Liacouras Center Philadelphia, PA Brian Stryker vs. Thurston Thousand Oaks “Watch Me Burn" starts playing as Brian Stryker comes walking out from the back. Putting his hands on his hips, he looks around for a moment proudly as he makes his way down the ramp. He steps up the steel steps walking the edge of the ring as he holds the ropes for leverage as he flips himself over the top and lands feet first in the ring. J.A. Aldridge: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, hailing from Maui, Hawaii! Weighing in at 225 pounds! He is “The Experience” BRIAN STRYKER! He climbs up the turnbuckle and sits himself on the top rope and holds his arms out egging the crowd to get louder J.A. Aldridge: His opponent, from The West Side! Representing The California Crew… Thurston Thousand Oaks! TTO turns to the crowd and raises his arms in the air. Kris Cruise: Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Vertigo! I’m Kris Cruise. Joining me as always is my colleague, Stephy Auger! Tonight, we make our last stop on the road to Only the Strong Survive! We’ve got two big Six Man Tag Team Matches here tonight! We’ve got a Battle Royal to see who will be number 15 in the Rumble! Then, in our main event, it will be Izzy Anders going one on one with Chandler Scott for the first time ever. The winner of that matchup will receive the coveted number 30 spot in the rumble while the loser will be stuck entering first! But right now, let’s send it back to the ring were Brian Stryker will make his official return inside the squared circle. The bell sounds as Stryker and TTO start things off with a lockup. Stryker gains the early advantage with a side headlock until he’s shoved off into the ropes. On the return, the crowd boos when TTO knocks Stryker down with a shoulder block. He then turns and takes off into the ropes. Stryker returns to his feet with a kip up before leapfrogging over his opponent. TTO continues to run the ropes. When he comes back, Stryker brings him down with a running hurricanrana! TTO gets back to his feet before a boot to the gut doubles him over. Stryker then hits the ropes, comes back and brings him down with a rolling neckbreaker. The cheers continue as Stryker pulls TTO back to his feet before whipping him into the corner. Stryker runs in, connects with an elbow and follows up with a CCS Enzuigiri! He then takes control of TTO’s wrist and pulls him out of the corner before knocking him down with the First Stryke (arm twist/hook kick combo)! Stryker reaches down and slowly pulls TTO back to his feet before throwing him down with Stryke 2 (Leg-Hook Saito Suplex)! He then heads over and pulls TTO off the mat before whipping him into the ropes. When he returns, the crowd cheers as Stryker hoists him up before throwing him down with authority using Once in a Lifetime (Pop-up Spinebuster)! Stryker drops down for the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! J.A. Aldridge: Here is your winner, BRYAN STRYKER!

The camera fades into an empty locker room with only Ace Voltage sitting there. He is in his ring gear as he is prepping for his big 6-man tag match later. Next to him on both of his sides are two empty chairs that look ready to be sat in. Ace Voltage: So FGA, a 6-man tag match tonight? Ya know, I’ve never really been one to team with people. I’ve never really been that guy to rely on others to get work done for me. I don’t trust people easily and people don’t trust me very easily. So am I surprised to be here at the top of the show, alone? Haven’t seen Seth or Mark all day. Sure Seth and I sent some tweets but what does that even mean? Haven’t even heard from Mark since the announcement. Ace pushes one of the empty chairs over. Ace Voltage: Hell, I don’t even like Mark Bisley. The one interaction I had with Bisley? In last year’s Gold Rush Rumble and I did not enjoy that. But, at the end of the day, we’re here for the same reason. Myself, Mark and Seth all have one common goal tonight. Probably the only thing that we have in common. Ace pushes over the other empty chair. Ace Voltage: Seth Iser is one hell of a competitor though. Have to respect him. I’ll never forget him rooting for me against Fujiko. And now tonight, I get to team with him and take home that winner’s pay baby. Ace smirks as he rubs his fingers signifying money. Ace Voltage: I would even go as far as to say we are a dream team tonight. Ace gets up out of his chair. Ace voltage: We are three men on a mission. Three men with one common goal. Three men that will win tonight. Lowri Moss, Tyler Storm and Patrick Jones can have fun and frolic in the flowers but I don’t think they’re taking us as seriously as they should. All three great competitors but I just don’t think they have the grit to hang with us. Ace laughs to himself. Ace Voltage: All three of them… goodie too shoes. They won’t do what it takes to win. That is me and my team. And ya know what? I’ll even say that I will pin Tyler Storm once again in the ring tonight! Giving the fans a preview of what will happen at Only the Strong Survive. Because after my team and I win tonight, I will go on to Only the Strong Survive, become Pride champion AND win the Gold Rush Rumble. Ace kicks over his chair and starts walking to the door. Ace Voltage: And that my friend, is a damn guarantee. Ace leaves the room as the scene fades out. • COMMERCIAL BREAK •

Spencer Burke: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time is the FGA Legacy Champion...Mighty Sparrow.
The reigning champion emerges from off-camera with the pristine championship belt hanging around his waist. Sparrow’s already dressed for his match for the evening, tonight’s color theme being white with gold and black accents. White for his knee pads and boots, black wrestling briefs as far as one can tell behind the main plate of the Legacy championship and as always, a white snapback hat. Sparrow also happens to be wearing sunglasses (inside?) and brand new merchandise, a black shirt with a cartoon sparrow wearing sunglasses.
Spencer Burke: Where is your head currently at with the championship match between you and Ashley Sands?
The White Hat of FGA pushes his sunglasses up before slowly turning his snapback around from front facing to backward.
Mighty Sparrow: At Only The Strong Survive? It should go without sayin’ that I want everything that Ash can throw at me.
The Trinidadian wrestler uses one hand to unclip the championship belt around his waist to lift it upward for the camera to get a slow zoom in on as he speaks.
Mighty Sparrow: When match time comes, we lose all the talkin’ of who plays what end game raid, and how we can actually get Posey’s rig to rock more than Stardew Valley at a recommended setting. That’s for before and after. This right here is all that will be focused on and it’s all to the best goes the spoils, yes. Honestly, if I lose I’ll even put the belt around her waist myself if that’s fine with she.
Spencer Burke: Now do you feel like her and AMC’s most recent loss as Ashes to Ashes may have hampered her momentum?
The White Hat tilts his head forward as the lens zooms out to frame him and Burke together.
Mighty Sparrow: Wha? Bana, but what trouble is this? What kinda question is that!? First off ain’t Silk & Cyanide pull some chicanery on Ashes to Ashes in their match? In any case, that’s not indicative of Ashley’s singles career is it? Y’know? As a former FGA 15 Champion? Won by handing Laura her first loss here? It might be that she would like to have a title reign last a bit longer I suspect and how can I hate that? Regardless of what I want of course.
Spencer Burke: Well--
The Legacy champion shakes his head and stops Spencer short.
Mighty Sparrow: Do you want to know what stands out to me about this title every passing week, Spencer? Every passing week, show after show I realize that there are some strong names attached to this title. It holds up to the name of the Legacy championship.
Sparrow raises a hand and begins listing names off his fingers.
Mighty Sparrow: Izzy Anders. Fujiko Mine. Sadie San Francisco. Noelle Smith. Lowri Moss. Marlon Cure...I aint’t think I need to tell anyone that Ace is a strong name because even if I ain’t, the man would tell you himself. Lowri won the rumble last year, Marlon the year before that. So needless to say that this title...Is only a beginning. I know that Ashley would want to add she name to that list. Even though Mr. Harris would say that Logan would welcome a rematch with me, title or not...Well, this strap makes things more interesting ain’t? If...I successfully defend it that is.
The West Indian Whirlwind flashes a grin, fingers lifting to drum the top of his cap.
Mighty Sparrow: Because as much of a fun story as it might make to say I went the distance, survived Ash with title in hand and got some low, low number just to win it all...Well, that might be overlookin’ Ashley a bit and I ain’t wanna do anything like that. It’s tryna turn greatness into what could be a garbage showing for me. Like Los Luchadores...No show could ever be such a sin against humanity and the glory of lucha.
Spencer Burke: ...
Spencer decides to subsequently ignore Sparrow’s passing comment about a live action Canadian kids show about lucha libre superheroes. In the meantime the White Hat of FGA throws his championship up over his shoulder.
Spencer Burke: Sparrow tonight you have an opportunity with twelve other competitors in the ring tonight to secure a place as the 15th entry spot in the Gold Rush Rumble. Are you hoping to be victorious or does the placement in your first Rumble not matter that much to you?
Mighty Sparrow: The plan stay the same, Spencer. Most eliminations regardless of the number in an increasingly packed Gold Rush Rumble, with the likes of Brian Stryker throwing his hat in, Tapp tryna call his shot, mystery entrants abound...I might treat tonight like a practice for OTSS. Can you imagine what happens if someone else wins the battle royal tonight for that spot though? Imagine if Gareth wins. Gareth Prichard Jr, King of Failure himself.
The Legacy champion proceeds to clear his throat in a balled fist. He suddenly mugs the camera, smiling a little too wide, a little too relaxed, a little too easy. He even goes as far as giving a careless glance to nothing.
Mighty Sparrow: I don’t care for victories, except when I do. I want for nothing, except when I want something. I don’t always care, but when I do, I don’t really, but I still sort of do but not really. I sound like the Dos Equis guy commercials as narrated by Iwan Rheon with a case of indigestion. I’ve been listening. Watching. Staring as well as ten other sensory verbs. I don’t care though, because nothing matters. You’ve failed, I’ve failed, we’ve all failed for ice cream. I’m not content with how content you’re content at my content...ment.
Spencer Burke: You actually sound like Gareth. How long have you been practicing that?
Mighty Sparrow: Literally months. Spence, you ain’t understand man. Literally months just to get his cadence down. Anyway! Maybe it won’t be Gareth. Maybe it’ll be Savannah Star-Taylor-Star. Savannah already makin’ it clear that tonight she lookin’ out for sheself and no one else. NO ONE. ELSE. ...Speakin’ as one of those who don’t matter, I am glad she stated the obvious for all of us before match time. I might’ve got confused and thought this was one giant tag match!
Spencer stifles a small laugh there, as if expectant that Savannah may make him pay later.
Mighty Sparrow: Now maybe...Maybe here, tonight in the Liacouras Center? Sloan Talbot will be victorious and get #15! He will go on to win the Gold Rush Rumble just in time for his cement truck rental to clear so he can hide the bodies!
Spencer Burke: ...
Mighty Sparrow: ...
Spencer Burke: ...
Mighty Sparrow: ...
Spencer continues to stare at the Legacy champion expectantly, before he glances around as if expecting some pop culture sight gag that #KickZaddy prepared for this moment.
Spencer Burke: That last one wasn’t so much a joke was it?
Mighty Sparrow: If only.
Sparrow shifts his championship belt from shoulder to shoulder. He sniffs the air before tilting his head downward once more. The West Indian Whirlwind looks over the frames of his glasses at the camera.
Mighty Sparrow: Tonight in that battle royal, no matter who is in it, or who wants it more, I am going to knock off as many as possible. Just a taste of what I’m out for come OTSS. The game remains the same. Why? Because I am too fly at being too fly.
With that Sparrow nods at Spencer and walks off the shot.

It has been eons since the last time that the FGA faithful had heard the sounds of “Bad Dreams” by Phantogram. The crowd got to their feet in anticipation for the return of the most recent FGA Hall of Fame inductee. The opening percussion draws the audience into the familiar tempo. The lighting makes people smile, knowing that this wasn’t an entire farce. As Sarah Bartel’s vocals come in, the Mindkiller steps onto the stage to a loud flourish of cheers. It’s enough to make the Hall-of-Famer crack an embarrassed smile. She gives the audience a bow, humoring their tremendous response before she makes her way down the ramp. Clad in a dark blue dress and heels, Izzy Anders still looks the same as they last saw her, if only a little calmer in spirit. Though, she still retains the eyepatch that she so lovingly parodied from her archrival in HELL, Yamada Michiko. Once she gets up to the camera, she tugs it down and gives the folks at home a playful wink before putting back where it belonged. Kris Cruise: It has been three months, almost four, since we have last heard a peep of the Mindkiller. There have been rumors of her retiring, mostly started by Izzy herself, but I digress. Regardless, she’s here tonight and she looks-- Stephy Auger: Honestly, she could have stayed gone. She looks horrendous and-- Izzy stops Stephy with a look, having overheard her. Stephy stares at the Mindkiller, who approaches the commentary table and sits herself onto the edge of it. She reaches over to Stephy, who tries to react, but she gets caught by her cord. Izzy smiles as she unveils she was the culprit of Stephy’s failure and coils it around her wrist. Stephy, having no desire to get in range of the Mindkiller, drops the headset and puts her hands up in protest. Seeing that she has access to the microphone, Izzy adorns her head with the set and turns back to the audience. Izzy Anders: Don’t mind me, I’m testing to see if the commentary table’s right for me. Letting out a resounding laugh, Izzy turns her head to Kris. Izzy Anders: Should I just tease people or should I just call out the moves with my veteran experience? Kris shrugs with a cheery grin on his face. Kris Cruise: I’m fine with both. I think you’d do better than that blowhard over there. The two share a laugh before Izzy offers the headset back to Stephy. The fiery commentator inches closer before Izzy throws the headset up into the air. Knowing the fragility of the device, Stephy laughs forward to catch it. With a bewildered expression, Stephy stares kitchen knives at the back of Izzy’s head as the former Undisputed Champion enters the ring. As she gets close, Izzy reminds herself to grab a microphone--which she goes to get graciously from the stagehand nearby. Stephy Auger: Have I ever expressed how much I hate Izzy Anders? She’s a menace to society. She’s a jerk to everyone around her, and I also need to mention that she’s a pervert?! Kris Cruise: Disparaging statements aside, the Mindkiller has already shown us why she has become one of the mainstays of this company. With the changing of guard, the progression of new talent, and a new lay of the land, she’s a welcome source of nostalgia and she has a golden chance to put herself in a good position. Tonight, she faces Chandler Scott. Which by the way, is the FIRST TIME EVER that it’s happening. What a main event. Stephy Auger: Okay, so, I’m at an impasse. As much as I dislike Izzy, I don’t think I want Chandler, the Golden Hypocrite of FGA, to get the win either. God, I can’t stand this at all. Izzy steps to the center of the ring, where she waits for the crowd to die down. Her theme fades, which increases the volume of the audience that no longer had to fight against the PA system. Once they do, she goes to speak again, but a chant breaks out. “IZZY ANDERS!” *CLAP-CLAPCLAPCLAP-CLAP!* “IZZY ANDERS!” *CLAP-CLAPCLAPCLAP-CLAP!* “IZZY ANDERS!” *CLAP-CLAPCLAPCLAP-CLAP!* The Mindkiller proceeds to raise her hand and lower it, commanding the crowd to finally simmer down. They do so out of respect. From there, Izzy raises the microphone once more in her effort to speak. Izzy Anders: Wow, I guess you guys missed me or something? Make a girl feel loved! The crowd pops again. Izzy Anders: So, we’re in a fascinating situation. Tonight, I have the almighty pleasure of facing the currently disputed Ace of FGA, Chandler Scott. Did you all know that this was the first time ever for us? I mean, there was a little tag team match ages ago, but that’s old history. It’s actually irrelevant history. But as it stands, the match could be lined up with some of the top dream matches in our illustrious company, and I can’t be any more excited. Because well--this match has been on my shortlist of matches that I’ve wanted since I’ve stepped foot into this company. Izzy Anders: A little over five years ago, Chandler Scott said his first words to me and he decided it was nice to get my name wrong. In the same scope of time, he also said that I didn’t have a chance of winning the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship. Despite whatever Ace Voltage or Marlon Cure may say, I went on to make that championship the commodity it is today. It’s only now that someone has rivaled what I accomplished. But regardless of those facts, Chandler Scott didn’t believe in me. It took years for me to gain any sort of approval from the man. The audience did show their sympathy with some boos sent the Chandler of old’s way. Izzy Anders: Now, now, ever since then, we’ve had a mostly cordial relationship. Where I made a habit of calling him a douchebag every year. But once again, there has never been the thought of us fighting in the terrible management’s eyes until now. Okay, there was the time where I attacked him. Okay, there was the other time where he was injured beyond--what was thought to be--repair. There were a lot of circumstances that led to us not being able to fight each other until now, and I have a lot of pent-up aggression against that man! She stomped her foot on the mat to emphasize her comedic tone. Yet, when she relented from that, she took on a more serious countenance. Izzy Anders: However, the implications here are...different. You see, I’ve been playing with the idea of leaving wrestling behind. I was at home quite a lot, and I really thought about it. But then an idea crossed my mind. Perhaps maybe I can go win the Gold Rush Rumble, something I’ve never done before and be the one to stand against either Fujiko Mine or Cordy Stevenson-- Sharp boos rained down on the arena at just the mere mention of the FGA Undisputed Championship. Izzy Anders: How ironic that at one time the mention of her name by me would invite cheers, but what do I know these days? All I know is that number 30 is the key number here. Chandler would want nothing more than to get his rematch against Cordy or go to fight off against Fujiko. However, I can’t really just stand here and let him do that. Because in either scenario, I have a place and I haven’t had my chance in a while to go for the big gold at the tip top of the FGA mountain. With Carmichael behind me, I can refocus on doing what I wanted to do since I got here. Turning to the hard camera, Izzy’s face solidified with seriousness. Izzy Anders: I want to win the FGA Undisputed Championship and I want to do it right this time. Because when I put down Carmichael, I reminded myself that I’m Izzy Freakin’ Anders and I can’t let my past keep me down. Chandler’s the representation of that in many cases. He’s the man who stood as my ultimate test for so long. He mocked me. He berated me. He hated me. But he also would support me. He would root for me. But now, he has to fight me. There isn’t anyone else getting in the way. There are no hard feelings. It’s just what we both know. Izzy nods. Izzy Anders: It’s a fight between two Hall of Fame inductees. How about that? I want to win to finally get started on the next chapter of my wrestling career. But I got the main man of FGA standing in front of me. The Mindkiller, with determination on her face, started for the ropes, but she stopped with her head lowered. Her hair fell in front of her face, hiding what her face was displaying. Izzy Anders: But “main man” may not be irrelevant anymore, huh? Without another word, Izzy dropped the microphone and kept on her way up the ramp. She continued to hide her face, which left the crowd in a positive way, but a little befuddled by the ominous nature of her words.

Backstage, Spencer Burke stands in front of a Vertigo banner. He smiles politely, then and speaks up.
Spencer Burke: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time is the Apex Goddess, Fujiko Mine.
The crowd cheers loudly as Fujiko steps into the shot, accompanied by XENA. Fujiko looks a little disappointed as she approaches, taking the time to push up the sleeves on her jacket. XENA gives Spencer a friendly nod before returning to her scowl.
Fujiko Mine: Hey Spencer, it’s good to see you.
Spencer Burke: Thanks, Fujiko. Appreciate your time. You requested this time because you wanted to say some things?
Fujiko nods to Spencer, taking in a short breath before stepping in closer.
Fujiko Mine: Yeah. You’re clear to ask questions, but I won’t get many more opportunities to speak before Only The Strong Survive, so I thought I’d take this time.
Spencer’s brow furrows.
Spencer Burke: I’m assuming this is about the ranting on social media and the...less than kind words she said last Vertigo.
Fujiko clicks her tongue and winks.
Fujiko Mine: Bingo. See, Cordy’s not stupid. She says a lot of incredibly stupid things, but she does them for not stupid reasons.
Fujiko chews at her lower lip for a second.
Fujiko Mine: You see, Cordy calls me fake, she bobs and weaves verbally, and rants on twitter for a very specific reason. It's a distraction. Cordy leaps between giving me credit and saying that I’m ‘not on her level’ every other twitter rant. She acts like I am the representative of some conspiracy against her. When that fails, she pivots to claiming that I am just putting up a facade to ‘fool everyone’. She brought up the so-called “Renati incident”, and when that got debunked she tried to convince Nina Stokes that I was going to turn on her. When that didn’t work, she pivoted to try and say that I’ve never supported anyone...forgetting that while she called herself “Saint Sexy”...
Fujiko’s shoulders bounce.
Fujiko Mine: I created Fujiko Friday not just for myself, but for others. Self confidence for women, men, and gender rebels. Something that was seen as a weakness by others. Until of course, it’s more convenient that it’s forgotten completely. So when she “called it” on twitter, I knew she was going to ignore that. And those that need to stay on Cordelia’s good side will puppet and follow her.
Fujiko’s eyebrows raise and her lips purse.
Fujiko Mine: All of it is dumb. People who don’t know any better, or do but don’t want to suffer her wrath will side with her, but anyone who has learned who Cordy Stevenson really is can see what’s happening. Some might think that I was scared, or that I wasn’t responding because Cordy is ‘right’.
Fujiko turns and looks directly into the camera.
Fujiko Mine: She’s wrong. About it all. About me being fake, about me not being on her level, about her being the DNA of FGA, all of it. Cordy has been great for FGA. But so has Jimmy Page, so has Johnny Karma, so has Lowri Moss and Gareth Pritchard, Jr. Izzy Anders, Noelle Smith, Tyler Storm, Dan Hererra and Sean Sands. I could go on. But there are plenty on that list that turned their backs on FGA for the sake of themselves. I have done no such thing.
Fujiko closes her eyes slowly.
Fujiko Mine: She will try anything to rattle me. To try to act like I am who she currently is. The mirror is too heavy for Cordy to hold up. But it’s all noise. It’s noise meant to rattle me. And I'll admit, at first I was. I was annoyed that she was digging up long resolved and rested things. I was frustrated by her constantly tagging me on social media with her inane rants. I was reminded of Tj Jones’ old foes, and them going back and forth. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that engaging her on a minimal level was the most I would give her.
Fujiko looks up at XENA for a moment, then back at Spencer.
Fujiko Mine: She’s not going to stop. I’m fully aware that if she wins, she’ll paint history accordingly. She’ll paint me as the fraud she’s been claiming I’d been. She’ll use that to prove that she was ‘correct’, even though the match will really only prove who wanted the title the most.
Fujiko tilts her head to the side.
Fujiko Mine: And if I win, she’ll claim the fix was in. The referee was biased, the lights were in her eyes, or I cheated. She’ll claim victimhood. This is really the only difference that Cordy has shown from many others that have faced me in that she desperately needs me to embody what she herself has. She’s the one who has ‘never been there’ for anyone but those who are willing to bow to her. She’s the one who was so quick to turn her back on everyone once her ego was no longer stroked. I mean, listen to her during Afterburn when she downplayed the Pride and Legacy championships, then she goes to compete in the Quag cup. To be Cordy Stevenson now is to be a true hypocrite. And no matter how many times she points the finger at me? She’s just been going after her own reflection. Fortunately, I’m not here to play Cordy’s game. I am here to prove that Cordy is wrong about me not being good enough. I am here to prove that I can be FGA Undisputed champion. I am here to prove that I can be the best. I really don’t care how Cordy feels about that. I’m going to fight tooth and nail, I will defy Cordelia Stevenson’s claims that I am not good enough, and I will become the FGA Undisputed champion. And maybe, just maybe for a few minutes...that will shut Cordy up. That is the will of the Goddess, and my will…be done.
Fujiko nods to Spencer.
Fujiko Mine: Thanks, Spence. Appreciate you.
XENA nods in approval, and Fujiko offers a parting smile before she exits the scene.

TAG TEAM MATCH Ashes to Ashes vs. Heroes for Hire The opening guitar riff of "Warrior" by Skarlett Riot begins to play over the sound system seconds before the Hybrid Champion Ashley Sands walks out onto the stage. Pointing out to the fans all over the arena, Sands walks down to the ring. Once she gets down to ringside, and gets on the apron before climbing the turnbuckle from the outside. She nimbly climbs the turnbuckle from the outside to perch atop the top rope as she sits on her knees. J.A. Aldridge: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Bradley Beach, New Jersey... ASHLEY SANDS!!!! With her name being announced, Ashley holds both of her arms up as she lays back on the turnbuckle post behind her. Flashing from cameras going off all around her, Sands rolls forwards to flip down into the ring and land on her feet. "I Bring the Darkness (End of Days)" by Jim Johnston featuring Tommy Vext begins to play as the aisle way fills up with smoke. AMC rises up from the smoke in full face paint and is trying not to cough from all the smoke. ”Who do you think you are? You’ve now gone much to far!” AMC steps through the smoke and looks around at the crowd she then slowly walks toward the ring basically strutting with a smirk as she fist bumps some of the fans J.A. Aldridge: Her partner, hailing from Beverly Hills, California... Ashley Marie Chase, A! M! C! ”I bring the darkness! I am the thunder! I come from HELL And I’ll pull you under!” J.A. Aldridge: Their opponents, weighing in at a total combined weight of 255 pounds! They are the team of Mark Storm and Mitsuo Shimada… HEROES FOR HIRE! Storm heads over to his designated corner and hoisting himself up onto the second ropes, a smirk upon his lips as he holds his arms up. Shimada rolls into a lying position on the canvas, pointing up towards the stars. Kris Cruise: Alright, Stephy! We are back with our first of several tag team matches tonight. This one of the standard two on two variety as Ashes to Ashes take on Heroes for Hire! Ashley Sands has a big match coming up next week against Mighty Sparrow for the Legacy Championship! But that won’t be the end of the night for Sands. She’ll be pulling double duty as she’ll be one of the 30 participants in this year’s Gold Rush Rumble! Ashley Marie Chase will also be in the Rumble. Even though they both have individual goals heading into the pay per view, don’t think that Ashes to Ashes have lost focus of their goals as a team, either. They’re still gearing up for another run at the Tag Titles. AMC walk up the steps, taking a moment to wipe her feet on the apron before getting into the ring. AMC then drops to her knees in the middle of the ring and stretches out her arms and looks out toward the crowd. Ashley Sands and Mark Storm start things off for their respective sides. The two quickly engage in a lock up. Storm gains the advantage with a side headlock before performing a standing switch and transitioning into a hammerlock from behind. Sands tries to spin out and reverse, but Storm’s able to keep her held in place in front of him. After Sands turns down multiple opportunities to quit, Storm spins her towards him before throwing her down with a japanese arm drag. Storm quickly spins over and goes for an armbar. Sands quickly locks her hands together to keep Storm from hyperextending her arm. He repeatedly tries to yank back to break the grip. But Sands keeps her hands locked together. The last time Storm yanks back to try and break the grip, Sands uses his momentum against him by turning over into a modified schoolboy. ONE! . . TWO! . . Storm kicks out. Once both grapplers are back to their feet, Sands catches Storm in a side headlock. Storm then takes Sands and goes to counter with a belly to back suplex. Sands rolls over his shoulder, lands on her feet and brings him down with a reverse side russian legsweep. The cheers continue as she nudges Storm over to his back before making the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Storm kicks out. Kris Cruise: Quick nearfall there for Sands. We know that Silk & Cyanide will be challenging the Renegades of Funk for the Tag Titles at Only the Strong Survive. But both Ashes to Ashes and Heroes Never Die are trying to position themselvesto be the next in line for a shot. Stephy Auger: It doesn’t matter if it’s Heroes For Hire or Ashes to Ashes, the only thing they’ll be lining up for is a beating of a lifetime by the new champions after the pay per view, Silk & Cyanide. Sands pulls up Storm, wrenches his arm and drags him over towards the Ashes to Ashes corner before tagging Ashley Marie Chase in. Sands keeps Storm’s arm stretched out while AMC steps and doubles him over with a boot to the midsection. Sands heads out to the apron while AMC connects with another boot to the midsection. She then places Storm in a side headlock until Storm pushes her off into the ropes. AMC comes back off the rebound before Storm throws her down with a hip toss. He then cartwheels over, claps his hands and follows up with a dropkick. He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . AMC kicks out. Storm brings AMC back down with a snapmare before coming off the ropes and connecting with a basement dropkick. He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . AMC kicks out. Kris Cruise: Another dropkick from Storm finds its mark. But he only gets two. Storm picks up AMC before whipping her into the Heroes for Hire corner. Mitsuo Shimada then holds AMC’s arms from behind while Storm runs across the ring. The crowd cheers as he leaps into the air before connecting with a hesitation dropkick! AMC crumbles to the mat while Shimada gets tagged in. Shimada brings AMC back to her feet before delivering a swinging neckbreaker. He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . AMC kicks out. AMC gets sent for the ride. Shimada goes to catch her off the rebound with a hip toss of his own. But AMC steps through it. She then tries to give him a hip toss of her own. Shimada blocks it. AMC tries to muscle him up for another hip toss. Again, Shimada blocks. Shimada then doubles AMC over with a punch to the midsection. He then sets up for a hangman’s neckbreaker. Luckily for AMC, she’s able to slip out. She the hooks Shimada’s arms from behind and tries to bring him down with a backslide pin. Shimada’s able to fight her off and remain standing. He then forcefully leans forward. AMC rolls off his back, lands on her feet in front of him and follows up with a swinging neckbreaker. She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Shimada kicks out. Shimada reverses an irish whip, sending AMC into the ropes. He goes to catch AMC off the rebound with a flying forearm smash, but AMC avoids it by sliding underneath it. AMC then runs over before trying to knock Shimada off his feet with a diving forearm smash. Shimada ducks by rolling underneath it. AMC gets back to her feet, runs over and gets caught with an open palm strike. Shimada then grabs AMC and delivers a headbutt. He follows up with a spinning backfist. While AMC is dazed, Shimada sizes her up before throwing out a discus lariat. The crowd cheers when AMC ducks and counters with a Float Over DDT! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Shimada kicks out. Kris Cruise: Nice counter DDT there from AMC, but it only gets a two count. AMC heads over and tags Sands back in. Sands gets in, takes Shimada and doubles him over with an inverted atomic drop. Sands follows up with a side russian legsweep. She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Shimada kicks out. Sands takes Shimada and whips him into the corner. The cheers continue as she runs across the ring before blasting him with the Wind Kick (running big boot in the corner)! NO! Shimada catches her foot before shoving her down to the mat. As Sands rolls back to her feet, Shimada runs out of the corner and throws out a lariat. Sands ducks the blow and takes off into the ropes. She rebounds off the ropes, comes back and throws herself at Shimada with a crossbody block. Shimada catches her! Shimada keeps Sands held in his clutches until throws her up and catches her across his shoulders. He then rushes over towards the corner before delivering a rolling fireman’s carry. Shimada returns to his feet and quickly goes to follow up with a springboard moonsault off the second rope. Sands gets her knees up! The crowd cheers as Shimada bounces off her knees before curling up on the mat. Kris Cruise: Sands was able to get the knees up in time! Can Shimada make the tag? Can Sands take advantage? Who will get the edge in this tag team contest? Shimada rolls over and tags Storm back in. Storm is quick to knock Sands down with a springboard missile dropkick! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Sands gets the shoulder up. Storm takes Sands and shoots her into the ropes. He goes to catch her off the return with a back elbow to the face. But Sands ducks before continuing to run the ropes. Storm then goes to catch her off the rebound with a clothesline. Again, Sands ducks before continuing to run the ropes. Storm sets up early for a back body drop. But this allow AMC to make the blind tag while Storm is leaning forward. Sands comes off the ropes and hurdles over him before continuing to run the ropes. Storm then stands up and turns around to anticipate Sands coming off the ropes. Instead, she hangs onto the top rope. While Storm is distracted, AMC knocks him down with a missile dropkick to the back of the head! The cheers continue as she pulls Storm back up before bringing him down with a Scorpion Death Drop! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Storm gets the shoulder up. AMC heads over and tags Sands back in. Ashes to Ashes then take Storm and whip him into the ropes. Storm comes back before getting thrown down with a double back body drop. Shimada then slingshots in and runs after Ashes to Ashes. But he also gets a double back body drop for his troubles. Shimada gets up, turns around and gets caught with a running double dropkick, knocking him through the ropes and to the floor. Ashes to Ashes turn around and knock Storm off his feet with a double dropkick. AMC then takes Storm, moves him into the corner and delivers multiple chest kicks before whipping him into the far corner. The crowd cheers as Sands runs across the ring and blasts him with the Wind Kick! Sands then moves out of the way as AMC runs over and connects with a corner clothesline! AMC takes Storm and places him in a headlock before bringing him out of the corner with a running bulldog. Storm remains in the prone position as Sands comes off the ropes and delivers the Wind Whisper (Rolling Senton)! Ashes to Ashes then take Storm and whip him into the corner before AMC runs over and connects with a running pump knee to the face. She then hoists Storm up to a seated position on the top turnbuckle before lifting him onto her back and hitting the Gucci Drop (Backpack Stunner)! The cheers continue as Sands scales to the top turnbuckle, flips off and crashes down across him with the Sunset (Swanton Bomb)! Sands turns over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! J.A. Aldridge: The winners of this bout, ASHES TO ASHES! • COMMERCIAL BREAK •

Vertigo returns from the commercial break to the sight of Spencer Burke standing somewhere backstage at the Liacouras Center, microphone in hand. Spencer Burke: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time… Lowri Moss! The camera pans out, and the [restricted] audience responds with a cheer, as the popular young woman from South Wales comes into view. Ahead of her match later, Lowri is already dressed in her ring attire, together with a British & Irish Lions rugby union jersey. Spencer Burke: Lowri, later on tonight you’ll be teaming with Tyler Storm and Patrick Jones, as the three of you take on the trio of Seth Iser, Ace Voltage, and Mark Bisley, in six man tag team action. Before we discuss that match though, I first want to talk to you about Only The Strong Survive, and in particular, the Gold Rush Rumble. Lowri gestures for Spencer to proceed with his opening question. Spencer Burke: The last time we saw you on Vertigo was five weeks ago, when you became the first person to announce themselves as being an entrant in this year’s Rumble. Later that same night, two more people announced that they would be entering the Rumble, those being Seth Iser and a returning Chandler Scott, and since then, the names of a further twenty entrants have been revealed. With Only The Strong Survive now just six days away, how are you feeling now about your chances of repeating your victory from last year? Lowri Moss: Like always, Spencer, the Gold Rush Rumble is shaping up to be a who’s who of not just FGA, but of the entire wrestling world. There are current champions, former champions, former world champions, Hall of Famers, and all of that’s with five entrants still yet to be revealed, not to mention the two mystery entrants! And in amongst it all, there’s me: one of three previous Rumble winners who’ll be in the match, aiming to become only the second person in FGA history to win it for a second time. Lowri smiles, as she continues. Lowri Moss: Obviously the aim of everyone that’s going to be in the Rumble, all thirty of us, will be to win it and to then go on to face either Cordelia Stevenson or Fujiko Mine at All-Star Showdown X. For the likes of Seth and Chandler, Izzy Anders, Savannah Taylor and John Carmichael, it’s an opportunity to get back to where they once were, at the top of FGA, while for the rest of us, it’s an opportunity to get there for the first time. A number of people have already confidently stated that it’ll be them who wins the Rumble and who goes on to challenge for the Undisputed Championship at All-Star Showdown, but after last year, and my record breaking, history making performance, I believe that I have as much reason as anyone else in the match to feel confident about my chances of winning. A momentary pause follows. Lowri Moss: At last year’s Only The Strong Survive, when it came time for the Rumble, I had already been in two other matches earlier in the night-- or two wars, as I heard them referred to as afterwards: a Pride Championship match that went the distance, and a triple threat match for the World and United States tag team titles. But not only did I go into last year’s Rumble having already wrestled two other matches that night, I also went into it with just one good ankle, after having sustained an injury to my left ankle during the Pride title match. However, despite all of that, I was still able to outlast twenty-nine opponents, twenty-nine of FGA’s finest, to emerge as the winner. This year though, I’m not going to be in any other matches at Only The Strong Survive, which means that I’ll go into this year’s Rumble completely fresh, not hindered by any injuries. And so considering my win in last year’s Rumble, and the factors that meant the odds were very much not in my favour, none of which I’ll have to contend with this year, why shouldn’t I be confident about my chances of winning again? Spencer Burke: Something else that didn’t go in your favor last year, which you did allude to, although you didn’t mention it specifically, was that you entered the match at number three-- you must be hoping that you draw a better number this year. Lowri responds with a nod of her head. Lowri Moss: Of course, and by the end of tonight, we’ll know who’s going to be entering the Rumble at number one, number fifteen and number thirty, so there’ll then be a one in twenty-seven chance that I could draw number three again, or even that I could draw number two, which would mean me having to last even longer than I did last year. In all likelihood though, I will draw a better number this time, but after what I did last year-- winning the Rumble after entering at number three and lasting for sixty-five minutes-- all twenty-nine of my opponents will know that no matter what number I enter the match at, I’m a serious threat to each of their chances of winning. Spencer Burke: As you’ve already mentioned, the winner of the Gold Rush Rumble will go on to challenge either Cordelia Stevenson or Fujiko Mine for the Undisputed Championship at All-Star Showdown X, and by the time that the Rumble begins, you’ll know which of the two it is that you’ll be facing if you win; do you have any preference as to who you would want to face? Now Lowri shakes her head. Lowri Moss: I remember you asking me a similar question at 2021: A New Odyssey, Spencer, as some people had been speculating that the winner of the match between me and Fujiko could potentially be the first in line to challenge whoever won the title unification match between Seth and Cordy-- which I suppose did actually turn out to be true. She gives a shrug of her shoulders. Lowri Moss: Anyway, just take what I said to you that night, Spencer, replace Seth’s name with Fujiko, and you’ve got my answer. Despite what she just said, Lowri’s body language suggests that she might not be being completely open with her feelings about the upcoming Undisputed Championship match, although if Spencer has picked up on that, he does not press her on the matter. Spencer Burke: Okay, well, speaking of Seth, as I mentioned at the start, he’s going to be one of your opponents later tonight, together with Ace Voltage and Mark Bisley, in a six man tag match that’ll see you team with Tyler Storm and Patrick Jones; what are your thoughts on this matchup? Lowri’s demeanour noticeably changes, instantly appearing more willing to give Spencer an answer to his question. Lowri Moss: Well firstly, Spencer, I’m really looking forward to being back in an FGA ring for the first time since 2021: A New Odyssey. But as for the match itself, I think it’s an intriguing one, featuring both the 15 Champion and the Pride Champion, both of their upcoming challengers, the former World Champion, and… me. That is what Lowri settles for, being unsure of how best to refer to herself in that particular context. She considered “an aspiring Undisputed Champion,” but then thought, “That applies to everyone on the roster other than Cordy, surely.” Lowri Moss: As far as my teammates are concerned, I definitely can’t complain. Tyler and I are already familiar with each other, having been both partners and opponents in the past, and I think the respect that we have for one another has only increased following our battles last year over the Pride Championship. By his own admission, Tyler has never been the best tag wrestler, although he and I were successful the last time that we were partners, and judging by his tweet from earlier in the week, he seems happy that we’re teaming again, as am I, so… now we just need to repeat our previous success together. She knows that will be easier said than done though, given who their opponents are. Lowri Moss: And as for Patrick, I don’t really know him on a personal level, but I do know what he’s capable of inside the ring; he has had some impressive victories as of late, including one against Mark Bisley in the Beat The Clock Challenge that, while it wasn’t quite enough to earn him a shot at the United States title, it did get him a shot at the 15 title for Only The Strong Survive. But on the subject of titles, just last Sunday he became a champion in another promotion, after coming out on top in a brutal first blood match, so I know he can hold his own in the ring. And while Patrick and I have never teamed together before, I don’t think we’re going to have any problems getting along with one another, and I believe that like Tyler, I can rely on him and I can trust him to have my back when I need him to. I just hope he’s fully recovered from that match he had six days ago! Lowri takes a breath, before continuing. Lowri Moss: Now as for our opponents, Mark Bisley is a two-time 15 Champion, as well as a former World Tag Team Champion, like myself-- although the only time that he and I have been opponents previously was in last year’s Gold Rush Rumble, as Pendragon and Smart Style never crossed paths. People may not always appreciate Mark’s attitude, but given what he has accomplished, I think his ability absolutely needs to be respected-- which could also be said about Ace Voltage, who’s one of the cockiest people on the roster, and while he isn’t quite as good as he thinks he is, he did have a lengthy reign as the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion. He also could very well soon be the new Pride Champion-- although I know Tyler is going to give his all to try to ensure that doesn’t occur-- but tonight I’m hoping that whatever happens, he will at least stick around and fight, and not walk out on the match like he did when he and I were opponents last September, when he decided to get himself counted out, to try to save face. If Ace does try something like that again, “How will his partners react?” she wonders. Lowri Moss: And then there’s Seth, who of our three opponents, it’s probably fair to say is the one I’m most familiar with. Lowri puts her hands on her hips. Lowri Moss: I said before our match last year in the Wildcard Lottery tournament that while Seth seems to feel like he doesn’t always get the respect that he deserves, I have no problem showing him that respect; I already respected what he had accomplished during his long career in our sport, and that was before he added two tournaments-- including the Wildcard Lottery-- and two more world titles to his list of achievements. Now he wants to add a Gold Rush Rumble win to that list, and I know that in six days’ time, he’s likely to be one of my biggest rivals in the rumble. Recently he said something along the lines of, anyone who wants to win the Rumble has to go through him, and he doesn’t think anyone in FGA can do that. Well, I'm saying that I think I can-- I think I can get a win over him here tonight, and then come Only The Strong Survive, I think I can get another, even bigger win over him. Spencer Burke: There’s one more thing that I want to ask you about, if I may. Lowri nods, inviting Spencer to ask away. Spencer Burke: Only The Strong Survive will be the first FGA show since Grapple Kingdom 3, in March of last year, to take place in a venue operating at full capacity, and so knowing the connection that you have with the FGA fans, I have to ask, just how much are you looking forward to being back in front of a full crowd? The smile on Lowri’s face broadens. Lowri Moss: Oh, Spencer, I… I can hardly wait. It’s gonna be great. The fans are the lifeblood of any wrestling promotion. They use their hard earned money to pay to watch our shows and to buy our merchandise, and I feed off the support and the energy that they provide-- they make what we do worthwhile, and without all of them, there would be no FGA. A cheer can be heard from some of the crowd present inside the Liacouras Center, appreciative of her remarks. Lowri Moss: The pandemic has had an impact on all sports, and I'm glad that FGA has been able to at least have some fans in attendance at all of our shows during the past twelve months, even if it has only been a limited number, as that's better than the alternative of having shows be held behind closed doors, but it still hasn’t quite been the same, so… yeah, I’m really looking forward to it, and I daresay that the fans are all looking forward to it just as much-- it’s going to be awesome. And what better way to cap off the first show back in front of a full crowd than with a victory in the Gold Rush Rumble for the most recent winner of the FGA Fan Favorite award? That elicits a louder cheer, the fans in Philadelphia seemingly on board with Lowri’s suggestion. Spencer Burke: Alright, well, thanks for your time, Lowri, and good luck for tonight, as well as for Only The Strong Survive. Lowri takes her hands off her hips. Lowri Moss: Thanks, Spencer. She turns away from Spencer, ready to take her leave, but she then stops all of a sudden. Spencer Burke: Lowri? Are you okay? She turns back to face Spencer. Lowri Moss: You asked me earlier, Spencer, if I had a preference as to who I would want to face at All-Star Showdown, if I win the Gold Rush Rumble, and I essentially gave you a non-answer. Well, I’ve decided that instead of sitting on the fence, I want to give you a proper answer. Lowri lets out a sigh, knowing that what she is about to say is unlikely to be well received by the fans. Lowri Moss: I get along quite well with Fujiko, Spencer, I think that much is obvious. Not that-- this next bit. Lowri Moss: If she wins the Undisputed Championship at Only The Strong Survive, I’ll be happy for her, and at some point down the line, I do want to have a sequel to the match that we had at 2021: A New Odyssey. However-- and I know this isn’t going to be a popular answer-- if I do win the Gold Rush Rumble, then the person that I want to face at All-Star Showdown X… is Cordy. Sure enough, the mention of Cordy’s name is met with boos from the audience. Lowri Moss: Everyone watching knows what happened in our match at All-Star Showdown IX, and since then, Cordy has accused me of being bitter about it, of crying about it, of being petty towards her, and so on and so forth. And I don’t mind admitting that the loss hurt-- it was the biggest match of my career to date, and losing it stung for some time afterwards, especially given the circumstances of how I lost. But I tried to move on from it-- I had to, I had no other choice, particularly with Only the Strong Survive and the Gold Rush Rumble on the horizon, and the opportunity to earn myself a shot at the undisputed title - that was what I needed to be focusing on, not what happened last December. It almost feels though like Cordy hasn’t moved on from it-- not fully, at least. She lets out another sigh. Lowri Moss: During the announcement I made that I would be entering the Gold Rush Rumble, I mentioned Cordy once. Lowri holds up a single finger, for emphasis. Lowri Moss: Earlier on in the same show, during her championship celebration, she mentioned me a dozen times-- a dozen. And remember, it wasn’t me that she had beaten at 2021: A New Odyssey to unify the international heavyweight and world titles, it was Seth, and yet she didn’t mention him half as many times as she mentioned me. She shakes her head. Lowri Moss: My goal is to win the undisputed title, Spencer, I’ve made no secret of that, and when it happens-- not if, when-- it’ll be the best moment of my career, regardless of who I beat to win it. If I could beat Cordy to win it though, I think that would make it just that little bit better. Spencer Burke: Do you think that’s where your journey to potentially becoming Undisputed Champion is destined to take you? Lowri shrugs. Lowri Moss: Perhaps, Spencer. I would certainly like it to-- I want to be the one to end Cordy’s reign as champion. And so after tonight, I’m going to take my “happy go lucky ass” to Baltimore for Only The Strong Survive, I’m going to prove that my victory in last year’s Gold Rush Rumble isn't an outlier, and then I’m going to go on to All-Star Showdown X, to win the Undisputed Championship. She turns to face the camera, and what Lowri says next refers back to something that Cordy said to her on the episode of Vertigo that followed Only The Strong Survive last year. Lowri Moss: I want the smoke, Cordelia-- I want all of it. And I’m [BEEP]ing coming for it. Lowri continues to stare at the camera, with a look of confidence on her face, before it then cuts away. • COMMERCIAL BREAK •

The scene shifts backstage, focusing on Amanda Johnson moving at a quickstep through the corridor in apparent pursuit of someone. She rounds a corner with a camera following along behind her a couple of moments later. Some distance ahead of Amanda, a pair of figures are seen walking together. They are the ones she appears to be after as she calls out to one of them as she approaches.
Amanda Johnson: Theodore!
The pair pause and turn to glance in her direction. Theodore Harris is dressed in a black suit jacket with matching pants and shoes and a red dress shirt. Logan Alexander is dressed in his black and silver ring gear, with his black cloth facemask on as usual. Amanda slows as she draws close to them.
Amanda Johnson: A word, please?
Theodore looks toward Logan. Logan turns his head away from her looking off in the direction they had been walking and folds his arms across his chest. Theodore returns his focus to Amanda.
Theodore Harris: What is it?
Amanda Johnson: Before you and Logan get out there for the battle royal match tonight, I’d like to ask about Logan’s current condition. Given the assault by Sloan Talbot during the last Vertigo broadcast, there are some questions and rumours floating around regarding his fitness to compete here tonight.
Logan slowly turns his head back to regard Amanda silently for a moment. Then he meets Theodore’s gaze before turning away again. Theodore then looks back to Amanda again.
Theodore Harris: He is up and on his feet. Isn’t that good enough?
Amanda Johnson: Well, I’d just like to--
Theodore cuts her off with an audible sigh.
Theodore Harris: Of course, you want some details. So Logan spent the remainder of Vertigo after Sloan was walked off getting tended to by FGA trainers. He doesn’t have a perfect bill of health here tonight, but he’s fit to compete. He’s bruised and sore, but more importantly, he’s angry.
Theodore smiles at Amanda, but there is no warmth in his expression.
Theodore Harris: Sloan got the better of him last time.
He looks over to the camera.
Theodore Harris: Congratulations Sloan. You can have your name added to the list of dozens of other people that have done the same over the years. And like them, you accomplished nothing beyond motivating Logan and getting FGA management involved in this.
Amanda Johnson: I hadn’t heard anything about that.
Theodore rolls his eyes.
Theodore Harris: It wasn’t that important since it’s just a couple of bottom rung guys out there beating each other up backstage. People don’t talk about that stuff unless the people involved are mid-tier or better. But the details you want Amanda, are that management stepped in and gave Logan his match at Only the Strong Survive. He and Sloan Talbot one on one. That is provided that there is no further contact between the two of them or their managers, outside of sanctioned matches, between now and then. They even laid out possible penalties for non compliance: canceling the match, removal from the Gold Rush Rumble, fines and suspension.
He snorts softly.
Theodore Harris: If Logan had wanted to, he would have laughed at them over that kind of punishment. But, since he was getting a match he wanted, there was no sense in antagonizing them. He’d toe their line since it suits him for the moment. Fortunately, tonight also provides its own opportunity to do exactly what he wants anyway. We’ve got a battle royal for the number fifteen position in the Gold Rush Rumble. We. Do. Not. Care.
He glances towards Logan with a disappointed frown on his face for a few moments, then looks back towards Amanda, without the frown.
Theodore Harris: But getting to step into the ring with Sloan Talbot tonight? Logan is all in for that. That’s all that matters here. We can see if he’s got anything better than what he brought last time because it clearly wasn’t enough.
He smirks slightly.
Theodore Harris: As for the other eleven competitors that’ll be out there tonight? You get between Logan Alexander and Sloan Talbot tonight, you’re going to get run over. Do yourselves a favour and stay out of the way. Let Logan take care of the big man and the rest of you can fight amongst yourselves. Once that is done, then we’ll see where things end up in the fight for fifteen.
With that, Logan and Theodore turn and leave Amanda there, making their way towards the entryway for their match.

Reporting backstage, Spencer Burke waited for the arrival of his next guest with slight frustration in his posture. He mumbled to himself while the cameras tracked him.
Spencer Burke: Alright, I’m not going to let her get the drop on me--
Contrary to his preparation, the Mindkiller had already snuck up behind him. She inspected parts of him, deciding on where to--
Izzy Anders: Boo!
Poke him. Izzy jabbed him in his side, causing the veteran interviewer to flinch and let out a shocked yelp. He twisted around to where Izzy was laughing at his response. Spencer’s face flushed with embarrassment, but he couldn’t help but laugh alongside her. Just another night, just another prank by one of his longtime interviewees. Spencer Burke adjusted accordingly, turning back onto the professional air and so did Izzy.
Spencer Burke: Welcome back, Izzy. It has been some time since we’ve seen you last. Even with the prospect of facing Cordy Stevenson again, you didn’t show up. Were you backstage at all or…?
Izzy combed a hand through her hair.
Izzy Anders: I was backstage, but I didn’t want to make an appearance because it would have been embarrassing. I’m quick to believe that no matter what Cordelia may be saying these days, she has respect for me and my time. So, I assume she wouldn’t want to make a mockery of me and what I stand for. But I had to watch out for myself. How sad would it have been for me to make my grand entrance and have to sit there, looking lost for who knows how long?
The former Undisputed Champion shrugged.
Izzy Anders: I understood where the Lioness was coming from, though. Why waste such a highly anticipated rematch on just a random Vertigo? She knows we both need a main event to do it right. But as it stands now, I have no way into that limelight. And she still has to get past Fujiko.
Spencer nodded at her explanation, deciding to let it rest in favor of the juicer subject left in the air.
Spencer Burke: And are you taking a side on that? Both individuals have had an important role to play in your career. And perhaps maybe in others if the rumor mill--
Izzy raised her hand up, stopping Spencer at once. Scowling at him, she wagged her finger in front of his face, which made him relent just a smidge.
Izzy Anders: Let’s never give the rumor mill the time of day. Because if we did, they could make up anything to stir pots that never needed it. But yes, Cordelia and Fujiko have both played roles in my now HALL OF FAME---
She made sure to shout that.
Izzy Anders: --career and I could not wager any money on such a match. Because if you ask me? It may come down to a draw. Their match will be generation defining. We’re in an era shared by both of them--sorry, Cordelia, you know it’s true--and this match will serve as the capitalization of it. Whoever wins, if there will be one, will be the one to continue to carry the torch of FGA well beyond this pandemic. I can’t, and will not, say who wins or who I’m rooting for. Because you must remember one thing, Spencer.
Spencer looked around aimlessly, unsure of what he was supposed to remember. It did hit him as evident by the sudden change of his features.
Spencer Burke: That Izzy Anders looks out for herself?
Izzy shrugged.
Izzy Anders: In many cases, yes. But I’m not exactly preoccupied with being either of their supporting characters. The Gold Rush Rumble is right there and tonight, I have one of the most important matches of my life--on a random Vertigo.
With the Cheshire Cat Grin returning for the first time in a few months, Izzy continued. The return did gather some cheers from the audience, knowing what it exactly means, for better or for worse.
Izzy Anders: Chandler Scott and I have a date. One that would mean that either I have to crawl my way through the Gold Rush Rumble or I can spit on some alkaline water backstage until it’s time. You see, it’s not the Gold Rush Rumble that’s the issue. It’s the implication of finding out if Izzy Freakin’ Anders has ever been good enough to beat Chandler F***kin’ Scott. 6 years, Spencer, 6 years, more of less, has people been waiting to see us tango. Now we have it. And whoever wins this match will throw themselves in as the odds-on favorite to win the Gold Rush Rumble. But for me? It’s beating him tonight that will be the capstone on my career. Izzy Anders has always been…
Izzy began to prod Spencer’s chest, albeit gently because he doesn’t recoil from the contact.
Izzy Anders: That.
Prod.
Izzy Anders: Freakin’.
Prod. Then a beat.
Izzy Anders: Good.
Izzy then snapped to attention because the sound of footsteps caught her feline instincts. The camera panned over to find the form of Fujiko Mine approaching behind, her stiletto boot heels clicking on the concrete. She bends down to smooth out her jeans, and then rises back up and gives a smile over towards Spencer.
Fujiko Mine: We really gotta stop meeting like this.
She nods to him, then takes a look over to Izzy Anders.
Fujiko Mine: You yelled out “Hall of Fame”, so I thought it was like a call to a meeting or something. What’s up?
She mused to Izzy, covering her mouth with her left hand. She let her humor pass, then took a small step forward to widen her stance. Her smile remained, if not slightly larger than before.
Fujiko Mine: It’s good to have you back around, Izzy. I’ll say this, when you tweeted that you were looking for your flowers, it installed in me a sense of dread.
She lost the smile, training her gaze squarely on the former Undisputed Champion.
Fujiko Mine: This is something you already know, but you have made an indelible mark on Frontier Grappling Arts. It would be quite bizarre to be in a place where Izzy Anders has chosen to no longer compete.
Fujiko peered away for a moment, gathering her thoughts.
Fujiko Mine: Of course, there have been moments in which you haven’t been around, but to know that’s because you’ve chosen to retire rather than just not be around...there’s a fine but significant difference. I feel like with you, when you say you’re done...there isn’t really a ‘maybe I’ll come back.’ Knowing what I know of you, that feels like a special occurrence.
Fujiko Mine: Instead, we’re getting a different rare event. A match against a man that both you and I have been clamoring to face. A man who we both looked up to. One we both wanted to prove ourselves against. Sure, you’ll have the opportunity to potentially face each other in the rumble, but who knows what’ll happen.
She gave something of a shrug towards both Izzy and Spencer.
Fujiko Mine: And part of me is a little jealous that you’re getting to face him before me. But still happy for you. Because despite what’s been said, this is something you wanted, and it leads to something you want. So that being said, I just wanted to wish you joy tonight.
Fujiko took another pause to process, but then nodded to herself.
Fujiko Mine: That’s all.
With that, Fujiko adjusted her stance to move herself out of Izzy’s business. Izzy raised her hand to stop her rival from going on.
Izzy Anders: That almost felt like you were just stopping by. Like a drive-by greeting. I felt a little offended.
She snickered.
Izzy Anders: “That’s all?”
The Mindkiller scoffed.
Izzy Anders: Lemme ask you a question just to see where your mind’s at. Who do you got in this main event, and be honest with me. I can tell when you’re lying.
Fujiko’s head cocked to the side, looking off into the distance for a moment. She then looks over not to Izzy, but to Spencer.
Fujiko Mine: Did you ask her who she thought would win between Cordy and I?
Spencer nodded.
Fujiko Mine: And she didn’t commit to an answer, right?
Spencer shook his head. Fujiko nodded, then swished her tongue around in her mouth. A short ‘hn’ sound passes her lips.
Fujiko Mine: Both of you are coming back to the upper echelon of FGA with a clear cut goal in mind. Both of you are formidable wrestlers, looking for one more world championship to add to your impressive accolades. So I think that it’s going to be Chandler…
Fujiko sucked in a breath.
Fujiko Mine: ...who is going to admit that he’s been looking forward to this match just as long as you have. He’s been away from the World title for an incredibly long time, and he has a revenge angle on his mind from FGA Past vs. Present. It would be a match FGA is clamoring to see again, this time with the World title on the line, and Chandler getting number 30 would increase his chances of that.
She puts up a finger.
Fujiko Mine: BUT.
She taps her wrist.
Fujiko Mine: I have never been in the ring with Chandler. I have with you. Many, many times. And many people say that they would do whatever it takes to win a match? You’re the only person...the only person I’ve ever known who would literally push their opponent to actually mean it. Look no further than our World title match.
She turns her palms up.
Fujiko Mine: And I know another thing. You’d be spiteful enough to win the whole thing from the first position anyway.
She puts her hands on her hips.
Fujiko Mine: You can call it whatever you’d like, Izzy. I’ve seen both you and Chandler pull it out in big moments. Plenty want to see you win it and go on to face Cordelia. They want Cordy to retain so she can face you for the strap. I understand it.
She looks at Izzy directly.
Fujiko Mine: You want an answer? Chandler vs. Izzy for the first time ever? Being put on the spot, knowing some people are going to see me taking a side as a snub to the other? Izzy, it’s you. Call it pandering, you know I don’t think about that. Call it a lie?
She trails off, leaving it for Izzy to answer.
Izzy chuckled darkly to herself upon hearing Fujiko’s response.
Izzy Anders: And that’s all I wanted to hear.
With a playful shrug, she walked close to Fujiko and pulled her into a tight, but brief embrace.
Izzy Anders: See ya, bestie. By the way, I love how my shirt looked on you.
Her expression didn’t change a smidge as she walked on past and out of the line of sight. The camera then turned back to Spencer and Fujiko. Spencer didn’t know what to make of the interaction. Fujiko opens her mouth to say something, but she chooses not to. She tilts her head to Spencer, and then exits the scene.

BATTLE ROYAL (Winner gets #15 in the Rumble) Participants: Mighty Sparrow, Savannah Taylor, John Carmichael, Marlon Cure, Gareth Prichard Jr, Sloan Talbot, Logan Alexander, Laura Perelli, Kazu Hirano, Zack Gall, Jenny Cien, Jillian Clay, Nando Fresno: Alien Hunter If you close your eyes your life, A naked truth revealed Dreams you never lived, And scars never healed
Savannah makes her way up the ring steps. She looks out towards the audience for a moment before entering the ring. From there, she parts the sea amongst her other 12 opponents and heads for a turnbuckle. She stands there, taking in everything. She then lifts her up on top of it. She peers out in nothing, then takes off the hood with a flashy flourish. Her blonde locks fly up in the air. They descend, shaping her face as they famously do. In the darkness, light will take you to the other side You'll find me waiting there you'll see, if you just close your eyes While she stands in her corner, she closes her eyes and takes a heavy breath. When her bright eyes open, Taylor is completely composed. There is nothing more than the heat of battle awaiting her. She takes off her robe, giving it to a stagehand. She stretches her wrists before devoting her mind to the war upon the horizon. Kris Cruise: Alright, Stephy. Our next match is about to get underway. The Battle Royal to determine who will get number 15 is upon us. Who do you have? Stephy Auger: Marlon Cure previously won a Gold Rush Rumble. If he can outlast 29 other people, then beating a dozen in this one should be a piece of cake. But if you’re asking me to make a prediction, Cruise? I’m going with that woman right there. Kris Cruise: The Las Vegas Siren? Stephy Auger: You’re damn right! I think people have forgotten just how good this woman is. It’s about time that Taylor gives everyone a no-so-friendly reminder! Kris Cruise: Well me personally, I’m going to go with Mighty Sparrow. I just love this young man’s energy and confidence. Not to mention that his elusiveness will be an asset in a match like this. The bell sounds as Logan Alexander makes a beeline for Sloan Talbot. Savannah Taylor pushes Nano Fresno, who ends up stumbling backwards into Talbot’s back. Talbot quickly grabs Fresno by the neck with both hands and headbutts him before shoving him off to the side. Stephy Auger: Aw, that poor bastard. Talbot and Alexander runs forward and clash near the center of the ring! The crowd erupts with cheers as the two trade right hands. Kris Cruise: Talbot and Alexander are going at it! Stephy Auger: They wasted no time, huh? The pace quickens as Alexander and Talbot continue to exchange blow. Kris Cruise: Look at those piston-like rights from both men! Back and forth! Back and forth! Stephy Auger: I can barely keep up, Cruise! The fists continue to fly between Alexander and Talbot until Alexander gets doubled over with a knee to the gut. He starts to stand back up until Talbot doubles him over with a throat punch. He then takes a couple of steps back before knocking Alexander down with a big boot to the head! Talbot motions to go after Alexander until Fresno leaps onto his back and applies him in a Sleeper Hold. Stephy Auger: What the hell is he doing? Kris Cruise: Nandi’s trying to put Sloan to sleep! The Alien Hunter tries desperately to put his larger opponent down. Talbot simply raises one arm up, grabs onto Fresno and slams him down in front of him with ease. Stephy Auger: Welp! Across the ring, Savannah Taylor spins Mighty Sparrow around and hits him with three knife edge chops. She then delivers an irish whip and follows him across the ring. Instead of crashing into the corner, Sparrow grabs onto the top ropes and vaults backwards over his oncoming opponent. Sparrow lands on his feet, turns, rolls forward and hits the ropes. When Sparrow comes back, Marlon Cure and Jenny Cien throw him down with a double back body drop! NO! Sparrow’s able to rotate and land on his feet! He motions to run towards the ropes. But Gareth Prichard Jr is right there to bring him down with a standing double leg takedown. After hooking his arms around Sparrow’s legs, the crowd boos as Prichard execute a Helicopter Spin. Stephy Auger: So much for all that elusiveness, Cruise! Sparrow continues to be spun round and round until Laura Perelli knocks him down with a Sliding D! Kris Cruise: Good Lord, what a forearm! Stephy Auger: Laura’s been waiting months for that! He’s sill walking around with her title, you know! Kris Cruise: He is not! The boos continue as Pereli immediately pushes Sparrow over onto his back before slipping on the Rings of Saturn! Kris Cruise: New Jersey Necktie! Stephy Auger: She’s got it locked in and she’s never letting go! Perelli continues to pull back on the hold until Zack Gall runs over and breaks it up with a running double foot stomp to the ribs. Kris Cruise: Gall with the save! Stephy Auger: Why is Gall still a thorn in her side!? Why doesn’t he just get over it already!? Gall takes Perelli and whips her into the corner. From there, Gall charges in before blasting Perelli with the Death by Knee (V-Trigger)! Perelli is then whipped into the far corner. Gall runs over to attack until Perelli counters with a back elbow to the face. The boos continue as she lifts Gall up across her shoulder before tossing him over the top and to the floor! Zack Gall - ELIMINATED Stephy Auger: So long, Zacky! Across the ring, Alexander gets choked on the top rope as Talbot pushes down across the back of his neck. Alexander continues to get choked until Jillian Clay pulls Talbot off him. The crowd cheers as she nails him with a forearm strike. But Talbot doesn't budge. Clay connects with another forearm strike. Again, Talbot doesn’t budge. She then goes for an irish who. Talbot doesn’t budge. Clay squats down to try and another irish whip. Again, Talbot doesn't budge. He then swats Clay’s hands off him before dropping her with a hard right hand. Talbot motions to strike until Fresno leaps onto his back again. The crowd cheers when they see The Alien Hunter apply another Sleeper. Stephy Auger: He’s a stubborn little Alien Hunter, huh? Kris Cruise: There’s no quit in Nando Fresno. Stephy Auger: There’s no sign of intelligence, either. Talbot remains in the hold until he runs backwards and squashes Fresno in the corner! The boos continue as Talbot unleashes a series of back elbow strikes to the face, followed by a series of knee strikes to the midsection, followed by a series of shoulder thrusts. Fresno remains doubled over until a hard clubbing strike across the back knocks him down. Stephy Auger: Sloan could probably chop down a tree with those clubbing forearm strikes. Talbot reaches down, pulls Fresno back up and knocks him back into the corner with a headbutt. He then lunges forward and applies a two-handed choke. Fresno grabs onto Talbot’s wrists to try and pull his hands from off him. But it’s no to no avail. The boos continue as Talbot tries to choke the life out of Fresno. Kris Cruise: There’s no five count to save Fresno in a match like this. Stephy Auger: Absolutely not. He should have just sat there and minded his own business. The Alien Hunter slowly steps up onto the bottom rope. Fresno continues to get choked as he slowly climbs up onto the middle ropes. He once again tries to pull Talbot’s hands from off him. When that doesn’t work, he tries to knock Talbot’s hands from around his neck with wild hammer fists to the forearms. Again, Talbot keeps the choke locked on tight. In a last bit of desperation, Fresno reaches out and nails Talbot with a bell clap. The crowd cheers when Talbot gets caught with another bell clap. The Alien Hunter pulls his arms all the way back before swinging them forward. The cheers grow louder when the third bell clap finally breaks the choke. Kris Cruise: Nano’s free! Talbot doubles over as an exhausted Fresno sits down on the top turnbuckle. He tries to regain his breath until Talbot quickly stands up and nails him with a big boot to the chest, sending him flipping over the top turnbuckle, bouncing off the steep steps and hitting the floor! Stephy Auger: And now, he’s out of here! Nando Fresno - ELIMINATED Back across the ring, Sparrow finally gets back to his feet before Taylor brings him down with a leapfrog into a one-handed bulldog! The boos continue as she takes the Legacy Champion and whips him into the corner. The Las Vegas Siren runs forward, hurls herself at Sparrow and connects with a corner back elbow! NO! The crowd cheers when Sparrow slips out of the way, causing Taylor to crash into the corner. He then walks back over and nails her with multiple corner chest kicks before delivering an irish whip into the far corner. Sparrow runs across the ring for an attack until Taylor ducks and dumps him over the top rope. Instead of crashing to the floor, Sparrow lands safely on the apron. When Taylor turns around, the crowd cheers as Sparrow knocks her back with a rope-assisted gamengiri! Perelli runs over to attack. But she, too, gets knocked back with a rope-assisted gamengiri. Cure then runs over to knock Sparrow off with a running shoulder block through the ropes. Sparrow avoids the attack with a slingshot somersault over Cure. He goes to run towards the far ropes. But John Carmichael is there to throw him down with authority with the Salt of the Earth (tilt-a-whirl over the shoulder powerslam)! Stephy Auger: He almost slammed Sparrow through the ring! Across the way, Talbot finally gets his hands on Alexander again. While Alexander’s back in turned, Talbot finally applied a Sleeper instead of winding up on the receiving end. The hold doesn’t stay on for long, though, as Alexander reaches back with both hands, grabs Talbot by the head and brings him down with a sitout jawbreaker! Talbot pops back to his feet, but he’s clearly dazed. While Talbot is still stunned, Alexander gets up and hits the ropes. Alexander comes off the ropes and motions for a spear, but Talbot counters with a big boot to the head. Talbot then yanks Alexander off the mat before whipping him into the ropes. When Alexander returns, Talbot knocks him off his feet with a lariat. He then mounts himself on top of Alexander and starts raining down mounted right hands. Talbot first set of punches land clean. Eventually, Alexander’s able to get his arms up to block the pouches. So Talbot starts swinging down with wild rights and lefts. Talbot continues his assault on Alexander until he gets knocked off with a Savate Kick from Clay! Kris Cruise: That was for Nando! As Talbot gets back to his feet, Clay rushes over and delivers an arm wrench. After another arm wrench is delivered, she tries to bring Talbot down with a running somersault arm wringer. But Talbot remains in place. She then lets go of the arm and throws out a Koppu Kick. Talbot swats the kick down. He goes to put his foot throw Clay’s face with a hard stomp, but she rolls out of the way. Talbot tries for another hard stomp. Again, Clay rolls out of the way. Clay scrambles back to her feet before throwing out a kick to the gut. As soon as Talbot catches her foot, she counters with an enzuigiri. Talbot remains dazed while Clay hits the ropes. She comes back and throws herself at Talbot with a crossbody! Talbot catches her in mid air, hits a backbreaker, pulls her off his knee as he stands back up and then yeets her with a fallaway slam, sending Clay finally over the top rope before crashing to the floor! Jillian Clay - ELIMINATED Kris Cruise: Good Lord! Stephy Auger: Is it too late to change my pick? Back in the ring, Kazu Hirano turns Prichard around before knocking him back with a lariat. Another lariat knocks him back. Hirano then sets up for an irish whip. Prichard reverses, only for Hirano to counter his reversal and knock him down with a short-arm lariat. Prichard returns to his feet before Hirano knocks him down with a dropkick. The Wanderer then hits the ropes. Hirano comes back off the rebound and goes for a running hurricanrana! NO! Prichard blocks, leaving Hirano handing upside down. Prichard then hooks his right arm around Hirano’s right leg. After hooking his left arm around the left leg, Prichard positions Hirano for a Helicopter Spin! Hirano then turns his body to his left before quickly spinning to the right, sending Prichard flipping down to the mat. Hirano takes Prichard and whips him hard into the corner. Prichard starts to stagger forward until a running shotgun dropkick sends him flying back into the corner! Hirano then runs across the ring, bounces out of the corner, charges back across the ring, hurls himself at Prichard and connects with a corner cannonball senton! The cheers continue as Hirano pulls him out of the corner before lifting him up onto his shoulders. He’s got Prichard set up for the Magical Mystery Tour #1 (Airplane Spin into a Death Valley Drive)! Before Hirano starts to spin, Prichard rakes him across the eyes. He slips down from behind, takes control of Hirano’s back and cracks him with a ripcord jumping knee strike! The crowd boos as Prichard grabs him by the back of the neck, runs and tosses him over the top to the floor! Kazu Hirano - ELIMINATED Cure spins Prichard towards him before knocking him down with an elbow smash. Prichard returns to his feet before getting knocked back with another elbow smash. King Cure then moves Prichard into the corner before doubling him over with multiple shoulder thrusts. Cure turns Prichard towards the ropes, wraps his arms around the left leg and tries to dump him over the top rope! Prichard then wraps his right arm around the top rope while grabbing onto the middle rope to block him. Across the ring, Carmichael delivers an arm wrench to Sparrow before following up with a short-arm shoulder block. Carmichael wrenches the arm again before following up with another short-arm shoulder block to the right shoulder. The boos continue as Carmichael hits him with a series of short-arm shoulder blocks before delivering an irish whip. Carmichael rushes in to attack, but he gets knocked back by a back elbow with the left arm. Carmichael runs back in. This time, Sparrow knocks him back with a boot to the face. Sparrow goes to counter Carmichael with another boot to the face when he rushes in. But Carmichael stops and grabs the right foot in time. Sparrow then leans back, pulls back his left leg and thrusts forward, nailing Carmichael right in the face! While Carmichael stumbles back, Sparrow steps out to the apron before climbing the turnbuckles. Once he reaches the top, Perelli runs over and tries to shove him off. But Sparrow’s able to leap over Perelli and knock Carmichael down with a missile dropkick. Sparrow gets back to his feet and sees Perelli charging from out of the corner. So he knocks her back with the Leaf Hurricane (Counter Scorpion Kick followed by a Pele Kick)! Perelli stumbles back as Sparrow runs towards her. The crowd gasps when Sparrow executes a running hurricanrana, sending them both over the top rope! Stephy Auger: They’re both gone! Perelli hits the floor! Sparrow keeps his left arm hooked around the top rope! His left foot hits the floor! Sparrow’s right foot then hits the floor!!! But not before he picks the left foot up first! He then pulls himself up to the apron before slipping back in under the bottom rope. Laura Perelli - ELIMINATED Sparrow tries to rest while he’s on the mat. But he’s quickly met with multiple stomps from the Las Vegas Siren! Across the ring, Talbot whips Alexander hard into the corner. Alexander staggers out of the corner until Talbot grabs him by the throat. He lifts Alexander up for a chokeslam before getting caught with a back elbow to the side of the head. Talbot lowers Alexander back down before getting caught with another back elbow to the head. Alexander then takes off into the ropes. When he returns, Talbot lifts him up across his shoulders for a Samoan Drop. Alexander then gives him a couple more elbows to the side head of the head. After slipping down from behind, the crowd cheers when Alexander throws him down with the Chaotic Repeater (three rolling German Suplexes)! Carmichael quickly attacks Alexander from behind as he tries to get back to his feet. He then takes control of Alexander’s back until Alexander counters with a back elbow to the face. He then performs a standing switch before bringing Carmichael down wit the Chaotic Repeater! As Alexander gets back up, Cien marches over and tries to catch him with a boot to the midsection. Alexander catches her foot, swings her leg away from him and takes control of her back before bringing her down with the Chaotic Repeater! He then grabs Cien, runs and tosses her over the top to the floor. Jenny Cien - ELIMINATED Over in the corner, Cure continues to try and dump out Prichard until Prichard reaches back and rakes him across the eyes. While Cure turns and staggers over towards the center of the ring, Prichard comes up from behind and connects with a kick to the back of the leg. He then positions himself in front of Cure before connecting with a kick to the inside leg. Gareth then hits the ropes, comes back and connects with a front dropkick to the knee, knocking Cure down. Gareth then places Cure in an Indian Deathlock! Stephy Auger: This is the worts place Cure could be right now. Gareth keeps the submission applied until Carmichael runs over and nails Gareth with a jumping knee drop, breaking the hold. The boos continue as Carmichael hits him with another jumping knee drop. Cure slowly gets back to his feet. But he doesn’t remain standing for long as Carmichael yanks him down to the mat with a standing double leg before applying a figure four leglock. Carmichael keeps Cure locked in the submission until Gareth returns the favor with stomps to the body. He then goes over and stomps away on Cure before turning his attention back to Carmichael. Carmichael gets pulled up off the mat before being whipped into the corner. Prichard runs over to attack until Carmichael knocks him back with a back elbow to the face. Prichard stumbles back and turns around. Cure quickly lifts him up onto his shoulders for The Blackout (fireman’s carry dropped into an overhead kick). Before Cure can hit the move, Prichard nails him with three elbows to the side of the head. He then slips down from behind and takes control of Cure’s back. Prichard goes for another ripcord jumping knee strike. But as soon as Cure is rolled out in front of Prichard, he counters with a Sling Blade! Cure then takes Prichard, runs and tosses him over the top to the floor! Gareth Prichard Jr - ELIMINATED Cure continues to shout down at Prichard until Carmichael delivers a clothesline from behind, knocking him over the top rope and to the floor! Marlon Cure - ELIMINATED Across the ring, Alexander and Talbot are seen choking each other against the ropes. The two try to gain the upper hand until Sparrow runs over, grabs them by the legs and dumps them both over the top to the floor! Sloan Talbot - ELIMINATED Logan Alexander - ELIMINATED Kris Cruise: Sparrow just eliminated Talbot and Alexander at once! The cheers continue for Sparrow until Taylor runs up from behind and cracks him across the back of the neck with a running bicycle knee strike! After Sparrow drops down to all fours, Taylor marches over and scales the turnbuckles. The crowd erupts with boos when she flips of and flattens him with the Ultimecia (Phoenix Splash)! Kris Cruise: Stephy Auger: It’s over! The Las Vegas Siren picks up Sparrow, runs and tosses him over the top rope! Taylor turns and raises his arms in the air. But unbeknownst to her, Sparrow is hanging onto the top rope with both hands. Taylor turns around and does a double take when she sees Sparrow. So she runs over and tries to knock him off the ropes with a baseball slide. The crowd gasps when Sparrow barely avoids the strike by pulling himself over the top rope and back into the ring. Sparrow lands on his feet and stumbles back. Taylor then slides back inside before charging at Sparrow. The Las Vegas Siren lunges at Sparrow for a spear! The crowd gasps, then cheers when Sparrow leaps up and counters with The Notorious K.I.C.K. (Standing Double Foot Stomp) to the back! Sparrow then takes Taylor, runs and tosses her over the top to the floor! Savannah Taylor - ELIMINATED Kris Cruise: There goes your pick, Stephy! Stephy Auger: NOOO! SAVANNAH! Sparrow turns around and sees Carmichael standing in the center of the ring. The reigning Legacy Champion slowly makes his way over towards him. Kris Cruise: Listen to this crowd, Stephy! Stephy Auger: NO! I don’t want to! The two stare each other down until Sparrow gets socked with a right hand! The boos continue when Carmichael blasts him with another right hand. Sparrow is then hit with two punches to the gut before getting knocked down with a European Uppercut. He then delivers an irish whip before following Sparrow across the ring. Instead of crashing into the corner, Sparrow runs up the turnbuckles, backflips off the top and over Carmichael, lands on his feet and turns to hit the ropes. Carmichael runs back towards the center of the ring to knock Sparrow’s head off with a lariat. Sparrow ducks with a baseball slide. The Legacy Champion gets back to his feet, rushes over and knocks Carmichael back with a front dropkick. Sparrow returns to his feet with a kip up, rushes back over and brings him down with a running hurricanrana. The cheers continue as Carmichael gets back to his feet before a dropkick returns him to the mat. Once Carmichael returns to a vertical base, Sparrow knocks him down with a falling crescent kick. NO! Carmichael ducks the kick. Once Sparrow lands and turns around, Carmichael throws out a kick to the midsection. Sparrow quickly catches his foot before knocking him down with a Windmill Kick! Kris Cruise: What a counter! Sparrow picks up Carmichael and whips him into the corner. He runs across the ring, hops on Carmichael and goes to throw him out of the corner with a monkey flip. But Carmichael holds onto the top rope, causing Sparrow to fall off and smack the back of his head against the canvas. Kris Cruise: Carmichael stuffed that attempt out of the corner. Stephy Auger: Tweety Bird’s had his fun. Now it’s time for Carmichael to chuck him all the way ito the fifth row. The boos continue as Carmichael puts the boots to Sparrow. He then yanks Sparrow up off the mat before whipping him hard into the far corner. Sparrow crashes sternum-first into the corner before stumbling back. Carmichael grabs him from behind, hoists him up and throws him down with the Tahara (full nelson slam over the knee)! The boos continue as he grabs Sparrow by the hair, drags him over towards the side of the ring and chokes him across the middle rope for a good seven seconds. While Sparrow gasps for air, Carmichael takes off into the far ropes. Carmichael rebounds off the ropes, runs back across the ring and smashes Sparrow in the face with the 718 (with an opponent lying on the ropes, Carmichael runs in and swings a knee through the ropes to knee them in the head)! He reaches down, pulls Sparrow back up and tosses him through the ropes to the apron. Carmichael reaches out, grabs Sparrow and positions him across the middle rope before bringing him down with the Khartbreyk (rope hung swinging neckbreaker)! Stephy Auger: Sparrow’s getting outclassed here. Kris Cruise: I wouldn’t say that. But it’s not looking good for the Legacy Champion, I’ll say that much. Carmichael grabs Sparrow by the hair and slowly pulls him of the mat. Sparrow hits Carmichael with right hands to the midsection. But Carmichael’s able to absorb the blows before bringing him down with Divorced From Reality (single arm DDT)! Sparrow rolls away from Carmichael and sits up while he guards his arm. But after being hoisted into the air, Sparrow lands across Carmichael’s shoulder with a front facelock, spins and plants him with a Tornado DDT! Stephy Auger: GAH! Both grapplers remain on their backs until Sparrow returns to his feet with a kip up. Carmichael sits up, but Sparrow is right there to flatten him with a running penalty kick! He then puts the boots to Carmichael with stomp after stomp before pulling him back to his feet. Carmichael reverses an irish whip, sending Sparrow into the ropes. Sparrow comes off the rebound and knocks Carmichael down with a falling crescent kick! Sparrow returns him to the mat with the Leaf Hurricane! As Carmichael struggles to get back up, Sparrow takes off into the ropes. The Legacy Champion rebounds back and brings him down with a running hurricanrana! NO! Carmichael blocks, leaving Sparrow hanging upside down. Kris Cruise: Uh oh... Carmichael slowly lifts Sparrow back up to his shoulders. He then spins around before throwing Sparrow down hard with a sitout powerbomb! The boos continues as Carmichael grabs him by the hair before slowly peeling him off the mat. After taking control of Sparrow back, Carmichael sends him stumbling back with No Regrets (ripcord stunner)! Carmichael then charges forward and connects with a lariat, sending Sparrow over the top and to the floor! In the backstage locker room area, a close up profile shot of the Undisputed Champion is shown. The crowd audibly reacts with jeers in the background to the visual of the champ, who is standing with her arms folded across her chest. There is a clear sign of agitation on her face as she takes a deep breath. The camera begins to pan back and we notice that the champion is not alone. The former FGA World Champion Seth Iser is putting the brace on his left knee. He’s wearing a pair of tights that’s new for FGA that has a brown base. One notable thing is that since we last saw him wrestle, he’s put a little more toned muscle everywhere as it seems he’s continued to get himself in the best shape he can.
But from a facial expression it’s very clear he’s far from being in a pleasant mood. As he turns toward the person he’s with. It’s a welcome visit otherwise there’d be yelling.
Cordelia Stevenson: It’s crazy. It really is. Yet people try to make me seem as if I’m delusional. But I know damn well I’m not the only one that sees what’s going on around here.
She nods towards Seth.
Cordelia Stevenson: I know you see it too. They’re doing you so damn dirty. The former FGA World Champion… the man who rightfully deserves a rematch for this Undisputed Championship… how are you not given the opportunity to enter last? Instead they throw you in some random six person tag match?
You can hear the disgruntled sigh coming from Seth’s mouth.
Seth Iser: Hell, I’m not even in a match to try to enter right in the damn middle though I can at least say the six person tag isn’t random because I’ve been involved on some level with all three opponents on the opposite side. Even my partners to an extent too...I’m kind of the uniting thread in that match. Either I’m the person they want to be...or I’m the person they want to overcome.
He rubs his temple for a moment as he’s thinking of something else.
Seth Iser: But...think bigger picture, Cordy. It’s worse than you think if you really dig down and see the extent of it all. It isn’t about me or the Rumble itself but the message itself being sent. You tell these kids what this life is like...how hard you have to work to even have a chance to enter these halls. To dress in this damn locker room. But just because of what someone had done...they can walk in and be gifted something? Imagine the message that can send to young wrestlers…
And then Iser’s face contorts into something far more darker and sinister. A mixture of fury and worry with the disposition to want to lash out.
Seth Iser: Hell...think of what your challenger, Cordy...could also be representing to someone like my daughter who does harbor thoughts of getting into this industry. Imagine the message sent there. Imagine the message being sent to her watching how this was laid out as well. When you digest it from THAT angle...it’s way more fucked up then what you originally thought now isn’t it?
And now there’s that sneer that looks utterly poisonous from Seth...again more along the lines of who he once was even if the motivation is far different.
Seth Iser: She feels ashamed of this sport, Cordelia. Do you understand how that can make a parent feel when their child rightfully feels that way?
Cordelia remains silent, her brows furrowing as she listens intently to what Seth has to say. She steeples her hands together, placing them in front of her face.
Cordelia Stevenson: You know, it’s funny… Fujiko tried to imply something like that about me… but the circumstances were very different. In a battle royal, there’s no advantage. You’re in there from the very beginning and the only goal is to survive. The match begins with every single competitor in the ring and once that bell rings, it’s all strategy. From the moment I stepped in, I was targeted. I was pounced on. There was no distinct advantage for me in that match. This situation here though? With Chandler being given the chance to enter last in the Gold Rush Rumble?
Cordelia chuckles.
Cordelia Stevenson: I wonder if our dear Fujiko will call foul on that?
She scoffs and shakes her head., running a hand through her hair.
Cordelia Stevenson: You and I both know she won’t. She tends to turn a blind eye to things if it involves someone that speaks highly of her. Once again, the hypocrisy of Fujiko Mine on full display.
Seth Iser: Izzy doesn’t have a vaccine from this. She ain’t exempt either.
There’s a coldness cutting in from Iser’s voice. Cordy’s mouth grows taut at the mentioning of IzzyPop. It looks as if she’s about to interject with something but Iser continues on.
Seth Iser: I get it. You two are cordial but Izzy and I will forever be on opposite sides. Vincent’s damn leg ain’t healed fully from that you know but it seems I remember history better then these fans. People didn’t like him so they cheered his misfortune until they realized what that meant. His career as a manager ended. But he rebuilt...doing well for himself now. Then again...unlike Ben Simmons, the Sixers organization, or anybody who buys a ticket...at least we’re willing to take a shot and the heat that comes with it.
Even at twenty percent full, it is impossible to not hear the entire audience passionately hiss with boos at that particular statement.
Seth Iser: But I never claimed to be a nice guy from the day I stepped in the industry. Neither did Vincent for that matter. We just have a habit of calling a spade a spade.
And you can see Iser’s eyes close for a brief moment as if he’s thought his actions through.
Seth Iser: If I get my way...somebody’s getting hurt tonight. Hurt bad. And neither of’m would escape without a wound of some sort.
There’s then a darkening of Seth’s face as he’s literally made terms with what he wants to do.
Seth Iser: Just...there’s going to be some wide sweeping consequences for everyone if it happens. You’re aware of what they are, I’d hope. Because it wouldn’t be done out of a place of joy, you know. You will get caught in the crossfire and nobody will be the same once it’s all played out.
Finally Seth just shakes his head while half of a smile is on his face.
Seth Iser: The irony of it all. The right thing to do in a situation is one that’s outwardly shameful in our industry but if it isn’t done...well...it has a far lasting and greater personal shame.
Cordelia’s eyes widen at Iser’s grim declaration. There is a moment of silence as the realization sets in on exactly what he’s thinking.
Cordelia Stevenson: I’ll always be caught in the crossfire no matter what happens.
A feigned sigh as she leans back against the wall, adjusting the Two titles that rest on her shoulders. Seth almost has that look to say ‘that’s our job.’
Cordelia Stevenson: Heavy is the head… you know how the saying goes. But I agree. Something needs to be done. Lenny isn’t slick with the shit he’s trying to pull, and I can see the play coming from a mile away. Fujiko getting a shot at my Undisputed Championship when there are still so many more worthy challengers; Chandler getting the chance to possibly enter the rumble last? I see exactly what they’re going for. They’re trying their damndest to remove me from the equation, but it isn’t going to happen.
She pushes off the wall now, standing up straight, her face twisting into a snarl.
Cordelia Stevenson: Unfortunately for them, there’s absolutely nothing I love more than playing the role of spoiler.
She takes a deep breath and her facial expression relaxes.
Cordelia Stevenson: Things aren’t gonna go the way they want them to. I’m going to make sure of it.
She looks at the Undisputed Championship around her waist.
Cordelia Stevenson: Fujiko damn sure ain’t leaving Only the Strong Survive with this.... and as for the Golden Boy…
Cordelia shifts her gaze to Iser and smirks. She gives a casual shrug and rattles off her best Drago impersonation.
Cordelia Stevenson: … well… if he dies, he dies. That’s just something Lenny and the FGA will have to live with for playing this game and not understanding who they were trying to play it with.
There’s a frown protruding off of Iser’s face as he’s thought this thorough.
Seth Iser: Alea iacta est.
Seth says that quote from Caesar before the Civil War in Rome happened and he balls his hand in a fist.
Seth Iser: It’s beyond a god damned game where this is going. It’ll be a damn war. That’s what that damn Gold Rush’ll be, especially if who I have planned gets that damn thirty spot. That’s what your match with Fujiko is quite frankly. The only thing you get out of winning a war...is being able to write in the history books.
The frown stays constant on Iser’s face as one of the most devious players to ever play the game has the gears spinning.
Seth Iser: My decision was already made the moment they announced the stakes for that damn match, not the match itself. But you’d be surprised who might agree with how we feel even if they disagree with the actions. Just they don’t want to take the heat that might come with actually feeling that way and that's their choice.
Seth shrugs in a nonchalant manner before he continues speaking.
Seth Iser: But if you don’t mind...before I do what needs to be done on that front, I have to go find Mark and Ace. It’d be unprofessional on my part if I didn’t give them everything I could do in that six person tag. They have their own grudges with a couple of the people there...people I know better than anybody else in the locker room for that matter. Those two might feel similarly to how we feel as well you know even if the way they get to that conclusion might be different.
Cordelia nods her head, stepping aside as Iser rises to his feet.
Cordelia Stevenson: You’d be quite surprised too at how many people share my sentiments. They’re not as willing to be as vocal…
She smirks knowingly.
Cordelia Stevenson: … just yet. But that’s a decision they’ll come to make in their own time. I’ve removed the blinders and people are finally starting to see things for what they are. I’m truly starting to see things for what they are. For what they’ve always been. And I’m fighting to make things right. Fujiko. Chandler… they’re but mere cogs in the machine, but essential components nonetheless. Components that must be removed.
Cordelia’s gaze drifts for a moment as she gets lost in thought. She looks back to Iser and nods her head.
Cordelia Stevenson: Do as you must. What will be, will be.
Seth’s face doesn’t change as Cordelia makes her leave and with that, Seth grabs the tape and starts to make his leave as well to start to search out his partners for tonight.

We join Ashley Sands as she is sitting by herself backstage. Sitting on a bench, Ashley is still dressed in her ring gear still as a pair of jeans and a t-shirt sit next to her. Beads of sweat still on her face and her hair obviously still moist, she has not even cleaned herself up yet after her tag team match earlier. After running a hand through her sweaty hair, she pulled it away from her face as she looked up at the came.
Ashley Sands: I often ask myself just why I do this. Be a part of the wrestling business. It’s not like I need to do it anymore. I could easily just walk away and call it a career and go all in on the number of other pies I’ve got my thumb in. Streaming, acting, writing, my music, you name it. Eight years. That’s how long I’ve been at this now. Most people can’t hack it at a nine-to-five job for that long let alone hang in an industry as intense as this.
Ashley pauses for a moment, reflecting on some of the past.
Ashley Sands: I first got into this out of spite. I was a little brat kid that wanted to take what my cousin did doing this and not just top it but I wanted to do it in record time. Now all these later, I’m still at it. She’s off in Hawaii raising the kids I’m a godmother to and I still have my nose in the middle of it all. I’ve surpassed her and run laps around her, more than doubling her career.
Pausing, her lips curl up into a smile.
Ashley Sands: After awhile it got to be more than being that petty little bitch fresh out of high school that wanted to show off how good she is for the world to see. Friendships came from the weirdest of places. I met Ang because of wrestling. Career opportunities on the outside sprang up because I made a name for myself doing this. I have the life I have now because of wrestling. And for that I will always be grateful.
Ashley looks down as she hangs her head, letting out a heavy sigh.
Ashley Sands: But it’s also given a lot of crap burgers over the years. Best friends I thought would be at my side for life have stabbed me in the back. My ex-boyfriend turned into a complete and total psycho. Despite all of the achievements I have gathered over the years, being the longest ever reigning Bloodlust champion, winning a rumbled for a shot a company’s top prize, multiple tag team title reigns with several partners, making a name for myself by building a legacy from the ground up, highs like that are usually accompanied by something that eventually brings it crashing down.
Looking up at the camera again, a tinge of sadness is clear in her brown eyes.
Ashley Sands: That shot at a world title was against my previously mentioned psychotic ex. Two of the three people I’ve held tag titles with hit me when I was least expecting it. I was an inch away from winning FGA’s first ever Rey Del Aire. My recent time as 15 Champion isn’t something I’m proud of either. I should’ve done better. If I stand back and take a good look at my career, I see myself as someone that was good but when it comes to really being someone people will remember as being great…
Ashley stops, holding up a hand with her forefinger and thumb an inch apart.
Ashley Sands: Missed it by THAT much. That can’t be my legacy. So it’s fitting that my next match is for FGA’s Legacy Championship. Talk about ironic. I don’t hate you, Sparrow. Hell I don’t even dislike you. If you really think about it we have a lot in common if you think about it. But the hard ugly truth is that I NEED to beat you. You have something that will keep me from fading away into obscurity and mediocrity like way too many that’ve laced up a pair of boots have. So despite not having anything against you personally, I will do whatever I need to between the times that the bell rings to get it done this time. Afterwards and I beat you for the right to be called Legacy Champion, I’m all for going out for a beer or two… or twelve despite how ugly and personal it gets in the ring. I have not spent the last eight years of my life, grown as much as I have as a person, climbed the career mountains and fallen off the cliffs that I have, known joy and sorrow because of this business for my legacy to be remembered as “Mrs. Missed-It-By-That-Much.” There’s the saying that an animal is most dangerous when cornered. Well I’m pretty much backed up against that proverbial wall with nowhere left to go but through you. And for what I feel like I have no other choice but to do, I apologize.
Ashley stands up and walks off camera to get herself cleaned up as the camera fades to black.

The scene transitions to Chandler Scott, whose image is immediately met with cheers from the crowd. Chandler is currently occupying space somewhere backstage. The DNA of FGA continue to rub his wrist as he address the camera.
Chandler Scott: Two spots... on opposite ends of the spectrum. Two spots... that can more or less seal a person's fate. Number 1 and Number 30. That's what's on the line. That's what will be decided in tonight's main event. Number 30 is the prized possession. Being number 30 gives you the biggest advantage of all inside of a Gold Rush Rumble. While no one has won from the 30 spot... yet, it does give you the greatest shot at being there at the end. On the other hand, you have Number 1. People love to be number one in a lot of things in life. They love to be number 1 in their field. They love to be the first to finish a race. We love to be the first option, the first selection. But no one, absolutely no one, wants to be first inside of the Gold Rush Rumble. Over the years you've heard people, including myself, talk about how they were going to eliminate 29 other men and women to win the Gold Rush Rumble. Well, if someone is unlucky enough to receive number 1, then that is literally what they'll have to do. That's what she'll literally have to do because Izzy? That is going to be your fate after tonight.
Chandler points at the camera and directly at Izzy Anders.
Chandler Scott: This thing? This thing right here?
Chandler takes that same finger and starts to move it back and forth between himself and the camera.
Chandler Scott: This has been a long time coming, hasn't it? You have yearned for this opportunity for years. You've wanted this. You've wanted this chance, this opportunity to see me inside a ring. But just the two of us. No partners. No distractions. Just you and me, one on one, to settle an old score.
A smirk follows.
Chandler Scott: Do you remember it, Izzy? Because I do. I remember it as clear as yesterday. Do you remember the first time you and I ever shared a ring with each other? It was on this very show in this very state. As a matter of fact, it was on the very first edition of this show. That's right, Izzy. You and I were the ones headlining the first-ever Vertigo. What did they call it? The "Mixed Bag Six Man Tag". Myself, Johnny Cannon, Evangelista. On the other side of the ring was you, Sean Sands a woman that I know you still hold in such high regard to this day, the lovely Noelle Smith.
That last bit was dripping with sarcasm. He knew good and well that Izzy still couldn’t stand Noelle.
Chandler Scott: Do you remember how that match ended? Of course you do. Yours truly, as was often the case in 2015, got his hand raised as the winner while you, Izz? You were knocked out unconscious on the floor after I gave you a Mass Spike off the apron. You know, I can still hear your whining in the aftermath of that show. You scolded me doing what I did. You whimpered aloud about how you were just a rookie and how I could have won another way. But I'll tell you now exactly what I told you then. You were an opponent. Dropping you on your head was fair game. But ever since that date, Izzy, you've held a grudge against me. You didn't exactly like me before hand, judging by the big F You you gave me in the aftermath of your Mid-Atlantic Legacy Title win from that previous July. But on that night, Izzy? That's when you really started to have a bone to pick with me. Over the years, that grievance turned into disdain. That disdain turned into a borderline hatred. Did you ever put me on the shelf for nearly half the year like a certain Tenacious Lil Scumbag? No. Did you ever wage a war against me like you did against Asherman? No. Did you ever show the same hostility towards me that you did to Johnny Karma? No. But you still detested me. My name always left a bitter taste in your mouth. For years, you waited patiently until the day that we would finally cross paths again. Well, here we are.
Chandler spreads his arms out wide and welcomes whatever comes next.
Chandler Scott: Being put in the ring against someone of your caliber was never going to be easy. But when you add this little caveat to the mix? When you add in this stipulation of the winner getting number 30 and the loser getting number 1? It just means that the stakes are raised that much higher.
Chandler takes his right hand and raises it as high as he can above his head before lowering it back down.
Chandler Scott: Which means that you're going to come at me even harder than you were already going to.
A nod.
Chandler Scott: You've done a lot of great things in your career, Izzy. Unlike certain people, whose names only ring loudly throughout these halls, you actually ventured outside these halls and made yourself known worldwide. We have that in common, don't we? We have something else in common, as well. This main event? It's not just a match between two former top champions. Me, a Heavyweight/World/International Heavyweight Champion; you, an Undisputed Champion. This is a match between two Hall of Famers. A lot of great names have walked through those doors over the last nine and a half years. No matter how great those names were, very few of them reached the top championship status that you and I did. Even fewer climbed the mountain and breathed in that rarified air that's only reserved for us Hall of Famers. But taking it from worldwide and focusing solely on this company, you've done many a great things. Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champ. United States Tag Champ. Pride Champ. Undisputed Champ. Dynamic Duos. Awards. Triple Crown. Grand Slam. You've done things in this company that I've never accomplished. You deserve your congratulations. Not simply because you've achieved things that I haven't, but because you've done that things the majority of those great names never did. I mean, you became a Triple Crown and a Grand Slam winner in the same night. The first person ever to do that here and the only other person to do it? Was your former rival turned friend turned tag partner. To say that you made good on your potential would be an understatement. You did more than "make good". You went out there in this ring week after week, month after month, year after year and made... greatness. Whether they loved you, whether they hated you, you went out there and made greatness.
A beat.
Chandler Scott: Despite all that, something doesn't sit right with you. Something still doesn't seem complete to you. It's not the lack of a Gold Rush Rumble. It's not the lack of a Frontier Lions Cup. It's that one on one win... over me.
Another smirk.
Chandler Scott: Some would call that arrogance on my part but Izzy, we both know it's true. Six years ago you would have been shaking like a leaf at the prospect of being put in there one on one against me. You didn't want people to even utter the thought of you challenging me. The words came right out of your mouth. "I don't have the strength to do that yet". I REPEAT, “I don't have the strength to do that yet". Hmm…
Chandler rubs his hand as he ponders.
Chandler Scott: Six years later? You welcome the challenge. You embrace the challenge. That scared little rookie is now a bonafide killer. Mindkilla. Dreamkilla. Over the years, Izzy, you've broken records and broken bodies. Tonight, you look to break me in that ring. Like you, I too look forward to the challenge. In the days leading up to our match, I took you on a trip down memory lane of our sordid past. But there was one bit that I intentionally left off.
Chandler shakes his pointer finger.
Chandler Scott: Do you remember April 9, 2017? Because I do. The was that day you proudly proclaimed to the world that Chandler Scott wouldn't be a problem for you. Hmm. Chandler Scott... won't be a problem... for Izzy Anders. That's cute. You know, you tried to clean it up beforehand with the whole, "I will say this as respectfully as I can" bit. But whenever someone says, "with all due respect", you know some disrespect is guaranteed to follow. Izzy Anders? Tonight, I make you eat those words. No disrespect, of course.
Another smirk follows.
Chandler Scott: For years, Izzy, you've viewed me as an enemy. Why, I don't know. I personally think I'm a rather swell fellow…
Chandler places a hand over his heart as he looks off. The line gains laughs from the audience as they know that’s not been the case at time. Chandler returns his view to the camera.
Chandler Scott: But for yours, I've been on your hated list whereas I just never had that same energy for you. I mean yeah, sure, I've gone long periods of time without liking your ass, either. I'm even pretty sure I've told you to F off on occasion. But hate? No, I never felt that same way towards you. It wasn't because I viewed you as a non-threat. You were always a threat. It wasn't because I was overlooking you. Who would dare? I simply had bigger issues to deal with at the time. Our past has been an interesting one, hasn’t it? Between me telling you to go fall off a cliff and you threatening to shoot me, I’d like to think that there was mutual respect there. At the very least, I know there was a crush on your part.
Chandler immediately puts both hands up towards the camera, as if to implore Izzy not to throw the nearest blunt object she could find at the TV.
Chandler Scott: Search your feelings. You know it to be true.
Chandler smirks before puckering his lips at the camera.
Chandler Scott: Tonight, the latest chapter in this history gets written. Tonight? You, my dear, are my sole focus. You are the one thing that is standing in my way from either having THE advantage in the Gold Rush Rumble... or having a really long, painful night. Izzy, I want this. No, I need this. If I end up being on the wrong end of this? So be it. But since our mutual friend Cordelia Stevenson took it upon herself to put a bounty on my head... yeah, I kind of need that number 30 spot. I will do what needs to be done to win this main event. I will do what needs to be done to secure that number 30 spot. Izzy? I will do what I have to do to get my hand raised tonight. If that means dropping you on your head again? So be it. Just this time? Please be a doll and don't hold it against me for another six years, okay? I'd greatly appreciate it.
He scoffs before continuing.
Chandler Scott: Tonight, two Hall of Famers clash one on one for the first time ever. I won't call it a Dream Match because that's a phrase that's quickly getting played out as of late. But this is highly-anticipated. This will be highly regarded. This will be the best of the best and in the end, Izz? Every head will bow and every tongue will confess that Chandler Reigns Supreme.
Chandler winks at the camera before marching off.

SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH Lowri Moss, Tyler Storm, Patrick Jones vs. Seth Iser, Ace Voltage, Mark Bisley The arena lights dim to almost pitch blackness, save for a couple of blue lights that pulse in sync with the intro to "Storms End" that is rising in pitch and intensity until the main hook burst forth and, at that very second, the ramp is bathed in blue light as Mark Bisley strides onto the ramp with his head bowed and an arm raised before he comes to a stop on the ramp and raises his head to survey the arena wearing one hell of a self-satisfied smirk upon his face. J.A. Aldridge: The following Six Man Tag Team contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota! Weighing in at 201 pounds! He is the reigning FGA 15 Champion… MARK BISLEY! Keeping his arm raised as he makes his way down the ramp, Bisley walks at his own pace as he confidently walks to the ring at his own pace right up until he reaches the ringside area, and once he reaches the ringside area he lowers his arm and breaks into a short dash to give him the momentum to hop onto the ring apron where he crouches for a moment and taps the side of his head a couple of times to the song's beat before he rolls backwards into the ring and quickly gets back to his feet. Once he's got to his feet Bisley makes his way to the nearest corner and climbs the nearest turnbuckles where he stands with one foot on the top rope and his arms held out wide as he slowly tilts his head back for a few seconds until he turns his head and peers back into the ring and climbs down, removing the towel from around his shoulders the second his feet touch the canvas and casually tossing it in the referee's direction as he takes a few steps forward so he's standing in the centre of the ring where he drops to a knee and runs his hand on the canvas to say one thing: this is my ring. The arena goes dark and "Thunderstruck by AC/DC starts blaring over the sound system. As the words "THUNDER" are shouted into the arena each time, the lights flash yellow. I WAS CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF A RAILROAD TRACK A white spotlight shines on the ramp and Ace Voltage appears from backstage, once the lyrics start going. He is wearing a black jacket with his name on the back and his light blue tights. He shines a smirk to the crowd, zips open the jacket to show off his torso and the rest of the lights come on, with yellow and blue lighting flashing around. He walks down the ramp, nodding his head to the music, laughing to himself when he hears the boos and insults from the crowd. As he's going down the entrance ramp, he walks close to the guardrail ready to slap the hands of the one or two fans. Before he can slap their hands, he quickly rips his hands away, smirks to the booing fans and walks down to the ring. J.A. Aldridge: His partner, hailing from London, England! Weighing in at 15.8 stone… ACE VOLTAGE! He jumps up onto the apron and steps into the ring. He walks to the corner, jumping on the second rope, looking out into the crowd. He raises an arm in the air, smirking and smiling to the fans. After a few seconds, he jumps down, takes his jacket off and waits for the match to start. The lights dim down as the music begins to play. Soon enough, Seth Iser slowly walks through the curtain with that familiar scowl on his face. He starts walking down to the ring...glare etched on his face and listening to the fans boo him. J.A. Aldridge: Their partner, hailing from Morgantown, Wets Virginia! Weighing in at 240 pounds… SETH ISER! A methodical, slow walk as he cracks his knuckles on the way down before pulling himself up onto the apron and enters the ring calmly before performing a crucifix pose at the center of the ring to revive the lights. He then goes to his corner and slinks to a seat just waiting for the bell to ring. Stephy Auger: Look at this team, Cruise! Just look at ‘em! This is a team that is packed with talent. Seth Iser, the 2020 Wildcard Lottery winner, the odds on favorite to win the 2021 Gold Rush Rumble! Ace Voltage, the GREATEST Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion of all-time and soon-to-be new Pride Champion! You have Mark Bisley, who is quickly making his name as the greatest 15 Champion ever! These other losers? They don’t stand a chance! Kris Cruise: This is an impressive collection of talent. The only thing more impressive would be if they can all put their egos to the side for the greater good, which I highly doubt! "I Won't Back Down" by Burn Halo fills the arena. At the first drum beats, a spotlight flickers on the entrance way with Jones coming out as the bass starts in a surge of energy. He spins a full circle with his arms stretched out to revel in the crowd's energy. The spin completes at the top of the ramp where Jones drops to a knee with a big, over-handed fist pump. PJ takes a moment to enjoy the cheers around him and collect his thoughts before hopping to his feet. J.A. Aldridge: Their opponents! First, hailing from Louisville, Kentucky! Weighing in at 235 pounds… PATRICK JONES! He jogs down the ramp, talking to and high-fiving fans, trying to get them as pumped up and ready to go as he is. Jones goes straight from the ramp and jumps onto the ring apron before ducking through the second and third rope, giving another, slower spin just to drink in the environment. The lights begin to slow fade out to the opening tunes of "Eye of the Tiger" before flashing quickly back on once the rifts of the guitar begin playing, along with being met with flashes of blue and gold light on the stage. Once the song picks up into its normal tune about 25 seconds in, Tyler Storm rushes out from behind the curtain to a positive pop, bobbing his head to the beat of the song and mouthing out to the fans. J.A. Aldridge: His partner, hailing from Tuscaloosa, Alabama! Weighing in at 215 pounds! He is the reigning FGA Pride Champion… TYLER STORM! Once the lyrics start, Tyler begins making his way down the ramp, walking along the left for the first half of his trek to the ring and high-fiving fans or talking with them, and doing the same in the second half of his walk on the right side. Before long he reaches ringside and after interacting with a few more people at ringside, he works his way up the stairs onto the ring apron. He rubs his feet off for a few moments, then gripping onto the top rope he jumps up and slides his legs in between the top and middle ropes and into the ring. The song goes on for a few more moments with Storm motioning out to the crowd for a reaction before rushing to one side of the ring just as the drawn out "Eye of the Tiger" lyric hits, landing his right foot on the bottom rope and his left on the middle rope with his arms spread out open with the audience cheering. He then hops back off the ropes and walks over to his corner as the music fades. “Loner Boogie” by Boy Azooga plays over the PA system, and once the song's intro finishes, through the curtains - and out onto the stage - walks Lowri Moss, who is greeted by a cheer. Lowri takes a moment to scan the crowd, before making her way towards the ring, and as she does so, she slaps the hands of some of the fans that reach out to her. J.A. Aldridge: Their partner, hailing from Lanelli, Wales! Weighing in at 142 pounds… LOWRI MOSS! After arriving at ringside, Lowri climbs the steps up onto the ring apron and steps through the ropes, before heading for one of the corners and climbing to the second rope. There are further cheers and applause for Lowri from the fans, and as she again surveys the crowd, she gestures to them by making the ILY sign with her right hand, in acknowledgement of their reaction to her arrival. Kris Cruise: You talked about the talent on the other side, but what about the talent on this side, Stephy? We’ve got the number one contender for the 15 Championship! We’ve got the reigning Pride Champion! We’ve got the winner of last year’s Gold Rush Rumble! We’ve got talent on both sides of the ring. Stephy Auger: What you’ve got is a group of goodie two shows that won’t do what it takes to get the job done. They're not cut from the same cloth as Seth Iser or Cordelia Stevenson. Maybe if Lowri was willing to do whatever it took to win, she would have won the International Championship at All-Star Showdown last year! Patrick Jones and Mark Bisley elect to start things off for their respective sides. The reigning 15 Champion and his next challenger proceed to circle the ring before locking up. Both grapplers jockey for position in the collar-and-elbow until Bisley starts to move him back. Once Jones is pressed up against the ropes, the ref heads over and gives them until five to break it up. Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! As soon as both grapplers make a clean break, Bisley quickly grabs Jones by the arm and delivers an irish whip. Jones reverses, sending Bisley into the far ropes. Bisley comes off the ropes and hops over Jones after he drops down to the prone position. The 15 Champion continues to run the ropes. When he comes back, Jones pops back to his feet and leapfrogs over him before he continues to run the ropes. Jones goes for a hip toss off the rebound. Bisley then steps through it and tries for a hip toss of his own. Jones then steps through Bisley’s reversal and tries for another hip toss of his own. Bisley blocks it. Jones tries to muscle him up for another hip toss. Again, Bisley blocks it. Jones then doubles him over with a slap to the midsection. Jones drapes his leg across the back of Bisley’s neck and performs a backflip. When Jones lands, Bisley doubles him over with a rolling solebutt kick to the midsection. The boos continue as he traps Jones in the Iko Uwais (cravat with repeated knees to the head) before bringing him down with Greetings from the Twin Cities (hangman's neckbreaker over the knee)! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Jones kicks out. Kris Cruise: Only two! Stephy Auger: Only a two count, sure. But it’s a previous of what’s going to happen at Only the Strong Survive! Bisley is going to wrestle circles around this man. Bisley picks up Jones, moves him into his team’s corner and unleashes the Minnesota Buzzsaw (repeated shoot kicks to a cornered opponent's chest) before tagging in Ace Voltage. The crowd boos as Voltage gets in and rattles off a series of snapping jabs before nailing Jones with a hard forearm strike. He connects with another forearm strike before Jones nails him with a punch to the face. Voltage shakes it off and connects with another forearm strike until Jones answers back with another right hand. The cheers continue as Jones connects with another right hand. He then turns and catches Bisley with a back elbow before turning and nailing Seth Iser with a back elbow. The cheers quickly turn back to boos when Voltage rakes him across the eyes.
