Chris Madison vs. Annie Zellor

"The Devil's Bleeding Crown" by Volbeat begins to play throughout the arena as Annie Zellor steps out from behind the curtain; the fans in attendance begin to boo as Zellor keeps her head down, bouncing from one foot to the other in time with the music. She raises her head, looking out across the crowd as she stands there with her feet apart, hands on her hips, before finally heading down the aisle.

J.A. Aldridge: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Staten Island, New York! Weighing in at 120 pounds! She is the reigning FGA Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion… ANNIIIIEEEEE ZEEEEEELLOOOOOOR!!!

Some fans still reach out for the high five, and for those fans Annie obliges. But she tries to drown out the rest of them as they continue to jeer her from a distance. Zellor climbs up the ring steps and stops on the apron, taking another moment to look out across the crowd before she steps into the ring. There, Annie heads to her corner and rests back against the turnbuckles as she waits for this one to get started.

Kris Cruise: Vertigo continues with our next match, Stephy! It’s a rematch from the Quarterfinals of the Wildcard Lottery Tournament.

Stephy Auger: Is that the match where Annie Zellor DEFEATED Chris Madison, SNAPPING his 15 month undefeated streak?

Kris Cruise: Yes, that was the match. But let’s be honest, that win was far from clean.

Stephy Auger: Maybe, maybe not. But I’ve also heard that Chris Madison has lost yet another match recently. Not only has Madison been losing matches as of late, but it seems like he’s losing a bit of his mystique as well.

Kris Cruise: If you think that Zellor isn’t at all nervous about heading into this match, then think again.

Stephy Auger: I don’t think Zellor is intimidated at all. She’s the giant killer, you know!

Kris Cruise: Well what I do know is that Zellor tried to get Molly Reid to rough up Dom Harter for her.

Stephy Auger: So? What’s wrong with that? That’s what friends are for! Zellor scratches Molly’s back and Molly scratches hers. Zellor wants to be the best Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion ever and she’ll do whatever she has to do to make sure that happens, including getting her friend to rough up her next challenger for her.


The arena's lights dim to black as the opening guitar riffs to "War Machine" by KISS begin to screech over the P.A. system. The video screen lights up with visual static noise. Suddenly in the center of the screen a black handprint begins pulsating to the beat of the drum that has began to play. A spotlight shines on the entrance ramp and we see Chris Madison standing with his head bowed under a black towel, wearing an official FGA licensed t-shirt that says, "Always Ready For War," across the chest. He nods his head to the music and as the chorus breaks he rips the towel from his head and tosses it into the live audience, starting his way down the ramp toward, the ring.

J.A. Aldridge: And her opponent, from Long Island, New York! Weighing in at 220 pounds… "Mayhem" CHRIS MAAADDIISSOONN!!!"

Madison makes it to the base of the steps and places one foot down before scoping out the fans directly behind him by peering over his shoulder. He smirks as the live audience sings along to the entrance music and then marches up the steps and climbs through the ropes. He immediately leaps up onto the middle rope and faces out towards the crowd. He brings his fists up to his face and punches his jaw with each hand before shooting his arms out horizontally with his hands wide open, welcoming whatever challenge is coming his way. Madison hops backwards, bouncing off of his feet and turns towards the center of the ring, snarling and ready to go…

Kris Cruise: The world is still buzzing about Madison’s Pride Rules contest with Ryan LeCavalier back at Final Frontier. Madison was already a top contender for the Pride Championship. But that match right there left no doubt as to who the next number one contender would be.

Stephy Auger: He’s got his title shot lined up at Grapple Kingdom. Good for him. But first he’s gotta get through Annie Zellor. You can say what you want about Madison and how he’s this and that. But guess what? He’s never beaten Zellor. He’s never made her submit. You know that’s gotta eat away at him deep down. Zellor, of ALL people, was the one that broke his undefeated streak. Madison would still be undefeated in FGA right now if it weren’t for her. You know that’s gotta eat away at him.

The bell sounds as as both grapplers circle the ring. They then motion to lock up when Zellor steps back at the last second.

Kris Cruise: What’s this?

Zellor looks around before extending her hand to Madison.

Stephy Auger: Looks like Annie wants a handshake, Cruise. See, there’s no bad blood here.

Morrison looks on intently as Madison looks down at the hand. He then looks up at Zellor’s face and points over to her hand. Zellor nods.

Kris Cruise: With Annie’s actions as of late, she’s far down on the list of people that I’d trust.

Madison looks over towards the crowd and points at Zellor. The crowd responds with a chorus of boos.

Stephy Auger: Blatant disrespect! But I’d expect nothing less from these ingrates.

Madison heads over towards the room and talks with Morrison.

Stephy Auger: I know Morrison has to do all the talking for Madison. But does he tell Madison who he can and can’t shake hands with, too? Come on!

After the two talk, Madison heads back over towards Zellor. He keeps his hands on his hips and stares at Zellor… before slowly reaching over and shaking her hand.

Kris Cruise: How about that.

Zellor goes to walk away, but Madison quickly yanks Zellor back over towards him. The two are now nose to nose as Zellor’s smile quickly disappears.

Kris Cruise: I think business is about to pick up, Stephy.

Stephy Auger: Pretty much.

Madison releases his grip and takes a few steps back as Zellor narrows her eyes at Madison. The two grapplers begin to circle the ring. After sizing each other up, they head towards the center of the ring and motion for a lock up. But Zellor quickly opts for a kick to the midsection. She then places Madison in a side headlock before nailing him with a punch to the face.

Kris Cruise: I knew it!

Stephy Auger: A leopard never changes its spots, Cruise!

Once Zellor lets go, Madison heads over towards the ropes. After Zellor turns him around, she delivers a series of stinging knife edge chops. She then takes Madison by the wrist and goes for an irish whip. But Madison uses his free hand to hang onto the top rope. So Zellor goes for another irish whip. But again, Madison hangs onto the rope. Zellor then squats down as she tries with all her might to irish whip Madison. But again, Madison blocks by hanging onto the top rope. Once Zellor stands back up, Madison knocks her hands from off of him before knocking her down with an elbow smash to the face. When Zellor gets back to her feet, the crowd cheers when she’s met with another elbow smash. This one sends Zellor staggering over towards the ropes.

Kris Cruise: Talk about getting popped right in the kisser...

Stephy Auger: Just shut it, Cruise...

Once Madison marches over and turns Zellor around, he takes the champion and whips her into the far ropes. When Zellor returns, she slides through Madison’s legs. When Madison turns around, Zellor runs at Madison. Madison throws out a clothesline. But Zellor ducks under and goes behind him. When Madison turns around, he gets met with a dropkick. Zellor quickly kips back up before connecting with another dropkick. This one knocks Madison down. After Madison gets back to his feet, Zellor runs over and executes a tilt-a-whirl headscissors takeover, sending Madison through the ropes and to the floor.

Kris Cruise: The Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion takes Madison off his feet and sends him to the outside.

Stephy Auger: She could be looking for a suicide dive to the floor...

While Madison gets up on the outside, Zellor runs into the far ropes. When she returns, the crowd cheers when Madison slides back in and flattens her with a running yakuza kick. He drops down and makes the cover.

Zellor gets her shoulder up.

Madison picks up Zellor and applies a muay thai clinch. He then takes one hand and uppercuts Zellor three times while he’s got her in the clinch. After a jumping knee strike, Madison jumps back up and brings Zellor down into a lying armbar. But Zellor is quick to lock her hands, preventing Madison from hyperextending her arm. Zellor then frantically scoots herself towards the ropes as Madison yanks back, breaking her grip. Just as Madison has the hold locked up, Zellor gets her foot under the bottom rope, forcing the ref to start a five count.

Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…

Madison breaks the hold.

Kris Cruise: Zellor’s lucky she got herself over to those ropes, Stephy.

After both grapplers return to their feet, they head towards the ring and motion for a lock up. Again, Zellor ducks under, goes behind Madison and applies a waistlock. But Madison is quick to pull Zellor’s arms from around him and reverse into an arm wrench. The ref asks Zellor if she wants to give up. But she refuses. She then rolls forward, leans back kips up, swats Madison’s hands from off of her and follows up with another dropkick to the face, knocking Madison down. As Madison tries to get up off the canvas, Zellor places him in a side headlock. But Madison is quick to shove Zellor off of him and into the ropes. But instead of bouncing back, Zellor hangs onto the ropes. Madison sees this, so he runs over towards the ropes. Zellor then grabs the top rope and pulls down. But Madison slams on the brakes. Once Zellor gets back to her feet, Madison runs over and connects with another running yakuza kick, sending Zellor through the ropes and to the floor.

Kris Cruise: Madison wasn’t falling for that old trick!

As Zellor pulls herself up using the edge of the apron, Madison rolls to the outside and doubles her over with a punch to the ribs. He then takes Zellor and rolls her back into the ring. As Madison rolls himself back in, Zellor quickly gets back to her feet and nails him with a kick to the midsection. She then grabs a hold of the top rope with both hands before delivering several stomps to the chest.

Stephy Auger: Zellor’s going to town on Madison with the hopes that he’s softened up for his match against Molly Reid next month...

Zellor picks up Madison, marches into the corner and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Madison around, Zellor delivers another series of knife edge chops. She then takes Madison and whips him into the opposite corner. After pointing over at Madison, Zellor charges across the ring, connects with a discus clothesline and goes to follow up with a running bulldog. But Madison shoves Zellor off of him and into the ropes. When Zellor returns, the crowd boos when she brings him down with a wheelbarrow bulldog. She makes the cover.

Zellor sits up Madison and nails him with a shoot kick to the back. She then brings Madison back to his feet, moves him against the ropes and nails him with three shoot kicks to the chest. She then takes Madison and goes for an irish whip. But Madison reverses before going for a short-arm clothesline. But Zellor ducks and follows up with a schoolgirl.

After both grapplers return to their feet, Zellor quickly brings him down with a small package.

As Madison is trying to get back to his feet, Zellor beats him to the punch and knocks him down with a shoot kick to the face. She drops down and makes the cover.

Zellor picks up Madison and nails him with a hard right hand.

Stephy Auger: Pow, right in the kisser!

After Madison staggers over towards the ropes, Zellor comes up from behind and delivers a back rake. She then takes Madison, moves him over into the corner and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Madison around and delivers five shoot kicks, Zellor takes Madison and whips him into the opposite corner. She then runs across the ring, hops onto Madison and monkey flips him from out of the corner.

Kris Cruise: I’ve got to admit, Zellor’s on a bit of a roll now. You have to wonder how these two recent losses have affected the psyche of Chris Madison.

As Madison slowly returns to his feet, Zellor runs towards the ropes and goes for a handspring back elbow. But Madison counters with a bicycle knee strike to the back.

Kris Cruise: Great counter there from “Mayhem” Madison.

Madison brings Zellor back to her feet before whipping her hard into the corner. After Zellor’s spine collides with the turnbuckles, she staggers over towards Madison, who doubles her over with a boot to the midsection. The crowd continue to cheer when he hoists Zellor up before bringing her down with a Colt45 backbreaker. He makes the cover.

Stephy Auger: I don’t know how Zellor’s back wasn’t snapped in half after that backbreaker.

Madison picks up Zellor, places her in another thai clinch and delivers alternating knee strikes to the midsection. He then lifts Zellor up from the side before throwing her down with a pumphandle slam. The crowd cheers as he makes the cover.

Kris Cruise: Zellor got her shoulder up. But she was a bit slower to get it up this time.

Madison picks up Zellor and throws her down with a scoop slam before heading into the ropes. When Madison returns, he delivers a double foot stomp across Zellor’s midsection. He then turns around and makes the cover.

Madison picks up Zellor and quickly applies a sleeper from behind.

Kris Cruise: It might be time for Zellor to go to sleep, Stephy!

Stephy Auger: Quick! Grab onto the ref’s shirt! Low blow him! Do something!

The crowd cheers as Zellor can be seen swinging her arms around. The ref asks her if she wants to give up. But she refuses. Before Madison can hurl her over his head with a sleeper suplex, Zellor reaches back, grabs Madison by the head with both hands and brings him down with a kneeling jawbreaker.

Stephy Auger: Zellor’s free!

While Madison is dazed, Zellor gets back to her feet and motions towards the ropes. But Madison reaches forward, grabs Zellor from behind and yanks him back into his clutches.

Kris Cruise: Not so fast!

Madison spins her around and throws out Comatosed (ripcord rolling elbow). But Zellor ducks. When Madison turns around, Zellor doubles him over with a boot to the midsection before delivering a facebreaker DDT. The crowd boos as she makes the cover.

Zellor picks up Madison and goes for an irish whip. But Madison reverses, sending Zellor into the ropes. When Zellor returns, Madison sets up for a back body drop. But Zellor stops and counters with a sitout facebuster. The crowd boos as she pushes him over and makes the cover.

Zellor sits up Madison and places him in a sleeper hold. The ref asks Madison if he wants to give up. When Madison refuses, Zellor cinches in the hold.

Kris Cruise: Now it’s Annie Zellor that’s trying to put Chris Madison to sleep.

Stephy Auger: She’s already got a pinfall victory over him. Could you imagine is Madison submits? Or if the ref stops the match? Madison would never hear the end of it!

The ref checks back in with Madison and asks him if he wants to give up. Madison refuses. But he responds a bit slower than he did before.

Stephy Auger: Look at him! He’s starting to wear down, Cruise.

Morrison can be seen on the outside slapping the apron as he tries to get the crowd to rally behind Madison. Madison begins to slowly turn over onto his knees. The ref checks back in with him and asks if he wants to give up. But again, Madison refuses. Zellor shakes his head in disbelief as Madison battles back to his feet. He follows up with five elbows to the midsection, breaking the hold. While Zellor is doubled over, Madison runs into the ropes. When Madison returns, he throws out a clothesline. But Zellor ducks. When Madison turns around, the crowd boos when Zellor knocks him down with a spinning legsweep before following up with a standing Shooting Star Press.

Kris Cruise: She’s getting frustrated, Stephy!

Zellor takes Madison and whips him into the ropes. When Madison returns, Zellor throws out a kick to the midsection. After Madison catches her foot, Zellor quickly follows up with an enzuigiri that knocks him down to a knee. While Madison shakes out the cobwebs, Zellor heads into the ropes. Madison gets back to a vertical base, but Zellor brings him back down with a leapfrog into a one-handed bulldog. Zellor pushes him over and makes the cover.

The crowd cheers when Madison gets his shoulder up. Zellor is visibly frustrated.

Kris Cruise: She’s wondering what she has to do to put this man away!

Zellor picks up Madison and goes for an irish whip. But Madison reverses, sending her into the corner. Madison then charges into the corner. But Zellor counters with a back elbow to the face. As Madison stumbles back, the crowd boos when Zellor hoists herself up onto the middle ropes before knocking him down with a diving knee strike. She makes the cover.

The crowd cheers when Madison gets his shoulder up. Zellor slaps her hands three times at the referee.

Stephy Auger: I agree, Annie! That was a three count!

Zellor heads into the corner and waits for Madison to get into position. Once Madison gets up and turns around, Zellor runs from out of the corner and plants him with All That Glitters (satellite ddt). She makes the cover.

The crowd erupts with cheers when Madison gets his shoulder up. Zellor puts her hands over her face.

Kris Cruise: She throwing out everything in her arsenal and still, Madison continues to get his shoulder up!

Stephy Auger: Why won’t he just stay down!

Zellor steps out onto the apron and scales towards the top turnbuckle. Just then, Madison heads into the corner, grabs Zellor and slams her down.

Kris Cruise: The high risk doesn’t pay off there!

Once Zellor gets up and turns around, the crowd cheers when Madison cracks her with a bicycle knee strike. He makes the cover.

The crowd sighs, then boos when Zellor gets her shoulder up.

Madison picks up Zellor and lifts her up onto his shoulders for an electric chair. But before Madison can do anything else, Zellor delivers repeated punches to the top of the head. After Zellor slips down from behind, she shoves Madison from behind. When Madison turns around, Zellor throws out a kick to the nuts. But Madison catches her foot in the nick of time.

Madison turns Zellor away from him, grabs her from behind and knocks her down with Comatosed. He makes the cover.

The crowd sighs, then boos as Zellor gets her shoulder up.

Kris Cruise: So close!

Stephy Auger: Come on, Zellor!

Madison picks up Zellor and lifts her up onto his shoulders. But before Madison can do anything, Zellor reaches down and rakes him across the eyes, garnering boos from the crowd. After slipping down from behind, she shoves Madison from behind before dropping to the canvas and rolling to the outside.

Kris Cruise: Huh?

Zellor makes a motions with her hands as if to say “forget this!” and makes her way up the aisle. The crowd erupts with boos.

Kris Cruise: is Annie Zellor leaving!

Stephy Auger: She’s going to live to fight another day! Why push herself to beat Chris Madison here tonight? Shes’ already beaten him, remember? She’s got nothing to prove to him or this prison colony you people call a country.

Morrison tries talking to Zellor. But Zellor turns around and shakes her head.

Kris Cruise: Even Morrison is trying to reason with Zellor! But she’s not having it! She’s going to willingly take the countout loss here toni-

Stephy Auger: What the heck!?

Unbeknownst to Zellor, Dom Harter is marching down the aisle.

Kris Cruise: It’s Dom Harter!

Stephy Auger: What does that Tenacious Little BASTARD want?

The crowd cheers when the Tenacious Little Bastard grabs Zellor from behind, runs and rolls her back into the ring.

Stephy Auger: WHAT!? How are him!

Once Zellor returns to her feet, she’s shocked once she sees Harter down at ringside. Zellor can be seen yelling at Harter before kicking the bottom rope.

Kris Cruise: The Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion is irate, Stephy!

Stephy Auger: As she should!

While Zellor’s attention is still on Harter, Madison comes up from behind and lifts her up on his shoulders.

Kris Cruise: Oh boy!

Stephy Auger: Oh no! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

Zellor swings her arms before nailing Madison with repeated punches. But they’re to no avail as Madison delivers the End Game (Electric Chair dropped into a bridging German Suplex)!

The ref slides over and starts the count.

The crowd erupts with cheers as “War Machine” blasts over the PA.

J.A. Aldridge: Here is your winner, CHRIS MADISON!

The crowd continue to cheer as Madison gets his arm raised in victory.

Kris Cruise: Chris Madison’s done it! He’s avenged his loss from two months ago by defeated Annie Zellor here tonight!

Stephy Auger: NO! NO! ASTERISK! ASTERISK! ASTERISK! Dom Harter grabbed her from behind! That’s a disqualification!

Kris Cruise: How!? He never attacked her! He brought her back into the ring!

Stephy Auger: … GAH!

Harter makes his way up the aisle and looks back one time to flash his signature smirk before stepping through the curtains. Back at ringside, Madison raises his arms in the air again before celebrating with Morrison...

[ COMMERCIAL BREAK ]

The strumming of a guitar begins as the scene fades slowly towards a pair of hands, held tightly together.

The scene slowly shows a gray sky passing by old buildings. Along the streets are people walking pass abandoned complexes. It jumps to old houses painted in graffiti.

The camera cuts to a pair of eyes staring forward through a rear view mirror. Through those eyes, flashbacks play, violent ones. It shows Jimmy Page committing those acts of violence.

In those flashbacks throughout his career, it shows Page hitting Cindy Parker in the back of the skull with a chair. It shows the crying face of Cordy Stevenson craddling Cindy's body in her arms sobbing. It cuts to Jimmy, putting Annie Zellor through a table, her face in clear pain.

It shows a Page trying to pry the ear off of Laurel Hardy's head. It cuts to another scene where Page's face in coated in a crimson mask of his own blood. A close up on his bloody face shows his eyes vacant, devoid of emotion. The scene then comes back to present day. The scenery shows a stretch of trees, road, and passing cars. A sign shows "Leaving Flint" briefly before becoming left behind.

It cuts to the cause of Jimmy Page's self destruction. Cans and bottles of alcohol, empty on top of a dresser are focused on. It then cuts to a bed with a bag opened showing clothes stuffed inside of them. On top of those clothes is a bottle pills. Jimmy sits on the corner of the bed, slouched over grasping with one hand at his head, slowly brushing strains of hair out of his face.

The camera comes back to the tightly grasped hands, it pans slowly. As it pans, the violence shows away, showing the spectrum of emotions of Jimmy Page. Anger, sadness, fear are shown through quick cuts. It then slowly shows a sick smile on Page, bloody, in pain, but happy. As the song slowly comes an end, it shows the current face of Page painted in black and white. Now the face showed a different emotion: Remorse.

Molly Reid vs. Dom Harter

The opening chords of “Low Self Opinion” begin to play throughout the arena as the some of crowd begin to boo, while others cheer. After ten seconds or so, Dom Harter steps out from behind the curtain.

J.A. Aldridge: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. Weighing in at 225 pounds. He is ‘The Tenacious Little Bastard’ DOM HAAAARRRRTEEEEEERRRRR!!!

He throws his arms out to either side, the ever familiar crooked grin plastered on his face as he begins to stride down the aisle, soaking in the reaction that are coming from the fans here in Adelaide. Harter climbs up the ring steps and climbs in through the middle rope; once inside the squared circle, Harter climbs up to the middle rope, posing for the fans as he waits for the match to start.

Kris Cruise: We saw Dom Harter two weeks ago staking his claim for the Mid-Atlantic Legacy title, which he needs to complete the Grand Slam. But he’s back in action tonight taking on his friend, and Pride Champion, Molly Reid.

Stephy Auger: We’ve already seen him tonight, though, sticking his nose where it didn’t belong. He cost Annie Zellor her match against Chris Madison, and he’ll probably end up paying for that sooner rather than later.

The lights in the arena dim before the sound of Metro Station's Shake It begins to play over the loudspeakers in the arena. The entrance ramp lights up as Molly Reid runs out, bouncing along to the music with a grin on her face. The Pride Championship is wrapped around her waist as she slaps it a few times before bouncing down the entrance ramp, high-fiving fans on either side as she approaches the ring.

J.A. Aldridge: And his opponent, from Los Angeles, California. Weighing in at 122 pounds. She is the reigning FGA PRIDE CHAMPION! MOLLYYYYYYY REEEEEEEID!!!

When she gets close to the ring she bounds up the steps and stands on the apron. She turns and faces the crowd and points to her belt as the crowd cheers along with her. Molly turns around and vaults into the ring and moves towards the opposite corner. She removes her Pride Championship as she climbs onto the turnbuckle and holds it high in the air as the crowd continues to cheer. After doing this on the other turnbuckles, Molly hops off and hands her belt to the referee before retreating to her corner, her grin being replaced with a focused stare.

Kris Cruise: The Pride champion in non-title action tonight, having recovered from her hellacious match at Final Frontier. And we saw her earlier talking to Annie Zellor about a gameplan for this match – do you think she’ll try and weaken Dom ahead of Grapple Kingdom?

Stephy Auger: I would if I were her, but Molly might not have it in her, Cruise. Both of these competitors have already seen plenty of in-ring action this year, however, as both are representing FGA in the Young Guns Cup.

Kris Cruise: And both have reached the third round already. But tonight they’ll be facing each other, which may be a preview of the upcoming final, we don’t know. What we do know is this is sure to be a helluva match!

The bell sounds to start the match as both competitors emerge from their corners, heading towards the center of the ring as the crowd start up a dual chant for both Molly and Dom. As they reach the center of the ring it’s Molly who extends the hand out, wanting a handshake from her friend. Harter looks around the crowd before he does anything, asking them if he should accept it. A resounding yes from the crowd causes Dom to not only accept the handshake, but for him to bring Molly in with a hug that lifts her up and spins her around.

Stephy Auger: Pass me the bucket, I think I need to throw up.

Kris Cruise: An unorthodox display of sportsmanship that’s for sure, but I don’t think you need to vomit because of it.

Harter looks at his opponent as if to say “you’re welcome”, but Molly stifles her laughter before throwing a mean right hook! It rocks Dom where he stands, but he fires one right back! The two of them trade shots back and forth until Dom gains the upper hand, pushing Molly back against the ropes. An Irish whip ensues and the Pride champion is sent across the ring, coming back to find herself on the receiving end of a back elbow!

Down goes Reid as Dom runs against the ropes. He skips over her as Molly rolls onto her front; she quickly pops back up to her feet and leaps with a dropkick – before crashing to the mat! Harter held onto the ropes, where he’s still standing as he taps his temple. As Molly gets back to her feet, however, Dom rushes in with a clothesline. Molly ducks under the arm and sets off against the ropes herself. In a shocking turn of events, Harter leapfrogs over the rushing Molly Reid, and drops down to his back, catching Molly with a monkey flip on the rebound!

Kris Cruise: That’s … not what we usually see from Dom Harter.

Stephy Auger: His new leaf must have extended to his arsenal, Cruise. I guess hitting harder wasn’t enough for him anymore.

Harter gets back to his feet and dusts off his hands, drawing a round of applause from the crowd as Molly stands back up on the far side of the ring. She glares over at Dom before charging in, but Dom sidesteps her and tosses Molly over the top rope all the way to the outside. Dom poses with one arm raised high into the air before he runs against the ropes, and then the far ropes; he’s building up a head of steam as he comes charging back for a suicide dive!

No … he steps out onto the apron and leaps off with an axhandle smash, only to get caught with a punch to the gut! Molly grabs her opponent by the back of the head and fires off some elbow strikes, before throwing Dom head first into the ring apron. The Tenacious Little Bastard staggers away as Molly climbs up onto the apron herself, running across it as she catches Dom with a cross body block when he turns around! She quickly rolls him back into the ring and follows, covering with a lateral press.

Dom gets the shoulder up before two, and Molly is quick to her feet to stomp at her prone opponent. She lifts Dom back to his feet and pushes him back into the corner, firing off more elbow strikes to the face before going for the Irish whip. Harter hits the far turnbuckle, but lifts his boot up to counter the oncoming charge … which doesn’t come. And it’s Molly’s turn to tap her temple, which doesn’t sit well with her opponent.

Both competitors head towards the center of the ring again, and this time they lock up collar and elbow. Molly is quickly overpowered as Dom pushes her back against the ropes. The referee calls for a break, which he gets at the count of three, before Dom unleashes a chop to the chest. And another. An Irish whip follows, and this time he takes Reid down with powerslam, into the cover!

Stephy Auger: We know the Pride champion doesn’t like wrestling against stronger opponents, Cruise, she’ll want to use her speed to stay one step ahead. Can she do that against Dom Harter?

Kris Cruise: She’ll have to if she wants to stand a chance, but if Harter gets to throw her around like we know he can then this may not be Molly’s best night.

Harter assumes a mounted position astride Molly’s chest, firing off several punches to the face before finally dragging Molly to her feet. He throws her down with a body slam – with authority! – before dropping an elbow down across the chest. No pin attempt, though, as Harter drags his opponent up again, and he throws Molly head first into the turnbuckle. She collapses into the corner, and Harter follows up with some shoulder thrusts to the midsection. The referee finally intervenes, forcing a break as Molly staggers out of the corner; she gets caught by a boot to the gut before Dom plants her with a piledriver. And another pin attempt by the Tenacious Little Bastard ensues.

He turns around to get caught by a side kick that doubles him over, before Molly follows up with a spinning neckbreaker!

Kris Cruise: That might be just the opening Molly needs to find a way back into this match, Stephy!

Indeed it’s Molly Reid who gets back to a vertical base first, followed close behind by The Tenacious Little Bastard, who’s still holding his neck. The Pride champion fires off a couple of shoot kicks to the chest, followed by a spinning backfist! And Harter appears to be dazed as Molly runs against the ropes for some momentum. She has to duck under the clothesline that Dom attempts, though, before hitting the ropes again. She comes back this time with a Superman punch, drawing a huge cheer from the crowd!

Both competitors are down momentarily, before Molly kips up to her feet. The crowd cheer again as she waits for Dom to stand up, before charging in with a tornado DDT! Harter gets spiked head first into the mat and lands near the corner as Molly begins climbing; she’s facing out towards the crowd as she reaches the top turnbuckle, and Molly leaps off with a corkscrew moonsault! A hook of the leg!

Stephy Auger: Not enough to finish Dom Harter off, and I don’t think that’s a problem Molly Reid usually has.

Kris Cruise: Don’t be crude, Stephy.

Molly looks disappointed by the result, but quickly gets back to her feet and climbs to the turnbuckle once again. This time, however, Dom hurries to his feet and shakes the top rope, forcing Molly to crash down atop the turnbuckle. Slowly, Dom moves towards his opponent, firing off some clubbing blows to the back before pulling Molly down into a tree of woe position. He connects with a couple of stomps to the ribcage of the Pride champion before moving to the opposite turnbuckle for his run up. Harter charges in with a hesitation dropkick – NO! Molly lifts herself up to dodge the attack, and Harter slides into the ring post!

Stephy Auger: Looks lik–

Kris Cruise: Don’t say it!

With a leg either side of the steel pole, Dom looks to be in a modicum of discomfort. But he doesn’t have time to worry about that as Molly readjusts her position on the top rope, before leaping off with a double foot stomp to the midsection of the Tenacious Little Bastard! She drags him away from the corner and covers again.

Again, Dom gets the shoulder up before the count of three. And this time Molly can’t quite believe it. She’s in even more disbelief as Harter tries pushing himself back to a vertical base, which Molly cuts off with some elbow strikes to the side of the head. It keeps him dazed a little while longer, so Molly runs against the ropes and comes back with a flying knee! That knocks Harter down, and Molly steps out onto the apron as she waits for Dom to stand back up again.

The crowd are beginning to rally behind the Pride champion as she shouts for Dom to get up, which he eventually does so. Molly leaps up onto the top rope, springboarding into the ring with a headscissors takedown! Dom rolls through and stands back up in a daze as Molly measures him up for the roundhouse kick – NO! Harter ducks under the leg, and grabs his opponent in a rear waistlock. She fires off some back elbows, trying to break free until Harter finally relents. But as Molly turns around, Dom wraps his arms around her and tosses her with an overhead belly to belly suplex into the turnbuckles!

Kris Cruise: Goddamn, I felt that one from here!

Stephy Auger: He just threw her with no regard for her well being, Cruise. And this is Dom when he’s turned over a new leaf?!

Kris Cruise: I’m not sure about that, but that move may have just knocked the wind out of Molly’s sails here.

This time it’s Dom who gets back to his feet first, standing up in the center of the ring as Molly does the same in the corner. She’s dragging herself back up using the ropes to help her, but as she turns around Dom catches her with a running double knee lift! Molly staggers out of the corner and Harter catches her with a boot to the gut before throwing her down with a bridging fisherman suplex!

Molly kicks out before the three count, but Harter just sits right back. He drags Molly up with him, landing several knee strikes to the gut that keep the Pride champion doubled over. This time he comes back with a massive lariat that knocks Reid ass over teakettle! And Dom covers.

Stephy Auger: Somehow, Molly is staying in this one. And Dom doesn’t look pleased, Cruise.

Kris Cruise: He’s throwing everything he has at her here, but it’s not enough so far. There’s a reason why Molly Reid is the Pride champion right now, and she’s showing that here.

Harter kneels there for a moment, running a hand through his hair as he tries to catch his breath. Molly is motionless on the mat, struggling to catch her breath as Dom drags her up into a standing headscissors. With a giant heave, Dom manages to hoist his opponent up into a powerbomb position … but Molly’s fighting it! She’s firing off punches to the face as Dom staggers closer to the ropes, before Molly counters with a hurricanrana that sends The Tenacious Little Bastard over the top rope. Molly herself manages to land on the apron, where she waits for Dom to get back up.

Kris Cruise: A terrific counter by the Pride champion there, but what does she have in mind?

Molly leaps off the apron with an Asai moonsault, sailing through the air as she takes Dom down! The crowd cheer as she stands back up. She brings Dom up with her, slamming his head off the apron before rolling him back into the ring. Reid climbs back up onto the apron and readies herself; Dom manages to get back to his feet as Molly springboards into the ring with a crossbody block – NO! In an impressive display of strength, Dom manages to catch her across his shoulders before planting Molly in the center of the ring with a Samoan driver! A hook of the leg.

Stephy Auger: Well Dom did interfere in her match earlier tonight…

He asks as the crowd begin to boo; this is caused by the arrival of the Mid-Atlantic Legacy champion at the top of the aisleway. Annie Zellor begins to walk down towards the ring, but neither competitor has noticed her as Dom drags Molly back to her feet again. He pats his forearm as he sets Molly up for a short arms clothesline – NO! Molly ducks it and counters with a side kick to the midsection. Desperately she fires off some forearm strikes to the face; Harter is reeling as Molly takes a step back before going for the Molly Kick!

NO!

Dom ducks under the superkick and bends Molly over backwards, grabbing her with an inverted facelock.

Stephy Auger: Are we about to see the Silent Machine?

Out of the corner of his eye, though, Dom sees Annie standing on the apron. He tries not to be distracted but, against his better judgment, he lets go of Molly and lunges towards Annie on the apron! The Legacy champion drops off in the nick of time, avoiding the forearm smash. But Dom’s quickly caught by surprise as Molly rolls him up with a schoolboy pin!

Kris Cruise: Does Molly have a handful of tights there?

Stephy Auger: She’s done it?! Molly Reid has defeated Dom Harter here tonight in Adelaide!

Kris Cruise: Give the assist to Annie Zellor though. She distracted Dom to let Molly get the roll up, and I think I saw her grab the tights too.

Stephy Auger: Maybe she was channelling her Inner Annie there. Either way, Molly wins, much to the delight of these fans for some reason.

Harter sits up in shock, unable to believe what just happened as Molly rolls out of the ring. She’s holding her midsection as she lies on the floor for a moment. Meanwhile, Annie climbs up onto the apron once more.

She meets the gaze of Dom Harter, the man who’ll challenge for the Mid-Atlantic Legacy title in a few weeks time at Grapple Kingdom. And he doesn’t look pleased. Harter lunges forward again, and this time he’s quicker than Annie! He has her around the throat, but the crowd boo again, louder than before, as The Crimson Baroness climbs over the guard rail and slides into the ring. She positions herself behind Dom and low blows him!

Stephy Auger: The Small Boob Wrecking Crew are here together, Cruise! And now Dom Harter might just be in trouble.

Harter is forced to let go of Annie as he stumbles backwards in pain. But that’s all the opening Annie needs to leap into the ring with Rough n Tumble II! She drives Dom face first down across her knee, and the crowd boo again as the Small boob Wrecking Crew begin to put the boots to the former World champion.

Kris Cruise: This is a mugging! He’s just wrestled a match, and now The Small Boob Wrecking Crew are attacking Dom Harter!

Annie and TCB lift Dom back to his knees; TCB holds his arms as Annie gets in his face, telling him that he brought this on himself, before she slaps him across the face. They lift Dom up to his feet and each grab an arm, setting him up for Wrecked…

Kris Cruise: Wait a minute!

Harter manages to break free and lifts both members of the Small Boob Wrecking Crew up for a back body drop counter! The crowd cheer as Annie and TCB hit the mat back first, but it’s Annie who stands up first. She’s clutching at her lower back when Dom hoists her up into a fireman’s carry, before planting her into the mat with a Samoan driver! Harter rolls away and readies himself for further attack, but TCB is on the outside of the ring already, dragging Annie out of the ring by her foot.

The Small Boob Wrecking Crew retreat up the aisle as Dom stands back up, soaking in the crowd’s cheers as he keeps his gaze locked on the pair of them. On the outside of the ring, Molly Reid stands back up, seemingly oblivious to what just happened; when she sees Annie and TCB standing there, Molly shakes her head, watching on as the SBWC make their way backstage.

We cut backstage prior to the Tag Team Championship match where Anthony Rother is standing with his men, dressed in their ring gear, moments away from the main event. Both men wear expressions of intensity and determination. Rother is providing them with some inaudible last minute instructions when a voice begins shouting his name off in the distance.

“Rother…Rother!!!”

The three men do their best to ignore the voice as they begin making their way to the entrance of the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Spencer Burke comes into the view of the camera huffing and puffing.

Spencer Burke: Rother…WAIT!!!

Anthony Rother grimaces as he stops. He motions for Marx and Tryon to stop as well.

Anthony Rother: Spence!

Rother’s demeanor seemingly transformed from one of annoyance to joy. Burke finally reached his target, took out a handkerchief from his blazer’s breast pocket and began dabbing away at the sweat on his forehead.

Spencer Burke: Don’t…….play…..coy…..with me…..

Burke uttered between heavy breaths.

Anthony Rother: Oh Spence, something seems to be troubling you.

Burke began jabbing an accusing finger in Rother’s chest, something uniquely aggressive for his usual cool temperament.

Spencer Burke: You ducked out of the arena last week as fast as you could with that crap you pulled against The Elysian Empire. I stalked the backstage area for almost an hour looking for you to conduct an Afterburn interview, because you owe every fan in FGA answers for what you did last week. Of course, I knew it all along, this whole New Year – New Rother nonsense you’ve been spewing was nothing more than more lies!!! So…what do you have to say for yourself?

Rother’s welcoming smile began fading away with each poke Spencer jabbed into his chest. Ever the showman, however, Rother kept his cool and began dismissively waiving his hands in the air.

Anthony Rother: Spence, buddy! That’s not what happened last week! Now, I admit that I left the arena fairly fast after The Suspects match with the Elysian Empire, but it wasn’t because of anything underhanded…or devious. No Spence, those days are gone. It is a New Year and yes, a New Rother. The real reason why I left the arena so fast was because I was ashamed.

Rother dramatically lowered his head in shame.

Spencer Burke: What?

Anthony Rother: It’s true, I was ashamed Spencer. I’ve worked so hard over the past two weeks to try and convince everybody in that locker room, the fans in the arena, and all of the good people on social media that I am a changed man. Every time it seems I take one step forward, I inadvertently take two steps back. As I said on Twitter, what happened on Vertigo was a horrible accident. It was not my intent to involve myself in that match and cost anybody their chance to go on to a tag team title match.

Rother’s face reveals a look of contrition, but Burke isn’t buying it.

Spencer Burke: C’mon Rother, you expect us to believe that crap? This entire thing was a sham!

Anthony Rother: No…

Spencer Burke: More lies spewing from the foul mouth of Anthony Rother!

Anthony Rother: No…

Spencer Burke: A weak attempt to lull your opponents into a false sense of security!

Anthony Rother: NO!

Spencer Burke: So that way you could once again weasel the Usual Suspects into another opportunity against Status Quo!

Anthony Rother: NO!

Spencer Burke: Because, just like your track record shows, you care NOTHING about the true competitive spirit of this sport and YOU, Anthony Reginald Rother, are nothing more than a low down dirty cheat!!!

Rother has been shaking in anger the past few seconds and appears to be breaking.

Anthony Rother: FINE! YOU WANT ME TO TELL YOU HOW I REALLY FEEL?!?!

Spencer Burke: I WANT THE TRUTH!

Burke continues pressing.

Anthony Rother: YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!

Rother wipes the spittle from his chin.

Anthony Rother: The truth is Spencer, that yes – I will do anything in my power to see these men assume their rightful place within FGA’s tag team division. The two men standing behind me deserve that, in fact FGA needs them as tag team champions, even if you are all too stupid to realize it! I’m so sick of watching Cordy and Dan walk around here with the belts that by all rights should be in possession of Jason Marx and Chris Tryon! I will give my left nut *Rother grabs at his crotch* tonight if it ensures that The Usual Suspects walk out of this arena as two time FGA Tag Team Champions. So, Status Quo!!!

Rother looks directly into the camera.

Anthony Rother: No more games tonight! The gloves come off, and tonight will be a war where The Usual Suspects and I, the honorable Anthony Reginald Rother, will do anything and everything to take those beautiful gold belts from around your waists. So there… *Rother turns his attention back to Spencer* …I hope you’re happy, Spencer! You got your story and you’ve exposed me to all of the mutants watching at home. Just be prepared to eat some humble pie when we come back here after the match with those belts, so you and all these mutants can see your worst nightmare a reality.

Rother storms off followed by Marx and Tryon as Spencer turns his attention back to the camera with a smirk on his face.

Spencer Burke: There you have it, folks. Cordy…Dan, we are all rooting for you tonight.

The feed shifts backstage, where we see FGA reporter Jessie Pederson standing by in front of the green and black Vertigo backdrop.

Jessie Pederson: With me right now is Chandler Scott…

Chandler Scott makes his way into the frame. Upon hearing the roar of cheers, as well as catcalls from the ladies in the crowd, Scott can’t help but smirk as he looks off into the distance. He then turns his attention over to Pederson.

Jessie Pederson: Thank you for your time.

Chandler Scott: Believe me, the pleasure is all mine. Besides, Spencer Burke can’t be getting all the scoops around here, right?

Jessie Pederson: I suppose. Despite coming up short in your World Championship pursuits, you finished the year strong. You had a 10-1 record overall, finishing tied at a distant second with Dan Herrera behind Cordy Stevenson…

Scott gives Jessie a confused look as he holds up his hand.

Chandler Scott: Hold on, hold on, hold on. I gotta… I gotta stop you right there, Jess. Tied… with Dan Herrera? Since when? Because I’m pretty sure that any talk of ties with Dan Herrera were settled when I beat him like a drum at Final Frontier. Me… beating Herrera. Shocking, I know. But that’s what I did. So as far as I’m concerned, when it came to the rankings? There were only two people at the top when FGA brought 2016 to a close and that was Cordy Stevenson… and yours truly.

Now it’s true that I did finish a distant second to our World Champion. But let’s not forget the fact that Cordy Stevenson had about two months on me as she returned in April and I didn’t have my first match back until June. Let me also remind you that yes, Cordy racked up a lot of wins and none of that should be taken from her. She deserves all the praise. But let’s give ‘ol Dumbass Dan a little credit here, too.

Jessid does a double take.

Chandler Scott: I know, I know. You heard right. While Cordy racked up all those wins, the majority of those wins came in tag team matches. Now I know it’s the popular thing to do to act like Dan Herrera was the sidekick of the team. Even I’m guilty of doing it. But in a way Herrera is just as responsible for all those tag wins as Cordy does. Now let’s look at me. And who wouldn’t want to do that?

Chandler smirks as a few more catcalls can be heard from the women in the crowd.

Chandler Scott: When I came back to active competition last year, I didn’t have anyone to rely on. I didn’t have anyone to divvy up the load. There was no one there to pick up the slack whenever I had an off day. Each and every single night, I had to go out to that ring and depend on one person and one person only. You know who that was? Myself. One loss! That’s the only blemish on my record in 2016. That’s the only mark against me in a year that saw me bring home four awards and a Frontier Lions Cup trophy within a span of six months. Not half bad, Jess, wouldn’t you say?

Jessie Pederson: I’m not gonna lie, it’s pretty good...

Chandler Scott: … and speaking of not lying, we’d all be lying if we didn’t think that Cordy Stevenson versus Chandler Scott for the World Championship was up next. You could argue that no one finished the year as strongly as I did. There was only one other person above me on the active roster. I already defeated one half of the World Tag Team Champions. I heard the same talk that you and Spencer did, Jess. I heard the same rumblings. Everyone was gearing up for Cordy vs. Scotty, Part IV. And even though I would’ve had to have been the favorite, there was no doubt that the two of us would’ve put on another Match of the Year candidate, if not the flat out Match of the Year winner. But it appears that isn’t meant to be, right?

Jessie Pederson: I take it you heard the big news?

Chandler Scott: How could I not? At Grapple Kingdom, it’s going to be Champion vs. “Champion”. It’s going to be World Champion Cordy Stevenson against the so-called World Champion, Zero McHannon.

Chandler rolls his eyes.

Jessie Pederson: Would it be fair to say that this news took a bit of the wind out of your sails?

Chandler Scott: Oh yeah, there’s no doubt that I’m disappointed. But surprised? Nah, not at all. The fact that a man like him can walk out of this company, badmouth it every chance he gets, then waltz back in two months later off of vacation and still be recognized as one of the World Champions? It doesn’t surprise me one bit because you see, Jess, this company has always valued money over BS. This is the same company that allowed The Murder to go unchecked for over a year, even though their M.O. was bringing this company to the ground and remaking it in their image! This is the same company that allowed the Infinite Empire to go on for months on end, even though they set the damn ring on fire their first night here! And as much as I hate to admit it, if I were to take a step back and be objective, seeing Cordy and McHannon battle it out to become the undisputed World Champion is a money fight. So no, I’m not surprised. Upset? Disappointed? Damn right I am.

But unlike some people, I’m not going to stomp my feet and throw a tantrum. I’m not going to walk down the aisle with an axe and start destroying the ring. I’m not going to hop in front of this camera or any other media outlet and cry about some alleged lack of respect.

Jessie Pederson: So… what are you going to do then?

Chandler ponders as he looks off into the distance. He taps his index finger against his chin before turning back to Jessie.

Chandler Scott: That is the question of the hour, isn’t it?

Chandler smirks at Jessie before walking off, leaving the reporter confused.

The song begins its heavy thrashing as the dual guitars begin their monstrous battle for supremacy as the arena lights dim. A red spotlight shines on the black curtains and the fog begins to rise when Phil Anselmo’s screaming vocals begin…

Anthony Rother steps through the curtains dressed in one of his usual suits, holding his leather briefcase that he claims is only protecting contracts with FGA Management. Marx & Tryon step out from the entrance and stand in front of the smoked out curtains as the house lights return to brightness.

Both men are dawning black hooded sweatshirts that obscure their face over their singlets. The trio stare out into the crowd, take in boos, and then begin walking to the ring. Rother jaws with a few of the fans in the aisle way.

J.A. Aldridge: Introducing first, the challengers! Being accompanied to the ring by Anthony Rother! Making their way to the ring at a total combined weight of 462 pounds! They are the team of Chris Tryon and Jason Marx… THE UUUUUUSUAAAAAL SUUUUUUUUUSPEEEECTS!!!

The two men pause at the base of the ring apron as Rother ascends into the ring and steps through the ropes.

Both men hop up onto the ring apron next and enter through the ropes as the music begins to fade. They begin removing their shirts as Rother begins a brief coaching session before the bell rings.

Kris Cruise: To the surprise of no one, it turned out that Anthony Rother was full of it when it came to his “new leaf” garbage.

Stephy Auger: Guess what? I don’t care! If I’m The Usual Suspects or anyone else in FGA, I want a manager like Anthony Rother! Did you hear his words? Did you hear the passion with which he spoke? The man would give up a limb to make sure that his men succeeded and win gold in the end. This is a manager that doesn’t care about his own fame and notoriety. He would rather give up his health and put himself in harm’s way if it meant his client got one step closer to the prize. I don’t fault Anthony Rother for doing what he had to do. The Elysian Empire have no one to blame but themselves. Now they can sit back and watch as a team with championship pedigree once again takes the gold.

Kris Cruise: Well that’ll be much easier said than done. Here come the champs!

When the first bass drum thumps, Dan pulls the curtain back and walks out from behind the curtain with his girlfriend Peaches hanging onto his arm. He gives a head nod to the fans before leaning over and giving Peaches a long kiss at the top of the ramp. He then begins heading towards the ring as a spotlight stays on them.

J.A. Aldridge: And their opponents! Introducing first, being accompanied to the ring b peaches! Now residing out of Raleigh, North Carolina and weighing in at 200 pounds! He is one half of the reigning… defending… FGA World Tag Team Champions... DAN HERRRRREEEEERAAAAAAA!!!

As Dan and Peaches make their way to the ring Dan slaps hands with the fans on one side of the entrance-way while Peaches walks down the other side slapping hands with the fans there. At the bottom of the entrance way, Peaches leans in and gives Dan a peck on the cheek as the pair go their separate ways. Dan gets to the ring and walks up the stairs. He swings around the ring post and ducks between the top and middle rope. Peaches on the other hand walks around the ring apron towards the commentary desk where she finds a folding chair waiting for her next to the ring announcer. Once in the ring Dan walks over showing his taped wrists to the referee who nods at him and sends him to his corner. He grabs the ropes on either side of the turnbuckle and leans in with his head down prepping himself for the match to begin.

Kris Cruise: Dan Herrera already lost gold elsewhere this week. He’s vowed that he won’t make it two title losses. Can he hold up his end of the bargain? If 2016 taught us anything, yes he can.

The lights dim down and take on a purplish hue as a light smoky mist fills the entranceway. The opening to A$AP Ferg's "New Level" cues up.

As the beat drops, the crowd gives a loud pop as Cordelia Stevenson emerges from the mist with a bounce in her step and dancing to the music. She comes to a stop atop the walkway, glancing around and taking in the reception before giving the crowd a warm smile. She rolls her neck around before bowing her head and letting her hair fall in front of her face. A few seconds go by before she snaps her head up, whipping her hair back from in front of her face.

J.A. Aldridge: And his partner, from Freeport, Long Island! Weighing in at 146 pounds! She is one half of the reigning… defending FGA World Tag Team Champions, as well as the reigning FGA World Champion… COOOOORDYYYYYY STEEEEEEEVEEEEENNNNNSOOOOON!!!

She continues on down the ramp, working from side to side with a big smile as she slaps the hands of fans along the way. She gets to the ring and hops up onto the apron, mouthing the words and bouncing to the music as she makes her way around the side, towards the middle. She turns and faces her crowd, stretching her arms out to the side and slightly tilting her head backwards as she soaks in their reaction. She gives them an appreciative nod and blows a kiss at them, before stepping into the ring and making her way over towards the opposite turnbuckle. She quickly hops up and holds her arms out, drawing a reaction from that side of the crowd as well. She unzips her hoodie and tosses it away before hopping down and making her way over to her corner as the music dies down.

Kris Cruise: And here’s the doule champion, Cordy Stevenson. Earlier tonight, it was announced that she will be facing… and I still can’t believe I’m saying this… but she’ll be facing the other FGA World Champion, Zero McHannon at Grapple Kingdom. The two World Champions will battle it out to determine who is the undisputed World Champion. But that’s down the road next month. Right now, she’s got another title to defend: the FGA World Tag Team Titles.

Stephy Auger: That’s right. I hope her head is in the game. For Dan Herrera’s sake, her head better be in this match because if it’s not, we could be looking at new champions.

The bell sounds as Stevenson and Tryon lock up. After jockeying for position, Stevenson places Tryon in a side headlock. But Tryon is able to shove Stevenson off of him and into the ropes. When Stevenson returns, Tryon knocks her down with a standing shoulder block. He then goes for an elbow drop. But Stevenson rolls out of the way, causing Tryon’s elbow to hit the canvas.

Kris Cruise: The World Champion was just a step too quick for Tryon there...

As Tryon gets back to his feet, the crowd cheers when Stevenson quickly latches onto the arm and wrenches it. She then delivers another arm wrench. But Tryon uses his free arm to grab Stevenson and moves her across the ring. While Tryon’s got Stevenson pressed up against the turnbuckles, the ref heads over and gives them both until the count of five to break it up.

Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…

Both wrestlers make a clean break. Tryon then motions away from Stevenson before throwing out a sucker punch. But Stevenson ducks under it. When Tryon turns around, the crowd cheers as Stevenson gives him a series of right hands. She then takes Tryon and goes for an irish whip. But Tryon reverses, sending Stevenson across the ring and into the opposite corner. Tryon then runs across the ring and into the corner, but Stevenson knocks him back with a back elbow. After stumbling back, Tryon runs back into the corner. This time, Stevenson knocks him back with a boot to the face. After shaking off the blow, Tryon runs back into the corner. This time, Stevenson slingshots herself out onto the apron and doubles Tryon over with a shoulder thrust through the ropes. The crowd cheers when follows up with a sunset flip.

Kris Cruise: Cordy Stevenson’s looking pretty good out there tonight if you ask me.

Stephy Auger: I thought maybe she’d be more focused on Zero and her World Championship. But it looks like she’s locked into this match, which is something I didn’t expect.

After both grapplers return to their feet, Stevenson grabs him by the arm, wrenches in, brings Tryon over towards the Status Quo corner before tagging Dan Herrera in. The crowd cheers as Herrera gets in and doubles Tryon over with a punch to the midsection. After three knees to the midsection, Herrera applies an abdominal stretch.

Kris Cruise: Herrera looking to already wear down Tryon.

The ref asks Tryon if she wants to give up. When Tryon refuses, Herrera begins to deliver pointed elbow strikes to the ribs.

Kris Cruise: Herrera trying to make it a little harder for Tryon to breath with that attack on the ribs. Tryon’s the second fastest grappler in this match. But that speed can be quickly taken away after being worn down with holds like this one.

The ref checks back in with Tryon and asks him if he wants to give up. When Tryon refuses, Herrera lifts up Tryon and throws him down with the Final Word (pumphandle slam). The crowd cheers as he makes the cover.

Kris Cruise: Status Quo have done a great job of cutting off the ring and keeping Tryon isolated early on.

Herrera picks up Tryon, moves him into the ropes and then delivers five shoulder thrusts to the midsection. He then takes Tryon and whips him into the far ropes. When Tryon returns, Herrera goes for a back body drop. But Tryon’s able to slip down from behind. He then wraps his arms around Herrera’s waist. But Herrera is able to nail Tryon with a back elbow to the face. After performing a standing switch, Herrera hoists Tryon up across his shoulders for an Electric Chair, causing the crowd to cheer. But Tryon’s able to deliver repeated punches to the top of the head. After slipping down in front of Herrera, Tryon follows up with a backflip kick. While Herrera is stunned, Tryon gets back to his feet and heads into the ropes. When Tryon returns, Herrera scoops him up and brings him down with a Samoan Drop. Tryon immediately guards his midsection before Herrera turns over and makes the lateral press.

Kris Cruise: Tryon’s comeback was quickly cut short.

Herrera picks up Tryon and whips him hard into the Status Quo corner. He then runs across the ring and connects with a clothesline before tagging Stevenson back in. Stevenson gets in, brings Tryon from out of the corner and whips him into the far ropes. When Tryon returns, the crowd cheers when Stevenson knocks him down with a spinning heel kick. She makes the cover.

Stevenson brings Tryon back to his feet before doubling him over with a knee strike. She then quickly places Tryon in a front facelock before going for The Allure (twist of fate). But Tryon’s able to slip out and shoves Stevenson into the ropes. When Stevenson returns, Tryon goes for a back body drop. But Stevenson slips down from behind before following up with a russian leg sweep. While Tryon’s down, Stevenson gets up, runs towards the ropes and connects with a springboard corkscrew bodypress to cheers from the crowd. She turns over and makes the cover.

Kris Cruise: Tryon avoids another three count. But he needs to tag out and get his partner in this match. He’s really been worked over thus far.

Stevenson picks up Tryon and whips him into the corner. She then runs across the ring and motions for a handspring back elbow. But she puts on the brakes as soon as Anthony Rother climbs back up onto the apron.

Kris Cruise: Oh come on!

Stevenson runs over to him him off. But Rother is able to hop back down. When Stevenson turns her attention to Tryon, the crowd boos when Tryon rakes her across the eyes. He then takes Stevenson and whips her into the ropes. When Stevenson returns, Tryon sets up for another back body drop. But this time, Stevenson stops and plants him with a snap DDT. She turns over and makes the cover.

Stephy Auger: It might be time for the Suspects to roll to the outside and regroup, Cruise.

Stevenson heads over to the corner and tags Herrera back in. After Herrera gets in, he picks up Tryon and goes for an irish whip. But Tryon reverses, sending Herrera into the ropes. But instead of coming back, Herrera gets tripped up by Rother on the outside. The crowd erupts with boos.

Kris Cruise: That’s twice now that Rother has inserted himself into this match!

Stephy Auger: He’s doing what he has to do! Right now, it’s all about breaking up Status Quo’s momentum!

Herrera turns and kicks at the bottom rope. But Rother quickly moves out of the way. Before Herrera can turn around, Tryon connects with a superkick to the back of the head, which knocks Herrera through the ropes and out onto the apron.

Kris Cruise:Man, did Herrera get caught with that superkick to the back of the head!

Stephy Auger: Both did he ever! Look at the back of Herrera’s head, Cruise! Do you see that cut?

A close up shot reveals Herrera’s been busted open.There’s a two inch gash across the back of Herrera’s head.

Kris Cruise: Man, !

Marx heads over, pulls Herrera up on the apron, lifts him upside down and plants him with a piledriver on the apron. The crowd erupts with boos as Herrera crumbles to the floor.

Stephy Auger: That’s one way to turn the match around in your favor, Cruise!

Kris Cruise: Herrera was already busted open with a superkick to the back of the head. Then Marx just piles on with a piledriver on the hardest part of the ring!

Peaches rushes over to check on Herrera. But Marx hops down and nudges her out of the way. He then takes Herrera and rolls him back into the ring, where Tryon waits to make the cover.

Stevenson drags Tryon off of Herrera.

While Stevenson heads back into the corner, Tryon picks up Herrera and moves him into the corner. He then tags Marx in. After Marx gets in, he delivers a series of shoulder thrusts to the midsection. After bringing a hunched over Herrera from out of the corner, Marx tries to lift him up for a brainbuster. But Herrera blocks it. Marx then goes for another brainbuster. But again, Herrera blocks it. Marx then tries to muscle up Herrera again for a brainbuster. But Herrera continues to block it. He then grabs Marx and goes for a vertical suplex. But Marx slips down from behind and follows up with a bridging German Suplex.

Kris Cruise: Right on the back of the head! Could this be it!?

The crowd breathe a sigh of relief when Herrera gets his shoulder up.

Marx picks up Herrera, turns him around, grabs him by the head with both hands and lunges forward, nailing Herrera with a headbutt across the back of the head. Herrera is sent staggering into the ropes. Marx then heads over, pulls Herrera away from the ropes and delivers another headbutt across the back of the head. The blow causes Herrera to drop down to a knee. While Herrera tries to shake out the cobwebs, Marx runs into the ropes. When Marx returns, he knocks Herrera down from behind with a clothesline to the back of the head. The crowd continue to boo as Marx pulls him over and makes the cover.

Stephy Auger: The Usual Suspects smelled blood in the water, Cruise, and they’ve been on the attack every since!

Kris Cruise: Status Quo had a death grip on this match. But in a split second, a superkick changed everything. Before, it was Tryon that was getting rocked over. Now it’s Herrera on the receiving end. Unbelievable.

After delivering a scoop slam, Marx heads over and tags Tryon back in. Once Tryon gets in, he delivers a corkscrew leg drop before making the cover.

Herrera gets his shoulder up.

Tryon picks up Herrera, heads into the corner and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. Tryon then delivers several forearm across across the back of the head. After moving Herrera out of the way, Tryon hoists himself up onto the middle ropes, grabs Herrera and goes for a Tornado DDT. But Herrera stops Tryon in mid turn.

Stephy Auger: Uh oh...

Tryon shakes his head as Herrera grabs him, runs across the ring and rams him back-first into the corner. After Herrera drops down to his knees, Tryon staggers from out of the corner before collapsing to the canvas. He then turns over and arches his back. With both grapplers down, the ref starts his count.

After both grapplers return to their feet, Tryon runs over and goes for a step-up enzuigiri. But Herrera ducks, reaches down and yanks Tryon back to his feet before delivering a release German Suplex that sends Tryon over onto his stomach. The crowd erupts with cheers.

Kris Cruise: What a German from Herrera!

While Tryon is still down in the prone position, Herrera slowly sits up before turning over on all fours.

Kris Cruise: Herrera’s starting to make his way over towards the corner!

Herrera crawls over towards his corner while Stevenson keeps her arm stretched out.

Kris Cruise: Peaches is trying her best to get this crowd behind her man! Stevenson’s got her arm stretched out as far as it can go! Can Herrera make it in time!?

Herrera gets up, stumbles over and tags Stevenson back in to an explosion of cheers!

Kris Cruise: She’s back in!

Stephy Auger: Gah!

As soon as Stevenson gets in and rushes over towards Tryon, Tryon throws out a clothesline. But Stevenson ducks, runs towards the ropes and knocks him down with The Beautiful Nightmare (disaster kick). She then heads back into the ropes. When Stevenson returns, she goes for a rolling senton. But Tryon gets his knees up.

Stephy Auger: Tryon blocked it!

After Stevenson rolls off of his knees, Tryon sits up, turns over and begins crawling over towards his corner. He’s about three inches away from tagging out when Stevenson grabs him by the ankle and pulls him back towards the center of the ring. Stevenson then picks up Tryon and goes for an irish whip. But Tryon reverses, sending her over into the ropes (where Marx nails her with a clubbing shot across the back of the head). As Stevenson stumbles back over towards Tryon, who knocks her down with a roundhouse kick. He then drops down and hooks the leg.

But Stevenson ducks and runs into the ropes. When Stevenson comes back, Marx goes for a back elbow. But Stevenson ducks and runs into the ropes. When Stevenson comes back, the crowd boos when Marx lifts her up, turns and throws her down with a spinebuster. He makes the cover.

Rother can be seen on the outside slapping the apron as Marx heads over and tags Tryon in. While Tryon heads to the top turnbuckle, Marx goes over and hooks his arms around Stevenson’s legs. He then catapults Stevenson as Tryon comes the top and knocks her down with a flying clothesline. The crowd boos as he makes the cover.

Tryon picks up Stevenson and whips her into the ropes. When Stevenson returns, the crowd boos when Tryon knocks her down with a superkick. After dragging her into position, Tryon goes for a double jump moonsault. But Stevenson rolls out of the way, causing Tryon to crash onto the canvas to a chorus of cheers.

Kris Cruise: The high risk doesn’t pay off for Chris Tryon!

After Tryon gets up on one knee, Stevenson heads over and plants him with a kneeling snap DDT. While both grapplers are down, the ref starts his count.

Kris Cruise: Both teams have been giving it their all here tonight! But who will prevail!? Will it be the champions or the challengers!? Status Quo or The Usual Suspects!?

Peaches can be seen slapping the canvas while another shot shows Rother screaming something at Tryon.

After both grapplers return to their feet, Stevenson runs over and tries to leapfrog over Tryon. But Tryon catches her in mid air. He then runs across the ring and rams her back-first into the Usual Suspects corner. After stumbling back towards the center of the ring, Tryon runs back into the corner. But Stevenson catches him with a back elbow. She then nails Marx with a back elbow to the face.


Kris Cruise: Stevenson’s giving it to the Suspects in their own corner!
Tryon then runs back into the corner. But Stevenson knocks him back with a boot to the face. She then turns over and doubles Marx over with a shoulder through through the ropes before planting him with a Triangle DDT on the apron.

Kris Cruise: Some payback for the piledriver on Herrera, no doubt!

When Stevenson rolls back into the ring, Tryon dives over into the corner. But Stevenson moves out of the way. After Tryon crashes into the corner, Stevenson turns him around, whips him across the ring, follows him over towards the corner and delivers a handspring back elbow before tagging Herrera back in.

Once Herrera gets in, the crowd explodes with cheers as he hoists Tryon up onto the top rope, grabs him, brings him over towards the center of the ring and plants him with the Walking Papers (muscle buster).

Kris Cruise: That’s it! That’s it! Tryon’s just been handed his Walking Papers!

Stephy Auger: NO! NO! NO!

Herrera turns over and makes the cover.

Stephy Auger: NOOOOOOO!

Rother gets up on the apron and distracts the referee, causing the crowd to erupt with boos.

Kris Cruise: This is the third time now!



The ref goes over to Rother, points at him and then throws him out.

Stephy Auger: WHAT!?

Rother is shocked. The ref reiterates that he’s throwing him from ringside and sending him to the back. Once the news finally registers with him, Rother becomes irate.

Kris Cruise: Good! Good! Get him out of there!

Rother and the ref continue arguing back and forth until Peaches yanks Rother down to the floor before socking him with a right hand to cheers from the crowd…

Kris Cruise: Peaches just knocked Rother into next wee-

… but the cheers quickly turn to boos when Marx turns Peaches inside out with a running clothesline.

Stephy Auger: What a clothesline from Marx!

Herrera heads over and begins yelling at Marx while Marx does the same. While Herrera is distracted, Tryon runs up from behind and rolls him up with an O’Connor Roll.

After both grapplers return to their feet, Tryon throws out a roundhouse kick. But Herrera ducks, spins Tryon around and throws him down with a belly to belly suplex. He makes the cover.

Marx dives over and breaks up the pin.

Marx returns to his feet and puts the boots to Herrera while the crowd boos.

Stephy Auger: There you go, Marx! Get him! Get him!

The Usual Suspects pick up Herrera and whip him into the ropes before setting up for a double back body drop. But as Herrera hits the ropes, Stevenson makes the blind tag. When Herrera comes back, he stops and kicks Tryon square in the face. Marx then stands up and throws out a running clothesline. But Herrera ducks, sending Marx over towards the ropes. Stevenson then pulls down the top rope, which sends Marx down to the outside. Stevenson then gets back in the ring before running into the far ropes. When Marx gets up and turns around, Stevenson leaps over the top rope and suicide plancha.

Kris Cruise: What a dive to the outside by one half of the Tag Champs! Unbelievable!

Back in the ring, Herrera picks up Tryon and whips him into the corner. The Boss then charges into the corner. But Tryon hoists himself up onto the top turnbuckle and nails Herrera with a front kick to the face. After slipping down and doubling Herrera over with a knee to the midsection, Tryon hammerlocks Herrera’s right arm and then throws him shoulder-first into the ring post. The crowd boos.

Kris Cruise: Herrera just got tossed shoulder-first into the ring post.

Stephy Auger: Yeah! That was the same arm that Izzy Anders worked over last week!

As Herrera slowly slips through the ropes and falls to the floor, Tryon turns around and catches Stevenson with a kick to the midsection. He then takes Stevenson and whips her into the ropes. When Stevenson returns, the crowd cheers when she plants him with Head over Heels (blockbuster ddt). Stevenson picks up Tryon, places him in a front facelock and holds her arm out.

Stephy Auger: Don’t you do it, Cordy! Don’t you do it!

Stevenson nods at the adoring crowd before swinging and bringing Tryon down with The Allure. The crowd responds with an explosion of cheers. She then makes the cover.

Kris Cruise: What the heck is Marx doing!

The ref goes over and yells at Marx to get back to his corner. But instead of doing so, Marx grabs onto the referee’s shirt. While the ref does his best to separate himself from Marx, the crowd gasps when Zero McHannon comes from out of nowhere and slides into the ring.

Stephy Auger: It’s the REAL World Champion, Cruise!
