Just as Jaelynn boldly stated on Twitter, she would end 2016 on a high note. Getting the win over newcomer Saylor affirmed that she was climbing up the ladder. Slowly, but surely, she’s progressed in the ring, however, her attitude and outlook needed work according to her trainer Randy. Nonetheless, her reasons for wanting to do well were noble and valid.
“Omg! Thank you for the xmas care package! I can’t wait to show off this 3GW hoodie when classes resume.”
Audrielle’s text message brought joy to Jaelynn given that she could afford some top notch gifts, and this was the next best thing to physically celebrating the holiday together. She types inside the message box with the following:
“Please represent me well. Kindly refrain from getting it stained with beefy mac n’ cheese.”
She sends a tongue sticking out emoji to reassure Audrielle that she was “pulling her chain.”
Since learning of her upcoming match, Jaelynn has been searching the depths of YouTube for footage on her opponent, El Grande Malo. Along with training in the ring, Randy helped translate some of the Spanglish the man in the lucha mask spoke.
“Bueno Tyme Under the Boardwalk. Bueno Club. That's cute, I suppose.”
Jaelynn makes her opening statement already addressing her opponent. She shrugs lightly before continuing.
“If you haven’t formed an opinion of me yet, surely your ‘compadre’ Pedro had some sound words for me. We didn't start things off on the right foot, there was something about him that I found...annoying, like a cockroach. After viewing your past promos, I arrived to the conclusion that you're better off as a ‘less is more’ type. You do well in the ring, but the moment you open your mouth - ugh, no. Just. Stop. Si-len-see-yo Por-fa-bor.”
Emphasis on the American accent in her poor attempt at speaking Spanish.
“Even then, you're not as ‘malo’ as you think. The Bueno Club lost to Gold Star Connection last month on Night 2 of the Red Carpet Rumble. ‘Don’t look down, amigo, that first step is a doozy!’ Remember when you said that? Despite getting the win over Lukas Gold in singles action in November, your words came back to bite you in the ass. You disappointed Pedro and neither members of The Bueno Club celebrated the holidays with the Tag Team Championship belts rested by a pile of Christmas presents.
Speaking of Tag Team Championships, it’s no secret that I am in pursuit of a partner to kick Peaches’ ass and get her out of my hair for good. I don’t pride myself in being the friendliest on the roster, however, I will work with anyone that has a substantial amount of competency and intelligence. I am still scouting for a partner, and anyone from the roster that is viewing this promo should also check me out on Thursday Night Challenge 7. Winning my first tag team match last year, along with defeating a former tag team champion should not make a potential partner hesitant. ‘Yay for Jae’ is the slogan that will run across your minds after Thursday Night Challenge.”
She makes air quotes with her index and middle fingers for her impromptu slogan.
“Initially I found it amusing picturing myself competing in tag team matches, however, I continue to impress myself in unexpected ways. I will continue to surprise myself as I improve. Whatever distractions I have, are minimal in comparison to those that use their wrestler status as a stepping stool to become a movie star or model. I want to master at something that I already had a knack for. I wish I could say that about my Spanish, but it could be worse. I could speak like Malo and pretend it makes me stand out in a good way. I don’t need any of that, though. The Bueno Club isn’t as big as you think, either. Gold Star Connection proved you and Pedro wrong first, and I will let you know that despite it being a new year, you’re still...you. Ew.”
