MAIN EVENT
Evan Envi vs. Logan Alexander
Melanie Sierra: The following contest is the main event of the evening, set for one fall!
This earns a loud pop from the Minnesota audience, which only grows louder as “Endless Possibility” begins to play through the arena. Partway through the instrumental opening of the song, the camera begins panning the crowd. A bit unexpectedly, Logan Alexander emerges out from the main entryway rather than through the crowd tonight. He starts making his way down the entry ramp towards the ringside area, Ashlyn De Luca following a few paces behind him. Logan slaps the outstretched hands of fans as he makes his way past, with a half smirk on his face as he goes.
Melanie Sierra: Introducing first, on his way to the ring, being accompanied by Ashlyn De Luca, representing the Chaotics, weighing in at two hundred and twenty-nine pounds, hailing from Toronto, Ontario Canada, he is one half of the 2017 Dynamic Duos Tournament winners… LOGAN AAAALEXANDER!
Once he reaches the ringside area, Logan makes his way over to the closest set of ring steps and climbs up to the ring apron. He climbs between the top and middle ropes and enters the ring. He turns towards the near corner and climbs up to the second turnbuckle and spread his arms wide to either side of him, smiling out towards the crowd as he encouraging them on. Ashlyn De Luca walks the ring on the outside, an eye up to Logan.
Geoff Penzer: Things got a little heated backstage earlier tonight between the Chaotics and the Tag Team Champions. You have to wonder if that’s in his head getting ready for this match tonight.
He then climbs down and makes his way over to another corner and repeats the process, doing so until he’s been to all four corners of the ring.
Geoff Penzer: Ladies and gentlemen, if you’ve never seen Evan Envi and Logan Alexander compete with one another, you’re in for a treat tonight. For ten years, these men have fought from company to company, and tonight they find themselves in the main event on Flashpoint. Logan Alexander has only suffered one loss since signing with the company, two weeks ago to Dan Herrera. Meanwhile, Evan Envi is wrestling his first FGA match since All-Star Showdown.
After climbing down from the last set of turnbuckles, Logan turns away and walks over to the side of the ring closest to the timekeeper’s area. He removes his sunglasses and tucks them into a pocket of his jacket. He then removes his jacket and passes it through the ropes, which Ashlyn takes for him. The two exchange a fist bump before Logan turns away and moves over to one corner of the ring, away from the entryway, then leans back against the turnbuckles as he awaits the arrival of his opponent.
Melanie Sierra: And his opponent…!
The frantic opening to “Can You Feel It?” hits the PA system to a deafening mixed reaction from the audience. As purple-colored strobes flicker throughout the darkened arena, Evan Envi walks through the curtains toward the top of the ramp. He pauses, looking out among the audience before the lights slowly brighten a bit. Evan Envi sports a custom purple “47” jersey, complete with a hood similar to his former ring jacket, turning his back to the ring as he backs down the ramp, displaying it to a pop from the audience. The camera pans to several fans in the crowd that display either their own “47” jerseys, or purple paper with the number simply chalked onto it in yellow. Envi smirks a bit, rolling his eyes toward the ring as he continues his trek.
Melanie Sierra: Hailing from Ocean City, Maryland, weighing in at two hundred and four pounds, he is “The Chief” …
number forty-seven… EVAAAANNNN EEENNNVIIII!
The announcement does earn another roar from the crowd, though the boos inevitably trickle in seconds later. Finally, as Envi walks up the steel steps and onto the apron, the lights slowly, completely return to normal. Envi climbs the ropes like a staircase, raising the double “V” fingers into the air as he pauses on the top turnbuckle and then drops down into the ring, fingers still raised above his head as he marches toward the far set of ropes, looking out into the audience… before slowly turning his gaze toward Logan, hands still raised. The two remain locked in the stare for upwards of twenty seconds before Evan’s music finally fades and he allows his arms to fall to his side.
Geoff Penzer: These men haven’t seen each other inside a wrestling ring in more than four years.
Both men are backed away as the ref checks either wrestler for obvious weapons. He checks to make sure both are ready before he signals for the bell!
Geoff Penzer: And Logan Alexander versus Evan Envi is underway!
Evan Envi begins to lunge at Logan, but Logan looks ready to catch his slightly smaller opponent! Evan pivots, swerving out of Logan’s reach, stepping backwards into the turnbuckles with a small chuckle. Evan’s smile fades into a scowl and he walks the ropes, looking Logan up and down. Evan moves around Logan, who shifts closer to the middle of the ring and pivots to keep Evan in front of him. After a few moments of jockeying for position like this, Evan moves in to lock up, but Logan ducks away from Evan. Evan quickly withdraws, bracing for a follow up, but Logan lets him go unchallenged.
Geoff Penzer: That’s an unexpected opening move from Logan. Is he playing with Evan here, or is something else going on?
Logan shifts back towards the middle of the ring, Evan eying him a bit warily. They move to lock up, and Logan shifts as though to duck out again, but Evan follows the movement, only for Logan to catch him with an unexpected jab to the face. Evan is sent reeling back, more surprised than hurt by the strike. Logan again hangs back instead of following up. Ashlyn De Luca applauds for a moment on the outside and Evan nods at Logan a little, backing into the corner again. He steps up onto the second turnbuckle… and then steps up to the top, earning a pop from Minnesota.
Geoff Penzer: Evan’s on the top rope and now here we are with the two basically
daring the other to do something!
Logan Alexander crosses his arms and looks at Evan with a challenging look until Evan begins to perch a bit. Logan sighs and takes a few steps back. Evan rises back up and smirks… but dives from the top anyway, shoulder-rolling and popping up into Logan Alexander! Logan nails a hard elbow to the back, but Envi shoulder-rushes him into the corner!
Geoff Penzer: There we go!
Logan looks dazed for a moment, before the two start trading short jabs to the ribs from different angles, but the official quickly gets involved, raising a hand between the two.
Ref: One! Two! Three!
Evan finally breaks at three, backing away, hands raised in the air. Logan nods a little and gingerly steps out of the corner as well. The audience begins to buzz louder as the two grow closer-- and finally the two engage in a collar-and-elbow tie-up! Logan begins to force Envi back… but Envi pushes back before he hits the ropes and pivots, transitioning into a side headlock! Logan lowers his arms and positions Envi for a Backdrop, but Envi drops down, grabbing the arm of Logan, swinging him to the mat with a low Arm Drag. Logan slowly rises to a knee giving Envi time to measure him and pop up for a Dropkick, but Logan sways backwards, avoiding it by inches. Quickly, he rolls Envi into the La Magistral Cradle! The ref drops immediately into the cover!

Envi kicks out, rolling to his feet, dropping back to a seated position on the middle rope as he narrows his eyes at Alexander, who rises up with a half-smile and one hand behind himself, holding his back briefly, before settling more comfortably on his feet.
Geoff Penzer: These two are off to a quick start here. Logan seems a little sluggish out there though. He may still be feeling the effects from the Walking Papers two weeks ago. He seems to be keeping up with Evan though.
Envi gets back to his feet and steps out to meet Logan in the middle of the ring once again. Logan starts to force Envi backwards, but Envi slips loose and gets around behind Logan applying a waistlock. Logan quickly replies with a back elbow, staggering Envi, but not breaking the hold. Logan goes for a second one, only for Envi to duck and release his hold. Logan swings around to face Envi and is rocked by a forearm shot and another. Envi follows with a kick to the midsection then grabs hold of Logan’s head, tucking his underneath and delivering a jawbreaker, that sends Logan staggering backwards into the ropes. Envi quickly moves in and begins landing unopposed body shots on Logan as the ref tells him to get off the ropes. Envi obliges by pulling Logan away from the ropes and using a snapmare takedown to seat Logan none to gently on the mat. Logan immediately reaches up to grab hold of the back of his neck, allowing Envi to hit the far ropes and connect with a seated dropkick that knocks Logan flat. Envi follows up with a lateral press and the ref drops to count!

Logan throws a shoulder up, rolling onto his side and onto his stomach. He holds one hand to the back of his neck and kicks at the mat with one foot as he lies there. Envi looks at Logan, hanging back with a look of skepticism as the ref checks on him.
Geoff Penzer: Evan Envi seems to be laying into the neck and body of Logan, which can’t be in great shape if circulating reports are correct.
The ref backs off when Logan gives him a nod and Envi follows up with another running dropkick to the side of the head of the rising Alexander. Logan hits the mat and immediately rolls out of the ring. Envi shakes his head and pivots, shooting the ropes. He rebounds, going for a Baseball Slide to Alexander but Logan side-steps and immediately grabs Envi by the base of the neck, throwing him at full-speed into the barricade! Envi cries out, knees buckling as he slams into it-- and Alexander follows up with an Enzuigiri to the back of the neck, knocking Envi to his knees! Logan holds his back as he climbs up… but nails a second Enzuigiri to the back of the rising Envi’s neck, knocking Envi against the barricade and roughly to the ground as Logan lands on his hands and knees.
Geoff Penzer: Logan Alexander used Evan’s momentum against him and then just put his boot to the back of his neck twice! Evan’s down and the ref is about to count these guys out! I don’t think these guys intended for this to spill to the outside, but it’s favored Logan here-- which isn’t what I would’ve expected!
The ref begins his count inside the ring.

THREE!Envi is forced to his feet in a side headlock position, but drives an elbow into the gut of Alexander. Envi cries out and drives a forearm into Logan’s forehead, before rocking him with a European Uppercut! Logan staggers back… but comes back toward Envi for a Superkick to a pop from the crowd!
Geoff Penzer: Envi catches it! The ref’s up to the count of five!
Envi pulls Logan toward him and positions him for the Alabama Slam! Ashlyn screams for Envi not to do it! Evan steps forward toward the apron… but hesitates! Logan squirms free and counters with a Sunset Flip! He stands upright and blasts the seated Envi with a Superkick to the jaw! The audience roars and Envi falls flat onto his back, dazed.
Geoff Penzer: Evan was going to hit that Spinebuster against the apron like he’s done to many in the past, but he hesitated, and he might have paid for it! The ref is up to seven! Logan could probably take the countout victory here! Evan Envi is not moving!
SEVEN!
EIGHT!Logan uses all of his strength to force Envi to his feet. He rolls him into the ring beneath the bottom rope, gasping for air as he does so.
NINE!Logan holds his back, but dives into the ring underneath the bottom rope, directly into a cover on Envi, hooking the far leg, grapevining the near one for a deep cover!

THRE-!
Envi throws the shoulder up to a gasp, and mixed reaction from the audience!
Geoff Penzer: Just a moment from victory, but Evan hangs on!
Logan rolls off of Envi and the two lie there catching their breath for a few moments. They roll away from one another and Envi is the first to sit up, with Logan following shortly after. Envi gets to his feet and rushes Logan who fires off a Superkick. Envi ducks under it and rocks Logan with a European uppercut, then a second that staggers Logan backwards. Envi then lands a Superkick of his own, sending Logan back into the ropes. Envi grabs hold of Logan and whips him across the ring. On his return, Evan grabs Logan with a belly to belly suplex and tosses him the rest of the way across the ring and out under the bottom rope to the floor.
Geoff Penzer: Evan has quickened the pace and tossed Logan right back out of the ring with a big suplex there.
Envi leans against the ropes, looking down at Logan, a smirk slowly crossing his face. He looks toward De Luca and then out toward the audience, pointing a finger gun at the hard camera, earning a deep chorus of boos from Minnesota. Envi performs the same gesture toward De Luca, who rolls her eyes at him before Envi drops to his back and rolls out of the ring, sitting on the apron as Logan rises.
Geoff Penzer: Evan’s historically had a pretty bad relationship with Minnesota. This is… a positive reaction compared to what we normally see.
Logan holds his back and rises to his feet-- only to be taken down with a Running Senton Bomb from Envi! Envi leaps onto the steps, raising the double “V” signals to the audience, who greets him with a more mixed reaction. He winks at Ashlyn again before turning and rolling into the ring to break the ref’s count at three, rolling right back out to pull Logan upright and begin to Irish Whip him toward the steel steps-- but Logan reverses, sending Evan careening at full-speed, shoulder-first into the steps, separating the top from the bottom!
Geoff Penzer: Logan reverses, and the Chief is in trouble!
Logan uses the ring skirt to pull himself up. Envi, shaking, staggers to his feet. Logan mutters to himself, as if reconsidering his next move… before nodding to himself and rushing forward, hitting Envi with a Swinging Neckbreaker! Both men cry out in pain but Envi writhes, taking the brunt of the move, clutching his own neck and left shoulder. The ref rolls out of the ring, checking on both men while the audience applauds.
Geoff Penzer: Swinging Neckbreaker on the outside and they’re both down! Logan had to think that one over, but he swung and may have hit a home run there. Again though, they find themselves down on the outside of the ring.
Logan and Envi both wave the ref off and climb back to their feet, where they start to tee off on one another, trading forearm shots and receiving cheers or boos depending on who was landing the shot. After trading a dozen shots, Logan lands a headbutt that drops Envi to a knee. Logan backs off and rolls back into the ring. Envi climbs back onto the ring apron and Logan rises to meet him. Logan throws a punch, but Evan blocks it and lands one of his own, creating separation. Envi then quickly hops up onto the top rope and launches himself towards Logan landing an elbow strike right between his eyes. Logan drops to the mat as Envi hits the mat and rolls to a crouch. He then thrusts one arm into the air flashing just a single “V” to the audience drawing a few more boos than before. He smirks slightly then rolls back out onto the apron. He judges his position, then hops up to the top rope again and drops another springboard elbow to the prone Alexander. As if for good measure, he rolls to a knee and forces the shaken Logan up to a knee as well-- before delivering a Snap DDT! The audience groans. Evan’s quick to hook the far leg and go for a cover!

TH-!
Logan is able to roll a shoulder up to cheers from the crowd. Envi turns to glare at the ref who signals two.
Geoff Penzer: A close fall there for Evan, who’s taken to the air to reclaim the advantage. These heavy blows he’s landing seem to be taking a toll on Logan in there. You have to wonder how much he has left given that he came in at less than one hundred percent to start.
Envi climbs back to his feet and start laying into Logan with stomps. Logan throws up his arms to guard his head and neck, allowing Envi to just batter his torso. Envi then backs off from Logan and hits the ropes and runs back towards Logan, then stops and reaches down to slap him. This earns a far more unanimous chorus of boos from the crowd, though Envi just chuckles a little, shrugging in the direction of the audience.
Geoff Penzer: Just a disrespectful move from Evan there.
Envi smiles out towards the crowd before heading towards the near corner and climbing to the top rope there. He looks out at the crowd again, throws up another double “V’ sign and then dives off the top rope for a moonsault… that gets nothing but mat as Logan rolls away towards the corner!
Geoff Penzer: No one home! Evan took a few moments to taunt his downed opponent and seems to have paid for it here! Can Logan take advantage though?
Ashlyn slaps on the apron, leading the audience in a rhythmic clap to get behind Alexander! Logan uses the turnbuckles to guide himself to his feet while Evan Envi begins crawling toward the corner on the other side. The audience reaches a fever pitch once Logan finally reaches a vertical base and turns toward Evan with a glare; a look of intensity behind his eyes.
Geoff Penzer: And I think Logan Alexander is feeling it now!
Envi groans, wincing as he turns around-- right into a Spear from Logan! The shot connects and Envi flies through the air, landing just inches from the turnbuckle with Logan nearly landing head-first on the canvas from the impact!
Geoff Penzer: MY GOD! Logan got such speed-- such air on that Spear! I thought he spiked himself, but I think he got his hand down!
Logan Alexander pulls himself back up to his feet, nodding out to the audience as they come to their feet! He stalks Evan to his feet-- and nails the Reverse STO; Chaotic Impact! Logan rolls to his knees and stands upright, beckoning Evan to his feet again! Evan looks groggy, using the ropes to pull himself up. He practically falls backwards into a rear waist lock from Alexander, taken to the canvas with a German Suplex! Logan clutches the hold and rolls up to his feet-- but positions Evan across his shoulders in a Reverse Fireman’s Carry to a roar from the crowd!
Geoff Penzer: Are we about to see a Burning Hammer here?! Logan looking for the Chaotic Revolution!
Envi fights wildly to get off of Logan’s shoulders, sensing the danger, but Logan shakes his head! He throws Envi off for the Reverse Death Valley Driver… but Envi lands on his feet! Logan goes for a stomp to Envi’s gut, but Envi counters, grabbing the right ankle of Logan and taking him off of his feet into the Ankle Lock! The audience boos loudly, but Logan quickly begins crawling to the ropes! He is inches away-- but Envi drags him back to the center of the ring and drops down into the Grapevine, screaming at the top of his lungs!
Geoff Penzer: The Ankle Lock! For the historians out there, the first time Evan Envi won a professional match was against Logan Alexander in 2007 with this very move! There’s no cage this time, but there’s ten more years of experience on that hold!
While a select few scream out chants of
”TAP!”, a vast majority of the audience begins a
”LET’S GO LOGAN!” Envi rolls from side to side, applying pressure to the Grapevine Ankle Lock and Logan clutches his head, as if to hide the pain. Ashlyn paces, biting her lip nervously on the outside, but she turns, screaming for Logan to crawl toward her. Logan buries his elbows into the canvas, crawling across the mat… inching himself closer…
Geoff Penzer: Logan is centimeters away!
Envi is quick to release the grapevine on Logan and get back to his feet while maintaining hold of Logan’s right ankle. He then drags him back towards the center of the ring, looking to reapply the Ankle Lock. This time though, Logan is able to lift his upper body with both arms and somersault forward, sending Envi hurtling forward and through the ropes, where he nearly crashes into Ashlyn who is just quick enough to side step. Logan remains sitting on the mat, holding his ankle in obvious discomfort. Outside the ring, Envi pushes himself up, asking Ashlyn what she’s looking at. Ashlyn laughs, throwing her hands up, saying
“I’m not the one that threw you on your ass” to a cheer from those in the front. Envi climbs back onto the ring apron, looking back down at Ashlyn. Logan makes his way over, limping just a bit on his sore ankle. Envi sees him coming and leans back to avoid Logan attempt to grab him, then drives his shoulder into Logan’s midsection through the ropes. He then slingshots himself over the ropes and rolls Logan over with a sunset flip, which Logan rolls backwards through, to get back to his feet and grab hold of Envi’s legs.
Geoff Penzer: Perfect Chaos Theory! Logan’s looking for it here!
Logan pulls Envi away from the ropes and towards the middle of the ring, but as he goes to step through his legs, Envi pulls his legs back towards himself and then kicks them out again, throwing Logan off him. Envi is quick to scramble back to the ropes before Logan can get back to him.
Geoff Penzer: Evan is able to escape though, but he looks a bit shaken up by the near miss.
Logan steps closer and Envi puts his upper body between the ropes and yells at the referee to get Logan to back off. Seeing as Envi is in the ropes, the ref does so to allow Envi to get back to his feet, which the crowd doesn’t seem to appreciate except for the clearly vocal Envi supporters. Once Envi is up Logan steps around the ref to get at him. Envi ducks away from the forearm Logan throws at him and counters with a sharp kick to Logan’s ankle. Logan hops back in response then Envi sends him further back with a European uppercut. Following with a kick to the gut, Envi cinches Logan for a suplex attempt. He tries to lift him, but Logan blocks. Envi tries again and gets blocked again. Now a bit more frustrated, Envi throws forearm shots to Logan’s back and sends Logan down to a knee. Envi cinches him again, and gets him up, but Logan twists free as he’s going over and lands on his feet behind Evan, locking in an inverted facelock on the way down. He quickly follows with an inverted DDT onto his own knee, forcing Envi to bend backwards across it. Logan quickly adjusts his grip on Envi, trapping his arms as he locks in a Dragon Sleeper in the middle of the ring!
Geoff Penzer: And now Evan is trapped in the middle of the ring in a submission hold! Logan has that sleeper locked in tight though. I’m not sure if Evan has anywhere to go!
Envi is struggling in Logan’s grasp, attempting to get free or at least relieve the pressure on him. Logan doesn’t budge as he’s dropped down to one knee to keep himself balanced and to force Envi to have to drag him if he wants to get to the ropes. The ref is right there checking on Envi, who is refusing to quit. After almost half a minute though, it doesn’t look like Envi has any way out. He grabs hold of Logan with his arms and plants his feet to bridge his body upwards, relieving some pressure on his back, but letting Logan cinch in the sleeper even tighter. But now anchored to Logan, Envi is able to kick off the mat and swing his lower body up, allowing his to drive a knee into Logan’s head and topple him over backwards. With Logan stunned on the mat, Envi takes a breath, hunched over, before shooting the ropes. He rebounds with a Running Shooting Star Press to a mixed reaction from the crowd!
Geoff Penzer: Envi with the Running Shooting Star Press, not messing around that time! But he can’t capitalize!
Evan holds his neck, aggravated for the second time of the match… but he brings his knees to his chest and kips up, screaming
”WOOOOOOO!” into the air before turning and delivering a hard stomp to Logan’s right ankle. Logan cries out and rolls onto his stomach, pushing himself up to his hands and knees. Evan nails a running football punt to the shin and calf area! Envi bends down, saying something to Logan before he shoots the ropes… and rebounds with a Shining Axe Kick to the back of the head! Logan’s face is driven into the canvas and the audience comes alive again! Envi pushes Logan onto his back and hooks the far leg!

Logan kicks out and Envi immediately forces him upright, both hands around his jaw! Evan throws Logan against the ropes and hits him with a rapid series of interchanging European Uppercuts and knife-edged chops! Chants of
”WOOO!” ring out through the crowd along with a background chorus of boos. The ref has no choice but to count Evan out as he lays into Logan, who now falls against the middle rope, trying to cover up!
Ref: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!
Evan backs away and Logan stumbles off the ropes… but Evan cries out and strides forward, blasting Logan with the Kapowski Kick! Evan’s foot follows Logan’s head all the way to the canvas to groans and boos from the crowd. Envi turns, walking to the ropes to look down at Ashlyn again, smirking at her as she shakes her head. Logan is shakily getting to his feet again, but Evan rocks him with a forearm to the jaw. Logan falls against the ropes and falls forward into a Fisherman’s Suplex from Envi! Envi rolls through, however and picks Logan up, following up with a Northern Lights Suplex! The ref drops down to count… but Envi rolls through once more to an impressive roar from the crowd, redfaced, packaging Logan in his arms, pacing around the ring in a brief display of strength before launching Logan back into the center of the ring with an Exploder Suplex!
Geoff Penzer: Three brutal Suplexes! Logan is out! But Evan’s going up top one more time!
Evan ascends to the middle turnbuckle, and then finally to the top, looking back over his shoulder at Logan Alexander. He stands upright and leaps off, nailing a Diving Moonsault across the ribcage of Alexander!
Geoff Penzer: Picture-perfect Moonsault!
Envi writhes on the mat himself for a moment, but crawls back to Alexander, throwing himself across him, hooking the far leg! The audience counts along with the ref!

Logan cries out in pain and Envi shoulder-rolls backwards out of the ring over the bottom rope, grabbing Logan’s head as he drops to the floor, snapping his neck across the middle rope a second time!
”BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
Geoff Penzer: God…
Envi climbs up onto the apron, ignoring the booing from the audience and the scolding from the ref. He makes his way to the corner and ascends to the top turnbuckle, slowly rising to his feet as he looks at the grounded Logan. Envi shakes his head… and leaps from the top for the 450 Splash!
Geoff Penzer: Helter Skel-- NO!
Logan gets his knees up to a roar from the audience! Envi cries out in agony, shakily maneuvering himself back to his feet! Logan still coughs for air as he holds his neck but on one good leg, he forces himself to his feet. Evan falls against the ropes yet again, but comes at Logan, swinging for a hard forearm! Evan Envi throws his good leg onto the bottom rope!
Geoff Penzer: Three…? No! Envi with his foot on the bottom rope!
The referee calls off the count to a mixed reaction from the crowd! Logan looks back toward the bottom rope with a dejected look. He sighs and turns, lowering his head for a moment, bouncing a fist off the canvas to will himself into it while Ashlyn once again leads a clap, slamming her hands against the apron.
Geoff Penzer: Logan’s disappointed. Logan’s back, his ankle, his neck, his throat all hurt, but he needs to stay on Evan. Evan has no idea where he is and the next big move could permanently ground the Chief. What a battle!
Logan stands upright, jaw and fists clenched through the pain. Evan throws a jab into his ribcage, but Logan shakes his head and forces him up-- hitting a standard Implant DDT!
Geoff Penzer: Another Chaotic Shockwave! And-- oh! Rear Naked Choke! Revised Chaos Theory!
Logan has indeed turned Evan over and locked in the choke! Envi flails, looking for the ropes which are a mere six inches away from his outstretched hand… but Logan rolls Evan away from them, squeezing the hold with all of his might!
Geoff Penzer: Evan might have to tap out or get choked out!
Chants of
”TAP!” prevail over chants of
”EVAN ENVI!” and Logan wrenches the hold. Evan seems to be fading, losing some color… but as the ref grabs his hand, Envi springs to life. He fires hard elbows back, catching Logan in his head twice. Logan shifts again, but Envi uses the momentum to continue rolling, out to the apron. Logan is forced to break the hold as the ref acknowledges the obvious rope break, but he uses the ropes to pull himself to his feet anyway. Logan steps up onto the bottom turnbuckle and reaches out to the apron, grabbing Envi. He takes a deep breath-- and brings Envi over the ropes and into the ring with a Snap Suplex! They both land hard in the ring. Logan releasing his hold on Envi and rolling over onto all fours. He looks at Envi as he then rolls over at well. Struggling back up to their feet again, they start to trade punches, though not as energetically as they had been earlier. Logan gets the upper hand in this exchange and pushes Envi back towards the ropes with a succession of right hands. Envi manages to deliver a thumb to the eye of Logan that goes undetected by the ref. Logan staggers away with on hand covering his eye. Envi goes to take advantage, grabbing Logan in a rear waistlock looking for a German suplex. Logan reaches out in front of him, grabbing hold of the ropes, anchoring himself as Envi tries to haul him up.
Geoff Penzer: Evan looking for another suplex here. Dropping Logan on his head with that might just be enough to end this, but Logan is holding onto the ropes for dear life!
Envi releases the waistlock and begins hammering away on Logan’s back in frustration, driving Logan down to one knee. Envi then yanks him back from the ropes and connects with a devastating single leg lung blower to Logan’s back. Logan lets out a strangled cry of pain as he fall over onto the mat beside Envi.
Geoff Penzer: My God… Backpack Attack by Evan Envi and I think that might be it here.
Envi steps over Logan, grabbing hold of his arms, crossing them over and then sits back on him with a Straightjacket Hold. Logan looks to be in agonizing pain as Envi yells at him to “TAP DANGIT!!” The ref is right there in front of Logan asking him if he wants to quit. Logan doesn’t look like he’s got any way out of this hold and appears as though he isn’t responding. The ref looks about ready to call the match and he stands up to do so.
Geoff Penzer: This thing is about to be called, possibly via KO!
His attention is drawn to Ashlyn on the outside, who’s pointing frantically behind Envi.
Geoff Penzer: Hold on! Ashlyn De Luca’s pointing something out… oh!
The referee looks past Envi and sees that one of Logan’s feet is underneath the ropes. The ref immediately calls for Envi to release the hold, and Evan cannot believe it. He drops his hold and stands up, glancing back towards the ropes and then turns to begin arguing with the ref. Logan meanwhile looks like he’s out of it as he lies prone on the mat.
Geoff Penzer: Wow… just wow! I cannot believe that myself. Someway, somehow, Logan managed to get a foot under the ropes, but Ashlyn De Luca was the only one here that actually saw it. I think the referee was about to end this match before she drew his attention to it. But I think the damage is already done… I don’t see how Logan can get back up after the Backpack Attack from Evan.
After almost half a minute of arguing with the ref, an irate Envi turns around and focuses back on Logan. He walks over to him and grabs hold of him, pulling him up to his feet and trapping him in a butterfly lock.
Geoff Penzer: The Chief has him up for the Blues! Ladies and gentlemen…
With only a few moments of hesitation to glance around at the crowd and yell out “IT’S DONE!” he plants Logan with the Blues (Scissored Snap Double-Arm DDT)! He rolls him over and hooks the far leg.

The bell sounds and Evan Envi sits upright, wiping sweat off of his face. Ashlyn De Luca immediately slides into the ring, looking at Envi for a moment as she passes him before moving over to Logan Alexander, on her elbows and knees beside him, speaking into his ear.
Melanie Sierra: Here is your winner… “The Chief” EVAAANNN ENVIIII!
“Can You Feel It?” hits the PA system and Envi continues to sit, allowing the ref to raise his hand. He raises his other hand in a “V” signal, lowering it to rub his neck a bit as he looks at Ashlyn and then at Logan, who begins to stir. Evan moves to a knee and watches Ashlyn help Logan to his feet while the TV audience begins to watch replays of highlights from the match.
Geoff Penzer: This was a hell of a match, ladies and gentlemen. I don’t think you can take anything away from ether man. At the end, it’s Evan Envi standing… or sitting tall. But Logan Alexander, two weeks removed from a concussion-- possibly less than a day or two cleared to wrestle-- took the Chief to his limit. The Chief fought alongside Julian Tijerina against Lowri Moss and Annie Zellor two weeks ago in New Kingdom Pro, and came up short. He entered Hard Knox Wrestling’s Golden Opportunity Rumble and came up short. But tonight, Evan came back to FGA and earned a victory over a man he used to call a friend, a partner--
Geoff stops as Envi’s music fades and he rises to his feet, looking at Logan who does the same. The two look at each other for a moment, the audience falling quiet in anticipation. Envi moves close and says something that even the cameras and ring mics can’t pick up. Logan nods and says something back before offering a hand.
Geoff Penzer: Fantastic sportsmanship.
Evan nods to Logan and accepts his hand before pulling him into a hug to a roar from the audience. “Can You Feel It?” hits once more and Evan pulls away, giving Logan and Ashlyn a nod. Ashlyn smiles a bit, backing away, dropping onto the middle rope to allow Logan to exit. Logan says something else to Evan, only audible to the three people in the ring. He steps out through the ropes and drops to the floor, Ashlyn following suit as Envi stands in the ring, nodding to them both and then winking out to the audience, who responds with a mixed reaction.
Geoff Penzer: Ladies and gentlemen, that’s just about it for tonight. Evan Envi and Logan Alexander put on a clinic, but as for the rest of Flashpoint, we’ve got a long road ahead up until our anniversary show! What a night!
We fade away as Envi poses atop the turnbuckles, double “V” signals raised high in the air among a deafening Minnesota crowd.
