The scene goes into a dark room out the back. At first it seems as though this is a technical glitch as it is difficult to distinguish any shapes within the darkness. It remains still, yet as the camera adjusts to the limited light, the outline of a man appears. His breathing is slow, and heavy, as though he doesn't wish to be noticed. After a brief moment, we hear a faint whisper.
Man: Everything has changed.
His voice remains silent once again, before the screen goes static.

As the scene backstage shifts from one section to the next, the camera focuses in on one of the many Only The Strong Survive posters scattered throughout the backstage area. Standing in front of the poster is Flashpoint’s favorite interviewer Amanda Johnson. She stands there with a microphone in her hands and a smile on her face.
Amanda Johnson: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time, the first ever FGA United States champion Savannah Taylor.
She offers a somewhat hesitant smile as the figure of Savannah Taylor walks into the frame. Her black and white robe covers her ring attire, and over her right shoulder she carries her now favorite pink and black baseball bat. She stands a few inches away from Amanda and waits for the questions to begin.
Amanda Johnson: Savannah, you are just minutes away from your oft-anticipated rematch for the United States championship. That must feel like a huge weight off of your shoulders to finally be getting the match that you want.
Savannah Taylor: About bloody time too. Finally, after weeks of ducking me and being borderline silent on this all too important issue, it would appear that our….ILLUSTRIOUS new champion has made probably the first good decision that she has ever made in her entire life. The fact that I had to wait for as long as I did for a mere ANSWER from Noelle should give you all the insight that you need into her character. Noelle Smith is not the fighting champion that she so proudly proclaimed the Flashpoint after she stole from me. Noelle Smith is not the proud woman that she paints herself to be on social media. Do you want to know what Noelle Smith REALLY is, Amanda?
Amanda Johnson: What is that?
Savannah Taylor: Noelle Smith is a damn coward. If Noelle had ANY backbone and if she had ANY shred of decency, then I would have been the very FIRST person that she offered to fight for the United States championship. I should have been the very first name that came out of Noelle’s mouth in regards to challengers. But I wasn't. Instead, for reasons known only to the Lord himself, Noelle took her sweet time in making her choice. The longer that she took in making the only CORRECT choice….the more upset I got. What Noelle Smith did in taking her sweet time and making me wait was the ultimate form of disrespect. That show of hypocrisy and disrespect forced my hand in introducing the world to my little friend here.
She motions to the bat over her shoulder.
Savannah Taylor: In just a moment, I’m going to show Noelle Smith the same level of respect that she has shown me. Tonight is all about making a statement. Tonight I take back what was stolen from me. Tonight the FGA United States championship comes home. Then later on in the Gold Rush Rumble, I’ll introduce my friend to twenty-nine other poor, unfortunate souls. You can take that soundbite straight to Big Dave himself.
Amanda Johnson: After all of your taunting and threats, aren’t you the least bit worried about Noelle looking to seek some form of revenge?
Savannah straightens up her posture as her eyes narrow slightly. She then leans forwards just slightly.
Savannah Taylor: Ich verstehe kein Wort, das du sagst.
With that, the Las Vegas native flips her hood over her head and heads towards the gorilla position, the scene transitioning to ringside.

UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP (c) Noelle Smith vs. Savannah Taylor Melanie Sierra: The following contest is scheduled for one fall… and it is for the FGA United States CHAAAAAMPIONSHIIIIP! There is silence; the lights began to fade away slowly. A soft instrumental echoes out across the audience. It starts slowly, a beautiful sound that contrasts the heaviness of the world. Like feathers, it glides among the waiting audience. The lighting fixtures produce a gentle spotlight upon the stage, offset by the occasional flash here and there. As the song continues, a woman’s words begin to come through. Her voice is tender, not raising upon a whisper. Deceived by my eyes and all I was told I should see Opinions not mine, the person they taught me to be One night in the dark, a vision of someone I knew And in the darkness I saw, a voice say, I'm you. On the stage, a feminine figure appears. Her head lowered to everything. People cannot make out who it is. As she stands there, the flashes briefly illuminate her figure. It only gives small clues on who stands at the gate. She stands in the spotlight, her shadow cast large and proudly among the stage. Inside me a light was turned on… The instrumental picks up again. An electric guitar now joins the progressively exciting instrumentals of before. The singer’s voice suddenly intensifies. Geoff Penzer: The former champion has been hellbent on knocking off Noelle Smith. We’ve seen the cunning side of Savannah Taylor, but ever since the United States Title came into the picture, she’s been absolutely relentless. Ruthless. Then I was alive! In the light, it is revealed that it was Savannah Taylor. She stands at the gate, a robe of obsidian and ivory hues. The hood of it shadows her eyes, but the intensity of the former United States Champion remains clear as day. She starts off down the ramp, with a serious aura radiating from her body. If you close your eyes your life, A naked truth revealed Dreams you never lived, And scars never healed Savannah makes her way up the ring steps. She looks out towards the audience for a moment before entering the ring. From there, she heads for a turnbuckle. She stands there, taking in everything. She then lifts her up on top of it. She peers out in nothing, then takes off the hood with a flashy flourish. Her blonde locks fly up in the air. They descend, shaping her face as they famously do. In the darkness, light will take you to the other side You'll find me waiting there you'll see, if you just close your eyes While she stands in her corner, she closes her eyes and takes a heavy breath. When her bright eyes open, Taylor is completely composed. There is nothing more than the heat of battle awaiting her. She takes off her robe, giving it to a stagehand. She stretches her wrists before devoting her mind to the war upon the horizon. Geoff Penzer: And here comes the United States Champion! “Lose My Breath” by Destiny's Child starts to play over the PA, and the lights dim as Noelle steps from behind the curtain, a wide smile on her face as she waves to the fans before doing a few provocative dance moves as the lyrics cue up. The lights come up and dazzle off of the plate of her United States Championship belt. Can you keep up? Baby boy, make me lose my breath Bring the noise, make me lose my breath Hit me hard, make me lose my (hah hah) Can you keep up? Baby boy, make me lose my breath Bring the noise, make me lose my breath Hit me hard, make me lose my breath (hah hah)She does an athletic somersault forward to take her half down the ramp and then rushes the ring, using her hands to push her up onto the apron as she slides under the bottom rope and pops up, giggling and blowing kisses to the fans, winking at the referee and waving to the ring announcers cheerily. She respectfully unhooks her title and hands it over to the referee with care. Melanie Sierra: Introducing first, the challenger, hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada, she is the “Las Vegas Siren”, SAVANNNAAAHHH TAAAAYYYLOR! ”BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Geoff Penzer: Heh. An absolutely deafening reaction for the Las Vegas Siren. Savannah rolls her eyes at the onslaught of boos from the audience, saying something that can’t be picked up by the ringside mics. Melanie Sierra: And her opponent, hailing from New York City… The Orlando audience grows loud in anticipation, their reaction swinging in a more positive direction as the spotlight pans to Noelle Smith, who makes her way to the center of the ring. Melanie Sierra: ...she is the reigning FGA United States Champion… NOOELLLLLE SMIIIIIIIIIITH! Geoff Penzer: This Orlando crowd is one hundred percent behind Smith from the sounds of it. She’s spent a lot of her life and a lot of her development as a competitor right here in Orlando. Her family’s got a lot of history here and the energy in the Amway Center is absolutely electric, but I don’t think Savannah Taylor cares about any of that. If looks could kill… The referee display the United States Title high above his head, toward every direction to show what the Grapplers were fighting for. As the lights return to normal, we pan over to the scowl on Savannah Taylor’s face. She glares a hole through Noelle, unmoving while Noelle Smith bounces a bit a few feet away, a confident, but focused look on her face as the referee obligatorily runs through the rules-- before signaling for the bell! Geoff Penzer: And no time’s being wasted! Savannah and Noelle rush toward each other to the delight of the Orlando crowd, throwing hard right hands into the head of the other. Some shots are blocked and some connect, but after a few moments, it’s Savannah Taylor that’s taken to a knee! Noelle immediately blasts her with a toe kick under the jaw before shooting the ropes and rebounding-- but Savannah rushes her and immediately takes her down with a Thesz Press! She goes to unload with more right hands, but Noelle blocks the first punch, performing a modified Monkey Flip to Taylor, sending her head-over-heels, straight onto her rear in a seated position while Noelle rolls over her shoulder and up to her feet beside Savannah, blasting her with a Savate Kick to the side of the head! Geoff Penzer: What a shot! What an explosive opening! Cover by Smith, looking to retain early! One! TWO! And-- no! No, a kickout by Taylor, who refuses to be put away that easily. But her head has to be rocked right now. Taylor uses the ropes to pull herself up and Noelle quickly stays on top of her, hitting her with a few forearm strikes before pulling her away from the ropes, looking to lock her in the Muay Thai Clinch-- but Taylor grabs her arm and turns her back to Noelle’s before hooking her second arm for a Backslide. She drops down for the Backslide Pin, but Noelle rolls through and to her feet before the referee can count! Geoff Penzer: Smith rolls through! Veteran instincts kept her out of the challenger’s first pin attempt of the night there. Noelle backs into the ropes and charges forward-- but Savannah explodes off the mat and rushes Noelle, nailing a Yakuza Kick that sends her corkscrewing to the mat! Geoff Penzer: WHOA! The crowd gasps as Noelle hits the mat with a sickening thud and Savannah rolls her up in a half-cradle! ONE . . . . TWO . . . . THR--! Geoff Penzer: Three?! No! Savannah just came out of NOWHERE with that kick and nearly took Noelle’s head off! Nearly recaptured her United States Championship a minute and a half into this match! The champion’s in trouble, right from the jump! Savannah Taylor smirks a little, stalking Noelle as the champion staggers to her feet. Noelle turns around into another hard right hand, this one sending her back into the corner. Savannah waves off the booing crowd before charging the corner and nailing a second Yakuza Kick! Unable to prepare for it, Noelle slumps down, falling into a seat in the corner. Savannah backs to the far corner and narrows her eyes at Smith before charging across the ring, slamming her head against the turnbuckle with a Running Hip Attack! Noelle immediately clutches her head and Savannah yanks her out of the corner, dropping down for a lateral press for a cover! ONE . . . . TWO . . . Kickout!Savannah tries hooking both legs this time, covering Smith again. ONE . . . . Kickout!Savannah climbs to her feet, forcing Noelle up in a front facelock-- but Noelle shoves her back into the ropes! Immediately, Savannah rebounds, hitting a running knee to the side of Noelle’s head, sending her staggering to the center of the ring. Savannah goes to follow up with a Spinning Backfist to a gasp from the crowd! Geoff Penzer: Ultimecia! ...but Noelle ducks at the last second! Savannah spins around, losing her footing just long enough for Noelle to bring her to the mat with a rough Snapmare! Noelle uses the challenger’s shoulder as a step to hop over Savannah and rush the ropes, rebounding with a Front Dropkick, catching Taylor between the eyes! Groaning, Savannah rolls away while Noelle catches her breath, rising to her feet. Savannah turns around into a hard knee to the gut-- before Noelle once again goes to lock her in the Muay Thai Clinch. The audience roars, but Savannah wildly fights backwards, snaking her left leg outside of the ring, causing the referee to step in, giving Noelle a five-count to break the hold. “BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Noelle back away, but not without shoving Savannah’s head back. Taylor smirks at the champion, muttering something as she slowly steps into the ring. Without hesitation, Noelle lunges at her, tackling Savannah through the ropes and out to the apron! The audience roars in delight and Noelle deivers shots wherever she can as Savannah tries to cover up and crawl away along the apron. Both Grapplers rise to their feet and Noelle throws out a roundhouse kick… but Taylor ducks, sweeping Noelle’s free leg, sending Noelle spine-first against the apron! Noelle cries out in agony, clutching her back, and Taylor delivers a running, jumping stomp to her ribcage for good measure! Geoff Penzer: One mistimed kick and Savannah Taylor is back in the driver’s seat! But she knows she can’t win any championship gold out there. Savannah, both ignoring the referee’s warnings and the ”YOU SUCK!” that comes from the crowd, pulls Noelle to her knees by her hair. Noelle throws a series of punches into her gut, but Savannah rips her to her feet and hoists her up for the Brainbuster-- but Noelle squirms free and shifts her weight to land inside the ring. Savannah swings wildly, but Noelle grabs her by the head and hangs her up over the top rope with a neck snap! Geoff Penzer: Savannah’s been in a precarious position for some time here. We-- oh! As Savannah climbs back to her feet on the apron, Noelle runs to the ropes and hits a Springboard Triangle Dropkick! Savannah staggers all the way back into the far ring post and Noelle scrambles after her, dragging her into the ring by the hair but seamlessly pulling her into an Inside Cradle! Geoff Penzer: Just like that, cover by the champion! ONE . . . . TWO . . . . Kickout!Savannah pops out of it with a gasp and both women scramble to their feet, but Noelle reacts first, hitting a Step-Up Enzuigiri! Savanna falls against the ropes and Noelle rolls to her feet, pulling Savannah by the head, looking for the Muay Thai Clinch to a roar from Orlando-- but again, the referee steps between the two as Savanna grabs the top rope with her right hand. The audience begins growing restless, and Noelle begrudgingly steps back Before Noelle can make another move, Savannah blasts her with a roundhouse kick that catches her across the collarbone! Stunned, Noelle staggers back, and Savannah hits a second one to the head, sending Noelle to the canvas. Savannah slides on a knee across the ring for a cover, but instinctively, Noelle rolls onto her back! Geoff Penzer: WHAT a pair of kicks by Savannah Taylor! How the hell does the champion even have the wherewithal to avoid the pin?! Savannah shrieks in frustration and pushes herself up, stomping viciously at Noelle’s spine! Noelle crawls toward the ropes, face twisted in pain until she finally throws an arm over the bottom, prompting the referee to warn Savannah back. Ref: One! Two! Three! Savannah rises to her feet with her grip on Noelle’s ankles and pulls her off of the rope in a Wheelbarrow… before lifting her up and driving her down with a sitout Wheelbarrow Facebuster! Maintaining a grip on one of Smith’s legs, Savannah pushes herself to her feet, looking to apply the Stretch Muffler! Geoff Penzer: I don’t know where that Facebuster came from, but now Savannah’s looking to capitalize with the Heartless Angel! We’ve seen the damage this move can do over the months. Noelle’s body has to be in pain, but she’s fighting it with everything she’s got! Noelle throws hard forearms into the skull of Savannah Taylor, preventing her from locking in the Stretch Muffler. Finally, a hard shot to the nose waters Savannah’s eyes, sending her staggering back into the corner. Noelle crawls for the ropes, groaning in pain as she creates distance. Geoff Penzer: Noelle just escaped disaster, and she caught Noelle with a stiff shot right in the nose. That buys her a few seconds and she needs to swing momentum back in her favor. Noelle holds her back as she reaches her feet in the opposite corner. Turning to Savannah with a glare, Noelle charges forward at full-force, but again she’s stopped with a roundhouse kick, this one sending a sickening CRACK! throughout the arena as it connects with Noelle’s head. Noelle is dazed, noodle-legged upon impact. She sways away from Savannah, who leaps into the air and nails a Dropkick square between the shoulder-blades! Noelle lurches forward, slamming violently into the canvas. Geoff Penzer: Good God! Noelle’s legs just collapsed from under her! The referee immediately drops down to check on Noelle, who shakes as she pushes herself to her hands and knees. Savannah leans against the ropes on the far side of the ring… before rushing forward and leaping up for a Curbstomp, this time targeting the upper-back of Smith! Noelle cries out and smashes back into the canvas. Savannah shoots the ropes again and rebounds, this time with a jumping knee drop, smashing it into Noelle’s back! Noelle cries out in pure agony and Savannah pushes herself up to her knees and begins to hammer away with fists, wildly swinging into the upper-back and base of the neck of Noelle! Geoff Penzer: Savannah Taylor is out to break the spine of the United States Champion! The referee’s role is going to become a lot more crucial the longer this goes on. Finally, the referee backs Savannah off, threatening to disqualify her. Savannah looks beside herself, pacing in the background as the referee checks with Noelle, who pushes herself up to a seated position in the corner, taking deep breaths. The moment that she nods, stating she’s able to continue, Savannah charges across the ring and delivers a thunderous Hip Attack! Noelle’s head is rocked for the second time of the match, and for the second time, Savannah yanks her out of the corner, this time hooking both legs immediately! ONE . . . . TWO . . . . THRE-! The audience roars as Noelle shoots a shoulder off the mat. Savannah looks dejected, using the ropes to pull herself up, pushing hair out of her face. She curses under her breath and turns, looking at the United States Champion, who pushes herself up to her knees. Geoff Penzer: Taylor’s had a hard time keeping Noelle down for long. She has the champion in a bad place. Noelle’s back and ribs have been targeted nonstop. Savannah’s driven her head into that bottom turnbuckle twice now. She’s trying to break Noelle down, but the champion is beyond resilient. Chants of “YOU SUCK!” echo throughout the Amway Center as Savannah Taylor turns, looking out into the masses. She shakes her head slightly, motioning with her hands that the belt is returning to her waist. She rolls her eyes away from the crowd and down toward Noelle, who finally reaches her feet-- but Taylor hits her with a thrust kick to the gut. Gasping, Noelle falls down to a knee and Savannah hooks her for the Corkscrew Neckbreaker, but Noelle counters, this time hitting the Backslide Pin! Geoff Pener: Caught her that time! ONE . . . . TWO . . . . THR… Geoff Penzer: Look at this! Savannah rolls all the way through, up to her feet to break the hold with Noelle just a second behind. Savannah hits a spin kick to the chest, stunning Noelle. She pulls Noelle forward for a front facelock, but Noelle breaks free and quickly locks Taylor in the Muay Thai Clinch to a roar from Orlando! Geoff Penzer: The last place the challenger wants to be is there! Before Taylor can react, Noelle unleashes a series of knee strikes into her ribcage! Taylor kicks her legs wildly, trying to escape, but Noelle has the clinch locked in perfectly! Knee after knee finds its mark and Taylor tries to back into the ropes-- but Noelle shifts their positions! Taylor then tries to drop to a knee. Geoff Penzer: Not the route to take! Noelle switches her grip into a modified facelock and brings a heavy knee up into Taylor’s jaw! Savannah reels, but Noelle nails a second, and then a third! She cries out and slams Savannah face-first into the mat! Taylor clutches her face, a muffled scream coming out from behind her hands. The ref drops down as he anticipates Noelle making a cover-- but Noelle mounts Taylor and begins unloading with right and left hands! Geoff Penzer: And these two might’ve just thrown wrestling out the window! This is a fight! Taylor continues to cover up and the referee warns Noelle about the fists. Noelle pushes herself to her feet, simply stomping at the arms of Taylor until she uncovers her face, revealing a mouth and nose covered in blood. Noelle mounts Taylor again, only for Taylor to shift the weight and begin unloading on Noelle with hard right hands! The shots connect flush, only broken up as Noelle hits a clean elbow strike under the eye! Taylor rolls away, clutching her face again as Noelle, mouth now bloodied, uses the corner to pull herself up. Geoff Penzer: I don’t know if Noelle meant to hit an elbow there, but she got every single bit of it. Savannah Taylor looks absolutely dazed. Noelle catches her breath, watching Savannah pull herself to her feet. As Savanah turns around, Noelle stride forward and hooks her for a Suplex-- but out of nowhere, Savannah counters, hitting Noelle with a Brainbuster! The audience erupts into a mixed reaction and Savannah rolls on top of Noelle, hooking the near leg! ONE . . . . TWO . . . . THRE-! Geoff Penzer: New cha-- NO! Savannah kicks out! Savannah just barely kicks out and… oh, get a shot of that. She’s in a bad way! Savannah Taylor’s face looks to be a crimson mask as the referee puts on gloves, asking is she can continue. Savannah ignores the referee, pulling Noelle up to her feet-- only to hoist her up and nail a second Brainbuster! Noelle clutches her head and Savannah pushes her over, picking up her leg… and locks in the Stretch Muffler! Geoff Penzer: Heartless Angel! Noelle cries out in agony body contorted in the maneuver. She tries to kick herself free with her right leg, but Savannah angles herself just out of harm’s way. She steps back and delivers a hard stomp to the upper-back of Noelle, and then down across the head, earning groans from the crowd. Geoff Penzer: A fitting name for this hold-- for this woman! It’s moves like this that make Savannah Taylor so dangerous. She’s out of control in there! But Noelle isn’t quitting! Savannah stomps down across Noelle’s upper-back once more, screaming ”TAP!”, but Noelle crawls forward as the audience screams, rallying behind her. They stomp and clap, reaching a deafening peak… ...and Noelle reaches forward, grabbing the bottom rope! Savannah collapses in exhaustion beneath her, shoving Noelle’s leg away. Geoff Penzer: She made it! Savannah tilts her head back and cries out in rage before pushing herself up. She takes a few deep breaths, steadying herself before rushing the ropes and leaping up, going for an Asai Moonsault on the champion— but Noelle gets a knee up! Savannah howls in pain, clutching her stomach! Geoff Penzer: Savannah with a swing and a miss! Savannah hunches over, hands on the ropes, heaving in pain before she stands upright and wipes blood out of her face, glaring back at Noelle who slowly reaches her feet in the middle of the ring. The audience grows loud again as the two stare at one another, each taking a step forward… Geoff Penzer: Here it goes! The two run forward and swing hard into one another. Body shots connect before the two begin to fire shots into one another’s skulls! The audience reaches a fever pitch as the onslaught continues! Noelle rocks Savannah with a left that finally sends the challenger stumbling back. Noelle pulls her forward into the Muay Thai clinch and unloads with knee after knee! Savannah is thrown into the air from one of the strikes and Noelle allows her to fall to the mat. She nods out to the raucous audience and pulls her opponent upright by the hair, only to nail an uppercut elbow! Blood and spit flies from Taylor’s mouth as she collapses to the mat. Noelle stumbles into the corner and nods out to the audience once more before she signals for the end and steps out to the apron. Geoff Penzer: Noelle senses the end is near! I’m not sure if I entirely agree with this. She’s going high-risk, but she’s taken a lot of damage to her back. Her ribs. Her core. “LET’S GO NOE!”
”LET’S GO NOE!”
”LET’S GO NOE!” Taking it upon themselves to create a chant to rally behind the champion, the crowd rise to their feet in anticipation as Noelle ascends to the top turnbuckle. Geoff Penzer: Noelle’s looking for the Beauty Mark. Savannah, you may wanna stay down! Savannah groggily reaches her feet as Noelle leaps from the top, performing a somersault and going to complete the shoulder jawbreaker-- but Taylor catches her and sweeps her leg to nail a Forward Russian Leg Sweep! Noelle’s head thuds off the mat and Savannah pushes her over onto her back! Geoff Penzer: COUNTER INTO BLONDE AMBITION! NOELLE WENT FOR THE BEAUTY MARK, BUT SAVANNAH WITH A SICKENING BLONDE AMBITION! Savannah yells for the ref to count as she presses her back across Noelle’s chest, hooking both legs! Many in the audience count along. ONE . . . . TWO . . . . THHRRE-! Noelle throws her shoulder off of the canvas and the last possible second! Orlando erupts and Savannah throws a hand over her mouth, looking up at the referee with wide eyes that go from shock… to heartbreak… to rage. She shakes her head and rises to her feet, grabbing the referee by the front of his shirt, but he smacks her hand away, offering a single warning! Savannah looks down at the bloodied handprint she left on the referee’s shirt before taking a deep breath and turning around, glaring at the rising United States Champion. Savannah delivers a hard roundhouse kick to Noelle’s temple that sends her staggering back into the ropes-- and then a second, sending another CRACK! throughout the arena! Noelle reels, eyes glassy. Geoff Penzer: How is she still standing?! How--? Savannah Taylor swings for a Spinning Backfist! Geoff Penzer: Ultimecia! This time it-- no! Noelle ducks beneath the backfist again and rears back, delivering a hard slap to Savannah’s face! Savannah is turned completely around from the force of the slap, but delivers a straight boot to the jaw of Noelle, knocking her to the canvas! Savannah stumbles back into the ropes before stepping out to the apron. Geoff Penzer: Back and forth with these two! Something’s gotta give! Who walks out of here as the United States Champion? Who survives?! Savannah ascends to the top turnbuckle as Noelle coughs, clutching her jaw, pushing herself to her feet on the mat. Geoff Penzer: Savannah’s up top! Savannah balances on the top turnbuckle until Noelle reaches her feet. Savannah leaps off, going for the Dragonrana, but Noelle plants her feet and counters with a modified Powerbomb before flipping over into a jackknife cover! ONE . . . . TWO . . . . THR… . . Geoff Penzer: No! Savannah shifts her weight, hooking her legs beneath Noelle’s arms before hooking her with a modified Sunset-style pin! ONE . . . . TWO . . . . THREE! Geoff Penzer: Whoa! The bell sounds as both women roll away from each other! Noelle looks at the referee in shock, wiping blood out of her field of vision-- but realization hits as “Just Close Your Eyes” hits the PA system. Savannah Taylor laughs in disbelief beneath the ropes, blonde hair turned nearly-red from the blood spilt. Melanie Sierra: Here is your winner… and the NEEEEWWWW FGA United States Champion… “BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Melanie Sierra: ...SAVANNNAAHHH TAYYYYLOR! Taylor snatches the belt out of the referee’s hands and rolls out of the ring, leaning against the barricade with a grin. She hugs the belt to her chest while Noelle sits in the center of the ring, face buried in her hands. Geoff Penzer: Noelle Smith came so close. So close. Just that fast and Savannah Taylor was able to capitalize. What a contest. Noelle has nothing to be ashamed of and Orlando is letting her know that! There is an applause even after the bell, but Savannah Taylor has already begun her ascent up the ramp, turning only once to raise the bloodstained title above her head with a grin. Noelle breathes heavily in the center of the ring, accepting the ovation from the Amway Center with a small smile, shooting only one final glare in Taylor’s direction as we fade away.

The scene shifts to a panning outside shot of the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida! Kris Cruise Voiceover: Ladies and gentlemen, the 2018 Gold Rush Rumble is still to come. But right now, let’s throw to some pre-recorded comments from some of tonight’s participants… ***** James Edwards stands in front of the Gold Rush Rumble looking calmer and more relaxed than the FGA audience has ever seen him. James Edwards: This is the best I've felt in months. My nagging injuries are healed, my focus is restored, and my heart is free from hate. I know the opportunity before me, a chance to main event the biggest show of the year and challenge a living legend like Johnny Karma or Evan Envi for the Undisputed Championship. I know the odds are long for me to win and I know I the wall of talented fighters I've got to go through is vast. Edwards takes a deep breath, a shadow of doubt present in his body language and eyes. James Edwards: I also know there are temptations in the Rumble...things from my past...people and memories of failure of my time on Vertigo...distractions really that could make my stay in the match a short one. That's why focus is key for me. I keep my eyes on the prize, I can win this thing and get the biggest fight of my life, if I don't then shit stays the same. The thought sours Edwards disposition even further. He puts on a mask of determination for the camera, but as always conflict and confidence grapple for supremacy on the visage of the Burning Heart. ***** Piper Lennon paces back and forth before finally leaning back against the Gold Rush Rumble backdrop and fiddling with her camera. Piper Lennon: Get the feeling you're gonna hear a lot of big words. People making promises they probably won't live up to and putting a lot of pressure on themselves. She shrugs lightly. Piper Lennon: Not really my style, while everyone else has tunnel vision I try to see the big picture. That's not to say I'm smarter than everyone else, I'm still young I have a lot to learn, but I know that. In an environment like this with so much going on, I'm planning on making the most of it, of soaking in everything I can. I'm an explorer, a learner, I have a hunger for living life. Pretty simple unspectacular stuff, but in an environment where it's a struggle for some to stay engaged for the duration, where they might have lapses in concentration? Exact opposite for me. With a wink, she flashes a smile. Piper Lennon: Should be fun to see what kind of shenanigans I can get into, and what doors open from there. ***** A somewhat rested, yet confident Savannah Taylor stands in front of the Gold Rush Rumble logo, having managed to catch her breath after her match earlier in the evening. Savannah Taylor: Tonight, twenty-nine other men and women will stand before you and make grand overtures about why they are going to be the one to win the Gold Rush Rumble. Twenty-nine other superstars who all have made these grand prognostications, either on television or on social media. Let me tell you why these men and women are wrong and why they are not only setting themselves up for failure but everyone in attendance and watching on pay per view as well. It’s one thing to talk a good game to anyone who will listen. It is one thing to make your intentions known to the masses. But there comes a time when words simply aren’t needed as much. After all, don’t actions speak louder than words? She says with a slight chuckle. Savannah Taylor: I don’t care who you are. I don’t care what you do. The only thing I am concerned about is how many of you I have to endure in order to secure MY shot at the Undisputed championship. I don’t care if you fancy yourself to be a Goddess. I don’t care if you are a witch. I don’t care if you are the betrothed of the Crown Prince of North Korea. I don’t care if you are Indestructible. I for DAMN sure don’t care if you are the supposed Ace. The only thing that matters is by the end of the night, twenty-nine other men and women will all look up into the ring and see MY hand raised in victory and will be forced to watch ME go on to All Star Showdown to face the Undisputed champion. I’m done playing by everyone else’s rules about what I should be able to do. I’m forging my own path to greatness, and I WILL take what is rightfully mine. There won’t be a damn thing anyone will be able to do about it ***** A fired up Kendall Kingham is full of energy, bouncing on her toes in front of the Gold Rush Rumble backdrop. Kendall Kingham: This is the type of match I came to the Flashpoint Zone, I came to FGA for. I've talked about my plans for Mark and BROOKFORD already, but this whole drama is taking away from my big goal. To be someone who goes out there, competes against the best at the highest level in the biggest matches and always delivers! A beat skips. Kendall Kingham: I've had chances like that before here in FGA and been good but not good enough. But I'm still pushing forward, don't think because I'm all fired up I've lost sight of what's on the line here! I am, as someone who's won plenty of matches in my career without any titles to show for them, I know all too well! So you better believe I'm bringing everything I've got! ***** Chandler Scott appears in front of the Only The Strong Survive. He rubs his hands in anticipation of tonight’s main event. Chandler Scott: The Gold Rush Rumble. Last year, I participated in my very first Rumble. I did pretty well, if I do say so myself. But clearly not well enough. Because in the end, it didn't matter how long I lasted... it didn't matter many many men I chucked over the top rope... I came up short. I was bested by Johnny Karma... again. It was right there, man. The Gold Rush Rumble win was right there. I had it in my hands. But the match slipped through my fingers and the better man won. When I look back to last year and I see just how close I came to winning? It makes me want it that much more. So this year, I won't be sitting on the floor while another man's theme music plays. This year, I won't be forced to watch another man get his arm raised and receive that All Star Showdown title match. This year? Every head will bow and every tongue will confess that Chandler... Reigns... Supreme!

The cameras switch to a corridor backstage, where Spencer Burke is seen stood with the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion, Lowri Moss. With a smile on her face, and the championship belt wrapped around her waist, Lowri is dressed in her ring attire and her latest t-shirt from Irish Whip Clothing.
Spencer Burke: Lowri, in just a matter of minutes from now, you’re going to be defending the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship for the first time, in a match that you asked for, against Sadie San Francisco. It won’t just be your first defense of the Mid-Atlantic Legacy title though, it’ll also be the first title defense of any sort that you’ve had in your career, and so with that in mind, are you feeling any extra nerves ahead of this match?
Lowri takes a breath, as she contemplates the question for a moment, before giving a response.
Lowri Moss: You’re right, Spencer, this is a match that I explicitly asked for, and it’s one that I’ve been looking forward to for several weeks, ever since it was made official. But when I woke up this morning, and I was struck by the realisation that my first title defence - against the challenger I wanted - was just a dozen or so hours away, I’ll admit that there were some butterflies in my stomach, more so than usual. That soon passed though, and now I pretty much feel just like I would before any other match.
She lets out a somewhat nervous laugh, and then continues.
Lowri Moss: I know that might sound a bit stupid, because of course this isn’t just “any other match,” but if I was to let nerves get the better of me, then the match would probably be lost before I even set foot through the curtain. So no, right now I’m not feeling any more nervous than usual - although who knows, once I’m in the ring, and the match gets underway, that could change.
There is another awkward laugh from Lowri.
Spencer Burke: Following on from that, with this being your first ever title defense, have you prepared for it any differently than how you would normally prepare for a match?
Lowri gently shakes her head.
Lowri Moss: Not particularly. I mean, in terms of my training - my gym work, my sparring sessions - I haven’t really done anything out of the ordinary. And while Sadie is someone I’m quite familiar with, both as an opponent and as a partner, I haven’t neglected to do film study - I’ve rewatched all of our previous encounters, as well a number of her matches against other opponents, to try to make sure that I’m as ready as I can be for this contest. I suppose the only thing that has possibly been different about my preparations for this match, if anything, is that I may have put in even more effort than normal. I like to think that I always work as hard as anyone else around, to be the best that I can be, but now that I have a title to defend, I know I need to work even harder to keep hold of it; I need to find that extra ten percent - or perhaps even just an extra one percent - that will ensure I remain the champion.
She casts a glance downwards, towards the belt around her waist. She then returns her attention to Spencer.
Lowri Moss: I’ve stated previously how proud I am to be the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion, but I'm still getting used to the feeling of being champion, and I’m not ready to let this title be snatched away from me so soon after winning it, nor do I plan on allowing it to be.
Spencer Burke: As the defending champion, there’s going to be more pressure on you in this match tonight than there has ever been before now in your career. How do you think you’ll manage to cope with that?
Lowri Moss: Yeah, that’s going to be something new for me to have to deal with. Obviously Sadie knows what it’s like to go into a match as the champion - she knows what it’s like to have to deal with that pressure - but it’s a first for me, and probably the most difficult thing for me to prepare for.
A small sigh escapes from Lowri.
Lowri Moss: I’ve heard it said that “first defences are the worst,” and I’m well aware that winning a title is one thing, but keeping hold of it is harder still. I’ve spoken to friends of mine who have been champions, who had varying degrees of success defending their titles, to pick their brains about how being the champion in a match is different to being a challenger, although I’m not really going to know what it’s like to have that pressure of being a champion on you until I’m out there in the ring, experiencing it for myself. But even so, I’m confident that I’ll be able to cope with the pressure of being champion, and that I’ll be able to successfully defend my title.
She gives a confident nod of the head.
Lowri Moss: Plus, I’ve been working on building up my boulder shoulders, so that they’re broad enough and strong enough to bear the weight of all that added pressure.
With a grin on her face, Lowri grips an imaginary barbell by the top of her thighs, and raises it towards her chin, before lowering it back down to the starting position. She then repeats the motion a couple more times.
Spencer Burke: While you and Sadie San Francisco are both focused on ending the night as the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion, thirty other members of the FGA roster - including your tag team partner and boyfriend, Neal Durden - will be competing later on to earn a shot at the Undisputed Championship. Is there any disappointment as far as you’re concerned, that you won’t be one of the thirty participants in the Gold Rush Rumble?
Lowri shakes her head again, but in contrast to when she responded to one of Spencer’s earlier questions by shaking her head, this time it is a more assertive gesture.
Lowri Moss: No, not at all. Now sure, my ultimate ambition is to one day reach the pinnacle of FGA, and win the Undisputed Championship - as I expect is probably the case for everyone on the roster - but at present, I’m happy being the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion. I’ve only been the champion for two months, and I haven’t even gotten a title defence under my belt yet, so right now, I don't feel the need to get over-ambitious and to try to upgrade to the Undisputed Championship. Not yet, anyway.
She pauses briefly to take a breath, before continuing.
Lowri Moss: So no, I’m not at all disappointed that I won’t be in the Gold Rush Rumble later, because like you said, Spencer, that means that all I have to worry about tonight, is the task of defeating Sadie San Francisco, and I can focus all of my energy on trying to retain the championship that I actually already have in my possession.
Something then crosses Lowri’s mind that causes her to smirk.
Lowri Moss: And besides, if I was in the Rumble, then that would mean that Neal’s chances of winning it would be virtually nil.
Spencer Burke: Okay, one final question. We’ve already touched upon how for you this match is going to be different to any other match that you’ve had previously in your career, so once the bell rings, do you plan on doing anything differently? With what’s at stake, are you going to take a more cautious approach than usual, or you might you actually do the exact opposite, and take greater risks, all with the intention of keeping hold of your title?
Lowri takes another, deeper breath, composing herself, while a number of moments from the past year or so flash through her mind.
Lowri Moss: I’ve been in FGA for thirteen or fourteen months now, and I think anyone who has been paying attention during that time has come to know what to expect from me. I give each and every match everything that I have, I fight with all of my heart, and I leave everything out there in the ring.
She puts her hands on her hips.
Lowri Moss: I already mentioned how ahead of each of my matches, I always study my opponents, and I try to formulate a strategy that I think can aid my chances of winning. But sometimes, when the bell rings, that all goes out the window; at A New Odyssey, everyone saw me come rushing out during Steel Warfare, before I was due to enter the match, and that was all because I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Dom Harter. Sometimes I stick to the game plan, but other times I have a tendency to dive headfirst into things, fighting with heart rather than sense; I just go with whatever feels right at the time, and I’ll approach this match tonight in the same manner.
A smile forms on her lips once more.
Lowri Moss: Two months ago I experienced one of the most memorable nights in my life, when I became the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion, and after everything that I endured to finally become champion, tonight is about ensuring that my reign doesn’t come to an end before it has barely begun. However, it’s also about putting right what happened the last October, on the previous occasion that Sadie San Francisco and I were opponents in a one-on-one match.
She lets out another small sigh, but still maintains her smile.
Lowri Moss: I’m not going to go over what happened again, because I think by now everyone ought to be aware of the circumstances. This is a rematch that’s six months in the making, and tonight, Sadie and I are going to have the match that we should’ve gotten to have last time. You’re going to see two grapplers who want to be the FGA Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion with every fibre of their being, and neither of us is going to hold anything back, in our quest to be the one that gets their hand raised at the end of the match. Things could get a bit wild at times during the match - in fact, they almost certainly will - but however the match pans out, in the end, unlike last time, we’re going to get a conclusive winner.
Taking her hands off her hips, Lowri runs the fingers of her right hand over the faceplate of the championship belt.
Lowri Moss: I’m not sure I can truly describe how important this particular match is to me, and how determined I am to win it. When I finally won this title, I did so by pinning Sadie. However, that was in a three way dance, and to properly cement my place as champion, I need to defeat Sadie in a one-on-one match - I need to win this match. Like I said during the sit-down interview that we had with Jessie, she helped set the standard for me to follow as champion, having held this title for over seven months. I asked for this match, and if I don’t win it, then I’ll have no one to blame but myself, but I’ll reiterate something else that I said during that interview two weeks ago: if I can’t win this match, then I don't want to be the champion.
Spencer Burke: So what about Sadie’s comment then that, “Luckily for you, it’s not about what you want”?
Lowri Moss: We’ll see, Spencer. We’ll see.
A smirking Lowri then walks off, and the camera cuts away.

We cut to the backstage area where, to the chagrin of the live audience, the number one contender to the FGA Undisputed Championship stands, visible for the first time of the night. Dressed in a plain black tee over new red-and-gold wrestling tights, Envi has his hands over his mouth, palms pressed together, obnoxious neon-colored sunglasses resting over his eyes, clearly deep in thought and unaware of the interviewer Spencer Burke, calmly approaching him from the side, entering from an adjacent corridor. Spencer Burke: Evan? Evan doesn’t move a muscle. He doesn’t acknowledge Burke’s presence. A few silent moments pass before the interviewer calmly clears his throat and repeats himself in a slightly louder voice. Spencer Burke: Ev--? Evan Envi: At what point, Spencer? Evan places his hands on his hips and sighs, looking at Burke, slightly shaking his head in discontent. Evan Envi: At what point do I get the respect from my peers that I earned by winning the Frontier Lion’s Cup back in December? I mean— do you know what it took for me to get to this point, not once but two times? Do you know how much work I put in, man?! I fought Karma in a classic at Grapple Kingdom and— and yeah, I got stopped by the better man— one time. He could never do it again, Spencer. I… I knew it then and I know it tonight. Orlando boos the Chief’s opinion but Evan raises a hand in annoyance, motioning for the masses to die down, able to hear them from all the way backstage. Evan Envi: But THEN, after giving this company an EPIC, I had to endure the emotional trauma of having my legions of fans stick their noses up and turn on me— all of them nauseated by the alien aroma of success. So now I’m out here shunned by the people I’ve been sacrificing my mind and body for since I was seventeen years old. Now that I’m ready and poised to take the biggest step of my career, they can’t relate. The fans can’t relate. My so-called friends can’t relate. I mean, it’s like when I single-handedly took on and defeated Chandler Scott, I crossed a line, y’know? I know how these fans work, man. They wanted to be in the minority. They wanted to cheer for the man that was struggling to make it up the card. They wanted to scream in frustration when I got so close-- SO CLOSE-- only to be smacked across the face by mediocrity like all of them. But now? But now… ”BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Evan ignores the deafening chorus of boos and goes on, shrugging as he gives Spencer a tiny half-smile. Evan Envi: But now it’s too real, right? Now they can actually feel it coming. Can you? Can you feel it, Spencer? Spencer Burke: I feel that you’re incredibly confident heading into tonight’s Undisputed Championship match. Evan Envi: And shouldn’t I be? Spencer Burke: Well, in fairness, the last time we saw you… was three weeks ago on Flashpoint when you were being absolutely brutalized by Johnny Karma, moments after making the revelation that you did orchestrate the attack on Cherry Baum. Not only that, Evan, but you said yourself that intended for it to be worse. I just… Evan Envi: Oh, who cares anymore? Does Johnny realize how LOOONG ago that was? Petty psychopath. It’s not like Cherry’s out here fighting for a championship. She’s not out here sacrificing her frickin’ wellbeing for these people, Spence. I am. Me. I’m not here to talk about the past. Spencer Burke audibly sighs and gestures toward Envi-- more throwing his hands up in defeat. Spencer Burke: So what are we allowed to discuss, Evan? Evan Envi smiles, gazing at Burke behind the sunglasses for a few silent seconds before going on in a low voice. Evan Envi: We can talk about how for the first time in my career, I have the stage I deserve and even with thirty of the greatest talents in wrestling today all fighting for a chance to be the second-most-important person in this company… there is no risk of my moment being overshadowed tonight. Let’s talk about there is nothing in the wrestling world comparable to what I’m about to accomplish and you-- you and your contemporaries should be falling OVER YOURSELVES to be a part of it. Evan sighs, looking down, the smile fading from his face. Evan Envi: There’s one very important person that wasn’t able to be here. And he should be. He should be out there, celebrating history with me. He should be out there, competing in the Gold Rush Rumble-- WINNING, the Gold Rush Rumble. But he was taken from us by that villain, Hadley Herrera. Envi sucks back the urge to cry. Evan Envi: Ricky Valero deserved better and I’m gonna do right by him. I am. I’m gonna do to Karma what the world’s been trying to do to Richard’s reputation. He goes on, holding up one finger at a time, making a verbal list to emphasize. Evan Envi: I’m gonna hurt him. And then I’m gonna ruin him. And then, when I’m announced as your rightful new FGA Undisputed Champion, it’ll b… Evan pauses, slowly turning to something that catches his eye out of frame. His jaw drops slightly and he reaches a hand up to his face, removing the sunglasses, revealing wide, surprised eyes. Evan Envi: Mother of God. The camera does an almost agonizingly slow pan over until it reveals the person whom Evan is staring at. The crowd pops loudly as Fujiko Mine stands there, her chocolate brown eyes narrowed at Evan over her glasses. Her arms are crossed over her chest, and her hip is cocked as she looks up at the #1 contender to the FGA Undisputed championship. She looks wholly unimpressed. There is a moment where the two stand in silence (wholly ignoring Spencer Burke,) but then the massive XENA cuts into the frame. She stands just in front of and to the left of Fujiko, her head tilted downwards to look at The Chief. She seethes for a few moments, and moves to advance on Evan, but a hand on her arm from the Apex Goddess causes her to stop. Fujiko Mine: Evan. Evan takes a deep breath, clearly tense, unmoving as his eyes drift from Xena, back down to Fujiko. Evan Envi: … Fujiko. He clears his throat, sticking his nose up a bit… probably to compensate for the initial look of nervousness. Evan Envi: Here to steal some of this shine, huh? I thought better of you ladies! Xena makes another advance towards, Evan, but she is restrained by Fujiko’s touch once again. She looks at Fujiko, as if to plead with her to let her have him, but the Apex Goddess merely shakes her head. Fujiko Mine: Unlike you, Evan...I am able to find shine all on my own. No need for anyone to help me get where I want. She smirks coldly, then feigns surprise. Fujiko Mine: Speaking of your help, where is Ricky? He’s got to be around somewhere tonight. You are trying to beat Johnny Karma, after all. She appears to wish to be satisfied, but then slumps her shoulders and shakes her head sadly. Evan looks irritated by the comment, muttering “too soon…” under his breath, but immediately falls silent and flinches as Xena reaches up with her free hand to scratch her brow, drawing a subdued chuckle from a section of the audience. Fujiko Mine: You know, Evan. I wanted to like you. I really did. But you had me fooled along with everyone else. To find out that YOU had Cherry attacked, that YOU set Chandler up not once, but twice, and that YOU are here tonight, still thinking you’re in the right? I… Her eyes water up a little bit, but she clenches her fists and gets a hold of herself. Fujiko Mine: I wanted to cheer you on. I wanted to believe in you. But you’ve made it clear you don’t care about any of that. You just care about yourself. Hope it was worth it. She shakes her head again, and slowly lets her hand drift off Xena’s forearm. She pushes up her glasses, and then walks out of the scene. Envi’s mouth hangs open slightly agape. Dozens of emotions seem to twist over his face. He looks as if he has something to say, but is unable to get the words out as Fujiko departs. Evan Envi: Wh… Envi slowly turns back to the fierce woman that towers over him. The color drains from his face as he slowly lifts his head to look up at her. Xena squints down at her forearm where she was touched, and then over at Evan. Her expression whips into a wicked grin as she realizes she is not being stopped this time. Evan Envi: Hey. It doesn’t have to be like this, alright? Look, I uh… Envi presses his back against the wall as Xena steps closer, wincing, turning his head away from her as she closes the distance. Evan Envi: I-- I’ll do right, okay?! I’m gonna make all this right. Chill. Let’s not do anything reckless here. Eyes still wide as he looks at Xena out of the corners of them, Envi raises his palms. She steps forward, swift and quiet until there is almost no space between them. XENA: YOU… The wicked grin fades, almost into a look of pity. XENA: YOU. I know. I know everything from that look. The comments. The roses. I know. She may not see it. Maybe she did, and she’s ignoring it. But I see it plain as day. And you? In his face, she lets out a humorless laugh. XENA: You blew it. The normally mute Xena looks down at Evan, then by the look on her face, it’s clear she’s decided he isn’t worth anymore. She steps back, then away. She follows in the direction of Fujiko until she too is gone from the scene. Evan slowly lowers his hands, pulling himself off the wall with a look of discontent on his face. He sighs, rubbing a hand over his eyes before Spencer Burke casually steps back into the frame, giving Evan a once-over. Spencer Burke: How’d that go? Evan looks down, biting his lip, shaking his head a little. Evan Envi: I… Evan slowly pushes his sunglasses back up onto his face and clears his throat, looking at Spencer in silence for a moment before giving him a weak shrug. Evan Envi: I… I don’t care. I don’t need her. There’s no one coming along for the ride this time. It’s just me. The way it should be. Evan takes a small breath and moves past Spencer. Evan Envi: And when I win that Undisputed Title, Spence, I want you to gather your little band of misfits… you, Amanda, Jessie… and I want all of you to have the honor if interviewing the new… rightful... FGA Undisputed Champion. Envi looks in the direction Fujiko and Xena departed in, drawing another breath… before giving Spencer a strong pat on his shoulder and turning to walk in the opposite direction. Spencer watches Envi leave as we slowly fade to black.

FGA MID-ATLANTIC LEGACY CHAMPIONSHIP Lowri Moss vs. Sadie San Francisco J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the FGA MID-ATLANTIC LEGACY CHAMPIONSHIP! The lights in the arena fade to a rose color as the familiar sound of smooth jazz echoes throughout the building. “Young Nation” hits the PA system and a roar surges through the audience. Sadie San Francisco steps out onto the stage, a brow raised, and a small smirk on her face, expression hidden behind tinted aviators. She walks down the ramp, a hand resting on the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship around her waist. She pauses in front of the ring, glancing up into it before calmly walking around toward the side which the hard-camera faces. J.A. Aldridge: Introducing first, the challenger. Hailing from The West Side, weighing in at 128 pounds … She is “THE POPE”….SADIE SAN FRANCISCO! Sadie places a hand on the bottom rope before turning, looking over her shoulder toward the audience. With one finger, she lowers her sunglasses for just a moment to wink out at the audience before pushing them back into place and swiftly pulling herself into the ring beneath the bottom rope and right back up to her feet. Sadie calmly removes her sunglasses, handing them off to the referee, slowly walking the ropes and unhooking her belt, raising it above her head with both hands as she ascends to the second turnbuckle. Earning another pop from the audience, Sadie lowers the belt onto her shoulder and hops down from the corner, pacing the ring a bit as she readies herself. J.A. Aldridge: And her opponent… "New Blood" by Zayde Wolf plays over the PA system, and once the song's intro finishes, Lowri Moss walks through the curtains, out onto the stage, with a broad smile on her face and her title around her waist. Lowri takes a moment to scan the cheering crowd, before making her way towards the ring, and as she does so, she slaps the hands of some of the fans that reach out to her. J.A. Aldridge: Hailing from Llanelli in Wales, weighing in at 142 pounds. She is the reigning FGA MID-ATLANTIC LEGACY CHAMPION … LOWRI MOSS! After arriving at ringside, Lowri climbs the steps up onto the ring apron, and then steps through the ropes, before heading for one of the corners and climbing to the second rope. Lowri takes the title from around her waist, and holds it aloft, eliciting further cheers and more applause. She holds the title in the air for several seconds, soaking in the reaction, as she again surveys the crowd. Kris Cruise: Here we are, folks, the third title match of the evening and what is sure to be one hell of a contest. Stephy Auger: Says you, Cruise. These two have done their best to conspire together over recent months to rob Jaelynn Ramsey of that title, and now they’re competing for it without her? And you expect this to be a better match than what happened at Vertigo 48? Kris Cruise: The three of them have traded the title back and forth, that’s for sure. But Lowri and Sadie have both been chasing this belt for the longest time. And after teaming together to vanquish The New Murder back at A New Odyssey, their rivalry renewed. Stephy Auger: Yeah, but one of these two are leaving here as a champion. Kris Cruise: And they’ll have earned that belt through blood, sweat, and tears, Stephy. But there’s the bell, it’s time to get this one underway! LET’S GO, SADIE! LET’S GO, LOWRI!
LET’S GO, SADIE!! LET’S GO, LOWRI!!
LET’S GO, SADIE!!! LET’S GO, LOWRI!!! The crowd are chanting as the bell sounds to start the contest. Both competitors move towards the center, staring each other down for a moment before Lowri offers her hand. Kris Cruise: A nice display of sportsmanship to start the match here. Stephy Auger: Pandering to the fans, that’s what that is, Cruise. A roar from the crowd is all the encouragement Sadie needs to shake hands with her opponent, drawing a cheer from the fans in attendance. The embrace breaks and both competitors begin to circle the ring. Lowri feigns moving in, but Sadie doesn’t flinch as they continue circling each other. This time it’s Sadie’s turn to feign an approach, but Lowri doesn’t move a muscle in response. Finally, however, they do lock up collar and elbow and Lowri overpowers her opponent, pushing Sadie back into the corner. The referee calls for a break, which he gets on the count of two, before Lowri lands a powerful punch to the ribs. And another. Soon enough the champion is unloading on her foe, before switching tactics and thrusting her knee up into the guts. An Irish whip follows and Sadie is sent from pillar to post. Lowri charges in after her, only to run right into a big boot to the face. Moss staggers back a few steps as Sadie emerges from the corner, throwing some left handed forearms that rock the champion. Sadie lunges forward with a clothesline attempt, which Lowri manages to duck under and counter with a standing dropkick! Kris Cruise: Neither competitor able to get a clear advantage here in the early going. Stephy Auger: Because neither can hold a torch to Jaelynn Ramsey, Cruise. Kris Cruise: She’ll be in action later tonight in the Gold Rush Rumble, but for now we’ve got a Mid-Atlantic Legacy match going on. Just focus, Stephy. Sadie rolls away back to her corner, as Lowri stands back up on the opposite side of the ring. A round of applause sounds out in appreciation, and both competitors set about circling the ring once again. They lock up collar and elbow once again, and this time Sadie manages to apply a front facelock. She uses it to take Lowri down to the mat, only to see Moss spin out and counter with a front facelock of her own. It doesn’t last long, however, as Sadie reverses that, and brings Lowri back to her feet with a front facelock applied. Unable to bring on a suplex, Sadie opts for a rear waistlock instead, before Lowri reverses into a hammerlock. She wrenches the arm, causing Sadie to hop around the ring for a moment, before she drops to the mat to force a break. The challenger rolls through to her feet and pops back up with a smirk on her face as the two competitors circle the ring once again. Stephy Auger: Neither Sadie nor Lowri can even gain an advantage here, are we sure they deserve to be a champion, Cruise? Kris Cruise: These are two of the best upcoming talents in FGA, Stephy. Future Undisputed champions in the making. Another collar and elbow tie up ensues, as Lowri goes low and hits a single leg takedown. Sadie hits the mat back first as Moss keeps hold of the leg, applying an ankle lock for a brief time, before switching into a wrist lock. Sadie kicks her legs to get back to a vertical base, even with the wrist lock still applied. But Lowri sweeps the leg out from under her opponent, sending Sadie crashing back to the mat. Again, the challenger kicks her legs to aid in her ascent back to a vertical base. She rolls through and pops back to her feet, lifting her leg over the wristlock to break the hold. A snapmare takes the champion down, and Sadie follows up with a swift kick to the spine! And another! And a third! Lowri forces herself back to her feet, but SSF is on her in a flash; the left handed forearms battering the champion, forcing her back into the corner as Sadie continues laying into her opponent. An Irish whip follows. Lowri’s sent from pillar to post as Sadie charges in with a running knee lift! It connects flush on the jaw of the champion, and Lowri staggers out of the corner, gets spun around and planted with a bridging back suplex as Sadie goes for the first cover of the match. ONE! . . TWO! . . KICKOUT! Kris Cruise: Lowri kicks out at two, but it looks like Sadie San Francisco has gained the upper hand here, Stephy. The stalemate has been broken. Stephy Auger: You’re not kidding, and I think I felt that back suplex from here. Lowri landed right on her neck there. Sadie sits right back up and looks towards the official, who just holds up two fingers. Undeterred, the challenger brings her opponent back to her feet and pushes Lowri back against the ropes. Some chops light up the champion’s chest before Sadie goes for an Irish whip. Lowri rebounds off the far ropes and comes back; she has the move scouted, however, as Sadie lowers her head for a back body drop. The boot to the face forces The Pope to stand back upright, before Lowri drills her with a headbutt! Sadie sways backwards, and Lowri nails her with a roundhouse kick that drops the challenger to her knees! Kris Cruise: What a kick! A hurricanrana driver follows, and Lowri drives her opponent face first into the canvas before rolling her over and hooking the leg. ONE! . . TWO! . . KICKOUT! This time it’s Lowri’s turn to sit up in shock as the referee holds up two fingers, distracting the champion long enough for Sadie to roll out under the bottom rope. Sadie’s holding her face in pain as she leans on the guard rail. Stephy Auger: What has she got in mind here? Kris Cruise: I’m not sure, but the Legacy champion is hyping herself up. Lowri runs against the ropes, and then the far ropes. Building up speed all the while before she leaps out with a suicide dive! Sadie is sent crashing back against the guard rails, but Lowri is right back on her feet as she slides back into the ring. She runs against the far ropes again, coming back with another suicide dive that, again, sends Sadie flying back against the steel rails! Moss poses with her arms raised in the air, drawing a loud pop from the crowd, before she rolls Sadie back into the ring. Sadie staggers back to an upright position, only to get doubled over by a boot to the gut. Lowri hooks her opponent in position for a swinging neckbreaker, but The Pope pushes her away and against the ropes, only for Lowri to come back with a crucifix driver! Kris Cruise: What impact on that crucifix driver! Stephy Auger: I think Sadie might be out. Lowri rolls her opponent over again, and hooks the leg. ONE! . . TWO! . . TH-NOOO! Sadie throws the shoulder up at the last second, and Lowri shakes her head. The champion sitting up in dismay as the crowd continue chanting her name. Stephy Auger: These fans still cheering for both women, Cruise. It’s like they can’t even pick a side and stick with it. Kris Cruise: Both Lowri and Sadie are fan favorites. And both women have vowed to leave it all on the line tonight, Stephy. The crowd appreciate that sort of commitment. Stephy Auger: Oh I get it, they want to make this match better than their last encounter. But without Jaelynn Ramsey here to save the day, I’m not sure if that’ll be possible. Kris Cruise: Regardless, we’re sure to be in store for a hard hitting contest here. Neither Lowri nor Sadie will want to give this one up without a fight, and whoever wins will have to fight harder than they’ve ever fought before to escape with the win here. Moss gets back to her feet and brings Sadie up with her. Some forearm smashes to the face connect, forcing Sadie back into the corner again. There, Lowri lowers her shoulder and thrusts it repeatedly into the midsection, before finally levelling Sadie with another forearm smash. The champion takes a step back and points towards the top turnbuckle, earning herself another pop from the crowd. Sadie gets lifted up so that she’s sitting on the top turnbuckle, and Lowri begins to climb. Once atop the ropes, Lowri connects with a couple of right hands to the head as she lifts Sadie up to a standing position. But The Pope fights back. A hard shot to the gut. And another. A throat thrust has Lowri wobbling, before Sadie kicks her feet out from underneath her as Lowri slips– Stephy Auger: Oh, that has to hurt! The champion finds herself crotched on the top turnbuckle, before falling backwards into a tree of woe position. Sadie perched precariously above her as the crowd roar in anticipation for the double foot stomp that follows! Kris Cruise: Did you see the elevation on that one, Stephy? Sadie San Francisco flying through the air with that double foot stomp! Stephy Auger I did! And you know Lowri is feeling the effects of it right now. Moss is dazed, upside down in the corner after that double foot stomp as Sadie rolls through and back to her feet. She staggers forward, nearly falling into the opposite corner; The Pope needing to stop to catch her breath and shake off the cobwebs, before she peers over one shoulder. The Mid-Atlantic Legacy champion still suspended upside down across the ring as Sadie turns around. She takes a deep breath and charges across the ring, before leaping up for the hesitation dropkick right to the face! But Lowri is still hanging there… Sadie forces herself back to her feet again, albeit with the aid of the ropes. She fires off one boot to the gut, then another as Lowri is helpless against the onslaught. So Sadie places her boot across the throat to choke the champion. Stephy Auger: Doing whatever it takes apparently. The referee counts for the break, getting to the four count before Sadie releases the choke. Some of the crowd aren’t too pleased with her, but they’re mainly the younger fans. Undeterred, The Pope unhooks her opponent’s feet, allowing Lowri to slump to the mat. Sadie drops down and covers. ONE! . . TWO! . . THR-NOO! The referee points to the foot on the ropes as Sadie is forced to drag her opponent towards the center of the ring. She stomps at Lowri’s torso, before moving onto her arm. A knee drop down across the elbow does the job, before Sadie applies an arm bar in the center of the ring. The referee on hand to check for a submission, but Lowri seems intent on fighting her way out of this one. She manages to make her way back up to a kneeling position as the hold transitions into a wristlock. Moss rolls forward, popping back to her feet – before Sadie sweeps the leg and sends the champion crashing back to the mat. Sadie releases the hold and simply stomps on the hand of Lowri Moss, and the champion howls in pain as she rolls away. Kris Cruise: Looks like Sadie is trying to take out the hands of the champion here. That’ll remove some strikes from Lowri’s arsenal. Stephy Auger: They said they’ll do whatever it takes, Cruise. And we all know what that means for someone like Sadie San Francisco. Lets not forget her days in Camp Envi! Moss rolls towards the ropes, but she’s helped along the way by a basement dropkick! Sadie sending her opponent flying out under the bottom rope, as Lowri lands with a thud at ringside! The Pope follows her opponent out of the ring, rolling under the rope herself before picking Lowri up by the hair. The champion is sent face first into the ring apron before staggering away. But Sadie stays on her. A boot to the midsection doubles Moss over as the referee starts the count out. ONE! TWO! Sadie has her opponent in a standing headscissors as she looks out across the crowd. She points towards the ring apron and reaches down to grab around Lowri’s waist… But she can’t pick the champion up. Moss drops to one knee to deadweight the challenger, but Sadie tries again. To no avail. The fans cheer again as Lowri stands back up, with Sadie’s legs over her shoulders. Kris Cruise: What does she have in mind here, Stephy? But before he can finish the question, Lowri brings her opponent down back first across the ring apron with an Alabama Slam! Sadie howls out in pain as she leans back against the ring, her arms spread to either side. Lowri stumbles away and back against the guard rail as she tries to catch her breath. But she can’t wait too long. THREE! FOUR! Moss lunges forward with a discus elbow, catching The Pope flush against the jaw before the action returns to the ring again. Sadie is rolled back in under the bottom rope as Lowri follows. But Sadie is already crawling away towards the center of the ring as Lowri stands back up. The champion runs against the far ropes for momentum, before coming back with a shining wizard! The crowd cheer again as SSF drops to the mat, with Lowri on top as the champion hooks the leg! Kris Cruise: This could be it, Stephy! ONE! . . TWO! . . THR-NOOO! Stephy Auger: I’m not sure how she kicked out, Cruise. But Lowri’s gonna need to do more than that if she wants to defend her title tonight. The crowd cheer again as Sadie throws the shoulder up at the last minute, but Lowri just sits up in shock. Her head in her hands in disbelief, before she forces herself back to an upright position. With her hands clasped around her opponent in a rear waistlock, Lowri lifts Sadie back to a vertical base. The Pope looks to be out on her feet as Lowri roars, and delivers a German suplex! Kris Cruise: What the– He says, as Sadie rolls through and pops back up to her feet. Moss gets back up and sees her opponent standing. And she can’t believe it! Nonetheless, Lowri charges in, only to get sidestepped by The Pope. The champion hits the ropes chest first and rebounds right into Sadie’s arms – and a German suplex of her own! Lowri rolls through as well, staggering around the ring in a daze as Sadie musters up whatever energy she has left to leap up with a cross legged hurricanrana! She brings the champion down, and locks in the triangle choke! Stephy Auger: Wait a minute! Sadie has the submission locked in, right in the middle of the ring! Kris Cruise: This could spell trouble for the champion here! The referee is right there to check for the submission, but Lowri isn’t wavering yet. Sadie wrenching it in as hard as she can, with what little she has left in the tank. But the champion is holding on. LET’S GO, SADIE! LET’S GO, LOWRI!
LET’S GO, SADIE!! LET’S GO, LOWRI!!
LET’S GO, SADIE!!! LET’S GO, LOWRI!!! The dual chant sounding out again as Lowri tries to get back to her feet. She’s not quite there, but does manage to make it to her knees as Sadie keeps the triangle choke locked on. Moss reaches out for the rope, but they’re not close enough. Kris Cruise: She’s fading, Stephy. Lowri Moss may be done for here. Stephy Auger: Not even the fans can save her now, Cruise. We could have a new champion. The referee raises the arm once, and it falls… Sadie wrenches back harder as the referee raises Lowri’s arm again, and it falls a second time. Stephy Auger: This is it… She says as the referee raises Lowri’s arm a third time… BUT IT STAYS UP! Kris Cruise: She’s still in it! This one isn’t over yet! Panic spreads across Sadie’s face as she sees the champion rallying herself. Summoning up what energy she has left, as Lowri manages to lift Sadie up into the air – and she counters with a turnbuckle powerbomb! The crowd erupt into cheers again as Moss staggers backwards. Sadie moves away from the corner, holding onto the top rope to stay upright as Lowri runs in with a cactus clothesline, sending both of them over the top all the way to the outside! Moss is the first one back to her feet, albeit with the aid of the announce table. Sadie isn’t far behind, although neither woman was particularly quick. Lowri grabs her opponent by the back of the head and slams Sadie face first into the announce table. She rears back a second time, and this time Sadie rolls up onto the table after impact. Looking around the arena for support, Lowri climbs up after her, before placing Sadie in a standing headscissors. The announcers scrambling away to safety as the Mid-Atlantic Legacy champion sets her opponent up for a powerbomb – NO! Sadie kicks her legs to block it. Lowri tries again, but again Sadie blocks it, and drops down to crawl between Lowri’s legs. The Pope popping back up to her feet behind her opponent. Lowri spins around and gets doubled over with a boot to the gut – and a Fameasser drives the champion face first through the table! Stephy Auger: Oh my God! Kris Cruise: Sadie San Francisco pulling out all the stops here, and breaking our table in the process! Stephy Auger: Whatever it takes to become champion, Cruise! They said they’d lay it all on the line, and that’s exactly what they’re doing. Kris Cruise: I know. But she can’t win the title by count out, Stephy. Sadie’s going to need to get this one back in the ring if she wants to win the belt. Stephy Auger: And that might be easier said than done right now… She says, referring to the limp in Sadie’s step. The challenger holding her coccyx in pain as she reaches down to bring Lowri back to her feet. Slowly but surely, the pair begin to move back towards the ring as Sadie rolls the champion in under the bottom rope. The referee waits for Sadie to follow her opponent in, and The Pope hooks the leg. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE-NOOOO! Lowri gets the shoulder up at the last second! The last possible second. And the champions stays in it. Kris Cruise: Sadie can’t believe it, and neither can I! How did Lowri Moss kick out there? Stephy Auger: She’s desperate to keep that title belt, Cruise! And after her boyfriend failed to bring home the Rey Del Aire during the week, I can’t blame her. Don’t want two losers in the house. Sadie lies there in shock, staring up at the ceiling as the referee assures her it was just a two count. The frustration beginning to show on the usually calm demeanor as The Pope sits up. With the aid of the ropes, Sadie makes it back to her feet as she brings Lowri up to a vertical base, albeit with a rear waistlock applied. The lights are on, but nobody’s home as Moss struggles to remain upright. Sadie looks out across the crowd again, measuring the reaction as she hooks the arms of the champion… Vanity–NO! Lowri spins through, breaking her opponent’s grip before lashing out with a desperation Breuddwydion Melus (Superkick)! The crowd cheer again, but Sadie stays on her feet somehow. Until Lowri dives around the back of her opponent and plants Sadie with the Nos Da (Rolling cutter)! Kris Cruise: Nos Da connects! That has to be it! Lowri crawls across, draping an arm over the chest of Sadie as the referee drops down to make the count. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE!!! The crowd cheers when "New Blood" hits the speakers. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this bout and STILL FGA MID-ATLANTIC LEGACY CHAMPION…LOWRI MOSS! The cheers continue when Moss gets her arm raised in victory. Kris Cruise: What a matchup we were just treated to, Stephy. Sadie San Francisco is without a doubt one of the best Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champions in FGA history! But tonight, she was bested by Lowri Moss! The referee is about to hand the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship belt over to Moss when The Pope stops him. Kris Cruise: What's this? San Francisco takes the title from the referee. The Pope looks down at the championship that was once hers before looking over at Moss. Stephy Auger: Go ahead, Sadie! Bash her! Bash her right in the face with the belt! San Francisco heads over... and hands the championship to Moss. The crowd cheers as Moss takes the belt from her challenger. The Pope then motions to head out of the ring when Moss puts a hand on her shoulder. When San Francisco turns around, Moss offers her a handshake. Cheers and applause are heard throughout the arena when Moss and San Francisco shake hands. Kris Cruise: That's what it's all about right there! Stephy Auger: Oh give me a break... "New Blood" hits the speakers again as Moss celebrates. The Pope then exits the ring and makes her way up the aisle. She then turns and looks back at the ring before Jaelynn Ramsey comes out of nowhere and whacks her across the back of the head with a steel chair! The crowd erupts with boos as Ramsey nails San Francisco across the back over and over with the chair! Kris Cruise: What the hell has gotten into Jaelynn!? She has no business even being out here! Ramsey goes to inflict more damage with the chair until referees and officials pull the former Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion away from The Pope. Moss can be seen running up the aisle to tend to San Francisco...

The Only the Strong Survive feed cuts backstage and we see Spencer Burke standing by with the former FGA Pride Champion, Chris Madison, and his manager, Frankie Morrison. Burke greets the audience with a smile as Madison bounces from side to side with his head lowered. Morrison stands between the two and tugs at his suit jacket, fastening the top button.
Spencer Burke: After the last Vertigo, I had hoped I could get a word with you for AfterBurn about winning your match against Mitsuo Shimada. By the time I got to your locker room, I was advised you had already slipped out of the arena.
Chris plants his feet and lifts his head, looking over towards Spencer Burke.
Spencer Burke: You succeeded with your guaranteed title rematch on the line, setting up a championship match against Fujiko Mine tonight, giving you the opportunity to become the first three time FGA Pride Champion…
Frankie Morrison: Tonight is all about opportunity Spencer. Tonight, as you’ve mentioned, my client has the ability to become the first person in this company’s history to call themselves FGA Pride Champion for a third time. But that’s not the only opportunity presenting itself… There’s also the annual Gold Rush Rumble taking place in which the winner secures themself an opportunity at the FGA Undisputed Championship at All-Star Showdown. Tonight could end up being the biggest night in Chris’s FGA career!
Burke nods his head, looking passed Frankie Morrison, hoping to get a read on Madison.
Spencer Burke: Chris, you’re pretty quiet…
Madison chuckles.
Chris Madison: What do you want to hear from me Spencer? You want me to boast about overcomin’ a man that I’ve beaten time and time again, for the better part of a year? You want me to stand here and tell you about how much the Pride Championship means to me, and how becomin’ the first three time champ would be just as sweet as winnin’ it for the first time? Do you want me to go on about how the Gold Rush Rumble presents an opportunity to some of us who might not get it otherwise, and how I’m willin’ to mow down the twenty-nine other superstars to get a chance at provin’ that I’m the best all-around wrestler this company has?
Spencer Burke: Well, maybe you could at least touch on your opponent for tonight’s title match. It feels like you and Fujiko Mine have been riding a roller coaster leading up to Only The Strong Survive. You’ve successfully defended the Pride Championship against her, you’ve lost the the title to her, you’ve teamed together, and you’ve teamed against one another. It feels like it’s safe to say that you two respect the fight that you bring to the ring but may not like each other very much.
Chris shakes his head from side to side.
Chris Madison: There is no question that Fujiko Mine is an incredible athlete. My issues with her have nothin’ to do with what she’s capable of doin’ from bell to bell. In fact, I completely respect the work she puts in and everythin’ she’s accomplished as a competitor. But since she beat me, what has happened to the FGA Pride Championship?
Spencer Burke: I’m sorry, I don’t follow…
Chris Madison: It’s reverted back to bein’ nothin’ but an accessory to be carried around and shown off, like an oversized piece of jewelry! She does nothin’ to promote the championship and what it signifies to the company. She has already shifted her focus to that Gold Rush Rumble and earnin’ a shot at the Undisputed Championship, as if the Pride Championship just isn’t good enough for her. Those fans out there, they deserve better than that. They deserve a person to hold that championship as if it is the Undisputed Championship, not someone just lookin’ for another accolade to add to the resume. If she’s goin’ to beat me tonight, whether she likes it or not, she’s goin’ to have to respect the fact that I’m arguably one of the best wrestlers in the world and I’ve got a drive that is completely unmatched!
Spencer Burke: That’s a little unfair, isn’t it?
Chris Madison: Is it? Everythin’ I’ve done with that Pride Championship has been about buildin’ a culture that breeds competition. Fujiko seems more content holdin’ onto that belt and dodgin’ challengers. How’d that title match against Aria Eckhart go? Oh that’s right, when push came to shove, no matter how good it sounded, Fujiko didn’t put her title on the line! Tonight I fix that… I fix all of this… And she goes back on her merry way, promotin’ half naked attention whores instead of the Pride Championship which supposedly means sooooooo much to her.
Madison turns away from Spencer Burke, walking off with Frankie Morrison tailing him as the feed cuts away.

Up from the FGA logo, the establishing shot is a long one that focuses on a dark, urban street. A few streetlamps pierce the darkness that presides over the scene. Fujiko Mine: Fate. The voice that echoes through the street is quickly found as the camera pans left, bringing them to eye level with the woman known as Fujiko Mine. She has on a “Popular Demand” black jacket with a grey hood underneath. She clutches the FGA Pride Championship in her left hand, her grip falling between a side place and the main plate of the championship. Her eyes are trained down on that championship, rather than looking at the camera. Fujiko Mine: Some say fate drives us. That fate gives a script to follow, and it’s merely our job on this planet to carry out the lines and execute the blocking that fate has decided. If that’s the case, then it was fate that decided that I should suffer. Her eyes drift away from the FGA Pride championship, and towards the ground below her. Fujiko Mine: Fate decided that ten years ago, to the day, that I would leave my comforts behind and become homeless. Fate decided I would sell my possessions to leave wrestling behind, and take up any little job that would pay me any little amount of money I could get. Fate decided I’d spend months living under a bridge, until I could finally scrounge up enough to finally afford to feed myself more than once every two days. Fate decided I would be rescued from that life by the very person that forced my exile, and that from there I would have to scratch and claw from obscurity, all the way up to here. A humorless smile crosses her lips, her eyes back on the FGA Pride championship. Fujiko Mine: I was meant to be a prodigy. A first round draft pick. Can’t miss. But I did. I stumbled in Phoenix Wrestling, in Platinum Dynasty Wrestling, and in Femme Fatale Wrestling. By the time I’d made it to iiW and finally began to find my footing, it was ripped out from underneath meas the company folded. When I made it to LAW, people finally saw the flashes of potential that I actually had. I managed to fight adversity well enough to make headway, and I won the Ladies’ All-Star Wrestling Championship. At the same time, I was finally escaping the initial tide of Frontier Grappling Arts. I was determined, fate or no fate, to not be one of those who signed a contract with FGA and fizzled out a few months later. THIS, I told myself, was the big leagues. THIS, I told myself, was where I could really build my career. THIS...was it. This was where the potential would be realized. And I thought I’d had it, when I wrapped my hands around the Mid-Atlantic Legacy championship. She takes a look at her empty right hand. She curls her fingers, as if she was holding the title in mention there. Fujiko Mine: And so, I told LAW ‘Thanks, but no thanks.’ I was determined to make it here. Started from the bottom...literally. But fate had other plans. It was determined to have me drown. It was determined for others to make their names off me. Noelle Smith, Johnny Karma, Tony Carmine, the list went on. And so, my ray of hope was drowned in a sea of turmoil, with lightning striking only occasionally. She shakes her head, her eye level raising up a bit. Fujiko Mine: But storms don’t last forever, and I found that even fate couldn’t change that. While that storm raged, I improved. Slowly, but surely, I emerged from that storm infinitely better than when I’d entered it. Jimmy Page, he tried...but I proved I wanted to beat him more. And when the Gold Rush Rumble came around, I saw my opportunity to leash fate and make her work for me. She finally draws her eyes even with the camera, a scowl on her face. Fujiko Mine: For 56 minutes, I outlasted the best FGA had to offer. Industry giants like GRENDEL. Big names like Izzy Anders, and Johnny Karma, and Jimmy Page. But no storm can last forever. And at 56 minutes, my storm gave out. She purses her lips, the bitter memory still, somehow, fresh in her mind Fujiko Mine: I had a consolation prize. I moved forward and defeated Johnny Karma, winning this title. But fate came back around, taking my mother, and my wrestling hopes with her. Her eyes blink, then narrow as she attempts to stop herself from losing control. Fujiko Mine: But I resisted. I came back, and beat Molly Reid. I put that demon to bed. I went after this championship, and lost. Then I suffered the indignity of Chris Madison trying to lord himself over me. Even after I beat Kol, James Edwards, and him ALL in the same night to earn the opportunity to call myself a two time Pride Champion, he wants to do his best impression of fate and try and drown me in the storm. Her expression screams defiant. Fujiko Mine: Not again. Not this time. Chris Madison isn’t going to make his name off of me. I am going to systematically dismantle his dreams of winning this title again. He won’t have any excuses this time. He will have to live with the fact that he is not better than me. And in the main event, I will finally beat fate. She transfers her championship to her right hand, and steps forward, into one of the lamps bringing light in front of her. Fujiko Mine: Chandler Scott, Jimmy Page? They’ve been to the top of the mountain. Has it been a while? Sure. And I’ve got nothing but respect for the both of them. But I’m done being the runner up. I’m done being the one overlooking, and I AM DONE LETTING OTHERS MAKE THEIR NAMES OFF ME! She screams, her voice echoing off the nearby buildings. The camera moves in on her face, a fiery look in her eyes. Fujiko Mine: It’s my turn, now. I make my name by beating Chandler Scott. I make my name by beating Jimmy Page. I make my name by besting any past or present FGA stars that want to go to All-Star Showdown and challenge for the FGA Undisputed champion. Bring back The New Kings. Bring back Cordy Stevenson, Zero McHannon, whomever. Bring in Dom Harter. Bring on Savannah Taylor, or Brian Stryker. It won’t matter. I am going to be the last person standing in that ring at the end of the Rumble. She sneers. Fujiko Mine: ME. Fate has toyed with me long enough. I am not going to be controlled by fate anymore. I am going to control the fate of any and everyone in the Gold Rush Rumble, and I...am finally taking what should have been mine two years ago. She takes one step back, the camera doing the same. Fujiko Mine: I have survived it all. I am FGA’s greatest survivor. I will survive any reign, any king, and any other force of nature thrown my way. Having been born from obscurity...I will survive long enough to call myself FGA’s greatest success. The light above her flickers, then the word “APEX” shows up in shadow at her feet. She raises up the FGA Pride championship for a few seconds, then turns to leave. The camera focuses on the back of her jacket, in which there is a single word there, in pink. Goddess.

FGA PRIDE CHAMPIONSHIP (c) Fujiko Mine vs. Chris Madison The arena's lights dim to black as the opening guitar riffs to "War Machine" by KISS begin to screech over the P.A. system. The video screen lights up with visual static noise. Suddenly in the center of the screen a black handprint begins pulsating to the beat of the drum that has began to play. A spotlight shines on the entrance ramp and we see Chris Madison standing with his head bowed under a black towel, wearing an official FGA licensed t-shirt that says, "Always Ready For War," across the chest. He nods his head to the music and as the chorus breaks he rips the towel from his head and tosses it into the live audience, starting his way down the ramp toward, the ring. Better watch out 'cause I'm a war machine Better watch out 'cause I'm a war machine Melanie Sierra: The following contest is being fought under Pride Rules and it is for the FGA Pride Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, being accompanied to the ring by his manager, Frankie Morrison! From Long Island, New York! Weighing in at 220 pounds! He is “Mayhem” CHRIIIIIIS MAAAADIIISOONNNN!!! Madison makes it to the base of the steps and places one foot down before scoping out the fans directly behind him by peering over his shoulder. He smirks as the live audience sings along to the entrance music and then marches up the steps and climbs through the ropes. He immediately leaps up onto the middle rope and faces out towards the crowd. He brings his fists up to his face and punches his jaw with each hand before shooting his arms out horizontally with his hands wide open, welcoming whatever challenge is coming his way. Madison hops backwards, bouncing off of his feet and turns towards the center of the ring, snarling and ready to go... Kris Cruise: Chris Madison is looking to make history tonight by becoming the first three-time Pride Champion in company history. But to do so, he’s got to go through one of his toughest challengers throughout his FGA tenure and that’s the champion, Fujiko Mine. Both grapplers will be pulling double duty tonight and taking part in the Gold Rush Rumble later on. Stephy Auger: But you just heard from Madison moments ago. His primary focus is on regaining the championship. He’ll get to the Rumble when he gets toit. But right now, for him, priority number one is the Pride Championship. Madison looks focused and ready! Two quick guitar riffs ring out through the arena, and the crowd cheers loudly. warm pink and gold lights swirl around the arena. I’m calling you...from the future…to let you know we made a mistake... The lights over the ring go out completely, giving the arena the appearance of a dance club. And there’s a fog from the past that’s giving me such a headache… The lights fade for a moment, and then kick back in as Patrick Stump’s vocals wash over the arena. And I'm back with a madness I'm a champion of the people who don't believe in champions I got nothing but dreams inside, I got nothing but dreams I'm just young enough to still believe, still believe But young enough not to know what to believe in Young enough not to know what to believe in, yeah … At the top of one of the crowd entrances, one Fujiko Mine appears. The camera focuses on her as she looks out at the fans surrounding her. The imposing Xena stands behind her, holding onto Fujiko’s Pride championship. The nearest fans wave to catch her attention; Fujiko slaps some hands as she makes her way through the crowd and down to the ring. If I can live through this If I can live through this If I can live through this… Fujiko stops where she is, and throws her hands straight up in the air. All the lights in the arena go bright, and she yells out along with the song and the crowd… ”I CAN DO ANYTHING!! She continues moving towards the ring, and as the lyric comes back around, she repeats the previous motion. Fujiko reaches the ringside area, and follows it up with a graceful handspring onto and over the guardrail. She quickly runs up the steps, then hops onto the top turnbuckle. Xena clears the guardrail behind her, and a single spotlight converges on the woman known as the Apex Goddess. Melanie Sierra: And his opponent, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin! She is the reigning, defending FGA Pride Champion! She is the “Apex Goddess” FUJIKOOOO MINEEEE!!! Fujiko poses on the top turnbuckle, her hands outstretched over her head and her eyes closed. Xena holds up her championship from outside the ring. Some fans toss blue and yellow streamers in, which cascade over her, around her, and into the ring. The lights return to normal. She gets down off the top turnbuckle, and removes the streamers from her person before the match begins. Kris Cruise: Fujiko Mine has got gold on her mind. The Gold Rush Rumble, that is. She states that she will not be denied. We just heard from her moments ago where she stated in her video package that her time is now. She feels she is FGA’s greatest survivor. But before she gets to the Rumble, she’s got to survive Chris Madison. She’s got to survive this match with the Pride Championship still in tow. Stephy Auger: Fujiko’s been in a ton of these matches before. She knows just how intense, grueling, draining and hard-hitting these matches can be. Especially when you’re going up against a grappler the caliber of Madison. But if there’s one person who can do it again one more time, it is Fujiko. She’s survived Madison before. She’s beaten him before. Now the pressure is on to do it again. The match starts with both grapplers circling the ring before locking up. After jockeying for position, Madison drops down, goes behind Fujiko and applies a waist lock. He then lifts her up and throws her down with a waist lock takedown. Madison spins around on Fujiko’s back and applies a front facelock. The ref quickly heads over and asks Fujiko if she wants to give up. But the champion refuses. After battling back to a vertical base, Fujiko grabs Madison by the arm, spins out of the front facelock and reverses into an arm wrench. After Madison reaches over and reverses into an arm wrench of his own, Fujiko heads over towards the ropes before bringing Madison down with a springboard arm drag. As Madison returns to his feet, Fujiko runs over and delivers a double rotation tilt-a-whirl headscissors takedown, sending Madison rolling out onto the apron! As Madison pulls himself up using the ropes, Fujiko runs into the adjacent set of ropes, comes back and executes a slingshot hurricanrana, sending Madison flipping off the apron and to the floor! The cheers continue as Fujiko rolls back inside and waves her arms up and down to hype up the crowd. While Madison starts to pick himself up on the outside, Fujiko turns and runs into the far ropes. When she comes back, she jumps up for a dive to the outside. But instead of leaping to the outside, she kicks the top rope, twirls through the air and lands in a superhero pose before winking to Madison. Kris Cruise: Some gamesmanship there on the part of the champion. Stephy Auger: Why is she trying to showboat? Just get in there and beta him. Madison slides back in and rushes over to attack. But Fujiko quickly brings him down with a drop toe hold. The Pride Champion then rolls across Madison’s back, places him in a front facelock and delivers repeated knees to the head. She then turns him over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Madison kicks out. Fujiko picks up Madison and goes for an irish whip. But Madison reverses, sending the champ into the ropes. Instead of coming back, Fujiko hangs onto the ropes. She then turns ad slingshots herself out onto the apron as Madison rushes over. She then doubles him over with a shoulder thrust through the ropes before executing a sunset flip. ONE! . . TWO! . Madison kicks out. After both grapplers scramble back to a vertical base, Fujiko takes him by the arm and delivers another arm wrench. After Madison reaches over and reverses into an arm wrench of his own, Fujiko rolls forward, leans back, kips up and follows up with a headscissors takedown. She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . Madison kicks out. Fujiko moves Madison in the corner and proceeds to light up his chest with knife edge chops. She then goes for an irish whip. But Madison reverses and follows her across the ring. Instead of crashing into the corner, Fujiko grabs the top rope and counters with a corner slingshot headscissors takedown! Fujiko then picks up Madison, delivers another arm wrench and transitions into a hammerlock from behind. The ref asks the challenger if she wants to give up. But Madison refuses. He then reaches back with his free arm, grabs Fujiko and throws her down in front of him with a snapmare takeover. As Fujiko sits up, Madison nails her with a stiff kick to the back. He then reaches down, pulls up Fujiko and places her in a Muay Thai Clinch as he moves her into the corner. From there, Madison nails her with repeated knees to the midsection. He follows up with a jumping knee strike to the head from the clinch. After Fujiko crumbles from out of the corner, Madison drops down and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Fujiko gets her foot on the bottom rope. Kris Cruise: That’s one rope break gone for the Champion. Madison picks up Fuiko and whips her into the far ropes. When Fujiko returns, Madison throws out a clothesline. But Fujiko ducks before running the ropes. When she returns, Madison throws out a back elbow to the face. But again, Fujiko ducks before running the ropes. When Fujiko returns, Madison tackles her down with a Lou Thesz Press! The crowd cheers as the former champions mounts on top of Fujiko and rains down 12-to-6 elbows to the face! Madison pulls up Fujiko and doubles her over with a knee to the midsection before trying for a brainbuster. But Fujiko blocks the move. Madison then tries to muscle Fujiko up for another brainbuster. But again, Fujiko blocks the move. She then reverses into a small package. ONE! . . TWO! . . Madison kicks out. After both grapplers return to their feet, Fujiko connects with a step-up enzuigiri. While Madison is dazed, Fujiko turns, runs towards the ropes and comes back with a handspring back elbow. But Madison counters with a bicycle knee strike to the back! Madison drops down and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Fujiko gets her shoulder up. Kris Cruise: Good counter there by Madison. But the champion is able to get her shoulder up. Madison picks up Fujiko and whips her hard into the corner. As Fujiko staggers out of the corner, Madison doubles her over with a boot to the midsection, lfts her up from the side and throws her down with a pumphandle slam! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Fujiko gets her shoulder up. Kris Cruise: It looks like Madison is now starting to zero in on the back of Fujiko mine. The more he works over the back, the more and more his much faster opponent will slow down. Madison picks up Fujiko, leans forward and lifts her up onto his shoulders. He tries to head towards the center of the ring for an Alabama Slam. But Fujiko reaches out and grabs the top rope with both hands, blocking the move. While Fujiko’s got a deathgrip on the ropes, the ref gives Madison until the count of five put her down. Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! Madison reluctantly puts Fujiko down… and then doubles her over with a thrusting knee to the midsection. He then pulls Fujiko towards the center of the ring, lifts her up across his shoulder and delivers a Colt 45 Backbreaker! After Fujiko bounces off of Madison’s shoulder and rolls towards the side of the ring, Madison heads over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . TH-NO! Fujiko gets her shoulder up. Geoff Penzer: Fujiko gets her shoulder up. But equally as important was her using her second rope break to stop the Alabama Slam from Madison. We’re not even finished with the first fall yet and the champ is nearly out of rope breaks. That could very well come back to bite her if this match reaches a third and final fall. Madison takes Fujiko and whips her into the ropes. When Fujiko returns, Madison sets up for a back body drop. But Fujiko hurdles over him before heading into the ropes. When Fujiko comes back, Madison lifts her up, turns and throws her down hard with a spinebuster to cheers from the crowd! Madison stays on his knees as he catches his breath while Fujiko lays sprawled out on the mat. He then rolls across Fujiko and hooks the near leg for the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THR-NO! Fujiko gets her shoulder up. Madison returns to his feet, lifts up Fujiko’s legs and turns her over into a Boston Crab! Kris Cruise: Madison with the submission Stephy Auger: Is Fuji going to tap? The ref gets down and asks Fujiko if she wants to give up. When Fujiko refuses, Madison pulls back to increase the pressure of the hold. Fujiko can be seen with a look of anguish on her face as she remains trapped in the hold. The ref continues to shake if she wants to give up. Fujiko responds by shaking head head ‘no’. So Madison pulls back even further. Kris Cruise: Madison’s really trying to work over the lower back. Fujiko could try and fight her way to the ropes. But if she does that, then she’s out of rope breaks for the rest of the match. Fujiko groans while Madison keeps the position held. After refusing to submit again, Fujiko puts her palm down on the mat and groans as she slowly pushes herself up off the mat. The crowd cheers as the Pride Champion tries to make her way towards the ropes. But Madison is having none of that. So he drags Fujiko back towards the center of the ring and applies a Boston Crab with a knee to the back! Kris Cruise: Oh man! A kneeling Boston Crab! Fujiko’s got to be in excruciating pain right now! Stephy Auger: Good! The ref asks Fujiko if she wants to give up. When Fujiko refuses, Madison pulls back even more on the hold. Fujiko howls in pain. Madison continues to fight for the submission. But Fujiko will not give up. The crowd cheers as Fujiko slowly pushes herself up off the mat. Frankie Morrison can be heard shouting words of encouragement to his client while Fujiko continues to pull herself towards the side of the ring. Madison’s hanging on. He’s trying to stop her. But Fujiko will not be denied. She reaches out… and nearly grabs the bottom rope when Madison drags her back towards the center of the ring. After releasing the hold, Madison pulls Fujiko up from behind and lifts her up for a German Suplex. But Fujiko nails him with a back elbow to the face. After Fujiko’s lowered back down to the mat, she hits Madison with another back elbow to the face. And another. And another. Once the waist lock is broken, Fujiko heads towards the ropes and comes back with a handspring back elbow. But Madison catches her in mid air and smoothly counters with a release German Suplex! After Fujiko rolls backwards across the mat and up onto her knees, the crowd chers when Madison runs over and cracks her in the face with a bicycle knee strike! Madison pulls Fujiko up off the mat and cinches in a front facelock. He then falls back, forcing Fujiko down to the canvas. He then swings his right leg over Fujiko’s back while keeping his left leg over the back of her head. Kris Cruise: Peruvian Necktie! Stephy Auger: It’s over! Morrison can be seen slapping the apron repeatedly while instructing Madison to finish it right here. Meanwhile, the crowd is at a fever pitch. Half of the crowd chants for the challenger while the other chants for the champion! The ref gets down and asks Fujiko if she wants to give up. When Fujiko refuses, Madison squeezes even tighter. Fujiko tries to get up. But Madison ends up turning Fujiko over onto her back while he continues to fight for the submission. Fujiko howls in pain… before tapping out. MINE - 0 MADISON - 1 Geoff Penzer: Chris Madison strikes first, capturing the first fall! Now all of the pressure is on the champion. She has to win two straight falls while also only having one rope break left. Once the mandatory rest period ends, the bell sounds to start the the beginning of the second fall. While Fujiko pulls herself up using the ropes, Madison runs up from behind, pushes her against the ropes and brings her down with a backwards roll German Suplex! The ref slides into place to make the count. ONE! . . TWO! . . THR-NO! Fujiko gets her shoulder up. After pulling up Fujiko, Madison leans forward, lifts Fujiko up onto his shoulders and spins in place before throwing her down hard with an Alabama Slam! Madison drops down and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THRE-NO! Fujiko gets her shoulder up. Madison picks up Fujiko, grabs her from behind and throws out Comatosed (ripcord rolling elbow). But Fujiko ducks and counter with a pelé kick, knocking Madison back a few steps. While Madison tries to shake out the cobwebs, Fujiko slowly turns over on all fours. After getting back to a vertical base, Fujiko runs over to attack Madison when Madison counters with an overhead belly to belly suplex into the turnbuckles! After Fujiko crumbles out of the corner, Madison heads over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE-NO! Fujiko gets her foot on the bottom rope just in time! Kris Cruise: Fujiko avoids the three count. But she does so by getting her foot on the bottom rope! She’s got no rope breaks left! Madison grabs Fujiko by the hair and slowly pulls her up off the mat before applying a Sleeper Hold. Fujiko reaches over and wraps her arm around the top rope. But the ref doesn’t enforce a rope break. Kris Cruise: There it is right there! If Fujiko had rope breaks left, the ref would step in and force Madison to break the hold.this is perfectly legal! Stephy Auger: But because Fujiko doesn’t have any rope breaks lft, Madison rips Fujiko off the ropes, drags her over towards the center of the ring and heaves her over his head with a Sleeper Suplex! The cheers continue as he turns Fujiko over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THRE-NO! Fujiko gets her shoulder up. After pulling up Fujiko and throwing her down with a scoop slam, Madison drags Fujiko into position before stepping out onto the apron. The challenger then scales to the top turnbuckle and jumps off of a diving double foot stomp. But Fujiko rolls out of the way just in the nick of time. Once Madison lands on his feet, his momentum sends him rolling forward. After rolling to his feet and turning around, Madison runs back over into the corner and attack Fujiko. But Fujiko counters with a back elbow to the face. After stumbling back, Madison runs back into the corner. This time, Fujiko knocks him back with a boot to the face. After stumbling back, Madison runs back into the corner when Fujiko hoists herself up onto the middle ropes before bringing him down with a diving hurricanrana! When Madison gets up and turns around, Fujiko runs over and connects with a 360 Kick! The kick causes Madison to turn, stagger over and drops down across the middle rope. Fujiko then turns over before delivering a slingshot leg drop across the back of the neck! Madison rolls over towards the center of the ring while Fujiko pulls himself up using the ropes. Once Madison returns to his feet and turns around, the crowd cheers when Fujiko knocks him down with a springboard dropkick! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Madison kicks out. Fujiko picks up Madison and goes for an irish whip. But Madison reverses, sending Fujiko into the ropes. When Fujiko returns, Madison goes for a tilt-a-whirl maneuver. But Fujiko counters with a tilt-a-whirl russian leg sweep! She turns over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Madison kicks out. Fujiko takes Madison by the wrist before nailing him with the S.W.A.K. (ground arm pulled roundhouse kick). Fujiko nails him with another S.W.A.K.! And another! And another! And another! And another! And another! After slowly pulling Madison back up to his feet, Fujiko holds her lower back before turning and running into the ropes. When Fujiko returns, Madison hoists her into the air for a Pop-up maneuver. But on the way down, Fujiko grabs Madison, falls back and plants him with a DDT! Madison’s head bounces off the mat before he turns over onto his back. The cheers continue as Fujiko makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! Madison gets his shoulder up. Kris Cruise: What a close call there for the former champion! As Fujiko picks up Madison, Madison swats her hands off him and delivers low leg kicks before following up with a flying knee strike that drops Fujiko to a knee. Madison then turns and runs into the ropes. When he comes back, he throws out a bicycle knee strike. But Fujiko rolls out of the way. After Madison lands on his feet and turns around, he rushes over to attack Fujiko when she doubles him over with a spinning back kick to the midsection. After Madison slowly gets up off the mat and turns around, Fujiko runs across the ring and brings him down with a handspring ace crusher! Fujiko pulls up Madison and doubles him over with another spinning back kick before knocking him down with the Lucky Shot (backflip flash kick)! The cheers continue as she makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! MINE - 1 MADISON - 1 Kris Cruise: Fujiko ties it up! This match is now one a piece. This match is anyone’s for the taking. But one thing to worry about if you’re Fujiko is the lack of rope breaks. She doesn’t have any left. Madison’s got all three. Once the mandatory rest period ends, the bell sounds to start the the beginning of the third and final fall. Fujiko heads over, picks up Madison and goes for another spinning back kick. This time, Madison catches her foot. But Fujiko counters with three back elbows to the face. Madison lets go, sending Fujiko flying across the ring. After bouncing off the mat initially, Fujiko’s momentum sends her rolling out of the ring and to the floor. Back inside, a dazed Madison staggers over and falls against the ropes. Kris Cruise: Madison applied the Helicopter Guillotine before letting go and sending Fujiko to the outside. Once Madison regains his balance, he looks out and sees Fujiko picking herself up on the outside. So he bounces against the ropes, runs across the ring and flips over the top rope and goes for a High Jump Moonsault. But Fujiko dives out of the way, causing Madison to crash on the outside! Stephy Auger: Madison missed! Nobody was home on the dive! Fujiko rolls back into the ring. After pulling herself up using the ropes, she turns and runs into the far ropes. Hen Fujiko comes back, the crowd cheers when she dives over the top turnbuckle and knocks Madison down with a corkscrew plancha! Kris Cruise: There’s still fight left in the champion. Stephy Auger: Barely! Madison picks up Fujiko and slams her face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Fujiko around, Madison sends her slumping down in the corner with a flurry of forearm strikes to the face. From there, Madison grabs a hold of the top ropes before nailing Fujiko with multiple knee thrusts to the face. The challenger then reaches down, grabs Fujiko by the hair and slowly pulls her back to her feet. He then steps up onto the middle ropes and rains down 12-to-6 elbows while the crowd counts along. When Fujiko comes back, the crowd explodes with cheers when she knocks Madison down with the 4-Play (running single leg dropkick)! While both grapplers are down, the ref starts his count. ONE! TWO! But it’s to no avail. So Fujiko takes her far leg and repeated drops it across Madison’s face. She then pulls back, breaking Madison’s grip and fully applying the move. Kris Cruise: Fujiko’s got the armbar locked in fully now! Will Madison submit or will his arm get broken in half!? Madison howls in pain while Fujiko fights for the submission. The ref asks Madison if he wants to give up. But the challenger refuses. So Fujiko arches her hips against his elbow, applying even more pressure. Madison howls in pain before positioning his legs over towards the side of the ring. He then reaches out with his far leg and just gets it on the bottom rope, forcing a rope break. Both champion and challenger have no rope breaks left as we are deep into this match! Fujiko pulls up Madison and delivers multiple shoot kicks to the right arm. But Fujiko collapses to the mat, causing the ref to get caught with the knee strike! Kris Cruise: OH NO! The crowd gasps as the referee falls to the mat. Madison tries to revive the ref. But the ref is out cold. He then turns and heads over towards Fujiko. After pulling up the champion from behind, Madison turns her around and throws out a forearm strike. But Fujiko ducks and counters with a handstand calf kick. While Madison is dazed, Fujiko turns, heads towards the ropes and comes back with a handspring back elbow, knocking him down. While both grapplers are down, the split crowd begins chanting for champion and challenger. LET’S GO, MAYHEM! FUJIKO!
LET’S GO, MAYHEM!! FUJIKO!!
LET’S GO, MAYHEM!!! FUJIKO!!! The cheering quickly turns to boos when Vertigo GM Brandon Macdonald comes racing down the aisle in a referee’s shirt. Kris Cruise: What is Bandon Macdonald doing out here!? Stephy Auger: Someone has to call the match! Macdonald rolls into the ring and checks on the official. He then rolls the official to the outside before turning his attention to both Fujiko and Madison. Kris Cruise: Brandon Macdonald, who is no friend to either of these two, appears to have taken over as the official for this match! Stephy Auger: Again, someone has to uphold the order in this match. It’s not his fault that Chris Madison decided to take out a referee! Kris Cruise: That was an accident and you know it. Stephy Auger: Do I? Fujiko and Madison slowly get to their feet. They each turn and do a double take upon seeing Macdonald clad in a referee’s shirt. Macdonald points at champion and challenger before motioning for them to fight. Madison then turns to Fujiko and rocks her with a forearm strike. Fujiko goes to answer back when Madison cuts her off with another forearm strike. Madison begins knocking Fujiko back across the ring and against the ropes with a flurry of forearm strikes. He then takes the champ and whips her into the far ropes. When Fujiko returns, Madison goes for another Pop-up Codebreaker. This time, Fujiko blocks the move. She then hooks her arms around Madison’s legs and leans back, catapulting him into the corner. As Madison stumbles back and turns around, Fujiko throws out the Lucky Shot. But Madison leans out of the way. He then goes for a bicycle knee strike after Fujiko lands on her feet. But she catches his leg. After swinging Madison’s leg away from her, Fujiko leaps up onto his shoulders and spikes him with a poison rana! The cheers continue as she makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THRE-NO! Madison gets his shoulder up. Fujiko holds up three fingers to Macdonald. But Macdonald assures her it was only a two count. Stephy Auger: See that? A pair count. You can’t say that it was a slow or a fast count. Kris Cruise: ...no, it wasn’t... Fujiko picks up Madison and goes for an irish whip. But Madison reverses, sending her into the corner. He rushes over to attack when Fujiko knocks him back with a back elbow to the face. Fujiko then goes for a corner springboard roundhouse kick. But Madison ducks underneath it and lifts Fujiko up onto his shoulders from behind. Kris Cruise: Fujiko’s in a bad spot right here! The crowd gasps and buzzes with anticipation as Madison heads back towards the center of the ring. The capacity crond inside the Amway Center explodes with cheers when Madison delivers the End Game (electair chair dropped into a bridging German Suplex)! Macdonald slides into place to make the count. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE-NO! Fujiko just gets her shoulder up in time. Morrison places his hands on his head in disbelief. Madison looks over and sees Macdonald holding up two fingers at him. Madison tells him that it was three. But Macdonald motions with his shoulder that Fujiko got her shoulder up in time. Kris Cruise: It doesn’t get any closer than that! Fujiko was less than a second away from losing her championship! Madison picks up Fujiko and lifts her up onto his shoulders again. But before he can deliver another End Game, Fujiko delivers multiple elbow strikes across the top of the head. After slipping down in front of Madison, she doubles him over with a back kick to the midsection. She then takes Madison and whips him into the corner. Fujiko rushes over to attack when Madison ducks and dumps her over the top rope. Instead of crashing to the floor, Fujiko lands safely on the apron. But Madison rolls out of the way, causing her to crash onto the canvas! Kris Cruise: Fujiko missed! Stephy Auger: She caught nothing but the canvas after Madison rolled to safety! Kris Cruise: How much did that miss take out of her, especially this late in the match!? Madison heads over, picks up Fujiko and lifts her up for another End Game attempt. But Fujiko’s able to block the move by hitting Madison with repeated elbow strikes across the top of the head. After slipping down behind, she turns Madison around towards her and throws out a spinning back elbow strike. But Madison ducks and goes for a belly to back suplex. But Fujiko’s able to roll over his shoulder and land on her feet. When Madison turns around… Kris Cruise: LUCKY SHOT! The crowd explodes with cheers as Madison crumbles to the mat after getting hit with a Lucky Shot. Fujiko heads over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Madison gets his foot on the bottom rope . THREE! The crowd explodes with cheers when “Champion” blasts over the PA. Melanie Sierra: Here is your winner and STILL the FGA Pride Champion, FUJIKO MINE! The cheers continue as Fujiko gets handed back the Pride Championship. Fujiko raises the championship above her head before leaving the ring. She makes her way up the aisle slapping hands with the fans. Once she gets to the top of the aisle, she turns and raises the title high above her head. Kris Cruise: Fujiko Mine retains her championship here tonight. It was another hard fought match between herself and Chris Madison. But in the end, Fujiko is victorious. Of course, this isn’t the end of Fujiko’s night or even Madison’s, as both will be competing in the Gold Rush Rumble later on... Back in the ring, Macdonald can be seen walking around while Madison slowly sits up. Upon realizing that he’s lost the match, he looks over and sees the Vertigo GM. Macdonald spreads his arms out as Madison gets back to a vertical base. The former champion points at Macdonald and has words with him. Macdonald shakes his head ‘no’, telling Madison that he used up all his rope breaks. The Vertigo GM points his finger right in Madison’s face, telling him that he didn’t screw him. Madison screwed himself over. Madison slaps Macdonald's hand out of his face Before things escalate, Morrison steps in between the two and talks with Madison, telling him to forget about Macdonald and worry about the Gold Rush Rumble later on. Madison runs his hand over his head. He shakes his head at Macdonald before stepping through the ropes and exiting the ring. Macdonald continues to eye Madison while Madison and Morrison make their way up the aisle and to the back...

Once again we find Johnny Karma sat in his locker room on his own, and he’s holding the FWA Undisputed Championship belt in his hand and he silently looks at it for some time, with all manner of unheard thoughts that only he could ever know flowing through his head as he sits there
After what feels like an age Karma is snapped out of his meditation by the Skype notification shattering the silence inside the locker room, almost startling him with the unexpected suddenness of it, and after he places his belt beside him on the bench he swipes open the video chat to see a familiar face
Cherry Baum: Hey there, J-K, how’re you feeling?
Rather than answer instantly, Karma gives a moderate shrug
Johnny Karma: I’ve been better. You?
Cherry Baum: The doc thinks I’ll be good to go soon, although they won’t sign me off on when I can fly because of swelling and all that. But enough about the obvious diversionary tactic, what’s up?
Managing to suppress a sigh, Karma can’t help but sound a little down
Johnny Karma: I’m just wondering what it is about this title that turns everyone into a shtarker, either when they’re holding it or when they’re coming for whoever holds it. I mean it doesn’t sound too difficult to understand for somebody to want to prove they’re the best and showing it time and again, but what do we have instead? One sociopath after another, and the thing is they seem to enjoy being the worst that humanity can offer. I mean, is it ever going to end and I face somebody who’d rather be Sméagol instead of Gollum – and then I start to worry…
Instead of continuing with that thought, Karma leaves it hanging
Johnny Karma: So, yeah, while it felt good to put that kucker Evan Envi down the last time I faced him, the problem is he got back up to have another shot and thought what cost him the last time was he wasn’t sociopathic enough.
Karma throws his hands in the air, or at least one of them to avoid phone hurlage
Johnny Karma: Other than that things are great.
Cracking a wry smile, Karma almost appears to find a grim sense of humour in the situation – or maybe he enjoyed the beating he gave to Envi a few weeks ago more than he’s willing to let on…but Cherry doesn’t appear to see anything amusing about the situation
Cherry Baum: Do you remember what I said to you back at Grapple Kingdom? About how you were lashing out at everyone when you needed to keep your head clear and focus on proving you earned the right to hold the title you’re holding right now?
As he listens to what Cherry’s saying, nodding in agreement to where he thinks this is going, Karma can’t help but let his eyes flick in the direction of the belt that sits just inches away from him
Cherry Baum: You won the match because you focused, but now you’re focusing on the problem and not the solution. Envi’s a problem because he won’t go away, so focus on how you make that happen – and, no, beating the snot out of him after a match won’t do that.
Johnny Karma: I know that, it’s just…
Cherry Baum: I think I can guess where this is going, but it didn’t feel good. It felt cathartic at the time, and you’re getting no disagreement from me about how he deserved it, but was it worth shooting your proverbial load with a title match right around the corner?
Karma doesn’t need to answer such a rhetorical question
Cherry Baum: I know you’re still hurt by what he’s put you through, let alone what he’s put me through, but that’s just going to let him inside your head once more, and that’s what he’s wanted from the beginning. Shut him out, Johnny, and he’s got half the power that he thinks he has. Just think of the moment it dawns on him that he’s not in your head, and he’s watching his plan fall apart – because that’s the moment he’s lost, and you just have to finish him once and for all.
Karma nods in agreement with what Cherry just said
Johnny Karma: I mean when you put it like that it’s pretty simply…
Karma winks to his camera, letting him know his snark is purely light-hearted – but, more importantly, telling Cherry that’s he’s looking at something other than his naval
Johnny Karma: What was that you told me the last time? That I need to prove that the ring is mine and not Envi’s, and use that to put him in his place in the way that I should do so rather than act like some Bumfights revival?
Cherry Baum: Something like that.
Standing up, while still keeping hold of the phone, Karma has an epiphany
Johnny Karma: It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get the job done last time, but that’s the point: I got the job done, and I got it done the way I said I would. If Envi wants to double down and be worse than he was before, then that means I need to be better. If he wants to push my buttons, fine, I just push his – and the one thing guaranteed to make him back the hell off is to prove once again there’s a reason I got to where I am and he’s having to pull every dirty trick he can to try and drag me down so he’s able to climb up.
Pausing to pick the title belt off the bench, Karma places it over his shoulder
Johnny Karma: If what Envi wants is a match for the championship, it’s down to me to remind him what a champion looks like – and if that’s too much for him, that’s too much for him.
Invigorated by his lack of navel gazing, Karma is about to ring off when he’s interrupted
Cherry Baum: There’s one last thing I need to say.
With a perplexed look on his face, Karma looks back to his phone
Johnny Karma: What’s that?
Cherry Baum: Go get ‘em.

HEADLINE FGA UNDISPUTED CHAMPIONSHIP (c) Johnny Karma vs. Evan Envi The frantic opening to “Can You Feel It?” hits the PA system to a deafening boos from the audience. As purple-colored strobes flicker throughout the darkened arena, Evan Envi walks through the curtains toward the top of the ramp. He pauses, looking out among the audience with an arched brow before casually making his way toward the ring, a look of amusement crossing his face as he endures the varying reactions from the audience. He pauses just once at the bottom of the ramp, looking around the venue once more, a smirk spreading across his face. Melanie Sierra: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the FGA UNDISPUTED CHAMPIONSHIP! Introducing first, the challenger! From Ocean City, Maryland! Weighing in at 203 pounds! He is the “Chief” EVAAAAAN EEEENNNNNVIIIIII!!! Finally, as Envi walks up the steel steps and onto the apron, the lights slowly return to normal. He climbs the ropes like a staircase, raising the double “V” fingers into the air as he pauses on the top turnbuckle and then drops down into the ring, fingers still raised above his head as he marches toward the far set of ropes, looking out into the audience with a wink, muttering something to himself as his music fades and his arms lower to his side, loosening up his limbs as he backs into the corner. Geoff Penzer: We all thought Evan Envi had changed. We all wanted to believe in him. But over the last two months, we’ve seen that Envi hasn’t changed at all! He’s still the same scheming, conniving bastard that he’s always been! From aligning with Ricky Valero to his constant trolling and screwing over Chandler Scott to the games he’s played with Johnny Karma! Envi revealed that he was indeed behind Neon’s attack on Cherry Baum all along! He then had to nerve to tell Karma that he was never supposed to get Cherry back after the attack! Karma promptly lost his cool and proceeded to beat the hell out of The Chief. Tonight, he faces Karma one more time. But this time, he’s all alone. There’s no more Neon. There’s no more Camp Envi! Ricky Valero has been fired! He’s got no one to hide behind this time! There’s no one around to do his dirty work for him anymore! Envi’s going to have to man up and beat Karma by his lonesome if he wants to become Undisputed Champion! The arena lights flash in a myriad of different colours in time with John Bonham's quite remarkably epic drum intro that is filling the arena, and just as it reaches a crescendo Cherry Baum emerges at the top of the ramp, standing to one side to introduce the man they call Champion, or as the Frontier Wrestling Arts fanbase more commonly know him, Johnny Karma - at which point he walks out onto the ramp with the title draped over his shoulder, before he comes to a halt and raising the title high in the air for a moment, before entrusting the belt to Cherry as he hands it to her to place over her shoulder as they begin their walk toward the ring As he and Cherry begin to walk down the ramp, Karma unfastens the cuffs of his ring jacket while also talking some last minute preparation with Cherry as they get ever closer to the ring. Melanie Sierra: And his opponent, from Queens, New York! Weighing in at 233 pounds! He is the reigning, defending FGA Undisputed Champion… JOOOOHNNYYYYYY KAAAARRRRRMAAAAA!!! As the pair reach ringside, Karma climbs the ring steps and walks along the apron as Cherry follows him and hands him the title, at which point Karma turns to face the audience and slowly raising the title high into the air once more to let everyone know who's the champ, before he steps through the ropes that Cherry has been perched upon to climb into the ring Once inside the ring, Karma unzips his ring jacket and fixes the title around his waist before he climbs onto the nearest turnbuckle and stands there proudly with the title around his waist If it keeps on rainin', levee's goin' to break If it keeps on rainin', levee's goin' to break When The Levee Breaks I'll have no place to stay Once he climbs down from the turnbuckles, Karma crosses the ring and climbs onto the opposite turnbuckle, pulling the title from around his waist to raise it high into the air once more Mean old levee taught me to weep and moan Mean old levee taught me to weep and moan It's got what it takes to make a mountain man leave his home Oh well, oh well, oh well Climbing down once again, Karma saunters towards the centre of the ring and places the title over his shoulder once more, holding the pose before handing the title over to the referee. Geoff Penzer: Karma unleashed hell on Envi two weeks ago after Envi taunted him over the fact that he was behind the attack on Cherry all along. I know that Karma would love for nothing more than to choke the hell out of Envi. We all know he’d love for nothing more than to kick Envi’s you-know-what all over this arena. But the Championship is on the line. The Undisputed Championship, the title that he scratched and clawed his way up the mountain for nearly four years for, is on the line. Can Karma keep his cool? Can he keep his emotions in check and can he keep Envi out of his head? The crowd explodes with cheers as Karma charges across the ring and tackles Envi to the mat with a double leg takedown! Geoff Penzer: Karma’s wasting no time going right after The Chief! The bell sounds as Karma mounts him down on top of Envi and rains down right hands to the face. Envi rolls over on top of Karma and answers back with a series of punches of his own. But Karma rolls back over on top of Envi and lights him up with a flurry of right hands to the face. He then picks up Envi, marches into the corner and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. Karma then turns Envi around and delivers a series of knife edge chops that echoes throughout the arena. Envi howls in pain as he slumps down in the corner after the flurry of knife edge chops. Karma reaches down, pulls Envi back up and delivers another series of hard knife edge chops that send Envi slumping back down into the corner. But the champ isn’t done yet. He reaches down, pulls Envi back up and whacks him with blistering knife edge chops that turn Envi’s chets beat red. Geoff Penzer: Envi’s chest has turned to minced meat thanks to those hard chops from Karma! Karma takes Envi and whips him into the corner with an irish whip. He then runs across the ring and nearly takes Envi’s head off with an NYC Uppercut (running European Uppercut)! Karma takes Envi, delivers an irish whip, follows Envi over into the previous corner and sends spittel flying out of his mouth with another NYC Uppercut! After an irish whip sends Envi back into the opposite corner, Karma runs across the ring and nails Envi with another hard NYC Uppercut! He then takes Envi and sends him back into the previous corner with another irish whip. Karma grits his teeth as he charges across the ring and clobbers Envi with another NYC Uppercut, sending him slumping down in the corner. Karma steps out onto the apron. The crowd cheers and applauds Karma as he slowly scans the fans from right to left. He then turns his attention back to Envi before nailing him with a Kodak Moment (sling corner dropkick) to the face! Envi quickly grabs his nose with both hands before rolling to the outside. The production truck cuts to one of the cameras on the outside. Envi’s nose is seen busted open. Geoff Penzer: Karma has drawn blood already! This isn’t good for Evan Envi! Envi tries to take a breather on the outside on the outside. But Karma’s not about to let up. So he grabs Envi by the back of the head and slams him face-first onto the announce table. Karma pulls Envi’s head back before slamming him down hard face-first against the announce table again… and again… and again! He then turns Envi around and whacks him with another blistering knife edge chop. Envi guards his chest while he seethes. Karma then pulls Envi’s arms away from his chest before delivering another hard knife edge chop. The thud from the chop can be heard throughout the Amway Center! The Undisputed Champion then rocks Envi with a European Uppercut, sending Envi rolling across the table. Cruise, Auger and Penzer all scurry out of the way as Karma makes his way around the table. Karma goes over and puts the boots to Envi while the rabid fans in the front row cheer for more violence against The Chief. Karma reaches down, picks up Envi, scoops him up and drops him throat-fst across the top of the guardrail. Envi staggers across the ring before dropping down to a knee. Kris Cruise: Karma is a man possessed! Stephy Auger: Right!? Keep your champion under control, Penzer! He nearly took all of us out! Karma heads over and goes to pick up Envi when Envi thumbs him in the eye. The boos continue as he takes Karma, places him in a side headlock and rakes his face across the edge of the apron. He then takes Karma and goes to slam him face-first onto the steel steps. But Karma gets his hands out, blocking the mov. After elbowing Envi in the midsection, the crowd cheers when Karma grabs him and slams him face-first onto the steel steps. He then takes Envi and rolls him back inside. After Karma rolls back in, he motions to go after Envi. But he stops when he sees Envi rolling across the ring, out under the bottom rope and to the outside. The boos continue as Envi tries to take a breather on the outside. So Karma bounces against the ropes. He then runs over and connects with a baseball slide to the back, sending Envi into the guardrail! Karma rolls to the outside, grabs Envi and repeated slams him face-first against the top of the guardrail. Geoff Penzer: Cherry wanted Karma to keep his cool! Even Karma wanted to fight this match under control! But his emotions have gotten the better of him! I can’t say I blame him for letting his emotions take over! Karma takes Envi and slams him face-first onto the apron before pulling him up onto the apron. Karma doubles him over with a knee to the midsection and places him in a standing headscissors. Some of the fans get up from their seat as they know what Karma’s looking for. The crowd buzzes with anticipation as Karma’s got Envi set up for Dazed, Confused and All Messed Up (jumping piledriver) on the apron! Karma’s about to lift Envi up when Envi counters with a back body drop! The crowd boos as Karma bounces off the apron before falling to the floor. The Chief then steps back inside before staggering over into the far ropes. He checks his nose and sees that it’s still bleeding. Once Karma picks himself up on the outside, Envi bounces against the near ropes, runs across the ring, leaps through the ropes and knocks Karma down with a suicide European Uppercut! The boos continue as Envi picks up Karma and rolls him back inside. He then slides back in and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Karma kicks out. Geoff Penzer: The Chief has been able to stop Karma momentarily. But this looks like his first chance to really mount some offense in this matchup. Envi picks up Karma, marches into the corner and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Karma around, Envi sends him slumping down in the corner with a flurry of right hands to the face. From there, Envi stomps away at Karma’s chest before applying a foot choke. The ref is quick to step in and give Envi until the count of five to break the choke. Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR… Envi breaks the choke, puts his hands up and steps back… before rushing back over and applying another foot choke while pulling down on the top rope! Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! F- Envi breaks the choke. The ref warns Envi about pushing it with the count. But The Chief pays him no mind. He then looks down at Karma in the corner before slapping him across the face. Geoff Penzer: Oh come on, Envi! The boos get even louder when Envi slaps Karma across the face a second time! Envi then delivers a toe kick to the face. Envi follows up with another hard toe kick to the face. And another! And another! He then reaches down, pulls up Karma, delivers a European Uppercut and follows up with a knife edge chop. Envi turns and faces the booing crowd. The Chief turns back to Karma, delivers a European Uppercut, then a knife edge chop, then turns and “WOOOO”s at the crowd. The crowd responds with another loud boo. Envi narrows eyes his at the Orlando crowd. Envi turns back to Karma and delivers another European Uppercut, followed by a knife edge chop. Evan Envi: WOOO!!! Crowd: BOOOO!!! Envi delivers another European Uppercut, followed by a knife edge chop! Evan Envi: WOOO!!! Crowd: BOOOO!!! Envi takes Karma and goes for an irish whip. But Karma reverses, sending Envi crashing hard into the opposite corner. As Envi staggers out of the corner, Karma leans forward before throwing him down with a back body drop! Envi gets up, turns around and gets knocked down by a running clothesline. Another running clothesline from Karma knocks Envi back down! Once Envi gets back to his feet, Karma goes for an irish whip. But Envi reverses, sending him into the ropes. When Karma returns, he sees Envi setting up for a back body drop. So Karma, stops, grabs him and slowly turns around. Envi flails his arms before Karma pulls him down with the Bum Trip (shoulder neckbreaker)! The cheers continue as he makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Envi gets his shoulder up. Karma picks up Envi, throws him down with a scoop slam and follows up with a jumping knee drop to the face. Envi rolls away from Karma before covering his nose. Karma reaches over, pulls up Envi and pops him with a snapping jab before sending him back into the ropes with an irish whip. When Envi returns, Karma runs over and knocks him down with a high knee to the face. He then heads into the corner, climbs up to the ropes and delivers a second rope diving fist drop to the face. Karma makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Envi gets his shoulder up. Karma picks up Envi, hammerlocks his arms and delivers Dynamite Karma (hammerlock suplex)! Envi quickly grabs his arm. Karma then heads over, pulls Envi back up, lifts him up and delivers a hammerlock belly to back suplex! While Envi is down, Karma delivers a Garvin Stomp to each extremity before following up with repeated stomps to the shoulder! He then reaches down, picks up Envi, hammerlocks the arm, runs into the corner and throws him shoulder-first into the ring post! Karma then pulls Envi from off the ring post and applies a crossface chickenwing! Geoff Penzer: Deep Karma! Karma’s got Deep Karma locked in! The crowd cheers while Envi howls in pain. Before Karma can pull Envi from out of the corner and down to the mat, Envi reaches down with his free arm and hooks his around the top rope. The ref then goes over and gives Karma until the count of five to break the hold. Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! The ref gets in and tries to pull Karma off of Envi. While this is happening, the crowd erupts with boos when Envi low blows Karma with a mule kick. Karma releases the hold before collapsing to the mat. The Undisputed Champion curls up while he holds himself in pain The ref looks down at Karma, then back up at Envi. He asks Envi if he low blowed Karma. Envi responds by holding his index, middle and ring finger up while shaking his head ‘no’. As the ref turns and kneels down to check on Karma, Envi smirks. Geoff Penzer: Scouts honors? Envi doesn’t know anything about honor. The Chief nudges the ref out of the way before putting the boots to the champion. He then reaches down, pulls up Karma to his knees and nails him with shoot kicks to the chest. Envi steps back and throws out a buzzsaw kick to the head. But Karma ducks, gets to his feet, grabs Envi from behind, runs and tosses him over the top rope. Instead of falling to the floor, Envi hangs on by the top rope. He then slowly skins the cat. After Envi pulls himself over the top rope and back into the ring, he turns around see Karma runs at him. So Envi ducks and dumps Karma over the top rope and to the floor! He then runs over into the corner before climbing up to the top turnbuckle and crouching down. Once Karma gets up on the outside, the crowd boos when Envi stands up, flips off and knocks him down with The Classics (diving moonsault)! Geoff Penzer: Envi wipes out Karma on the outside! Envi picks up Karma, lifts him up onto his shoulders and delivers an Alabama Slam across the edge of the apron! The crowd boos as Karma crumbles to the floor. Envi picks Karma back up and rolls him back inside. He then rolls back in and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! Karma gets his shoulder up. Envi picks up Karma and whips him into the corner. He then runs into the corner, connects with a running European Uppercut and follows up with a running bulldog! The boos continue as Envi pushes Karma over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! Karma gets his shoulder up. Envi pulls up Karma, delivers an inverted atomic drop and follows him by throwing him down with a snap suplex! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! Karma gets his shoulder up. Geoff Penzer: Yet another nearfall for The Chief... Envi picks up Karma, lifts him up and throws him down with a front suplex. After Karma gets up on all fours, Envi runs over and connects with a punt kick to the ribs, knocking Karma over onto his back. He then steps out onto the apron before delivering a slingshot elbow drop! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! Karma gets his shoulder up. Envi picks up Karma, heads into the corner and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. After lifting up Karma and hanging him in the Tree of Woe, Envi delivers multiple stomps to the midsection. He then rolls to the outside. After unwrapping the wrist tape from his right wrist, Envi takes the tap, wraps it around Karma’s neck and chokes him with it while the crowd boos! He then puts his foot on the side of the ring and pulls back even more! The ref quickly rolls to the outside and gives Envi until the count of five to break the choke. Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! Envi reluctantly breaks the choke. The ref scolds Envi for his actions. But Envi pays him no mind. After rolling back inside, he reaches down, grabs Karma by the hair and slowly lifts him up… before bringing him down out of the Tree of Woe with a Lungblower! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . TH-NO! Karma gets his shoulder up. Envi picks up Karma and whips him hard into the corner. After Karma crashes sternum-first into the top turnbuckle and stumbles back, Envi grabs him from behind and brings him down with repeated straightjacket hold backbreakers! The boos continue as he makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THR-NO! Karma gets his shoulder up. Geoff Penzer: Evan Envi has taken control of this match over the last several minutes and has worked over the back of the champion! Starting with that hard Alabama Slam across the edge of the apron. It’s been all Envi since then. Envi pulls Karma up onto his knees and hits him with a shoot kick to the chest before heading into the ropes. When Envi returns, he brings Karma down with a running cutter! While Karma is face-down on the mat, Envi delivers a jumping stomp to the back before applying a Camel Clutch. The crowd boos Envi while he taunts Karma. The ref heads over and asks Karma if he wants to give up. When Karma refuses, Envi pulls back on the hold. Geoff Penzer: Envi’s got Karma dead in the center of the ring with nowhere to go. The Chief could sit here with this submission applied all day if he wanted. Karma groans while Envi keeps the hold applied. The ref asks Karma if he wants to give up. But again, the Undisputed Champion refuses. So Envi follows up with clubbing forearm uppercuts across the face before applying the Camel Clutch again! Karma has a look on anguish on his face while Envi continues to fight for the submission. The capacity crowd begins to rally behind the champion. LET’S GO, KARMA! *CLAP-CLAP, CLAP-CLAP-CLAP!*
LET’S GO, KARMA! *CLAP-CLAP, CLAP-CLAP-CLAP!*
LET’S GO, KARMA! *CLAP-CLAP, CLAP-CLAP-CLAP*
LET’S GO, KARMA! *CLAP-CLAP, CLAP-CLAP-CLAP!* The ref continues to ask Karma if he wants to give up. But he refuses every opportunity to quick. Karma begins to feed off the energy of the crowd and slowly battles back to his feet. Envi shakes his head in disbelief as Karma walks around with Envi across his back. Karma then jumps up and falls back, squashing Envi on the mat and breaking the hold! The champion then rolls off of Envi. With both grapplers down, the ref starts his count. ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! After both grapplers return to their feet, Envi throws out a right hand. But Karma blocks and counters with a punch of his own. Envi then throws out another punch. But again, Karma blocks and counters with a punch of his own. Karma then nails Envi with a jab before socking him with a right hook! Geoff Penzer: Sugar Ray Karma! Envi returns to his feet… and gets returned to the mat with another right hook! After Envi gets back up, Karma goes for an irish whip. But Envi reverses, sending him into the ropes. When Karma returns, the crowd erupts with boos when Envi knocks him down with the Kapowski Kick! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THR-NO! The crowd cheers when Karma gets his shoulder up! Geoff Penzer: Close call for the Champion after getting caught with the Kapowski Kick! Envi picks up Karma and throws him down with a belly to belly suplex. After dragging Karma into position, Envi steps out onto the apron and throws up the double “V” fingers to the crowd. The crowd erupts with boos as Envi scales to the top turnbuckle. Geoff Penzer: Envi’s going up top! He’s looking to put this one away right here and become the new Undisputed Champion! The Chief smiles before flipping off the top turnbuckle. He goes for Helter Skelter (450 Splash). The crowd then explodes with cheers when Envi crashes across Karma’s knees! Geoff Penzer: Karma blocked! He got his knees up! Envi bounces off of Karma’s knees before rolling towards the center of the ring. He then positions Envi for Dazed, Confused and All Messed Up! But Envi counters with a standing double leg takedown. He takes Karma by the leg and goes for a figure four leglock. But Karma reaches up and pulls him down into a modified small package! ONE! . . TWO! . . Envi rolls over on top of Karma. ONE! . . TWO! . . Karma shifts his weight back over on top of Envi. ONE! . . He goes to climb up to the top turnbuckle when Envi runs into the corner, grabs Karma on the top turnbuckle and heaves him over his head and across the ring with an avalanche overhead belly to belly suplex! Karma bounces off the mat before rolling out onto the apron. Geoff Penzer: What a suplex from The Chief! Envi has just silenced this capacity crowd here in Orlando! Envi turns over on all fours while Karma tries to pull himself up using the ropes. The Chief then gets to his feet, marches over, grabs the top rope with both hands, pulls back and then shoves the top rope forward, sending Karma flying off the apron and crashing back-first against the edge of the announce table! The boos continue as Karma crumbles to the floor. Geoff Penzer: Did you hear that impact!? Karma’s lower back just collided hard with the edge of this announce table! Karma might be hurt here, ladies and gentlemen! Envi rolls to the outside. After picking up Karma and slamming him face-first onto the announce table, Envi rolls him on top of the table. Kris Cruise: I think it might be time to leave again, Stephy... Stephy Auger: Absolutely... The Chief nails Karma with repeated punches to the face before choking him with both hands. He then lets go before rolling back inside. Once Envi gets to his feet, he judges the distance between the ring and the announce table. Envi’s eyes widen as he quickly grabs the top rope with both hands. The fans in the crowd immediately stand up. Geoff Penzer: No. No No No No No! Is Envi… is Envi about to do what I think he’s going to do!? Envi continues to just the distance while he psyches himself up. The Chief then springboards onto the top rope, flips off… and delivers the 450 Splash on Karma through the announce table!!! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!! HOLY SHIT!!! HOLY SHIT!!!! Geoff Penzer: HELTER SKELTER RIGHT THROUGH THE TABLE ON KARMA! UNBELIEVABLE! Envi slowly rolls off of Karma and clutches his ribs. Meanwhile, Karma lays motionless amongst the debris. After slowly picking himself back up, Envi grabs Karma by the wrist and drags him back towards the side of the ring. He then struggles to lift Karma up before shoving him back in under the bottom rope. Envi rolls back in, drags Karma towards the center of the ring and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! NO!!! The crowd gasps, then explodes with cheers when Karma gets his shoulder up! Envi runs his hands through his hair in disbelief. Geoff Penzer: Envi can’t believe it! He was sure that was it! He was sure that was enough to beat Karma! But it didn’t! He didn’t win! Karma’s not going down without a fight! Envi returns to his feet. He holds up three fingers at the ref. But the ref shakes his head ‘no’ and holds up two fingers back at him. Envi marches over into the corner and kicks the bottom rope. He then turns around and waits impatiently for Karma to return to his feet. Once Karma finally gets back to a vertical base, the crowd erupts with boos when Envi runs up from behind, delivers a single knee Lungblower and flips over into a Crossface! Geoff Penzer: THE BPA! THE BACKPACK ATTACK! The crowd boos while Karma is trapped in the submission. The ref gets down and asks Karma if he wants to give up. When he refuses to quit, Envi begins to pull back on the hold over and over. Geoff Penzer: ENVI WANTS THE SUBMISSION! HE WANTS KARMA TO TAP OUT HERE IN ORLANDO! Cherry can be seen slapping the canvas while she yells words of encouragement over to Karma. Meanwhile, Envi taunts Cherry while he keeps Karma locked in the hold. The ref continues to check in with Karma while The Chief yells at him to tap. Envi continues to pull back while Karma howls in pain. Geoff Penzer: LOOK AT THE STRESS ENVI IS APPLYING TO KARMA! LOOK AT THE PAIN HE’S GOT KARMA IN! The ref asks Karma if he wants to give up. Members of the crowd gasp when they see Karma’s hand lifting up off the mat. Envi’s eyes widen as he feverishly nods his head. Geoff Penzer: KARMA’S ABOUT TO TAP! HE’S ABOUT TO TAP! WE’RE ABOUT TO HAVE A NEW CHAMPION!!! Karma’s hand starts to fall to to slap the canvas. But he stops midway and wags his finger at the ref, refuses to quit. Geoff Penzer: NO! KARMA WON’T QUIT! HE WON’T QUIT! THE CHIEF IS BESIDE HIMSELF!!! After refusing another chance to submit, Karma begins to pull himself over towards the side of the ring. The cheers from the crowd get louder and louder as Karma continue to make progress in his trek towards the ropes. Envi shakes his head and screams “NO!” over and over as Karma continues to scratch and claw his way towards the side of the ring. Geoff Penzer: KARMA’S MAKING HIS WAY TO THE ROPES! KARMA’S MAKING HIS WAY TO THE ROPES! HE’S SCRATCHING! HE’S CLAWING! HE’S FIGHTING! HE’S FIGHTING WITH EVERY FIBER IN BIS BEING TO MAKE IT TO THOSE ROPES! GO KARMA! GO!!! Cherry continues to cheer Karma on as he continues to make his way towards the side of the ring! She waves Karma on! The fans in the crowd directly behind Cherry try to will Karma on by waving him towards the ropes! Just as Karma’s about to reach out and grab the bottom rope, Envi puts his foot on the bottom rope, kicks off and flips over, pulling Karma away from the ropes! The crowd eurpts with boos while Envi pulls back on BPA! Geoff Penzer: NOOOOO!!! The air is let out of the Amway Center as Envi keeps the hold applied! Envi taunts Karma while the ref asks him if he wants to give up. But Karma doesn’t answer. Geoff Penzer: EVAN ENVI IS FIGHTING LIKE HELL FOR THE SUBMISSION! JOHNNY KARMA IS FIGHTING LIKE HELL TO HANG ON! SOMETHING’S GOT TO GIVE, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! The ref asks Karma if he wants to give up. But again, Karma doesn't answer. So the ref raises Karma’s arm and let’s go. The arm starts to fall. But then stops halfway to an explosion of cheers! An audible “DAMMIT!” can be heard coming from The Chief. Envi shakes his head as Karma starts to power out of the hold. Once Karma gets back to a vertical base, Envi releases the crossface and delivers wild clubbing strike across the back before throwing Karma down with a Uranage! Envi then heads into the corner, scales to the top turnbuckle and flips back for The Classics. But Karma raises both legs and kicks Envi out of the air on the way down! Envi rolls over towards the ropes. He then clutches his ribs while kicking his legs. Geoff Penzer: KARMA BLOCKED! HE BLOCKED THE MOONSAULT FROM ENVI! After Envi pulls himself up using the ropes, he stumbles back towards the center of the ring. His eyes widen when Karma grabs him from behind. The crowd explodes with cheers when Karma rolls Envi out in front of him and turns him inside out with Hard Times (wristlock transitioned into a Bionic Elbow)! He makes the cover. Geoff Penzer: HARD TIMES! HARD TIMES!! HARD TIMES!!! THIS HAS TO BE IT RIGHT HERE! ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! NO!!! The crowd sighs, then boos when Envi gets his shoulder up! Karma looks over at the ref. When he sees the ref hold up two fingers, Karma places his hands over his face. Geoff Penzer: ENVI GOT HIS SHOULDER UP!? HOW IN THE WORLD DID HE GET HIS SHOULDER UP!? KARMA THOUGHT HE HAD HIM! WE ALL THOUGHT WE HAD ENVI RIGHT THERE! Karma picks up Envi an whips him into the ropes. When Envi returns, Karma lifts him up, turns and throws him down with a spinebuster! Karma heads back out onto the apron, climbs up to the top turnbuckle, jumps off and delivers From The Stars Above for a second time! Geoff Penzer: KARMA’S NOT DONE! HE WANTS MORE! Karma steps out onto the apron. The capacity crowd is at a fever pitch as Karma looks around the arena. He then climbs up onto the top rope, points up to the sky, leaps off and crashing across Envi with from The Stars Above! Geoff Penzer: FLYING ELBOW RIGHT TO THE COLD, BLACK HEART OF EVAN ENVI!!! Envi slowly turns over on all fours and slowly pulls himself towards the side of the ring. After The Chief slowly picks himself back up, he turns around and nearly gets his head knocked off with Check Your Chicklets (superkick)! The cheers continue as Envi stumbles back before falling through the ropes and landing on the floor. Geoff Penzer: DID YOU HEAR THE SOUND FROM THAT KICK!? ENVI’S LUCKY IF HE DOESN’T HAVE ANY TEETH MISSING! Envi gets up and staggers over to the timekeeper’s table, where he snatches the FGA Undisputed Championship belt. After Karma rolls to the outside, he goes over to approach Envi from behind when Envi grips the title, turns around and goes to whack Karma in the face! But Karma ducks and doubles him over with a boot to the midsection. The crowd cheers as Karma takes Envi by the back of the neck and rolls him back inside. As Envi is rolled back in, he tosses the Championship belt across the ring. Karma slides back in as the ref goes over to remove the belt. Karma pulls up Envi and positions him for dazed, Confused and All Messed Up when Envi quickly drops to his knees and nails Karma with a low blow! Geoff Penzer: NO! The crowd erupts with boos as Karma doubles over before slowly falling to the mat. Geoff Penzer: NO! NO! As the ref heads back over to the competitors, Envi pulls up Karma before planting him with The Blues (scissored nap double arm DDT)! Geoff Penzer: NO! NOT LIKE THIS! NOT LIKE THIS! NO!!! The boos continue as he makes the cover. ONE! TWO! THREE! The crowd erupts with boos when “Can You Feel It?” blares throughout the arena. Melanie Sierra: Here is your winner aaaaaand NEWWWWWWWW FGA Undisputed Champion, EVAN ENVI! The ref heads over, kneels down next to Envi and hands him the Undisputed Championship. Envi snatches the title out of the ref’s hands and hugs it. Geoff Penzer: THAT… THAT… THAT S.O.B. HAS JUST STOLEN THE UNDISPUTED CHAMPIONSHIP FROM JOHNNY KARMA! NO! DAMMIT NO! The boos continue as Envi slowly sits up. He looks around at the crowd and laughs to himself. The Chief slowly gets back to a vertical base. He then staggers across the ring before catching himself against the ropes. He then puts both of his arms over the top rope. With his left hand, he holds up the “V” fingers. With his right hand, he holds up the Undisputed Championship belt. Envi can be heard screaming, “This is for your, Ricky!”, which garners boos from the crowd. Envi then looks down at Cherry, who scowls at the sight of Envi celebrating. Envi steps out onto the apron and smiles at Cherry before raising his title above his head with both hands. The Chief exits the ring and is met with expletive-laden chants from the rowdy fans in the front row. But Envi pays them no mind. He just keeps his championship held high in the air as the scene fades out...

Kris Cruise: Alright, guys. We're just moments away from the Gold Rush Rumble. Who is your pick? Stephy Auger: Who are you thinking? Kris Cruise: I don't know. Fujiko Mine seems like a good pick. I know she was in the Pride match earlier tonight and that she has to pull double duty. But her endurance has always been strong. She's lasted 56 minutes in this match before. She's got the drive. I think she could do it. Jimmy Page is another option. I'll even through Owen Gonsalves out there as a name. Stephy Auger: ... Geoff? Geoff Penzer: Well, I know a lot of people are choosing Chandler Scott or Nolle Smith or Savannah Taylor. But me? I've got to go with Brian Stryker. He was screwed out of the Pride Championship match. Screwed out of his 15 Championship. How sweet would it be for him to turn all of his fortunes around with a win here tonight? I know he's the underdog. But I'm going with Papa Stryker. Stephy? Stephy Auger: Really? This is who you guys are picking? Really? THE ANSWER IS CLEARLY KOL! Geoff Penzer: Here we go again. Kris Cruise: Before our main event gets underway, let's take a look at the Gold Rush Rumble: By The Numbers... 162: the numbers of entrants that will have participated in every Gold Rush Rumble after tonight! 56: the record amount of minutes Fujiko Mine spent in the 2016 Rumble! 39: the average number of minutes lasted for the Rumble's Ironman. 26: this number has produced two Gold Rush Rumble winners - Cordy Stevenson in 2015 and the 2016 co-winner, Sunshine Scandalous Tony Carmine. 23: this number has also produced two Gold Rush Rumbles winners - Dom Harter in 2014 and the 2016 co-winner, Johnny Cannon. 12: the number of total eliminations by Johnny Karma, a Rumble record! 10: With the exception of one year, no one who has drawn earlier than this number has been in the final four since the Rumble expanded to a field of 30 participants. 8: the record number of eliminations set for a single Rumble by Chandler Scott in 2016. 6: the total number of Gold Rush Rumble matches, including tonight! 5: the number of Rumbles Johnny Karma has participated in. 3: the number of previous Rumble winners that didn't go on to win the Championship Match from their Rumble win. 2: the number of Gold Rush Rumbles won by Dom Harter! 1: the grappler that will leave the ring tonight with a guaranteed Undisputed Championship Match at All-Star Showdown VII!
