And now, Vertigo and Flashpoint present… The scene shifts to an outside shot of the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida! We then transition inside the arena, where red and white fireworks shoot off in various patterns. We then head to a wide shot of the arena. The camera pans around, capturing the rabid crowd. Kris Cruise: Hello everyone and welcome to ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE! I am your host, Kris Cruise and joining me as always is my colleague, Stephy Auger! Tonight, Vertigo and Flashpoint come together for this co-branded Pay Per View, which is one of FGA's signature events of the year! The green brand will be presenting to you four high quality matches here tonight. For the first of Vertigo's four matches on the card, it'll be the Reapers in Pride taking on Firing Squad in tag team action! Up next, Chris Bond, Seth Iser, Tyler Storm and Susan Kent will all do battle in a Fatal 4-Way to determine a future shot at the Pride Championship! Speaking of championships, the first of two Vertigo-branded title matches will be up next when the reigning Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion, Lowri Moss, defends her championship against the former champion, Sadie San Francisco! Then, it'll be Fujiko Mine who defends her Pride Championship against the former champion, Chris Madison! That should be a good one. Stephy Auger: Vertigo and Flashpoint will also be coming together for the Gold Rush Rumble! 15 of our guys and 15 of their guys will try to outlast one another in tonight's main event! 30 will enter, but only one will be left standing! Of course, we all know that it'll be a member of the Vertigo brand that wins tonight's Gold Rush Rumble! Geoff Penzer: ... or maybe it'll be a member of Flashpoint! Hello, wrestling fans. I am Geoff Penzer and tonight, I will be calling the Gold Rush Rumble with my colleagues Kris and Stepy, in addition to giving you the play-by-play for all of tonight's Flashpoint matches. Speaking of which, Flashpoint kicks off tonight's Pay Per View as your 2017 Tag Team of the Year, the Polychromatic Lion Attack Squad, will look to gain a measure of revenge against the Dogs of War! Then, it'll be another tag team match. This time, pitting the two best tag teams in all of FGA against each other as Smart Style defends their World Tag Team Titles against the former champs, The Chaotics! Following that, Noelle Smith will look to successfully defend her United States Championship against the always dangerous Las Vegas Siren, Savannah Taylor! Finally, in one of the most anticipated matches of the night, Johnny Karma defends his FGA Undisputed Championship against Evan Envi! Over the last several weeks, we've seen the depths that The Chief will sink to. We've seen just how low he'll go to try and get ahead. But tonight, you guys, he's all alone. Neon? Dropped in favor of Ricky Valero! Valero? Fire!? He then tried to get Neon back, but The Queen of Mean was having none of it. Standing across the ring from him will be a man that wants to beat him from pillar to post after everything he's put him through. I don't envy the spot Evan's in tonight! Kris Cruise: FGA fans, we've got a jam-packed card for you here tonight! But before we send it to the ring, let's send it backstage where Flashpoint's Amanda Johnson is standing by. Amanda, what do you got for us?

The show cuts backstage, to where the former FGA World Tag Team Champions, the Polychromatic Lion Attack Squad are walking hand in hand towards the ring. The husband and wife team of Dan Herrera and Peaches both look determined, yet calm ahead of their tag team match when they’re met by Flashpoint interviewer, Amanda Johnson.
Amanda Johnson: Dan, Peaches! Looks like you two got your wish – a tag team match against the Dogs of War tonight.
Peaches: We certainly did, Amanda. We almost thought it wasn’t gonna happen, but here we are.
Dan Herrera: Orlando, Florida–
There’s a cheap pop from the crowd in attendance, that’s audible even backstage. It’s even enough to cause Dan to pause for a moment, nodding his head in approval at the reaction.
Dan Herrera: –and one of the biggest shows of the year. We didn’t want to miss this one, Amanda.
Peaches: Especially not when we get our shot at the Dogs of War!
Amanda Johnson: That’s right. Tonight you’ll against the team of Qiang Chen and Liam Richardson III; it’d be an understatement to say they’ve been a thorn in your side over recent weeks. First costing you the match back at Grapple Kingdom–
Peaches holds up a hand to cut off Amanda.
Peaches: We all know the history, Amanda. An’ we all know the Dogs of War’s reputation – round here, an’ all round the world. Makin’ names for themselves in America, Japan, Australia.
Dan Herrera: And they’re desperate to make a name for themselves here in FGA too. Hell, Mark Storm already has that 15 Championship.
Peaches: An’ we know they’re eyein’ up those FGA World Tag Team titles. They’ve had an eye on Smart Style an’ The Chaotics since they stepped through the doors. But the question is, do they have what it takes to get that far?
Amanda Johnson: Well recently we saw you participate in singles matches against the pair. Peaches managing to beat Qiang Chen, while Liam Richardson III defeated Dan.
Dan Herrera: We remember.
Dan bows his head for a moment, while Peaches nudges him with an elbow. He’s smiling as he looks back up towards Amanda.
Amanda Johnson: Sorry. But do you think you have what it takes to avenge those losses you’ve suffered along the way?
Dan Herrera: I’ll take nothing away from Liam; he’s been impressive since he came here, and that undefeated record speaks for itself. But their mouths have been writing checks their asses can’t cash for too long now, Amanda.
Peaches: We’ve been waitin’ for this match since Grapple Kingdom when Qiang Chen stuck his nose in our business. We’ve been waitin’ for this opportunity since the Dogs of War screwed us outta our shot.
Dan Herrera: Because, deep down, we’ve also got our eye on those FGA World Tag Team titles. And a victory tonight over the Dogs of War – as good as the retribution will feel, for getting back at them for all the wrong doings – it’ll send us back up those rankings.
Peaches: Former tag champs, 2017 Tag Team of the Year, an’ after tonight we’ll be lookin’ ahead to our next shot at the champs. But before then? We’ve got some Dogs of War to bring to heel.
Dan Herrera: And maybe this time they’ll learn that Lions beat Dogs.
With that, the Polychromatic Lion Attack Squad walk off, making their way towards the ring ahead of their upcoming match.

We head backstage, to a rarely-used entrance at the side of the arena. A limo pulls up, and a driver gets out, opening the back door to reveal A.C. Smith! The crowd pops, but as it turns out, he’s not alone. Close behind him is his wife, Roxanne, who’s carrying their infant son, Robert, in her arms, and behind her are A.C.’s longtime compadres, Bobby and Stevie.
A.C. Smith: Good to be back at a big show, isn’t it?
Bobby: Gotta say, I missed it. The electricity, the feel of the place…
Stevie: You sure you’re not just smelling, um…
Right on cue, Robert starts crying, and Bobby and Stevie retreat with their hands over their noses and mouths.
Roxanne: Wimps! I’ll handle him. Sweetie, it’s okay.
A.C. Smith: Dressing room’s right over here, thankfully!
Smith swings open the door, revealing not just a few cushy chairs and a minibar, but a changing table. He and Roxanne exchange smiles.
Roxanne: Bobby, Stevie, can you wait outside for a minute?
They oblige, closing the door lightly behind them as they exit.
A.C. Smith: I’m happy you came.
Roxanne: I wouldn’t have missed it. We’re in this together, you know.
A pause as Roxanne begins changing Robert’s soiled diaper.
Roxanne: How’re you feeling?
A.C. Smith: Never better. It’s been nice to get into a rhythm, and tonight, I get to put my skills on display in a big spot. It’s everything I could’ve wanted so far. Now it’s up to me to make sure that keeps going.
Robert begins resisting Roxanne’s efforts, and A.C. walks over to calm him down.
A.C. Smith: Easy, buddy. It’s okay. Everything’s alright.
Roxanne: How are our old friends?
A.C. Smith: Logan and Evan? No change. Logan can’t be his mentor and it still bothers him. Evan’s hanging around with another older veteran from New York City.
Roxanne: Our man’s got a type.
A.C. Smith: (chuckling) Yeah, something like that.
Smith turns his attention back to the baby. When Roxanne finishes, he picks Robert up, allowing him to lean on his shoulder.
A.C. Smith: You get to see Daddy wrestle tonight! Aren’t you excited?
Robert looks at Smith with the default baby expression: A confused, wide-eyed look.
A.C. Smith: And the crowd goes indifferent.
Roxanne: I’ve been wondering something.
Roxanne walks toward her husband and son, taking turns glancing at both of them.
Roxanne: What exactly do you hope he gets out of this?
A.C. Smith: I want him to know that a good guy can still win. That there’s still genuine good in the world, stuff that people can believe in and rally behind. You’ve seen the stuff we have to worry about. If I can make things a little bit easier for him, it’ll be worth every bump and bruise I get along the way.
A.C. Smith: Who knows? Maybe I’ve still got some stuff left to accomplish, too…
Smith’s words trail off as he notices Robert has cuddled up onto his shoulder and fallen asleep.
Roxanne: I can take him. We should get to our seats. Hopefully they didn’t give you bad comp tickets!
A.C. Smith: If they did, punch somebody out and send me the video.
Roxanne smirks as A.C. hands the baby off.
A.C. Smith: Love you.
Roxanne: Love you too. Do good.
Smith gives his wife and son pecks on their respective cheeks. They exit, and Smith exhales as the door opens and closes behind them.
A.C. Smith: I’m sure as hell gonna try.

TAG TEAM MATCH Polychromatic Lion Attack Squad vs. Dogs of War Playing through the arena is Arsonist Lullabye by Hozier and the lights in the arena dim. Emerging from the back is Liam Richardson who stands at the top of the entrance ramp, his face vacant from any emotion. He looks up at the heavens, allowing jeers to echo through the arena. THE ASSASSIN! Appearing on the screen behind him are the following words which only encourage more boo's to echo through the arena but Liam doesn't care. He isn't even acknowledging the fans as he walks down the entrance ramp, his hands by his side and his eyes fixated on the four sided ring. He stops, chewing his gum and looking at the fans nearby, turning his head away from them and continuing his circle around the ring. Melanie Sierra: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, representing the Dogs of War! Weighing in at 180 pounds! He is “The Assassin” LIIIIAM RICHAARRRDSONNN THE THIIRRRRD!!! Boo's echo through the arena as Liam leaps on the apron, entering the ring and rushing to the ropes, bouncing off of them and heading to the opposite set. He then goes over to his designated corner, lowering himself as he holds onto the ropes and waits for the match to begin. “Busy Gang” by Ganja Wang begins to play throughout the arena as the lights in the arena go dim. A spotlight hits the entrance as Qiang Chen, with a bottle of Maotai, makes his way out. Holding the bottle up in the air, Qiang holds his head high as he looks down at all the fans booing him. Before heading down the ramp, Qiang takes the bottle of Maotai that’s in his hand and takes a chug of it. Melanie Sierra: And his partner, also representing the Dogs of War! Weighing in at 263 pounds! He is “The Golden Bull” QIIIAAAAANG CHENNNN!!! Making his way to the steel steps, Qiang walks up the steps but stops as he turns his head and sprays a mist of the Maotai at the fans. The fans boo as Qiang enters the ring. Taking another sip from the bottle, Qiang walks to the other side of the ring and climbs to the top rope. Looking at the crowd, Qiang sprays a mist of the liquor once again into the sea of people. The fans don’t care for this as they boo even louder. Qiang takes it all in as he places he bottle and his silk shirt underneath a turnbuckle. Geoff Penzer: We’re about to get our first match of the night underway, ladies and gentlemen. It is a tag team match that was just announced three days ago during Night Two of the 2018 Rey del Aire tournament. The infamous Dogs of War will be going up against the Polychromatic Lin Attack Squad! This isn’t the first time that both teams have been in the ring against each other. It was two months ago at Flashpoint’s “Grapple King 2” event that the Polychromatic Lion Attack Squad took on Mark Storm and Liam Richardson, as well as Terrence Tillman and Robbie Black in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match. It was at this event that Qiang Chen made his FGA debut, delivering a Tombstone Piledriver on the outside to Peaches! Ever since that night, the Squad have been looking for payback! ...Spoken... "May I remind you again, this is a dream, and in dreams, you can do anything you darn please!" When the first bass drum thumps, Dan pulls the curtain back and walks out from behind the curtain with his tag team partner Peaches hanging onto his arm. They pose for the fans, giving head nods to as many of their supporters as they can before they begin heading towards the ring as a spotlight stays on them Melanie Sierra: And their opponents, making their way to the ring at a total combined weight of 332 pounds! They are the team of Dan Herrera and Peaches, the POLYCHROMATIC LION ATTACK SQUAD!!! There's no turning back tonight. Kiss me one last time[ As Dan and Peaches make their way to the ring Dan slaps hands with the fans on one side of the entrance-way while Peaches walks down the other side slapping hands with the fans there. At the bottom of the entrance way, Peaches leans in and gives Dan a peck on the cheek as the pair climb into the ring. Peaches immediately climbs up onto the nearest turnbuckle and poses with her fists raised into the air while, on the opposite side of the ring, Dan poses in a similar manner on the other turnbuckle. The music dies down as the Polychromatic Lion Attack Squad members climb down, ready to start the match. Geoff Penzer: Not only did Peaches take a Tombstone to the floor, but Herrera also had a glass liquor bottle smashed over his head! The Squad did get some measure of payback in singles action, when Peaches toppled the much larger Chen in a match that resembled the classic David versus Goliath tale. But when it comes to tag team action, the Lion Attack Squad have the advantage. Peaches and Herrera are former FGA World Tag Team Champions, as was well as your 2017 FGA Tag Team of the Year! Can the Squad right the ship here tonight and defeat the Dogs of War? The bell sounds as Richardson charges over at both members of PLAS. But Herrera and Peaches duck and dump him over the top rope and to the floor with a back body drop! Chen then rushes over and throws out a clothesline. But PLAS duck. When Chen turns around, PLAS knock him back with a double dropkick before knocking him through the ropes and to the floor with a second dropkick! Herrera drops down to all fours as Peaches turns and heads into the far ropes. When Peaches returns, PLAS delivers Up & At Em over the top rope (Poetry in Motion), knocking down Chen on the outside to cheers from the crowd! Geoff Penzer: The Lion Attack Squad with the early advantage! The Dogs of War tried to get an early advantage. But their eagerness ended up blowing up in their faces! It’s still early, so there’s plenty of time to regroup. But this isn’t the best start for the Dogs. Peaches picks up Richardson and rolls him back inside, where he’s met with stomps to the chest. Herrera picks up Richardson, marches into the corner and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Richardson around, Herrera delivers a series of knife edge chop that echo throughout the arena. He then whips Richardson hard into the opposite corner. As Richardson staggers from out of the corner, Herrera leans forward before throwing him down with a back body drop! The cheers continue as a running lariat knocks Richardson back down to the mat. Then another. Herrera then takes Richardson by the wrist and goes for an irish whip. But Richardson reverses, sending Herrera into the ropes. When Herrera returns, he sees Richardson setting up for a back body drop. So Herrera stomps, grabs him from the side and throws him down with the Final Word (pumphandle slam)! The cheers continue as he makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Richardson kicks out. Geoff Penzer: The inexperience of the Dogs is starting to show here tonight. Thus far in his FGA tenure, Richardson has remained undefeated. But right now, he is being taken to school boy the more experienced Herrera! Herrera picks up Richardson, wrenches his arm, drags him over towards the PLAS corner and tags in Peaches. Once Peaches takes control of the arm, she delivers an arm wrench of her own. Peaches then delivers a second arm wrench, then a third. She motions for a fourth when Richardson reaches over with his free arm and rakes her across the eyes! The boos continue as Richardson returns the favor with an arm wrench of his own. Peaches then rolls forward, leans back, kips up, reverses with another arm wrench and follows up with a headscissors takedown. She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Richardson kicks out. Peaches picks up Richardson and goes for an irish whip. But he reverses, sending Peaches into the corner. He then runs over to attack when Peaches knocks him back with a back elbow to the face. She then follows up with a springboard back elbow that knocks him down! The cheers continue as she makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Richard kicks out. Peaches picks up Richardson and goes for an irish whip. But Richardson reverses, sending her into the ropes. When Peaches returns, she slides through Richardson’s legs. When Richardson turns around, Peaches doubles him over with a toe kick before bringing him down with the Overdrive! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Richardson kicks out. Peaches picks up Richardson and knocks him into the corner with a series of forearm strikes. After moving Richardson out of the way, she climbs up onto the middle ropes, grabs him and brings him down with a Tornado DDT! The cheers continue as she makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Richardson gets his shoulder up. Geoff Penzer: Yet another nearfall for Peaches! As I stated earlier, Richardson has remained undefeated. But if he doesn’t make a tag and soon? That stat will be changing here tonight, I can tell you that much, ladies and gentlemen. Peaches takes Richardson and hits him with a right hand before sending him into the corner with an irish whip. Peaches runs over, hops on top of Richardson and sends him flying out of the corner with a monkey flip! While Richardson is still down, Peaches steps through the ropes and climbs to the top turnbuckle. When Richardson gets back to his feet, Peaches knocks him down with a diving crossbody block! … but Richardson rolls through it, pulls Peaches up and hoists her up across his shoulders. Richardson then runs over towards the corner, delivers a rolling fireman’s carry, pops back up to his feet and follows up with a springboard moonsault off the second rope! The boos continue as he makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Peaches gets her shoulder up. Geoff Penzer: What a counter by Richardson! Richardson picks up Peaches, runs over into the DoW corner and slams her face-first into the top turnbuckle before tagging in Chen. Once Chen gets in, he delivers a series of shoulder thrusts to the midsection. He then hits Peaches with multiple clubbing strikes across the back. After sending Peaches into the opposite corner with an irish whip, Chen runs across the ring to attack. But Peaches knocks him back with a boot to the chin. While Chen is momentarily dazed, Peaches goes to run out of the corner and tag out to Herrera. But Chen runs over and cuts her off with a body avalanche against the ropes! The boos continue as he takes Peaches and sends her into the far ropes. As soon as Peaches hits the ropes, Richardson nails her with a shoot kick to the lower back! While Peaches staggers away from the ropes, Chen runs over and knocks her down with a big boot! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Peaches gets her shoulder up. Geoff Penzer: Some clear underhanded tactics there by the Dogs of War! The ref needs to keep his eyes peeled. The Golden Bull picks up Peaches and delivers a snap suplex! He turns over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Peaches gets her shoulder up. Chen picks up Peaches and sends her into the ropes. When Peaches returns, Chen scoops her up from the side and delivers a sidewalk slam! He hooks the near leg for the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Peaches gets her shoulder up. Geoff Penzer: Another nearfall for The Golden Bull. Chen pulls up Peaches and sends her back into the corner with an irish whip. He runs over to attack when Peaches knocks him back with a back elbow. She then turns to face the corner before going for another springboard back elbow. This time, Chen catches her in mid air and counters with a German Suplex! The crowd boos Chen while the ref slides into place to make the count. ONE! . . TWO! . . Peaches gets her shoulder up. Geoff Penzer: Good counter there from Chen! Some even better resilience from Peaches to get the shoulder up. Chen takes Peaches and whips her into the ropes. When she returns, Chen scoops her up across his shoulder before bringing her down with a running powerslam! The boos continue as he makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Peaches gets her shoulder up. Geoff Penzer: It was Richardson that was in trouble before. Now it’s Peaches that needs to desperately make the tag! Chen picks up Peaches and applies a bearhug. Herrera can be seen in the corner supporting Peaches by trying to rally the crowd behind her. He begins slapping away at the top turnbuckle pad. Soon, the crowd takes their cue from Herrera and begin stomping their feet in unison. The ref asks Peaches if she wants to give up. She shakes her head ‘no’. So Chen squeezes even tighter. Peaches cringes while Chen tries to squeeze the life out of her. The ref asks her again if she wants to give up. But Peaches refuses. She then moves Chen’s head back with one hand before nailing him with a forearm strike. She then nails Chen with another forearm strike. And another. Peaches takes her arms, brings them all the way back and whacks Chen with a bell clap to the ears! Once the hold is released, Peaches brings him down with a Lungblower! Geoff Penzer: There we go! Peaches breaks the hold and now has her opening! Can she make it to the corner and tag out to Herrera? Chen rolls away from Peaches before holding his lower back. Richardson can be seen sticking his upper body through the ropes and reaching out as far as he can for a tag. Meanwhile, Peaches slowly turns over into the prone position. Herrera keeps slapping away at the top turnbuckle while Peaches pulls herself across the mat. Geoff Penzer: Both Richardson and Herrera are looking for the tag! Who is going to get it first? Chen rolls over and tags Richardson back in! The crowd boos as “The Assassin” rushes over and tries to stop Peaches. But she dives over and tags out to Herrera! Geoff Penzer: Herrera’s back in! The crowd explodes with cheers when Herrera knocks Richardson down with a punch! Herrera then knocks him down with another punch! When Richardson returns to his feet, Herrera goes for an irish whip. But Richardson reverses, sending him into the corner. Richardson rushes into the corner to attack when Herrera blocks with a back elbow to the face! He then hoists himself up onto the middle ropes, grabs Richardson and plants him with a Tornado DDT! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Richardson gets his shoulder up. Herrera picks up Richardson and whips him into the ropes. When Richardson returns, he goes for a crossbody block. But Herrera catches him in mid air. After hoisting Richardson up across his shoulders Herrera follows up with a Samoan Drop! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Richardson gets his shoulder up. As Herrera picks up Richardson, Richardson begins to hit him with right hands to the midsection. After an irish whip into the ropes, Richardson takes Herrera and throws him down with a spinning sitout spinebuster! ONE! . . TWO! . . The crowd cheers when Herrera gets his shoulder up. Richardson picks up Herrera and lifts him up across his shoulders for another rolling fireman’s carry. But Herrera elbows him three times in the side of the head. After slipping down from behind, Herrera turns Richardson around, lifts him up onto his shoulders and throws him down with the Wit’s End (double leg slam)! Herrera then steps backwards into the corner before crouching down. Sensing what’s about to come next, members of the crowd start to stand on their feet and buzz with anticipation. Geoff Penzer: You know what’s coming next! Herrera’s looking to spear Richardson right into next week! As Richardson starts to pick himself up off the mat, Herrera starts waving him up. Once Richardson returns to his feet and turns around, Herrera runs out of the corner for a spear. But he gets blindsided by a spear from Chen! Geoff Penzer: Where did he come from!? The boos continue as Chen picks up Herrera and places him in a standing headscissors. He’s about to lift Herrera up for a powerbomb when Peaches dives off the top turnbuckle and brings him down with a diving neckbreaker! Geoff Penzer: Peaches with the save! When Peaches gets back to her feet and turns around, Richardson delivers a lariat that turns her inside out! The boos continue as he takes Peaches and tosses her through the ropes and to the floor. Geoff Penzer: What a lariat that was from Richardson! Now Peaches has been tossed to the outside! This can’t be good... When Richardson turns around, Herrera knocks him down with a discus forearm strike! He then picks up Richardson, moves him into the corner and sits him down on the top turnbuckle. Herrera goes to lift him up for the Walking Papers (brainbuster) when Chen delivers a clubbing strike across the back! He then brings Herrera from out of the corner and whips him into the ropes. When Herrera returns, the crowd cheers when he brings Chen down with a spear! Geoff Penzer: SPEAR! Spear from Dan Herrera! He spears The Golden Bull! As Herrera turns to face the corner, Richardson leaps off the top turnbuckle and knocks him down with a shotgun dropkick to the face! The boos continue as he pulls Herrera up, lifts him up and brings him down with Four Our Majesty (modified brainbuster)! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! The crowd boos when “Arsonist Lullabye” hits the speakers. Melanie Sierra: Here are your winners, the DOGS OF WAR! Richardson and Chen roll to the outside. The boos continue as they get their arms raised. Geoff Penzer: Tough loss there for the Polychromatic Lion Attack Squad! I know they really wanted some payback after what the Dogs of War have done. But Richardson and Chen were able to slip away with a victory. The Squad will be back on top. They’re too talented of a team not to be. But unfortunately for them and their fans, tonight as not their night. The Dogs of War pick up the W to kick off Only the Strong Survive...

Earlier this evening… The Vice President of RIP, Joey Perello, is seen standing in the parking lot of the Amway Center with sweat pouring down his face. Reaching into the back pocket of his jeans, Perello pulls out an all black bandana and dabs it against his forehead to wipe away the sweat, his focus entirely on the entrance of the parking lot. Joey Perello: Sonsabitches… Perello checks the time on his phone and sees that there’s only about a half hour before the start of the show, and his tag team partner is nowhere to be seen. Joey Perello: Where is he? Hearing footsteps coming up behind him, Perello spins around and throws his fists up in a fighting stance to be prepared, but cools down once he sees that it’s only Spencer Burke. Joey Perello: Are you kidding me, Spencer? Have you not learned anything since my arrival here? Perello shakes his head as he steps toward the shook Burke. Joey Perello: Never sneak up on me. I can’t be held responsible for what happens the next time you do so. Hearing the sound of a vehicle, Perello turns back toward the parking lot entrance believing that Ryder has finally arrived. Instead, he sees an older Jeep Grand Cherokee and scoffs before turning back to Spencer. Joey Perello: We’ve also had one too many conversations, Spencer. People will start believing we’re friends soon. Hell, that may start to think that you’re an honorary RIP member. Would you like to become an honorary member of RIP, Spencer? Surprised by the question, a flustered Spencer Burke tries to gather his thoughts before shining off a massive shit-eating grin. Spencer Burke: Well...yeah! Sure! I’d love to become an honorary member of RIP! Perello squints his eyes and sarcastically chuckles as he pats Spencer on the back. Joey Perello: ...That wasn’t an offer, boss. It was a rhetorical question. Of course you’d like to be an honorary member of the one true biker CLUB in this country. Everyone would. However, we don’t accept random scum off the street such as yourself and the rest of the scum here in Orlando. That includes the fans and every single person on this roster. Pausing, Perello looks toward the entrance of the parking lot once again but immediately turns his attention back to Burke. Joey Perello: What the hell do you want anyway? Spencer Burke: Well… Burke swallows down a hard gulp. Spencer Burke: I was wondering if I could get your thoughts on your match with The Firing Squad here tonight. Joey Perello: My thoughts, huh? Perello grins. Joey Perello: There isn’t much to it, Burke. It only comes down to one thing and one thing only. People need to learn how to mind their own business and not stick their noses where they don’t belong. That’s all that thi--- Stopping, Perello remembers something and holds his right index finger up toward Burke. Joey Perello: Actually, since you want some gossip, I will give you some gossip. A few months back, my dear friend Owen Gonsalves of Shootcamp confused my wife with Ymir. He thought that my wife - the most beautiful woman on this planet - was a cockroach by the name Ymir. Since then, my wife has done a number of different things to change her look, but the most significant thing…? Perello bites down on the inside of his cheek and shakes his head in frustration. Joey Perello: She dyed her hair...blonde. Blonde, Spencer. You do know what they say about blondes, correct? Spencer goes to reply, but Perello brings the microphone back toward his own face and cuts him off. Joey Perello: They say a lot of things, Burke. One could say that this is more Owen’s fault than it is Ymir’s, but I view it differently. If Ymir did not have a similar display photo on the Twitter application, my wife would never feel the need to dye her hair. Obviously trolling, Perello tries to hold back a laugh as he takes a quick glance at the parking lot entrance. Joey Perello: Ymir has affected my life in more ways than one, and tonight? Ryder and I make sure that she can never do so again. Perello continues on, but the attention goes to Ryder McKnight who sneaks up behind Perello and gestures for Spencer to stay quiet. Joey Perello: --- Luke Jackson may have the most punchable face in all of mankind, and I… Noticing that Spencer’s eyes were no longer staring at him, Perello spins around and throws his fists up in a fighting stance once again. He immediately brings them down and releases a sigh of relief once he sees that it’s only his tag team partner. Joey Perello: What the hell? Why is everyone sneaking up on me this evening? Ryder shrugs nonchalantly and places his right hand on the VP’s shoulder. Ryder McKnight: Not important, VP. I have some news… The evilest of smirks appears on Ryder’s face as he and Perello begin to walk away, leaving Spencer Burke alone in the parking lot.

TAG TEAM MATCH Reapers in Pride vs. Firing Squad J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the following tag team contest is scheduled for ONE fall! Introducing first, making their way to the ring at a total combined weight of 320 pounds! They are the team of Luke Jackson and Ymir Ocampos… FIIIIIIRIIIING SQUUUAAAAD!!! Kris Cruise: Thank you once again for joining us tonight live right here on Pay Per View. Out colleague, Geoff Penzer, just got done calling the opening contest which featured a Flashpoint tag team match. But right now, we’re about to have a tag team match of our own, Vertigo style! And it pits the Reapers in Pride against this team, Firing Squad! Firing Squad are one of the hot, young, up and coming teams here in all of FGA! But as of late, they’ve found themselves on the wrong side of the Reapers. Stephy Auger: Why is that, you ask? Because Ymir Ocampos can’t seem to keep her nose out of other peoples’ business. We all saw this a couple of months back when she got into repeated verbal spats with Brookford. Now, she’s crossing the Reapers in Pride. Cruise, if there is one thing you don’t do, it’s cross RIP. Here I Stand Helpless and left for dead The lights in the arena go completely out as Dance With The Devil by. Breaking Benjamin hits the PA System. As the base kicks in the lights begin to flash silver, white and black as if they were strobe lights surrounding the arena. Close your eyes So many days go by Easy to find what's wrong Harder to find what's right The camera then pans towards the crowd as Joseph Perello & Ryder McKnight are seen standing at the top of a stairways on opposite sides of the arena of each other looking out to the fans. They begin make to slowly make their ways down the stairs. I believe in you, I can show you That I can see right through all your empty lies I won't stay long in this world so wrong As fans reach out to try and touch the men they pull their arms away and pushes the fans away. Ryder threaten the fans that tried and reach out. After being separated from the fans by security they continue down the stairs to the barricade. J.A. Aldridge: And their opponents, making their way to the ring at a total combined weight of 450 pounds! They are the team of Joey Perello and Ryder McKnight… REEEEAPERRRRSSSSS IIIIIN PRIIIIIIIDE!!! They stop looking around the arena and towards the ring then hop over the barricade. The two men then into the ring and steps into the center of the ring walking around as if they owned the joint. They look over to the announcers desk giving them a hard cold stare before turning away from them setting their eyes towards the crowd. Kris Cruise: I agree that if there is one team you don’t want to cross, it’s the Reapers in Pride! Ryder McKnight had some choice words for Ocampos a few months back and vice versa. That then lead to Ocampos providing some costly interference in the Reapers’ match against Pride Champion Fujiko Mine and Chris Madison. Up until that point, RIP had a spotless record. But not after that night. That ‘one’ that’s in the loss column came as a result of losing that match. But many would say that Ocampos played a hand in the losing outcome. Of course, that didn’t sit very well with RIP. Stephy Auger: As it shouldn’t! Now as of late, Firing Squad haven’t said much on the matter. Luke Jackson is running around taking shirtless selfies while Ymir has been as quiet as a mouse. But that doesn’t matter. They’ve already crossed RIP and when you cross a team like Joey Perello and Ryder McKnight, there’s no turning back. If the friends and family of Ocampos and Jacksn are out there watching tonight… if you love these two? Then pray for them because they are going to need it! The bell sounds as RIP try to jump Firing Squad from behind with a pair of clotheslines! Kris Cruise: RIP are quick to attack! But Ymir Ocampos and Luke Jackson duck. Joey Perello and Ryder McKnight’s momentum then takes them into the ropes. When they come back, Firing Squad go for a hip toss. But RIP block it. So Firing Squad try to muscle them up for another hip toss. But again, RIP block it. So they double both members of RIP over with a punch to the midsection. After draping a leg across the back of their necks, Firing Squad execute a backflip. As soon as they land on their feet, Perello takes Ocampos by the hair, McKnight takes Jackson by the hair and throw them down with a mat slam! The crowd erupts with boos. Stephy Auger: It looked like RIP wanted to throw them THROUGH the ring! The boos continue as McKnight picks up Jackson, runs across the ring and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. Jackson stumbles back before collapsing to the floor. McKnight marches over to The Kid and puts boots to the chest. He then mounts himself on top of Jackson and unleashes a flurry of rights and lefts. Meanwhile, Perello flings Ocampos into the corner. He then unleashes a ballistic combination of rights and lefts to the body before sending Ocampos slumping down in the corner with an uppercut. Perello then puts the boots to Ocampos before applying a foot choke. The ref is quick to step in and give him until the count of five to break the choke. Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR… Perello reluctantly breaks the hold. Across the ring, McKnight is nearly driving the air out of Jackson with multiple shoulder thrusts in the corner. After Perello pulls up Ocampos by the hair, RIP look to irish whip Firing Squad into each other. But Jackson and Ocampos reverse, sending RIP colliding in the center of the ring! As RIP stumbles back, Jackson brings McKnight down with a reverses DDT while Ocampos hops onto Perello’s shoulders, spins around and brings him down with a hurricanrana! Firing Squad then rush over and connect with a double dropkick, knocking Perello through the ropes and to the floor! They then head over, pick up McKnight and send him into the ropes. When he returns, Firing Squad brings him down with a double flapjack! McKnight then rolls to the outside. While Perello and McKnight are on opposite sides of the ring, Firing Squad look at each other and nod before running into the far ropes. When they come back, they run past each other towards the opposite side of ropes. The crowd explodes with cheers when Jackson leaps through the ropes and knocks McKnight down with a suicide dive while Ocampos brings Perello down with a slingshot hurricanrana! Kris Cruise: Firing Squad have taken out RIP on the outside! Listen to this capacity crowd, Stephy! Firing Squad has got ‘em on their feet! Stephy Auger: Getting the crowd to cheer won’t win them this match, Cruise! Firing Squad roll back into the ring from opposite sides. They then run into opposite corners before climbing up to the top turnbuckles. When Perello and McKnight get back up on the outside, the crowd explodes with cheers when Jackson flips off and knocks Perello down with a moonsault while Ocampos flips off and knocks McKnight down with a moonsault of her own! Kris Cruise: Firing Squad wipe out RIP again! The speed, agility and athleticism of Ocampos & Jackson have got them control of this contest! Stephy Auger: It’s still early. It’s still early! Ocampos picks up McKnight and struggles to roll him back inside. She then rolls back in and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . McKnight kicks out. Ocampos wrenches his arm, pulls him over towards the Firing Squad corner and tags in Jackson. Once Jackson gets in, he takes control of the arm, wrenches it and tags Ocampos back in. Once she gets in, she moves McKnight into the corner before delivering shoot kicks to the chest. After an irish whip sends McKnight into the opposite corner, Ocampos runs across the ring to attack. McKnight then ducks and dumps Ocampos over the top rope. As soon as Ocampos lands safely on the apron, Perello grabs her by the ankles and yanks her off hard. The crowd boos when Ocampos smacks her face hard against the edge of the apron on the way down! Kris Cruise: My goodness! Stephy Auger: Well, she won’t look any uglier than she does now! Kris Cruise: Oh stop it, Stephy! McKnight steps out onto the apron before hopping down to the floor. RIP then pick up Ocampos before chucking her hard against the guardrail! The duo put the boots to Ocampos before McKnight yanks her up by the hair and rolls her back inside. He then slides back in and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Ocampos gets her shoulder up. McKnight heads over and tags in Perello. Once Perello gets in, he blasts Ocampos with a right hook, knocking her down. Perello reaches down, pulls Ocampos up by the hair and doubles her over with a right hand to the midsection. The VP of RIP takes a few steps back before running over and bringing her down with a swinging neckbreaker. The boos continue as he makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Ocampos gets her shoulder up. Perello tags McKnight back in. RIP then takes Ocampos and whips her into the ropes. When she returns, they deliver a double pop-up flapjack! The boos continue while McKnight pulls her over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Ocampos gets her shoulder up. McKnight tags Perello back in. Perello pulls Ocampos up, places her in an inverted front facelock and delivers a reverse suplex! He then slowly pulls Ocampos back up, lifts her upside down and plants her with a cradle piledriver! The boos contiue as he makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! The crowd cheers when Jackson dives over and breaks up the pin. Kris Cruise: Good save there by Jackson! Stephy Auger: Why? He’s just prolonging the inevitable! Play did and live to fight another day. As Jackson goes to head back out to the apron, Perello runs up from behind and delivers a shove to the back, sending him through the ropes and to the floor! He then marches back across the ring and tags McKnight back in. While Perello pulls up Ocampos and holds her in place, McKnight heads into the ropes. When he comes back, the crowd boos when they deliver the East Side Clap (bearhug/jumping hook kick combo)! McKnight makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! The crowd cheers when Ocampos gets her shoulder up. Kris Cruise: Ocampos still has some fight left in her! Stephy Auger: Oh really? Give RIP about five more minutes and see if you can say that again. McKnight sits up Ocampos and applies a neck crank. The ref asks her if she wants to give up. When she refuses, McKnight lets go and delivers a falling forearm strike to the back. He then applies a rear chinlock. The ref aks Ocampos if she wants to give up. When she refuses, McKnight transitions into a fish hook and tries to rip her mouth apart. The crowd boos while McKnight’s got the illegal hold applied. Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR… McKnight reluctantly lets go. He then picks up Ocampos and lifts her up across his shoulders for a fireman’s carry spinebuster. But Ocampos blocks with multiple elbows to the side of the head. After slipping down from behind, she turns McKnight around and delivers a roundhouse kick using the right leg. She then connects with a roundhouse kick using the left leg before following up with a rolling koppu kick. While McKnight is dazed, Ocampos turns and runs into the ropes. When she returns, McKnight throws out a punch. But Ocampos ducks and runs into the ropes. When she comes back, the crowd cheers when she brings him down with a rolling Yoshi Tonic! Kris Cruise: Ocampos has him down! This could be it right here! ONE! . . TWO! . . McKnight kicks out! After both grapplers return to their feet, the crowd boos when McKnight doubles Ocampos over with a kick to the midsection. He then lifts her up for a powerbomb. But Ocampos counters with a hurricanrana! She then rolls forward, dives over and tags Jackson back in! Once McKnight returns to his feet and turns around, Jackson connects with a springboard missile dropkick! McKnight stumbles back before falling to the mat. He then rolls over and tags Perello back in. Once Perello gets in, Jackson runs over, jumps and throws out a Superman Punch. But Perello ducks, catches Jackson, runs and and rams him back-first into the turnbuckles! After stepping back towards the center of the ring, Perello charges back into the corner to attack. But Jackson knocks him back with a boot to the face before running out of the corner and knocking him down with a Superman Punch! The cheers continue as he makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . McKnight drags Jackson off of Perello. The crowd boos as McKnight puts the boots to Jackson’s back. The boos the turn to cheers when Ocampos gets in, runs over, jumps on McKnight’s back and places him in a sleeper hold! Perello then yanks Ocampos down off of McKnight’s back and whips her into the ropes. Instead of coming back, Ocampos hangs onto the ropes. As Perello runs over to attack, Ocampos pulls down the top rope, sending him tumbling to the floor! Back inside, McKnight runs over and throws out a lariat. But Ocampos rolls underneath it. When McKnight turns around, Firing Squad knock him through the ropes and to the floor with a double dropkick! As RIP slowly pick themselves up on the outside, Firing Squad turn and run into the far ropes. When they come back, the crowd cheers as they both go for a somersault plancha. But RIP catches them in mid air! Stephy Auger: Uh oh… Kris Cruise: Oh my God… Oh my God! McKnight then runs forward before powerbomb across the edge of the apron to Jackson! Meanwhile, Perello turns and throws Ocampos down hard with a powerbomb on the floor! The crowd erupts with boos! Stephy Auger: It’s over, Cruise! It’s over! RIP take Jackson and rolls him back inside. After sliding back in, Perello gives Jackson the finger gun taunt before clobbering him with a rolling elbow to the back of the head! McKnight then reaches down, pulls up Jackson and lifts him up onto his shoulder. Perello then turns and heads into the ropes. When he comes back, the crowd boos when RIP deliver Reaped (powerbomb/jumping neckbreaker combo)! Perello makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! The crowd boos when “Dance With the Devil” blares throughout the arena. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winners of this bout, REEEEEAPERS IIIIN PRIIIIIDE! The boos continue while RIP get their hands raised in victory. Kris Cruise: Firing Squad put up one hel- Stephy Auger: No, no, no! You’re not about this do this. You’re not about to give Firing Squad a pat on the back for “putting up a good fight” and “showing fire” and all that nonsense! They messed with the wrong team and tonight, the Reapers in Pride made them pay. Dearly! End of story.

Susan Kent is stretching inside her locker room, and as usual, Kendra Hollis is talking on her phone. Kendra yells at whoever is on the other end of the phone.
Kendra Hollis: The nerve of the guy, I put a down payment on a new Ferrari, and some asshole at the dealership sold it, I’m done dealing with that dealership, and they wanted you to be in an ad, but I could them right where to go on that.
Susan can’t help herself and cracks a smile.
Kendra Hollis: This isn’t funny Susan, I wanted that new Ferrari!
Susan Kent: You can always buy another one.
Kendra Hollis: You know Susan, your right I can buy another one. Now onto the real matter. Are you ready for this match tonight?
Susan Kent: Of course I’m ready.
Kendra Hollis: This is the biggest match of your career, and you're facing the same people you faced in tag match. Did you watch the videos Dana gave you?
Susan Kent: I didn’t get to them, I went to the beach with Gina and Becky. Becky got hit on by one of the lifeguards, then Carter and I went to a baseball game, and did private boyfriend, girlfriend stuff...
Kendra Hollis: How are you supposed to get ready for your match, those videos were supposed to help you prepare!
In a rare moment, Susan showed some anger.
Susan Kent: That’s you and Dana expect me to do watch videos, and not get any bumps bruises or cuts the would affect me getting photo shoots or acting roles, I chose to do something I rarely get to do spend time with my friends, sometimes I should get to have a life of my own!
The Awkward silence is broken up by Jessie Pederson.
Jessie Pederson: Is this a good time?
Susan Kent: Sure come in.
Jessie Pederson: So big match for you tonight, a four-way match with a future Pride Title shot on the line, on the last Vertigo you teamed with Tyler Storm in a losing effort against Chris Bond and Seth Isner. After Vincent Moretti struck you with his crutch, how have you prepared for this and more specifically for the potential interference of Vincent Moretti and The Crimson Baroness?
Susan Kent: Well.
Before Susan can finish Kendra cuts in.
Kendra Hollis: I answer this Susan, for the match she is ready. Dana made sure of that. As for Moretti and TCB? I’ve been trying to get a manager’s license since Vertigo went off the air, and as of yet I haven’t been able to get one.
Jessie Pederson: So you would go out to ringside with Susan?
Kendra Hollis: Are you kidding me, of course not! I’m not a wrestler or a fighter I’m strictly an agent. And besides, I wouldn’t want to risk ruining my thousand dollar manicure. I would have hired some wrestler to go out there with Susan.
Jessie Pederson: Okay, so what’s the plan to deal with Vincent Moretti and TCB?
I’ll answer that.
Dana steps into the locker room.
Dana: I’ll deal with Vincent Moretti and TCB.
Dana reaches into her pocket and pulls out a piece of paper unfolds it and shows it to Kendra who cracks a cocky grin. Dana then shows the piece of paper to Jessie.
Dana: What this is Jessie is a temporary manager’s license, for tonight’s event only. I haven’t seconded a wrestler in a while, but tonight I’m Susan’s backup and believe me, Jessie, I’m quite capable of handling Vincent Moretti and TCB to make sure Susan’s match gets a fair outcome.
Jessie Pederson: If you don’t mind me asking Dana, what are your credentials?
Dana: Thirty years experience in the wrestling business, 20 years kickboxing and boxing, I’ve seen it all and done it all, and I’ve forgotten more tricks than most people know, and I’m still an active wrestler, how’s that for credentials Jessie.
Jessie Pederson: Impressive, so Susan with your trainer out there with you tonight do you feel confident about your chances tonight?
Susan Kent: Yeah, but its still gonna be a tough match, and its every person for themselves out there, but I feel confident that I can win, and hopefully I walk out the winner and get the opportunity to face the Pride Champion in the future.
Jessie Pederson: Well I think we're out of time, so good luck tonight Susan.
Susan Kent: Thanks.

With the Fatal 4-Way match just moments away, the scene cuts back to a smiling Spencer Burke as he looks to the camera and nods.
Spencer Burke: A big opportunity is coming up next for 4 of Vertigo's top rising competitors and my guest at this time will be one of those 4 fighting for a potential future opportunity at the Pride Championship. Please welcome, Tyler Storm!
Tyler walks himself next to Spencer and pats him on the back as he looks ready to go for what's just about to come in the next few minutes.
Tyler Storm: Man oh man, Spencer, you are looking sharp tonight! And Tyler Storm is feeling fresh, feeling strong, feeling hyped up...tonight is going to be something really special for the FGA fans in attendance tonight and for all you wonderful people watching at home!
Spencer Burke: Without a doubt, Tyler, and as stated you are going to be competing up next in this big four man match for a future title opportunity that will be fought over later tonight between current champion Fujiko Mine and former champion Chris Madison. Not only that but you are actually going to be pulling double duty tonight as in our main event, you will be competing alongside 29 other Vertigo and Flashpoint athletes in the Gold Rush Rumble. I know you shared a few of those thoughts on Afterburn after the last Vertigo, but do you mind elaborating on how you are feeling now that the night has arrived.
Tyler Storm: Nice plug there, Spence...I like that, and of course people should watch Afterburn to hear these thoughts and what not, which you can see after every FGA show exclusively on AxxessNet!
Doing an awkward wink to the camera, Tyler shakes his head just laughing at himself.
Tyler Storm: This is why I'm not a big marketing guy. But I'm still excited about everything that will be happening tonight during Only The Strong Survive, after all we did just see an incredible opening match between the Reapers of Pride and Firing Squad, and the talent these two rosters have is always great to see. Now of course, personally I am more on the side of the boys and girls from Vertigo being able to steal the show and this is an incredible opportunity for our brand to do just that. I mean, you are moments from getting as you said, 4 of Vertigo's top rising talents, and even in the case of Chris Bond someone that has been right there at the top. The opportunity to compete alongside someone of his success already in this company, to compete against a great young talent like Susan Kent who has high potential, to go one more round with a multi-year veteran in this business who is still finding success wherever he steps in a ring like Seth Iser...who could ask for a better match to just look at it and say "this is why I love wrestling."
He smiles brightly to his last statement and roughly grips to Spencer's shoulder, who winces a bit.
Tyler Storm: I got into this business with a goal that no matter who I step in the ring with, I'm gonna create something fun, I'm gonna create something worth people's attention, I'm gonna help push a narrative of great competition. All of that with an obvious goal for any wrestler, to win, to advance your name, to advance your brand, to seize the opportunities placed in front of you. Tonight is opportunities personified for the Vertigo brand, opportunities personified for the Flashpoint brand, but to be personal here it is opportunities personified for Tyler Storm. I have worked my ass off day in and day out to fight my way back into the business after everything that went against me physically and mentally in my last stint, I worked my ass off once I got back to prove I can hang with any man or woman in this company and outside this company, to prove I am still going to be one of the best talents I know I can be. I worked my ass off to earn the chance to compete here tonight not once, but twice, to have two times the chance to walk out of here and step up to a champion and say their time with the gold is going to run thin. Spencer, I'm excited tonight because Tyler Storm is going to finally say more than just win or lose...I'm going to put my all into this moment that is Only The Strong Survive, and I intend to walk out a winner with my head held high and knowing I did it the Tyler Storm way!
Spencer Burke: A big promise from you on that end Tyler. None of this will be making you overlook any of your competitors tonight, right?
Tyler Storm: Oh of course not. Like I started off with talking about these guys, Chris has succeeded in this company in so many ways already and he knows how to use his tools around him better than most in this business. Susan has untapped potential that we are finally going to see tonight and it's gonna be the toughest fight in the world to break down the fire she really has, no matter if people just see her as a person who wants to be friends with everyone. And with Seth, I've been in the ring with him and I still know I have not seen everything he can give, I know he is one of the top veterans wrestling today, and I respect the guy for running this long doing everything he has done...and still being top tier.
It’s almost as if the moment he elaborated talking about Iser a little more is the moment Iser has walked into the view dressed in a purple and black variant of his ring attire standing on the opposite side of Spencer as Tyler is but he doesn’t have any aggression in his body language at all. Just an air of authority. He eyeballs Tyler briefly before he turns his head to Spencer for a brief moment.
Seth Iser: Leave, Spencer.
Spencer blinks at the request, not fully digesting it right away and it’s at this point where Iser just narrows his eyes and projects more intimidation.
Seth Iser: Boy. Leave.
It’s that more forceful version of the request that gets Spencer to leave before Iser ends up snatching the microphone in one smooth motion with his right hand. At this point he just eyeballs Tyler not fully giving a tell with his facial expression.
Seth Iser: I’m on your time so I’ll keep it brief. This whole thing regardless of us both having to qualify for it...it started between the two of us. Think of how everything shaped up along the way what you will but it truly started between you and I. If there’s any justice in this earth...Susan Kent’s potential will have to be realized another day and she gets her ass kicked...and Chris Bond...well if I really had my way I’d tear him up from the bone and put my foot up his ass for his entitlement and picking that fight with someone not in this match earlier.
Iser’s word choice does warrant boos from the audience with how aggressive he’s being but he’s obviously unable to hear it at all. He’s just focused on Tyler.
Seth Iser: To bottom line it...it started between the two of us. By all means if there’s justice in this world...it really should end between the two of us.
Tyler can’t help but continue giving a happy expression as he steps up to Iser and keeps his smile shining.
Tyler Storm: It’s been some story between you and I thus far, Iser. One where I think we both surprised one another...guess I don’t blame you for finding it fitting that this all comes down to you and me here tonight. But answer me this Seth...answer me this simple thought...how much of this is about what happened at A New Odyssey?
Iser just merely crosses his arms as he hears the question. He’s not even angry or losing his patience.
Seth Iser: Quite a bit. Not so much personal but business. Name me a wrestler who doesn’t want to pull ahead in any series between themselves and another competitor. You and Moretti have your issues...me? I’m not thinking about that right this minute considering the stakes. No room for that or I’d be making too big of a mistake and we both know that. Other than perhaps pulling ahead...this is purely business. Just anything personal that can be thought about after the fact is a bonus. But let’s be honest. Deep down there’s a part of both of us that would want it to come down between the two of us to settle who is better. Especially with the stakes the way they are.
Iser then just closes his eyes and there’s a faint smirk creeping onto his face before that fades quickly.
Seth Iser: Regardless. I’ve said what I’ve needed to. No need to dawdle further. Think about what I’ve said and interpret what I’m saying however you want. I’ll see you in the ring.
Tyler looks at Seth and his expression does fade slightly to a more serious but competitive smirk of his own as he nods to Iser.
Tyler Storm: I expect nothing but your best, don’t forget that. Just know this...after what happens up next, I think we’d better both hope that Rumble keeps us apart. Because this chapter may be one that steals the show. Would be a little unfair if we did it twice, after all.
Iser frowns the moment Tyler says the words ‘steal the show’ for a minute and that scowl just stays on his face.
Seth Iser: We’ll cross that Rumble bridge when we get there. I have a different plan for that. As for the fatal fourway...not doorway Vincent…
Iser sneers at the camera when he mentions his manager for a brief moment.
Seth Iser: Let the wheels of fate decide what happens between us I suppose. But I’m going in there to win and worry about the consequences later. Whatever it takes.
Iser’s voice goes dark when he says those last three words and with that he just walks off the set after saying his piece but keeping an eye on Tyler throughout just in case he might get jumped. Tyler stands there just nodding to himself, no one further to talk to.
Tyler Storm: Whatever it takes...we’ll see how well those words hold true then I guess.
Tyler leans down and grabs up the microphone Iser placed down before walking off, turning to the camera and smirking.
Tyler Storm: Back to y’all at ringside for fatal doorway...fourway...four person match!
He tosses the mic in the air and makes a b-line run out of view and the scene cuts away.

FATAL 4-WAY Winner receives a future Pride Championship Match Susan Kent vs. Tyler Storm vs. Chris Bond vs. Seth Iser J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a Fatal 4-Way! The first grappler to achieve a pinfall or submission will win the match, as well as a future Pride Championship Match! Kris Cruise: Here we go, Stephy! A huge opportunity is at hand for these four grapplers. One of them is going to be walking out of here with a guaranteed title match against the winner of tonight’s Pride Championship match! The lights dim down as the music begins to play. Soon enough, Seth Iser slowly walks through the curtain with that familiar scowl on his face. He absorbs the reaction he gets from the crowd as he slowly walks down to the ring. J.A. Aldridge: Introducing participant number one! Being accompanied to the ring by his manager, Vincent Moretti! Weighing in at 245 pounds… SEEEEETH IIIIIISERRR!!! He then rolls underneath the bottom rope and performs a crucifix pose in the center of the ring which brings the lights back on. He then slinks to the corner in a seated position to await the bell. Kris Cruise: Seth Iser presents a problem to anyone he steps into the ring with. But what makes things worse is the presence of Vincent Moretti. Even in a wheelchair, Moretti still finds a way to make his presence felt! Stephy Auger: Mr. Moretti goes above and beyond for his client. If only we could all have someone like him in our corner! "If you take a life, do you know what you'll give... Odds are, you won't like what it is... When the storm arrives, would you be seen with me... By the merciless eyes I've deceived... I've seen angels fall from blinding heights... But you yourself are nothing so divine... Just next in line..."The house lights dim in the smaller facility, and New Murder-colored lights soon flicker throughout the filled-to-the-brim center. The crowd jumps to its feet, blowing the roof off from the much smaller arena as Chris Bond makes his way out from behind the curtains. As he emerges from behind the curtain, there is a large burst of resentment from the crowd. With a spotlight lighting his way, Bond, accompanied by the villainess Crimson Baroness, makes his way down the aisle and towards the ring, even slapping away a few hands along the way. Soon enough he jogs up the stairs, and walks along the ring apron before wiping his feet. More boos reign down upon him as he stops and sneers at the crowd. Bond points to his shirt and smirks, before brushing off the jeers from the crowd. He presses his leg between the bottom and middle rope to make room for TCB to enter the ring. Upon her entrance into the ring, the crowd erupts into another chorus of booing! Bond shouts a few words of profanity before he too steps into the squared circle. J.A. Aldridge: And his opponent, being accompanied to the ring by The Crimson Baroness! Weighing in at 242 pounds! He is “The Battle-Hardened Veteran” CHRIIIIIS BOOOOOND!!! The self-proclaimed legend of the wrestling world walks to the center of the ring and stands there for a moment, as flashes go off throughout the waves of fans. The Baroness joins him, using her hands to emphasize his presence. Bond circles the ring, arms outstretched and shouting about how great he is, as the fans boo loudly once again. Bond clearly enjoys this, as his trademark smirk re-emerges on his face. Heading to his corner, Bond removes his t-shirt and hands it to the Baroness before doing a few stretches. He and TCB exchange words as they await for the bell. Kris Cruise: Speaking of making their presence felt, The Crimson Baroness isn’t above getting involved in the action to help Chris Bond succeed. Stephy Auger: Bond was once the standard bearer of the Pride Division. He used to embody “FGA Pride” until he saw how fickle the fans really were. He might have lost the battle at A New Odyssey. But he won the war for The New Murder by single-handedly taking out Malcolm Drake! Kris Cruise: I’m not sure which show you’re watching... Stephy Auger: ...clearly not Flashpoint! Geoff Penzer: I’m right here, you know… Kris Cruise: ...but Malcolm Drake hasn’t gone anywhere. Bond laid him out a few weeks ago. But Drake is still lurking in the shadows. It’s only a matter of time until he strikes. Is Bond ready to handle the fight that Drake will bring to him? The lights begin to slow fade out to the opening tunes of "Eye of the Tiger" before flashing quickly back on once the rifts of the guitar begin playing, along with being met with flashes of blue and gold light on the stage. Once the song picks up into its normal tune about 25 seconds in, Tyler Storm rushes out from behind the curtain to a positive pop, bobbing his head to the beat of the song and mouthing out to the fans. Once the lyrics start, Tyler begins making his way down the ramp, walking along the left for the first half of his trek to the ring and high-fiving fans or talking with them, and doing the same in the second half of his walk on the right side. Before long he reaches ringside and after interacting with a few more people at ringside, he works his way up the stairs onto the ring apron. He rubs his feet off for a few moments, then gripping onto the top rope he jumps up and slides his legs in between the top and middle ropes and into the ring. J.A. Aldridge: And their opponent, hailing from Tuscaloosa, Alabama! Weighing in at 215 pounds… TYYYYLERRRR STOOOORRRRM!!! The song goes on for a few more moments with Storm motioning out to the crowd for a reaction before rushing to one side of the ring just as the drawn out "Eye of the Tiger" lyric hits, landing his right foot on the bottom rope and his left on the middle rope with his arms spread out open with the audience cheering. He then hops back off the ropes and walks over to his corner as the music fades. Kris Cruise: Tyler Storm once again finds himself mixed up with Seth Iser. These two have had quite the rivalry over the last several months. But will Storm be able to focus on the task at hand, or will he have tunnel vision and focus solely on Iser? Susan appears on the stage and uses her hand to fans the crowd, she walks to the ring shaking hands with the fans, she climbs the ropes from the outside and waves to the fans, then climbs down into her corner and waits for her opponent. J.A. Aldridge: And their opponent, hailing from Wichita, Kansas… SUUUUSAAAAANNNN KEENNNT!!! Kris Cruise: Susan Kent has been turning heads as of late by turning the tide and picking up some key wins. She has more momentum now than she’s had in months. What better time to strike while the iron is hot, Stephy? Stephy Auger: She’s riding a bit of a wave. I’ll give her that. But how long will it last until she crashes? The bell sounds as Storm and Iser rush towards the center of the ring. The crowd explodes with cheers as the two rivals start slugging it out. Iser and Storm continue to trade fists at a fast pace while Vincent Moretti can be seen slapping the apron and yelling at Iser knock Storm’s head off. Meanwhile, Bond rushes over and throws out a clothesline at Kent. But Kent ducks. When Bond turns around, Kent begins lighting up his chest with knife-edge chops. She then goes for an irish whip. But Bond reverses, sending Kent into the ropes. When Kent returns, Bond goes for a back body drop. But Kent slips down from behind before following up with an O’Connor Roll. ONE! . . TWO! . Bond kicks out. Kris Cruise: Kent nearly snuck out of here with a win. After both grapplers scramble back to a vertical base, Bond doubles her over with a boot to the midsection. He then runs into the corner and goes to slam her face-first into the top turnbuckle. But Kent gets her foot on the middle rope, blocking the move. After an elbow to the chest, Kent takes Bond and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Bond around, kent climbs up onto the middle ropes and punches him while part of the crowd counts along. Crowd: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FI- Bond grabs Kent, takes a few steps out of the corner and falls back, delivering a hotshot across the top turnbuckle to boos from the crowd. Back towards the center of the ring, Iser and Storm are still going at it. The two rivals finally begin to slow down. The punches that they were throwing at a frantic pace are now much slower and sluggish. Iser hits Storm with a right hand. After taking a few seconds, Storm follows up with a punch of his own. After a few seconds, Iser nails Storm with another punch. After a few seconds, Storm comes back with a punch of his own. After a few seconds, Iser throws out another punch. But Storm ducks and counters with a right hand. After a few seconds, Iser throws out another punch. But Storm blocks and counters with a punch to the face. He then nails Iser with another punch… and another… and another. While Iser is nearly out on his feet, Storm turns and runs into the far ropes. When he comes back, Iser lifts him up, takes a few steps back and drops him across the top rope with a Stun Gun. The crowd boos as Storm falls to the mat and holds his throat. Kris Cruise: Storm’s neck snapped back after that STun Gun across the ropes. He might have gotten hurt on that one. Stephy Auger: For his sake, he better not have. He’s still got the Gold Rush Rumble to worry about later on tonight. Iser picks up Storm and tosses him through the ropes and out onto the apron. He then reaches over and tries to suplex Storm back into the ring. But Storm blocks the move. So Iser tries to muscle him up for another suplex. But again, Storm blocks. The crowd cheers as Storm starts to lift up Iser for a vertical suplex of his own! Kris Cruise: Storm’s about to suplex Iser out to the floor! Just as Storm’s nearly got Iser parallel to the mat, Bond heads over and pulls Iser down. After Bond grabs Storm, Iser and Bond bring Storm back into the ring with a double suplex. The boos continue as Iser turns over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TW-NO! Bond drags Iser off of Storm before making a lateral press over Storm. ONE! . . TW-NO! Iser drags Bond off of Storm. Once the Battle-Hardened Veteran returns to his feet, he gets in Iser’s face. Kris Cruise: Oh boy! The two grizzled vets begin to have words before Iser shoves Bond back. Bond looks out to the crowd and smirks… before marching back over and shoving Iser back. Iser marches back over and leans his chest into Bond’s. Bond then leans his forehead against Iser’s. The two men continue to jaw at each other until Kent rushes up to the side, grabs them both by the head, pulls them back and them slams their heads together! Kris Cruise: Double noggin knocker from kent! Stephy Auger: Oh no! While the veterans are dazed, Kent turns and runs into the far ropes. When she comes back, the crowd cheers when she brings Bond down with a running hurricanrana. She then gets to her feet, takes Iser and sends him into the corner. Kent runs across the ring and follows up with a spinning heel kick, sending Iser slumping down in the corner. After heading back towards the center of the ring, Kent turns around, runs back over and delivers a Bronco Buster to cheers from the crowd! After getting off of Iser, Kent takes a few steps back before she’s brought down from behind by Bond with a rear naked choke drop! The boos continue as Bond circles Kent. The Battle-Hardened Veteran barks insults down at Kent before delivering a stomp to each limb. He follows up with repeated stomps to the chest. He then drops down and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Storm breaks up the pin with a running elbow drop across the back. Storm picks up Bond and nails him with a punch before going for an irish whip. But Bond reverses. When Storm returns, he sees Bond setting up for a back body drop. So Storm counters with a kick to the shoulder. While Bond stands up and stumbles back, Storm turns and runs back into the ropes. When Storm returns, he gets blindsided by a running big boot from Iser! The boos continues as he makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Bond dives over and breaks up the pin. Kris Cruise: Good save there from Bond. Bond picks up Iser and tosses him through the ropes out onto the apron. After reaching out through the ropes and placing Iser in a front facelock, he drags Iser across the middle rope to set up for the Rejection (rope-hung DDT). But before Bond can deliver the move, Iser unhooks his legs, lifts up Bond and counters with a Stun Gun! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Kent dives over and breaks up the pin. Kris Cruise: Kent makes the save! Kent takes Iser, heads into the corner and goes to slam him face-first into the top turnbuckle. But Iser bocks the move, elbows Kent and follows up by slamming her face-first into the top turnbuckle. He then turns Kent around and delivers a series of back elbow strikes to the face, followed by a series of knee strikes to the midsection, followed by a series of shoulder thrusts. He then steps off to the side and applies a foot choke. The crowd boos Iser while he keeps the choke applied. He then lets go, takes Kent and whips her into the opposite corner. He rushes across the ring to attack. But Kent knocks him back with a boot to the face. After shaking off the blow, Iser charges back in to the corner. But again, Kent knocks him back with a boot to the face. She then hoists herself up onto the middle ropes, dives over, grabs Iser in mid air, turns and plants him with a Tornado DDT! The cheers continue as she makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Bond breaks up the pin with a stomp to the back. Bond grabs Kent by the hair, yanks her up, turns, runs and chucks her over the top rope. Instead of crashing onto the floor, Kent lands safely on the apron. Bond turns around and sees Kent on the apron. So he rushes over to knock her off. But Kent ducks and counters with a shoulder thrust through the ropes. While Bond is doubled over, Kent slingshots herself over the top rope and brings Bond down with a sunset flip! ONE! . . TWO! . . Bond kicks out. After both grapples scramble back to a vertical base, Bond catches her with a European Uppercut. He then scoops her up from the side before delivering a jumping backbraker! He makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Kent gets her shoulder up. Bond picks up Kent and whips her into the far ropes. When Kent returns, she goes for a crossbody block. But Bond catches her in mid air. While Bond’s got her held in place, Storm comes up from behind and wraps his arms around Bond’s waist. The crowd cheers when Storm delivers a release German Suplex on Bond while Bond delivers a fallaway slam to Kent! Kris Cruise: Storm kills two birds with one stone with that one! Stephy Auger: Where is Iser when you need him? When Storm returns to his feet and turns around, Iser catches him with three snapping jabs! He goes to follow up with a discus clothesline when Storm ducks and counters with a Blue Thunder Bomb! The cheers continue as the ref slides into place to make the count. ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! Iser gets his shoulder up. Kris Cruise: So close! Storm picks up Iser and positions him over his head for the Bite Wound (Crucifix Cutter)! Before Storm can deliver the move, Bond pulls Iser down from behind. After nailing Storm with a clubbing strike across the back of the neck, Bond grabs him from behind, runs forward and tosses him out onto the apron through the ropes. The Battle-Hardened Veteran then grabs a hold of the SHOOTCAMP member, drags him along the middle rope and plants him with the Rejection! The boos continue as Bond makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! Storm gets his shoulder up. Kris Cruise: Storm just gets his shoulder up in time! Stephy Auger: Are you sure? I could have sworn that was three! Bond picks up Storm and doubles him over with a trio of knee strikes to the midsection. After placing Storm in a headlock, Bond goes for a running bulldog when Storm shoves him off into the ropes. When Bond returns, Storm throws out a bicycle kick. But Bond catches his foot. After wagging his finger at Storm, Bond swings the leg away from him and quickly follows up with Misery (Rolling Knee Bar)! Kris Cruise: Bond’s got Storm locked in the submission! Stephy Auger: Storm’s got nowhere to go! The crowd erupts with boos as Bond applies his signature submission! Storm can be seen yelling out in pain while Bond fights for the submission! The ref kneels down and asks Storm if he wants to give up. When Storm refuses to submit, Bond increases the pressure of the hold. Stephy Auger: Bond’s really got it in now. Just tap, Storm! The ref asks Storm if he wants to give up. But he still refuses to give up. Storm then tries his best to scoot himself over towards the side of the ring. He goes to reach out towards the ropes when The Crimson Baroness can be seen pulling the bottom rope back. Kris Cruise: Oh come on! The crowd erupts with boos as TCB continues to taunt Storm. But the boos turn to cheers when Malcolm Drake leaps over the guardrail! Stephy Auger: AH! Kris Cruise: Malcolm Drake! Malcolm Drake is here at Only the Strong Survive! The former Head Crow of The Murder rushes over, grabs TCB by the hair and pulls her away from the ropes and slowly drags her up the aisle. Bond lets go of the submission and does a double take as he looks around for his fiancé! His eyes then widen with shock upon seeing Drake with a handful of her locks as he slowly walks backwards up the ramp. Kris Cruise: Where is Drake going? Stephy Auger: He needs to get his hands off of her! Bond rolls to the outside. As soon as Bond motions up the ramp, Drake gives TCB a quick jerk by the hair, causing Bond to freeze in place. Bond then takes a couple of steps up the aisle. But again, a quick jerk of the neck causes Bond to stop in place. Once Drake gets to the top of the ramp with TCB, he points down at Bond. As the Tron switches to a closeup of Drake and TCB, Drake can be seen mouthing “I told you there are fates worse than death. You tried to end a man with nothing to lose. Now I’m going to bring you down to my level. I am going to take EVERYTHING from you. And only then… will you have my permission to die.” Drake then spins TCB towards him and hooks his arm around her neck while hooking his far leg across the back of her near leg. Drake turns and looks down at Bond before quickly falling back. Kris Cruise: He isn’t going to… is he!? Stephy Auger: Don’t do it, Drake! Don’t do it! The crowd explodes with cheers as Drake delivers the End of Days (Flatliner) to TCB on the top of the ramp! Bond’s eyes widen as he drops down to a knee. Drake sits up and stays next to TCB’s motionless body before slowly getting back to a vertical base. Drake points down at Bond before slowly stepping back through the curtain. Kris Cruise: Malcolm Drake has just laid out The Crimson Baroness at the top of the ramp with Bond’s own move! Stephy Auger: This is an outrage! Once Bond snaps out of it, he rushes up the aisle and tends to the fallen TCB. Back in the ring, Storm is watching this all unfold. When he turns around… Kris Cruise: Storm… STORM!... Iser nails Storm with a discus clothesline that turns him inside out! The boos continue as he makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . TH-NO! Kent dives over and breaks up the pin. Kris Cruise: Kent with a huge save! Kent picks up Iser and hits him with a knife edge chop. She then throws out another chop… and another… and another. A standing dropkick then knocks Iser back a few steps. A spinning heel kick knocks him back a few more steps. She then takes Iser and goes for an irish whip. But Iser reverses, sending her into the corner. Iser runs over to attack. But Kent rolls out of the way, causing Iser to crash into the turnbuckles. As Iser stumbles back, Kent doubles him over with a kick to the midsection before bringing him down with a running corkscrew neckbreaker. Kent then steps through the ropes, scales to the top turnbuckle, leaps off and goes for The Photo Op (Frog Splash). But Iser gets his knees up, causing Kent to crash down hard across them. Stephy Auger: The high risk doesn’t pay off for Kent! Iser picks up Kent and sets her up for the Deprivation DDT when Storm runs past Iser and nails him in the face with the Hardcastle Treatment (springboard roundhouse kick)! Stephy Auger: Where did he come from!? While Iser shakes out the cobwebs on the mat, Storm heads into the corner. He turns and yells out to the crowd, “TIME TO…” before the crowd follows up with “...BE WITNESS!” Once Iser gets to his feet and turns around, Storm charges over and lunges forward at Iser. But Iser sidesteps, causing Storm and nearly spear Kent in half! Kris Cruise: Oh no! Once Storm returns to his feet and turns around, Iser rakes him across the eyes. The boos continue as he doubles Storm over with a boot to the midsection before pulling him into a front facelock. Iser sets him up for the Deprivation DDT. But before Iser can hit the move, Storm reaches up, grabs the arm, rolls out of it and pulls Iser into a an Alabama Slam! The cheers continue as Storm pulls up Iser, lifts him up onto his shoulders, runs across the ring and brings him down with the Eye of the Storm (Electric Chair Driver)! ONE! . . TWO! . . THREE! The crowd cheers when “Eye of the Tiger (Metal Cover)” hits the speakers. J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this bout, TYYYYYLERRRR STOORRRRRRM!!! The cheers continue as Storm gets his arm raised in victory. Kris Cruise: Tyler Storm picks up the biggest victory of his FGA career here tonight! He’s now got a guaranteed shot at the FGA Pride Championship! Plus he’s still got the Gold Rush Rumble to come later on tonight! What a night this could turn out to be for the Shootcamp member! Moretti is irate over the outcome while Storm makes his way up the ramp...

We cut to the backstage area where we open, at first, to a shot of what looks to be a mainly empty locker-room… before we pan out, capturing the door in the shot just as it’s pushed open. Orlando roars as the former FGA Tag Team Champions, the Chaotics, stroll into the room, Ashlyn walking in first, pausing as she reaches the middle of the room to turn, raising a brow at her partner.
Ashlyn De Luca: I get needing to be mentally prepped for these dudes-- but brain teasers? Trivia? Really? You know I grew up stealing cable from my neighbors. Reception came in all goofy lookin. Looked stolen. Like… LOOKED stolen. Like-- you came over to my house to visit and tried to turn on Star Trek and you were like “oh-- OH, this is stolen cable.” Like, that was my house. But you stayl out here askin me Star Trek trivia like my reception came in crisp. Sorry, Logan, I didn’t grow up like that until like 2006. Know what came in crystal clear though?
Logan simply raises an eyebrow at his partner, knowing a rhetorical question when he heard one.
Ashlyn De Luca: COPS. Saw all that. Taught me the basics. Peep me next time I’m stompin someone out in the corner. Tell me that isn’t some dirty cop shit. I got it down. And you should too.
Logan Alexander: Pure brute force has never been my forte.
Ashlyn De Luca: Well, that’s fine. But we need to take a look at our, uh… blueprints… put our foot up in em. Turn this bitch up a notch. Go get our Tag Team Titles back, you know?
As Logan responds, Ashlyn slowly turns toward a small stack of papers sitting on top of Logan’s gym bag, subtly labeled “BLUEPRINTS FOR TAG TEAM SUCCESS”, moving toward them as Logan goes on.
Logan Alexander: The trivia and brain teasers are just to keep you thinking. Emotion is great, but you need to temper it with something else, lest you lose focus. I’m all for beating these two into the ground… I have something to make up for in this round after all, but feeding on just emotion is what blinded me to that shot from behind that Bisley turned the tide with.
Still listening, but back turned to Logan, Ashlyn proceeds to put her bare foot on top of the blueprints, digging her toes into the center of the paper as she squints down at it. Logan steps up beside Ashlyn and looks to her and then to the stack of paper.
Logan Alexander: I do think you have a very good point though… The old playbook isn’t going to cut it. I realized that in those weeks I spent on my own after Grapple Kingdom… I clung too tightly to the way I thought things should have been done. What did it get us? Came up short and let Bisley believe that he’d actually accomplished something.
He shakes his head slightly.
Logan Alexander: He reminded me that complacency is the real threat in this business.
He looks to Ashlyn as she finally removes her foot from the stack of papers, exhaling deeply before she raises a brow and turns to Logan.
Logan Alexander: Feel free to… shake things up.
Ashlyn gestures toward the now near-destroyed stack of papers.
Ashlyn De Luca: Those were actually pretty solid plans. I… I should’ve looked into making some copies first. I just thought it would look really good on camera.
Silence.
Ashlyn clears her throat and rubs at her eyes for a moment before giving Logan a broad, energetic smile.
Ashlyn De Luca: It’s fine. I retained all the good stuff. And we usually just go out there and wing it and it works out for the best anyway. Except for the two times that it didn’t. But…
Ashlyn shakes her head a little, clearly shaking off the negative memory..
Ashlyn De Luca: Tonight we’re making history. Tonight, we’re gonna do exactly what Smart Style was so desperately trying to avoid… turn them into another pair of names on the roster. Not free agents. Not champs. Not wildcards. Not some pair of unknowns. But another team, contracted to Flashpoint to show up… wrestle… and leave… just like everybody else that they put down on the way to these sick, sick contracts they’ve supposedly got. I mean, I think that’s respectable. But you know them.
Logan snorts softly.
Logan Alexander: Even with the titles the two of them just come off as another couple of guys on the roster. They set up their ‘challenge’ a couple of shows back to give themselves an easier challenge from outside of the company. When we had the belts we beat Smart Style, we beat the Lion Attack Squad, we even went to the other brand and beat Shootcamp when they were more on a roll here. Smart Style beat us cause I didn’t raise my game for that fourth match. We got the momentum off that eight person tag match when Bisley got beaten by the US champ.
Ashlyn sighs a little, raising her brows along with her shoulders for a delicate shrug.
Ashlyn De Luca: I get it. I get what you’re saying. But maybe we should change the way we’re looking at these dudes. I mean--
Logan Alexander: We are. He probably thinks that was a fluke as well, or another five second violation, or whatever excuse he wants to throw out to justify the fact that he couldn’t match serious competition when the chips were down. We’re not making that kind of mistake here. We know we can’t dismiss them at all.
He points back and forth between himself and Ashlyn.
Logan Alexander: And we… are going out there to be more than just serious competition. We are going to go out there and turn the screws even tighter on them cause we have a score to settle and a point to prove. We want to be the best… and to do that we need to go through them.
Ashlyn looks at Logan in silence for a few seconds, silently noting the aggression in his voice. The wheels are clearly turning in the moments in which she doesn’t speak until finally, she goes on.
Ashlyn De Luca: They’ll always accuse us of refusing to take notice of how good they are… refusing to treat them like a serious threat. I guess…
Another small shrug.
Ashlyn De Luca: That can’t matter tonight. It’s our last shot. So maybe instead of looking at it so critically, we just leave it all out there. We just… fight our asses off.
A small breath, lifting her hands in the air a bit, knowing she can’t articulate it further.
Ashlyn De Luca: We just fight.
She smiles faintly, gesturing toward the destroyed stack of maybe-bogus papers.
Ashlyn De Luca: I mean. The step-by-step blueprints for success are already ruined anyway.
The light-hearted tone is fleeting. Logan closes his eyes for a moment and takes in a breath. He opens his eyes and meets Ashlyn’s gaze and nods.
Logan Alexander: We leave it all in the ring tonight. No regrets. No excuses. We beat them or break them, otherwise…
He just leaves that thought hanging there. Ashlyn doesn’t push him to finish the thought, but moves forward and gives him a small, light-hearted jab to the shoulder, following with a short, familiar phrase.
Ashlyn De Luca: Let’s get it.
She turns, making her way out of frame as Logan glances back at the ruins of what had been a set of carefully laid out plans.
Logan Alexander: Whichever way works best to do so.
He then turns and follows after Ashlyn without another moment spent looking back as we fade.

With a few short minutes separating the two members of Smart Style, Mark Bisley and Shintaro Majima, from having to go through with the indignity of having to share a ring with The Chaotics for what feels like the hundredth time since last year’s Dynamic Duos Tournament, we find the reigning champions ready to do what needs to be done to banish the perpetual thorns in their side once and for all
However, before that happens, Mark Bisley would like to say a few things…
Mark Bisley: It goes without saying that tonight isn’t the first time I’ve been to Orlando. After all, like so many other kids, when you’re eight years old there’s only one place on earth that you want to see with your own eyes: Disney World. And why wouldn’t it be? You get to hang out with Mickey and Donald and Goofy and, if you have the time, all seven of the Dwarves. And just like so many kids, one day that’s just what we did, as my parents paid for a week down in Florida where we not only saw this strange yellow ball in the sky every single day that we were used to seeing for maybe six weeks a year in Minnesota, but we had the week planned. Sea World, Universal Studios, Gatorland…for some reason, and to cap it all off the Magic Kingdom.
Bisley takes a moment to clear his throat before he continues
Mark Bisley: I remember the ever-growing feeling of anticipation that built through the week, knowing full well I’d be excitedly telling my classmates everything I saw and how it matched to everything I imagined it to be, and I’m sure my parents were really happy I was bouncing around the motel room at half six that morning because I couldn’t contain my excitement, sort of like how my dad couldn’t contain that second cup of coffee he needed that led to us making an emergency stop at a Denny’s halfway there. And, yes, to my eight-year old mind it was everything I hoped it would be.
Holding that thought for a moment, Bisley cannot help but adjust the title he has casually resting on his lap before he continues
Mark Bisley: Of course looking back now, all I can think is what a fantasy it was. When you’re visiting the Haunted Mansion, for example, you think it’s some sort of witchcraft that makes the walls stretch out to show the hidden meanings of those paintings, but now one trip to Google will tell you it’s little more than a freight elevator and fine cloth to create the illusion – and as for anyone who thinks EPCOT teaches them anything about the rest of the world...
Bisley looks askance at the thought that somebody, anybody, might be basing their knowledge of the world from their trip around the World Showcase
Mark Bisley: More than anything else, though, what strikes me is how the Magic Kingdom isn’t that magical anymore, as it’s just a giant advertising hoarding where the Tower of Terror becomes some Guardians of the Galaxy tie-in, Pirates of the Caribbean has Jack Sparrow appear every few minutes in case people on the ride forget which ride they’re on, and Space Mountain is another Star Wars tie-in on top of the dozen they have planned for the next couple of years. That’s not magical, that’s the hard sell.
Pausing, and unable to avoid the slight sigh with what he’s saying, Bisley gets to the damn point at last
Mark Bisley: The thing is, Orlando does seem to like its fantasies, as it’s almost literally built on them: you’re not meeting Honest Abe but an animatronic puppet that is that little bit too uncanny valley to be convincing; that’s not Mickey Mouse but a few dozen guys in a few dozen suits; and most of all, The Chaotics might think they have a chance of regaining something they never deserved but they’re about to find that they’re as real as Orlando City’s chances of winning the MLS Cup at some point in the next decade.
Offering up a half-shrug in apology, to Orlando City fans rather than tonight’s opponents, Bisley continues
Mark Bisley: From the very first time we were drawn against the duo all we have heard is the two of them trying to mask their own insecurities, talking down everything we had done and coming up with all manner of wild conspiracy theories to try and convince themselves that what they were saying had any basis in reality
Shintaro Majima: …and attempt to goad us into descending to their level…
Mark Bisley: …and what’s it got them? The ability to allows us to say “We told you so” at their expense, which is hardly unique as you could put us against any team on the Flashpoint roster and we’d end up doing the same…but don’t think we forgot about you, Vertigo, because we can say the exact same about you. And we will, give it time.
Rather than leave it there, Bisley wags a finger
Mark Bisley: …but tonight’s not going to be about who we facenext, tonight is about proving once and for all who the better team is, because nothing will give the pair of us greater pleasure than leaving Ashlyn De Luca and Logan Alexander alone in the ring with distraught expressions upon their face as it dawns on them this was their last chance and they blew it. On the plus side, when we listen to their excuses and watch Logan’s next half dozen temper tantrums, we can do so without having to be in range of the froth spewing from the corners of his mouth because he can’t handle it when somebody shows him and his partner up as being a couple of bladders full of hot air that would be better served devoting their time to being full-time Twitter trolls than pretend that they’re professional athletes.
As Bisley can’t help but smirk, Majima takes the opportunity to say his piece
Shintaro Majima: I will make things clear: we are tired of the pair of you. What we have had to endure for almost a year is hearing the pair of you threaten us, sneer at us, and when we did not rise to your immature goading you went so far as to attack us – yet all along you claimed that you were the wronged party. You were not.
Slapping the back of one hand into the palm of the other, Majima continues
Shintaro Majima: You were the ones to instigate so much of what happened, and yet you play the victim when it comes back to haunt you. Tonight that ends, because tonight is when we defeat you one last time to not only retain the titles which we have earned, but to prove what I have always said to be true: the pair of you have no hope of ever being considered worthy champions.
For a moment there is silence in the Smart Style locker room, as Majima’s cutting assessment hangs in the air for some time, until it looks as if Bisley is ready to speak – but instead, resisting the urge to say a few hundred more words on the matter, he simply nods to his partner before he nods in the direction of the locker room door.
And with that, the pair simply get up and leave, ready and able to put their words into action one last time.

FGA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP (c) Smart Style vs. The Chaotics The lights in the arena slowly fade to darkness. While this hushes some members of the audience, others grow loud in anticipation. “Deadcruiser” hits the PA system and a silver-blue strobe begins to dance near the top of the ramp, revealing a feminine figure with a hoodie thrown over wrestling gear, back turned toward the ring. As the lights in the arena begin to systematically brighten, it becomes clear that the figure is Ashlyn De Luca. The arena plunges into darkness once more, earning a cheap pop from the live audience for theatrics-- before all of the lights scream to life, casting a blinding glow down on the pair at the top of the ramp. While Ashlyn De Luca now faces the ring, arms still above her head, our camera swing to reveal Logan standing with his back to hers, arms held out straight to the side. Ashlyn lowers her arms, pointing a two-handed “finger gun” toward the camera with a smirk, though she abandons it as she and the hooded Logan Alexander abruptly part, marching toward the ring with a purpose. Melanie Sierra: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the FGA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP! Introducing first, making their way to the ring at a total combined weight of 368 pounds! They are the team of Logan Alexander and Ashlyn De Luca, THE CHAAAAOOOOTICCCSSSS!!! Reaching the bottom of the ramp, Ashlyn pauses just once to survey the audience while Logan walks to the ring apron, stepping inside. Ashlyn ever-so-faintly smiles into the audience again before rushing to the barricade. Our hard camera takes over, with Ashlyn leaping onto the barricade, arms wide as she screams back out into the raucous audience. Behind her, Logan mounts the bottom-and-middle ropes, arms held to his side in a similar pose. Ashlyn drops from the barricade, sliding into the ring beneath the ropes and Logan, hopping to her feet on the opposite side of the ring, screaming out into the other side of the audience as they rise to their feet. Logan drops down from the ropes and bumps forearms with De Luca in the center of the ring as they pass each other, mounting opposite corners to look out into the masses. The Chaotics remove their hoodies, tossing them simultaneously into the crowd as their music fades. Geoff Penzer: We’ve seen two tag team matches previously here tonight. The third and final one of the evening will be for the FGA World Tag Team Championship as the former champions and the 2017 Dynamic Duos Tag Team Tournament winners, The Chaotics, look to get their titles back from this team... The arena lights slowly dim as the doom-laden synths of “Another Chance” blast out across the arena, and as they dim blue lights fill the entranceway, growing in brightness as the music gets more intense, and as the main hook grows the pairing of Mark Bisley emerge at the top of the ramp, Bisley with raising his title into the air as he surveys all before him while Majima wears his belt around his waist while looking towards the ring with a stony expression As they walk down the ramp, Bisley stops and holds his arms apart and tilts his head back to tell the entire arena he is here, while Majima stands directly behind him with his arms held aloft as he looks directly towards the ring, with the pair almost resembling the Vitruvian Man as they do this Melanie Sierra: And their opponents! Making their way to the ring weighing in at a total combined weight of 443 pounds! They are the reigning, defending FGA World Tag Team Champions! They are the team of Mark Bisley and Shintaro Majima…. SMAAAAARRRTT STYYYYYYYLE!!! Making their way to ringside, Bisley lifts himself onto the apron and adopts a kneeling position, holding his belt aloft once more, while Majima stands beside him and removes his sunglasses, looking out into the crowd. A moment later, Majima steps into the ring while Bisley rolls under the ropes before getting back to a knee in the ring, placing his belt on the canvas in front of him as he caresses it with his hand to say this is my title, while Majima stands behind him and raises his title into the air while fixing his opponent with a stony gaze. Geoff Penzer: The deep personal issues between Smart Style and The Chaotics go all the way back to last summer during DDT3. It was there that these two met in the semifinals of the tournament. The Chaotics beat them en route to winning the whole tournament. A few months later, The Chaotics found themselves in the championship match that they earned from the tournament win, challenging the Polychromatic Lion Attack Squad. After the match, The Chaotics’ crowning moment was ruined when they were attacked by Smart Style! Since that time, Mark Bisley and Shintaro Majima have played both Vertigo and Flashpoint off each other in a bidding war all the while being thorns in the Chaotics’ side. Things came to a head two months ago at “Grapple Kingdom 2”, were Smart Style pulled off the upset and defeated the Chaotics for the championship! Two months later, the tension is as thick as it ever was. The Chaotics are looking to get their titles back! Smart Style are looking to retainand rid themselves of the duo, once and for all1 Each side has been victorious over the other. Tonight, they get it on one last time. Here we go! The match starts with both teams trading blows in the center of the ring! The two sides continue to go back and forth until Smart Style gains the upper hand. Majima doubles over Alexander with a knee strike to the midsection while while Bisley blasts De Luca with knife edge chops. Bisley then moves De Luca into the far corner and delivers the Minnesota Buzzsaw (repeated shoot kicks in the corner). In the opposite cotner, Majima nails Alexander with machine gun chops. After Smart Style look across the ring and give each other a nod, they take The Chaotic and deliver a hard irish whip, sending them crashing into each other in the center of the ring! As The Chaotics stumble back, Smart Style goes for a belly to back suplex. But both members of The Chaotics are able to roll over their shoulders, land on their feet and shove Smart Style forward, sending Bisley and Majima crashing into each other in the center of the ring! As Smart Style stumbles back, De Luca brings Bisley down with a rolling double russian leg sweep while Alexander brings Majima down with the Chaotics Shockwave (inverted implant DDT)! After stomping Majima to the outside, Alexander goes over and helps De Luca take Bisley and whip him into the ropes. When Bisley returns, The Chaotics throw him down with a double back body drop! When Bisley turns over and gets back to his feet, he gets knocked back down by a running front dropkick! Alexander pulls Bisley back up, delivers an inverted atomic drop and holds him in place while De Luca runs into the ropes. When she returns, the crowd cheers when she knocks Bisley down with a stiff lariat! Alexander heads out to the apron while De Luca makes the cover. Geoff Penzer: The Chaotics get the better of that exchange… ONE! . . TWO! . . Bisley kicks out. De Luca heads over and tags Alexander in. Once he gets back in, The Chaotics pick up Bisley and hold him in place for a stalling double suplex. Before they can fall back and deliver the move, Majima rushes over and hits Alexander with a kick to the midsection, doubling him over and forcing The Chaotics to lower Bisley back down. Majima knocks Alexander back with multiple forearm strikes to the face while Bisley hits De Luca with a trio of European Uppercuts. The Tag Champs then turn and run into the far ropes. When they come back, the crowd cheers when Alexander throws down Majima with a Uragaeshi (STO to a running opponent) while De Luca knocks Bisley down with a spinning heel kick! After Alexander tosses Majima through the ropes and to the floor, The Chaotics go back over to Bisley and deliver a double vertical suplex. De Luca heads over to the corner before stepping out onto the apron while Alexander heads into the adjacent corner. After stepping out onto the apron, Alexander climbs to the top turnbuckle, leaps off and connects with a diving elbow drop! De Luca then performs a rope walk before delivering a diving leg drop! Once De Luca heads back out to the apron, Alexander heads back over and makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Bisley gets his shoulder up. Geoff Penzer: The Chaotics have been on point thus far. But we know that Smart Style has been good at getting in their heads. Will Smart Style look to knock The Chaotics off their game with some mind games in this one? Alexander takes Bisley and goes for an irish whip. But Bisley reverses. As soon as Alexander hits the ropes, he gets tripped up from the outside by Majima! Alexander turns around and kicks at Majima. But Majima is quick enough to step back. While Alexander’s still distracted, Bisley catches him with a superkick to the back of the head! Alexander then crumbles to the mat before Bisley makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Alexander kicks out. Geoff Penzer: That little distraction is all it takes for Smart Style to turn a match back around. Bisley picks up Alexander, marches into the Smart Style corner and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle before tagging Majima in. Once The Strong Style Savior gets in, he sends Alexander slumping down in the corner with Mongolian Chops. He then turns and runs into the far ropes. When Majima returns, he catches Alexander across the face with the Noshinto (running knee facewash)! He then drags Alexander from out of the corner before making the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Alexander gets his shoulder up. Majima heads over and tags Bisley back in. Once Bisley gets in, Smart Style deliver a double snap suplex! Bisley makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Alexander gets his shoulder up. Bilsey heads over and tags Majima back in. Smart Style then take Alexander and whip him into the far ropes. When he returns, they throw him down with a double japanese arm drag! Majima makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Alexander gets his shoulder up. Geoff Penzer: Another nearfall for the champs! They’re keeping Alexander isolated. They’re working over the more experience member of the team and wearing him down. They’re making quick tags. This is Tag Team 101 right here at it’s finest. I don’t like their antics or their attitude. But you’ve got to give them their due. Majima makes the tag out to Bisley. After the members of Smart Style trade places, Bisley grabs a hold of the top rope with both hands (Majima does the same). Bisley leans the top rope forward before yanking back, sending Majima over the top rope to knock Alexander down with an assisted slingshot shoulder block! The boos continue as Bisley makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Alexander gets his shoulder up. Bisley pulls up Majima, places him in a cravate and delivers repeated knees to the face). He then follows up with Greetings From The Twin Cities (hangman’s neckbreaker across the knee)! The boos continue as he makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . Alexander gets his shoulder up. Geoff Penzer: Alexander’s been really getting worked over here. He’s got to find an opening and them make the tag out to De Luca. Bisley picks up Alexander and whips him into the ropes. When Alexander returns, Bisley goes for a back body drop. But Alexander slips down from behind. He then turns Bisley towards him, doubles him over with a kick to the midsection and motions for the Chaotic Shockwave (implant DDT)! But the cheers turn to boos when Bisley counters with a bridging northern lights suplex! ONE! . . TWO! . . TH-NO! De Luca breaks up the pin! Geoff Penzer: Good counter there by Bisley and an even better save by De Luca! While De Luca heads back out to the apron, Bisley heads over into the corner and tags out to Majima. Once Majima gets in, Bisley delivers a snapmare before Smart Style run into opposite sets of ropes. When they return, the crowd boos when they connect with East Meets West (running soccer kick to the back from Bisley, running soccer kick to the chest from Majima)! Majima makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . TH-NO! Alexander gets his shoulder up. Majima reaches down, grabs Alexander by the wrist and slowly pulls him back up to his feet. Majima throws out the Akuma--fu (repeated short-arm clotheslines). But Alexander ducks the first clothesline and reverse into an O’Connor Roll! Geoff Penzer: Alexander could win the titles right here! ONE! . . TWO! . . Majima kicks out. After both grapplers scramble back to a vertical base, Majima catches Alexander with a roundhouse kick! While Alexander is dazed, Majima turns and runs into the ropes. When he comes back, he motions for the Kurimuzon Kasai (lariat). But Alexander counters with a pendulum backbreaker! Alexander drops down to all fours while Majima holds his lower back. Geoff Penzer: Alexander’s got his opening! Majima is down! Can he make it over to the Chaotics corner and make the tag? De Luca can be seen screaming out and calling for the tag while Alexander tries to get his second wind. Meanwhile, Majima slowly rolls over across the ring. Alexander begins to crawl towards The Chaotics corner as Majima pulls himself across the ring. The Strong Style Savior reaches up and makes the tag to Bisley! Meanwhile, Alexander continues to crawl across the canvas. He’s just near the corner when Bisley grabs him by the ankle and drags him back towards the center of the ring! Geoff Penzer: So close... Bisley turns Alexander onto his back and tries for the Minnesota Cloverleaf (kneeling Texas Cloverleaf). But before Bisley can turn him over, Alexander uses his leg strength to shove Bisley down to the mat! After both grapplers return to their feet, Bisley runs over and throws out a lariat. But Alexander ducks and runs into the ropes. When Bisey turns around, the crowd cheers when he gets knocked down by a lariat takedown! Alexander runs over and delivers another lariat takedown! An irish whip is then reversed, sending Alexander into the ropes. Bisley goes for a leapfrog. But Alexander leaps up and spears him out of the air! Geoff Penzer: Spear by Alexander! While Bisley guards his midsection, Alexander starts to pull himself across the ring. De Luca can be seen slapping the top turnbuckle with one hand while reaching the other hand out for the tag. Bisley continue to stay curled up on the mat while Alexander pulls himself closer and closer to The Chaotics’ corner. Alexander gets to his feet and dives over for the tag… When Majima yanks De Luca down to floor behind grabbing her, turning and throwing her hard against the guardrail! Geoff Penzer: Oh come on! When Alexander gets back up, Bisley runs over and connects with a clothesline from behind, sending Alexander over the top rope and to the floor. After Majima rolls back inside, Smart Style wait for The Chaotics to get in position. As The Chaotics start to pick themselves up off the mat, Majima and Biley turn and run into the far ropes. When Smart Style come back, the crowd boos when they leap through the ropes and knock The Chaotics down with a stereo suicide dive (Bisley)/elbow suicida (Majima) combo! Geoff Penzer: Smart Style have wiped out The Chaotics on the outside! Listen to these boos... Majima picks up Alexander and rolls him back inside. Bilsey climbs up onto the apron while Majima slides back into the ring. Bisley positions himself on the apron while Majima grabs a hold of Alexander. Majima lifts Alexander up for a powerbomb. Bisley goes for a springboard lariat when De Luca reaches up, grabs Bisley’s ankle mid-jump and yanks down. The crowd cheers when Bisley smacks his face hard against the edge of the apron! She then rolls back inside before clipping the back of Majima’s leg, casing Alexander to crash down on top of him! Alexander then mounts himself on top of Majima and hammers away with short-range punches to the face! De Luca returns to her feet before running into the far ropes. When she comes back, the crowd cheers when she flattens Bisley with a running suicide front dropkick through the ropes! Geoff Penzer: The Chaotics have taken back control of this match! Back inside, Alexander goes for a running bulldog. But Majima shoves Alexander off of him, sending him crashing sternum-first into the corner. As Alexander stumbles back, Majima runs into the ropes. When he comes back, Alexander swings around Majima and applies the Revised Chaos Theory (rear naked choke)! He’s trying to pull Majima down to the mat so that he can apply a bodyscissors. But Majima is fighting being brought to the ground. He then leans forward, lifting Alexander up across his back. Once Majima stands back up, he runs backwards, squashing Alexander in the corner and breaking the hold! After staggering towards the center of the ring, Majima turns around, runs into the corner and throws out the Kao No Nai (corner yakuza kick). But Alexander catches his foot. After shoving Majima down to the mat, he heads out of the corner and catches Majima with a superkick! After Majima turns away from Alexander, he gets brought down with a Lundblower! Majima is down again! Bisley’s down on the outside! Can Alexander pull himself over into the corner and make the tag? Majima bounces off of Alexander’s knees and turns over into the prone position. While Majima is down, De Luca calls out for the tag. Bisley then leaps up onto the apron beside De Luca and nails her with a back elbow to the face! He then turns his attention to Alexander and goes for a springboard lariat. But Alexander catches him with a kick to the midsection before dropping him with the Chaotic Shockwave (Implant DDT)! With both members of Smart Style down, Alexander turns over, crawls towards the corner, gets up, staggers over and tags De Luca back in. Geoff Penzer: He makes the tag! The crowd explodes with cheers when De Luca springboards to the top turnbuckle, dives off and drives Bisley down with double knees! She then picks up Majima and hits him with quick jabs and slaps before going for an irish whip. But Majima reverses, sending her into the ropes. When De Luca returns, she knocks Majima down with the Syxx Kick (running double spinning wheel kick)! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . T-NO! Bisley dives over and breaks up the pin. The boos continue as Bisley delivers repeated clubbing strikes across the back. But the boos turn to cheers when Alexander grabs Bisley, pulls him up, runs into the corner and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. Alexander turns Bisley around and doubles him over with repeated punches to the midsection before rocking him with a flurry of right hands to the face. He then takes Bisley and whips him hard into the opposite corner. Alexander then runs across the ring to attack when Bisley ducks and dumps him over the top rope. After Alexander lands safely on the apron, Bisley doubles him over with a shoulder thrust through the ropes before planting him with a slingshot DDT on the apron! Geoff Penzer: Did you hear the impact from that DDT!? Back inside, De Luca takes Majima and plants him with a running springboard Tornado DDT! She makes the cover. ONE! . . TWO! . . TH-NO! The scene cuts backstage where the ever awe inspiring former CWL Caribbean Heavyweight Champion stands in his tailor made navy blue suit, white shirt, black shoes and, obviously, the ever present scarf over his shoulders. He looks cocky as ever, albeit, without his sunglasses. Besides Chalwell stands Amanda Johnson; who doesn’t seem too pleased about the fact she has to be near Chalwell, again, after how he treated her the last time she tried to interview the man.
Amanda Johnson: Ladies and gentlemen, with me this time, Alex Chalwell.
Her tone of voice doesn’t sit well with Chalwell who looks up and down to her and brings his left hand up, almost right to Johnson’s face; in an obvious motion to stop her from talking any more. He then grabs Amanda’s hand and moves the microphone close to him.
Alex Chalwell: Excuse you! But put a little more enthusiasm in your voice. Not everyday you get the chance to interview greatness, and right now, you got that rare opportunity sweetheart; so take it in stride!
He let’s go of Johnson’s hand as he adjusts his suit and pleads the interviewer to start all over again.
Amanda Johnson: Ladies and gentlemen, with me this time, ALEX CHALWELL!
A large smile from the British Islander as he throws his arms to the side before mockingly applauding Johnson.
Alex Chalwell: See, that wasn’t that hard. Was it? Now, you may proceed.
Johnson is visibly annoyed by the fact she has to be near Chalwell at this point. Her whole body expresses her disgust with the situation, yet he remains professional and tries to conduct an interview.
Amanda Johnson: Alex —
She doesn’t even get the opportunity to start her question, when Chalwell interrupts her by tapping on his clock and grabbing the microphone from her.
Alex Chalwell: On the other hand, I think I can do a better job than you would ever do interviewing myself.
Chalwell shoos Johnson as he starts interviewing himself.
Alex Chalwell: So, you might be all wondering what is Alex Chalwell doing here at Only The Strong Survive, wearing this fancy suit and looking all mighty; and that is a pretty good question you might be asking. You might think I have no business here tonight, given I’m not scheduled to have a match and I’m not even in the Rumble; which I chose not to be a part of just due to me not finding it fair for the rest of the field, given my experience in Battle Royal or Rumble type matches, where I’ve been one of the final two on the two matches of that type I’ve been in.
Alex Chalwell: In fact I managed to win one and the other I only lost because of outside interference. So you see how unbalanced I would’ve made things in that match tonight.
Chalwell chuckles a bit at the thought of making the match fair by not being there.
Alex Chalwell: Yet, even if I’m not in any match tonight; that doesn’t mean I can’t continue my scouting of my fellow flashpointeants. After all, I need to know them, I need to study them. I know we’re already the dominant brand, that’s not a matter of discussion; but what is is how good are they compared to ME.
Alex Chalwell: We all know about the usual suspects, Johnny Karma, Evan Envi, Savannah Taylor and so on and so forth; but it is those who aren’t on that echelon who intrigue me, since I reckon those are the ones the powers that be will pit me up against, to prove my mettle. To prove my championship run in CWL wasn’t just a fluke and that I, in fact can go and carry the weight of gold over my shoulders better than anyone else.
Chalwell lowers his head, before bringing it back up.
Alex Chalwell: So fear not; as tonight. The star amongst the stars, will be watching as Flashpoint wins the night. Vertigo, you’re looking at the main reason, Flashpoint is simply—
Chalwell hits the index and middle fingers of his right hand against those same fingers of his left hand to make a hashtag symbol.
Alex Chalwell: Better than you!
He then flips the microphone into Amanda Johnson’s hands and moves out of frame as the scene cuts elsewhere.
