The scene opens in an FGA studio, where the camera is focused on Amanda Johnson seated behind a desk, smiling politely to the camera.
Amanda Johnson: Ladies and gentlemen, good morning, afternoon or evening to you depending on where you are when you view this. I am Amanda Johnson and I'm here for FGA Online to update you on a news story that has been unfolding over the course of the last several days. It began here at FGA's headquarters in Bloomfield, New Jersey when FGA executive committee member Leonard T. Asherman and Flashpoint general manager Kayden Jade Jones met with team of attorneys from Marcel & Martel: Attorneys & Law who were representing their client, former FGA competitor and Flashpoint member, Logan Alexander.
Amanda Johnson: According to sources present at the meeting, Alexander's representatives had requested this meeting to negotiate a release from his FGA contract that had been in effect at the time. Due to concerns regarding his current condition after recent events in FGA and ability to meet the terms of his contract, Alexander's representatives were looking to negotiate mutually acceptable terms for the release. Logan Alexander was not present for these meetings. His attorneys had declined to offer any comment on this situation. Members of FGA management had offered no further details either after the initial meeting.
Amanda Johnson: Logan Alexander has not offered any public comments for FGA in almost three months, since the night that Ashlyn De Luca, his former tag team partner, attacked him after their failed attempt to reclaim the FGA World Tag Team Championship from current champions Pendragon. It was reported that, during that match, Logan had suffered a separated shoulder. De Luca's post match attack further aggravated that injury as well as inflicting a concussion on him as well. While his exact condition about six weeks later was unknown when he showed up at All Star Showdown, there are unconfirmed reports that he suffered whiplash damage to his neck and hairline fractures to his skull and jawbone from her assault just before the conclusion of the match, along with broken ribs, another concussion and undisclosed spinal injuries from her post match attack on him.
Amanda Johnson: We had reached out to Logan Alexander and his family for update and comment after All Star Showdown, but have not received any response from them. I did travel to Toronto more recently to make an attempt at seeing Logan in person, but was rebuffed as well.
Amanda Johnson: Instead, I then ventured out to Logan's school in Stouffville, Ontario to see if I could get any updates or comments related to him from friends or students of his there.
A clip starts to play, taking place within one of the training areas of the Alexander Multi-Discipline Training Centre. The camera is focused on a woman with light skin and long red hair tied into a ponytail behind her. She's wearing a t-shirt with the school's logo on the front of it. A caption at the bottom of the screen identifies her as Casey Anderson, wrestling trainer and friend of Logan. She glances briefly at the camera before lowering her gaze.
Casey Anderson: It was really unfortunate to see things unfold as they did between Logan and Ashlyn. He always viewed her as a prized pupil and was proud of her for all that she accomplished on her own. To see them come apart like this though... It's just something that wasn't imaginable.
The scene shifts and now the camera is focused on a fair skinned man with head of unruly looking medium length blonde hair. He appears to be wearing a dark grey gi. The caption reads, Eric Stevens, martial arts trainer. He holds the camera with a steady gaze.
Eric Stevens: You never want to see a team like that end so violently. Those two were such a great tandem. Complimenting strengths and offsetting weaknesses. It's why they were one of the best teams you'll ever see. But like so many other teams, it ended thanks to ego. That was her great flaw. His was compassion. His soft spot for her blinded him to what was coming.
We cut again, now to a younger oriental woman, her hair is braided behind her and she's attired in plain workout clothes. Her caption gives her name as Hina Yeung, trainee. Fixed on the camera, her look carries a lot of anger behind it.
Hina Yeung: It was betrayal. Plain and simple. She waited for the right time and put the knife in his back to serve her own ends. She'd better hope it was worth it and that she can survive on her own, cause that's something no one will ever forget and she'll never have anyone's trust ever again.
Again the scene shifts, bringing focus to a man of Indian descent. His hair is cut into a short flat top. He's got a red muscle shirt on and his arms folded across his chest. His name in the caption is Mohammed Alhabari and his position is given as MMA trainer. He doesn't look at the camera. Instead his gaze is focused at something out of frame.
Mohammed Alhabari: I've seen Logan once in the last few months. From what I saw, he was devastated by what had happened. I don't think he's ever had to deal with something like this before. Not with someone so close to him personally turning against him like this. It's not a wonder that he's been out of sight for so long since.
Another change occurs and the camera settles on a man of African background. He's got a dress shirt on and his dark hair is cut close to his head. The caption beneath him reads Justin Maxwell, wrestling trainer and friend of Logan. He strokes his goatee slowly.
Justin Maxwell: I've been a close friend of Logan for over fifteen years. I've been with him through all the good and the bad. I think this is the worst thing that has happened to him. I haven't spoken to him in months though. I don't know if anyone has during the last several months. He's been distant. Closed off. Some of us have gotten a chance to be in his presence, but he really wasn't 'there' if you get my meaning. I believe the damage that Ashlyn did to him physically is nothing compared to what she did to him mentally. I don't know how he's going to be able to cope with this. We all hope that he'll make it through… but no one knows if or how he'll do so.
The scene then shifts back to Amanda sitting in the studio.
Amanda Johnson: At this point, I have few confirmed details to report beyond that. Logan has been recuperating at his home in Toronto, but his exact condition is unknown. He has apparently remained isolated from everyone except his immediate family and closest friends, none of who have been willing to offer anything beyond the comments I've shared with you. Second- and third-hand accounts have indicated that Logan has had multiple surgeries performed on him in the last few weeks, but again we have no specific details about the extent of what has been done or why. Very little information has been released about this and our requests for updates have gone unacknowledged.
Amanda Johnson: Earlier today though, it was officially announced that terms have been reached between Logan Alexander's representatives and Frontier Grappling Arts regarding his release from his contract. Again, neither Logan nor his representatives have offered any comment in regards to the release. FGA management has merely wished Logan well in his future endeavours. I'd like to just add my well wishes as well. Logan Alexander has been one of the more dignified competitors here in FGA over the last two years carrying himself with the utmost professionalism, even under trying circumstances for himself. He had an impressive run as a tag team specialist and it appears that we will be left to wonder about what he might have been able to accomplish on his own. Perhaps, if he is ever able to do so, we will have a chance to see one day, but if not I'd just like to say thank you for all you brought to this company Logan. Your contributions will be missed.
Amanda Johnson: For FGA Online, I am Amanda Johnson, wishing you all a good day.
With the camera focused on Amanda and her small sad smile, the scene fades to black.
