My Legacy

The video feed is pure white at first: A luminous white light, along with a white noise machine drowning out any sounds in the background. That lack of, well anything, remains in place for several moments before a voice speaks.
V/O: Are you drinking it all in? The silence, the absence of being?
The white light effect gives way, revealing AMIRA sat at a desk in a fairly upscale looking study. She has her feet kicked up, resting on the desk as she leans back in her chair.
AMIRA: We've been experiencing a lot of that lately, specifically a lack of Nero Darling.
A moment passes.
AMIRA: Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to use her continued absence to run her down. Despite what the biased mainstream wrestling media might claim, I'm not some crazy woman hater.
Her tone bears a mixture of irritation and dismissiveness as she utters that last phrase, accompanied by air quotes made with her fingers.
AMIRA: There's nothing more that I'd like than for other women to be less of an embarrassment to our gender, one that allows the patriarchy to oppress talented visionaries like myself, based on their failures. But the fact remains that many, many who represent 'the wrong things' are abundant in this company. So, to grasp the success that is rightfully mine, that was stripped away from me by a malicious governmental smear campaign, I need to wipe out those whose existence in some position of prominence would undo my hard work.
A sigh follows, not necessarily of resignation, but of acceptance that a long road lies ahead.
AMIRA: So I applaud her for listening to me and staying at home to concentrate on being a good mother. Others in this company should only be so wise as to follower her lead. I did not want to have to embarrass her, to take possession of her children and relocate them to AMIRA Manor where my loyal Housekeeper Esmerelda would have provided them with the type of nurturing environment they lacked--but I absolutely was prepared to do what was necessary to make my point.
A brief ticker flashes across the bottom of the video, reading: "Disclaimer: Amira Szendrey does not endorse the kidnapping of children and her words should not be interpreted to mean such. - Bartleby Wilson, Esq."
AMIRA: Instead, I turn my focus to conquering, to achieving. The Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship, I have a bit of experience in a past life as another soul, with a geographically named title. One I took from representing just the "Old North" to grand heights, being the Champion of the entire Northern Hemisphere. That is what I can bring to this belt, which I will remake in my image as the Magnificent AMIRA Legacy Championship!
Following her proclamation, she lowers her feet to the floor and sits up in her chair, scooting it forward slightly.
AMIRA: Throw qualifiers at me, throw eliminators and I will eliminate whoever is in my path. Whether that is John Blade, or anyone else, their time is now to witness my rise. I will mow them down and I will take, because I am a difference maker. The new team of Cool Dad and The Groupie did not fare as well two Vertigos ago, when there were other elements thrown into the equation, as they did this past show. Why? Because, I repeat again, I am a difference maker.
She firmly drums her index finger against the desk a couple of times.
AMIRA: I am the element that will shake up the monotony and the slop that's been infesting this company while I was sidelined. In a sea of mediocrity, filled with sea urchins trying to cling their way onto the voyage to success, in a land filled with fake stars and deluded hacks passing off-- whatever it is they think they're doing out there--as upholding some sort of standard of excellence, I stand out because AMIRA is the truth.
The platinum blonde seems to calm down after working herself into a frenzy, flashing a toothy smile.
AMIRA: And that truth will bind you all to me as I use the backs of these FGA clowns as the parchment on which I write the book of my Magnificent AMIRA Legacy.
Static.
