Recorded Earlier
James Edwards breaks through the curtains and steps into the Gorilla position. Sweat pours down his forehead. He wipes it away, annoyed that some got in his eyes. He quickly spots the camera crew and comes marching over.
James Edwards: I'm sure y'all want to know what happened out there?
He slicks his hair back and then momentarily scowls at the ground before looking into the camera with an edge to his eyes that suggests a storm of fury is swirling in his mind.
James Edwards: It wasn't planned. It was a damn accident, and those happen all the time in this sport. I'm pissed we lost, mainly because I'm the one that cost us a win by kickin' the wrong guy. Hell, I'm even more pissed because beating those two would've done Salem and me a lot of good. It would've given us more momentum going into the pay-per-view; it would've made our fight mean more, but the loss knocks her and my value down when it comes to getting a shot at the big belt, and that what pisses me off the most.
Edwards looks over his shoulder and nods to someone off camera. A towel comes flying his way, and he eagerly grabs it, quickly drying off the remaining sweat from his hair and face. He takes a moment to stare off into the distance and frowns at whatever he sees, more than likely a mental image of his lapse in the ring.
James Edwards: I told her to trust me for that reason because I knew the difference between a win and a loss tonight. I thought for a hot second she actually might understand. Of course, that was a dumbass's logic. She didn't give a damn and said as much on her little social media post. She's got the fight she wants so why should she have to give effort or try to get along with a guy she hates? She still has her belt, so she doesn't care if she losses a fight where it ain't on the line. That ain't me. This fight with her and all the others to come ain't about some short-sighted shit like settling a grudge or the U.S. title. This is another step in the long game of me getting another shot at the belt I want, the one I need, and if Salem doesn't wrap her head around that soon, tonight's the first loss in what'll become a streak, I guarantee it.
He puts the towel over his head, leaving just enough to space to see, and walks off, likely in search of a shower.

The AfterBurn production cuts to a different part of the Vivant Smart Home Arena. A camera crew caught up with Frankie Morrison and Chris Madison as they navigated through the arena's corridors, heading towards Madison's locker room. Madison has his arm wrapped tightly around the back of his manage, hopping on one foot as he keeps the other held out in front of him six inches off of the ground. Morrison sturdily helps Madison along with each painful jump forward. The camera crew, led by Amanda Johnson splits in half as they circle around Madison and Morrison, cutting them off from moving forward any further.
Amanda Johnson: Excuse me... Chris, Frankie... I would just like to get a quick word with you.
Madison bites him lower lip while nodding to his manager, signaling that it was alright to stop for a moment.
Frankie Morrison: Please just make it quick... As you can see, I have to get the medical personnel to take a look at Chris.
Amanda nods her head and turns her sights directly onto Madison.
Amanda Johnson: Tough loss tonight. Savannah Taylor, The Chaotics, they picked up a big win over you, Lowri Moss, and Neal Durden. Can't be easy to give up that kind of momentum going into A New Odyssey.
Chris bows his head for a moment, turning it slightly towards his right shoulder.
Chris Madison: It's not. It's never easy. And if I'm bein' completely honest, I can't help but feel a little bit guilty that I backed Lowri and Neal into the same corner. I know they'd reassure me that this was a team loss if they were standin' right here next to me, but the fact of the matter is that tonight, Savannah scored a pinfall over me. I lost this match tonight. Now because of that, they're starin' down a tag team championship match against The Chaotics at A New Odyssey and they have to overcome the fact that on Flashpoint, we weren't able to work good enough as a team to get the job done. The only savin' grace is that they won't have me weighin' them down.
Amanda Johnson: Aren't you being a little hard on yourself?
Chris Madison: Maybe I am... Or maybe I'm just speakin' the truth...
Amanda Johnson seems a bit taken back by the sudden sap in confidence from Chris Madison.
Amanda Johnson: I have to say, I can't remember a time that I've seen you lacking confidence like this. Usually you face all opposition with a killer instinct and a strong belief that nobody is better than you. Neal and Lowri are not the only ones with a big match on the horizon. You and Savannah one on one...
Chris looks down at his knee again.
Chris Madison: March sixth... guess I have a little under three weeks to make sure that this knee doesn't fail on me again.
Chris turns towards Frankie and nods his head again.
Franke Morrison: Now Amanda, if you'll excuse us...
Frankie continues to help carry his client, moving passed the production crew as the AfterBurn feed cuts away.
