ENTRANCE & ATTIRE
ENTRANCE MUSIC:
"Dance Away" by Damn Valentines
RING ATTIRE:
Red and black dragon mask; red tights with black stripes dripping down both outside legs in the shape of dragons; red boots; and red and black shoulder-length, "dragon-scaled" gloves. He also wears a sleeveless jacket during his entrance.
RING ENTRANCE:
The lights go out. A few seconds later, "Dance Away" by Damn Valentines plays, the lights go back on as soon as the lyrics are sung, and "El Dragóóóóóóóóóóón!!!" comes out as he is introduced by the lovely Maria, bathed in red spotlight. After exchanging looks and a nod with Maria, El Dragón makes his way to the ring followed by his manager.
Sliding inside the ring, El Dragón immediately takes to the turnbuckle and stretches both arms to either side before applauding the fans, randomly pointing at people and then at Maria, who climbs the ring after him. Finally, he jumps off the turnbuckle and back on the mat, stretches with the ropes' help, and assists Maria out of the ring before waiting for his opponent to get in the ring with him.

CHARACTER BACKGROUND
PERSONALITY:
Although this is clearly just Julian Tijerina with a different theme music and look, El Dragón pretends he is a different kind of person, approaching his matches with less pomp and theatrics and focusing more on his opponent with predator-like efficiency. He continues to blur the line between face and heel, as he uses whichever mindset gets him the victory, including spitting red mist in his opponents' faces. Armed with stiff kicks and graceful yet devastating submission holds, not to mention the alluring Maria by his side, El Dragón will put his all in that ring for the benefit of the fans but mostly to get gold around his waist. Either way, someone will get burned.
(On rare occasions when El Dragón can't help it, he will sometimes taunt his opponents by either blowing a kiss to them, which he also does whenever he can to his fan girls, or lying on top of the corner ring post ala Eddie Guerrero. Although one would assume he is well-versed in the lucha libre high-flying style of wrestling, which he is, he currently prefers to be slow and calculating, making his opponents suffer the sting of his lethal kicks.)
STRENGTHS:
1. Submission specialist, can switch from one hold to another with relative ease, can escape and counter most holds with relative ease
2. Stiff kicks are extremely lethal
3. The longer the match, the more dominant he becomes (see grappling style)
WEAKNESSES:
1. "Iron men" (big guys with tons of stamina) may be able to withstand him, if not nullify his entire game plan
2. Hardcore matches aren't his cup of tea: Can't counter a direct punch/elbow/knee/boot to the face; though "fire" matches may suit his current gimmick better
3. Tends to get outmaneuvered, outsmarted, by ring tacticians, especially his high-risk "spot" moves
TAUNTS/MANNERISMS:
1. The finger gun, usually before a move or finisher
2. Likes to rest on the ropes ala Eddie Guerrero to mock his opponents

El Dragón is a one-time FGA 15 Champion and a one-time FGA Pride Champion.
ADDITIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS HELD:
El Dragón is a one-time AXN World Heavyweight Champion, a one-time AXN Intercontinental Champion, a one-time NWA World Historic Middleweight Champion, a one-time CMLL World Heavyweight Champion, a three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, a one-time AAA Mega Champion, and a one-time WWL World Heavyweight Champion. Along with Karsten Greiser and Enzo Mazzaro as Empire United, he is a two-time IWGP Tag Team Champion and a two-time ROH World Tag Team Champion. Empire United also won NJPW's G1 Tag League and ROH's Tag Wars Tournament, both in 2010.
BACKGROUND:
There's no arguing against Julian Tijerina's handsomeness. The man is attractive, the very definition of a pretty boy, one whose features have been chiseled into perfection by the antiquated gods themselves. Everywhere he goes, he finds no trouble in catching people's attention, especially the women. Often, it's the women, and sometimes other men as well, who endeavor into getting noticed by him. It's a blessing whose effectiveness sometimes double into a curse.
From the way he looks to the way he dresses, it's pretty obvious Julian is affluent. He doesn't need to work hard to get what he wants, though his greed is sometimes enough motivation. Despite his wealth, he still finds it in himself to be spiritual, kind, and compassionate. Sometimes, he attributes this to having been brought up in a matriarchal environment, one wherein the dominant females walk the path of the nurturing mother. Other times, he blames meditation and gardening.
With being cultured comes Julian's intense fascination with the arts. He sees beauty in everything, even those the rest of the world has already given up on. He views the squared circle as a giant canvas on which he'll paint his greatest masterpiece for the fans. At the very least, he'll come out of the performance with a few gold souvenirs here and there. After all, gold is The Venomous Virtuoso's best friend.
Sixteen-year-old Julian debuted in 2006 at White Wolf Wrestling, staying with the company until 2009. While at WWW, he also competed for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre from 2007 to 2008, winning the NWA World Historic Middleweight Championship and CMLL World Heavyweight Championship, each once. He then had a short stint at Chikara before signing with Revolution Championship Wrestling after his contract with WWW was up. He stayed with RCW until 2014. He then competed in Ring of Honor for two more years before he signed with AXN. He also competed for New Japan Pro Wrestling, Asistencia Asesoría y Administración, World Wrestling Council, and Lucha Underground. He had his first run with Ring of Honor from 2010 to 2012. Julian joined AXN in early 2016, getting into a highly touted feud with Emily Scott before becoming the promotion's inaugural Intercontinental Champion and afterwards the AXN World Heavyweight Champion. He also sporadically appeared on Guerreros of Lucha where he became a God of War.
But that was "El Guapo" Julian Tijerina, who is currently missing in action after his face was ruined on the same night he lost the FGA Pride Championship. While that handsome son of a gun is sidelined, Maria brought El Dragón into the fold to avenge the fallen Pride of Spain, hoping that in El Guapo's absence, El Dragón will light FGA on fire!
