Disappointment. Frustration. Anger. These were the emotions that consumed Emily Carter after the Red Carpet Rumble was all said and done. She had tweeted that this would be a Double Shot Weekend to remember. And it was, but just for all the wrong reasons.
Emily didn't know where this change in attitude from Mercy Williams came from. Was The Crimson Baroness rubbing off on her? Nah. The two of them had known each other for a year at this point and Mercy never showed any hostility until the Pilot episode of Challenge. She had brushed off Echo's comments about Mercy being jealous of her. Why would someone as drop dead gorgeous as Mercy be jealous of her Did she feel like she needed to knock off Emily to get ahead? If so, then things could've been settled in the ring and the better wrestler would've won. But after being attacked from behind on Night 1 and then being eliminated by an ALREADY ELIMINATED Mercy on Night 2, it was now clear that this had nothing at all to do with the spirit of competition. Echo was right. This had everything to do with pettiness.
Well if it's a fight that Petty LaBelle over there wanted, then it's a fight that Emily would give her.
Be careful what you wish for...

"Oh hi, babes! Emily Carter here and 2016 has been a crazy year, hasn't it? For me, it's been a year filled with trials, tribulations and triumphs. On one hand, I've lost a tournament, lost a friend and even lost time in the ring due to a savage attack by an equally savage man. On the other hand, I've won a tournament, won Tag Titles and even became the top champion of a promotion. What will 2017 bring? Hopefully more of the latter than the former. But we're not done with 2016, are we babes?
We've got one more date. One more show to put our final stamp on the year. One more chance to leave 2016 on a positive note. Well I don't know about all of you guys. But I plan on exiting this year with my chin up, my arm raised and another notch in the win column.
Which brings me to you, Mace.
The two of us, we're not strangers to each other, are we? And nope, I'm not just talking about that match from a couple of weeks ago that ended in a Double Countout. I'm talking about last year. You were a big star at the time. And me? I was just a nobody. So I don't blame you for not remembering our first matchup. So let me bring you up to speed.
Last Summer. UK Cup. SSWA. Are the bells now starting to ring?
We were in the same group, along with Jay Harris Danielle Vasquez. Me? I was way in over my head, Mace. I had no business being in the same group as the three of you. Heck, I had just completed my LDFC tryout two months prior. I knew that the three of you were way out of my league. But I felt like if I wanted to better myself, I had to test myself against people that were better than me. So I left the familiar confines of LDFC and traveled to a foreign country for the first time in my life. I threw myself into the deep end. It was sink or swim for me. And you know what? I treaded water with a Loss to you, a W over Jay and a Draw against Danielle. After advancing to the Quarters with Danielle, she beat me and Ingrid Storm in a Triple Threat. Now I didn't get to hoist up a fancy trophy. But I learned more in defeat than in victory. Those two tough losses taught me so much about myself and how much more I needed to up my game. In a way, you and Danielle are the reason why I'm the wrestler I am today. So thanks, Mace.
Now I get to show you everything I've learned since then... again.
Since coming to 3GW, you've walked around with an air of superiority. From the spotlight to the main events, you've thought that everything should just be handed to you. Well if you think you're getting handed an easy W this Thursday, then think again. 'Cause the only thing getting handed to you is your butt!
I didn't back down from you last year or last month.
I won't be starting now.
This Thursday, you're gonna find out that those bright lights you've been craving for are just a little too hot for you to handle. T
his Thursday, Mace, the Emilution continues on when the Bulldover gets knocked over and knocked out.
