"Can You Feel It?"
"Can You Feel It?"
"Can You Feel It?"
The beat of "Can you feel it?" kicks in, and the crowd bursts into cheers, knowing who is about to arrive. The funky beat quickly spreads through the arena, and the crowd begins stomping and clapping along as the song begins. The lights in the arena dim, with pink and gold spotlights swirling around the arena.
"If you look around
The whole world is coming together now...baby..."
"Can You Feel It?"
"Can You Feel It?"
"Can You Feel It?!"
The crowd is getting heavily into the song, and as the Jacksons sing the title of the song, the lights in the arena bump brighter and brighter.
Feel it in the air, the wind is taking it everywhere...
"Can You Feel It?"
"Can You Feel It?"
"Can You Feel It?!"
On the third one, A spotlight and the camera focuses in on the emerging figure of Fujiko Mine, who stands at one of the crowd entrances. She stands with a Blaise Fader shirt on her form, the FGA title around her waist. Fujiko keeps her movements a bit reserved, but it is clear she is enjoying the music as the crowd is. She begins to make her way down the steps, dancing and bobbing down the steps until she reaches the arena floor.
J.A Aldridge: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the FGA World champion, Fujiko Mine!!
After maneuvering through a cleared aisle in the crowd, Fujiko reaches the ringside area, and follows it up with a graceful handspring onto and over the guardrail. She quickly runs up the steps, then steps through the ropes.
"Now, tell me..."
"Can You Feel It?"
"Can You Feel It?"
"Can You Feel It?!"
Fujiko strides to the center of the ring, unbuckling and hoisting the FGA championship high into the air, leading the roof of the Spectrum center to come unglued. She then relaxes it down onto her shoulder. J.A lends her the microphone, and she grips it in her right hand for a bit.

Fujiko Mine: Guys, gals, non-binary pals of Charlotte...thank you.
She nods, adjusting the championship that she has held dear. The crowd bites at the mention of their city, cheering again.
Fujiko Mine: 2018 was a revelation for the Blissbringer. A year that saw me become the wrestler of the year.
She exhales shortly.
Fujiko Mine: Who knew that this year would top that?
A proud grin forms on her face as the crowd cheers.
Fujiko Mine: I don’t need to recap what happened for all of you, you all remember how it went. But I will touch on one overarching element of 2019.
She lets the grin fade.
Fujiko Mine: My involvement with Izzy Anders.
There are substantial cheers for the other half of The Joker and The Thief.
Fujiko Mine: From the US tag team championship run that completed her goal of becoming a grand slam champion...to helping me realizing my dream of becoming your FGA World champion...Izzy was involved. And after Above & Beyond, in which we went to war over this…
She has a sense of reverence on her face as she mentions it.
Fujiko Mine: It’s a shame it won’t be considered for match of the year.
There are boos ringing out throughout the arena, something that Fujiko can only shrug at.
Fujiko Mine: But I want to publicly acknowledge Izzy Anders. We both believed we would leave Above & Beyond with the championship we seem to have been chasing our entire careers. It was fate that we would have to meet up with it on the line. And knowing that I had my back against the wall, with my dreams of being the BEST this company has ever seen on the line…
She moves the microphone away, drawing the back of her hand up to wipe away the misty feelings.
Fujiko Mine: It made this championship mean more to me. It made my time here mean more to me. I cannot thank her, and all of you, enough.
““Thank you Fuji!”
“Thank you Fuji!”
“Thank you Fuji!”
“Thank you Fuji!”
“Thank you Fuji!”
“Thank you Fuji!”
“Thank you Fuji!”
Fujiko cannot suppress the joy as she slowly turns in place, taking in the sights of the people around her.
Fujiko Mine: I could sit here and talk more about the past...but that’s not what you are here for tonight. You are here to see what is to come!
She revs her emotions with renewed vigor, ripping a cheer from the crowd, when all of a sudden…
Never sell out
Sometimes you gotta talk that talk to em, Nipsey
Sometimes they can't handle it though...
But we don't care...
Yeah
This a moment, This special...

This a moment, This special...
The crowd goes absolutely berserk as “Been Down” by Nipsey Hussle blasts throughout the arena. After a few moments, the newly crowned International Heavyweight Champion, Cordelia Stevenson makes her way from the back to a thunderous ovation. She stops atop the ramp, surveying the crowd with a huge smile. She pats the title on her shoulder and then hoists it into the air, holding it proudly in the air for all to see. She slowly makes her way down the ramp, reaching out and slapping hands with some of the fans as she makes her way towards the steps. She jogs up and climbs into the ring, and then makes her way to the nearest corner and climbs the turnbuckle. She lifts her arms into the air, drawing another thundering cheer from the crowd as she hops back down and the music fades out. She gives a nod to Fujiko as she makes her way around and gets handed a microphone. She slowly saunters back towards the center of the ring, lifting her mic to say something to Fujiko, but before she can even utter a word, a loud chant breaks out.
“Cordy!”
“Cordy!”
“Cordy!”
“Cordy!”
Cordy raises an eyebrow and can’t help but to crack a smile. Fujiko moves to a nearby turnbuckle, allowing Cordy to take center ring. She leans back in the corner, letting her microphone dangle from her fingers.
Cordelia Stevenson: Wow, it seems we’ve really got a live bunch out here with us tonight. I’m feeling that! What’s good, Charlotte?!”
The Spectrum Center howls in response and Cordy just chuckles. She glances over at Fujiko and nods approvingly.
Cordelia Stevenson: Oh yeah, I think Charlotte is definitely rocking with us tonight, chica. Just like they were rocking with me at Autumn Annihilation, when I overcame Johnny Karma and Savannah Taylor to win this—
She points at the title on her shoulder.
Cordelia Stevenson: — and become the NEW, International Heavyweight Champion.
The crowd is definitely live and responsive, once again popping with their approval. Fujiko raises an eyebrow.
Cordelia Stevenson: What a way to cap off 2019, right? It’s still a little crazy to me, you know? When 2019 began, I can honestly tell you that I never imagined it ending quite like this. Hell, I never imagined that I’d find myself back here; in this very ring; in front of all you amazing people. I never imagined that I’d be standing here at the 8 Year Anniversary show, as… a champion. Yet, here we are, tonight: 3 years removed from me defeating Tony Carmine and Izzy Anders in the same night to become FGA World Champion for the very first time, at the 5th Anniversary show; 2 years removed from my Hall of Fame induction and retirement at the 6th Anniversary show — where I find myself partnering with this amazing talent right here—-
She steps to the side, sweeping her arm around and motioning towards Fujiko. The crowd eats the gesture up, loving the idea of seeing the two champions compete together.
Cordelia Stevenson: — and the US Champion, Nina Stokes…
The cheers quickly turn to boos at the mentioning of Nina’s name. Cordy winces, not expecting the hate to be so strong.
Cordelia Stevenson: and the FGA 15 Champion, Ashley Sands.
The chorus of boos turn to cheers.
Cordelia Stevenson: — with the opportunity for each and every one of us to close the year out with a bang, and end 2019 on an even higher note. Well, at least try to, because I don’t even think the note could get any higher for you, chica.
She turns toward Fujiko and gives her a proud nod.
Cordelia Stevenson: Your 2019 was astounding. One of the most well put together years I’ve ever seen, if I must say so myself.
The Apex Goddess nods back at Cordelia.
Fujiko Mine: I appreciate it, Cordy. You already outlined how great your year was, so there’s not much left for me to say but two things.
She pushes herself out of the corner, keeping the FGA World championship in her grip.
Fujiko Mine: Congratulations on your victory, and welcome back.
Another big round of cheers as the two champions stand in the ring. Cordelia mouths the words ‘thank you’ to Fujiko and nods.
Fujiko Mine: But let's not forget about who we are facing tonight. Mark Bisley…
Boos ring through.
Fujiko Mine: Sadie San Francisco…
Cheers blossom from the bed of boos.
Fujiko Mine: Savannah Taylor…
...and back to the boos for the former International champion.
Fujiko Mine: And…
Fujiko displays a wolfish grin.
Fujiko Mine: Ashlyn De Luca.
Major boos. Fujiko suppresses a laugh.
Fujiko Mine: I don’t really think these fans care for most of that team. I think that they’d rather focus on who is the ring right now, yes?
The crowd agrees wholeheartedly. Cordelia paces around the ring, really feeling the energy. She stops and looks at Fujiko.
Cordelia Stevenson: And why wouldn’t they, chica? Standing right here in front of their very eyes are two of the biggest names in FGA history. Two of the most accomplished wrestlers this company has ever seen; a hall of famer and a future hall of famer, and the top champions of the company’s two bran---
Cordelia catches herself and holds up a finger.
Cordelia Stevenson: well, the company’s top two champions because as I’m sure you’ve all heard, my beloved Flashpoint is no more.
The crowd lets out a chorus of boos.
Cordelia Stevenson: I know, believe me, I know. I was devastated when I heard the news. I was definitely looking forward to making my mark there, but, as much as I am sad, I’m also ecstatic. The merging of the brands opens up an array of possibilities and the prospect of --
Her voice trails off as she cocks her head to the side, looking into Fujiko’s direction.
Cordelia Stevenson: -- Some interesting matchups.
Cordelia flashes a smirk as she adjusts the International Heavyweight Championship on her shoulder. The crowd seems to catch her hint and the Spectrum Center immediately erupts into a madhouse.
Fujiko clearly catches on Cordelia’s meaning, but raises her eyebrows anyway.
Fujiko Mine: Why Cordelia, are you insinuating that with no more brand split, that you could see matches like Tyler Storm vs Nina Stokes, Jimmy Page vs. Seth Iser, and even...the FGA World champion versus the FGA International champion?
Fujiko glances at her championship, stoking the fires a little more.
“Lets go Cordy!”
“FU-JI-KO!”
“Lets go Cordy!”
“FU-JI-KO!”
“Lets go Cordy!”
“FU-JI-KO!”
“Lets go Cordy!”
“FU-JI-KO!”
Fujiko takes a step towards Cordy, a smirk on her face when…
“I come to life…”
A deafening chorus of boos cuts through the moment as “Suburbia” hits the PA system. The two champions are hesitant to break their gaze from each other before simultaneously turning their heads toward the entranceway. The boos only grow in volume as Ashlyn De Luca finally makes her way out onto the top of the ramp, already dressed to compete, save for a white t-shirt which reads “BEING IN CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA MAKES ME MILDLY UNCOMFORTABLE.” De Luca looks amused by the reaction of the audience, feigning surprise at the jeers as she navigates the ringside area, walking over to grab a microphone from the timekeeper. Her music fades and she drums the top of the mic for a few seconds until production audibly powers it on. With a smile, she looks up at Stevenson and Mine.
Ashlyn De Luca: Hey!
“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
Ashlyn De Luca: Come-- calm down. You don’t even know what I’m gonna say.
De Luca shrugs off the incessant booing and marches up the steps, though she abruptly stops on the apron, casting another smile on the occupants of the ring.
Ashlyn De Luca: Look at you guys. You know-- the people at home and in the nosebleeds don’t get this, but the camera totally doesn’t do those belts justice. Those-- can we get, like, a really good cameraman in here to get a closeup of those things? Not you, Oliver. I’ve seen your work. It’s shotty. You-- you, get in there. Look at that.
Another camera enters the ring, getting a closeup shot of Cordy Stevenson’s International Heavyweight Championship, capturing every jewel on its plates, and every groove in the white leather, earning an obligatory pop from the crowd-- albeit a look of skepticism from the champ. The cameraman then moves over toward Fujiko, getting a closeup shot of the FGA World Championship, again, capturing every small groove… until Fujiko calmly pulls away, eyes drifting back toward De Luca.
Ashlyn De Luca: Oh. Alright. No need for that.
De Luca softly clears her throat and steps into the ring between the bottom-and-middle ropes. She slowly approaches Cordy and Fujiko, smile still in tact. Fujiko’s eyes narrow, but she doesn’t move otherwise.
Ashlyn De Luca: Nothing against Izzy. She came out here, she fought, and she walked back without the gold but it was after something… mmm… poetic. I mean the huge, tearful hug at the end-- ohmygod. It got me. It was totally cinematic. I was basically about to cry myself, but my restraint should be admired!
Ashlyn turns solely to Cordy and her smile begins to fade.
Ashlyn De Luca: But Johnny Karma? Savannah Taylor? Sure, they fought as well as they could when they weren’t too busy giving meee attention, but after the way they carried themselves leading up to Autumn Annihilation they should be embarrassed. I told all three of you that I deserved a match for the International Heavyweight Title and I tried to make it easy, you know. I tried to work with you back in that tag match main event that everyone-- except you, Cordy-- was so eager to count me out of. But no one wanted to work with De Lucz. No one wanted to listen to me. So what did I do? I came out here in that tag match, carried Savvy to victory once again, and soundly defeated both number one contenders to the title. And still, not even a whisper about my title match.
Abruptly, Ashlyn’s light-hearted almost singsong tone disappears, giving way to a cold, dejected one.
Ashlyn De Luca: I should’ve been in that title match at Autumn Annihilation. You know. You--
De Luca’s smile fades for a moment, but she points a finger toward Cordy, smirking just slightly.
Ashlyn De Luca: You should’ve done the right thing when you saw them treating me like a goddamn stranger and made me sit out there with them. You should’ve DEMANDED that I got put in that title match.
Ashlyn speaks over the booing audience, which grows steadily louder.
Ashlyn De Luca: And if THAT didn’t work, you should’ve given me your spot. You and Johnny both should’ve excused yourselves from the situation entirely and then-- and then I would be out here, your reigning International Heavyweight Champion. But instead… you’re out here, gloating about this gross, tainted title win. I totally thought more of you. I totally thought--
Fujiko takes an aggressive step towards De Luca, a scornful look appearing on her face.
Fujiko Mine: I totally thought that you were keen on what was it? Let me check my notes...uh, “punching me in the neck”?
The crowd lets out an “ooohh…” as the FGA champion gets aggressive. Ashlyn raises her brows, visibly biting her tongue as she gazes back at Fujiko, unsure of how to proceed, Cordy steps up, placing a hand on Fujiko’s shoulder as if to hold her back.
Cordelia Stevenson: Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on, I don’t think she’s ready for, or wants those kind of problems, chica.
Cordelia surveys the situation, momentarily thinking of just saying what the hell and letting the FGA World Champion tear into their uninvited guest. Instead she shakes her head and turns her attention towards Ashlyn. Fujiko returns to her original position, allowing Cordy to take control of the situation.
Cordelia Stevenson: If memory serves me correctly, Ashlyn… you DID have an opportunity to be in the main event at Autumn Annihilation, did you not? Because I most certainly recall you being apart of that number one contender battle royal at Flashpoint 39 if I’m not mistaken.
De Luca shakes her head, muttering under her breath, though her words aren’t picked up on mic. Cordelia circles around the ring, her fingers to her chin as if in deep thought. Finally she stops and steps forward, leaning down a bit to look Ashlyn in the eyes.
Cordelia Stevenson: And I also remember throwing you out of it.
Ashlyn De Luca: So unnecessary.
The crowd gives a loud cheer at the fond memory which brings a smile to Cordy’s face. Fujiko smirks and shrugs at Ashlyn. Cordy straightens up and shrugs.
Cordelia Stevenson: That was your golden ticket chica, and you know what? You blew it. Instead of cashing in that ticket, you had to settle for a front row one instead, but at least you got to witness a hell of a show and kick it with some amazing fans in the process. But one thing I will say Ashy -- oh yeah, that’s my nickname for you by the way -- is that I admire the hell out of your tenacity. You’re a go-getter and I respect the hell out of that. I mean, she’s got some spunk, right Fuji?
Cordy turns to Fujiko, who gives a slight roll of her eyes. Cordy just shakes her head and turns her attention back to De Luca.
Cordelia Stevenson: Granted, your approach and the highly questionable tactics that you use may be far different from the methods I would, but I can respect the differences. That’s why I knew better than to count you out during that tag match, chica. No disrespect or slight to Savannah at all, because we all know what she is capable of, but I knew that you would be the wild card, and sure enough you showed up and showed out, just as I knew you would. So don’t for one second think that you’re overlooked or that you’re not on my radar, because you are, and that in itself might prove to be the most detrimental thing for you. Just as it was in the battle royal. Because when threats get identified, well, then they get eliminated. Now as for me giving you my spot at Autumn Annihilation?
Cordelia chuckles.
Cordelia Stevenson: One thing you’ll come to know about me chica is that I don’t give away anything but warranted ass whoopings, and you’re more than free to reserve one at your convenience.
The crowd lets out a loud “ooohhhh” at the comment. Ashlyn’s eyebrows arch and she shifts her posture a bit, placing her hands at her sides.
Fujiko Mine: And if reservations aren’t really your thing, sweetie?
Fujiko tilts her head to the left.
Fujiko Mine: The Apex Goddess is more than willing to serve you one anytime you decide you want to call upon her.
The audience reaches a fever pitch and Ashlyn rubs at her eyes for a moment, shaking her head… before calmly slinking back against the ropes and taking one, smooth step out onto the apron.
Ashlyn De Luca: You know-- I see where this is going. And I would love to entertain the two of you, but uh… it’s been a long holiday. I’ve got a lot on my plate already. So as you can imagine, I need to spend all my free time prepping. I mean-- plus I’m already scheduled to beat the hell out of you two at the end of the night. So…
Ashlyn conveniently drops down from the apron after that last remark and backs up toward the ramp with a smile, ignoring the boos of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Ashlyn De Luca: Congrats again, guys!
De Luca’s smile fades and she turns her attention to Cordy… and specifically the championship in her possession.
Ashlyn De Luca: I’ll make sure I get a real close-up look later tonight.
She smirks again, tossing the mic to the floor before turning on her heel, making her way up the ramp as “Suburbia” hits once again. Cordy just slightly shakes her head, exchanging a glance with the equally unimpressed Fujiko Mine, who offers a snort of amusement. We fade to black as the champions gaze up the ramp.
