Favorite Match(es): Probably the main event, but shout out to the tag match for a close second. Favorite Segment(s): So...should I just say the closing segment? I did like the returns/debuts of people like Jae, Chris M, Sadie, Pendragon. Most Memorable Moment(s):
The SMWB are on Flashpoint now?! Jimmy Page too?! Poor Melanie. Wrestler(s) Of The Show: Chris Madison, Kendall Kingham. What Do You Think Happens Next:
Hmm, lemme see: AAA vs. SMWB try to establish themselves as title contenders while Pendragon face off with the Chaotics. Salem and James Edwards argue about who's going to become the next number one contender to the International Heavyweight title. Savannah and Madison feud for a US title shot. Page vs Chandler probably goes through to the Gold Rush Rumble. Kendall has her hands full with the newcomers, Jae, Sadie and...someone else? Cassius? Sloan vs Ashley Sullivan? And we get a new ring announcer. Closing Thoughts:What happened to Flashpoint starting with a match? Honestly, I get there were a lot of debuts to come after the draft, but maybe take a take from the 'Wrestler A is talking, Wrestler B enters' segments...he says having done one for Vertigo. With the segment to match ratio on a show like this is just got...predictable? But it's the start of a new cycle after a big shake up, so I won't hold it against anyone. Got a lot of storylines in motion, so nicely done.

You know...I just love a good tag match more than a good singles match just because by default more elements.

Can I just cheat and say the entire Chandler-Page story? Kind of engrossed into that right now because they can go damn near anywhere.
Most Memorable Moment(s):
RIP Melanie Sierra.
Wrestler(s) Of The Show:
From a wrestling standpoint Kendall Kingham, from creating an aura about an angle standpoint Chandler Scott.
What Do You Think Happens Next:
Chandler and Jimmy can and will go anywhere and everywhere. But it kind of does feel like we have a layered hierarchy that's sorting itself out for what'll happen next. Pendragon and The Chaotics could last a while as well. It also feels like Edwards could be turning heel but maybe I'm reading too much into that.

Favorite Match(es): Ashley & Antoinette vs SMWB. Surprise opponents are always fun. The main event was also a good read. Favorite Segment(s): Sadie, Kendall, Madison and Savannah was getting spicy. Can’t forget Chandler Scott and Jimmy Page  Most Memorable Moment(s):Salem and James Edwards going back and forth, and poor Melanie Sierra. Wrestler(s) Of The Show: Kendall Kingham, Chris Madison What Do You Think Happens Next:I definitely see some good times in the tag division. I’m stoked to see more of Chandler vs Page. Will Sadie stomp Jae’s face in like a plastic doll head? Newcomers shall also be interesting to see in the upcoming weeks. Closing Thoughts:I get where Benny’s coming from in reference to the segment and match ratio. From a producer’s point of view, this is probably on the higher end with seg count and air time - but at the same time, it’s the first Flashpoint since the draft. People will want to be seen and heard. A show starting off with a seg is cool as long as it ties into what will happen later on in the night. It’s gotta leave the viewer wondering what’s next?! This is also a chance for the company to recap things, make announcements, etc.

What Do You Think Happens Next:I definitely see some good times in the tag division. I’m stoked to see more of Chandler vs Page. Will Sadie stomp Jae’s face in like a plastic doll head? Newcomers shall also be interesting to see in the upcoming weeks. You’ve all got that chance to impress on this weekend’s show. Plus with double the amount of matches it should flow better too. |
