Amanda Johnson: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm here with the pair of Dom Harter and Jaelynn Ramsey.
She says as the duo walk into shot from either side; they flank Amanda, who does her best not to look intimidated by the looming presence over each shoulder as she speaks again.
Amanda Johnson: A mixed evening for you both. Jaelynn lost to Luke Jackson by disqualification early in the night, before Dom, you managed to beat NEON. How are you both feeling about this one?
Dom steers the microphone towards himself first. He's long since got changed out of his ring attire, and is now wearing a pair of jeans and a white t-shirt with a Jester hat on the front. His hair is still glistening wet from the shower, but styled in a fauxhawk like he used to wear.
Dom Harter: First and foremost, I did tonight exactly what I said I'd do: I beat NEON cleanly in the center of that ring! I overcame the odds, the numbers game, and every other obstacle the 'Queen of Mean'...
Dom uses the air quotes as he gives Jae a sideways glance, raising his eyebrows to give the impression he doesn't believe in NEON's moniker. Ramsey just smirks at the motions.
Dom Harter: ...and maybe Jimmy Page will have some thoughts on it next Saturday night; he'll try and rain on my parade, because he's Jimmy Page and if he's not happy then nobody else is allowed to be either! But for now I'll take that victory and ride the momentum into the next match, and I'll knock down whoever's standing in front of me then too.
Amanda Johnson: You're obviously not booked for Vertigo next week, but there is an interesting name on the card--
Beat.
Dom Harter: No relation.
Amanda Johnson: --I didn't even--
Jaelynn Ramsey: You didn't have to, Amanda. But Dom's explained this before - it's a common surname, it doesn't necessarily mean they're related. And Dom Harter is nothing if not a man of his word...
Dom Harter: Damn right! But I'll be there next week to watch what happens when Jimmy Page takes on the rookie from SCCW. But that's all I'll say on the subject for now; I don't want Jimmy to accuse me of talking non stop about him. So let's talk about what can only be described as
highway robbery, right?
He motions across to Jaelynn, who has also now changed out of her ring attire; she's now dressed in black leggings, a neon green tunic top, and black boots.
Jaelynn Ramsey: I went into the match with what I was aiming for, bringing out the aggression and having no mercy for 'The Kid.' I realized he was no Susan Kent, however, I am obviously the tougher out of the 'Oaklanders.' My confidence nor momentum wasn't going anywhere, as I had something offensively speaking.
She sighs, now gathering her thoughts for the less than pleasant portion of the interview.
Jaelynn Ramsey: I heard the fan reactions go from cheering to boos within seconds. When I didn't hear that 'POP' of chants favoring Luke, that's where I gathered this was going in a different direction. There was no need to recover as Bristow and Barnes stuck their snouts as if they could not have met with Jackson afterwards.
Major eyeroll from the blonde.
Amanda Johnson: So, are you say--
Dom Harter: I think that's exactly what she's saying, Amanda. The fact of the matter is that until those Harbingers--
Dom stops to shudder as a chill runs down his spine.
Dom Harter: --of the Apocalypse interfered, Jaelynn was doing exactly what I predicted she would. She was thrilling those fans with the best match of the night. And they robbed these FGA fans of that, they robbed Jaelynn of her first win here in FGA, and worst of all ... they appear to have injured Luke Jackson. Get well soon, Luke!
Dom taps his heart twice with his fist before turning back to Jaelynn.
Jaelynn Ramsey: And what a win that was going to be! You know you're doing something right when the boos drown out your thoughts. You're teaching these slobs a valuable lesson in that nothing in life comes easy. You'll always have obstacles, and I damn sure intended on being one for Jackson, which is why I'm still bothered by what Valero's associates did.
She finishes her sentence with a scoff, still annoyed by the outcome. Dom pouts his bottom lip somewhat, in an attempt at showing sympathy.
Dom Harter: But she won't be stopped! The next time you see Jaelynn Ramsey she'll be getting her arm raised in victory, and it doesn't matter who they put across from her. Because she's the next big thing here in FGA, Amanda, and Jae's heading to the top. Then whoever comes out of All Star Showdown with that Mid-Atlantic Legacy title better keep a look out, because she'll be coming to take that title from them.
Jaelynn Ramsey: What he said.
Jae says with a laugh before walking away with Dom by her side, before he jumps back into shot.
Dom Harter: You fans aren't slobs, though; FGA fans are the greatest fans in the world!
He gives the camera a thumbs up and a cheesy grin before walking away once again, leaving Amanda behind with a wide eyed stare on her face. And the scene fades to black.
