GRUDGE MATCH
Daniel Widdel vs. Stunray
J.A. Aldridge: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first…
Acoustic chords of "Nothing Personal" by Night Riots echo through the sound system. When the hard hitting chorus hits, Daniel Widdel steps on stage. He extends out his arms out to his sides leaning his head back soaking in the positive reaction from the fans. Daniel lowers his arms to pause for a moment to take in everything.
J.A. Aldridge: ...hailing from Windsor, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at two hundred and fifteen pounds… DAAAANIEL WIIIIDDDDEL!
Daniel eyeS the ring while he walkS down the walkway. Daniel jumps onto the apron and spring himself over the top rope.
Kris Cruise: It’s been a chaotic few months here in FGA for Daniel Widdel. He was joined by an old colleague, Stunray, and their relationship wasn’t too clear at first, Stephy, but we learned more and more about--
Stephy Auger: About what a piece of crap Daniel ACTUALLY is! Nevermind the things he allowed to happen to Amiee, let’s look at what he’s tried to do to Stunray’s relationship with Delta Madison, not to mention Stunray’s mental health! Widdel is a sick man and Stunray is a damn victim, Cruise, and I for one, am totally prepared for justice.
Kris Cruise: Ah. I bet.
Daniel goes to the furthest right turnbuckle and inaudible shouted out to pump up the fans and himself. He jumps down the turnbuckle and stood in the ring.
J.A. Aldridge: And his opponent…
The signature guitar riff of “Psycho” by Muse blasts into the excited air and a chorus of boos emanates from the sold out arena.
Stephy Auger: THE NUMBAH ONE STUNNNAHHH!
Kris Cruise: Sit down.
The drums start pounding away and Stunray strides out onto the stage with his arms outstretched into the air. The camera zooms up to him as he stops dead center on the FGA stage. He moves his outstretched hands inward multiple times as if he’s asking for more negativity. He puts his arms down and begins to walk down the ramp towards the squared circle.
J.A. Aldridge: Hailing from Rochester, New York, weighing in at two hundred and thirty-five pounds, this is STUNNNRAAAYYY!
Stunray ignores the outstretched hands of adults and children alike as he focuses on the ring. He reaches it, climbs the stairs and walks along the ring apron. He lifts his arms again as he reaches the center of the apron and looks upwards towards the lights to the tune of an unimpressed crowd. He slowly drops his arms before climbing between the second and third ropes, into the ring.
Stephy Auger: Stunray looks like he can’t contain himself! You’re done, Widdel! Good thing your wife isn’t at ringside to witness it!
The referee asks for both men to take a corner, first checking Stunray for weapons and then patting down Widdel. Widdel has a glare on his face, but a calm demeanor as he glares across the ring at Stunray.
Kris Cruise: I wouldn’t underestimate Daniel Widdel. Remember what Stunray did to Amiee. Remember what Stunray caused to happen to Delta. On top of that, remember what Stunray has put Daniel through
just in FGA. That isn’t even touching on the years of history before they got here!
Stephy Auger: Oh, cry me a river, Cruise. A former flame-- a former
anything-- finally gets in the ring and she takes a spill, and Stunray is the devil? Amiee puts her nose in his business, she pays for it, and
he’s the bad guy? You’re getting just as bad as these people!
Kris Cruise: Well, there’s no sign of Delta Madison or Amiee Widdel yet. So maybe, at the least, we’ll get the match we should’ve gotten at All-Star Showdown.
The bell sounds to a roar from the crowd-- and Stunray rushes across the ring without hesitation. Daniel meets him with a running boot to the face! Stunray immediately sinks to a knee and Daniel shoots the ropes, rebounding for the Hitman! The Superman Punch knocks Stunray flat on his back and Daniel floats into a cover, hooking the far leg, grapevining the near one!
Stephy Auger: No! What! No!
Kris Cruise: HITMAN BY WIDDEL! COVER!
The audience counts along with the ref!

THR--!
Stephy Auger: Gahhhhhh, lord.
Kris Cruise: Stunray kicks out emphatically, but Daniel Widdel isn’t letting up! Not at all!
Daniel mounts Stunray and hammers away with rights and lefts! The referee admonishes him for the closed fists, giving him until a five count to get off of his opponent.
Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOU…
Daniel climbs off of Stunray and Irish Whips him against the ropes-- blasting him with a Clothesline as soon as Stunray snaps off the ropes! The back of Stunray’s head hits the bottom rope as the result to a groan from the crowd, but Widdel is relentless, pulling him to his feet, hooking him for a DDT… but Stunray drops down to a knee, throwing himself back and sending Widdel throat-first over the middle rope, earning another groan from the crowd! Widdel rolls head-over-heels, staggering to his feet while Stunray grins. Stunray pushes himself up and darts forward, nailing Widdel with a Running Clothesline of his own, flipping Daniel onto his stomach!
Stephy Auger: Boom! Haha, was that a shot or was that a shot, Kris?
Kris Cruise: Two decapitating shots in a row, one from either. These guys are pulling no punches, but now it looks like Stunray is trying to do some real damage. Look…!
Stunray backs up into the corner and delivers a running baseball slide to the head of the prone Widdel! Daniel cries out and rolls over onto his back, sitting upright. Stunray looks toward the ramp for a few moments, a look of excitement in his eyes before he turns, driving a sharp kick into the small of Widdel’s back. Daniel grunts and falls over onto his side. Stunray drops a knee down across his temple and Daniel writhes in pain, only to fall victim to a second knee drop! Stunray leaps up and delivers three elbow drops in rapid succession to Daniel’s back. Daniel rolls onto his back and Stunray leaps up once more, higher than before, driving the point of his elbow right into the heart of his foe.
Stephy Auger: Looks like Stunray’s literally trying to stop the heart of Daniel Widdel here. Before Delta comes out and does it herself!
Stunray pulls Widdel up to a seated position by his hair, only to stand upright and deliver a hard boot to his jaw, knocking Daniel to his back. Boos rain down on the man and Stunray looks out into the crowd with a look of annoyance.
”BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
Widdel rolls to the ropes and begins to crawl up. Stunray takes a knee for a moment before sprinting across the ring, full speed at his nemesis for a Clothesline… but Daniel manages to get both feet up, catching Stunray in the face with both boots! The momentum flips Daniel over the top rope and to his feet on the apron!
Kris Cruise: Counter by Widdel, and Stunray is dazed!
Stunray shakes out the cobwebs and runs at Widdel again… but Daniel clocks him with a forearm to the jaw, sending a shot echoing through the arena! Stunray staggers before falling to his back in the center of the ring. Daniel’s eyes widen and he looks toward the turnbuckles, racing toward them to the delight of the Hawaiian crowd!
Kris Cruise: Daniel’s thinking Diving Elbow already!
Daniel ascends to the top turnbuckle and looks at Stunray… but Stunray scrambles to his feet and throws himself against the ropes, causing Daniel to lose his balance and crotch himself on the top to a groan from the crowd! Stunray grins and slowly moves toward his opponent, nailing him with a right hand to the jaw. He steps up to the second turnbuckle and nails another before hooking Daniel Widdel for a Superplex… and nailing a Snap Superplex from the second rope! Widdel flies off the top, smashing into the canvas, crying out in agony! Stunray maintains a grip however and swivels his hips, pulling himself up to a knee and then to his feet, nailing Widdel with a deadlift Fisherman’s Suplex! He bridges for the cover and the audience roars with a mixed response!

THRE-!
Widdel kicks out of the predicament, rolling away from Stunray with a hand to his back. Sturay grins and pushes himself to his feet.
Stephy Auger: Lie to me. Lie to the world. Sit here and say that wasn’t impressive!
Kris Cruise: Widdel just took a hell of a lot of punishment to his back all in one go there, and yes, it was impressive. But now Stunray has to stop admiring his handiwork and find a way to capitalize.
Stunray spares another look at the ramp before running at Widdel and delivering a stomp to his ribcage. Widdel pushes himself to a knee and fights off with a fist to the gut of Stunray, but Stunray delivers clubbing shots to the base of his neck before lifting him up and Irish Whipping him. He follows up, going for the Stunray Splash… but Widdel steps out of the corner and counters with a one-handed Spinebuster! Stunray cries out in pain but stumbles back to his feet. Widdel follows up with an STO! Stunray kicks a foot against the canvas in frustration as he clutches his own head, rolling away from Widdel’s pin attempt.
Kris Cruise: Widdel trying to mount some offense here but Stunray is doing his best to stay in this.
Widdel forces himself up to his feet and goes over to Stunray, bending down to grab him-- but Stunray hits a quick finger poke to the eye! The ref doesn’t see it and Widdel howls out in pain… only to be pulled into an Inside Cradle! The ref drops down to make the count!

Widdel kicks out of it, but Stunray seamlessly transitions into a side headlock, driving sloppy, uncalculated fists down into the head of his enemy! Widdel shouts obscenities at Stunray, whose face grows red, and it’s unclear what he’s even yelling! He jumps to his feet, yanking Widdel up by the hair-- before driving the sole of his boot across his face, knocking him to the mat! Widdel scrambles back upright and catches a toe kick under the chin! The audience groans at the sickening shot at Widdel staggers, clearly stunned, blood already visible in his mouth. Stunray cries out and rams his own skull into Widdel’s jaw!
Kris Cruise: Stunray is beside himself. He’s losing his mind more and more every week.
Stephy Auger: I know, and it’s all Daniel Widdel’s fault!
Boos rain down on Stunray as the unsteady Daniel Widdel, who doesn’t seem to know where he is as he fumbles for the ropes. Stunray slowly turns his eyes toward the ramp again, longingly. An inexplicable small smile crosses his face… but it fades to a scowl as he turns back to Widdel.
Kris Cruise: If looks could kill…
Widdel makes his way back to a vertical base, but only long enough for Stunray to rush forward and nail a modified Stunray Splash that smashes Widdel against the ring ropes! Widdel cries out in agony and Stunray grabs him, pivoting in mid-air to nail a Spinebuster of his own! The ref instinctively drops down to make the count, but Stunray doesn’t cover Daniel Widdel, instead mounting him to hammer away with rights and lefts! The official groans at the closed fists and begins to administer his five count!
Ref: One! Two! Three! Four!
Stunray yells out as he rips Widdel to his feet, throwing him into the corner. He delivers a hard slap to his chest, followed by a back elbow to his jaw… and finally another slap to his chest before he pulls him out of the corner, Irish Whipping him to the corner on the other side of the ring! Widdel connects with the turnbuckles sternum-first, groaning in pain-- and Stunray hits a Stunray Splash to his spine, crushing Widdel against the turnbuckles! Widdel cries out, knees buckling in the corner. Stunray shoots the ropes and comes back, nailing a Running Dropkick to the back of Widdel’s head, forcing it against the middle turnbuckle! Widdel’s legs give out and his head falls violently against the bottom turnbuckle as a result.
Kris Cruise: God…
Stephy Auger: Ohohoho, the gloves are
so off.
Stunray grins, gripping the top rope as he uses his boot to rub Daniel Widdel’s face against the bottom turnbuckle. Widdel struggles to breathe, gasping for air as Stunray laughs, allowing the frustrated ref to begin another five-count.
Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!
Stunray pivots and shoots the ropes again and rebounds, hitting yet another Dropkick to the back of Widdel’s head, driving his face against the bottom turnbuckle! Widdel goes limp and Stunray drags him out of the corner, flipping him over, hooking both legs for a pin!

THHH--!
Widdel kicks out again, throwing himself onto his stomach and throwing his arm over the bottom rope in the process. Stunray looks up toward the ramp for a moment before sliding out of the ring and grabbing Widdel’s arm, repeatedly driving it against the bottom rope, slamming his wrist against the apron! Widdel cries out in agony and again the referee is forced to administer a five-count, threatening the DQ!
Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE!
Stunray backs up and delivers a running boot straight to Widdel’s elbow! Widdel shrieks out in agony and rolls into the center of the ring, clutching his arm.
Kris Cruise: And suddenly, I’m betting Daniel Widdel is a little less inclined to hit that Flying Elbow.
Stephy Auger: We talk about opponents picking dudes apart… THIS is an opponent picking his enemy apart, Cruise! Daniel Widdel has been asking for this for ages and now he’s getting it in full. Stop cringing.
Stunray climbs onto the apron, gripping the bottom rope as he looks at Widdel with wide eyes. Slowly, Stunray ascends to the top turnbuckle, consistent with the speed at which Widdel rises to his own feet. As soon as Widdel is vertical, Stunray leaps from the top turnbuckle, hitting a Missile Dropkick to the temple! Widdel hits the mat violently with Stunray landing across his legs, rolling over back-first onto his chest, hooking the leg for a cover!

THR--!
Kris Cruise: Again, Daniel Widdel survives!
Daniel kicks out, rolling over to clutch his arm again as Stunray sits upright, thrown into the direction of the ramp. He looks to be nearly salivating as he looks up the ramp, clearly waiting for somebody. Stunray pulls himself up again, slowly turning back to Daniel Widdel…
...right as Widdel uses one last gasp of energy to force himself up and drive a boot into Stunray’s gut, followed by a Spike DDT! The audience roars and Stunray flips onto his back from the impact, lying motionless next to his foe! Many in the audience begin to clap and stomp, trying to will Daniel Widdel to his feet. Reaching his knees, steadying himself by clutching the middle rope, Widdel casts his gaze on the ramp for the first time. He rises to his feet and turns toward the rising Stunray-- and nails a second Spike DDT!
Kris Cruise: A second Spike DDT!
Widdel forces Stunray onto his back, looking down at the face of his opponent. Stunray reaches up, grabbing Widdel by the throat, eyes burning with rage, but Widdel slaps his hand away and yanks him up by the arm, hooking him for another DDT. Stunray shoves him away however, into the ropes! Widdel rebounds and Stunray locks in the Sleeper Hold! The audience groans as Widdel flails-- but Daniel counters into a Jawbreaker! Stunray staggers back and Widdel stumbles to his feet, nailing a Hangman’s Neckbreaker! Stunray bounces back to his feet-- and Widdel nails a second Hangman’s Neckbreaker! Widdel yells out in frustration and forces Stunray upright!
Stephy Auger: Ref!
Kris Cruise: Daniel Widdel has snapped!
Daniel Widdel hits a third Hangman’s Neckbreaker and Stunray screams out in agony, writhing in the mat. The ref tries to ask if Stunray wants to submit but Widdel moves past him and forces his foe up once more, turning him and delivering a fourth Hangman’s Neckbreaker!
Kris Cruise: Oh my God…
Stephy Auger: Four Neckbreakers!
Widdel forces Stunray up, seething. Stunray’s eyes roll into the back of his head and he delivers a slap to Widdel’s face… and Widdel immediately slaps him back, turning him around, delivering a fifth Hangman’s Neckbreaker! Stunray’s neck bends awkwardly against his shoulder and he flips to the canvas. The referee takes a knee again, asking if Stunray wants to submit, but Stunray shakes his head. Widdel shakes his head, grabbing Stunray by the hair this time, forcing him up to a knee… but the audience roars for something!
Stephy Auger: Look who it is, Cruise!
Daniel Widdel turns, eyes narrowing a bit as Delta Madison walks toward the ring, her eyes wide as she looks at the occupants. Stunray looks to be teetering on unconsciousness but a wide grin creeps across his face as his eyes fall toward Delta Madison coming down the ramp. Delta grabs the bottom rope, about to climb onto the apron, but the referee immediately warns her, telling her to stay out of the match!
Kris Cruise: Stunray with a low blow!
Widdel’s eyes are still locked on Delta as well-- and Stunray nails a solid low blow with his right arm behind the official’s back! Widdel’s jaw drops a bit and he falls to his knees before falling over to his side. Delta Madison drops down to the floor, an indistinguishable look on her face as she looks from Widdel to Stunray, who are side by side, writhing in agony-- though the smile has never left Stunray’s lips.
Kris Cruise: Why now? Why did Delta Madison choose now to come out here?
Stephy Auger: What did you want, Stunray to get his neck snapped, you sadist?! Luckily, Delta MAdison does NOT share your mentality! It’s obvious why she’s out here! She’s chosen Stunray!
Many in the audience begin to boo as they seem to come to the same conclusion as Auger. Stunray clutches his neck, gasping for air as he crawls into the corner. He tries to roll it a bit, but quickly pulls himself to his feet as he sees Widdel using the other corner to steady himself. Delta paces the perimeter of the ring and Stunray rushes across the corner as Widdel gets up, hitting him with a hard Clothesline to the back of the head! Widdel hits the corner and bounces back into a Back Suplex! Stunray, still holding a hand to his own neck, rises to his knee and looks at Delta with a grin.
”BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
Stunray slowly makes his way to the ropes, stepping out to the apron. He kneels down, looking excitedly toward Delta who smiles back at him faintly… before nodding for him to redirect his focus to the ring. Stunray’s smile grows wider and he turns his back, making his way to the turnbuckles.
Kris Cruise: I think Delta just told Stunray to get back at it!
Stephy Auger: Stunray is rejuvenated!
Stunray ascends to the top turnbuckle as Daniel Widdel shakily reaches his feet… and Stunray leaps off for a Senton Bomb to the standing Widdel, crushing him to the mat!
Kris Cruise: Stun Grenade! He got all of it!
Stunray sits atop Daniel and tucks his legs beneath his armpits in a rana-style pin for the cover while some in the audience count along, figuring it’s all but academic.

Widdel shoves Stunray off of him and Stunray lands on his stomach on the canvas, eyes wide while the audience erupts! Widdel shakes with rage, but slowly rises to his feet, blood now flowing from his already-cut lip and tongue. Stunray looks at him in confusion before he glares and rushes forward for a Clothesline-- but Widdel goes for one as well! Both men connect, both smashing violently into the canvas as a result. The audience applauds both men as they writhe on the mat in agony, neither looking entirely coherent.
Stephy Auger: These guys are willing to rip each other apart in there. I don’t know how much poor Stunray has left!
Kris Cruise: Neither of them has held anything back and it’s obvious here. I don’t know how much of a chance Daniel Widdel has out here though if Delta Madison, lurking at ringside, is on Stunray’s side like it honestly appears she is. It’s hard to dispute.
The ref looks to have no choice but to count both men out as they lie on the canvas.
”ONE!”

“FOUR!”
“FIVE!”
“SIXI!”Widdel begins to stir first, rolling onto his stomach, pushing himself to his hands and knees.

Spit flies from Stunray’s mouth and he turns, glaring back at Widdel… but his eyes widen as Daniel Widdel charges forward and delivers a straight boot to the jaw! Stunray is thrown back, awkwardly onto the back of his head and neck to a roar from the audience! Widdel drops into a cover, hooking the near leg!

Stunray throws the shoulder up and the audience explodes into a mixed reaction! Widdel puts a hand over his mouth, falling to the mat, squeezing his eyes shut, pounding a fist against the mat a single time in frustration. He slowly turns toward Delta, looking at her with disbelief. As we pan over to Delta Madison, however, she wears an emotionless expression. Widdel shakes his head and pulls himself up with the ropes. He runs toward the rising Stunray for a Clothesline-- but Stunray leaps up and counters into a Cross Armbreaker! Widdel cries out in agony and Stunray valiantly fights for the submission!
Kris Cruise: Armbar!
Stephy Auger: Widdel’s arm is already wrecked! He’s gonna tap!
The audience immediately starts an audible
”NO!” chant as Daniel writhes in the Cross Armbreaker! His eyes are visibly filled with tears of agony as he pulls himself toward the bottom rope. He reaches out with his free arm for the bottom, but Stunray jerks his body up and down, adding pressure to the move! Widdel shrieks out again, flailing his legs… but he reaches out and grabs the bottom rope! The Hawaiian crowd roars at the top of their lungs, as does Stunray, making an indistinguishable noise as he rolls over his shoulder and back to his feet. He looks toward Delta Madison, grinning wide.
”IT’S OVER! IT’S ALL OVER! I PROMISE! I… PROMISE…!”Stunray staggers to the fallen Widdel and forces him to his feet-- before hooking his left leg and nailing the Moss Covered, Three Handled Family Credenza! Widdel lies still on the mat and Stunray grins, making the cover, hooking both legs. The referee drops down to make the count!

Daniel Widdel throws the shoulder up! Stunray is thrown upright to a seated position, a look of disbelief on his face. He slowly turns, looking at Widdel, shaking his head. Stunray pushes himself up and stomps viciously at Daniel Widdel! Widdel writhes in pain on the mat and Stunray goes out to the apron before quickly ascending the top rope. He slaps his own elbow, grinning down at Widdel and then over at Delta, who smiles back up at him.
Kris Cruise: What is he…?
Stephy Auger: Exactly what Widdel deserves!
Stunray perches at the top before leaping from the top for the Diving Elbow Drop-- and Daniel Widdel moves!
Kris Cruise: Nobody home!
Stunray cries out as he slams into the canvas, but he slowly reaches his feet and Daniel does the same. Stunray turns around and Daniel Widdel charges forward, hitting an Enzuigiri! Stunray flips onto his back and Daniel wastes no time rolling out to the apron, earning a roar from Hawaii! He ascends to the top turnbuckle, looking with disgust toward Delta Madison before rising to his feet.
Kris Cruise: And now here’s the real thing!
Daniel Widdel sails off of the top rope and crashes down toward Stunray… but Stunray gets his knees up! Widdel’s body and injured arm smash into Stunray’s kneecaps! He screams out in pain and staggers to his feet, falling against the ropes! Stunray grins and rushes at Daniel, nailing him with a Clothesline that smashes his back against the ropes, before he goes to Irish Whip him--
Kris Cruise: Oh!
--and slams Widdel right into the referee! Widdel and the official both tumble to the mat and Stunray looks on, cursing under his breath.
Stephy Auger: AHH! ZEBRA DOWN!
Stunray paces, looking visibly upset for a moment, but he stops, turning toward Delta Madison, who gazes at him from the outside. Stunray smiles and walks toward the ropes, dropping to a knee, smile only growing broader as Delta Madison draws nearer.
Stephy Auger: But now it’s only a matter of time, Cruise!
Stunray turns and picks up the bloodied Daniel Widdel, throwing him throat-first over the middle rope. Stunray drives a knee into the base of his neck, choking him as he smiles down at Delta Madison. Delta grins back up at Stunray until Stunray finally releases Widdel. Widdel coughs, gagging and choking for air as he writhes on the canvas.
Kris Cruise: This is too much.
Stephy Auger: It’s not enough!
Stunray steps over Widdel and sinks to his knees in front of the ropes, grinning at Delta Madison. Delta smiles back at him, moving a hand to Stunray’s cheek. Boos resonate through the audience and Stunray looks longingly at his long lost flame, rising to his feet! Delta rises onto the apron, the two never taking their eyes off of each other. Stunray smirks, pointing back to Widdel, speaking in a voice loud enough for the camera crew and many in the hushing audience to hear.
Stunray: Tell him.
Tell them! Tell
them that you chose ME!
Stunray is nearly salivating. Delta nods a bit, moving a hand to Stunray’s cheek again.
Delta Madison: I chose…
She continues to nod, though her eyes drift past Stunray, toward Widdel to a roar from the crowd.
Delta Madison: ...you…
And with that, Delta’s expressioin turns cross. She grabs Stunray by both sides of his face as he looks at her, mortified. Delta leaps down from the apron, snapping Stunray’s throat across the top rope!
Kris Cruise: Yes!
Stephy Auger: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Stunray gags, stumbling, turning around and falling to the mat, seemingly on top of the grounded Daniel Widdel-- but Widdel catches the falling Stunray in the Koji Clutch! The audience reaches a deafening roar and the wide-eyed Stunray struggles to escape the clutch as the referee stirs!
Kris Cruise: Narcotic!
Stephy Auger: NO! NO! NO!
Delta Madison turns, smirking as she walks back up the ramp to an eruption from the audience. She passes Amiee Widdel as the two cross paths. The words they exchange can’t be picked up, but moments later, Delta continues her trek. Amiee turns back toward the ring and the cameras pan back as well! The ref stumbles to his feet and Stunray’s face has lost all color in the Narcotic!
Kris Cruise: Is this it?!
Stephy Auger: NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Stunray raises a hand and taps weakly against the mat before seeming to lose consciousness! Even as the bell sounds, Widdel maintains his grip on the Koji Clutch!
Kris Cruise: This is over!
DING!
DING!
DING!The bell has to sound for a second time before Daniel Widden mercifully releases the hold, rolling onto his side with a pained look on his face as Amiee Widdel slides into the ring!
J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen… here is your winner, DANNIEEEEEEEEEEL WIDDDELLLLLLLLLL!
The audience roars as “Nothing Personal” hits the PA system. Widdel stumbles to his feet, using Amiee for support. She pulls Daniel into a hug and we pan down to Stunray, who lies stomach-down on the mat, his eyes half-lidded, breathing heavily… looking utterly defeated.
Stephy Auger: I can’t handle this.
Kris Cruise: Daniel Widdel is victorious in this war! Delta Madison has chosen Daniel, has chosen reason and
friendship over Stunray!
Stephy Auger: This is a tragedy.
Widdel and Amiee celebrate outside of the ring, pausing only for a moment to allow the referee to raise Daniel’s hand! The audience clamors to reach out for the pair, but we soon pan back over to Stunray, who shakes, eyes wide on the apron, clearly on the verge of tears.
Kris Cruise: Daniel Widdel earns the “W” and after this match, I have to hope that this is the final chapter in this war!
We pan back to the Widdels as Daniel flashes one more bloody grin to the audience.
Stephy Auger: I hope, Cruise. I hope. But Delta Madison broke my heart tonight. She broke all our hearts!
Kris Cruise: Oh, cut it out.
Stephy Auger: I won’t recover from this, nor will Stunray!
As Daniel and Amiee make their way up the ramp, Stunray continues to shake on the apron, eyes bloodshot, wide, and wet, as we fade away.
