WRESTLING STYLE:
1. European Catch Wrestling
2. High Impact Grappling Offense
Owen brings a creative, unique mix of catch submission wrestling with high upperbody based attacks and slams, along with a heavy use of aerial counter wrestling. While his style can sometimes be described as stylish, Owen himself is rather intense between the ropes, which creates a nice balance of jaw dropping fluidity and jaw breaking aggression. However he still is an entertainer and his main objective is to put on a great match for the fans every show so if his opponent isn't holding their own, Owen has a tendency to fire them up or get them heated in order to put on a better performance for the audience in attendance, he often does this by taunting them and toying with them with slaps and trash talk. Gonsalves is a 'talker' in the ring, usually audibly interacting with the fans throughout the match and is known to fool around usually in the early stages of his matches. (Style inspiration: Zack Sabre Jr x Daniel Bryan x Aleister Black x Katsuyori Shibata x Timothy Thatcher)
FINISHING MOVES:
1. Angel Duster - Double Underhook Piledriver
2. Krukenberg - Wrist-Bending Omoplata [If the opponent refuses to submit, Owen will often add more aggression to the hold by bending back the fingers of the opponent, bending it in awkward directions or he'll use his free leg to stomp and kick at the opponent's head as seen in the video in order to gain a win.]
3. Ultimate Eye - Half Nelson lifted and dropped into an Olympic Slam [Generally done quickly to an unsuspecting opponent or from out of nowhere to a charging opponent]
4. The 76 - Stepover Toehold Double Wrist Clutch Curb Stomp [Can sometimes be transitioned straight into Krukenberg. The move name is pronounced 'seven six' as it is the last two digits of Owen's hometown zip code.]
TRADEMARK MOVES:
1. Australia Street - Top Rope/Top Turnbuckle Hung Cutter [It's usually done rather swiftly, with the opponent landing awkwardly on their head.]
2. Paroxysm - Snap Dragon Suplex
3. Ashley’s Rose - Double Wrist Clutch Octopus Hold
4. Equivalent Exchange - Grapevine Kimura Lock
5. Golden Arm ‘55 - Grounded Top Wristlock [aka London Dungeon OR Shankly Gates]

ENTRANCE & ATTIRE
ENTRANCE MUSIC:
"Blockbuster Night Part I" by Run The Jewels
RING ATTIRE:
Owen comes to the ring with either a bomber jacket with a metallic Union Jack emblazzed all over it or a plain coloured jacket with the union jack on the left side of the zipper, the colours range from white, black, red and blue. The jackets are restored versions of his mentor's ring jackets. Owen wears trunks ranging from black, white, red or blue and on special occasions wears a restored version of his mentor's trunks which are white on the front with a Union Jack on the back. Gonsalves tends to wear the same color boots as his trunks in order to match. He does not wear knee pads or elbow pads however he does tape his wrists, and will sometimes have kinesio tape strapped on a sore body part.
RING ENTRANCE:
The hard bass of Run The Jewels’ “Blockbuster Night Part I” causes the floor to vibrate as the crowd instantly come to their feet, knowing fully well who is about to make his entrance. All eyes are on the curtain as they wait for his arrival. A white bright light flashes at every beat, and the fans in attendance are slamming anything they can to the beat.
'Bunches and bunches
Punches is thrown until you’re frontless
Oodles and oodles
Bang bullets at suckers' noodles
Last album? Voodoo!
Proved that we was fuckin' brutal
I’m talking crazy, half past the clock is cuckoo'
As soon as the incomparable Killer Mike kicks into his verse, the white flashing light stops and Owen Gonsalves bursts through the curtain with a pace that matches the rhythm of the track. He storms his way to the top of the entranceway and pauses to soak in the electric energy from the crowd, with a smirk on his face as he rolls his wrists while subtly mouthing the words to the song. Once El-P's verse begins, Wristlock Sinatra immediately begins to walk down towards the ring as he has his hands outstretched, his eyes staying focused on the ring he’s about to go to work in.
'Look at these kiddies, Mike
I'm a rat-a-tat 'em for living
I deal in dirty work
Do the deed and then dash
Ditch 'em'
Having made his way to the bottom of the ramp, Owen starts shadow striking to the camera at the bottom of the ramp before feigning a rolling elbow in the camera's direction as El-P says 'ditch 'em' to which the camera reacts accordingly. He paces around the ring, keeping his energy high before plodding up the steps, wiping his feet as soon as he steps on the apron. He moves down the apron and faces the crowd, mouthing a few words to a few of the fans in the front row before he enters the ring. He immediately goes to a corner and begins to warm up and stretch as he awaits the start of the match.

CHARACTER BACKGROUND
PERSONALITY:
While being a face for most of his career, Owen still struggles sometimes with keeping to the morals that he holds for himself. He won't cheat, but he'll make the most of every opportunity and he isn't afraid to take advantage of errors or inexperience. The mix of stylish fluidity and aggression in his style can often get him in hot water, but he lives for the support of the fans, and can be caught defending those loyal to him almost to a fault. His brash nature can sometimes land him in hot water amongst peers and fans alike, usually caught making an ill-timed joke or sarcastic comment, however when it comes down to it, there's not many that can tap into their emotion and passion during a match quite like Owen.
STRENGTHS:
1. Wrestling Encyclopedia - Odds are, he has a counter for the counter of his counter. His ring IQ has beefed up over the years, and he's able to refer back to it incredibly quickly. It's what makes him so fluid and clever in the ring.
2. High Pain Tolerance - It may just be a mentality, or it might come from his experience in deathmatch wrestling, but the lanky shit can take a beating. It'll probably be the undoing of his career, but Owen doesn't know when to give in, so he'll often just take the extent of the punishment until he gets an opening, or his body caves.
3. Killer Instinct - Morality can sometimes get in the way of some wrestlers, and while Owen knows where he draws the line, his desire to walk out with the win means that he won't ever take the pressure off of his opponent, and every opportunity must count for him.
4. Stamina Monster - To make up for his lack of size, Gonsalves has trained his body to have that additional tank on stand by. His high level of cardio training and his experience in lengthy matches throughout his career has meant that he's become a bit of an endurance machine.
WEAKNESSES:
1. Emotions - Sometimes wrestling can get quite personal for Owen, and during these heated rivalries, he can often get caught up in his emotions. This can cloud his judgement if he's not focused or aware of the emotional investment he might have against an opponent. A prime example is his feud with Seth Iser or Ricky Valero.
2. A Powerhouse's Dream - Owen has wrestled around plenty of big men in his time, some would argue he's made a career out of cutting down monsters, however this doesn't mean that he still isn't prone to being thrown around quite easily. He's not as light as he used to be, but his frame makes it quite easy for opponents to get a good grip around him and throw/slam him around if he's not careful.
3. Family-Oriented Individual - He wouldn't ever openly admit it, but it's become very common knowledge that the easy way to open Owen up is to use his family. It takes a bit more nowadays, but there are a multitude of examples of wrestlers exploiting Owen's care for his family to their advantage. This goes hand in hand with the aforementioned emotions.
4. Post-Loss Mentality - It's something that he's constantly trying to work on, but Owen handles losses rather poorly. He doesn't throw tantrums or place blame too often like a heel might, but generally he takes the brunt of the loss on himself. He's set a high standard for himself so he can often get into his own head when he doesn't meet that standard.
TAUNTS/MANNERISMS:
1. For friendly opponents, or matches with less stakes - Owen is known to chat with the fans as they chant or yell stuff during matches or with his opponents as he has them in submission holds (think Kevin Owens)
2. For serious opponents, or heated matches, Owen is known to occasionally paintbrush or outright slap them across the neck or face during the heat of battle, in order to fire the opponent up.
