¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tres! ¡Catorce!
Hello hello (Hola) I'm at a place called Vertigo (Donde esta?) It's everything I wish I didn't know Except you give me something I can feel, feel
Yea, yea, yea, yea, yea, yea, yea, yea Yea, yea, yea, yea, yea, yea, yea, yeaMelrose Ballroom Queens, NY “Loner Boogie” by Boy Azooga plays over the PA system, instantly creating a buzz amongst those present inside Melrose Ballroom, and once the song's intro finishes, Lowri Moss walks out through the curtains, which only causes the cheers to increase in volume. Dressed casually, with her half of the World tag titles over one shoulder, Lowri stands on the stage for a moment, smiling broadly as she surveys the crowd, savouring the reception. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… one half of the FGA World Tag Team Champions, and the winner of the 2020 Gold Rush Rumble… LOWRI MOSS! She makes her way along the ramp, towards the ring, although amidst the current circumstances, there is no slapping of hands with any of the fans on either side of the aisle, as would normally have been the case. Kris Cruise: What a night Only the Strong Survive was for Lowri Moss! After beginning the night by losing the Pride Championship, she rebounded to win the tag team title unification match, together with Neal Durden, before then finally she went on to win the Gold Rush Rumble, setting a new record for the longest time ever in a Rumble in the process, and earning herself a guaranteed shot at one of the two top titles at All-Star Showdown IX. Stephy Auger: If you ask me, Cruise, she had a lot of luck on her side. That triple threat tag team match could easily have gone a different way, and there were multiple occasions during the Rumble where she just barely managed to avoid being eliminated-- lady luck was definitely smiling on her at Only the Strong Survive. After climbing the steps and entering the ring, Lowri heads for one of the corners, climbs to the second rope and gestures to the fans watching, both in the venue and at home, by making the ILY sign with her right hand. Kris Cruise: The question now, following her victory in the Rumble, is which champion will Lowri choose to challenge? Who will she choose to face at All-Star Showdown - the FGA World Champion, Seth Iser, or the International Heavyweight Champion, Cordelia Stevenson? Stephy Auger: If she’s smart, she’ll choose Cordy - she has already lost to Seth once this year, another match with him is something that she should want no part of. Lowri goes to collect a microphone, and as her music fades out, she glances around at the fans that are in attendance, basking in their cheers. She starts by giving her usual greeting. Lowri Moss: What’s occurring, Queens? The customary cheap pop follows, although again it is not as loud a pop as it typically would be, due to the limited number of people that there are inside the building. Lowri Moss: You know, it feels so good to be stood here right now in front of all of you, getting to kick off Vertigo, the first Vertigo after Only the Strong Survive, which of course turned out to be quite the night for yours truly. It was a night that saw me lose a championship, retain a championship, win a championship, and earn a shot at another championship, all within the space of just a few hours; it was the most challenging, most physically demanding night of my career to date, but it was also, without doubt, the greatest night of my career so far. Lowri takes a breath, before continuing. Lowri Moss: As great as Only the Strong Survive was for me, not everything went my way though, because like I alluded to just a moment ago, the first of the three matches that I was in ended with me losing the Pride Championship-- not exactly the way that I had wanted to start my night. I’ve since seen some people say that it was one of the matches of the night, behind Fujiko and Seth, which I’ll admit is kinda nice to hear, but… I still would've preferred the result to have been the other way round! She lets out a chuckle. Lowri Moss: Seriously though, Tyler Storm showed everyone once again just how much he values the Pride Championship, both with how hard he fought throughout our match and then with how he celebrated afterwards, and I wish him all the best going forward, for his second reign as Pride Champion. Those remarks and well wishes are met with polite applause from the fans. Lowri Moss: Now as for the tag titles, and mine and Neal's history-making win at Only the Strong Survive in the triple threat tag team title unification match, you'll get to hear from the two of us later on tonight about that, and about what's next for us in the tag team division. But on the subject of historic wins, that brings me on to the reason why I’m really out here: the Gold Rush Rumble. After taking a couple of seconds to gather her thoughts, Lowri continues. Lowri Moss: Entering the Rumble at number three, it would’ve been difficult enough for me to win it even if I hadn’t already wrestled two other matches earlier in the night; the lowest number that anyone had drawn and gone on to win the Rumble previously was nineteen-- and that was in the first ever Gold Rush Rumble, when there were only nineteen people in the match, not thirty! That person of course being Dom Harter, although Lowri chooses not to mention her long-term rival by name. Lowri Moss: But win it I did. For sixty-five minutes, on just one good leg, I fought, I scrapped, and I survived-- and ultimately, I outlasted every other grappler in the match. Past Rumble winners, World Champions, surprise entrants, old foes-- it was a veritable who's who, not just twenty-nine of FGA’s best, but twenty-nine of the world’s best, and I outlasted them all; a far cry from my only previous appearance in the Rumble, that’s for sure. She tucks a stray strand of hair behind her ear. Lowri Moss: The memories of that night-- from the loss against Tyler, to the win in the triple threat tag match, and then to being stood in this ring at the end of the show, as the winner of the Gold Rush Rumble-- those are memories that are going to stay with me forever. But as much as I would like to stand here and continue to look back on what, like I already said, was the best night of my career so far, I think now instead I need to spend some time looking ahead-- more specifically, I think I need to look ahead to All-Star Showdown IX. There is a buzz amongst the fans in anticipation of what is coming next, clearly knowing what Lowri is getting at. Lowri Moss: Because as you all know, by winning the Gold Rush Rumble, I earned myself a match at All-Star Showdown for either the FGA World Championship, or the FGA International Heavyweight Championship. And so now I have a decision to make: which one should I choose? Should I choose to face the World Champion? Or should I choose to face the International Heavyweight Champion? Should I choose to challenge Seth Iser? The mention of the new FGA World Champion’s name elicits some boos from the fans. Lowri Moss: Or… should I opt to challenge Cordy Stevenson? The boos then turn to cheers. Lowri Moss: Did you boo for Seth and cheer for Cordy because you want me to challenge Cordy, or did you just boo Seth because you don’t like him? Lowri glances around, and there are some shouts from people in the crowd, although nothing that is discernible. She then laughs again, before she continues. Lowri Moss: I’ve had a lot of time now since Only the Strong Survive to consider my options, I’ve been able to give it plenty of thought, and with the position that I’m in, there really is no wrong choice, but eventually, I came to the conclusion that there’s only one champion I want to challenge. Lowri takes a deep breath. Lowri Moss: And so, at All-Star Showdown IX, it’s going to be me versus-- Pause for effect. Lowri Moss: Cordelia Stevenson! Unsurprisingly, that announcement is met with loud cheers, so loud that they belie the limited number of people in attendance. Lowri Moss: And you know what? Since I know she's watching this somewhere backstage right now, I want to invite the International Heavyweight Champion herself to join me out here in the ring. Lowri turns to look towards the entranceway. Lowri Moss: So, Cordy, if you would please do me the honour… Never sell out Sometimes you gotta talk that talk to em, Nipsey Sometimes they can't handle it though... But we don't care...
Yeah This a moment, This special... The opening to “Been Down” by Nipsey Hussle and Swizz Beats begins playing through the arena. As the beat drops, the Melrose Ballroom crowd gives a ridiculous pop as the New York native Cordelia Stevenson emerges from the back. She comes to a stop atop the walkway, glancing around and taking in the reception. A large smile finds itself on her face from the amount of love received from her home crowd. She then shifts her gaze to the woman in the ring. Taking a moment to just stare at Lowri, she gives a slight nod as she continues on down the ramp and towards the ring. She hops up onto the apron, and stands there momentarily, giving a few seconds for the photo op, as she simply glares at her next challenger. Finally she enters the ring, but instead of walking up to Lowri, she instead heads towards the corner turnbuckle and climbs up, raising her International Heavyweight Championship into the air, to a healthy ovation from those lucky enough to be in attendance. Kris Cruise: This hometown crowd is definitely showing the champ some love. New York loves some Cordelia Stevenson. Stephy Auger: They just don’t know any better, Kris. They might be the only ones that love her. Kris Cruise: Oh stop it. She hops back down and saunters towards the ropes, asking for a microphone as the music dies down. The crowd breaks into a loud “Cordy, Cordy!” chant as the International Heavyweight Champion lifts the microphone to her lips to speak. Cordelia Stevenson: I swear it’s always a party with my Queens fam. You can always tell when Queens is in the building! The shout out prompts a loud pop from the crowd, which causes Cordelia to smile. Shifting her weight from one foot to the other, she now turns her attention from the crowd to Lowri. Cordelia Stevenson: Hey, chica, allow me to answer that question you asked earlier. Cordy points out to the crowd. Cordelia Stevenson: They cheered for me… because they love me. The accompanying roar of approval solidifies her statement. Cordelia Stevenson: I don’t necessarily think it was because they hate Seth… She holds up a finger. Cordelia Stevenson: Hold on, wait, let me check. She turns back to face the crowd. Cordelia Stevenson: Do you hate Seth? The question prompts a loud chorus of boos, which causes both Cordy and Lowri to chuckle. Cordelia Stevenson: Ok, maybe they do hate him. But nonetheless, those cheers you heard? That was simply my people showing love. Now whether or not it was because they preferred to see you step into the ring against me, well… let’s ask them again. Is this the match that you guys want to see? Cordelia Stevenson versus Lowri Moss, for the International Heavyweight Championship? The response is what was expected. Cordelia glances from side to side gauging the reaction before finally looking back at Lowri. Cordelia Stevenson: According to them, it seems your decision is one that makes them extremely happy. But… Cordelia pauses for a moment, slowly sauntering around Lowri and looking her up and down. Cordelia Stevenson: ...what about you, chica? Is this really what you want? What you did at Only the Strong Survives? Incredible. I can’t recall ever seeing anything like it to be honest. Sure I’ve wrestled multiple matches in a night on several occasions, like the night I won the Frontier Lion’s Cup, or the night I won the FGA World Title. But, I’ll be honest, what you did, chica, was truly awe inspiring. To be able to not only last as long as you did in the Gold Rush Rumble, but to win it? AFTER having competed in the caliber of matches that you did against Tyler Storm and the tag unification bout… She lets out a deep breath. Cordelia Stevenson: It was perfectly splendid. You’ve worked incredibly hard to stand right here. You’ve earned this decision that you now have to make, AND I know you’re all about making the fans happy but… you have to do what is best for you, chica, and you have to ask yourself, do you really want this smoke? Especially knowing just how much I’m looking forward to this rematch? This is possibly the biggest decision of your career, chica... Cordelia stops directly in front of Lowri, looking straight into her eyes. Cordelia Stevenson: Are you sure this is the choice you want to make? Without any hesitation, Lowri responds with a single nod of her head. Lowri Moss: I’m one hundred percent sure, Cordy. This isn’t a decision that I’ve rushed into, or that I’ve made on a whim. This is something that I’ve thought long and hard about during the past however many weeks, and while facing Seth for a second time, after the match that he and I had at Grapple Kingdom, this time for the World title, that is tempting… a second match with you, this time inside an FGA ring, at the biggest show of the year, with the International Heavyweight title on the line-- that’s an even more enticing prospect. Lowri maintains eye contact with Cordy, as she continues. Lowri Moss: I’m not in fear of anyone else. I’m here to be the best. And if I want to be the best, who better for me to face at All-Star Showdown than one of the only three people to have been both the FGA World Champion and the International Heavyweight Champion? Who better for me to face than one of the only other people besides me to have been a double champion in FGA? And who better for me to face than an FGA Hall of Famer? There is, of course, only one grappler who fits all three of those criteria. Lowri Moss: So yes, Cordy, I’m sure. I want the smoke. The crowd erupts at Lowri’s declaration. Cordelia smiles, almost looking proud of the woman standing in front of her. She then shifts her focus to the fans who seem to be eating the moment up. Finally she returns her gaze back to Lowri and gives an approving nod. Cordelia Stevenson: You’ve got heart, chica. It’s truly one of the many things I admire about you, Lowri. You’re not afraid of a challenge, hell, you seek them out. You’re not afraid to push yourself above and beyond because you know deep down, that greatness knows no limitations. In so many ways, you remind me… of myself. And that’s why I was hoping this would be the choice you’d make, because just like you… Cordy points at her. Cordelia Stevenson: I love a challenge, Lowri. I seek them out; not in a narcissistic sense where I just have to prove that I’m bigger and better than everyone else, no… I just know that it’s the challenges that we face in life that mold us into better versions of ourselves. Nothing is ever gained with complacency. It only stunts growth. With all that I’ve done and all that I’ve accomplished not only in this company, but in this business in general, it would be easy for me to fall back a bit and rest on my laurels. I stand here before you as the most successful International Heavyweight Champion to date; most successful title defenses, the longest reigning International Heavyweight champion ever, and that’s not even counting the days that we lost due to covid. Most don’t even realize it. Maybe it’s because I don’t harp on the numbers every chance I get. Maybe it’s because I don’t need a pat on the back or constant praise to acknowledge a job well done. I just let my work speak for itself because truth be told, it’s not about the numbers for me, and it never really has been. It’s all about being the best me I can be and reaching the fullest of my potential in any and everything that I do. Yes I’ve done a lot in my career, but am I capable of more? Cordy pauses briefly as she takes a step back and shrugs. Cordelia Stevenson: That’s something that I ask myself every day. Not out of greed, but out of necessity. I’m the type that gets bored easily. I’m always looking for something to keep my attention, or something worth giving my attention to, and you are definitely it. Who poses a greater challenge to me than FGA’s Iron Woman? Who poses a bigger threat to my title than one of the very few people in this world who can say that they beat me, and cleanly at that? You are one of the best wrestlers that I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been around this business for quite a while. I’ve seen so many come and go and none of them are you, Lowri. So just as much as you’re looking forward to this opportunity, just know that the feeling is mutual. I’m glad you want the smoke, chica. Cordelia smirks as she takes a step forward towards Lowri. Cordelia Stevenson: Because I’m about to give you all of it. Lowri does not budge an inch, giving Cordy a broad smile. She then extends her hand towards Cordy, which the International Heavyweight Champion quickly accepts with a handshake, while the crowd buzzes loudly at the prospect of this matchup. Kris Cruise: There you have it, folks. Sealed with a handshake. Lowri Moss has chosen to challenge Cordelia Stevenson for her title, and so now at All-Star Showdown IX, it will be the Gold Rush Rumble winner versus the International Heavyweight Champion-- and judging by the noise from these fans, they can’t wait for that one. What a way to kick off tonight’s show! We’ll be right back after this. • COMMERCIAL BREAK •

The camera moves to the backstage area of the Melrose Ballroom, where we find a heated discussion taking place. Actually, to be accurate, it’s more one sided than any, as FGA interviewer Amanda Johnson stands, pinching the bridge of her nose, as none other than Cassius Reed stands opposite her, mouth running a mile a minute as he rants at her.
Cassius Reed: AND WHAT MORE IS THAT CASSIUS WAS WORKIN’ INJURED. THAT’S RIGHT. CASSIUS’ DOCTOR GOT HIM A NOTE AND EVERYTHIN’ EXPLAININ’ THAT CASSIUS HAD A PARTICULARLY STUBBORN BUNION AND HE SHOULDN’T EVEN HAVE BEEN WALKIN’ AND STILL CASSIUS WENT OUT THERE FOR HIS ADORIN’ FANS AND STILL CASSIUS GETS SCREWED OVER.
As he pauses a moment to take a breath, Amanda spies her opportunity.
Amanda Johnson: Cassius, like I’ve said no less than a dozen times, you have to wait for us to go live… what now? OK, ladies and gentlemen, welcome! I’m backstage with Cassius Reed. Cassius, Only The Strong Survive was hardly your finest hour… do you have anything to say about that?
For his part, Cassius has paid no attention to the fact Amanda has even spoken. Because why on Earth would he, he’s Cassius Reed.
Cassius Reed: GIRL HAVE YOU NOT LISTENED TO A SINGLE WORD CASSIUS HAS SAID? Firstly, that tea drinkin’ sucka STOLE Cassius’ rightful championship victory from him with dirty tactics and BIASED OFFICIALISIN’. SECOND - Cassius had his Gold Rush Tournament -
Amanda Johnson: It’s not a tournament.
Cassius Reed: TOURNAMENT victory stolen from him not only by more biased officialisation, but also some sucka riding in here on the GIMMICK INFRINGEMENT EXPRESS. AND CASSIUS WAS WORKING INJURED TOO.
Amanda has obviously had to put up with this for some time, and can’t resist the dig.
Amanda Johnson: So… it was because you were injured? Or because they cheated? Of the biased reffing? It can’t be all three.
The interruption barely causes Cassius to break his stride.
Cassius Reed: IT WAS A COMBINATION AMANDA. AIN’T NO ONE THING, MAN, WOMAN OR HABERDASHER ENOUGH TO THWART CASSIUS REED. NO, IT WAS A CONSPIRACY FROM THE START TO RUIN WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CASSIUS’ CROWNIN’ GLORY, AND INSTEAD GIVE IT TO SOME SUCKAS FROM BREXITLAND. Frankly the whole thing is a travesty of justice, and the only reason Cassius is even doin’ this place a favor by turning out tonight is cause you rocked up on Cassius’ doorstep.
Amanda Johnson: I’m glad you mentioned TJ Techniques… obviously, you face him tonight. I understand you requested this match?
Cassius Reed: You damn right Cassius did. Cassius ain’t about to stand here and have some dollar store knockoff TJ Jones wannabe roll on up in here AND TRY TO SLAP CASSIUS DOWN WIT’ HIS OWN GIMMICK. Sucka please, Cassius understands you tryin’ to learn from greatness BUT THIS IS CASSIUS’ THING. AND CASSIUS DON’T SHARE.
Amanda Johnson: Right, I really don’t think TJ is ripping anyone off personally…”
Cassius Reed: “OH SURE YOU DON’T AMANDA. BECAUSE SUCKA AIN’T OUT HERE CALLIN’ HIMSELF JOHN AMANDASON AND BEIN’ TERRIBLE AT INTERVIEWIN’.
Amanda Johnson: OK that’s it, we’re done here.
As she turns to leave, Cassius grabs the microphone, letting loose in a quick burst.
Cassius Reed: DON’T LISTEN TO THEM! IT WAS A FIX! CASSIUS WAS ROBBED! CASSIUS WILL HAVE JUSTICE! JUSSSSTTTTIIIIIIII-
The feed suddenly cuts, as the crew (finally) kill the feed.

We cut backstage to an empty locker room
Just that, an empty locker room. No wrestlers, no sound, all we can see is the Spartan décor of the Melrose Ballroom, where a lick of white paint is hardly enough to mask the fact that there’s little more than a pile of breeze blocks neatly arranged so that the ceiling doesn’t come crashing down on the heads of anyone who might happen to be in there
And still, there is nothing there. For an uncomfortable amount of time, there is nothing there, just the silence of an empty locker room that we’re looking at because it is what we are being told to look at
Finally, the silence is shattered by the sound of the locker room door being opened, soon followed by John Carmichael walking past the camera with a folding chair under his arm, a folding chair he opens and pointedly places down in front of the camera, managing to be just that little bit off from the centre of the frame and also at a slight angle so when he sits down and looks at the camera he is clearly sitting at an angle, and as he looks directly at the camera he has just one thing he needs to say
John Carmichael: And I bet each and every one of you cheered, didn’t you?
Rather than follow up, Carmichael maintains his fixed gaze directly down the camera lens for a moment, knowing full well where this is going – and how everyone else had better pay attention
John Carmichael: Of course you cheered. You saw an act of selfishness, but rather than call it out for what it was, you celebrated it because selfishness is the one thing which connects each and every one of you with Izzy Anders and you refuse to see the issue with this. You saw one person who was looking to win the Gold Rush Rumble, and you saw somebody who made it their mission to prevent that person winning, and you sided with the person who decided her own petty vendetta was far more important than the championship of the company that she claims to represent and that you claim that you love. You cheered for that. You posted obnoxious tweets about that. You did. Not me, you.
Once again he pauses, and once again he doesn’t deviate his gaze directly down the camera lens
John Carmichael: And that is you hero through and through. Selfish. Vindictive. Self-obsessed and indifferent to anything other than what she wants. And you enable her. Every time you cheer for her, you enable her. Every time you mock the people that she has stepped on to further her own needs, you enable her. Every single time you have to pretend that she didn’t make people’s lives a living hell for months on end just so you can cheer for her, you enable her. And this has got to stop. So let me make this abundantly clear: if you selfish, clueless people who think that Izzy Anders is somebody to look up to refuse to accept that you are wrong, I am going to take her away from you. Not by running her out the door, not by putting her on the shelf, but I will take away the Izzy Anders you have convinced yourself that you love, by exposing her as the selfish, cruel and vindictive person that she is, and proving that in spite all of these supposed qualities she is unable to say that she can beat me. Every last trick, every last gesture, everything that she uses to demean this company that you cheer her for, I will prove they do not work, and where does that leave each of you? Sitting there, hands frozen over your keyboards as you cannot comprehend what you are going to type after seeing what has happened, realising that you have not only enabled a cruel, vindictive person just because it suited you, but you also enabled a cruel, vindictive person who couldn’t even get the job done when she was expected to. That was your hero, and it turns out that she was a lot of talk to mask her numerous failings, and without Heroes Never Die doing her dirty work or her glomming onto Fujiko Mine to remain relevant, she is nothing.
Finally he adjusts his stance, as he leans towards the camera, and that gaze of his just doesn’t budge
John Carmichael: And so tonight’s opponent. Same question: You cheered, didn’t you?
Once again he pauses, leaving the question hanging in the air, and after a moment he leans back in the chair and gestures to the camera with his left hand as if he’s expecting to hear an answer this very second
John Carmichael: You cheered when she colluded with somebody in order to cheat a championship from around the waist of a deserving champion. Now don’t get me wrong, when somebody describes themselves as “Smart” they need to back that up by not being so easily distracted by such an obvious schtick, but that’s another discussion for another time. But that is what Ashley Sands did, collude with her friend in order to rescue her from her inevitable defeat, creating an undeserving champion – and you all think that is the way things should be, because as we know, nobody with the surname “Sands” could ever be a bad person, suggesting so would cause the entire company to combust.
He scoffs at the notion
John Carmichael: Stop enabling selfish people. It is not right. It is not healthy. And, in case you haven’t noticed, it’s not going to win you the Electoral College or popular vote this year.
Carmichael cannot help but chuckle at the last part
John Carmichael: And you know what? I bet it never even occurred to whoever threw this match together that they have picked the sort of person who helps me deconstruct the vision of Izzy Anders, because that is what tonight’s opponent is: selfish, childish, vindictive, and more than happy to make a mockery of this company yet you give her a pass every single time because that’s what you identify with. But I have some good news for you. I’m not going to destroy her and leave her as little more than a blank piece of paper with the imprint her name barely visible, like somebody erasing something written in paper. No, instead I’m just going to defeat Ashley Sands handily and in a manner where you will have to begrudgingly admit that I was simply better and she had no chance, and maybe if you want to look a little closer you’ll ask why her supposed friend didn’t return the favour and try to distract me so that she could steal the match, which will prove my point entirely. But if that’s too much to ask, feel free to continue lying to yourselves, at least until you realise that each of your heroes has fallen one after another at my hand and there was nothing you could do to stop it.
Yet again he pauses, from his more relaxed position he continues looking directly down the camera lens, even managing to do so as he abruptly lifts himself from out of the chair and picks it up from the floor and folds it back together again, and once he has done this he simply tucks it under his arm and walks out of shot and through the door
Once we hear the sound of the locker room door closing behind him, we once again spending several uncomfortable seconds looking at a silent locker room with nothing in it and no sign that anyone has been here or anything has happened

John Carmichael vs. Ashley Sands The opening guitar riff of "Warrior" by Skarlett Riot begins to play over the sound system seconds before the Hybrid Champion Ashley Sands walks out onto the stage. Pointing out to the fans all over the arena, Sands walks down to the ring. Once she gets down to ringside, and gets on the apron before climbing the turnbuckle from the outside. She nimbly climbs the turnbuckle from the outside to perch atop the top rope as she sits on her knees. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, hailing from Bradley Beach, New Jersey… ASHLEY SANDS! With her name being announced, Ashley holds both of her arms up as she lays back on the turnbuckle post behind her. Flashing from cameras going off all around her, Sands rolls forwards to flip down into the ring and land on her feet. Kris Cruise: Ashley Sands didn’t win anything material at Only the Strong Survive. She won something much more valuable. Sands was able to win Ashley Marie Chase back over and repair their fractured friendship. Mark Bisley manipulated the tension between the two friends and used it for his benefit to become 15 Champion. Bisley thought that he could add insult to injury by getting Sands to throw in the towel and screw Chase out of the 15 Championship. But Bisley’s plan blew up in his face. Stephy Auger: Bisley didn’t “manipulate” anything. All he did was shine a light on the animosity and the jealousy that already existed Between Ashley #1 and Lesser Ashley. Everything was set up perfectly for Sands at Only the Strong Survive. All she had to do was throw in the towel and put the screws to AMC, once and for all. Instead, she decided to help the person that demeaned her and put her down for months. Why? For the sake of friendship? HA! The arena is plunged into darkness as the opening bars of "Land of Sunshine" play over the PA system until golden light floods the entranceway to reveal John Carmichael stood at the top of the ramp, his back to the crowd and an arm held high with his index finger raised, making damn sure that everyone in the arena knows that he's there and they're now on his time You have a winning way, so keep it, your future, your future, your future You are an angel heading for a land of sunshine And fortune is smiling upon you Having kept the crowd waiting for as long as he damn well feels like, with his entrance theme literally laughing in the crowd's faces, finally Carmichael whips around on the spot to face the ring and without a second's hesitation begins to walk to the ring Prepare for a series of comfortable miracles From fasting to feasting, to feasting Life to you is a dashing, bold adventure So sing and rejoice, and sing and rejoice J.A. Aldridge: Her opponent, hailing out of Queens, New York! Weighing in at 233 pounds… JOHN CARMICHAEL! As he makes his way down the ramp in his own damn time, Carmichael occasionally glances from side to side at the fans nearest to him wearing an expression that combines bemusement and contempt of each and every last one of them until he reaches the ringside area and simply shrugs his leather jacket off his shoulders and makes his way onto the ring apron And look for the dream that keeps coming back your future, your future, your future Pat yourself on the back and give yourself a handshake 'Cause everything is not yet lost Quickly stepping through the ropes into the ring, Karma climbs the nearest turnbuckles and simply stands there without raising an arm, a finger, or even a muscle to acknowledge the crowd, instead he's just making sure they can see that he's there Kris Cruise: Karma...sorry… Carmichael is still ticked off over what happened at Only the Strong Survive. Stephy Auger: Why shouldn’t he be. He was dominating the Gold Rush Rumble until Izzy Anders screwed him over. She didn’t go out there to win the Gold Rush Rumble. She wasn’t out there to add to her legacy. Her sole purpose was to make sure that Carmichael didn’t win. Unfortunately for Carmichael, she did just that. But now he’s going to expose her for the rotten human being that she is. Does life seem worthwhile to you? Climbing off the turnbuckles, Carmichael walks into the centre of the ring - but he keeps his back firmly to the camera and, as a result, the people watching the show on their televisions and their tablets, because they're just as much part of the problem Does life seem worthwhile to you? Dropping into a crouch, Carmichael looks at his opponent, but rather than sizing them up as a threat he's looking at them like a job that he'd rather take care of with as little fuss as possible, at which point he glances to the ref to tell him to ring the bell so he can get out of here as soon as possible Sands goes in for a collar-and-elbow when Carmichael cuts her off with a boot to the midsection. Kris Cruise: Cheap shot by Carmichael. The boos continue as Carmichael takes Sands by the hair, runs into the corner and slams her face-first into the top turnbuckle. He then grabs Sands by the hair again, runs across the ring and slams her face-first into the top turnbuckle in the opposite corner. After turning Sands around, Carmichael sends her slumping down in the corner with a series of mudhole stomps to the chest. He quickly follows up with a foot choke, which prompts the ref to issue a five count. Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR… The choke gets broken. Carmichael puts his hands in the air defensively as he backs away from the corner. He then quickly rushes back in and nails Sands with a running knee strike to the face! Carmichael reaches down, grabs Sands by the hair and pulls her back to her feet before whipping her hard into the far corner. He rushes in to attack when Sands turns him around with a boot to the face. Sands quickly hops out to the apron through the ropes, scales to the top turnbuckle, leaps off and drives him down with a diving bulldog! The cheers continue as she makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Carmichael kicks out. Kris Cruise: Only two! Sands sets up for an irish whip when Carmichael reverses. When Sands returns, she avoids Carmichael by sliding through his legs. When Carmichael turns around, Sands knocks him off his feet with a leg sweep. Carmichael scrambles back to his feet, only to get returned to the mat with a dropkick. Another dropkick knocks him back down. Carmichael is then whipped into the far ropes. When Carmichael returns, Sands knocks him off his feet with a spinning heel kick! Kris Cruise: Sands is on fire right now! She makes the cover... Stephy Auger: ONE! . . TWO! . . Carmichael kicks out. Sands picks up Carmichael, brings him towards the center of the ring and brings him down with a side russian leg sweep. The cheers continue as Sands hits the ropes. When she returns, she hopes to go for the Wind Whisper (rolling senton). But those cheers quickly turn to boos when Carmichael rolls to the outside. Kris Cruise: Oh come on! Stephy Auger: What? He’s not just going to lay there and let her hit him. Carmichael takes his time walking around the ringside area. The referee instructs him to get back inside. But his pleas fall of deaf ears. Sands, meanwhile, continues to keep her eyes locked on her opponent. As soon as she has Carmichael lined up, she turns and hits the far ropes. The crowd buzzes with anticipation as Sands bounces off the ropes and runs back across the ring. Sands readies herself for a dive to the outside when Carmichael quickly rolls back inside and catches her with a low dropkick, sending her collapsing across the middle rope. The boos continue as Carmichael hits the far ropes, comes back and knocks Sands down with the 718 (with an opponent lying on the ropes, Carmichael runs in and swings a knee through the ropes to knee them in the head)! Kris Cruise: Carmichael lured Sands right into his trap. Stephy Auger: She fell right for it! Carmichael grabs Sands, tosses her out onto the apron and reaches through the ropes. After pulling up Sands by the hair and positioning her halfway between the ropes, Carmichael takes multiple steps back before rushing forward and knocking her down with I Am Wrestling (Wrestling II Knee Lift)! The boos continue as Carmichael grabs Sands by the legs and positions her underneath the bottom rope. The Former Johnny Karma looks around at the booing crowd before catapulting her throat-first into the bottom rope. Kris Cruise: OH COME ON! Carmichael takes Sands by the legs again before dragging her towards the center of the ring. From there, Carmichael delivers multiple stomps to the chest before backing up against the ropes. Carmichael comes off the ropes, leaps into the air and crashes down across Sands’ chest with a jumping knee drop. He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Sands turns and gets her shoulder up. Carmichael pulls her back down and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Sands turns and gets her shoulder up again. Carmichael pulls her back down and goes for another lateral press. ONE! . . TWO! . . Sands kicks out. Carmichael quickly takes control of Sands from the mount position and rains down a flurry of right hands to the face. Sands tries to cover up, but some of Carmichael’s punches find their way through her defense. Sands then turns over and tries to cover herself up with a turtle defense. Carmichael responds by standing up and stomping away at her back. He then reaches down, rips her left arm away from her chest and delivers a snap arm wringer. The crowd boos as Sands immediately rolls towards the ropes as she clutches her arm. Kris Cruise: Carmichael just send that arm shoulder-first right into the mat. Stephy Auger: Oh yeah, Sands is hurting now. She’s in big trouble. It’s funny, when AMC was in trouble, Sands was right there to make the save. But it seems like AMC isn’t out here to show support for Sands. Hmmm Kris Cruise: Don’t you even start. Stephy Auger: Oh, I didn’t start it. Carmichael said that this would happen. I’m just simply agreeing with him. Carmichael heads over and once again delivers stomps to the body. He then reaches down, snatches Sands up to her feet by the hair and takes control of her arm. He then pulls Sands back towards the center of the ring. He goes to follow up an arm wrench with a short-arm shoulder. But as he pulls Sands in, she counters with a punch to the face. The crowd cheers when Sands uses her free arm to punch Carmichael in the face again! Sands hits another punch with hopes of Carmichael breaking his grip. But he continues to remain latched onto her wrist. Another right hands finds its mark. Sands pulls her arm back and motions for another punch when Carmichael reverses, sending Sands flipping down to the mat with a snap arm wrench. Carmichael leans over to grab Sands when she rolls back and nails him with a double upkick to the face! While Carmichael stumbles back, Sands returns to her feet with a kip up. She then hits the far ropes. The crowd cheers as Sands comes back. She hurls herself at Carmichael with a cross bodyblock. But Carmichael is able to catch her in mid air before bringing her down with the Fresh Meadow (swinging rib breaker)! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Sands gets her right shoulder up. Carmichael whips Sands into the ropes. When she returns, Carmichael scoops her up across his shoulders before bringing her down with Spite (fireman’s carry into a backbreaker)! Sands arches her back in pain until Carmichael yanks her back up to her feet. He hooks both arms from behind before bringing Sands down with the Tahara (full nelson slam across the knee)! Carmichael pulls Sands back to her feet before taking control of her back one more. This time, he hooks only one arm before throwing Sands down with a Half Nelson Suplex! The boos continue as he makes his way across the ring before pulling Sands over for the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! Sands gets her right shoulder up. Kris Cruise: Sands gets her shoulder up just in time! Stephy Auger: I’m surprised she even knows where she is right now. Carmichael takes Sands and snaps her head back with a European Uppercut before whipping her into the far ropes. When Sands returns, Carmichael hoists her up for Life’s a Bitch (pop-up sitdown powerbomb)! But Sands counters! The crowd cheers when she reverses into a hurricanrana! She reaches back with her right arm and hooks the leg! ONE! . . TWO! . . Carmichael kicks out! Kris Cruise: Carmichael nearly got caught! Once both grapplers are back to their feet, Carmichael charges over and tries to knock Sands’ head off with a wild lariat. But Sands avoids it by rolling underneath it. When Carmichael turns around, Sands runs over, jumps up and brings him down with Into Dust (Codebreaker)! The cheers continue as she hits the far ropes, comes back and executes the Wind Whisper! She turns over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Carmichael kicks out. Kris Cruise: Another close call for Carmichael! Sands is feeling it. She’s fighting back and she’s got him on the ropes. Stephy Auger: Don’t let her back into this match! Cut her off! Sands takes Carmichael and whips him into the corner before running across the ring and blasting him with the Wind Kick (running corner kick)! Sands takes Carmichael, delivers an irish whip and runs across the ring for another Wind Kick until Carmichael rebounds out of the corner and turns her inside out with a lariat! Kris Cruise: Good Lord! Stephy Auger: There you go! The boos continue as Carmichael pulls Sands back up before whipping her into the ropes. When she returns, Carmichael hoists her up before throwing her down with authority with Life’s a Bitch! Carmichael turns Sands over into the prone position before slowly pulling her back up from behind. After taking control of Sands’ back, Carmichael ripcords her out in front of him before bringing her down with No Regrets (wristlock transitioned into a Stunner)! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! The crowd erupts with boos as “Land of Sunshine” blares throughout the arena. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this bout… JOHN CARMICHAEL! The boos continue as Carmichael pulls his arm away from the ref before raising his own arm in victory. Kris Cruise: John Carmichael bounces back from his loss in the Gold Rush Rumble with a win here tonight. Sands gave it a good effort. But Carmichael was just too much for her in the end. We’ll see if her AAA teammate Ashley Marie Chase has better luck later on tonight. Stay with us, fans. Vertigo returns right after this short break. • COMMERCIAL BREAK •

We fade in on a shot of the FGA United States Championship.
Voice: I wanted to make history with the United States Title. I promised I would make history with the U.S. Title-- and tonight, I make good on it.
Slowly, the camera pans out. We see that it’s draped over the shoulder of Sadie San Francisco. Her hair is tied into a ponytail, and she sports a nondescript black tee, emphasizing the design of the United States Title belt. Sadie’s gaze lingers on the belt rather than the gaze as she speaks.
Sadie San Francisco: Jae Ramsey… TJ Techniques… Sydney Christensen… all of them answered the U.S. Open Challenge and-- yeah, they all tested me. In different ways they all tested me but none of them were able to take this away. Not one.
A breath.
Sadie San Francisco: But. Because of each one of those defenses I’m stronger, now, as a champion. And I’m more confident now than I’ve ever been in the four years I’ve been in this company. So tonight…
Sadie runs her fingers along the faceplate of the championship before her gaze finally travels to the camera.
Sadie San Francisco: Tonight, I’m doing something no one’s ever been able to do. I’m defending this title for a fourth time. I’m already clearly seen as a great champion but after tonight… I’m a legendary champion. This title becomes legendary.
The live audience responds with mixed reactions, though the champion either can’t hear them-- or chooses not to react to them. She continues to glide her fingertips along the face of the U.S. Title as she addresses the world on the other side of the camera again.
Sadie San Francisco: That’s why we’re the main event. This is groundbreaking and this is the kind of spotlight the U.S. Championship has always deserved. For once, it’s getting that and I’m beyond honored to be the one to take it to the next level. I’m--
Sadie grins to herself, looking down at the belt once more.
Sadie San Francisco: --I’m going to make the United States Title the pinnacle of this company. This is going to be what kids grow up buying replicas of. This is what kids are going to wanna grow up fighting for. And that starts with this reign. That starts with me. It starts tonight.
Growing steadily louder, the live crowd’s reaction remains mixed, even as Sadie gazes proudly at the title, and then finally to the camera once more.
Sadie San Francisco: So whoever answers tonight’s Open Challenge-- you’ll be a part of history. But, I mean, just know what kind of a fight you’re walking into.
Sadie’s all-serious gaze remains focused firmly on the camera, but as it zooms in, it leaves us with the same shot we opened with-- the United States Championship.

Our feed switches to Amanda Johnson, who is standing by backstage in front of the Vertigo backdrop.
Amanda Johnson: With me right now is a man that recently answered Sadie San Francisco's Open Challenge, as well as made his official debut as a member of the roster in the Gold Rush Rumble. Ladies and gentlemen, TJ Techniques!
The live crowd pops at the announcement of his name. On cue, TJ Techniques walks into the frame, dressed in his ring attire. He's all smiles as he's moments away from his first one on one match as an official member of the roster.
TJ Techniques: What's good, Amanda? It's nice to finally meet you. Been a fan of yours since you were over on Flashpoint. I must say, you're even more beautiful in person.
Amanda blushes. The tenured interviewer quickly regains focus and shifts the conversation back to business.
Amanda Johnson: Well that's very sweet of you. But let's stick to FGA, shall we?
TJ nods in approval.
TJ Techniques: Bet. Let's get to it.
Amanda Johnson: Before we get to your match tonight, I wanted to get your thoughts on the Gold Rush Rumble. You entered the Rumble at #2 and lasted more than halfway through the match. Of course, I also have to mention that the #1 entrant in that match, Ricky Valero, was someone that you didn't mince words over a while back.
TJ scoffs at the mention of his fellow Staten Island native.
TJ Techniques: Yeah, I had something to say about Valero a couple of weeks back. Once upon a time, Ricky Valero was someone that felt I wasn't good enough. He felt like I wasn't someone worth investing in. Yet look at me now? Look where I am now. Now take a look at him.
TJ gives a nonchalant shrug.
TJ Techniques: 2020 ain't been a good year for all of us. But this year really ain't been kind to him. First, he loses his best friend in Evan Envi. Then, he gets into legal trouble. Then, he gets bodied in the Rumble by yours truly. Finally, his President - not my President, not your President - but his President, the one that he always big upped, the one he displayed proudly as his header, just got voted out of office in spectacular fashion. Damn, it looks like Pretty Ricky is going out sad, huh? I gotta be honest, Amanda, it couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
TJ can't help but smirk over Valero's misfortunes.
TJ Techniques: But hey, we’ve given that herb enough attention. So let’s keep this interview sucker free and shift the focus to my match tonight.
Amanda nods before getting to her next line of questions.
Amanda Johnson: Yes! Tonight, you have your first ever one on one match in FGA and it's against Cassius Reed. From what I've been told, Cassius Reed was the one that requested this match. What do you make of that, as well as your opponent?
TJ Techniques: Well Amanda. I'm flattered that a guy like Cassius thinks so highly of me that he wants to be apart of my first singles match. I gotta be honest, Amanda. I've actually got a huge amount of respect for Cassius.
Amanda gives TJ a quizzical look.
Amanda Johnson: Wait. You... have respect... for Cassius Reed? Cassius Reed, of all people? Are you sure you're feeling okay?
TJ can't help but let out a slight chuckle.
TJ Techniques: You got jokes. But I get it. The man is rough around the edges. He's rubbed a lot of people the wrong way over the years, I won't even hold you. But you gotta understand. Cassius Reed in a lot of ways is an inspiration to guys like me. See, he showed us that you could go out there and be yourself. You didn't have to compromise to get ahead in this sport. The way he walks, the way he talks... the swagger that he carries himself with, he kind of reminds you of one of the old heads from back in the day. Plus, there's a lot of wrestlers in this business that claim their the best. They claim that they're this and that. But for a lot of them, it's cap. Cassius, on the other hand, is a guy that has won a tournament a year in multiple companies from 2016 on. Say what you will about the man, but he deserves his props for going out there and getting it in.
Even Amanda can't help but to acknowledge Cassius' efforts.
TJ Techniques: Like I said, I got a lot of respect for bro. People will look at me sideways for saying that. But if you know me, you know I always keep it a buck. Cassius deserves to get his props. I hope that after this match, he can show me the same respect that I've shown him. Who knows, maybe even some point down the line, the two of us can build and link.
Amanda cocks an eyebrow at that suggestion.
TJ Techniques: But that's something that can be discussed down the road. Tonight, Cassius is standing across the ring from me. Tonight, he's the opposition. Cassius, I've given you your respect. But once that bell rings? The only thing you're getting from me is hands and feet before I leave you to hold that L. A couple of months back, I answered Sadie San Francisco's Open Challenge. On that night, I wasn't good enough to get the job done and Sadie beat me. In the Rumble, I lasted a good while. But I didn't win. I wasn't the runner up. I didn't even make it to the final four. Tonight, though? This is a chance to make things right and that's exactly what I plan on doing. Tonight, I'm gonna show up, show out and show & prove why I am the better wrestler.
TJ turns to the camera.
TJ Techniques: Now peep that.
With that, TJ heads off while Amanda addresses the camera.
Amanda Johnson: You heard it here first. TJ is ready to get the W tonight. Cassius Reed versus TJ Techniques is up next. Guys, back to you at ringside!

Cassius Reed vs. TJ Techniques ♫ Step into a world (Klaka klaka, klaka klaka!) Where there's no one left (Buku, buku! Alla de massive!) But the very best (Klaka, bo bo, BDP crew, bo bo bo bo!) No MC can test [*cut and scratch of KRS saying "but one"*] ♫ The beat kicks in as "Step Into a World (Rapture’s Delight)" starts to knock through the speakers. Out through the curtain steps TJ Techniques, clad in his ring attire and hooded vest. TJ peeks out underneath the hood as he looks out to the right. He does the same to his left before flinging the hood back, smacking his chest twice and pointing down in front of him with his forefingers. TJ nods his head as he makes his way down the ramp with purpose. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, hailing from Staten Island, New York! Weighing in at 188 pounds… TJ TECHNIQUES! TJ leaps to the apron before stepping into the squared circle. He makes a beeline towards the far corner and hops up to the middle ropes. TJ scans the crowd before slapping his chest twice and pointing down in front of him with his fingers. He hops down from the corner, walks across the ring and hops to the middle ropes and scans the corner. TJ slaps his chest twice before pointing down in front of him with his forefingers. He then hops down and takes off the hooded vest before tossing it to the outside. TJ tugs away at the top rope as he readies himself for his opponent. Kris Cruise: TJ Techniques is looking for his first win as a member of the FGA roster. But he’s got a tough opponent here tonight. Stephy Auger: Well if you ask me, he’s gonna have to wait just a little bit longer. Cassius Reed is about to show everyone the difference between the real and the fake. Cassius in the genuine article. TJ is just a cheap imitation. It’s not my fault your girlfriend likes me, I do her hard like fucking warp speed, Your Dad’s mad, it’s not my fucking fault, That your Mom wants to fucking fuck me! As the intro to “You Suck” by Pour Habit blasts throughout the arena, out from the back bursts Cassius Reed! Slowly rotating in his gold lined black ring robe Cassius soaks in the atmosphere for just a moment. Spinning to face the ring, he shadow boxes at the top of the ramp a short time more, before posing, spreading his arms wide, and sprinting down to the ring at full pace! J.A. Aldridge: His opponent, fighting out of Funkytown, USA, and tipping the scales tonight at 205 pounds… CASSIUS! REED! Sliding in under the bottom rope, he quickly rolls onto his back before kipping up! Giving a quick smirk and raised eyebrow to the referee, he turns and leaps to the top of the nearest turnbuckle, before whipping off his ring robe with a flourish. He poses just a moment at the top of the turnbuckle, smug grin on his face, robe hanging from his hand, before dropping back to the mat, consigning his entrance gear to the outside whilst he finishes warming up for the match with more shadow boxing. Kris Cruise: These past couple of outings haven’t been kind to Cassius. Not only did Cassius fail in his bid to win the Mid-Atlantic Legacy championship at Only the Strong Survive, but he also lost the Gold Rush Rumble thanks to TJ Techniques. Stephy Auger: It pained me to see two of my favorites going after it over the Mid-Atlantic Legacy title. Only one could win and Ace was able to pull it out. But with that being said, I was confident that Cassius Reed could have made it to the very end and won the Gold Rush Rumble. But he never got the chance to make it to the end thanks to that fraud in the ring. The bell sounds as Reed and Techniques circle the ring before locking up. After jockeying for position, Reed uses his strength advantage to move Techniques across the ring and press him up against the ropes. The ref is quick to to jump in and issue a five count. Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! As soon as both grapplers make a clean break, Reed tries to take advantage and set up Techniques for an irish whip. But Techniques reverses, sending Reed into the far ropes. When he returns, the crowd cheers when he gets thrown down with a japanese arm drag. A second japanese arm drag returns him to the mat. Techniques then knocks him down with a dropkick. He goes for a second dropkick when Reed slips out of the way and swats him down. Techniques tries to get back to his feet, but he ends up getting caught with a boot to the midsection. Reed then takes control of his arm and executes an arm wrench. A second arm wrench gets delivered. After Techniques ends up on the receiving end of a third arm wrench, he rolls forward, leans back, kips up, delivers an arm of his own and follows up with a spinning leg sweep. He makes the cover. ONE! . . Reed kicks out. Kris Cruise: TJ with a quick nearfall. Techniques sets up for an irish whip when Reed reverses, sending him into the ropes. When Techniques returns, Reed knocks him down with a standing shoulder block. The Funky Dragon takes off into another set of ropes. Techniques gets back to his feet before getting ran over with a running shoulder block. The boos continue as Reed hits another set of ropes. When he comes back, he runs over Techniques with yet another running shoulder block. Reed then hits another set of ropes. When he returns, Techniques leapfrogs over him. Reed continues to run the ropes. When Reed comes off the ropes, Techniques leapfrogs over him again. Reed continues to run the ropes. When he comes back, Techniques runs over and knocks him off his feet with a spinning heel kick. The cheers continue as he crawls over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Reed kicks out. Kris Cruise: TJ gets the better of that exchange for another two count. Techniques pulls Reed off the mat when Reed swats his hands off of him. He then quickly socks Techniques with a right hand across the face. The Funky Dragon knocks Techniques back with another right hook before moving him into the corner. From there, Reed goes to work with rights and lefts to the body. After taking control of Techniques’ wrist, he delivers an irish whip before following him across the ring. Instead of crashing into the corner, Techniques executes a Tiger Wall Flip over Reed before catching him when he turns around with a Koppu Kick! The cheers continue as he makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Reed kicks out. Kris Cruise: TJ with yet another nearfall. The Funky Technician has been a step ahead of The Funky Dragon thus far. Stephy Auger: Don’t you call him that! There’s only one man in FGA that’s got the Funk and let me tell you, it’s not TJ Techniques. Who the hell names themselves “TJ Techniques,” anyway? Who told him that was cool? Clearly someone lied to him! Techniques sets up for an irish whip when Reed reverses, sending him into the ropes. When Techniques returns, he sees Reed setting up for a back body drop. So he hurdles over him before continuing to run the ropes. When Techniques returns, Reed grabs him, runs and tosses him over the top rope! Instead of falling to the floor, Techniques hangs onto the top rope with both hands. The crowd cheers as he “skins the cat” and pulls himself back into the ring. When he turns around, he sees Reed charging at him. So Techniques ducks and dumps him over the top rope! But like Techniques seconds earlier, Reed is able to hang onto the top rope with both hands. Reed is then able to successfully “skin the cat” and pull himself back into the ring. As soon as Reed turns around, the crowd cheers when Techniques runs over and clotheslines him over the top rope and to the floor! The cheers continue as Techniques cups his ear he circles the ring. Kris Cruise: What TJ could do, Cassius could NOT do better! Stephy Auger: Please, there’s a million things that Cassius does better. And stop acting like this match is out of Cassius’ control. It’s still early, you know! Kris Cruise: Are you trying to convince me or you? Stephy Auger: ... Reed starts to pull himself up onto the apron. Techniques heads over to attack when Reed doubles him over with a shoulder thrust through the ropes. The crowd gasps when he tries to suplex Techniques to the outside! But Techniques counters with a knee to the head on the way up. After being lowered back down, Techniques runs into the corner, springboards off the middle turnbuckle, dives over the top rope and knocks Reed off the apron with a triangle shoulder block! Techniques plays up to the crowd as he circles the ring while waving his arms up and down. Kris Cruise: What a maneuver by TJ Techniques! He’s got this crowd in attendance solidly behind him! Stephy Auger: It’s not hard when he keeps sucking up to them very two seconds. Techniques bounces on the balls of his feet as he waits for Reed to get into position. As soon as Reed gets back to his feet, Techniques runs towards the ring post before leaping through the ropes and taking him down with a Torpedo DDT! Kris Cruise: Did you see that!? What a DDT from TJ Techniques! This is NOT how Cassius expected this match to go. Stephy Auger: C’mon Cassius, don’t let this punk show you up! The cheers continue as Techniques takes Reed and rolls him back inside. He then rolls back in and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Reed gets his shoulder up. Techniques pulls Reed back to his feet before throwing him down with a scoop slam. He then hops out to the apron through the ropes and goes for a topé atomico! He gets countered! The crowd boos when Techniques lands back-first across Reed’s knees. Kris Cruise: Cassius got his knees up! Stephy Auger: Yes! Reed yanks up Techniques before throwing him down with a scoop slam. The Funky Dragon pulls him back to his feet before throwing him back down with another scoop slam. Reed reaches down, pulls Techniques up into a font facelock before planting him with a DDT. While Techniques remains in the prone position, Reed steps out to the apron before delivering a slingshot left elbow drop across the back. The boos continue as he pulls Techniques over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Techniques gets his shoulder up. Reed takes Techniques and whips him into the corner. After Techniques crashes sternum-first into the top turnbuckle, he stumbles away from the corner before Reed bringing him down from behind with an inverted facelock backbreaker. He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Techniques gets his shoulder up. Reed takes Techniques and whips him hard into the corner. After crashing back-first into the turnbuckles, Techniques staggers out of the corner before Reed brings him down with a bridging northern lights suplex. The ref gets down for the count when Reed floats over, pulls Techniques back to his feet before bringing him down with a snap suplex. The Funky Dragon then rolls back, pulls Techniques back to his feet, lifts him up and takes him down with a belly to back suplex. The boos continue as he makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Techniques gets his shoulder up. Kris Cruise: An impressive array of suplexes there by Cassius Reed! But he only gets a two count. Stephy Auger: He’s got control of this match. That’s the important thing. Reed takes Techniques and whips him into the ropes. When Techniques returns, Reed runs over and sends him flipping down to the canvas with a running knee to the midsection. Reed then hits a trio of running leg drops before making the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Techniques gets his shoulder up. Kris Cruise: Cassius is really pouring it on now. Stephy Auger: You sound surprised. I told you it would only be a matter of time until the real separated itself from the fake. Cassius Reed is the real deal and TJ Techniques is nothing but a “sucka,” as Cassius would say. Reed takes Techniques and sends him stumbling into the corner after a European Uppercut. He then heads into the corner and hits Techniques with another European Uppercut before moving him out of the way. After climbing up onto the middle ropes, Reed grabs a hold of Techniques and goes for a Tornado DDT. Techniques is able to counter by pushing Reed off of him mid-turn. Once Reed lands on his feet, he rushes into the corner to attack until Techniques knocks him back with a back elbow to the face. Reed shakes off the blow before running back in. The crowd cheers when Techniques knocks him back with another back elbow to the face. Techniques then slingshots out to the apron. He leaps off the top turnbuckle with a springboard crossbody when Reed counters him with a dropkick in mid air. Stephy Auger: So much for that! HA HA! Kris Cruise: Stephy, please. The boos continue as Reed heads out to the apron. After scaling to the top turnbuckle, Reed flips off with a diving somersault leg drop! He misses! The crowd cheers when Techniques rolls out of the way, causing Reed to crash onto the canvas. Stephy Auger: Cassius! Kris Cruise: He missed! He caught nothing but canvas! Both grapplers slowly get back to their feet. Techniques ducks a right hook from Reed before catching him with a Shotei. Techniques blocks another right hook before countering with another Shotei. A third Shotei knocks Reed back. He then takes Reed, delivers an irish whip, runs across the ring and catches Reed with a running Shotei. The cheers continue as Reed gets whipped into the far corner before Techniques rushes across the ring and connects with another running Shotei! As Reed slumps down in the corner, Techniques hits the far ropes. He picks up speed as he returns from across the ring before catching him across the face with the Buck 50 (running face wash in the corner)! Techniques reaches down, pulls up Reed into a front facelock and glides back towards the center of the ring before planting him with a Moonwalk DDT! The cheers continue as he makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Reed gets his shoulder up. Techniques picks up Reed and doubles him over him a kick to the midsection before hitting the ropes. When he returns, he whiffs on a Shaolin Sidekick (Harlem Sidekick) when Reed slips out of the way. When Techniques turns around, the crowd boos when Reed doubles him over with Johnny Cage (split-legged punch to the midsection). Techniques remains doubles over as The Funky Dragon hits the ropes. When Reed returns, he throws The Funky Technician down with SWEET CHRISTMAS (Sunset Flip Powerbomb)! The ref slides into place for the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . NO! The crowd cheers when Techniques gets his shoulder up. Kris Cruise: That was a close one. Stephy Auger: Put him away, Cassius. Put him away now! Reed takes Techniques, moves him into the corner and nails him with another combination of rights and lefts to the body. He then rattles of a series of jabs to the face before whacking him with the Pimp Slap! The boos continue as he takes Techniques and whips him into the far corner. Reed runs across the ring, leaps into the air and throws out the Spanish Archer (Bionic Elbow)! He misses! The crowd cheers when Techniques slips out of the way, causing Reed to crash into the corner. As Reed stumbles back, Techniques runs past him into the corner before knocking him down with a springboard Tornillo! The Funky Technician pulls Reed back to his feet before returning him to the mat with Let The Rhythm Hit ‘Em (Phenomenal Blitz)! The cheers continue as Techniques slaps his chest before pointing down in front of him. He then heads into the corner and sets up shop as he waits for Reed to get in position. When Reed gets back to his feet and turns around, Techniques charges out of the corner before knocking him off his feet with Set ‘Em Straight (Busaiku Knee Strike)! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! The crowd cheers as “Step into a World (Rapture’s Delight)” hits the speakers. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this bout… TJ TECHNIQUES! The cheers continue as Techniques gets his arm raised in victory. Kris Cruise: TJ Techniques gets his first win in FGA as he picks up the victory over Cassius Reed. It looks like the bad times continue for The Funky Dragon. Stephy Auger: This wasn’t how it was supposed to go! Cassius was supposed to win this! Kris Cruise: Cassius has no one to blame but himself. But as we’ve seen in recent weeks, Cassius would rather blame everyone else instead of accepting responsibility for his shortcomings. A frustrated Cassius slowly sits up after coming to. He slaps the mat out of frustration before picking himself back up. He looks around and sees Techniques still celebrating his victory. TJ’s theme starts to fade out as he makes his way back over to Cassius. Techniques has a couple of words for Cassius before putting his hand out. Cassius looks down at TJ’s hand before looking out at the crowd. Cassius turns back to TJ. He looks back down at the hand before looking back up at TJ’s face. Cassius smirks before turning his back and exiting the ring, leaving Techniques hanging. “BOOOOOOOO!” • COMMERCIAL BREAK •

Coming back from commercial, Patrick Jones is sitting on a metal folding chair backstage. The normally relaxed man is visibly frustrated. Jones does not look lost or confused. His eyes are steely, and his fingers on his right hand are rolling in and out of a fist. He gives a small shakes of his head before beginning to speak. The time between him appearing on the screen and beginning to talk is only 5 or 6 seconds, but the moment feels heavy.
Patrick Jones: Since Grapple Kingdom 3, there have been 3 episodes of Vertigo and Only the Strong Survive. I have lost to Seth Iser, Ashley Marie Chase, and been eliminated from the Gold Rush Rumble without making an elimination. In fact, I entered and only stayed long enough for one other person to enter before being eliminated. I was the first person eliminated after I joined the match.
Jones pauses and reaches down to pick up a water bottle that was beside his chair but previously out of view. After taking a small drink, he closes his eyes and lets a small smile play at the corner of his lips while he opens his eyes.
Patrick Jones: The funny thing is the past few months have been the perfect representation of my career. Sporadic is my default setting. I SHOULD be as comfortable as anybody with the way the year has gone. The thing is that spending so much time training while only having a match once every month since May is worse than not performing well or even going a long time without wrestling at all. And I only compete for FGA.
PJ shrugs and laughs.
Patrick Jones: Well, there was the Love Power event and a pair of tag matches in Valiant. Maybe I was wrestling every 3rd week on average.
He licks his lips and kills the slight smile as he goes back to the original look of pent up intensity.
Patrick Jones: But those are just excuses. Others are dealing with similar issues. Or they have made other commitments to stay busier. Tonight, I get another opportunity to do more than just hang around FGA. The first Elimination Chase match means I have to avoid losing a Fatal 4 Way to survive for next week. I have no disrespect for Laura Perelli, Zack Gall, or The Mighty Sparrow. I am not some stupid rookie or loudmouth going to underestimate anyone, but opponents have not been my problem. Tonight, and for the days leading up to this match, I have been about ME. Only I can change how MY matches have gone. It starts with this match and is going to run straight through All-Star Showdown.
Jones gives a quick nod as his fist tightens with his hand resting on his thigh.

Backstage at the Melrose Ballroom, Amanda Johnson is standing with microphone in hand right next to a very game looking Mighty Sparrow. Sparrow is dressed in his ring gear, already set for the Elimination Chase later tonight and importantly to him, his debut. He’s bouncing on the balls of his toes, short-hopping in place to keep that frenetic energy controlled. His nostrils flare, his mouth exhales and he keeps on, but slows the pace to a crawl before stopping completely.
Amanda Johnson: Ladies and gentlemen I am here with the man making his debut in one match of many that will lead us to find out who will be the next challenger for Ace Voltage’s Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship: Mighty Sparrow!
The kicking based wrestler pauses and grins.
Mighty Sparrow: I s’pose this means Ace ain’t gettin’ his wish of you introducing him as the Mid-Atlantic Champion of all time?
Amanda rolls her eyes in disgust and shakes her head.
Amanda Johnson: Not in any interview I don’t have to. Anyway, Sparrow, welcome to FGA. What a welcome it is in fact; tonight you are being thrown right into it against three extremely game competitors. Patrick Jones, Laura Perelli, as well as Zack Gall. Gall of course has had issues with Perelli for some time, moreso after she eliminated him from the Gold Rush Rumble minutes after he came in at OTSS. Do you feel at all overwhelmed, getting a match like this right off the bat?
The Trinidadian wrestler shakes his head, sucking through his teeth as he makes one more warmup short hop just for the sake of it.
Mighty Sparrow: Overwhelmed? Nah. To these three I’m in the ring, I am a...Unknown factor to them, I suspect. They have they element of experience in an FGA ring on me, and with each other but I...I have the element of surprise. Time and time again, you come to a company and you get put up against someone hurtin’, smartin’ for a win. Me I get three people who only have gold on they mind, or vengeance maybe. I get three people all hungry, and all that does Miss, is make me hungry. I’m hungry for this kinda fight and I ain’t even had a match yet. So nah, nah nah...Overwhelmed? Never that y`know. Not for such high stakes to show how good I am from jump. It’s another ‘O’ word, on the tip of m’tongue in fact. Not overwhelmed ya know. I’m thinkin’...Optimistic. Yeah. I’m feelin’ optimistic, opining on this opportune operation...Okay?
The interviewer stifles a small laugh while Sparrow flashes a grin.
Amanda Johnson: Well you certainly are making the best of what could be a perilous match. Do you think--
??: I think it’s obvious with that...delightful attitude, that answer’s no.
Enter Laura Perelli in the shot, her eyes flashing amusement as she eyes over Sparrow the entire time. Laura gives Amanda a cursory glance, then holds her hand out, obviously expecting the microphone--when it isn’t handed to her, though, the Jersey Devil’s lips twist into a smirk, and she reaches over and plucks it from Johnson’s hands.
Laura Perelli: Don’t get me wrong--this optimism, this whole thing is just adorable.
Laura proceeds to reach forward and pet Mighty Sparrow on the head, even making a mock ‘aww’ face to go along with it. The near foot of height and eighty pound difference between the two means nothing to Perelli as she even goes as far as pinching Sparrow’s cheek. He jerks away from that, a face wrought with annoyance.
Laura Perelli: But I think you’re getting a little ahead of yourself, hm? Let me catch you up on current events, hm? Since you’re new, and I want you to really understand what’s gone on here, Sparrow. Patrick Jones was the first one to make the mistake of underestimating me, and do you know what happened? When push came to shove, I put him down, and I left him behind, after he tapped out. Zack Gall? Come on--how many times do I have to beat Zack Gall? I’ve tapped him out, I’ve stuck him to the mat, I’ve thrown him out of battle royales, I’ve beaten Zack Gall in almost every possible way...as this one so eloquently put it, to the point that he still has issues with me, long after I’ve moved on.
Amanda for her part looks offended that Laura doesn’t even refer to her by name but that all she gets is a ‘this one’. Sparrow mutely mouths ‘this one’ before muttering.
Mighty Sparrow: Ey, s-she has a name you know.
Laura ignored that.
Laura Perelli: This...this Elimination Chase? It is a formality. You’re the only one here I haven’t beaten, and...honestly? It’s because we haven’t had a match yet. Now, there’s two options you could take tonight--first, stay out of my way, just to make sure you’re not the first one eliminated from this little thing of ours...or, yanno, step up--and see if your luck might be better than Jones’, better than Gall’s, see if you can try to stop me...from getting where I wanna be.
Laura Perelli: Your choice, kiddo.
Laura reaches up and pats one of Sparrow’s cheeks--yes, the same cheek she pinched earlier, before...more or less sauntering out of the shot, leaving Mighty Sparrow behind her with a dumbfounded expression. He breathes in deep before closing his eyes and exhaling. Amanda turns to ask Sparrow a rebuttal, before realizing Laura has taken the mic as well. The two glance at each other for a moment, before the show goes elsewhere.

PREVIOUSLY RECORDED
The cameras cut to a shot of the FGA World Tag Team Champions, Pendragon, standing somewhere backstage at the Melrose Ballroom. Like earlier, Lowri is again dressed casually, as is Neal, with each of them also having their half of the world tag team titles draped over their shoulders. Stood alongside them, with a microphone in her hand, is Spencer Burke.
Spencer Burke: Neal, Lowri; Only the Strong Survive was certainly a memorable night for both of you. Not only did you, Lowri, win the Gold Rush Rumble, but the two of you of course also won the triple threat tag team unification match for the World Tag Team Championship and United States Tag Team Championship.
With smiles on their faces, Neal and Lowri each nod, acknowledging Spencer’s statement.
Spencer Burke: It was another momentous victory for you in the tag team division here in FGA, so how did it feel to win that match, and to end it in possession of both championships?
Neal gestures to Lowri, seemingly willing to take the first word here.
Neal Durden: Full circle, Spencer. Our run as US Tag Team Champions came to an end thanks to Silk & Cyanide and we never got a chance to amend that as we were drafted to Flashpoint. Our run as World Tag Team Champions lead us to face the best of the best FGA and the world have to offer. At Only The Strong Survive, we went in with the goal of proving, without a shadow of a doubt that we’re not only the best tag team in FGA… but also to prove that what we have been saying all along was true… that we are the BEST tag team in the WORLD.
His confidence causes Lowri’s smile to broaden a little further.
Lowri Moss: At the end of last year, shortly after it had been announced that the brand split was being dissolved, I remember theorising that eventually the World tag titles and the United States tag titles would end up being unified. By that point, Neal and I were already about seven months into our reign as World Tag Team Champions, and we made it our goal to make sure that we kept hold of our titles so that when the time came, we would have the opportunity to be the ones to unify the two sets of titles. Well, we accomplished the first part, and then, at Only The Strong Survive, when we were up against the most difficult challenge we had faced during either of our reigns as US Tag Team Champions or World Tag Team Champions, we went and accomplished the second part; Pendragon, Silk & Cyanide, the Hellcat Spangled Death Squad… and we were the ones that came out on top.
She exchanges a glance with Neal.
Lowri Moss: And if you want to know how it felt, Spencer… let’s say it felt as good anything else I accomplished that night.
That comment is followed by a wink from the Gold Rush Rumble winner. The current Underworld Champion shared a wink with Lowri as he took the word.
Neal Durden: But now, we have a bigger target on our back. Everyone wants to be the ones to beat the team that sits atop of the food chain. Hell, even old foes are coming back undoubtedly enticed by the prospect of facing us one more time.
Spencer Burke: We’ll come on to what’s next for you in a moment, but there’s a question I wanted to ask you first about the United States Tag Team Championship. That particular championship has now been retired, following the unification match at Only The Strong Survive, and so I wondered, with the two of you having been the inaugural champions, do you think it’s fitting that you were also the final champions?
Lowri looks to Neal, who motions for her to answer first this time.
Lowri Moss: I would say so, although admittedly I’m a bit biased on the subject.
She lets out a chuckle.
Lowri Moss: But seriously, if the US tag titles were going to be retired by anyone, if the lineage of the titles was going to be brought to an end by anyone, then I do think it's fitting that that lineage ended with the same team that it began with.
Neal let out a simple shrug as he picked things up where Lowri left them.
Neal Durden: Again, full circle. It seems that this has been the theme for us this year. We have started things and seen them through to the end. As for the US title lineage, it ended with the name of the team that rightfully should’ve ended it, for as arrogant as that might sound on my end… it’s what I believe to be true.
A sigh of contentment comes from Lowri.
Lowri Moss: You know, I've talked before about how the Mid-Atlantic Legacy title has a special place in my heart because it's the first title I won in my career… well in the same vein, the US tag titles are special to Neal and I because they're the first titles that we won as a team, and now we have those belts as a permanent reminder of our first taste of success together, but also kind of as a symbol of what we’ve achieved in the two and a quarter, or two and a half years since then.
Spencer Burke: Following your victory at Only The Strong Survive, you now hold the outright record for the most successful defenses of the World Tag Team Championship, which is in addition to you already previously having broken the record for the longest reign as champions; where do you think the two of you now rank in comparison to all of the other teams that have set foot inside an FGA ring during the past nine years, and in comparison to all of the other teams that have held those titles?
A slight smirk appeared in Neal’s face as he was eager to give the answer he has been giving everyone that would listen (or do not listen).
Neal Durden: From day one I’ve said the same thing; Lowri and I are the best tag team in FGA. I have no doubts in my mind that we stand on top of the mountain right now and I do believe we have carved our spot in the Mount Rushmore of tag teams in FGA history.
Lowri casts a glance towards the championship belt resting on her shoulder.
Lowri Moss: We definitely stand on top of the mountain in FGA right now, that’s for sure, but as for exactly where we rank in FGA history...
She gives a shrug.
Lowri Moss: When people discuss the best tag teams to have been a part of FGA, I do think we deserve to at least be in the conversation, but I’m not going to go so far as to claim that we are the best ever, if that’s what you’re looking for one of us to say, Spencer; that’s something I’ll leave for other people to debate.
Spencer Burke: And so now, after your win at Only The Strong Survive-- after beating the Hellcat Spangled Death Squad, after beating Silk & Cyanide, after unifying the titles-- what’s next for Pendragon?
Lowri adjusts the title on her shoulder, before proceeding to answer the question.
Lowri Moss: There are always going to be other challenges for us, Spencer, whether it’s the challenges that are presented to us by our opponents, or the challenges that we set ourselves. I mean, you brought up the records that we now hold, but one record that we don’t have yet is the record for most combined days as World Tag Team Champions, which still belongs to The Chaotics, so that’s something for us to aim for. And for as long as we remain the champions, there are bound to be teams trying to knock us off our perch.
An excited Neal promptly took the word from Lowri.
Neal Durden: One of those teams just so happens to make their return to FGA tonight. A team that tried once and we were able to beat them, and a team, that I’m really fond of and that’s no secret… the SMWB. With us having, basically, cleaned the tag division and The Chaotics erupting into a fireball visible from space… our paths might be in collision course again sooner rather than later.
Lowri nods her head.
Lowri Moss: Yeah, maybe-- although if they lose to The Gourdbusters tonight, then who knows, maybe Olé and Gully will be the next contenders for our titles.
As improbable as that may seem.
Lowri Moss: But whether it’s a returning team, like the Super Mario Wrestling Bros, a relatively new pairing, like Evan Envi and Kazu Hirano, or an established duo that we’ve never crossed paths with before, like The Saturnian Connection, there are still some challenges out there for us.
Neal brings his belt up, right in front of him.
Neal Durden: One thing is certain, Spencer… these titles are meant to be defended, and we’re ready for all comers.
And on that image, the cameras cut away.

Super Mario Wrestling Bros vs. Olé Anderson & Gully Blanchard "Rockit" begins to play over the speakers as the the lights in the arena dim. Two individuals step through the curtains wearing jackets that flash red, blue, green and yellow colors. At the 28 second mark, the lights come back on, revealing the SMWB to a positive reaction from the crowd. Max Powers and Landon Knight point out various fans on their way down the aisle. One of the people they point to is Neal Durden. The Tag Team Champion is seen cheering and clapping for the SMWB. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, making their way to the ring at a total combined weight of 373 pounds! They are the team of Max Powers and Landon Knight, the SUPER MARIO WRESTLING BROS! Powers and Knight slide underneath the bottom rope and into the ring. The SMWB scan the crowd before pushing themselves up and heading into opposite corners. J.A. Aldridge: Their opponent, already in the ring. They are the team of Olé Anderson and Gully Blanchard, The Gourdbusters! After climbing up onto the second rope and throwing their index fingers in the air, they climb to the top turnbuckle and backflip off, landing safely on their feet in the ring to cheers. Kris Cruise: The Super Mario Wrestling Bros made their return to FGA at Only the Strong Survive. It’s been a year since we’ve seen them anywhere. I believe I can speak for everyone when I say that it’s great to see these two back. Stephy Auger: Speak for yourself! Powers and Anderson start things off with a lockup. After Powers gains the advantage with a side headlock, Anderson pushes him off into the ropes. Powers comes off the ropes and sees Anderson setting up for a back body drop. So he hurdles over Anderson before continuing to run the ropes. When Powers hits the far ropes, the crowd boos when Blanchard hits him with a clubbing strike across the back of the head. Kris Cruise: Gully Blanchard with the cheap shot! Powers turns and goes to push Blanchard. But Blanchard quickly drops down to the floor. Blanchard continues to distract Powers until Anderson runs over and knocks him down with a clothesline from behind. The boos continue as he puts the boots to Powers. Kris Cruise: Anderson is stomping the hell out of Powers. Stephy Auger: The Gourdbusters are tired of being looked at as an easy win. They’re here to make a statement tonight. Anderson reaches down and pulls Powers back to his feet from behind before taking control of his back. He goes to deliver a German Suplex when Powers rotates in the air and lands on his feet. Powers then runs backwards after Anderson scrambles back to his feet and chases after him. Anderson motions for a running clothesline when Powers reaches back and low bridges the top rope. The crowd cheers as Anderson is sent tumbling to the floor. Powers the runs across the ring and catches Blanchard with a running dropkick, knocking him off the apron and to the floor. The cheers continue as Knight slingshots himself into the ring, runs towards the far ropes and knocks Blanchard down with a suicide dive! He then rolls back into the ring, takes off towards the far ropes and knocks Anderson down with a somersault senton! Kris Cruise: Knight is attacking anything that moves! Stephy Auger: He should be disqualified! He’s not even the legal man! Knight takes Anderson and slams him face-first onto the apron before rolling him back inside. Powers then picks up Anderson and slams him face-first into the corner before tagging Knight in. The SMWB take Anderson and whip him into the far corner before Knight runs across the ring and blasts him with a flying discus punch. Knight slips out of the way as Powers runs across the ring before catching Anderson with a Koopa Kick (rolling koppu kick)! Powers heads to the outside as Knight takes Anderson and whips him back over into their corner. Knight sizes Anderson up before charging across the ring and crushing him with the Tail Attack (flying hip attack to a cornered opponent)! After Powers runs across the ring and hops up on the apron, he gets tagged back in. The SMWB take Anderson and move him out of the corner before whipping him into the far ropes. Instead of coming back, the crowd boos when Blanchard yanks Anderson down to the mat and drags him to safety. Stephy Auger: There you go, guys. Regroup on the outside. The Gourdbusters talk strategy on the outside until Knight runs across the ring. He leaps over the top rope with a suicide crossbody block! The crowd gasps when he gets caught in mid air! Kris Cruise: Uh oh! Anderson and Blanchard continue to keep Knight held in place until Powers runs across the ring, leaps through the ropes and knocks them down with a suicide dive! Kris Cruise: Max Powers knocks everyone down! The SMWB take Anderson and roll him back inside. After they rolls themselves back in, Knight lifts Anderson across his shoulders and heads towards the center of the ring as Powers hits the far ropes. Powers comes back and helps Knight deliver the Koopa Troopa Drop (samoan drop/running corkscrew neckbreaker combination)! Blanchard rolls back in and rushes over to attack until Knight brings him down with a drop toe hold. Powers hits the ropes, comes back back and executes a running Front Chancery before Knight comes off the ropes and connects with a dropkick to the face. Blanchard is then dragged into position as Powers exits out to the apron. On cue, the SMWB bing Blanchard down with the Mario Clash (wheelbarrow lift/springboard somersault sitout facebuster combination)! Knight heads over, picks up Anderson and lifts him back up across his shoulders. After Powers exits out to the apron and makes his way to the top turnbuckle, the SMWB delivers the Super Smash Melee (Rolling fireman's carry slam by Landon, followed by a 450 Splash by Max, followed by a springboard Phoenix Splash by Landon)! Knight rolls off of Anderson so Powers can make the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! The crowd cheers as “Rockit” hits the speakers. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winners of this bout… the SUPER MARIO WRESTLING BROS! The cheers continue as the SMWB raise each others arms in victory. Kris Cruise: The Super Mario Wrestling Bros get the win in their first match back! Stephy Auger: They got the win. Okay. But it only gets tougher from here, Cruise. Landon walks towards the ropes with his arms held in the air as he continues to celebrate the victory. He points out to a couple members of the crowd and waves at them while Max makes a beeline into the corner. Max sticks his head out through the ropes and asks for the microphone. J.A. Aldridge readily hands it over. Max receives the mic and hits the foam covers multiple times as he circles the ring. Once “Rockit” fades out, Max stands in the center of the ring to speak. Max Powers: First off, I just want to say that it feels GREAT to be back in the ring! Max is met with cheers and applause. Max Powers: October 10, 2019. Not only was that day one of the worst days of my life, but for the longest time, it looked as if that was gonna be the last day you guys ever saw the Super Mario Wrestling Bros. Landon and I were scheduled to face off against the Big Coffin Hunters. It was the quarterfinals of the Dynamic Duos Tournament. The Red n Green Machine was looking good and feeling good. There were a lot of good teams in that tournament. Great teams, even! But Landon and I? We knew in our heart of hearts that we were the best team in that tournament. For a while, it looked like we were exactly that. It looked as if we were going to be well on our way to making it to the end and coming out of that tournament the victors. But that wasn’t the case. October 20, 2019 just wasn't our night. Dexter Jacobs and Becca Raze did what many thought they couldn’t do: beat the SMWB! We cut to the crowd booing, jeering and giving two thumbs down to the mention of the Big Coffin Hunters’ win. Max Powers: The Super Mario Wrestling Bros can admit defeat. Sometime, it’s just not your night. You run out of Powers Ups. You run out of 1-Up Mushrooms and the next thing you know, it’s Game Over. For the SMWB, October 20, 2019 was Game Over for us in the Dynamic Duos. But I gotta tell you. Losing wasn’t the worst part of that night. Knowing that we were further away from a tag title shot wasn't the worst part. The worst part was when the Big Coffin Hunters decided that they weren’t satisfied with a win. To be specific, Dexter Jacob took it upon himself to injure my neck and put me on the shelf indefinitely with his post match attack. There is a downpour of boos at the mention of the former World Tag Champion. Max Powers: For the longest time, there wasn’t any timetable for my return. Neck injuries are a scary, scary thing, you guys. It’s way different than hurting a shoulder or a knee. A neck injury can put you on the shelf for weeks, months, years, heck, even forever. It was looking scary for me because for the longest time, I thought it was gonna be the latter. There are a few gasps at the thought of Max’s career being over. Max Powers: With me on the shelf, that meant that the SMWB were on the shelf. With me on the sidelines, that meant that you fine folks wouldn’t be able to see Landon and I come out here and do what we do best. We love entertaining you. We live off the thrill of the crowd. We live off the love and support you have for us and in return, we give our all to you. But with my neck injury and no timetable to return, the SMWB wouldn’t be able to do any of that. I may have been injured, but Landon wasn’t. He had a clean bill of health. So I told him to go back out there and make something of himself. I didn’t want him to hit the Pause Button on his career on account of me. But you know what he said? You wanna know what he told me? He told me that he couldn’t do. He wouldn’t do it. We came to prominence as a tag team. We made out names with each other and to him, it just wouldn’t feel right going it alone. Landon, you have no idea how much that meant to me. Landon’s dedication to his tag partner is met with applause. He heads over and pats Max on the shoulder. Max looks down and wipes a tear out of his eye before continuing. Max Powers: But as touching as that is to say, the sad thing is that no one else had my back. There’s a series of gasps that can be heard coming from the crowd. Max Powers: No one else had my back while I was out. Not FGA, not our fellow wrestlers, no one. Oh yeah, when Blaise Fader got hurt, you all showed your support for her. You all showed her just how much you cared. But when I got injured, when I was put on the sidelines, you all shrugged your shoulders and moved on as if I was nothing. Landon can be seen making a “calm down” motion with his hands. But Max insists on continuing. Max Powers: For years, we gave our all to you guys. We gave you our blood, our sweat and our tears. For years, we’ve gone from company to company, World to World, winning Tag Titles in every stop. We gave you years of entertainment. We gave you years worth of art. All I asked in return was for you to simply reach out and showed that you cared. But the people didn’t care. FGA didn’t care. Our fellow wrestlers didn’t care. Neal Durden didn’t care. Once again, the crowd murmurs. We immediately cut to Neal Durden, who leans back with a confused look on his face. Max locks eyes with Neal and slowly heads towards the ropes. Max Powers: … and that’s the one that stings the most. People, they can be fickle. Companies, they can chew you up, spit you out and move on to the next thing. But you? I thought you were my friend. I thought you actually cared. Last year, we heard you talk about how much of an “honor” it was to fight us. We heard you talk about how it was a “dream come true”. You had so much “respect” for the SMWB, right? You had all this admiration for us, right? You remember that, right? But it seems to me like once you got what he wanted - the cred from a win over the SMWB - you could no longer be bothered. Neal is seen with his arms spread out. He shakes his head. The co-holder to the tag titles is seen mouthing “that’s not true”. Landon continues to try and calm Max down. He puts a hand on Max’s shoulder. But Max simply shrugs it off. Max Powers: I figured if anyone was going to reach out, it was going to be you, Neal. But days turned to weeks. Weeks turned to months. 2019 turned to 2020 and I still never heard a peep out of you. No visits. No phone calls. No letters. No cards. No tweets. You couldn’t even take 30 seconds to come up with a tweet! I know you’re not exactly explorers of the world like the SMWB are. But it didn’t take going to a Warp Zone or using a Warp Whistle to come find me. But you simply didn’t want to find me. You got what you wanted. You got to put a line through the SMWB’s name on your little list. And as you and Lowri continued to build your case as the greatest tag team while continuing to ignore me, all that did was drive me, Neal. All that did was fuel me to rehab, recover and reclaim those World Tag Team Titles! The crowd murmurs again as Max stares a hole right through Neal. Max Powers: The Super Mario Wrestling Bros aren’t returning for a feel good story. We aren’t returning for nostalgia. We’ve returned to take back the World Tag Team Titles. So what do you say, “friend”? What do you say, “pal”? Pendragon versus the SMWB. One more time. At All-Star Showdown IX! The crowd pops at the thought of seeing Pendragon and the Super Mario Wrestling Bros go at it again. Max Powers: What do you say “amigo”? Come on “buddy”, what do you say? I mean, let’s be honest, who else are you guys gonna face? The Hellcats? They got their paydays and left. Silk & Cyanide? No one wants to see them try and steal the titles away again. You guys have run through pretty much everyone in FGA. So what do you say, Neal, what do you say? A team as great as Pendragon deserves the biggest challenge on the biggest stage. You and I both know that there isn’t a bigger challenge for you out there than the Red n Green Machine. Neal gets up from the seat he was occupying in the ringside area and asked for a microphone as he jumped the guardrail. Neal Durden: Hold your horses there for a second… first of all, I’m glad you managed to get back into shape. Second of all… I’ve been out of the loop for most of the year, but I guess in rehab you couldn’t see that. So, for you to say I didn’t reach out, yes… yes it’s true. But the whole world knows I haven’t reached out to many people in the past year as I was also dealing with some stuff. Neal paces himself back and forth, between confused and angry. He feints going into the ring, but backs off as continues talking. Neal Durden: Earlier in the night I even said you two and us were on a collision course once more. I agreed with all the things you said about the tag team division. I was willing to give you that shot, but now… now I don’t know. Neal lets out a sigh, as the crowd lets out a faint boo that Neal calms down with his left arm. Lowri Moss can be seen making her way down to the ring in the background. Neal Durden: Now I don’t know, because I don’t know if your heart and your mind are in the right place. Now I don’t know because instead of wanting to prove you’re the best… you just want revenge for something that wasn’t there. You want to make things personal, then I got no problem… after all it seems I have a death wish… but don’t come out and say things you’ll regret. Max mouths “don’t say things I’ll regret?!” before rolling to the outside. Landon sighs as he goes right after Max. The crowd starts to get antsy as they see Max making a beeline right towards Neal. He wastes little time getting right up in Neal’s face. But Neal does not back down from him. Max continues to have words for Neal as Landon tries to calm him down. Landon grabs his arm and tries to pull him back. But Max is able to pull his arm away from his partner. So Landon decides to take matters into his own hands and steps in between them two. Landon continues to go back and forth and tries to de-escalate the situation. After moving Max back, he then turns to Neal and moves him back. Lowri sees this and decides to smack Landon’s hands off of Neal. Landon then looks Lowri up and down before pushing her back. Gasps are heard from the crowd when Neal shoves Landon down to the floor. Landon quickly returns to his feet with a nip up before pointing his finger right in Neal’s face. Neal is quick to smack his hand away. Before the situation gets out of control, officials rush down to the ringside area and get in between the two. Neal continues to look at Max with disappointment while Landon helps the officials move Max up the aisle and to the back. • COMMERCIAL BREAK •

We go to a video showing the tale end of the FGA 15 Championship match from OTSS
As the video ends we are greeted by a close up of the FGA 15 championship.
AMC: Hey!! Eyes up here fellows!
The camera zooms out and moves up to show that the title is actually around the waist of Ashley Marie Chase.
AMC: Sheesh you are as bad as Sully. She is always staring at my goods as in my FGA 15 title you pervs.
AMC smirks.
AMC: Now when I won this title, my bestie Ashley “Sully” Sands told me that I should celebrate now but then get ready because it was harder to keep this title than it was to win it and I would have challengers coming from the woodwork to try and take this title. Well little did I know that I would have to once again have to put up with Markie Mark.
AMC makes a gagging motion.
AMC: I mean really people? Who made this rule that you get a rematch after losing a title? I had to go through the best to get my shot so Markie Mark needs to do the same but nooooooo he cries and gets a rematch. Well Markie, tonight I put this thing between us to bed because you cannot beat me and will not beat me.
AMC takes off the belt and raises it in the air.
AMC: This is MINE! Nobody is taking this from me especially that Jackass Bisley. You tried to use Sully to beat me because you knew you could not and tonight you are all alone and I promise you I will not only kick your ass tonight but I will enjoy it. Then after I will celebrate again as I will finally be done with your ass! Then I move on to a better class of opponents!
AMC blows a kiss to the camera.

The camera fades into the backstage area where Amanda Johnson is standing.
Amanda Johnson: Ladies and Gentleman, to get his thoughts on the Mid-Atlantic Legacy championship Elimination Chase, please welcome my guest, Ace Voltage.
The camera zooms out a bit and we see Ace Voltage come into the shot in jeans and a t-shirt, holding his Mid-Atlantic Legacy championship over his shoulder.
Ace Voltage: That is Mid-Atlantic Legacy champion, Ace Voltage to you Amanda! Actually, greatest Mid-Atlantic Legacy champion Ace Voltage!
Amanda Johnson: Noted. Anyway, FGA management has announced a four person elimination chase for your championship over these next few weeks. What are your thoughts on that?
Ace Voltage: Well honey, it seems like FGA has FINALLY listened to my prayers. Upper management has finally got its head out of its ass and is going to find a worthy contender to my title. These past challengers I had were a piece of cake, but now? Maybe I’ll actually have to sweat during the match with the winner. It will be interesting to watch these wrestlers battle it out. I'm glad FGA Management thought of this.
Amanda Johnson: Out of the four competitors that will be competing over the next few weeks, any one wrestler in particular you are watching?
Ace scoffs at the question.
Ace Voltage: Amanda, sweetheart, I will be watching all of the competitors. Laura, Patty, Zacky, and Sparrow. You don’t get a title like this without doing your homework. I will be watching these matches very closely and comfortably of course. Tonight I am just a happy spectator watching the best wrestlers in the world. Of course, people will be disappointed to not see me in action.
Amanda rolls her eyes.
Amanda Johnson: Well this championship exposure has really made you stand out in this great roster. You’ve interacted with a few of these wrestlers during the Gold Rush Rumble. Do you have any idea of who you think will win this chase?
Ace Voltage: I really do not know, but I also don’t care! I am the champion for a reason Amanda! Yes I will get a worthy challenger but that does not mean I won’t wipe the floor with them. Have any of these wrestlers won a title here? Is there any reason to think I won’t be a heavy favorite against whoever wins this chase? Like we’ve seen time and time again, it does not matter who you put in front of me, they all fall to the BEST Mid-Atlantic Legacy champion in FGA history.
Amanda Johnson: All four of these competitors are great wrestlers and it does seem hard to choose a favorite. Within these next few weeks we will see a worthy contender rise up to face Ace Voltage for his title. Who will it be? Only time will tell…
As Amanda is finishing this interview, Ace grabs the microphone from her.
Ace Voltage: Like I said, it does not matter who rises up to the challenge! Laura, Zack, Patty and Sparrow. Wrestle your hearts out. But don’t expect a happy ending. The winner of this elimination chase will get a prize that numerous other wrestlers have received already. A chance to lose to the best champion in FGA! Good luck, chumps.
Ace drops the mic and walks away as Amanda has an annoyed look on her face.

ELIMINATION CHASE: FATAL 4-WAY Laura Perelli vs. Patrick Jones vs. Zack Gall vs. The Mighty Sparrow Kris Cruise: Alright ladies and gentlemen, we’re about to get this Elimination Chase underway. We’ve heard from pretty much all of tonight’s participants, as well as Ace Voltage. Stephy Auger: The Elimination Chase will determine the next challenger for Ace Voltage’s Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship. Tonight, we have a Fatal 4-Way. On the following Vertigo, we’ll have a Triple Threat Match with the three remaining survivors from tonight. The final two will advance to a one on one match, where the winner will meet Ace Voltage for the championship at All-Sta Showdown IX. “Tell dem ah feelin’ good, like a new machine! Like morning dew, fresh on the scene! And we gon’ party to the full extreme, and light it up like gasoline!” From the entrance to the ring, Mighty Sparrow appears through the curtain. He gets in some last minute leg stretches before the West Indian wrestler begins high-fiving fans on his way down the ramp. He gets to the outside of the ring as “Full Extreme” continues playing before he jumps and lands on the apron. With a second jump he clears the ring ropes before taking off for the farthest turnbuckle. He springs onto the second rope turnbuckle, executing a backflip and lands on his feet. He does sliding motion on his heel before turning and striking a pose to the cheers of the crowd. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a Fatal 4-Way! It is scheduled for one fall! Introducing participant number one, hailing from South Oropouche, Trinidad! Weighing in at 205 pounds… MIGHTY SPARROW! Sparrow leans up against his corner, talking a few seconds with the referee before looking out to the crowd. He grabs the ropes in his corner, again with a few last second leg stretches before he is ready to go. Kris Cruise: This is a huge opportunity for The Mighty Sparrow. He isn’t being babied in his FGA debut. He’s being put into the mix. Sparrow’s being thrown right into the deep end. Stephy Auger: We’re gonna find out if he can sink or swim very shortly. As the first sounds of “Hey Man, Nice Shot!” by Filter begin blasting through the P.A System; the arena goes dark and a single spotlight appears in the middle of the stage. After a couple of seconds, the imposing and mysterious figure of Dante Difranco appears on the spotlight followed by his client, Zack “The Dragon” Gall. J.A. Aldridge: His opponent, hailing from Newport, Wales! Being accompanied to the ring by Dante Difranco! He is “ZACK “THE DRAGON” GALL! Gall shakes a bit, moving his arms and hands while shaking his head from side to side as the light slowly comes back on. Gall and Difranco look around and the Italian signals his client to move towards the ring. As the two march down, Gall takes some seconds to inspect the surroundings. Once they get near the apron, Gall slides under the bottom rope and once he’s in the middle of the ring he gets to his knees, extending his arms and hitting the mat a couple of times before getting on his feet and rushing towards the ropes making a throat cut sign. Kris Cruise: Zack Gall is looking to reverse this streak that he’s been on. It all starts right here tonight. If he makes it all the way through to the end, he could carry that momentum into All-Star Showdown. Stephy Auger: He could. But we all know the real draw for Gall in this match and that’s Laura Perelli. Gall and his manager, Dante Difranco, have been at odds with Laura Perelli for the longest. I believe that tonight is the night that Perelli puts the nail in his coffin, once and for all. "I Won't Back Down" by Burn Halo fills the arena. At the first drum beats, a spotlight flickers on the entrance way with Jones coming out as the bass starts in a surge of energy. He spins a full circle with his arms stretched out to revel in the crowd's energy. The spin completes at the top of the ramp where Jones drops to a knee with a big, over-handed fist pump. J.A. Aldridge: Their opponent, hailing from Louisville, Kentucky! Weighing in at 235 pounds… PATRICK JONES! PJ takes a moment to enjoy the cheers around him and collect his thoughts before hopping to his feet. He jogs down the ramp, talking to and high-fiving fans, trying to get them as pumped up and ready to go as he is. Jones goes straight from the ramp and jumps onto the ring apron before ducking through the second and third rope, giving another, slower spin just to drink in the environment. Kris Cruise: Patrick Jones is by far the most experienced grappler in this match. That has to work to his advantage, right? Stephy Auger: You would think so. But we heard Jones say it himself. Even he knows he’s been inconsistent. He knows he should be much further along here than he is. But he’s done it all to himself. But this is a golden opportunity for him to get himself to that next level here in FGA. For his sake, he better not blow it. The arena goes dark for just a moment, as the opening riffs to Voodoo Johnson's "United Divided" play through the PA, before the white lights are replaced by swirling blue and yellow replacements. A few seconds pass, though, and it’s only when the drum beat kicks in that the curtain is pushed aside, and Laura Perelli comes spinning through, immediately spreading her arms out wide, a sly little smile on her face as she glances out into the arena. She holds her spot in the center of the stage, rolling her neck out to either side, only making her way down the ramp when she’s good and ready. Laura’s not exactly in a particular hurry, as she more saunters down the ring, occasionally glancing to either side of her to take in the fans at the aisleway. It’s never for more than a moment or two, though, as the most regard Laura’s willing to give is a little tilt of the head to one fan in particular trying to get her attention--whatever he may have been saying, it didn’t do much to faze her, and she just continues to move on. At her own pace, she eventually reaches the ring steps, pausing with one boot on the bottom step, closing her eyes for just a second before quickly jogging up onto the apron, casually wiping the soles of her boots off before spinning around to face the crowd--if only to smirk a little bit. J.A. Aldridge: Their opponent, hailing from Trenton, New Jersey, weighing in at 127 pounds, this is LAURAAAAA PERRELLIIIIIIIII! Laura swings herself through the ropes, spinning in a half circle to face the opposite side fans and stretching both arms out, holding the pose for more than a couple seconds before eventually backing herself into her corner, shrugging her jacket off and dumping it out of the ring. Grabbing the top rope with one hand, she leans down, stretching her opposite leg out in preparation for the match. Kris Cruise: I’m sure this is your pick to win it all, huh? Stephy Auger: Of course! Why wouldn’t she be? Perelli put Jones down early in her FGA tenure. We’ve lost count how many times she’s gotten the better of Gall. As far as The Mighty Sparrow is concerned, he can have all the potential in the world. But Laura Perelli simply outclasses each and every single one of these guys. It’s been way too long since Perelli had a shot at a championship, Cruise. Over the next several weeks, she’ll take out the competition one by one before punching her ticket for All-Star Showdown IX! The bell sounds as all four grapplers slowly make their way out of their respective corners. Perelli, Jones, Gall and Sparrow keep their head on a swivel. At the drop of a hat, Gall rushes over and goes after Perelli with multiple forearm strikes! The cheers continue as he moves Perelli against the ropes before delivering multiple shoot kicks to the chest. Kris Cruise: Gall’s gone right after Perelli! Stephy Auger: Of course he has! He’s obsessed with beating her. Jones quickly turns Sparrow towards him and catches the newcomer with three knife edge chops. He then takes Sparrow and whips him into the far ropes. Instead of coming back, Sparrow hangs onto the ropes. Jones then runs over to attack when Sparrow ducks and dumps him to the outside! As Jones starts to pick himself up, Sparrow takes off into the far ropes. The Mighty Sparrow comes back and feints a suicide dive before rebounding off the ropes with a backflip. He lands smoothly on his feet before getting into a Rock Lee pose with a small grin. Sparrow runs over to catch Jones as he pulls himself up on the apron. But the vet is able to catch Sparrow with a shoulder thrust through the ropes. The crowd gasps when he hoists Sparrow up for a vertical suplex off the apron. But Sparrow is able to slip down from behind, land on his feet on the floor and take a swipe at Jones’ legs. The crowd cheers when Jones slips off and smacks his face against the apron. Kris Cruise: Jones better check to see if all of his teeth are still there after that fall. Stephy Auger: I agree. Good Looks are the only thing Jones has going for him because wrestling sure isn’t his calling card. Kris Cruise: Stephy, please! Sparrow slips back inside before taking off into the far ropes again. When Sparrow returns, he executes a tiger feint before leaping through the ropes and knocking down Jones with a suicide dive! Kris Cruise: He caught him that time! Stephy Auger: Sparrow could have done that in the first place. All this flipping and spinning will catch up to him, especially in a match like this with three other people. Back in the ring, Gall continues to go to work on Perelli in the corner with multiple headbutts. After Perelli is whipped into the far corner, Gall charges around the ring before throwing himself at her with the Death by Knee (V-Trigger)! He misses! The crowd boos when Perelli clips out of the way, causing Gall to crash into the corner. Gall starts to stumble away from the corner until Perelli brings him down with a Saka Otoshi into Sleeper Hold! Stephy Auger: Code of Silence! Gall ties to pull Perelli’s arm from around his neck. But it’s to no avail. The ref asks Gall if he wants to give up. When he refuses to quit, Perelli lets go before delivering a stomp to his keylocked arm! The boos continue as she scoops Gall up across her shoulder before bringing him down with a shoulderbreaker. Perelli then pulls Gall up into a setting position before clamping on a Shoulder Claw. Gall is seen writhing in pain as Perelli has him right where she wants him. Dante Difranco can be seen on the outside slapping the apron and encouraging Gall to hang on. Perelli turns to Difranco and mocks him while keeping her client in the submission. Suddenly, the boos turn to cheers when Sparrow springboards onto the top turnbuckle, walks halfway across the top rope and knocks Perelli down with a ropewalk dropkick! Kris Cruise: What a maneuver from The Mighty Sparrow! Stephy Auger: What did he do that for? If Gall got submitted, Sparrow still gets to come back and fight next week. I don’t understand that one. Kris Cruise: I think it was less about saving Gall and more about taking advantage of Perelli while she was distracted. Besides, I’m sure Sparrow hasn’t forgotten how Perelli tried to belittle him backstage. Stephy Auger: Belittle, or tell the truth? Sparrow takes Perelli, moves her against the turnbuckles and goes to work with corner chest kicks. Perelli continues to get caught with kick after kick until she catches Sparrow’s leg. The crowd boos as she drags Sparrow out of the corner. Perelli continues to taunt him until she gets caught with a enzuigiri that sends her flipping down to the mat. Sparrow then hits the ropes, comes back and connects with a running senton! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Perelli kicks out. Perelli reverses an irish whip, sending Sparrow into the ropes. When Sparrow returns, he goes to baseball slide through Perelli’s legs. But she reaches down in time and catches Sparrow by his hair. After Perelli slowly pulls Sparrow back to his feet, he nails her with a bell clap to the ears! While Perelli is dazed, Sparrow turns and hits the far ropes. When he returns, he throws out a jumping Crescent Kick. But Perelli ducks out of the way, grabs him from behind, runs and chucks him through the ropes. The crowd boos as Sparrow lands on the outside. The boos are then kicked up a notch when Perelli gives him her trademark ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ shrug. Perelli backs away from the corner. When she turns around, she does a double take as Jones leaps off the top rope and knocks her down with a flying crossbody! Kris Cruise: Jones out of nowhere with the high crossbody! This could be it right here! ONE! . . TWO! . . Perelli kicks out. Perelli reverses another irish whip, sending Jones into the ropes. As soon as Jones hits the ropes, he leaps across the ring and knocks Perelli down with a flying forearm smash. He heads over, pulls Perelli back to her feet and whips her into the ropes. When Perelli returns, Jones knocks her off her feet with a second flying forearm smash. Jones then throws Perelli down with a scoop slam before heading out to the apron. He points up before scaling the turnbuckles. Once he reaches the top, he leaps off for a flying elbow drop! He misses! The crowd gasps when Perelli rolls out of the way. Perelli is then booed when she turns Jones over into the prone position before locking on a Fujiwara Armbar! Kris Cruise: Perelli’s got him trapped! Stephy Auger: That was so smart. She didn’t waste any time showboating after he missed. Perelli jumped right on him! Perelli continues to crank back on the arm until Gall rushes over and breaks up the submission with a running double foot stomp. Gall pulls Perelli back to her feet before throwing her into the turnbuckles with an Exploder Suplex! He then pulls Perelli back up before throwing her out of the corner with another Exploder Suplex. Difranco is seen pounding the apron as he yells at Gall to keep pouring on the offense. Gall does just that by planting Perelli with a jumping Spike DDT! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . NO! Sparrow breaks up the pin with a springboard guillotine leg drop! Stephy Auger: He should have just let Perelli be pinned. She’s the most dangerous person in this match! The cheers continue as Sparrow picks up Gall and takes control of his back before bringing him down with Byron Lee’s Dragonaires (Back-to-back rolling dragon suplexes)! ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! Gall kicks out. Sparrow takes Gall and whips him into the ropes. When he returns, he sees Sparrow setting up for a back body drop. So he stops and nails Sparrow with a kick to the face. After Sparrow is knocked upright, Gall snaps his head back with the Death By Knee! Sparrow remains dazed as Gall hits the far ropes. When Gall returns, Sparrow knocks him down with a falling Crescent Kick! Sparrow then runs over and knocks Jones back down with a falling Crescent Kick. Perelli then turns Sparrow around and sets up for an irish whip. She gets reversed! When Perelli returns, Sparrow knocks her down with a falling Crescent Kick! Kris Cruise: The Mighty Sparrow has cleaned house! Stephy Auger: Hold your hoses, Cruise. Just calm down. He hasn’t pinned anyone yet. This one isn’t over. Sparrow steps out onto the apron and starts slapping the top turnbuckle as he readies himself for another high risk maneuver. Once Gall gets back to his feet, Sparrow goes for a springboard crossbody block… and gets countered with a dropkick in mid air! Kris Cruise: Gall with the well-timed counter! Stephy Auger: That’s what he gets for waiting. You have to seize the moment, Cruise! Sparrow didn’t know any better. Jones knew better, but decided to play to the crowd, anyway. Gall takes Sparrow and whips him into the ropes. When Sparrow returns, Gall throws him down with an overhead belly to belly suplex. Jones tries to catch Gall when he turns around with Zoned Out (Superkick)! But Gall is able to catch his foot in time. He then swings Jones’ leg away from him and takes control of his back before throwing him down with a Half Nelson Suplex! Gall goes over, picks up Perelli and blasts her with a headbutt before whipping her into the ropes. He sets up for an overhead belly to belly off the rebound when Perelli counters with a running STO! Perelli pulls Gall back to his feet and lifts him up across her shoulders before bringing him down with an Ushi Goroshi! She then pulls Gall up to a seated position before hitting the ropes. When Perelli returns, Jones comes out of nowhere and blasts her with Zoned Out! The crowd cheers as Perelli stumbles back before falling through the ropes. With Perelli now on the outside, Jones runs over and flattens Gall with a stomping to the face. He then heads to the ropes before exiting out to the apron. Jones then heads over towards the ring post before climbing the turnbuckles. Once he reaches the top, he leaps off and connects with a flying elbow drop! Kris Cruise: The high risk paid off that time for Jones! Jones heads into the corner and stomps his foot on the canvas. He raises his foot before stomping it on the canvas again. Kris Cruise: He’s calling for it, Stephy! You know what comes next! Jones’ stomps get faster and faster the closer Gall gets to returning to his feet. As soon as Gall turns around, Jones motions out of the corner for Zoned Out. But before he can fully make his way out of the corner, Sparrow reaches in from the outside and yanks him down to the mat. After dragging Jones to the outside, Sparrow scoops him up before throwing him down with a fallaway slam. Kris Cruise: Jones was seconds away from securing himself a spot in the next phase of the Elimination Chase. Now he’s been taking out on the outside! Sparrow gets back to his feet when he gets blindsided with a topé con hilo from Gall! Kris Cruise: The Mighty Sparrow just got taken out by that dive! Gall gets back to his feet. When he turns around, he sees Perelli using the apron to pull herself up on the opposite side of the ring. The two rivals lock eyes before rolling back inside. Kris Cruise: Business is about to pick up here. The crowd buzzes with anticipation until they rush forward and collide in the center of the ring. The two grapplers trade forearm strikes until Gall gains the upper hand. After doubling Perelli over with a boot to the midsection, he lifts her up before planting her with a Cradle DDT! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Perelli gets her shoulder up. Difranco slaps the apron three times before holding three fingers up at the referee. Kris Cruise: He thought his client had her beat! Stephy Auger: I don’t know who wants Perelli to lose more, Gall or Difranco! Gall pulls Perelli back to her feet and scoops her up before bringing her down with a Michinoku Driver II! ONE! . . TWO! . . Perelli kicks out. Difranco throws his hands up after seeing the kickout. Kris Cruise: Difranco is beside himself on the outside. Gall pulls Perelli back to her feet before taking off into the ropes. When he returns, he whiffs on a running lariat when Perelli ducks. Gall then turns around and gets caught with a European Uppercut from Perelli before answering back with a roundhouse kick. He then turns to hit the ropes when Perelli reaches forward, grabs him by the back of the tights and pulls him into a knee strike to the back. She then takes control of Gall’s back before bringing him down with Dead Money (Regal-Plex)! ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! Gall gets his shoulder up. Kris Cruise: Close call. Perelli pulls up Gall and sets him up for another Ushi Goroshi when Gall counters with elbows to the side of the head. After slipping down from behind, Gall takes control of her back and goes for the Jaw Buster (Ripcord Rolling Elbow). Perelli ducks the strike before countering with a boot to the midsection. She then takes control of Gall before bringing him down with the Royal Flush (Swinging Fisherman’s Suplex)! ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! The crowd boos as "United Divided" hits the speakers. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this bout… LAURA PERELLI! The boos continue as Perelli gets her arm raised in victory. Kris Cruise: Laura Perelli has done it. She has defeated Zack Gall, sending Gall packing from this Elimination Chase! That means that on the next episode of Vertigo, it will be Perelli versus Patrick Jones versus The Mighty Sparrow in a Triple Threat Match! Stephy Auger: They may be a third of the way done with this Elimination Chase. But it’s Perelli that got the win. It was Perelli who, in my mind, got the better of all three of these guys at various points of the match. She’s the one with the momentum. Whether you like it or now, she remains the one to beat. • COMMERCIAL BREAK •
