Sparrow: Congratulations, Logan. No one deserved it more brethren.

Exhaustion.

Sparrow’s face reads only complete and utter exhaustion.

There’s only one championship hanging on his shoulder, down from being the fifth member of an elite club of double champions of FGA. The FGA 15 title still remains. He’s still wearing his ring gear even after the two-night show has come to an end. Regret is written all over his face. Regret of making a bet, the regret of allowing one of the prized championships to slip from his grasp. All because he couldn’t stop himself from wanting to entertain the fans.

All he can do is stare ahead in the locker room, idly glancing at the FGA 15 championship on his shoulder every so often. Off-camera, the door opens and for a moment the West Indian Whirlwind looks entirely hopeful. Hopeful that it could be anyone else but her.

Unfortunately? It is very much Caroline Dallins standing in the doorway. She eyes him up with amusement as his face goes from cautious optimism to complete disdain. His eyes slowly lower and he glances down at the floor, in the sincere hopes that ignoring Caroline will make her go away.

Not the case.

Caroline Dallins: Not how you thought this would go, was it Baby Bird?

Sparrow’s eyelid twitches slightly. That name is grating on him. The former multi-time world champion knows it. She does not care. It only serves to make her grate him further. The little reactions he flashes entertain her, they make her laugh. At least judging by slight twitches of the corner of her lips that turn to slow grins. He raises his head as though he wants to say something slick but simply turns his head from her. Caroline takes a few steps forward, personal space be damned.

Caroline Dallins: You gon’ learn. I promise that much. All this shit you do, everything you are...Nah. It won’t stand. Not for any longer. No, I’m going to do the absolute most to make sure that the Sparrow everybody knew is a thing of the past. Look at you. You should have had that match. Bisley? Alexander? Should have been easy goddamn clean-up on both ends. Jesus man if you would’ve told me Harris could take up an hour of the show just talking about the match before it happens. Anyway, two necks, one line, no waitin’. Should have been yours. What happens instead? No way, nnnnoooooo way. That’s you? That’s what you wanna be Baby Bird? Nah, I won’t have it.

Sparrow’s eyes continue to look away from her. He wants to pretend he’s ignoring her. The way his jaw clenches says otherwise.

Caroline Dallins: I can teach you to be great. I can teach you to reach glory and this time? This time you have no choice but to listen. You can hate me, shit you can resent me. Like I could give a fuck; you will be thankful for me by the end of this though. They all were. Eventually. I should just stop wasting my time, manage Perelli instead. However, I guess I care too much.

Sparrow: Cap.

Caroline Dallins: Cap. Cap? Do y’all little gits just choose something in the crib and call it slang these days? Cap. What if I walk around saying ‘faucet’ when I’m hungry, or ‘plug’ when something is hilarious. The fuck is cap, really? It’s whatever. Call it what you want, say whatever...I’ve come to make you great, even if it kills you, Baby Bird.

Sparrow: I been in it with worse, so many times yes. You ain’t gon’ see the dub at the end of this, Caroline. Trust, as they does say.

Caroline Dallins: That is how I know you ain’t done your homework! You can hold an L all from now because I always win in the end. Every. Single. Time. Look me in the--LOOK AT ME.

Sparrow’s eyes finally focus on his brand new manager. She looks right back at him with a mad smile, going as far as booping him on the nose with a single nail. No respect. Not even an ounce for how far he’s come before she even came into the picture.

Caroline Dallins: I have plans for you. I do. As God as my witness, I will see to it that every ounce of weakness, every drop of this sorry bullshit ‘let’s give these fuckneck fans the best show possible’ attitude is beaten out of you. If it is the very last thing I do. If I gotta do like Reed did the boy Techniques, I will.

For a moment the veteran wrestler considers her next words carefully. Then she smiles and her eyes fall back on Sparrow.

Caroline Dallins: Your career is in my capable hands now, little brother.

For a moment Sparrow’s fingers clench. He doesn’t spare a glance at the camera in the room, focusing full attention on Caroline. He processes on how to even act. Eventually? He stays still as stone, save for his right fist-shaking from nails dug in. He quietly mouths to his new manager something laden with expletives.

She only smiles at him and turns her back to Sparrow, leaving him to stew in the locker room.

With the second night of All Star Showdown having come to a close, Logan Alexander and Theodore Harris are making their way to one of the backstage exits of the Addition Financial Arena. Theodore is still dressed in his suit from earlier, while Logan has changed into a pair of blue jeans, black t-shirt and blue jean jacket as well as a fresh cloth mask on his face. Logan also carries a duffle bag over his right shoulder. From the distance, a familiar voice calls out.

Amanda Johnson: Theodore!

The pair pause and there is an almost resigned slump of Theodore’s shoulders before the pair turn towards the approaching Amanda Johnson.

Amanda Johnson: May I have a word with you and Logan?

Theodore offers a forced smile to her.

Theodore Harris: Of course Amanda. We’re always willing to give you time unlike some other individuals here. So, where would you like to begin tonight?

Amanda Johnson: First, I’d just like to offer my congratulations to Logan for his…

She pauses, noticing Theodore seeming to wince at her words. Even the ever stoic Logan appears to be discomfited by them. She glances at them in turn.

Amanda Johnson: Is something wrong?

Theodore sighs and glances towards Logan briefly, before looking back at Amanda.

Theodore Harris: Being congratulated for what happened out there tonight.

He holds up one hand towards Amanda, getting her to hold off on asking the obvious follow up question.

Theodore Harris: Yes, Logan did come through and got the victory in the second fall. He has become FGA Legacy champion. And yes, immediately after the bell rang and he was announced as the winner of that fall out there, I did want to celebrate. It was a breakthrough moment for Logan as a single’s competitor in FGA. It’s his first concrete accomplishment here as a solo wrestler.

He lets out a breath.

Theodore Harris: But we know it’s not what we were aiming for tonight.

He glances towards Logan, frowning slightly now.

Theodore Harris: And more than that, neither of us really feels like he deserved that win out there.

Amanda Johnson: What do you mean?

Theodore looks back over at Amanda.

Theodore Harris: Logan spent most of the match trying to play catch up against Sparrow. Mark Bisley wasn’t as much of a challenge for Logan in the ring. Logan came out ahead in most of their head to head encounters. Against Sparrow though… It was like Logan lost ground against him with every exchange. A lot of people don’t seem to take Sparrow seriously in the ring, or view him as a credible threat to them. We went into that match knowing that Sparrow was a legitimate challenge for Logan… and he still was able to surprise us and take Logan off guard at several points.

He holds up one hand and ticking off the various instances with his fingers.

Theodore Harris: There was that string of pin attempts at the beginning of the first fall. There were several exchanges during the second fall where Sparrow would just take the momentum from Logan with seeming ease off of counters. He even managed to put Logan his own signature hold. And there was that first Notorious Kick… That was something neither of us ever anticipated would happen. A double foot stomp onto a bridging suplex attempt? That’s insane to contemplate… But he did it. The second Notorious Kick landed after that and I was worried that Logan wasn’t going to get back up from that at all..

Theodore lifts his hand and rubs over his chin.

Theodore Harris: The first fall ended there and the second fall was an uphill climb from there. Logan managed to hang in against them, but he wasn’t truly competitive beyond one burst of offense against Bisley before Sparrow cut him off again.

He lowers his hand and shakes his head.

Theodore Harris: It was only at the very end that Logan was able to do to Sparrow what Sparrow had been doing to Logan for the entirety of the match, use a timely counter to hit a big move and it turned out to be enough to get the pinfall.

He shrugs slightly as he holds his arms out slightly to either side, seemingly at a loss for what else to say.

Theodore Harris: I’m not going to lie and play this off like it was a display that showed why Logan should be a champion here in FGA. This match didn’t go the way we had expected or even hoped it would. We got lucky. The moment of victory was more of relief than triumph. It was a very humbling experience and not anything worth celebrating Amanda. Sparrow was the better man out there in almost every way.

Amanda Johnson: I see.

There is a long pause between them before Amanda breaks the silence.

Amanda Johnson: So, where does that leave you two going forward?

Theodore lets out another breath,

Theodore Harris: We tend to our wounds, reflect on what happened and prepare ourselves for the road ahead. Logan has become a champion and now he’s going to have to work to be worthy of that title. And somewhere down the line, Logan’s going to have to face Sparrow again. We need to be ready for it. He needs to prove that he can defeat Sparrow and not merely survive the encounter and sneak away with a victory.

He trades another look with Logan before regarding Amanda once more.

Theodore Harris: So, if you’ll excuse us Amanda, we’ve got some work to do.

She nods to him.

Amanda Johnson: Of course.

With that, she backs away from them, allowing Logan and Theodore to continue on their way.

*following the main event of All Star Showdown Night 2*

When the day ever came, she’d always assumed she’d be devastated; upset even. She’d been at the top for so damn long that anything else would probably feel borderline… unnatural. But she understood that it wasn’t a birthright or anything that she was entitled to; nor did she ever see her position as such. It was something that she’d worked incredibly hard for. No one knew of the struggles or the inner demons that she’d faced along the way and many didn’t care to acknowledge the ugly truths that she’d exposed over time; the systemic boundaries and limitations that she had to overcome to get to where she was. No one cared about the journey. All they ever cared to acknowledge was the destination and the fact that she’d arrived; and as long as she’d made it there, then the bumps in the road, the closures, and the detours couldn’t have possibly existed because, hey, she made it, right? 

Such was being black in America.

But deep down, Cordelia always knew that there would be a day where she’d have to relinquish it all, whether willingly or by force. It was just the nature of the business and her position was no different than anything else in the world. It was finite.

Eventually, all things came to an end.

However, Cordelia was confident that what she’d done; what she’d been able to accomplish and even more than that, what she’d been able to expose would be remembered for a very long time and it would be the much needed groundwork and foundation to perpetuate and inspire change, not only in FGA but in the business in general. It was this confidence that had Cordelia at relative ease as she took what many would consider to be the long walk of shame that one endures after losing a championship match. She could feel the glares and she could sense the anticipation in them. She could almost hear each and every person triggering a countdown in their head to the moment she’d melt down. It wasn’t lost on her that this was the moment the world had been waiting to see; the moment that they’d all been anticipating. It brought her great joy to know they’d be greatly disappointed.

There wasn’t an ounce of shame in her.

Not from the result of the match or from any of her actions prior. Everything had simply been a means to an end, and there was absolutely nothing to regret, at least in Cordelia’s mind there wasn’t.

She could see Spencer Burke and the camera crew approaching out of the corner of her eye. There wasn’t a need. At that moment, she genuinely didn’t have anything to say. Before he could even utter a word, she waved him off, never breaking her stride. Spencer didn’t push the issue. She’d been more than courteous with her time over the years and he understood that she just needed a moment. Undoubtedly, the world would see the image of her walking by, turning Spencer away and would automatically assume that it was just her being salty. That was ok. That didn’t bother her. They could have that.

A soft smile lined her face as her nephew slammed into her, wrapping his arms around her thighs and hugging her tightly. The gesture she knew was meant to be a comforting one, moreso for him than it was for her.

“Hey.” she winced from the soreness, running a hand through the soft curls atop his head. “Chin up.” She commanded, cupping his chin and tilting his head up towards her. The glossy eyes that gazed up at her damn near melted her heart. “I’m fine.” She offered reassuringly.

And she was.

There was a long lingering gaze as he looked for any sign of insincerity. After spotting none, Corey finally nodded his head and wiped at a swelling tear.

“Let’s go get some ice cream.”

Those were the magical words that made everything alright in her nephew’s world. The look of worry quickly gave way to excitement as he detached himself from her legs and bolted back to share the news with her sister.

Trailing behind, Cordelia let out a soft sigh for she knew that there was still much work to be done, and it would be.

In due time, she’d be right back on their fucking heads.

The storm was yet to come.

*Previously recorded after All Star Showdown Night 1*

There is a commotion in the locker room considering the incident that closed the event. There’s mass hysteria with a few people walking about as if they’re chickens with their heads cut off. Even Spencer Burke is backstage moving with urgency because he has three particular targets he’s looking to interview and any of the three will do. The camera crew is following Spencer with hurried steps that echo through the halls as this is truly a journalist on a mission!

And the biggest source of the controversy has finally been located and this makes Spencer pick up his pace even further as Seth Iser was heading toward the parking lot with his luggage and it seemed like he was on his way out of the arena. Unlike the chaos that’s going on around him the veteran was moving at his normal pace rather than the full on sprint he had to be on when he hit the ring. He’s dressed in the same suit he was wearing when he ran down.

Spencer Burke: Hey! Seth! A moment!

There’s a hint of authority in Spencer’s voice as well as agitation. Something that makes the veteran let go of his luggage and turn on his heel to face the man calling out to him. He’s looking a little guarded after his stunt, palming his right hand into a fist though he leans back on the wall, an old practice so he won’t get jumped from behind and that’s a distinct possibility with how wanted of a man he is at the moment.

Spencer Burke: I would say congratulations on your victory earlier tonight but…

Spencer leaves that hang for a moment as Iser’s glare is on full display as he crosses his arms.

Spencer Burke: What the hell was that out there in the main event?

Seth doesn’t even flinch at Spencer, knowing the question was coming but he’s shaking his head.

Seth Iser: Don’t disrespect Stryker like that. Our match still happened and that’s as disrespectful to him as it is to me.

Spencer blinks for a moment not expecting that response from the veteran before nodding his head.

Spencer Burke: Alright, your match with Brian Stryker happened and you got the victory. It was your first match back from knee surgery. Did your body hold up?

Seth frowns for a moment before answering that question.

Seth Iser: The first blow in the ring from him was like a damn shockwave considering I haven’t had that sensation in a couple months. But as much as he tried…and as good as he was to prove me wrong, I proved that right now, I’m still better and I’m still getting a little better as I continue to overcome my own weaknesses.

Spencer then eyeballs the veteran further as he’s now gotten talking.

Spencer Burke: I’m going to again ask the question in regards to the main event Seth: What the hell was that?

Seth closes his eyes for a moment, relaxing his body language after the question escapes Spencer’s lips.

Seth Iser: A withdrawal.

He answers that almost immediately. Spencer looks at him a little confused. Seth’s face doesn’t lighten up in the slightest but after a momentary second he elaborates.

Seth Iser: Yes, that was a withdrawal. I’ve deposited a lot…given a lot to the wrestling industry. We’re also wired selfishly…wanting the deposits and withdrawals alike to be in our name when we do such a thing. I don’t have some noble reasoning behind doing it but remember what I said a couple of years ago? The issue with Izzy and I jumps outside of normal rules.

And there’s a protruding frown from the veteran as Spencer isn’t entirely satisfied with the answer.

Spencer Burke: You cost her the World Championship, Seth. That’s a pretty big withdrawal to me.

There’s on break on Iser’s face as he’s just stone faced toward the interviewer.

Seth Iser: Izzy and I, with how we are as personalities and with what has happened Spencer…we’re destined to be at each other’s throats in one form or another until I hang up the boots. That’s the price of breaking my best friend’s leg or me preventing her from reaching her ambitions. I’m not going to say all of why…but I’ll leave you with something since you have a right to an answer of some sort. And again, it isn’t a noble one. Just…a pragmatic one.

Seth’s glare isn’t righteous or fiery but rather…colder than the other side of the pillow.

Seth Iser: If I didn’t do what I did…I guarantee she will end my career later the moment I truly start to decline, Spencer. By doing it now…I prevent that opportunity from happening later…because our issue is bigger than any championship or champion’s pride. And I can face her on equal ground before that were to happen.

There’s even a half of a smile creeping onto Iser’s face as he states this.

Seth Iser: There’s still a chance my end plays out. I’m not a fool, Spencer. A fool and their career are soon parted after all…but I had to hurt her now…and in this way. That was the best way to get her attention…and make sure this damn issue is settled. It’ll be one less thing to worry about if I survive the experience.

The half smile is soon gone as he’s finishing part of his explanation. He leans forward slightly.

Seth Iser: We’ll settle it in London if I had to guess…and I’ve done a lot of horrible things in London at one point in my career. Things that made what I just did to Izzy tonight look…tame. She’ll want to end me in some form or fashion I don’t doubt that. And I’ll be looking to end this issue once and for all before it claims the rest of my career. The sins of what we’ve done to one another from title shots, schemes, Vincent’s leg, Two Falls of Honor which I still feel to this day…I wanted it to come to a head now rather then when I can’t pay the price.

A calmness does emanate from Seth after he says that last moment.

Seth Iser: And I accept what might happen to me no matter how it goes. She should be irate with what I did, anybody would be. Especially with what I’ve already done to her. But when she gets to my age…she’ll truly understand why. Not forgive me…no, we’ll never be at that point, but understand. With that, I’m going to take my leave, I’ll see you in the United Kingdom.

With that Seth turns on his heel and grabs his luggage. Spencer goes to instinctively ask one last question but digests that last sentence further before lowering his microphone and understanding not to press any further. He then departs with the camera man hoping to find the others to interview.

As the intro of "One Day Like This" by Elbow plays, a clip airs from Vertigo E30, from back in March of 2017, which shows Lowri Moss standing backstage. She is speaking on camera for the first time in FGA, ahead of her debut later that same night, although the audio has been omitted, so as not to clash with the music. After a couple of seconds, the video changes to the climax of that debut match, showing Lowri hitting Ian Cross with a Nos Da (Rolling Cutter), followed by a three count from the referee, to start off her FGA career with a win. Moving forward two weeks, to the next episode of Vertigo, we see another Nos Da, this time on Jason Hawk, followed by another three count, as Lowri makes it two for two in FGA, and it is at this point that the lyrics begin.

“Drinking in the morning sun
Blinking in the morning sun”

We transition to that year’s Only the Strong Survive, and Lowri’s first appearance in the Gold Rush Rumble; a Palo Alto (Corkscrew Roundhouse Knee Strike) from Sadie San Francisco knocks her off the apron, and to the floor, eliminating her from the match less than two minutes after she had entered it.

“Shaking off a heavy one
Heavy like a loaded gun”

Two months later, at All-Star Showdown VI, Lowri is in a seven man ladder match for the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship– her first title match in FGA. As she and AMIRA fight atop a ladder, NEON and Sadie San Francisco tip the ladder over, sending Lowri and AMIRA flipping off the ladder and crashing through two tables on the outside of the ring, putting an end to any chance either of them had of winning the match.

“What made me behave that way?
Using words I never say”

February of 2018, Vertigo E49, and in a three way dance that also featured Jaelynn Ramsey, Lowri blasts Sadie San Francisco with a Superkick, before then collapsing back-first across Sadie and hooking the near leg to finally, at the fourth attempt, win the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship– not just her first title in FGA, but also the first title of her career as a whole.

“I can only think it must be love
Oh, anyway, it's looking like a beautiful day”

Four months later, on Vertigo E56, the final of the United States Tag Team Championship Tournament concludes with Lowri and the then Neal Durden connecting with a Double Shining Wizard to Joey Perello, as Pendragon beat Reapers in Pride to become the inaugural United States Tag Team Champions, and Lowri becomes only the second double champion in FGA history.

In silly wrong, but vivid right”

Almost a year to the day from winning their first championship together, Lowri and Neal deliver a Double Shining Wizard to Ashlyn De Luca, ending The Chaotics historic reign as FGA World Tag Team Champions, and beginning a record-setting reign of their own.

“Oh, kiss me like a final meal
Yeah, kiss me like we die tonight”

From the main event of Vertigo E76, we see Lowri crash down hard across Tyler Storm with a 450 Splash, to win the Pride Championship, and become a double champion in FGA for a second time.

“'Cause holy cow, I love your eyes
And only now I see the light”

Last year’s Only the Strong Survive is up next, and in a rematch for the Pride Championship, this time it is Tyler Storm who crashes down across Lowri, with a Corkscrew Moonsault, to regain the title that he had lost seven months earlier.

“Yeah, lying with you half awake
Oh, anyway, it's looking like a beautiful day”

Later that same night, a triple threat tag team unification match ends with another Double Shining Wizard from Lowri and Neal, Anastasia Hayden being the recipient this time, as Pendragon beat the Hellcat Spangled Death Squad and Silk & Cyanide to unify the World tag team titles and the United States tag team titles.

“When my face is chamois creased
If you think I wink, I did”

Finally from last year’s Only the Strong Survive, three years on from her first appearance in the Gold Rush Rumble, and after having survived for a record-setting sixty-five minutes, Lowri’s second appearance in the Rumble ends with her last eliminating Evan Envi, to win the match and earn herself a shot at either the FGA World Championship or International Heavyweight Championship.

“Laugh politely at repeats
Yeah, kiss me when my lips are thin”

On the penultimate day of last year, in the International Heavyweight Championship match at All-Star Showdown IX, Cordy Stevenson catches Lowri in an O’Connor Roll, grabbing a handful of tights in the process, to retain her title and leave Lowri sat shocked and disappointed in the ring.

“'Cause holy cow, I love your eyes
And only now I see the light”

Fast forward to this past July, and Lowri last eliminates Izzy Anders to win a second consecutive Gold Rush Rumble, punching her ticket to the main event of All-Star Showdown X.

“Yeah, lying with you half awake
Stumbling over what to say
Well, anyway, it's looking like a beautiful day”

Now we come to the present day, to All-Star Showdown X, and to the main event for the Undisputed Championship between Cordy Stevenson and Lowri Moss. The referee signals for the bell, and the champion and challenger then proceed to circle the ring, before locking up and jockeying for position.

“So, throw those curtains wide
One Day Like This a year would see me right”

Highlights from the match are shown, the first of which sees Lowri flatten Cordy with a running bicycle knee strike to the face. She makes the cover, but Cordy gets her shoulder up at two.

“Throw those curtains wide
One Day Like This a year would see me right”

Cordy picks Lowri up off the canvas and immediately brings her back down with the Deadly Seduction (Rude Awakening). She makes the cover, but Lowri gets the shoulder up at two.

“Throw those curtains wide
One Day Like This a year would see me right, for life”

With Lowri in the supine position, Cordy steps through her legs, crosses them around hers and blows a kiss to her challenger, before turning Lowri over into a Scorpion Deathlock.

“Throw those curtains wide
One Day Like This a year would see me right for life”

Lowri drags herself forward. Cordy tries to keep her held in place, but Lowri continues to drag herself towards the ropes. She scratches and claws her way across the canvas, before eventually reaching out, and grabbing the bottom rope.

“'Cause holy cow, I love your eyes
(One Day Like This a year would see me right) And only now I see the light”

Cordy throws out a Rolling Elbow, which Lowri ducks. She then bounces off the ropes and catches Cordy with a Slice of Heaven (Springboard Enzuigiri). After Lowri makes the cover, Cordy gets her shoulder up at two.

“(Throw those curtains wide) 'Cause holy cow, I love your eyes
(One Day Like This a year would see me right) And only now I see the light”

Lowri doubles Cordy over with a boot to the midsection and pulls her into a front facelock. She lifts Stevenson up and plants her with the DNA Driver (Bloody Sunday). Lowri makes the cover, and Cordy gets her shoulder up just in time.

“Throw those curtains wide
One Day Like This a year would see me right”

Cordy flips through a running clothesline attempt from Lowri, rebounds off the middle rope, and drops Lowri with The Real Is Back (Springboard Cutter). She makes the cover, but Lowri fires her shoulder up off the mat, just before three.

“Throw those curtains wide
One Day Like This a year would see me right”

Lowri places Cordy in an inverted front facelock and brings her down with the Nos Da. She makes the cover, and Cordy gets her shoulder up at the very last moment.

“Throw those curtains wide
One Day Like This a year would see me right (For life)”

Lowri brings Cordy down with a bridging Tiger Suplex. She then turns Cordy over into the prone position before flipping over into a bridging double chickenwing.

“Throw those curtains wide
One Day Like This a year would see me right (For life)”

Cordy cries out in pain while Lowri fights for the submission. The champion refuses to give up though, so Lowri continues to pull on the arms, applying more pressure.

“Throw those curtains wide
One Day Like This a year would see me right (For life)”

Cordy kicks her legs in frustration, as she lies on the mat. Again she refuses to give up, and again Lowri fights for the submission. Cordy continues to yell out in pain, until finally she nods her head, and the referee calls for the bell.

“Throw those curtains wide
One Day Like This a year would see me right (For life)”

After letting go of the hold, Lowri rolls over and lies with her hands covering face, her chest heaving as the tears flow.

Now Lowri is on her knees, with the referee kneeling down to hand her the Undisputed title. She takes it from him, hugging her newly won championship tightly.

“So, throw those curtains wide

Lowri returns to her feet. She wipes the tears out of her eyes, as she takes in the scene, the capacity crowd cheering and applauding her.

Lowri heads over into the corner, climbs up to the middle rope and raises the championship high above her head, and as the music begins to fade out, it is on that image that the video comes to an end.

Filmed a few days after All-Star Showdown in New York City

The scene fades into the NYC apartment of Ace Voltage. The camera pans around the living room where we see Ace Voltage sitting on his couch looking at the camera with the Pride championship sitting on the coffee table in front of him. He is in a black t-shirt and jeans while wearing sunglasses.

Ace Voltage: To the FGA faithful, would I ever lie to you?

Ace chuckles to himself.

Ace Voltage: Bad question. Regardless, I did not lie to you when I said I would defeat Tyler Storm AGAIN. I have to give my respect to Tyler for our match at All-Star Showdown, but we all know the better man won. The better man walked out of that ring with this beauty right here.

Ace grabs the pride championship and puts it over his shoulder.

Ace Voltage: Once again, I proved to Storm and the world why I am the A champion around here, why I am the Main Event around here. Nobody can touch me!

Ace smirks and pats his championship.

Ace Voltage: How long have I been here? A couple of years? I am already making a hall of fame career in a couple of years while others couldn’t do it over a decade. And it’s actually nice for a change, to get the respect I DESERVE from the FGA office. It’s no surprise to see ratings up and merchandise sold when I am on the screen. It could be argued that Ace Voltage has single handedly made FGA the destination to be. We have wrestlers coming out of retirement to come face me, we have wrestlers jumping ship just to get a piece of the greatest Mid-Atlantic Legacy champ in FGA history. FGA is lucky to have me and you all are lucky to witness the greatness that is the Ace Voltage experience.

Ace smiles and takes off his sunglasses. He places his championship back onto the coffee table.

Ace Voltage: But I know what everyone is thinking. What is next for ‘ole Ace Voltage? Where does he go from here? Now that Tyler Storm is finally in my rear view mirror, the possibilities are endless. The Storm chapter is shut in the book of Voltage. Do I have other championship aspirations? Sure I do. But those can wait. I didn’t become the best Mid-Atlantic Legacy champ in FGA history by looking into the future too much. I plan on holding this beauty for a while.

Ace pats the championship.

Ace Voltage: Because in reality it doesn’t matter who is next. It doesn’t matter if someone comes out of retirement to face me, someone jumps ship or one of these losers on the FGA roster gets a shot. The outcome will be the same as it always has been. Ace Voltage showing the world that he is the best wrestler, the best pure grappler in FGA. That is not an opinion anymore. That my friends is a fact.

Ace gets up and starts walking around.

Ace Voltage: So please, FGA management. Give me your best opponent. Give me your best shot. Just like this championship, I have pride. I want to be a fighting champion because I know I can beat anyone on this roster. So, I’ll be waiting for my next challenge. But whoever it is, don’t get their hopes up. All that awaits them is a Thundersturck to the face.


Ace laughs to himself as the camera fades out.

It’s the night of Showdown night two and the scene opens up showing Antoinette slowly walking backstage. Dressed still in her ring gear from this evening, her face looks clearly disappointed and she’s holding on to the rose that was dropped on her from Tijerina. 

ANTOINETTE: Not my night…it just….wasn’t my night…

As her voice trails off as she walks down the hall, she stops in her tracks with the camera’s not taking focus off her. Looking at them, she paces back and forth before speaking out.

ANTOINETTE: There’s a lot going through my mind right now. Tonight could have been one of the biggest nights of my career had I done what I said I was going to do, and had been successful in that fatal four way….and fatal it was. Tonight was supposed to be my shot to go out there and prove to you all that this little Ant was a serious threat to this roster…but it didn’t happen like that, did it?

She lets out a sigh, before looking down at the rose in her hand.

ANTOINETTE: You win some, you lose some…they just never really fully prepare you to deal with how crummy it feels when you don’t do what you say you were going to do. But…one thing I learned in my years in this business is you can’t let loss define who you are. I may not have gone out there and walked out with the W…but I am pretty damn proud of my performance and what’s in store next. Julian got the best of us all tonight and nobody can take that away from him! But just because he got the win tonight doesn’t mean that I’m giving up. And who knows, maybe our paths will even cross again someday! But for now….

Antoinette sighs once more, before shaking her head out as she lifts the rose up to the cameras.

ANTOINETTE: For now it’s back to hitting training days and giving it more than my all because there’s a place for me at the top…tonight just wasn’t it…

Twisting and twirling the flower in her hand, she shakes her head and walks off as the scene fades out…
