage them to cheer loudly which gets a positive reaction. Julia hops up onto the ring apron and then jumps over the top rope and into the ring. Braddock goes to each corner and hops up to the top, posing for the fans. Julia steps to the center of the ring and waits on the match to begin. Kris Cruise: Mark Storm’s looking to gain some measure of revenge here after Julia Braddock got her first FGA win has his expense. Stephy Auger: He says he’s been watching the tape of that match over and over. Let’s see what Your So-Called Hero and Mine has picked up. The bell sounds as Storm and Braddock immediately lock up. They jockey for position until Storm muscles Braddock across the ring and against the ropes. The ref is quick to give them a five count to break it up. Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! Both grapplers make a clean break. Storm then quickly grabs Braddock, delivers an irish whip and heads across the ring. When Braddock returns, Storm throws her down with a hip toss, cartwheels over, claps his hands and follows up with a dropkick to the face. NO! Braddock slips out of the way. Storm returns to his feet before Braddock trips him down and makes the cover. ONE! . . Storm kicks out. Braddock gets back to her feet before Storm trips her down and makes the cover. ONE! . . Braddock kicks out. Storm heads back over before Braddock delivers a side headlock takeover. Storm reverses into a headscissors before Braddock escapes with a kip up. Braddock heads back over before Storm returns the favor with a side headlock takeover. Braddock reverses into a headscissors before Storm escapes with a kip up. Both grapplers throw out a dropkick. They return to their feet and throw out a dropkick again. Storm and Braddock return to their feet by flipping over with a headstand. They then turn to each other with raised fists before stepping back. Both grapplers are met with cheers and applause from the crowd. Kris Cruise: How about that sequence. Stephy Auger: They matched each other hold for hold there. Storm wasn’t the only one studying tape. Both grapplers size each other up before locking up. NO! Storm hits a drop step, go behind before taking control of Braddock's back. He goes for a German Suplex, but Braddock kicks her legs on the way up, forcing Storm to bring her back down. Storm tries to bring her down with another German, but she blocks the move by hooking one of her legs behind his. After a back elbow to the face breaks the rear waistlock, Braddock turns around, brings Storm to the mat with a standing double leg and tries for a Sharpshooter. Before Storm can be turned over, he uses his leg strength to shove Braddock down to the mat. Both grapplers scramble back to their feet. Braddock heads over to attack, but Storm counters with a flapjack before transitioning into an Ankle Lock. Kris Cruise: Storm’s got the ankle! Stephy Auger: Go ahead, Storm. Snap it! SNAP IT! The ref gets down and asks Braddock if she wants to give up. When Braddock refuses, Storm gets to his feet and starts cranking away on the ankle. Kris Cruise: Braddock better get to the ropes or find a way to escape this fast. The longer she stays trapped in that ankle lock, the more her movement will become affected. Stephy Auger: This is great news for Storm either way. If he wins here, he advances. If Braddock escapes to the ropes, she’ll definitely be operating at a slower speed in there. The crowd is split 50/50 with "LET'S GO, BRADDOCK/LET'S GO, STORM" chants. Braddock continues to try and fight through the pain. She's asked again if she wants to give up. Braddock refuses. She then stands up on her knees before rolling forward, breaking the hold and sending Storm crashing into the corner. Braddock rushes into the corner before nailing Storm with a spinning heel kick! Storm crumbles out of the corner while Braddock steps out to the apron. The crowd rallies behind Braddock while she scales the turnbuckles. She then gets to the top and waits for Storm to get in position. Once Storm gets back to his feet and turns around, Braddock rises up from the crouched position, flips off and brings him down with a Dragonrana! NO! Storm blocks it, leaving Braddock hanging upside down. He then slowly lifts Braddock back up onto his shoulders, hoists her up and throws her down with authority with an elevated powerbomb! He drops down for the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! Braddock gets the shoulder up. Kris Cruise: Nice reversal there by Storm. Stephy Auger: Yeah, but it should have been three. Storm picks up Braddock, heads into the corner and slams her face-first into the top turnbuckle. After placing Braddock in a Tree of Woe, Storm delivers multiple shoot kicks to the chest. He then makes his way across the ring. Storm points over to Braddock before running across the ring. The crowd cheers when he leaps into the air and nails Braddock with a hesitation dropkick that knocks her down from the corner. Storm drags her away from the ropes and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! Braddock gets the shoulder up. Storm picks up Braddock and whips her into the corner. He runs in to attack, but Braddock knocks him back with a back elbow to the face. Storm runs back in and gets turned around with a boot to the face. Storm staggers away from the corner, only to quick turn back around and launch himself at Braddock. Braddock moves out of the way, causing Storm to crash in the corner. When Storm turns around, Braddock rushes in to attack. Storm dumps her over the top rope, but she lands safely on her feet before sending him staggering forward with a rope-assisted gamengiri. Braddock then makes her way to the top turnbuckle before knocking Storm down from behind with a missile dropkick! The cheers continue as Braddock heads towards the side of the ring before flipping back and hitting a Lionsault across Storm's back. Braddock turns Storm over and drags him into position before returning to the apron. She scales to the top, flips off and lands a Shooting Star Press across him! Braddock hooks the leg. ONE! . . TWO! . . TH-NO! Storm gets the shoulder up. Kris Cruise: She almost had him! Stephy Auger: I think if she linked one more move together, she would have got him. Braddock sets up shop on the far side of the ring. As soon as Storm gets up, Braddock runs across the ring and motions for a spear. Storm counters with a knee to the face at the last second. Braddock remains dazed while Storm hits the ropes. When Storm returns, Braddock knocks him down with another spinning heel kick. She then pulls Storm back up before whipping him into the ropes. Storm returns off the ropes and comes to a stop as Braddock runs past him towards the same set of ropes. As soon as Storm turns around, he gets cut down with a spear! Storm curls up on the mat as he guards his midsection. He slowly turns over on all fours before Braddock drives him face-first into the mat with the Excommunication (Curb Stomp)! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . TH-NO! The crowd cheers when Storm gets the shoulder up. Kris Cruise: Braddock was close! Braddock pulls Storm back to his feet and hooks both arms before planting him with the Cult of Personality (Future Shock DDT)! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THR-NO! The crowd cheers when Storm gets the shoulder up. Kris Cruise: She nearly got him again! Stephy Auger: I’ll give Braddock this. She isn’t wasting time whining over two counts. She keeps going right after it. That’s a vet move right there. Braddock heads into the corner. She positions herself up on the middle ropes and starts to wave Storm up. Once Storm finally gets back to his feet, Braddock flips off and brings him down with the Kensington Knockout (Blockbuster)! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THRE-NO! The crowd cheers when Storm gets the shoulder up. Kris Cruise: What does Braddock have to do to pun Storm away!? Braddock immediately heads out to the apron and starts scaling the turnbuckles. Stephy Auger: She wants to end it right here, Cruise… Braddock reaches the top... ...flies off for a swan dive headbutt... ... and misses when Storm rolls out of the way! Kris Cruise: OH NO! Stephy Auger: HA! The pool was empty on that one! Storm heads over, peels Braddock off the mat by the back of the tights and delivers a bridging German Suplex! ONE! . . TWO! . . Braddock turns as he gets her shoulder up, but Storm maintains control of her back. Storm pulls Braddock back to her feet before throwing her down with an inverted Exploder Suplex. He then heads over, hoists her off the mat and brings her down with a deadlift gutwrench sitout powerbomb! ONE! . . TWO! . . THR-NO! The crowd applauds when Braddock gets the shoulder up. Storm slowly pulls Braddock back up before hitting the ropes. When she returns, Braddock drops down to a knee after getting caught with a bicycle knee strike. Storm hits the ropes again, returns and catches her across the side of the head with another bicycle knee. Stephy Auger: Knee to Kill! Storm pulls Braddock back up before hoisting her up on his shoulders. The crowd cheers as he brings Braddock down with Heroes End (One Winged Angel)! ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! Stephy Auger: That’ll do it! The crowd cheers as “Short Change Hero” hits the speakers. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this bout... MARK STORM! The cheers continue as Murphy raises Storm’s arm in victory. Kris Cruise: Mark Storm gets the W over Braddock tonight. That makes things 1-1 between these two and if I were a betting man, this probably won’t be the last time we see these two go at it. Stephy Auger: I highly doubt it. More importantly for Storm, he advances. Kris Cruise: That’s right. Storm has punched his ticket to the Semifinals, where he will take on the winner of Antoinette and Gwen Margolis! On the other side of the bracket, we’ve got Laura Perelli vs. Betsy Gallagher and TJ Techniques vs. Mark Bisley still to come! Also here tonight, Strike 2 Kill make their FGA in-ring debuts against the Saturnian Connection! Also making their debut tonight will be the rough and rugged Mara Jade Miller! We’ve seen them be impressive in their outings elsewhere. I’m interested to see how well they fair against the vet Patrick Jones. Then, of course, it’s our main event. You heard the bombshell at the top of the show. Lowri Moss will defend the Undisputed Championship tonight against Izzy Anders! We’ve got a great night of action in store. We’ll be right back after this short break! • COMMERCIAL BREAK •

EARLIER TODAY It’s night time outside on a street somewhere; exact location probably isn’t too important. The camera zooms in on a vaguely-sorta familiar dark haired woman leaning back against a brick wall. There’s a bloody crooked smiley face spray painted on the wall behind her; a good sign that this is a friendly person, surely. Piper Lennon: Hey everyone, it’s been a while, huh? She flashes a smile. Piper Lennon: Oh right, I’m Piper, I used to do wrestling stuff here. Theennnn I got pregnant, COVID happened and well … yeah, time kinda flew by. Well, I mean it didn’t fly by that fast. Piper bites her lip. Piper Lennon: Gave me a lot of time to think, reflect, grow up some. Look back and realize that I probably came off as pretty pretentious before. It was prob pretty obnoxious to do the whole I’m humble and the same as you all bit, while also treating this as like an art house project and having gone to High School at the Lebron James School for the Gifted & Bill James Dojo for White Karate. The former Legacy Champ slowly shrugs and contorts her face a bit. Piper Lennon: I mean no regrets or whatever, I’m not gonna wallow in anything. But you know, I did get to think about being a parent now, what I want to be going forward. The example I want to set, and you know, corny as it might sound, the impact I want to have. A beat passes. Piper Lennon: So I’m back, but I’m gonna try my best to be a good person in this half-nekkid violence circus, put all the good energy out there that I can, and you know … grow and change for the better, even if it’s just myself. So I promise you all, best as I can, that when I drop you on your heads it’ll be for a good reason … peace! Static

Returning from the commercial break, Spencer Burke is seen standing backstage at the Petersen Events Center, together with Lowri Moss. The FGA Undisputed Champion is currently dressed casually in a pair of jeans and a replica Wales football jersey, with her title draped over her shoulder and that near-perpetual smile of hers on her face.
Spencer Burke: Lowri, we found out at the start of the show that instead of waiting until Spring Breakage for her shot at the Undisputed Championship, Izzy Anders has decided that she wants to get it here tonight; I’m guessing that announcement must have caught you by surprise, just like it did everyone else.
Lowri responds to Spencer with a nod of her head.
Lowri Moss: Absolutely, it definitely caught me off guard. I turned up to tonight’s show, Spencer, expecting that I might talk to you, or to Amanda or Jessie, about what happened at Royal Battle, and that we would then look ahead to the title match between me and Izzy, but I certainly didn’t anticipate that match being brought forward to tonight.
She now shakes her head.
Lowri Moss: I suppose it’s a good job I always bring my gear with me, just in case– the card is always subject to change, after all.
Spencer Burke: I don’t want to keep you for too long, Lowri, seeing as you now only have a matter of hours to prepare for this match, not weeks, but I would still like to ask you another question or two, if I may.
Lowri gestures for Spencer to proceed.
Spencer Burke: The term “dream match” seems to have been used a lot in FGA as of late, including in relation to some of your own matches, like the match that you had last year with Fujiko Mine, more recently the match that you had with Emery Layton at Royal Battle, and so knowing the relationship that you have with Izzy, am I right to assume that for you this match also falls into that category?
The smile on Lowri’s face broadens slightly.
Lowri Moss: That’s probably an understatement, Spencer. If ever there was a match that for me is a dream match, more so than any other, this is it. It’s a match that I’ve wanted for about four years now, possibly longer, and… at times I’ve wondered whether or not it would ever happen. But now it is happening, and I just hope that it coming at such short notice isn’t going to affect the match negatively– I’m sure I’m not the only one who has been waiting for this match to happen, I’m sure there are plenty of fans who have wanted it as well, and I want it to live up to their expectations, as well as my own.
Spencer Burke: Well, had things gone differently back on Night One of All-Star Showdown X, we might have already had an Undisputed title match between you and Izzy, but with the roles of champion and challenger reversed. The two of you were also semi-finalists in the Wildcard Lottery tournament a couple of years ago, but until now the only singles matches that you’ve been opponents in have been battle royals, with you of course being the final two in last year’s Gold Rush Rumble, and so with that in mind, perhaps it’s appropriate that this match came about due to Izzy winning the Royal Battle.
Again Lowri responds with a nod of her head.
Lowri Moss: Yeah, the winner of the last two Gold Rush Rumbles versus the winner of the Royal Battle– you're right, Spencer, that does seem kind of appropriate, for the reason you mentioned. There’s one other time that Izzy and I were opponents though, a match that most other people have probably forgotten about, perhaps including Izzy, but which I certainly haven’t forgotten about: an eight man tag team match that took place on an episode of Vertigo nearly five years ago now, in which she and I were on opposing sides.
Lowri’s first main event in FGA.
Lowri Moss: At the time, it was Izzy who was the Undisputed Champion, whereas I was a contender for the Mid-Atlantic Legacy title, yet to win the first championship of my career. The then Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion, AMIRA, was also on the opposing team, but Izzy was the one who I was most looking forward to mixing it up with– she was in the position that I’m in now, as the person to beat in FGA, and I wanted to test myself against her, even if only briefly… although the only interaction that we ended up having was me being on the receiving end of a double underhook piledriver from Izzy, shortly before the finish of the match.
She can afford to smile about it now, particularly as she still ended up on the winning side in that match.
Lowri Moss: You talked, Spencer, about the relationship that I have with Izzy, wrestling mother and daughter, and I think that itself dates back almost five years, to not long after that eight man tag match, and my participation in that year’s Rookie X Cup. Izzy had been the first winner of the Rookie X Cup, two years earlier, and prior to the start of the tournament, she tweeted something about wanting to present the trophy to the winner, which I then replied to, telling her that if I won, I would be happy to have her present me with the trophy. It wasn’t to be though, as I lost in the semi-finals to the eventual winner.
Lowri lets out a sigh, recalling what is still one of the most disappointing losses of her career.
Lowri Moss: After that loss, and as I was feeling a bit sorry for myself, Izzy sent me a tweet to say that I had done exceptionally well, that I had repped FGA to the best of my abilities, and that I had nothing to be ashamed of. That meant an awful lot to me at the time, with where I was in my career, and it still means a lot to me even now, nearly five years later– although it is funny to think that Izzy prefaced her tweet by telling me that it would be the nicest thing that she would ever say to me; I’m glad that she has had plenty more nice things to say to me and about me since then.
That quickly brings a smile back to her face.
Lowri Moss: In fact, that more than anything is probably what makes her my “wrestling mother” - aside from Gareth, my parents and my trainers, I don’t think anyone has given me as much support or encouragement in my wrestling career as Izzy has. And once upon a time, I would’ve been happy just to be following in her footsteps, but now I’m striving to go beyond that, to forge my own legacy here in FGA, which I know is exactly what she wants me to do, and as circumstances– or perhaps fate– would have it, the next step is for me to defend the Undisputed Championship against Izzy.
She casts a glance towards the title that is resting on her shoulder, before returning her attention to Spencer.
Lowri Moss: Regardless of how we feel about one another, you can be sure that neither of us is going to hold anything back when we set foot in that ring together later tonight– I know that Izzy will do whatever she thinks is necessary in order to try to regain this title, as will I in order to retain it. I’ve been called the standard bearer, the benchmark, the very best in FGA right now, and come the end of the night, Spencer, everyone will still be calling me… the FGA Undisputed Champion.
With Lowri looking and sounding confident about her prospects, she then takes her leave to go and get ready for her upcoming title defense, and the camera cuts back to ringside, ready for the next match in the first round of the 15 Championship Tournament.

15 CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT (FIRST ROUND) Antoinette vs. Gwen Margolis The lights go down and the video screen goes black as the opening to Blondie’s “One Way or Another” starts playing throughout the arena. A spotlight roams the arena until it finally stops at the top of the steps, where Gwen Margolis strikes a pose with her hand raised to the sky and a huge smile on her face. One way or another, I’m gonna find ya I’m gonna getcha getcha getcha getcha One way or another I’m gonna win ya I’m gonna getcha getcha getcha getcha She takes off down the steps, high fiving fans as she makes her way down to the front row and vaults over the barricade. J.A. Aldridge: The following contest, scheduled for one fall with a 15 minute time limit, is a first round match in the 15 Championship tournament! Introducing first, hailing from Austin Texas by way of the open road, she is one half of the Illuminati PROJEKT, the time traveling punk rock warrior herself, GWEN MARGOLIS! Gwen rushes up the ring steps and throws her hands up into peace signs before ducking through the ropes, bouncing in her corner as she waits for the match to begin. Kris Cruise: Gwen Margolis finds herself breaking out into singles competition here tonight. This is a huge opportunity for the young wrestler. Stephy Auger: That’s right. It is a huge chance because the tag scene isn’t exactly giving her the desired results. Maybe by not having that deadweight uncle of hers dragging her down, she’ll actually fair better. Kris Cruise: That’s not nice, Stephy! Stephy Auger: The truth isn’t always nice. “Killin It” by Krewella hits the P.A system and the fans erupt in cheers. Pink and purple lights zoom around the arena as Antoinette Sands comes skipping out from the back. With a perky smile as ever, she jumps up and down amping the fans up before she delivers one final jump, slapping her shoes down on the ground before running down the ramp. As she runs, she slaps the hands of some fans, glitter spewing from her hands as she slaps theirs. She looks down at the kandi on her wrist, tossing it into the crowd as they cheer. J.A. Aldridge: Her opponent, hailing from Durham, North Carolina! Weighing in at 121 pounds... ANTOINETTE! As she makes her way down the ramp, she approaches the ring as she climbs up the ring apron she stands up and removes her sparkly jacket tossing it to the side as she enters. Once she’s in the ring, she bounces up and down, screaming out to the fans who encourage her before playfully slapping hands with the ref as she awaits the arrival of her opponent. Kris Cruise: Antoinette is coming into tonight with all the momentum. She recently just became the Liberation Champion over in Liberty Pro! That’s huge for her career. Stephy Auger: Yeah, she won a title somewhere else. That’s great, I guess? No really, it’s nice and all. But let’s see how that success translates here inside an FGA ring. Kris Cruise: Well, she’s definitely got her fair share of supporters here tonight. “Champ Ant” is looking to bring that same level of success to FGA. She’s got her shot tonight. Let’s see if she makes the most of it. The bell sounds as Antoinette and Margolis shake hands before locking up. Margolis is quick to gain the upper hand with a side headlock before bringing Antoinette down with a side headlock takeover. Antoinette then reverses into a grounded headscissors before Margolis escapes with a kip up. After Antoinette scrambles back to her feet, Margolis catches her in another side headlock. She then gets caught with a pair of forearms to the midsection before Antoinette pushes her off into the ropes. Margolis returns off the rebound and knocks Antoinette down with a running shoulder block. Margolis takes off into another set of ropes while Antoinette returns to her feet with a kip up. When Margolis comes back, Antoinette leapfrogs over her before taking off into the opposite set of ropes. When both grapplers return towards the center of the ring, Antoinette knocks Margolis off her feet with a running dropkick! A second dropkick knocks Margolis back down. Margolis is then knocked down by a spin kick before Antoinette makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Margolis kicks out. Kris Cruise: Ant got the better of that exchange. Margolis reverses an irish whip, sending Antoinette into the ropes. She sets up for a back body drop off the return, but Antoinette stops and counters with a swinging neckbreaker. She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Margolis kicks out. Kris Cruise: Good counter there by Antoinette for a two count. Gwen left herself open there. Stephy Auger: She totally telegraphed that move. Margolis reverses another irish whip, sending Antoinette into the ropes. Antoinette returns off the rebound before getting brought down with a drop toe hold. Margolis tries to place her in a Fujiwara Armbar, but Antoinette is able to slither across the mat and make it to the ropes. Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! Kris Cruise: Ant was fortunate to make it to the ropes. That could have spelled disaster for her. Margolis lets go. She then quickly reaches down, yanks Antoinette back up and whips her into the far ropes. Antoinette returns off the rebound before Margolis throws her down with a back body drop. Margolis tries to wrap her up in a Sharpshooter, but Antoinette uses her leg strength to push Margolis off of her. Margolis stumbles back before hitting the corner. Antoinette returns to a vertical base, runs over into the corner and tries to throw Margolis out of it with a monkey flip. Margolis blocks by holding on to Antoinette before switching positions and sitting her on the top turnbuckles. The cheers continue as Antoinette gets thrown off the top turnbuckle with a dragon screw leg whip! Margolis immediately went over and placed Antoinette in a Knee Bar. Kris Cruise: Nice counter there by Gwen! Stephy Auger: Yeah, she was even quick to follow up with a submission. The ref gets down and asks Antoinette if she wants to give up. Antoinette refuses. She tries to fight her way out by sitting up and scooting herself back on the mat, but Margolis is able to keep her help in place. Antoinette then resorts to delivering multiple heel kicks with her free leg. Margolis gets caught with kick after kick until she finally breaks the hold. Both grapplers take their time returning to their feet. Antoinette tries to head over to Margolis, but Margolis strikes first with a basement dropkick to the leg. Antoinette drops to a knee before a superkick to the face drops her flat on the mat. Margolis goes for the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Antoinette kicks out. Kris Cruise: Ant got all of that kick to the face, but she still had the wherewithal to kick out at two. Margolis pulls Antoinette back to her feet, lifts her up and delivers a shinbreaker. Antoinette hops on one leg before Margolis hits the ropes, returns and takes out the free leg with a basement dropkick. Antoinette crumbles to the mat before Margolis places her in a Sharpshooter. The ref gets back down and asks Antoinette if she wants to give up. Antoinette refuses. Antoinette tries to fight her way out of the hold while Margolis fights for the submission. The two grapplers are then met with dueling "LET'S GO, ANT!/LET'S GO GWEN!" chants. Antoinette starts to feed off the energy of the crowd and starts to drag herself towards the ropes. Margolis hangs on. She tries to get Antoinette to submit in time. But she's ultimately unsuccessful as Antoinette makes it to the ropes! Ant is met with applause for her fight. Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! Margolis breaks the hold. She picks up Antoinette, places her up against the ropes and fires off multiple forearm smashes. She then takes off into the far ropes. Margolis return and gears up for a strike, but Antoinette ducks and dumps her over the top rope to the floor! Kris Cruise: Gwen just took a tumble to the floor! Stephy Auger: She better hope she didn’t break anything. While Margolis tries to pick herself up off the mat, Antoinette reaches down and massages her knee. She then does her best to run to the far side of the ring. Antoinette returns off the rebound and picks up a little bit of speed before knocking Margolis down with a suicide dive! Kris Cruise: You ever seen an Ant take it to the air, Stephy!? Antoinette takes Margolis and rolls her back into the ring. Antoinette climbs up to the apron, walks over to the ring post and starts climbing the turnbuckles. Once Margolis returns to her feet, she turns around and gets knocked down with a missile dropkick! NO! Margolis steps back and swats Antoinette down before flipping over into a jackknife pin! ONE! . . TWO! . . Antoinette bridges up, turns, turns again, hooks Margolis' arms from behind and brings her down with a backslide pin. ONE! . . TWO! . . Margolis slips out and reverses with La Magistral. ONE! . . TWO! . . Antoinette kicks out. Margolis rushes over to attack, but Antoinette stuns her with an Ant-zuigiri (enzuigiri)! Antoinette hits the ropes, comes back and goes for a wheelbarrow victory roll, but Margolis counters with a wheelbarrow facebuster! She then wraps Antoinette up with a Japanese Leg Roll Clutch! ONE! . . TWO! . . Antoinette gets the shoulder up. Margolis goes for another superkick. This time, Antoinette catches her foot, swings the leg away from her and counters with the Sugar Crash (Backstabber)! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Margolis gets the shoulder up. Antoinette brings Margolis back down with the Sugar Rush (Russian Leg Sweep) before delivering the Ant Bridge (Bridging Northern Lights Suplex)! ONE! . . TWO! . . Margolis gets the shoulder. Both grapplers are met with applause from the crowd. Kris Cruise: What a series of reversals and counters from these two. They’re really showing how much they want it. Stephy Auger: This is what it’s all about, Cruise. Tonight could be their night to become a champion. They’re throwing everything they’ve got at each other. Kris Cruise: We’ve seen what the 15 Championship has done for the likes of Brian Stryker, Kendall Kingham, Sadie San Francisco and Sparrow, just to name a few. Will one of these two be able to add their names to that championship lineage here tonight? Antoinette tries for a running bulldog, but Margolis pushes her off into the ropes. Antoinette returns off the rebound and brings Margolis down with an STO. She then brings Margolis into the corner before sitting her down backwards on the top turnbuckle. The crowd cheers as Antoinette climbs the ropes, climbs up onto Margolis' shoulders and brings her down with the Ant Hill (top rope Frankensteiener)! Antoinette heads back to the top before hitting the Rave-A-Round (corkscrew moonsault)! ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! The crowd cheers as “Killin It” hits the speakers. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this bout... ANTOINETTE! The cheers continue as Antoinette gets her arm raised in victory. Kris Cruise: Antoinette picks up the win over Gwen Margolis! Ant now finds herself in the Semifinals against Mark Storm! How will the rest of the bracket shake out? We’ll find out just after this short break. • COMMERCIAL BREAK •

Laura Perelli (VO): I expected better of myself...
Unlike the way we’ve usually seen her in the past? Tonight, when the camera finds Laura Perelli, she’s in a very different mood than we’ve ever seen her. There’s no coy little games with the cameraman, there’s no elaborate costumes--rather, we find the Jersey Devil sat on a chair backwards, taping her wrists and just...staring forward; not so much at the camera, as vaguely in its direction, with a twisted, snarling scowl on La Principessa’s face as she spits out her first words.
Laura Perelli: For the last few months...I’ve sat out and watched this company. For the last few months, I've been stuck on the sidelines, and that thought...that thought keeps coming back to my mind--I expected better of myself. I expected...
Laura scoffs, shaking her head dismissively.
Laura Perelli: I expected to be more than I have been here--and if I’m completely honest about it? I am sick...and fucking tired...of coming close. I am sick and fucking tired of nearly...getting there. I look back on the last couple years, and all I see is LOST TIME...and wasted potential. I should've been the 15 Champion two years ago, I should've ripped Ashley Sands' shoulder apart if that's what it took...
The venom in Laura’s thoughts is reflected in her speech--where she might normally try to walk back her accent, make things a little easier to understand, her accent practically drips off every single word she utters.
Laura Perelli: I am tired of watching people with a fraction of my talent get anything before me.
Laura tears the tape and finishes wrapping her wrist before flinging it across the room, pushing the chair aside with a clanging of metal. She takes a long breath in, visibly unable to calm herself as she starts talking with her hands...even as she’s not speaking yet. One finger (the index, you heathens, relax) up, then back down; the same with the other hand; eventually she balls both fists and lets them hang at her sides.
Laura Perelli: I expect better out of myself. I expect...to be better than this, I expect...to be at the top of this goddamn company, not slumming it...with women whose IQs are smaller than their bra sizes; I expect to be competing with the best, not wasting my damn time...going back and forth, over and over, with the likes of Zach fucking Gall for months on end. I expect better of myself--I expect to be on par with the likes of Izzy Anders, I expect to be on par with the likes of Lowri Moss, I expect to be on par...with the elite...
Laura Perelli: Instead...heh, instead, all I’ve done in FGA is come up short. I’m not happy looking back at matches with Izzy, or Fujiko, or Storm, or anyone else...and seeing a good effort. A good effort...hmph, just happy to be seen, forgotten...within seconds; everybody wants to think the people, the company, the sport...remembers a good effort, but be honest with yourselves: nobody remembers that one impressive loss you have on your record. They remember what you did, not what you didn't do...and so far, all I’ve done in FGA is let shit get by me...
Laura pauses just for a moment; in theory, it’s to take a breath and maybe settle herself, but the camera zooms in just a bit, and her lip curls upward--her teeth grinding, her jaw tensed, “relaxing” definitely isn’t something Laura’s doing at this particular moment.
Laura Perelli: Well...I’m done letting ANYTHING pass me by anymore, I am DONE...with second best. Tonight, it’s a simple equation...seven people, three wins, and the Fifteen Championship; I don't care who the three I face are, I don't care...what order they come in, and I don’t care if I’m in the ring for 45 seconds or 45 minutes. Tonight...FGA has given me all the motivation I could possibly need, a night where I get to cut down the hopes and dreams of seven unlucky fools...and claim a title I should’ve won 2 years ago...
Unconsciously, the Jersey Devil rolls her neck out, her entire body as tense as her fists at this point. She exhales sharply, her nose screwed upwards as that snarling, angry scowl returns.
Laura Perelli: Gallagher. Bisley. TJ. Gwen. Storm. Braddock. Antoinette. I don’t care if it’s one of you at a time, I don’t care if it’s four of you at a time, I don’t care if all seven of you line up single-file to get STOMPED INTO THE GROUND ONE BY ONE, all of you, ALL OF YOU, LISTEN WELL...
Laura takes a second to recover herself, even closing her eyes and taking a longer-than-normal breath.
Laura Perelli: The seven of you...may feel like you were given the opportunity of a lifetime; it may feel like Christmas came early, a chance to make a name for yourself in FGA...but you have to understand, for me? Hmph, tonight is about a message, tonight is about me using every single one of you to remind this company where I belong, this is about me taking, and using...the Fifteen Championship, to get where I really belong. The rest of you? You can scrap over who gets to be the runner up, all seven of you can fight over the silver medal, all seven of you can fight...for the right to fail at the last hurdle, because as far as this tournament is concerned? The most that any of you have...is hope. Dreams of holding that title up at the end of the night...
For a moment, Laura’s expression softens; she even finds herself laughing a little bit.
Laura Perelli: And dreams have a way of dying in FGA...
Laura shakes her head, pushing her hair out of her face, giving herself enough time to compose herself after her tirade from moments ago.
Laura Perelli: I want every single one of you to listen, closely...tonight is not some great Cinderella story for one of you. Tonight is my night, this tournament is MINE, and I do not care what I have to do, I do not care who I have to do it to--if you get in front of me, you...are...forfeit. I will do whatever I want, to WHOEVER GETS IN MY WAY...if it means you all learn that damn lesson, if it means everyone in this company takes note...and remembers just who the hell I really am...
Despite the lack of theatricality earlier, despite the lack of pomp and circumstances surrounding her up to this point, Laura’s usual ego shines through as she dips into an extended bow, arms out wide--though her eyes never leave the camera, that snarling scowl from earlier morphed into a sly, cocky little smirk as she just says three more words, before turning to leave.
Laura Perelli: Viva...La Principessa.

15 CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT (FIRST ROUND) Laura Perelli vs. Betsy Gallagher "Dusted" by Astroid Boys plays and Betsy walks out with her robe on, taking her place in the middle of the ramp, where she stretches her arms to either side and lets the robe fall slightly down her back, exposing her shoulders but still being mostly worn. J.A. Aldridge: The following contest, scheduled for one fall with a 15 minute time limit, is a first round match in the 15 Championship Tournament! Introducing first, hailing from Manchester, England! Weighing in at 143 pounds... BETSY GALLAGHER! As she starts walking to the ring, she alternates between pointing at herself and at the crowd, her confidence only second to how much she appreciates the fans. Kris Cruise: Betsy Gallagher is out first for the next first round match in the 15 Championship Tournament. I know that the results for her haven’t been great here in FGA. But she could turn that all around with a huge night here in Pittsburgh. Stephy Auger: She could. To be honest, if she were going up against anyone else, I’d give her a puncher’s chance. But did you hear what La Principessa just said? That woman is here on a mission, Cruise. The arena goes dark for just a moment, as the opening riffs to Voodoo Johnson's "United Divided" play through the PA, before the white lights are replaced by swirling blue and yellow replacements. A few seconds pass, though, and it’s only when the drum beat kicks in that the curtain is pushed aside, and Laura Perelli comes spinning through, immediately spreading her arms out wide, a sly little smile on her face as she glances out into the arena. She holds her spot in the center of the stage, rolling her neck out to either side, only making her way down the ramp when she’s good and ready. Laura’s not exactly in a particular hurry, as she more saunters down the ring, occasionally glancing to either side of her to take in the fans at the aisleway. It’s never for more than a moment or two, though, as the most regard Laura’s willing to give is a little tilt of the head to one fan in particular trying to get her attention--whatever he may have been saying, it didn’t do much to faze her, and she just continues to move on. At her own pace, she eventually reaches the ring steps, pausing with one boot on the bottom step, closing her eyes for just a second before quickly jogging up onto the apron, casually wiping the soles of her boots off before spinning around to face the crowd--if only to smirk a little bit. J.A. Aldridge: Her opponent, hailing from Trenton, New Jersey, weighing in at 127 lbs, this is LAURAAAAA PERRELLIIIIIIIII! Laura swings herself through the ropes, spinning in a half circle to face the opposite side fans and stretching both arms out, holding the pose for more than a couple seconds before eventually backing herself into her corner, shrugging her jacket off and dumping it out of the ring. Grabbing the top rope with one hand, she leans down, stretching her opposite leg out in preparation for the match. Kris Cruise: Laura Perelli is definitely out here with a chip on her shoulder. Stephy Auger: Why shouldn’t she? This is a title that she should have had years ago. To think that the likes of Ashley Sands and Ashley Marie Chase have won the 15 Title and she hasn’t is so unfair! Kris Cruise: I don’t agree with that at all. I will say this. For all of Laura Perelli’s talent, it’s up to her to put it all together inside the ring. She can’t blame Gall, AMC, Sands, Sparrow or anyone else for her lack of results. At some point, she needs to have a good long look in the mirror. Stephy Auger: You think she hasn’t? You clearly weren’t listening. Laura herself said that she expected better of herself. The time of her coming “so close” is over and gone. Tonight, she makes her mark as a champion in FGA. Perelli marches over to Gallagher and immediately piefaces her, which results in boos from the crowd. Kris Cruise: HEY! Stephy Auger: Screw the handshake and formalities, Cruise. Laura isn’t here to play nice. Kris Cruise: When has she ever? Gallagher turns back to Perelli and gets caught with a forearm smash! A second forearm smash knocks Gallagher back. After a third forearm rocks Gallagher, Perelli takes her opponent and moves her into the corner. From there, Perelli proceeds to light up Gallagher's chest with knife edge chops. The boos turn to cheers when Gallagher takes Perelli, tosses her into the corner and delivers four European Uppercuts. Perelli is then whipped into the far corner. Gallagher runs across the ring to attack, but Perelli doubles her over with a knee strike to the midsection. She then places Gallagher in a side headlock before raking her face along the top rope. The boos continue as Gallagher gets slammed face-first into the top turnbuckle. She then gets turned around before Perelli returns the favor with four European Uppercuts of her own. Gallagher is then whipped into the far corner. Perelli runs over to attack, but Gallagher knocks her back with a boot to the face. NO! Perelli catches her foot, gives her a shrug and drags her out of the corner. Gallagher hops on one leg until Perelli throws her down with a dragon screw leg whip. Gallagher tries to get back up, but Perelli is right there to knock her down with a Sliding D! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Gallagher kicks out. Stephy Auger: Gallagher’s lucky Perelli didn’t dislocate her jaw with that Sliding D. Perelli sits Gallagher up before delivering a stinging knife edge chop across the back of the neck. She then turns and hits the ropes. Perelli returns off the rebound and flattens Gallagher with a Penalty Kick! NO! Gallagher catches Perelli's leg. Kris Cruise: Betsy caught the leg in time! Gallagher keeps hold of the last as she returns to her feet. She then swings Perelli's leg away from her before clocking her from behind with the Knightmaker (Elbow Smash to the back of the opponent's head)! The cheers continue as Gallagher makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Perelli kicks out. Kris Cruise: Betsy laid into Laura with hard elbow to the back of the head, but Perelli kicked out in time. Stephy Auger: It’s going to take more than that to keep Laura down! Gallagher takes Perelli and whips her into the ropes. She sets up for a back body drop on the return, but Perelli counters with a kick to the shoulder that knocks her upright. Gallagher grabs her shoulder while Perelli turns and heads back into the ropes. When Perelli returns, Gallagher throws her down with a pop-up powerbomb! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Perelli gets the shoulder up. Gallagher pulls Perelli into a standing headscissors before bringing her down with the Fairy Tale Ending (Double Underhook Sit-out Facebuster)! NO! Perelli breaks free of the underhooks, brings Gallagher down with a standing double leg and flips over into a jackknife pin. ONE! . . TWO! . . Gallagher bridges up, turns over, lifts Perelli up and brings her down with the Fairy Tale Ending! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Perelli gets the shoulder up. Kris Cruise: Betsy got her on the second attempt, but Perelli still got the shoulder up in time. Stephy Auger: Don’t let her take control of this match, Laura! Gallagher takes Perelli, delivers an irish whip, follows her across the ring and connects with a running corner European Uppercut. She then delivers another irish whip, follows Perelli across the ring and connects with another running corner European Uppercut. NO! Perelli slips out of the way, causing Gallagher to crash into the corner. Gallagher stumbles back until Perelli grabs her from behind and throws her shoulder-first into the ring post. Kris Cruise: Oh come on! Stephy Auger: It was perfectly legal! The boos continues as Perelli scoops Gallagher up across her shoulder before bringing her down with a shoulderbreaker. Instead of going for the cover, Perelli sits up Gallagher before taking off into the ropes. Perelli picks up speed on the return before flattening Gallagher with a Penalty Kick to the shoulder! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Gallagher gets the good shoulder up. Perelli swings her leg over and applies a step over kimura! Kris Cruise: Perelli stays on the attack! Stephy Auger: There you go, Laura! Crank it! CRANK IT! Gallagher howls in pain while Perelli pushes her hand up towards the base of the neck. When Gallagher refuses, Perelli stands up before delivering a stomp to the keylocked arm! Kris Cruise: Good Lord! The boos continue as Perelli pulls Gallagher back up before bringing her down with a hammerlock belly to belly suplex. She then pulls Gallagher over into the prone position before slipping on the Fujiwara Armbar. Stephy Auger: She’s isn’t going to be denied, Cruise. Not anymore! Gallagher howls in pain while Perelli pulls back on the arm. The ref asks Gallagher if she wants to give up. Gallagher refuses. She tries to fight her way to the ropes, but Perelli slows her down by bending the wrist and twisting the fingers. Gallagher tries to block out the pain while she struggles to pull herself forward. Gallagher is slowly but surely dragging herself closer and closer to the ropes. Perelli then repeatedly yanks back on the arm. Gallagher screams out in pain, but she won't throw in the towel. She yells out as she claws her way towards the side of the ring and reaches the bottom rope. Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! The crowd erupts with boos when Perelli refuses to break the hold. The ref continues to admonish her, but she still won't let go. Kris Cruise: Come on, ref! Where’s the DQ!? Perelli finally breaks the hold when the ref threatens disqualification. Gallagher slips out to the apron while the ref continues to read Perelli the riot act. Perelli simply brushes him off before making her way out to the apron. She slowly picks up Gallagher before Gallagher quickly scoops her up across her good shoulder. The crowd cheers as Gallagher runs along the apron before throwing her down with a running powerslam to the floor! Stephy Auger: GAH! Kris Cruise: WHAT A SLAM BY GALLAGHER! DID YOU HEAR THAT SPLAT!? The cheers continue as Perelli gets rolled back in. Gallagher holds her hurt arm before rolling back in for the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Perelli gets her foot on the bottom rope. Gallagher takes Perelli and sends her for the ride. When Perelli returns, Gallagher knocks her off her feet with a running single leg dropkick! She heads back over for the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Perelli gets the shoulder up. Gallagher picks up Perelli, takes control of her back and uses her good arm to knock her down with the Queen's Lariat (Wristlock transitioned into a Short-Arm Lariat)! She goes for the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Perelli gets the shoulder up. Gallagher takes Perelli and doubles her over with four knee thrusts to the midsection. She then hits the ropes. Gallagher returns off the rebound before knocking Perelli down with the Regal Knee! NO! Perelli slips out of the way, quickly takes control of Gallagher's back and brings her down with Dead Money (Regal Plex)! ONE! . . TWO! . . Gallagher gets the shoulder up. Kris Cruise: Great counter by Perelli, but Gallagher got the shoulder up in time! Perelli takes Gallagher, lifts her up across her shoulders and brings her down with the Head Shot (Ushi Goroshi) before turning her over into the New Jersey Necktie (Rings of Saturn)! The crowd boos when Gallagher verbally submits. The crowd boos as “United Divided” hits the speakers. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this bout... LAURA PERELLI! The boos continue as Perelli gets her arm raised in victory. Kris Cruise: Laura Perelli picks up the victory tonight. Betsy Gallagher fought hard. She fought damn hard! She shouldn’t have any shame with how she performed tonight. Perelli was just too good. Stephy Auger: One down, two to go! Kris Cruise: With Perelli advancing to the semis, that only leaves one more match in the first round of the 15 Championship tournament. Let’s send it to the back for comments from one of the remaining participants.

Once again we find Mark Bisley sitting backstage, his chin resting on the back of his folded hands which are propped up by his elbows resting on the back of the folding chair, but he isn’t chomping on a wad of gum as he usually does, instead he’s letting the wad of gum rest in his cheek because he’s that little bit more focused this evening Mark Bisley: Have you ever heard the definition of insanity? Insanity is doing the same task over and over and over again, to the exact same result, yet you’re expecting the results to change because you’ve convinced yourself that it’s just the flip of a coin and it’ll come up Tails eventually, when the task is only ever going to come up Heads A beat Mark Bisley: What, you were expecting me to quote Far Cry 3 or something? The look on Bisley’s face makes it abundantly clear that he’s not in a playful mood Mark Bisley: There’s a reason why I asked this, because those of us with long memories will be fully aware that I was a dominant 15 Champion, so dominant in fact that it took the combined chicanery of three separate people working for their own ends which happened to all require the 15 Championship to be chiseled out of my grasp. Chiseled out of my grasp after three successful title defenses, lest I remind you. Yet again Bisley pauses, but this time as he pauses he slowly, ever so slowly, counts from one to three on his fingers Mark Bisley: So let’s see if I have everything that tonight’s tournament involved correct: it is asking me to win three matches under the umbrella of the 15 Championship, correct? You know that I can do this, I know that I can do this, you would like to believe that those who put this tournament together are fully aware that I can do this, so there’s just one group of people who need to be asked if they are aware of this: are the other seven people in this tournament aware of this? Because if they’re not, I may as well see if I can have their names added to my list of successful defenses so I can get right back to where I was before that little bit quicker Bisley unclasps his hands, instead pressing his fingertips together under his chin Mark Bisley: Of course, that last part was a joke, if you didn’t figure it out for yourselves, but then again so is having to go through a tournament to win a title which I have more than proven I can win and defend while the remainder of the field, and I mean this with all the respect in the world, the vast majority of them cannot compare. Oh, I know that Mark Storm is in the mix and they can point to holding the same belt in the past, more power to them for being able to say that they are not making up the numbers, but more importantly that means that I can’t stroll through the tournament to my inevitable victory and instead need to pace myself, so no unnecessary burning of energy which I may need further down the line, no making silly mistakes to pad out the highlight reel in the first match in case that comes back to bite me come the third, and no expecting a coronation as there’s certainly people in the field who are looking to put their own stamp on things A beat. Again Mark Bisley: And more than anything else, no people looking to chisel the title out of my handsA smirk Mark Bisley: Much as I do not like it, tonight is giving me a chance to set the record straight and not only regain the 15 Championship which I won and defended with distinction, but also correct the record and get those four successful defenses under my belt so that I can once again ask myself if I want to become the first person in the history of the 15 Championship to have five successful title defenses, or if I want to content myself with not only being the only three-time champion in this title’s history but also having the record number of defenses – eight, if you weren’t keeping track – and then deciding that it is time to challenge for the United States Championship A smirk. A much more pronounced one, at that Mark Bisley: Because remember what I said when I arrived in Frontier Grappling Arts: that I am here to save this company one title at a time, and I have already saved the tag team and the 15 Championships, indeed tonight I need to save the 15 Championship a second time after it was so ruthlessly besmirched, but there are so many more titles which need to be saved and, once I have saved the 15 Championship from what it has become through no fault of its own, there comes a point when you need to look at the wider picture and consider spreading your wings Bisley taps the tips of his fingers together Mark Bisley: …which is the sort of thing I would be saying if I was assuming that tonight would be a cakewalk, something which I am not doing, because if I were so arrogant that I would look past tonight’s tournament and instead look forward to my first, second, third and fourth defense then I would be asking to be hoist by my own petard, hence I will not. No, leave that for somebody else in this field, somebody who assumes that being part of this tournament means they’ve already arrived, because those are the people who have their eyes opened before the night is over – and not because they keep having their hand raised. As for me, my eyes are already open, and they’re focusing on the task in hand, and that task is reducing a field of eight to three soundly defeated opponents, and the task is making sure that I have both the stamina and the wherewithal to do just that, because that’s how you go one better than everybody else. • COMMERCIAL BREAK •

EARLIER TODAY
Spencer Burke: It's Spencer Burke here reporting to you live backstage from Vertigo. Joining me at this time is one of tonight's competitors in this 8 person tournament for the 15 Championship. TJ Techniques, come on in here.
The fans in the arena cheer when they see The Funky Technician, TJ Techniques, walk into picture.
Spencer Burke: TJ, tonight you have your chance at a second title here in FGA. You've been one of the 8 selected to compete in tonight's tournament to crown a new 15 Champion. Of course, this tournament has come about because your good friend Sparrow decided, after 4 successful defenses, to cash in the 15 Championship for a guaranteed United States Championship match. There's plenty of talent in this tournament. Some, like yourself, might be more favored to win than others. It's a talent field, nonetheless. However, you aren't exactly on the best of streaks heading into this tournament. As we saw at the top of the week, you did lose your championship over in Liberty Pro. Two days later, you lost in the first round of a World Championship tournament over in the U.K. I don't mean to put words in your mouth, TJ, but I would imagine that you're pretty disappointed right about now.
TJ Techniques: Disappointed? Disappointed, you say? Disappointed don't even do it justice, Spence. How about we go with frustrated? How about we go with pissed off, because that's exactly how I'm feeling right now.
TJ runs his hands over his head before continuing.
TJ Techniques: Earlier this week, I stood across that ring from a man that I respect. He's a man that has always had my back and I've always had his. That's my boy that I was standin' across the ring from. With that bein' said, that was also someone that I had beaten time and time again. But on that night, he got me.
TJ claps.
TJ Techniques: Sparrow got me good and he beat me for my championship. But honestly, that match should've never happened. I don't say that because I lost, I say it because it's true. I say it because that match deserved the proper build. It was a match that deserved the main event. It deserved its own spotlight. It deserved the biggest stage. Instead, it was something thrown together late in the game by a vindictive, no-nothin', so-called "owner" that truthfully doesn't know her head from her ass. Instead, it was overshadowed by politics and by that no-nothin', so-called "owner" playin' favorites. I'm talkin' about me and my man, my brother, bein' pitted against each other... with his job on the line. If that wasn't bad enough, Spence, whoever won that much had to immediately defend the championship against her prized possession, her favorite. That bum ass Blyss Lockhart. TJ Techniques and Sparrow? That's a match that deserved all the fancy presentation. Instead, we were reduced to bein' two pawns. We were out there bein' forced to soften each other up for her favorite. And that's exactly what happened when my man lost the championship barely ten minutes after beatin' me for it. Me losing that title is one thing. Me losing that title is bad enough. But seein' what happened to him immediately after that match? It was a goddamn disgrace and it's no wonder that that place has the reputation that it currently does. But that was just night one, Spence. That was just the start of the week.
TJ sucks his teeth. He continues.
TJ Techniques: Let's fast forward a couple of days later. Let's fast forward to a couple of days later to another opponent who's number I also had. This was my chance to not just bounce back from that bullsh*t on Monday night, but it was my chance to raise my stock in that company. See, I had held a championship there before. I did my thing. I had my fair share of battles with some of the industry's best. I even beat Lowri Moss there once upon a time. Clean, too. But was I truly respected? Was I really gettin' my just due there? Of course not. I mean, we don't have to look any further than the notation of my title win to tell the tale of how truly respected I was there. And this right here, what I'm about to spit? It's from the official website. And I quote, "the long reign of Michael Kelly would come to an end as he would face five other challengers in a gauntlet match. TJ Techniques would emerge as the final entrant and pin an already affected Michael to capture his first championship in Evolution."
TJ lets out a bitter laugh. Spencer Burke doesn't know whether to laugh with him or continue to shut up and let TJ vent. he opts for the latter.
TJ Techniques: If you're reading that, how does that sound to you? Because I know how it sounds to me. It sounds like "TJ only won because he beat a tired Mike Kelly". That reads to me like "TJ only won because he came out last". Wednesday night, Spence, was a chance to flip the script. It was a chance for me to put things in the proper perspective when it came to me. That was my chance, my night, to show up... show out and show and prove not just how much I had improved since that place closed down in 2019... but that here in 2022, I could beat the very best they had to offer. But what happens Spence? What happens? I get dropped in the first goddamn round.
Exasperated, TJ throw his arms up in the air. He then puts his hands on his hips before looking off into the distance. TJ shakes his head. He's out of answers. But he's equally out of patience.
TJ Techniques: This wasn't the play, man. Things weren't supposed to go like this. I was supposed to walk into this building with one belt over my left shoulder, one belt over my right shoulder and then I was supposed to leave this place with a new belt around my waist. TJ Three Belts was supposed to be a thing but now? Now?! it ain't nothin' but a hope that was a dashed; a thought of what could've been. You know, you can talk about how this person is on a losing streak or how this person hasn't faired that well lately. But you know me. You know I always tell it like it is and if we're keepin' it a buck, no one is headin' into this tournament with less momentum than me. No one is headin' into this tournament with less momentum than me because I have no momentum. I look around at this field. I see Mark Bisley, a two time 15 Champion. I see Mark Storm, another former 15 Champion. I see Antoinette. She's takin' the world by storm. Champ Ant is what they call her. ChampiANT is what they call her. She's comin' into this tournament with one of the top titles in Liberty Pro around her waist. I'm not. I see Julia Braddock, a goddamn Grand Slam winner. What am I comin' into this tournament with? Loss after loss? Disappointment after disappointment?
The Funky Technician lowers his head before shaking it in shame. He stays silent for a couple of moments before lifting his head up and turning his attention to the interviewer.
TJ Techniques: I need this, Spence. I need this and let me tell you why. For the longest time, I've been disrespected. From opponents to even a so-called partner, I've been disrespected. For the longest time, I've been taken for granted. From companies far and wide, I've been taken for granted. Even certain fans have taken me for granted. But not anymore! You know, every time I come up short, I keep hearin’ the same thing. "Good job, Teej. Good effort, Teej. Keep up the good work. Your time will come". Aye man, listen. I can’t eat off you tellin’ me to “keep up the good work”! Tellin’ me “my time will come” don’t pay the bills, bro! "My time will come" don't add an extra figure to my paychecks! But guess what? Bein' a champion does. Bein' a champion on the biggest of stages will get me the respect that I've earned. Not deserve, earned! Goin' into this one night tournament and walkin' out with the new 15 Championship will go along way to me gettin' just that. I can't go 0-3 this week, Spence. I can't. I just can't. I gotta come away with somethin' this week. For my rep, for my pride, for my damn sanity. I gotta come away with somethin'. And I will!
Burke pulls at his collar after TJ's rant. The man's passion is palpable. The crowd greets him with cheers before quieting down as he continues.
TJ Techniques: Julia Braddock, you gon' try and ride that wave from Royal Battle all the way to the 15 Championship. You wanna replicate your performance from Royal Battle with another win over Mark Storm with the hope that it carries you all the way to the end. It might. It just might. Now I'll give you your props. You've done things in this business that I never have. I've never held a World Championship. I've never been a Grand Slam winner. I don't know what any of that feels like. But trust and believe that after tonight, I'll have done something in this business than you haven't: become FGA 15 Champion!
The crowd cheers.
TJ Techniques: Mark Storm. What's that catchphrase of his, Spence? Your Hero and Mine? That's what he calls himself, right? Your Hero and Mine? Now you might be Spence's hero. You might be the cameraman's hero. The lighting guy's hero. Even the guy holdin' the boom mic might think you're his hero. But you are no hero of mine, my man. People like Flex Johnson, for example. That's a hero of mine. People like Anthony Bailey, Jair Hopkins, those are heroes of mine. Even though he's a peer right now, even a Dante Cutler is a hero of mine. That's no shade to you. That don't mean I don't rock with you. It's the exact opposite, actually. I respect you, Storm. I acknowledge you. But I do not idolize you. So if me and you cross paths out there in that thing, don't expect me to bow to you. Expect me to come straight for your neck!
TJ is met with more cheers.
TJ Techniques: Betsy Gallagher? Gwen Margolis? Y'all are probably the only two other people in this tournament that want this as badly as I do. Betsy, you ain't won a damn match here yet, but a big win tonight changes everything for you. Gwen, you're still lookin' for that big break. You're still lookin' for that definin' win. This tournament could be your breakout moment. The both of y'all have everything to gain and nothin' to lose, so I expect y'all to hold nothin' back. But if we meet up? Don't expect me to hold nothin' back, either. We can have all the respect in the world. We can all be cool after the show's over. But in that ring? When it comes to this here 15 Championship? I will drop you where you stand.
Even more cheers are heard for TJ.
TJ Techniques: Laura Perelli, me and you got a history. As a matter of fact, I owe you a receipt. Don't think I forgot about that bullsh*t from before. Yeah, you beat me. I got no problem acknowledgin' defeat. You even made me submit. The loss is whatever. Everyone loses at some point. But it was you keepin' that submission on after the fact to send a message? Yeah, you been long overdue to get dropped for that and if you're lucky enough to advance, you will get claptized out there. Now...
The crowd showers TJ with more cheers. He puts his hand up to simmer them down.
TJ Techniques: Now Antoinette. I appreciate you. I appreciate your grind. You didn't rely on your last name to get ahead. You dropped the famous last name because you wanted to be you. You didn't want to ride the coattails of your 50 famous cousins. Nah, you wanted to be your own person. You wanted to do your own thing. I can respect that. You hunkered down, you put in that work and look at you now? Liberation Champion and could very well be the FGA 15 Champion when it's all said and done. Go 'head, Ant! Now, if certain things went a different direction elsewhere and if things went a certain way here tonight, we could have seen Liberty's Liberation Champion facing off against Liberty's Freedom Champion in the Finals. That's clearly not gon' happen as I no longer have that championship. But the people still wanna know what would have happened if the top two champs of those respective brands ever faced off. If you hold up your end of the bargain, we might just find that out because I damn sure plan on holdin' up my end.
A beat.
TJ Techniques: Now I could take about all these names and all these possibilities, Spence. But it don't mean a damn thing if I don't get out the first round. So that's why I saved your ass for last, Mark Bisley.
The mention of Bisley's name is immediately met with a downpour of boos.
TJ Techniques: Damn, I see they don't got love for him here, ether. Hell, I bet he don't even get love in his home state. But I ain't here to talk how the crowd responds to you. I'm here to talk about your skillset because from bell to bell, you're probably one of the most underrated guys here. With that bein' said, it's been real quiet out here for you in these streets. My man Sparrow dropped you for the 15 Championship. Then you went into a three way match with two titles on the line, yet you're the only one that left the match with nothin'. Then you tried to go after the 15 Championship again, only for Logan Alexander to drop you. Now I know what you're thinkin'. You see this field. You don't see Logan or Sparrow anywhere to be found, so you think you got this in the bag. You think this tournament is as good as yours. You think that 15 Title is comin' back home where it belongs. Look here, Mark. "Smart" might be your lil nickname. But if you think you're gettin' past me in this tournament, then you're clearly dumb as hell. The bottom line is, you ain't never faced anyone like me in that ring before. I bring a different energy than people like Logan, Ashlyn, Gareth and Lowri. I bring a different skillset than Sparrow and AMC. I fly higher than Ashley Sands. Are you more technically sound than me? Damn right you are. But I'm faster than you, more agile than you. You can't hang with me in the air. Styles make fights and in this first round match, we gon' see what happens when a technical specialist tries his best to ground FGA's Flyest. For as smart as you claim to be, Mark, I sure hope you've peeped the technique. I hope you've peeped game because if you haven't done your googles, if you haven't done the knowledge, then your time in this tournament is gon' be a very short one.
Another round of cheers for The Meaning of Dope.
TJ Techniques: It's my time now, Spence. The wrestling world is gon’ run me my respect...

15 CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT (FIRST ROUND) TJ Techniques vs. Mark Bisley The arena lights dim to almost pitch blackness, save for a couple of blue lights that pulse in sync with the intro to "Storms End" that is rising in pitch and intensity until the main hook burst forth and, at that very second, the ramp is bathed in blue light as Mark Bisley strides onto the ramp with his head bowed and an arm raised before he comes to a stop on the ramp and raises his head to survey the arena wearing one hell of a self-satisfied smirk upon his face. Keeping his arm raised as he makes his way down the ramp, Bisley walks at his own pace as he confidently walks to the ring at his own pace right up until he reaches the ringside area, and once he reaches the ringside area he lowers his arm and breaks into a short dash to give him the momentum to hop onto the ring apron where he crouches for a moment and taps the side of his head a couple of times to the song's beat before he rolls backwards into the ring and quickly gets back to his feet. J.A. Aldridge: The following contest, scheduled for one fall with a 15 minute time limit, is a first round match in the 15 Championship Tournament! Introducing first, hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota! Weighing in at 201 pounds... MARK BISLEY! Once he's got to his feet Bisley makes his way to the nearest corner and climbs the nearest turnbuckles where he stands with one foot on the top rope and his arms held out wide as he slowly tilts his head back for a few seconds until he turns his head and peers back into the ring and climbs down, removing the towel from around his shoulders the second his feet touch the canvas and casually tossing it in the referee's direction as he takes a few steps forward so he's standing in the center of the ring where he drops to a knee and runs his hand on the canvas to say one thing: this is my ring. Kris Cruise: Mark Bisley hasn’t faired well in championship matches as of late. But tonight could be his finest hour. “Smart” Mark is coming into this tournament with something to prove. Stephy Auger: Maybe he’ll eventually vacate the 15 Championship to challenge and win the U.S. Championship? Maybe he’ll keep the championship and go for the record for most defenses. Regardless of what path Bisley chooses, as the end of the night, he WILL make history again by becoming a three-time, three-time, three-time 15 Champion! ♫ Step into a world (Klaka klaka, klaka klaka!) Where there's no one left (Buku, buku! Alla de massive!) But the very best (Klaka, bo bo, BDP crew, bo bo bo bo!) No MC can test [*cut and scratch of KRS saying "but one"*] ♫ The beat kicks in as "Step Into a World (Rapture’s Delight)" starts to knock through the speakers. Out through the curtain steps TJ Techniques, clad in his ring attire and hooded vest. TJ peeks out underneath the hood as he looks out to the right. He does the same to his left before flinging the hood back, smacking his chest twice and pointing down in front of him with his forefingers. TJ nods his head as he makes his way down the ramp with purpose. J.A. Aldridge: His opponent, hailing from Staten Island, New York! Weighing in at 188 pounds! He is "The Funky Technician" TJ TECHNIQUES! TJ leaps to the apron before stepping into the squared circle. He makes a beeline towards the far corner and hops up to the middle ropes. TJ scans the crowd before slapping his chest twice and pointing down in front of him with his fingers. He hops down from the corner, walks across the ring and hops to the middle ropes and scans the corner. TJ slaps his chest twice before pointing down in front of him with his forefingers. He then hops down and takes off the hooded vest before tossing it to the outside. TJ tugs away at the top rope as he readies himself for the start of the match. Kris Cruise: Speaking of chips on their shoulders, TJ Techniques is bound and determined to get his just due. Stephy Auger: Just due? The only thing he’s due is a slap upside the head. Chance the Grappler over here had it good when Cassius Reed was successfully leading their team. But TJ being TJ, he couldn’t follow orders. He wouldn’t hold up his end of the bargain. So after HE cost The Funky Technicians the tag titles, Cassius did what he had to do. Now unfortunately for Cassius, he ended up losing to TJ, somehow, at Grapple Kingdom 4. But TJ needs to realize that he won’t have a veteran to rely on anymore. He won’t have a bigger, stronger, faster, smarter and more charismatic partner to carry him anymore. He’s going to have to do it all alone. If Casisus was still in his ear giving him pointers and guiding him through life, then we would have walked into this match with those belts on his shoulders that he talked about. But guess what, Cruise? Hip Hop Harry is going to walk out the same way he walked in: titleless! The bell sounds as both grapplers circle the ring. Bisley starts to slowly inch his way over towards Techniques. They motion for a lock up, but Bisley ends up opting for a drop-step go-behind before taking control of Techniques' back. Seconds later, Techniques drops to all fours after a leg trip from Bisley. "Smart" Mark then applied an underhook and tries to muscle Techniques over onto his back for a pin, but Techniques is able to fight through it and make his way towards the ropes. Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! Bisley breaks the wear waistlock before pushing Techniques's back. The crowd boos as Bisley as he gets back to his feet and backs away from Techniques. Techniques pulls himself up using the ropes before making his way towards the center of the ring. Both grapplers tries to make each other out until Bisley shoots in and snatches up Techniques' leg with an ankle pick. Techniques hops on foot before he stumbles back and collapses against the ropes. Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! Bisley lets go of the ankle before pushing Techniques again. The crowd boos Bisley while he steps back towards the center of the ring. Kris Cruise: Bisley continues to get the better of TJ. Stephy Auger: His name might be “techniques,” but he doesn’t have the techniques and the technical ability to outwrestle Bisley. Techniques pulls himself up using the ropes again before inching over towards Bisley. Both grapplers size each up before locking up. Bisley gains the advantage with a side headlock before performing a standing switch and transitioning into a hammerlock from behind. Bisley keeps the hammerlock applied until Techniques uses his free arm to nail him in the face with a hard back elbow. Techniques then spins out and reverses into a hammerlock of his own. Bisley then reaches back, grabs Techniques by the neck with his free arm and brings him down with a jumping snapmare. NO! Techniques lands on his feet before taking off into the ropes. Techniques returns off the rebound, ducks a lariat attempt and runs the ropes. Techniques returns off the ropes, ducks a back elbow attempt and continues to run the ropes. When Techniques returns, the crowd boos when Bisley throws him down with an overhead belly to belly suplex. Bisley heads over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Techniques kicks out. Bisley moves Techniques into the corner and unleashes the Minnesota Buzzsaw (repeated shoot kick to a cornered opponent's chest). He then takes Techniques, delivers an irish whip and follows him across the ring. Instead of crashing into the corner, Techniques grabs onto the top ropes with both hands and vaults backwards over Bisley. When Bisley turns around in the corner, Techniques blasts him a palm strike. He then delivers an irish whip, follows Bisley back across the ring and performs a Tiger Wall Flip off Bisley's chest. Bisley runs out of the corner to attack, but Techniques is able to bring him down with an arm drag. A japanese arm drag brings Bisley back down to the mat. Bisley returns to his feet before winding up on the receiving end of an arm wrench. Techniques then locks his left hand with Bisley's right before delivering a slap across the chest. He then runs towards the side of the ring, runs up to the top rope and brings Bisley down with a springboard arm drag. Bisley gets back to his feet before Techniques runs over and brings him down with a wheelbarrow arm drag. The cheers continue as Techniques rushes back over and delivers a running hurricanrana, sending Bisley staggering across the ring before falling through the ropes to the floor. Kris Cruise: Just like that, TJ Techniques has turned this match around. Stephy Auger: For now, Cruise. For now. Techniques crouches down and waits patiently for Bisley to get into position. When Bisley starts to pick himself up off the floor, Techniques takes off into the far ropes. The Funky Technician runs back across the ring and motions for a dive to the outside. The crowd boos when he has to slam on the brakes after Bisley scurries out of the way. Stephy Auger: There you go, Mark! Stay out of the way! Don’t let him line you up. Bisley points to his temple while he continue to make his way around ringside. He then turns and does a double take when Techniques slingshots himself over the top rope. Bisley ducks, but Techniques only slingshots out to the apron. When Bisley stands back up, Techniques nails him with a back kick to the face before knocking him down with a pendulum moonsault off the apron! Stephy Auger: What kind of moonsault was that? Kris Cruise: Definitely an interest take on the move. But it connected, nonetheless! The cheers continue as Bisley gets rolled back inside. Techniques hops back up onto the apron and gets back in with a topé atomico across Bisley before making the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Bisley kicks out. Bisley gets thrown down with a scoop slam before Techniques follows up with a Flashing Elbow. He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Bisley kicks out. Techniques takes Bisley and whips him into the corner. After a Rolling Koppu Kick sends Bisley slumping down in the corner, Techniques hits the adjacent set of ropes before coming back and catching him across the face with the Buck 50 (running facewash)! Bisley gets dragged out of the corner before Techniques makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Bisley kicks out. Kris Cruise: Another nearfall for Techniques. Stephy Auger: C’mon, Mark! Techniques takes Bisley and whips him into the ropes. He sets up for a back body drop off the rebound, but Bisley stops, knocks him upright with a kick to the face, doubles him over with a rolling solebutt to the midsection, follows up with the Iko Uwais (cravat with repeated knees to the head) before bringing him down with Welcome to the Twin Cities (hangman's neckbreaker across the knee)! The boos continue as Bisley makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Techniques kicks out. Bisley brings Techniques down with a snap suplex before turning over into a lateral press. ONE! . . TWO! . . Techniques kicks out. Bisley brings Techniques down with a bridging Northern Lights Suplex. ONE! . . TWO! . . Techniques gets the shoulder up. Techniques gets sent for the ride. When he returns, Bisley brings him down with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Techniques gets the shoulder up. Kris Cruise: Yet another nearfall for Mark Bisley. He's really turned this match around. Stephy Auger: Of course he has. Bisley could see that back body drop attempt coming from a mile away and made him pay. Bisley takes Techniques and delivers the Bisley Special (double underhook suplex floated into front guillotine choke)! Bisley fights for the submission. When Techniques doesn't give up, Bisley lets go and flattens him with a rolling solebutt to the face. He then takes Techniques, runs and tosses him through the ropes to the apron. Techniques starts to pick himself up before Bisley runs over into the corner and knocks him to the floor with the Ace Kick (triangle enzuigiri)! Kris Cruise: Down to the floor goes TJ! Stephy Auger: That kick caught him right in the temple. He’s lucky he’s not out. Bisley grips the top rope with both hands as he impatiently waits for Techniques to get into position. Once Techniques gets back up, Bisley knocks him down with the Highlight of the Night (shooting star plancha)! Stephy Auger: That moves lives up to it’s namesake, Cruise. It truly was the highlight of the night! Kris Cruise: Bisley is bringing out everything against TJ! That’s not a move we see often from Bisley. Stephy Auger: That let’s you know just how badly he wants it! He needs this, Cruise. He needs it arguably more than anyone else in this field! Techniques gets rolled back inside. Bisley then hops back onto the apron before waving Techniques up. Once Techniques gets back to his feet and turns around, Bisley delivers a springboard lariat that sends Techniques over onto his back. Bisley quickly heads towards the side of the ring, flips back and connects with Corazón de Zorro (lionsault to a face-down opponent's back)! Techniques gets pulled over for the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Techniques gets the shoulder up. Bisley pulls up Techniques, takes control of his back and brings him down with the Techniques Killer Combo (two rolling German suplexes followed by a release Dragon suplex)! NO! After the two German, Techniques hits Bisley with four back elbows to the face, turns around and brings Bisley down with a leaping reverse STO! Kris Cruise: TJ just drove Bisley face-first into the mat! That’ll stop your momentum in a heartbeat! Stephy Auger: Get up, Mark! Get up! Don’t let him beat you! Don’t let someone else deny you of what’s rightfully yours! Both grapplers stir on the mat before picking themselves up. Techniques strikes first as he runs over and knocks Bisley down with a clothesline. Bisley returns to his feet before getting brought down with another running clothesline. Bisley is then sent for the ride. Bisley returns off the rebound before getting knocked down with a rolling thunder clothesline! The cheers continue as Techniques makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Bisley gets the shoulder up. Kris Cruise: TJ nearly knocked the wind out of Bisley with that last clothesline, but Bisley still got his shoulder up in time! Stephy Auger: Hang in there, Mark! Techniques goes for an irish whip before Bisley reverses. Bisley goes for a back body drop off the rebound, but Techniques slips down from behind and pushes him into the ropes. When Bisley returns, Techniques brings him down with a Spanish Fly before following up with a standing Mariposa! The cheers continue as he reaches back and hooks the near leg. ONE! . . TWO! . . NO! The crowd sighs when Bisley gets the shoulder up. Techniques pulls Bisley back to his feet before dropping him with Let The Rhythm Hit 'Em (Phenomenal Blitz)! Techniques then sets up shop in the corner. Once Bisley gets back to his feet and turns around, the crowd cheers when Techniques runs over and drops him with Set 'Em Straight (Busaiku Knee Strike)! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! The crowd cheers as “Step into a World (Rapture’s Delight)” plays over the PA. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this bout… TJ TECHNIQUES! The cheers continue as Techniques gets his arm raised in victory. Kris Cruise: TJ Techniques knocks off Mark Bisley in what some might call an upset, Stephy. Stephy Auger: Upset? A FLUKE is more like it! Kris Cruise: Oh come on now! Stephy Auger: No, I mean it! You run that match 10 times and 9 times out of 10, Mark Bisley is getting his hand raised! TJ is lucky that tonight is that 1 time out of 10. But it’s okay, though, Cruise, because his luck will run out in the next round! Kris Cruise: That remains to be seen. With that win, our semifinals for the 15 Championship are set. On one side of the bracket, we’ve got Antoinette taking on Mark Storm! On the other side, TJ Techniques will face off against Laura Perelli! TAG TEAM MATCH Strike 2 Kill vs. Saturnian Connection As the lights in the arena begin to dim, purple strobe lights shine from the stage and emerging from the back are Strike 2 Kill. Both men stand on the top of the entrance ramp with a look of ruthlessness about them, they look at each other, nodding heads and fist bumping, before making their way down to the ring. Lingering behind them is their Manager, Gregory Murphy, who has a slimy grin on his face as he swaggers down the entrance ramp after them. J.A. Aldridge: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall! Making their way to the ring at a total combined weight of 351 pounds! They are the team of Liam Richardson and Miles Watson... STRIKE 2 KILL! Once they reach the edge of the ring, both men leap onto the apron and climbing onto the top ropes of either side of the nearest turnbuckles, posing for the fans who applaud in appreciation. Kris Cruise: Up next we’ve got Strike 2 Kill making their tag team debut here in FGA. Tell us a little bit about these two, Stephy. Stephy Auger: Well, like Mark Storm, they’re also managed by Gregory Murphy. As apart of the Heroes for Hire collective, they’re looking to “cleanse” FGA and make this a better promotion. We’ll see how well that goes for them. J.A. Aldridge: Their opponents, already in the ring... The Saturnian Connection! Nando walks to the far corner of the ring, leaning out, motioning directly to the camera that “I’m watching you” while Clay sways out-of-focus behind him, gaze steadily skyward. The bell sounds as Richardson and Fresno start things off with a lockup. Richardson starts to muscle Fresno across the ring before throwing him down with an arm drag. Fresno quickly returns to a vertical base before running over towards Richardson. Richardson quickly hits a leapfrog. Fresno hits the ropes, returns and gets brought down with a drop toe hold. Richardson rolls across Fresno's back and applies a grounded side headlock. Before he can get the hold locked in tight, Fresno slips out and reverses into a grounded hammerlock. The ref asks Richardson if he wants to give up. Richardson refuses. After battling back to a vertical base, Richardson spins out and reverses into a hammerlock of his own. He then quickly spins Fresno towards him before bringing him down with a scoop slam. NO! Fresno reverses and brings Fresno down with an arm drag. Fresno keeps an underhook on the arm. After Richardson declines another chance to quit, he fights his way back to his feet, takes his free arm and uses it to move Fresno into the near ropes before pushing him off into the far ropes. Fresno returns off the rebound and ducks an elbow before continuing to run the ropes. He then returns off the rebound and ducks another back elbow before continuing to run the ropes. When Fresno returns, Richardson scoops him up across his shoulders. He then turns towards the Strike 2 Kill corner, rushes over and executes a rolling fireman's carry before hitting a springboard moonsault off the middle rope. NO! Fresno rolls out of the way, but Richardson's able to land on his feet. The Alien Hunter runs over and throws out a running roundhouse, but Richardson ducks and hits the ropes. Watson makes the blind take before Richardson returns off the rebound. Fresno tries for a back body drop, but Richardson slips down from behind and spins Fresno towards him before Strike 2 Kill delivers a springboard dropkick/reverse STO combo! The cheers continue as Watson pulls Fresno over for the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Fresno kicks out. Kris Cruise: Nice timing there by S2K. Watson picks up Fresno and delivers an arm wrench. After a second arm wrench is delivered, Fresno quickly reaches over and reverses into an arm wrench of his own. Watson then rolls forward, bridges back, spins over onto his knees, flips over with a headstand, cartwheels over, stomps of Fresno's foot to break the wristlock before kicking him down to a knee with an enzuigiri. Fresno rises back to his feet, but Watson is right there to knock him down with a handspring elbow. He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Fresno kicks out. Fresno reverses an irish whip, sending Watson into the ropes. When Watson returns, he gets knocked down with a dropsault. Watson returns to his feet before getting brought down with a running hurricanrana. The Alien Hunter takes Watson and whips him into the corner. He then runs across the ring, leaps over and connects with a Stinger Splash! NO! Watson slips out of the way, causing Fresno to crash into the corner. Fresno stumbles back before Watson throws him down with a bridging German Suplex. ONE! . . TWO! . . Fresno gets the shoulder up. Watson then picks up Fresno, scoops him up from the side and delivers a backbreaker hold before Richardson comes off the top with a diving knee drop. The cheers continue as Richardson kneels down before Watson delivers a corkscrew neckbreaker across the knee. Richardson heads back out to the apron and gets tagged back in. He then steps back into the ring, takes Fresno and whips him into the S2K corner. Watson and Richardson then head towards the corner and catch Fresno with Strikezone (running arched big boot from (Richardson)/Enzuigiri (Watson) combo)! Richardson pulls Fresno out of the corner and lifts him up before S2K bring him down with a spinebuster/blockbuster combo! Watson gets back to his feet, runs over and pushes Clay off the apron. He then heads back over before S2K drops Fresno with The End of Days (Chasing the Dragon)! Richardson makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! The crowd cheers as “Arsonist Lullaby” hits the speakers. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this bout... STRIKE 2 KILL! The cheers continue as Murphy raises S2K’s arms in victory. Kris Cruise: A pretty routine win there by the debuting S2K! The slide for SatCon continues as they come up short in this one. Stephy Auger: I don’t think the result of this one was ever really in doubt. But we’ll see how well S2K fairs next times. It only gets tougher from here, Cruise. • COMMERCIAL BREAK •

FGA 15 CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT (SEMIFINALS) Antoinette vs. J.A. Aldridge: The following contest, scheduled for one fall with a 15 minute time limit, is a semifinal match in the 15 Championship Tournament! Kris Cruise: Alright, Stephy, we are back with our first match of the semifinals in this 15 Championship tournament. Out first is Mark Storm. Stephy Auger: Storm is just two wins away from becoming not just the next 15 Champion, but the latest two-time 15 Champion. Kris Cruise: That’s right. Storm has held that title before and he’d love to hold it again. But his opponent isn’t going to make this easy for him. She looks down at the candy on her wrist, tossing it into the crowd as they cheer. J.A. Aldridge: His opponent, hailing from Durham, North Carolina! Weighing in at 121 pounds... ANTOINETTE! As she makes her way down the ramp, she approaches the ring as she climbs up the ring apron she stands up and removes her sparkly jacket tossing it to the side as she enters. Once she’s in the ring, she bounces up and down, screaming out to the fans who encourage her before playfully slapping hands with the ref as she awaits the start of the match. Kris Cruise: Champ Ant is ready, Stephy. She would love for nothing more than to walk out of tonight’s show holding one belt across one shoulder and the 15 Championship across the other. This woman has really dedicated herself to the craft of professional wrestling and has put in the work. Stephy Auger: I’ll give the annoying little bugger this. She has improved. Okay? She has. But has she improved enough to beat the likes of a Mark Storm? I don’t think so. The bell sounds as Antoinette and Storm start things off with a lock up. Antoinette gains the advantage with a side headlock before Storm brings her down with a belly to back suplex. NO! Antoinette rolls over the shoulder, lands on her feet, spins Storm towards her and brings him down with a side headlock takeover. Storm quickly reverses into a headscissors before Antoinette escapes with a kip up. Storm scrambles back to a vertical base before Antoinette knocks him down with a dropkick. A second dropkick returns Storm to the mat. She then takes Storm and whips him into the ropes. Storm returns off the rebound before Antoinette brings him down with a hip toss. NO! Storm steps through it and reverses with a hip toss of his own. NO! Antoinette blocks, steps through and brings him down with an arm drag. A second arm drag returns Storm to the mat. Antoinette then rushes over and executes a running hurricanrana, sending Storm rolling across the ring. Antoinette hits the far ropes. Antoinette comes back and gears up for a strike, but Storm quickly drops to the floor and rolls to the outside. Kris Cruise: Storm was quick to slam on the brakes and listen to this crowd, Stephy. A lot of them aren’t liking what they just saw out of him. They wanted to see Antoinette continue to pour on some more offense. Stephy Auger: Well what do they expect him to do? Just stand there and let Antoinette hit him over and over? That’s not how this works. Storm gathers his bearings as he kills a little time on the outside. Gregory Murphy is quick to head over and talk strategy with his client. Once a course of action has been agreed upon, Storm climbs up to the apron and steps back into the ring. He starts to circle the ring before heading over to Antoinette and locking up. Storm is quick to use his strength advantage to muscle Antoinette across the ring into the corner. Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! Both grapplers make a clean break. Storm continues to look at the official before quickly hoisting Antoinette up to a seated position on the top turnbuckle. The crowd gasps when he quickly follows up with a dropkick, sending Antoinette tumbling over the top turnbuckle to the floor! Kris Cruise: OH NO! Stephy Auger: I know that hurt! Storm heads into the far corner while Antoinette tries to pick herself up on the floor. He then runs across the ring before knocking her down with an over-the-corner slingshot into a springboard moonsault on the outside! Kris Cruise: The high risk pays off for Storm! He just wiped out Antoinette on the outside! Storm brings the match back inside before whipping Antoinette into the ropes. Antoinette returns off the rebound before getting brought down with a flapjack. Storm returns to his feet and places Antoinette in an Ankle Lock. Kris Cruise: Storm goes for the ankle lock! Stephy Auger: That’s smart. She’s quicker than he is. She’s more agility. But she can’t do all of that flying around with a bum wheel. Antoinette yells out in pain while Storm twists the ankle. The ref asks her if she wants to give up. Antoinette refuses, but Murphy is on the outside trying to get her to tap. Storm is also telling her to tap. But she won't give into the pressure. So Storm starts to crank away at the ankle. "LET'S GO ANT!" "LET'S GO ANT!" "LET'S GO ANT!" "LET'S GO ANT!" The crowd solidly starts to get behind Antoinette. After turning down another chance to quit, she pushes herself up onto her hands before rolling forward, breaking the hold and sending Storm crashing into the corner. Antoinette gets back to her feet and runs over to attack, but Storm turns her away with a boot to the face. Antoinette staggers away from the corner while Storm steps out to the apron. When Antoinette turns around, Storm knocks her down with a springboard missile dropkick! NO! Antoinette rolls out of the way, causing Storm to whiff on the kick and land hard on the mat. Kris Cruise: Ant got out of the way just in time! Antoinette runs over and knocks Storm down with a leg lariat. Storm returns to his feet before getting returned to the mat with another leg lariat. Antoinette then rushes over and executes a running hurricanrana, sending Storm through the ropes to the floor. She then heads out to the apron. When Storm picks himself up, she rushes across the apron before giving him another running hurricanrana, sending him flipping off the apron to the floor! Kris Cruise: Ant’s on fire right now! She has turned the tables on Your Hero and Mine! Stephy Auger: Gregory Murphy is beside himself! Antoinette rolls back inside and starts waving her arms up and down to hype up the crowd. She looks out and sees Storm starting to pick himself up. She she hits the far ropes, runs back across the ring, leaps through the ropes and knocks Storm back against the guardrail with a suicide dive! Kris Cruise: Ant connects with the dive to the outside! Antoinette slips back into the ring before taking off into the far ropes. She picks up speed as she runs back across the ring before knocking Storm back against the guardrail with another suicide dive! Antoinette rolls back into the ring and starts scaling the turnbuckles. The crowd cheers when she leaps off and knocks Storm down with a missile dropkick to the outside! Kris Cruise: Ant’s done it again! Another high risk moves connects for the title hopeful! Stephy Auger: She’s playing a dangerous game by constantly going to the high rent district. Sooner or later, she’s going to crash and burn. Storm gets rolled back inside. Antoinette then rolls back in and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Storm gets his foot on the bottom rope. Antoinette takes Storm and whips him into the corner. She then runs over and jumps on top of Storm before bringing him out of the corner with a monkey flip. Antoinette then makes her way out to the apron before climbing the turnbuckles. Once Storm gets back to his feet, Antoinette leaps off and brings him down with the Flying Ant (diving crossbody)! NO! Storm rolls through it. He then keeps Antoinette held in his arms as he gets back to a vertical base. Storm then hoists Antoinette up, catches her on his shoulders and throws her down with an elevated powerbomb! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! The crowd cheers when Antoinette gets the shoulder up. Stephy Auger: How in the hell was that not three!? That should have put her away! She’s still got some fight left in her! Stephy Auger: Don’t worry, Storm will stomp out whatever fire’s left in her in short order. Storm takes Antoinette and sends her for the ride. He goes for a kitchen sink off the rebound, but she flips over the knee and counters with a schoolboy! ONE! . . TWO! . . THR-NO! The crowd sighs when Storm kicks out. Kris Cruise: Ant nearly caught him! Both grapplers return to their feet. Storm is the first to strike as he turns Antoinette inside out with a lariat! He then hoists her off the mat from the prone position before bringing her down with a deadlift gutwrench sitout powerbomb! ONE! . . TWO! . . THR-NO! Antoinette is met with cheers and applause when gets the shoulder up. Storm slaps the mat out of frustration. Kris Cruise: Antoinette continues to fight! That was a hell out of a powerbomb from Storm. It should’ve knocked the wind out of Ant. It should’ve knocked her out cold! But this young lady continues to fight! She's really impressing me here tonight. Stephy Auger: Stay focused, Storm. Stay focused! Storm picks up Antoinette and lifts her up onto his shoulders. He's got Antoinette set up for Heroes End (One Winged Angel), but Antoinette fights back with punches to the top of the head. The cheers continue as she slips down from behind and counters with the Sugar Crash (Backstabber)! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . TH-NO! Storm gets the shoulder up.
