CHARACTER BACKGROUND
PERSONALITY:
After losing the United States championship to Logan Alexander, Sparrow---or rather Raphael Dallins has gone full paladin. No more brokering, no more trying to make nice, no more trying to humor shades of gray. Sportsmanship has its place to peers who believe in that. For the most part, outwardly Raphael Dallins is still as earnest a wrestler as ever and wants to prove himself...But there's something...A little sinister to everything he does now. Something at least a small contingent of fans at every arena can see plain as day.
STRENGTHS:
1. His Cardio Day Must Be Intense: He’s got an insane amount of stamina, as befitting someone pinballing all around the ring like a crazy person. Tanking through big moves with a refuse to quit attitude sees Raphael very hard to put down...Especially because he reserves energy instead of jumping off of everything.
2. Death By Legs: There’s a reason kick attacks make up a compelling amount of his offense. His strikes and aerial abilities are absolutely the most dangerous offense he has. This comes from a Capoeira background. With Izzy Anders gone, Sparrow may be THE most dangerous striker in the company. Period.
3. Master Surgeon: You can outpower him, outfly him, outshine him...But God help you trying to out-wrestle him. Raphael has dove full into his bag of grappling and ring awareness. Favoring upper body holds (shoulder, arm, and back), he will pick you apart slowly.
WEAKNESSES:
1. PTSD From Past Me: High-fliers and speedy wrestlers annoy Raphael now. Using a daredevil style that he once believed in and now can’t keep up with serves as frustrating to wrestle against. Keep moving and he will be increasingly nettled, becoming prone to making mistakes. He’s outright refusing to play catch up and waste energy.
2. Impatience Is A Virtue?: Raphael gets more frustrated the longer a match goes on, as per any bog standard heel (yet he’s a super face now, go figure.) That last move didn’t put his opponent away for the three count? They still won’t tap? Cue punching on the mat or arguing with the referee while throwing his hands up in aggravation. Anything that gives his opponent a few precious moments to start the counterattack.
3. The Code: Becoming full extreme on the lawful good spectrum, has eaten up even more awareness as a wrestler. No cheating. No holds until four. Easily cheated out of matches, easily outsmarted, easily jumped, unaware of seeing things coming. Adding to that, he becomes a bit of a wet blanket teaming with peers. He will straight up stop a tag partner cheating, even to the detriment of the team.
TAUNTS/MANNERISMS:
1. Raphael will do a Rock Lee pose. This is mostly to psyche out an opponent/pop the crowd.
2. After taking a particularly brutal move from an opponent, Raphael Dallins will kip-up as though it didn’t affect him...And then immediately faceplant/flop in sheer agony. Basically to show his opponent hit him so STUPIDLY hard that it took his brain a minute to register how much that hurt. Honestly, this is just a really fancy Flair Flop. Don’t judge me.
3. Raphael will slowly raise his opponent up off the ground with one boot, ala Malachi/Aliester Black before kicking them back down or hitting a finisher. This is that vicious streak at work.
4. Not really Raphael but please note that at least twenty percent of the crowd should be against him no matter what he does. Cheering his opponent no matter who they are.

BACKGROUND:
Raphael Dallins was adopted by a Caribbean family shortly after his mother put him up for adoption. He grew up in a loving household however, with parents who were as good to him as he could ever ask. (At least until he began disagreeing about religion and the rights of other people. Then...Well.) He found a love in football... Well football, rugby, some capoeira but found his way to professional wrestling through a local backyard company in Port of Spain. Eventually, it got to him flying to the states to get more American wrestling experience. Along the way he adopted the mask, deciding that going by Raphael was a bit bland. He adopted his name in honor of Trinidad’s legendary Calypsonian singer, Mighty Sparrow.
After a year of experience, he had since given up the mask, feeling that trying to identify himself and even define himself as some sort of enigmatic figure did not work how he might have liked. He, however, kept the name Sparrow and still identifies as such. His training has seen him under Chris Strike’s banner even teaming with Strike’s daughter on a few occasions as the Birds of Prey. Following that, he got extensive learning from Vivienne Robichaud at Lion’s Den NOLA to iron out his chosen wrestling style.
Since wrestling doesn’t pay the bills that well for a journeyman wrestler, he supplemented his income as a sous chef for Poor Estelle’s in Port Allen, Louisiana... He’s actually a pretty excellent chef for whatever that is worth and made a decently successful Youtube channel from the skill. After a few month's of hiatus from professional wrestling, Sparrow has returned to his passion, revitalized. This has come to a head in 2021 where he ended Ace Voltage’s iron grip over the Mid-Atlantic Legacy championship. More success would follow in the form of dethroning Mark Bisley to hold the FGA 15 championship and becoming the fifth person to hold two titles at once in FGA.
Following the fallout of All-Star Showdown X and a failed bet, he has gotten a manager he never wanted in the form of veteran wrestler Caroline Dallins. Caroline seems to see her little brother as needing guidance only she can offer. Her guidance would come off and on in successes, but the two siblings finally parted ways after Caroline admitted to having booked Sparrow to team with HENNY in a match with US Champion Owen Gonsalves & Gareth Prichard Jr...
...After HENNY had interrupted a very hard-fought match between Sparrow and Owen for the U.S. Championship a few shows before. Coupling that with her trying to convince Nina Stokes to take his head, getting him booked in a match against Artemis Kaiser (and nearly getting him crippled), the two siblings realized they could not work together for any longer...Okay really, Caroline decided she had done all she could with him and got Sparrow as far as she could take him. Enter Calico Case, taking over with a...New style of management, and just in time with Sparrow now holding the U.S. Championship...Only for Caroline to have potentially removed his new manager in record time. It seems that his sister will forever specter over his career, even if she's not managing him.
It's been an interesting recent few months. While teaming with TJ Techniques and forming Def Before Dishonor would see TJ and Sparrow collect the World Tag Championships, the U.S. Championship & Pride Championship all at once, the fallout that followed would change Sparrow's, or rather Raphael's direction. After believing for a time that Logan Alexander was something of a kindred spirit in ring, Sparrow was proven wrong when Logan made an example of both he and TJ after taking the U.S. Championship.
In the shadow of that, and the rivalry with Silk & Cyanide continuing, Sparrow seemingly re-christened himself as Raphael Dallins, as well as calling back on Caroline as his manager once more. For why? Who can say.

THERE'S NOWHERE TO RUN, NOWHERE TO HIDE!"[/div]
"The Foundation" Raphael Dallins emerges through the curtain, flanked by his manager and sister Caroline. Raphael hops on the balls of his toes to "The Demon's Blade" as the crowd splits on cheers and boos at about eighty percent to twenty. He begins walking down to the ramp, high-fiving a few fans with his eyes towards the ring. He steps onto the apron, before sliding through the first and second rope as Caroline takes the stairs to get into the ring.
Raphael rolls his shoulder before taking off his white fitted hat. He takes off for the opposite rope, rebounds and launches the hat into the crowd for a lucky fan to catch. The crowd cheers, for a moment the undercurrent of boos and jeers completely disappearing.

[div align="center"]“Cartier weaponry, chain gang recipe!
Punch you in your face, after we exchange pleasantries!
I always understood that the pain was a necessity,
Put the pressure on you, until we exchange densities.

It's a different game, man, Need the same referee.”[/div]
Caroline goes over some last minute plans with her client before she exits the ring, leaving Raphael to the match. He nods at the referee politely, before rolling his shoulders and wrists.
