Salem vs. Jaelynn Ramsey

"No Regrets" by the Sohodolls begins to play throughout the venue. A small cloud of smoke appears on stage, outlining the silhouette of a petite woman. The woman, revealed to be Jaelynn Ramsey walks through the cloud and onto the ramp.

Melanie Sierra: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is apart of the Beat The Clock Challenge! Introducing first, from Oakland, California! Weighing in at 130 pounds… JAELYNN RAMSEY!

She walks down the ramp completely ignoring the fans. She then walks up the steel steps, entering through the ring ropes. As the music fades out, she backs into a turnbuckle, doing a last second stretch before go-time.

Geoff Penzer: Jaelynn Ramsey got her biggest victory today since coming over to Flashpoint by defeating both Zola Star and Cassius Reed in a Triple Threat Match at A New Odyssey! Many, myself including, will note that it was Ramsey that stole that match from Zola Star. Will Ramsey be able to steal the time to beat out from underneath Lowri Moss in this Beat The Clock challenge? I know that Ramsey would love for nothing more than to put the screws to Moss just one more time.

"I'll get you my pretty... and your little dog too!"

The funky drum beat and riff of 'Phenomena' by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs fills the arena and the quirky yet energetic Salem appears at the entrance wearing a hooded dark purple cloak with silver trim, the hood pulled over her eyes. She carries a silver cane, the top a silver claw gripping a dark purple crystal that has a plasma globe effect. She's tapping her foot and bopping her head to the beat...

She raises both hands and motions for the fans to get hyped, swinging the cane, then bops her way toward the ring in time with the song, popping her shoulders up and down, swaying her arms around with a coy smile and wink to the audience.

She steps up the ring steps, throws her hood back, clutches the top rope and puts her feet on the bottom rope, gazing around and rocking up and down on the ropes...

She slides through the ropes, twirls off her cloak with a flourish and drops to a knee in the center of the ring, extending her arms out holding up the cane and playing to the crowd as the music fades. She takes the cloak and cane to the corner, ready for the match.

Melanie Sierra: Her opponent, from Laval, Quebec, Canada! She is “Something Like a Phenomena”... SALEM!

Geoff Penzer: The former United States Champion had some choice words for James Edwards. I can’t exactly fault Salem, and even Savannah Taylor, for feeling they way they do towards James Edwards with the way that he’s carried that US Title since winning it. Salem has vowed that this issues between the two of them aren't over. But right now, The Phenomena has got a huge opportunity at hand.

Ramsey tries to get the jump on Salem to start off the match. But Salem is able to catch her with a high-velocity spinning backfist! After throwing Ramsey down with an Ipponzeoi (one-armed shoulder throw), Salem follows up with a standing moonsault senton! The cheers continue as she turns over into a lateral press for the cover.

Ramsey kicks out.

Geoff Penzer: Ramsey tried to get an early advantage on Salem. But The Witch saw it coming a mile away and made her pay big time.

Salem takes Ramsey, moves her into the corner and delivers multiple knife edge chops. After sending Ramsey into the far corner with an irish whip, Salem charges across the ring, bashes her with a corner space rolling elbow and goes to follow up with a one-handed bulldog. But Ramsey is there to shove Salem off of her and into the ropes. When Salem returns, the crowd boos when Ramsey tackles her down with a Lou Thesz Press and follows up with punches to the face! After grabbing two handfuls of Salem’s hair, Ramsey pulls the former US Champ up off the mat, runs and tosses her across the ring! Ramsey heads over, pulls Salem up by the hair, runs and throws her across the ring with another toss! Once Salem picks herself up off the mat, Ramsey runs over and motions for a lariat… only for Salem to duck and dump her over the top rope and to the floor! As Ramsey picks herself up on the floor, Salem slingshots herself out onto the apron before knocking Ramsey down with a running Penalty Kick! She then steps back inside before playing up to the crowd.

Geoff Penzer: Salem just clocked Ramsey with that hard kick to the face! But she has to be aware of the clock! She doesn’t have time to play to the crowd in this one!

Salem turns and sees Ramsey trying to get back to her feet. So she turns and heads into the far ropes. When Salem comes back, the crowd explodes with cheers when she hurls herself over the top rope and knocks Ramsey down with a somersault plancha!

Geoff Penzer: The Witch just took flight without her broom before wiping out Ramsey on the outside!

Salem picks up Ramsey and rolls her back inside. After rolling herself back in, she makes the cover.

Ramsey gets her foot on the bottom rope.

Salem takes Ramsey, heads into the corner and slams her face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Ramsey around, Salem lights up her chest with knife edge chops. She then sends Ramsey into the far corner with an irish whip. The Witch then runs across the ring, connects with a second corner space rolling elbow and follows up with a one-handed bulldog! But Salem isn’t done. Instead of going for the cover, Salem steps out onto the apron and begins to climb the turnbuckles. Once Ramsey gets back to her feet and turns around, Salem leaps off for a diving overhead chop. But the crowd ends up booing after Ramsey nailing her with a punch to the midsection on the way down! Ramsey then grabs a hold of the doubled over Salem, runs and chucks her through the ropes and to the floor. While Salem starts to pick herself up on the floor, Ramsey turns and runs into the far ropes. When she returns, the crowd boos when she leaps through the ropes and knocks Salem down with the suicide dive!

Geoff Penzer: Ramsey leaps through the ropes before taking Salem down with a Jaegerbomb!

Ramsey quickly mounts herself on top of Salem before raining down rights and lefts to the face. She then gets off of Salem, rolls back into the ring and yells at the ref to keep counting.

Salem slowly turns over on all fours.

Geoff Penzer: Salem’s trying to get back to her feet! But the ref is nearly halfway to counting her out! She must pick up the pace!

The capacity crowd is solidly behind Salem as she starts to crawl back towards the ring.

Salem pulls herself up using the edge of the apron. After Salem pulls herself up using the ropes, Ramsey runs over and goes for a dropkick. But Salem grabs the top rope with both hands and leans back to avoid the kick. Once Ramsey gets back up, Salem doubles her over with a shoulder thrust. She then launches herself back in with a sunset flip. The capacity crowd is on their feet as Salem tries to pull Ramsey down. Ramsey can be seen swinging her arms wildly as she tries to regain her balance. Once she does, she drops down to her knees to pin Salem.

Ramsey reaches out and grabs the middle rope with both hands!

The ref stops his count as soon as he sees Ramsey hanging onto the ropes. He then gets to his feet and reprimands Ramsey. While Ramsey argues with the official, the ref kicks her arm off the ropes. This then allows Salem to finally pull Ramsey down into a pin! The ref quickly drops down to make the count.

Geoff Penzer: Salem nearly got her!

After both grapplers scramble back to their feet, the crowd boos after Ramsey rakes Salem across the eyes. She then grabs a hold of The Phenomena before tossing her back out onto the apron. Ramsey quickly steps out onto the apron, grabs a hold of Salem and then plants her with a DDT on the apron! After rolling Salem back inside, Ramsey rolls back in, drags Salem away from the ropes and then makes the cover.

Geoff Penzer: I’m surprised Salem isn’t out of it after that hard DDT on the apron.

Ramsey takes Salem, marches into the corner and slams her face-first into the top turnbuckle. She then slams Salem again face-first into the turnbuckle. After turning Salem around, Ramsey nails her with multiple throat thrusts. She then proceeds to stomp away at Salem, sending her slumping down in the corner. From there, Ramsey applies a foot choke. The crowd boos Ramsey while the ref gives her until the count of five to break the choke.

Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…

Ramsey gladly breaks the choke and walks away… only to rush back over and apply another foot choke!

Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR… FI-

Ramsey reluctantly breaks the choke. After a kick to the face, Ramsey reaches down, pulls up Salem and sends her into the far corner. Ramsey then charges full steam ahead across the ring before nearly knocking the air out of Salem with a lariat! She then takes Salem and sends her back over into the previous corner with another irish whip. Ramsey charges across the ring and motions for another lariat when Salem knocks her back with a back elbow to the face. After shaking off the blow, Ramsey runs back into the corner. This time, Salem nails her with a boot to the face. While Ramsey is dazed, Salem steps out onto the apron, scales to the top turnbuckle, leaps off and knocks Ramsey down with a missile dropkick! The cheers continue as she crawls over to make the cover.

Ramsey gets her shoulder up.

Salem takes Ramsey and whips her into the ropes. When Ramsey returns, Salem lifts her up across her shoulders for a Ushigoroshi. But before Salem can deliver the move, Ramsey counters with elbows to the side of the head. After slipping down from behind, Ramsey connects with a superkick to the back of the head, sending Salem staggering forward before collapsing across the middle rope. The boos continue as Ramsey turns and hits the ropes. When she comes back, she runs forward, swings through the middle & top ropes and nails Salem with a Tiger Feint Kick!

Geoff Penzer: Ramsey with an ode to her fellow New Murder henchman, Annie Zellor!

Ramsey heads over, picks up Salem and then brings her back down with a facebuster! After pushing Salem over onto her back, Ramsey heads over towards the corner. She then scales to the top turnbuckle. The capacity crowd is on their feet as Ramsey taunts then. She then flips off for Down By The Jae (moonsault), only for Salem to roll out of the way. The crowd explodes with cheers when Ramsey crashes onto the apron!

Geoff Penzer: Ramsey missed! Maybe she shouldn’t have talked so much trash while she was up top!

Salem slowly gets up onto a knee before getting back to a vertical base. She looks over her shoulder and sees Ramsey getting up on all fours, then up onto her knees. So The Witch pushes forward into the ropes. When she returns, the crowd cheers when she brings Ramsey down with a somersault cutter! She makes the cover.

Salem takes Ramsey and whips her into the ropes. When she returns, Salem throws her down with a spinebuster! She then delivers a double foot stomp before throwing out a flashing elbow. But Ramsey’s able to roll out of the way from the elbow drop. As Salem gets back to her feet, Ramsey grabs her by the wrist of the arm she used for the attempted elbow drop… and then knocks her down with a short-arm clothesline! She drops down and makes the cover.

Ramsey picks up Salem and whips her into the ropes before turning to run into the far ropes. When both grapplers comes back, the crowd erupts with boos when Ramsey turns her inside out with a crooked arm lariat! She drops down and makes the cover.

The crowd cheers when Salem gets her shoulder up.

Ramsey picks up Salem and nails her with a palm strike! She then rocks The Witch with another palm strike… and another… and ano-NO! Salem blocks and counters with a roundhouse kick that turns Ramsey away from her. Salem quickly takes advantage of the positioning and throws Ramsey down with an inverted Exploder Suplex! Salem takes Ramsey, delivers an irish whip, follows her across the ring and then connects with a corner high kick! She then tosses Ramsey out onto the apron. Salem reaches over, grabs Ramsey, pulls her across the top rope and then brings her down with a dragon screw neck whip! The cheers continue as Salem takes Ramsey and sends her into the far ropes. When she returns, Salem lifts her up across her shoulders before bringing her down with a Ushigoroshi! Salem then brings Ramsey back to her feet, hooks both arms and then brings her down with the Hijack Kevorkian (Berkocet)! She makes the cover.

Savannah Taylor vs. Ashley Sullivan

The opening guitar riff of "Warrior" by Skarlett Riot begins to play over the sound system seconds before the Hybrid Champion Ashley Sullivan walks out onto the stage. Pointing out to the fans all over the arena, Sullivan walks down to the ring. Once she gets down to ringside, and gets on the apron before climbing the turnbuckle from the outside. She nimbly climbs the turnbuckle from the outside to perch atop the top rope as she sits on her knees.

Melanie Sierra: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! It is your main event of the evening and it is apart of the Beat The Clock Challenge! Introducing first, from Bradley Beach, New Jersey… ASHLEY SULLIVAN!

With her name being announced, Ashley holds both of her arms up as she lays back on the turnbuckle post behind her. Flashing from cameras going off all around her, Sullivan rolls forwards to flip down into the ring and land on her feet.

Geoff Penzer: It is main event time here on Flashpoint! We are down to the last match of the Beat The Clock Challenge! Right now, it is Salem that is in the pole position with a time of 9:58. James Edwards’ initial time has been passed multiple times throughout the night. But I am sure that he is absolutely livid that right now it is Salem potentially heading into an International Heavyweight Championship match instead of him. But we are about to have two grapplers who are going to do their best to change that. One of them is Ashley Sullivan. The Triple A member is no stranger to gold. However, that was many years ago during her first stint here in FGA. Sullivan has had her shots at both the 15 Championship and the United States Championships. Can she come through in the clutch here tonight? Can she overcome any ill effects she might still be suffering from that Street Fight against Sloan Talbot? Will Ashley Sullivan be the one standing across the ring from Jimmy Page at Only The Strong Survive! She sure hopes so.

There was silence; the lights began to fade away slowly. A soft instrumental echoes out across the audience. It starts slowly, a beautiful sound that contrasts the heaviness of the world. Like feathers, it glides among the waiting audience. The lighting fixtures produce a gentle spotlight upon the stage, offset by the occasional flash here and there. As the song continues, a woman’s words begin to come through. Her voice is tender, not raising upon a whisper.

Deceived by my eyes and all I was told I should see
Opinions not mine, the person they taught me to be
One night in the dark, a vision of someone I knew
And in the darkness I saw, a voice say, I'm you.

On the stage, a feminine figure appears. Her head lowered to everything. People cannot make out who it is. As she stands there, the flashes briefly illuminate her figure. It only gives small clues on who stands at the gate. She stands in the spotlight, her shadow cast large and proudly among the stage.

Inside me a light was turned on…

The instrumental picks up again. An electric guitar now joins the progressively exciting instrumentals of before. The singer’s voice suddenly intensifies.

Then I was alive!

In the light, it is revealed that it was Savannah Taylor. She stands at the gate, a robe of obsidian and ivory hues. The hood of it shadows her eyes, but the intensity of the final EXODUS World Champion remains clear as day. She starts off down the ramp, with a serious aura radiating from her body.

Melanie Sierra: Her opponent, from Las Vegas, Nevada! Weighing in at 120 pounds! She is the “Las Vegas Siren”... SAVANNAH TAYLOR!

A naked truth revealed
Dreams you never lived,

Savannah makes her way up the ring steps. She looks out towards the audience for a moment before entering the ring. From there, she heads for a turnbuckle. She stands there, taking in everything. She then lifts her up on top of it. She peers out in nothing, then takes off the hood with a flashy flourish. Her blonde locks fly up in the air. They descend, shaping her face as they famously do.

In the darkness, light will take you to the other side
You'll find me waiting there you'll see, if you just close your eyes

While she stands in her corner, she closes her eyes and takes a heavy breath. When her bright eyes open, Taylor is completely composed. There is nothing more than the heat of battle awaiting her. She takes off her robe, giving it to a stagehand. She stretches her wrists before devoting her mind to the war upon the horizon.

Geoff Penzer: Savannah Taylor has been Pride Champion. She is currently the only grappler to hold the United States Championship two-times! At A New Odyssey, she defeated Chris Madison and put their rivalry to rest. Is the Las Vegas Siren ready to take that next step and challenge for the top championship here on Flashpoint?

The bell sounds as Taylor and Sullivan start things off with a lock up. After jockeying for position, Taylor gains the advantage with a side headlock. Sullivan is quick to shove Taylor off, sending her into the ropes. When Taylor returns, she goes to knock Sullivan down with a running shoulder block. But Sullivan braces herself and is able to stay on her feet. So Taylor turns and runs into another set of ropes. When she returns, she goes for another running shoulder block. But again, Sullivan is able to stay on her feet. The Las Vegas Siren then points to the ropes, daring Sullivan to knock her down. The Triple A member takes her up on the challenge and turns to run into the ropes. As soon as Sullivan hits the ropes, the crowd boos when Taylor connects with a clothesline that sends Sullivan over the top rope and to the floor!

Geoff Penzer: Taylor baited Sullivan right into that!

Taylor quickly steps out onto the apron. When Sullivan gets back to her feet, Taylor knocks her back with a back kick to the face. She then goes to follow up with an Asai Moonsault… but Sullivan’s able to dive back into the ring. The crowd cheers when Taylor crashes to the floor!

Geoff Penzer: Taylor went for the Asai Moonsault, but nobody was home! How much did that take out of her? There’s padding on the floor, but it will only help but so much!

While Taylor picks herself up on the outside, Sullivan gets up and heads into the far ropes. When she returns, she knocks Taylor into the guardrail with a baseball slide! Sullivan then slips out onto the apron before pulling herself up using the ropes. Sullivan then runs across the ring and then climbs up onto the top turnbuckle. The crowd explodes with cheers when Sullivan flips back and knocks Taylor down with a moonsault!

Geoff Penzer: Sullivan with a huge moonsault off the top onto Taylor! Is Sullivan moments away from victory?

Sullivan picks up Taylor and rolls her back inside. She then rolls back in and makes the cover.

Sullivan takes Taylor and whips her hard, sending her crashing sternum-first into the top turnbuckle. As Taylor stumbles back, Sullivan knocks her down with a spinning heel kick to the back of the head! While Taylor is down in the prone position, Sullivan heads into the corner and climbs up onto the middle ropes. Once Taylor gets back to her feet, the crowd cheers when Sullivan flips off and brings her down with a Blockbuster! She makes the cover.

Sullivan picks up Taylor and doubles her over with a knee to the midsection. She then brings Taylor back into the corner before climbing up onto the middle ropes. Sullivan sets up for a Tornado DDT. But Taylor’s able to break free and follows up with a yakuza kick, sending Sullivan flipping over the top rope and crashing to the floor! The boos continue as Taylor steps out onto the apron. Once Sullivan finally picks herself up on the outside, Taylor runs along the apron, dives off and tackles Sullivan down with a Lou Thesz Press! She then mounts herself on top of Sullivan before raining down right hands to the face. She then grabs a hold of Sullivan and whips her hard into the guardrail. The Las Vegas Siren then runs down ringside before hurling herself at Sullivan and connecting with a running hip strike! While Sullivan slumps down against the guardrail, Taylor rolls back inside. The ref continues to count Sullivan out.

Geoff Penzer: Sullivan’s got to hurry up! The ref is almost at eight!

Geoff Penzer: Sullivan makes it back in just by the skin of her teeth!

The cheers quickly turn to boos when Taylor marches over and puts the boots to Sullivan. She reaches down, pulls up Sullivan into a front facelock and then plants her with a DDT! She turns over into a lateral press for the cover.

Taylor takes Sullivan and whips her into the ropes. When Sullivan returns, Taylor knocks her down with a yakuza kick before following up with a standing moonsault! She hooks the leg.

Taylor takes Sullivan and whips her into the corner. The Las Vegas Siren rushes in to attack when Sullivan counters with a back elbow to the face. After hoisting herself up onto the middle ropes, Sullivan takes Taylor and plants her with a Tornado DDT! As Taylor tries to pick herself back up, Sullivan rushes over and brings her down with a swinging neckbreaker. She makes the cover.

Sullivan grab Taylor, pulls her back up and then brings her down with a reverse side russian leg sweep. She then heads into the corner before scaling the turnbuckles. After Sullivan reaches the top, the crowd explodes with cheers when she flips back and delivers a moonsault across the back of Taylor! Sullivan pulls Taylor over and makes the cover.

Geoff Penzer: Another nearfall for Sullivan! The clocking is ticking fast! Time is running out for both Sullivan and Taylor!

Sullivan takes Taylor and goes for an irish whip. Taylor quickly reverses, sending Sullivan into the ropes. When Sullivan returns, she slides through Taylor’s legs. When Taylor turns around, she throws out a roundhouse kick, which Sullivan ducks. Taylor then throws out the Ultimecia (spinning backfist). But Sullivan’s able to counter with a leg sweep. She then heads into the ropes. When Sullivan comes back, she brings Taylor down with a Codebreaker! While Taylor is sprawled out on the mat, Sullivan hits the ropes again. When she returns, she delivers the Wind Whisper (Rolling Senton)! Sullivan then sets up in the corner. Once Taylor turns over on her knee, Sullivan charges over and flattens her with a Shining Wizard! The cheers continue as she makes the cover.

Geoff Penzer: Sullivan nearly had her there.

Sullivan picks up Taylor and sends her into the corner with an irish whip. Sullivan then runs across the ring and throws out the Wind Kick (running big boot in the corner). But Taylor is able to slip out of the way. After blasting Sullivan across the back of the head with an Ultimecia, Taylor lifts her up onto the middle ropes before stepping out onto the apron. After climbing up onto the top turnbuckle, the crowd erupts with boos when Taylor brings Sullivan down with Welcome to Sin City (avalanche shiranui)! She makes the cover.

Geoff Penzer: That might be all she wrote, fans!

Geoff Penzer: There’s still fight left in Sullivan! Taylor’s got to do more to put her away. But we’ve now got a little under less than a minute left!

Taylor pulls up Sullivan, grabs her from the side and drives her down with Blonde Ambition (forward russian leg sweep)! Taylor then steps up in the corner. Once Sullivan pushes herself up on all fours, the Las Vegas Siren comes out of the corner, jumps up and drives Sullivan down with a Curb Stomp! After dragging Sullivan into position, Taylor steps out onto the apron, scales to the top turnbuckle, jumps off and crashes down across her back with a Frog Splash! She then pulls Sullivan over onto her back before stepping back out onto the apron. The boos continue as Taylor climbs to the top turnbuckle. The Las Vegas Siren goes for another Frog Splash. This time, Sullivan gets her knees up!

Geoff Penzer: OH NO! Taylor might be hurt! She’s hurting! She’s hurting! Time is running down! Can Sullivan take advantage and put this one away!?

The crowd explodes with cheers when Taylor comes crashing down across Sullivan’s knees. While Taylor turns over onto her back, Sullivan rolls out onto the apron. She then pulls herself up using the ropes before climbing the turnbuckles. Once Sullivan reaches the top, the crowd gasps when she flips off for the Sunset (Swanton Bomb)! The crowd erupts with boos when Taylor returns the favor by getting her knees up.

Geoff Penzer: Taylor returns the favor! The Las Vegas Siren got her knees up just in time! Taylor is down! Sullivan is down! Can Sullivan recover in time!? Can Taylor make the pin!? Will time run out on them both!?

Taylor pulls herself up using the ropes before exiting out onto the apron. She then climbs to the top turnbuckle while Sullivan gets up on all fours. When Sullivan gets back to her feet and turns around, the Las Vegas Siren flips off and brings her down with Dancing Mad (diving somersault huracanrana)! The ref makes the count…

The crowd erupts with boos as “Just Close Your Eyes” blares throughout the arena.
