SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH
Cordy Stevenson, Johnny Karma, Dom Harter vs. The Usual Suspects and Anthony Rother
Dimebag Darrell’s building rift of “Cowboys from Hell” by Pantera abruptly begins over the PA system and the fans rise in anticipation of The Usual Suspects. The song begins its heavy thrashing as the dual guitars begin their monstrous battle for supremacy as the arena lights dim. A red spotlight shines on the black curtains and the fog begins to rise when Phil Anselmo’s screaming vocals begin…
Oh…COME ON!!!Anthony Rother steps through the curtains dressed in one of his usual suits, holding his leather briefcase that he claims is only protecting contracts with FGA Management. Marx & Tryon step out from the entrance and stand in front of the smoked out curtains as the house lights return to brightness.
Under the lights where we stand tall
Nobody touches us at all
Showdown, shootout, spread fear within, without
We’re gonna take what’s ours to have
Spread the word throughout the land
They say the bad guys wear black
We’re tagged and can’t turn backBoth men are dawning black hooded sweatshirts that obscure their face over their singlets. The trio stare out into the crowd, take in boos, and then begin walking to the ring. Rother jaws with a few of the fans in the aisle way.
J.A. Aldridge: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, they are the team of Chris Tryon, Jason Marx and Anthony Rother… THE UUUUUUUSUAAAAALLLLLL SUUUUUUSSSSSSPEEEEEEEEECCCCTSSSS!!!
You see us comin’
And you all together run for cover
We’re taking over this townThe two men pause at the base of the ring apron as Rother ascends into the ring and steps through the ropes.
Here we come reach for your gun
And you better listen well my friend, you see
It’s been slow down below,
Aimed at you we’re the cowboys from hellBoth men hop up onto the ring apron next and enter through the ropes as the music begins to fade. They begin removing their shirts as Rother begins a brief coaching session before the bell rings.
Stephy Auger: I want you to know just how outrageous this is!
Kris Cruise: What is?
Stephy Auger: Anthony Rother being forced to compete here tonight! The man is not a trained wrestler!
Kris Cruise: So? That has never stopped him from sticking his nose in matches TIME and TIME AGAIN! As far as I’m concerned, he’s getting exactly what he deserves! How many times has his interference cost someone a match? How many times has he screwed someone over? He med his bed, Stephy. Tonight, he’s got to lay in it.
The opening chords of “Low Self Opinion” begin to play throughout the arena as the some of crowd begin to boo, while others cheer. After ten seconds or so, Dom Harter steps out from behind the curtain. He throws his arms out to either side, the ever familiar crooked grin plastered on his face as he begins to stride down the aisle, soaking in the reaction that are coming from the fans here in Albany.
J.A. Aldridge: And their opponents! Introducing first, from Cambridge, Ontario, Canada! Weighing in at 225 pounds! He is “The Tenacious Little Bastard”... DOOOOOOOM HAAAAAAARRRRTEEEEERRRRRR!!!
Harter climbs up the ring steps and climbs in through the middle rope; once inside the squared circle, Harter climbs up to the middle rope, posing for the fans as he waits for the match to start.
The lights inside the Times Union Center dim, casting the arena in darkness - and once the arena is as dark as it can get we hear the sound of beer bottles rhythmically being tapped together for a moment, which segues into the opening riff of Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir"
As Jimmy Page's riff grows in intensity, Johnny Karma walks out at the top of the ramp clad in his NY Mets jacket, with Cherry Baum standing by his side, and rather than his customary greeting to the audience Karma walks out looking ready to end months of physical and emotional abuse at the hands of the New Kings
Oh, let the sun beat down upon my face
And stars fill my dream
I'm a traveler of both time and space
To be where I have been
Karma walks down the ramp, looking far more focused than we would usually expect of him, his mind set on the task in hand - and the reason why things have to go down tonight
To sit with elders of the gentle race
This world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait
All will be revealed
Karma reaches ringside as the cacophony of horns slams into high gear, removing his jacket and passing it to Cherry - and as Cherry takes his jacket, the pair have a last minute exchange at ringside, after which karma turns and briskly walks up the ring steps before making his way into the ring
J.A. Aldridge: His partner, being accompanied to the ring by Cherry Baum! From Queens, New York! Weighing in at 225 pounds… JOOOOOOHNNYYYYY KAAAAARRRRMAAAAAA!!!
Talk in song from tongues of lilting grace
Sounds caress my ear
And not a word I heard could I relate
The story was quite clear
Once inside the ring, Karma walks to the nearest turnbuckles and climbs up, looking towards the entranceway as if goading the New Kings to make an appearance, before climbing down and crossing the ring to climb the opposite turnbuckles to stand tall before the crowd, knowing it;s time to do or die - and he is in no mood to do the dying part.
The lights dim down and take on a purplish hue as a light smoky mist fills the entranceway. The opening to A$AP Ferg's "New Level" cues up.
I’m on a new level
I’m on it, I’m on it
As the beat drops, the crowd gives a loud pop as Cordelia Stevenson emerges from the mist with a bounce in her step and dancing to the music. She comes to a stop atop the walkway, glancing around and taking in the reception before giving the crowd a warm smile. She rolls her neck around before bowing her head and letting her hair fall in front of her face. A few seconds go by before she snaps her head up, whipping her hair back from in front of her face.
J.A. Aldridge: And their partner, from Freeport, Long Island! Weighing in at 146 pounds! She is the reigning FGA World Champion, COOOORRRRRDYYYYYYYY STEEEEEEVEEENNNNSOOOOONNNN!!!
She continues on down the ramp, working from side to side with a big smile as she slaps the hands of fans along the way. She gets to the ring and hops up onto the apron, mouthing the words and bouncing to the music as she makes her way around the side, towards the middle. She turns and faces her crowd, stretching her arms out to the side and slightly tilting her head backwards as she soaks in their reaction. She gives them an appreciative nod and blows a kiss at them, before stepping into the ring and making her way over towards the opposite turnbuckle. She quickly hops up and holds her arms out, drawing a reaction from that side of the crowd as well. She unzips her hoodie and tosses it away before hopping down and making her way over to her corner as the music dies down.
Kris Cruise: All three of these competitors have history with the Usual Suspects. Whether it’s the rivalry between Harter and Tryon that started several years back, Rother sicking the Suspects on Harter in recent weeks, Stevenson’s run-ins with the Suspects as apart of Status Quo… and last but not least, the distasteful comments that Rother made about Karma’s recently deceased grandfather. The Suspects have dug themselves a hole, Stephy. Now it’s up to them to get themselves out of it.
Stephy Auger: I know what you’re thinking. This seems insurmountable. You all think this is a glorified Handicap Match. That last part is true. But let’s be honest. Do you honestly believe Dom Harter when he claims that he’s a changed man? He didn’t sound like a changed man when he took those cheapshots at the World Champion, aka ONE OF HIS PARTNERS HERE TONIGHT, just a day or two ago. Number two, Cordy is good. She’s great. But she’s one broken ankle away from having her career ended. She’s a liability in there, Cruise. It’s a miracle that she’s got a clean bill of health… for now. All it takes is one well-placed shot and it’s over for her. Then there’s Karma, the man that has spent countless Vertigos and Pay Per Views getting knocked around arenas all across this country. Everyone wants to make a big deal about what he did to Johnny Cannon. But he only beat up Cannon after he had wrestled a grueling match. Let’s see how well Karma does against two fresh opponents that are looking to take him apart.
The match starts with Tryon slowly making his way back up the steps while Harter waits for him in the ring. As soon as Tryon steps halfway through the ropes, Harter marches over to attack. So Tryon quickly steps back out onto the apron.
Kris Cruise: It looks like Tryon doesn’t want any part of Harter when it’s one on one.
After the ref gets in between the two, Harter is forced back to the center of the ring. Once Tryon gets back in, Harter quickly marches back over towards him. Tryon then quickly steps back before dropping to his back and rolling to the floor.
Kris Cruise: Again with the stalling from Tryon!
Marx waves Tryon over. After Tryon makes his way over, The Usual Suspects and Rother huddle up. Both Rother and Tryon look at Marx. But Marx just gives them a reassuring nod.
Kris Cruise: What was all of that about?
Tryon climbs back onto the apron the apron and slowly enters back through the ropes. The ref quickly motions for both men to engage. As soon as he gets the cue, Harter marches back over towards Tryon. But once again, Tryon begins to create distance between the two as he moves away from her. He then quickly steps halfway back through the ropes, which forces the ref to move Harter back.
Stephy Auger: Look at how frustrated Harter is getting. Tell me it isn’t working.
Once Harter is a considerable distance away from Tryon, the ref motions for Tryon to get back in. Tryon does just that as he circles the ring. The two men size each other up before motioning for a lock up. But at the last second, the crowd boos when Tryon slaps Harter across the face.
Kris Cruise: Uh oh....
Harter marches over towards Tryon. But while Harter’s back is turned, the crowd boos when Marx rushes over and clotheslines him down from behind.
Stephy Auger: See, I told you they had a plan.
While Marx heads back out onto the apron, the crowd continues to boo while Tryon puts the boots to The Tenacious Little Bastard. Tryon picks up Harter, places him in a side headlock and rakes his face along the top rope. After Harter staggers over into a nearby corner, Tryon turns him around and delivers shoot kicks to the chest before delivering a jumping back kick to the face. He then nails Harter with a forearm strike, followed by a back elbow strike. Tryon delivers another forearm strike, followed by a back elbow. He then gives Harter one more forearm, followed by a back elbow. Tryon then brings Harter from out of the corner before whipping him into the far ropes. When Harter returns, Tryon throws out a spin kick. But Harter ducks and runs into the ropes. When Harter comes back, he tackles Tryon down with a double leg takedown. He then quickly mounts himself on top of Tryon and hammers away with wild rights and lefts. Rother can be heard yelling at the ref that Harter is using illegal closed fists.
Stephy Auger: That’s right, Rother, they should be disqualified right this second for Harter’s closed fists!
Kris Cruise: Oh stop it!
Harter picks up Tryon, marches into the corner and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Tryon around, the crowd cheers as Harter unleashes a series of shoulder thrusts to the midsection before stomping Tryon down into the corner. From there, Harter chokes Tryon with his foot.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Harter lets go… only to choke Tryon again with his foot. This time, he pulls down on the top rope.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Harter reluctantly lets go.
Stephy Auger: … that doesn’t look like a man that’s turned over a new leaf to me.
Harter pulls Tryon up by the hair before blasting him in the face with a forearm smash. Harter takes Tryon and whips him into the opposite corner. After sizing Tryon up, Harter runs across the ring, hurls himself into the corner and connects with a double knee strike to the chest. After Tryon crumbles from out of the corner, Harter heads over and tags in Johnny Karma.
Kris Cruise: Here he comes!
The crowd explodes with cheers as Karma gets in. He picks up Tryon and delivers an arm wrench. Karma delivers an arm wrench, then delivers an arm wrench in the opposite direction. Karma then delivers a hard arm wrench that sends Tryon flipping down to the canvas. After dropping an elbow across Tryon’s chest, he turns over and makes the cover.

When Harter lets go, Tryon staggers away from the ropes before dropping to his knees and guarding his chest. Kris Cruise: Tryon’s tactics might have worked early on. But right now, he’s being worked over by everyone on the opposing team. He needs to tag out to Marx or Roth-...well, he needs to tag out to Marx since there’s no way Rother is letting himself get tagged in.
Karma picks up Tryon, wrenches his arm, drags him back over towards his corner and tags in Cordy Stevenson.
Kris Cruise: Here comes the World Champ!
The roof is nearly blown off the Times Union Center when the FGA World Champion enters the ring. She then delivers a knife edge chop before kicking Tryon in the midsection. She then takes Tryon and goes for an irish whip. But Tryon reverses, sending Stevenson into the ropes. When Stevenson returns, Tryon sets up a back body drop. But Stevenson stops, grabs Tryon, turns and gyrates her hips to the catcalls of men and women in the crowd before dropping him with a hangman’s neckbreaker.
Kris Cruise: Deadly Seduction! She makes the cover!

Stevenson picks up Tryon, wrenches his arm, drags him back over towards her corner and looks at Harter. The two “former” adversaries look at each other before Harter slaps her hand and tagging back in.
Kris Cruise: Well, that wasn't an awkward tag.
Harter gets in, positions himself behind Tryon and takes pleasure in nailing Tryon with a kidney shot. Tryon cringes in pain as he slowly drops down to his knees, then all fours. Harter then circles Tryon before nudging him against the side of the head. He then yells down at Tryon before delivering a stomp to the back of the head. After Tryon pushes himself back up on all fours, Harter delivers a kick to the ribs and knocks Tryon over onto his back.
Harter picks up Tryon and whips him into the ropes. When Tryon returns, Harter doubles him over with a boot to the midsection. He then hoists Tryon up for a flapjack powerbomb. But as soon as Tryon gets up on Harter’s shoulders, Tryon nails him with rapid punches to the head before countering with a hurricanrana. Tryon then rolls forward, dives over and tags Marx in.
Kris Cruise: Chris Tryon finally tags out to Jason Marx!
When Harter gets up and turns around, the crowd boos as Marx runs over and knocks him down with a running shoulder block. Harter gets back up. But Marx knocks him down with another running shoulder block. After Harter gets back to his feet, Marx takes Tryon and whips him into the ropes. When Harter returns, Marx goes for a back body drop. But Harter slips down from behind. He quickly sets up Marx for a German Suplex. But Marx blocks it after an elbow to the face. Marx then delivers three more elbows before making a standing switch and transitioning behind Harter. Marx then spins Harter around before knocking him down with a short-arm clothesline. As Marx stumbles back, Stevenson gets back up and runs into the ropes. When she comes back, Marx grabs her, runs and tosses her over the top rope…
… but Stevenson doesn't fall to the floor. She hangs onto the ropes. Stevenson is about to skin the cat. But she’s interrupted by Rother, who heads over and kicks her in the face, knocking her down to the floor. The crowd boos.
Kris Cruise: Rother again with interference!
Stephy Auger: First you complain because Rother is getting involved in matches. Then when he’s forced to be apart of the action, you’re still complaining! There’s no winning with people like you, Cruise.
As soon as Stevenson gets back to her feet, she motions over towards Rother. But Marx slides to the outside, grabs Stevenson by the hair and throws her down with a mat slam. Tryon then hops off the apron and joins Marx in stomping away on the World Champion.
Stephy Auger: Look at our World Champion! Instead of going after Marx or Tryon, she tried to go after the man that’s not even a trained wrestler. What did Rother ever do to her?
Kris Cruise: … are you kidding me right now? What HASN’T Rother done!?
The Usual Suspects pick up Stevenson and whip her into the guardrail. Marx then runs over to attack Stevenson, but Stevenson ducks and dumps him over the guardrail. But Marx doesn’t crash into the crowd. He lands safely on his feet. After he grabs Stevenson from behind, Tryon runs over to attack. The crowd boos as the Suspects deliver a superkick/German Suplex into the stands.
Stephy Auger: Go ahead and say it, Cruise. What a maneuverrrrrrr!
Marx moves members of the crowd out of the way until he finds Stevenson. He picks up the World Champion and whips her back over towards the guardrail. But instead of crashing into the guardrail, she hops onto it, rebounds back and knocks Marx down with a disaster kick.
Kris Cruise: Beautiful Nightmare from Stevenson!

Stevenson reaches back with her free leg and kicks Tryon off of her. But as soon as she gets up on the apron, Marx doubles her over with a shoulder thrust through the ropes. Marx then goes for a vertical suplex into the ring. But Stevenson slips down from behind and counters with a leaping reverse bulldog to an explosion of cheers.
Kris Cruise: Another great counter by the World Champion!
Stevenson gets up and heads into the ropes. When Stevenson returns, she goes for a rolling senton. But Marx gets his knees up, forcing Stevenson to crash across then. While Stevenson holds the small of her back, Marx crawls over and tags Tryon back in. While Stevenson slowly gets back to her feet, Tryon springboards to the top turnbuckle and stays crouched down. He then stands up when Stevenson turns around. Tryon points to her before going for a flying spinning heel kick. But Stevenson rolls out of the way, causing Tryon to crash onto the canvas. Rother holds the top of his head with both hands as he watches one of his clients crash and burn on the canvas.
Kris Cruise: Tryon missed! He could have potentially put this match away with that diving spinning heel kick. But Stevenson moved out of the way just in the nick of time!

Kris Cruise: What a counter by Harter!
Stephy Auger: No, no, no…
When Harter turns around, Harter pulls him back up to his feet. Marx then swats Harter’s off of him before nailing him with a throat thrust… and another throat thrust… and another… and another. Kris Cruise: Spine-rattling powerbomb right there from Marx!
Stevenson turns Marx around and fires off three punches to the face before turning and running into the ropes. When Stevenson returns, the crowd explodes with cheers when she plants Marx with a blockbuster DDT.
Kris Cruise: Head over Heels!
Stevenson steps out onto the apron, climbs up onto the top turnbuckle and crouches down. Once Marx slowly gets up and turns around, Stevenson stands up and goes to dive off to deliver Get Familiar. But Tryon pops up on the apron, shoves Stevenson off and sends her crashing to the floor. The crowd erupts with boos as Stevenson takes a hard fall to the floor.
Stephy Auger: Did you see how Stevenson just landed on the floor? I wouldn’t be at all shocked if she broke one of her fragile ankles again.
Kris Cruise: Oh stop!
Back in the ring, Karma grabs Marx from behind, spins him around and knocks him down with a wrist-lock transitioned into a short-arm bionic elbow.
Kris Cruise: Hard Times! Hard Times from Johnny Karma!
Tryon then springboards onto the top turnbuckle, leaps off and knocks Karma down with a flying spinning heel kick. The crowd boos as the Karmic Lion gets taken out. Rother can be seen on the apron arguing with a few fans in the front row. Unbeknownst to him, Tryon is slowly crawling over towards the corner.
Stephy Auger: Rother… Rother… ROTHER! Behind you!
Tryon rolls forward, dives over and slaps Rother across the back, tagging him in.
As soon as Tryon feels a hand slaps him on the back, his eyes widen in shock.
Kris Cruise: ...
Stephy Auger: ...
Rother slowly turns over and looks down at Tryon, who is slowly rolling out under the bottom rope and to the floor. When he looks back over into the ring, the crowd cheers as Karma grabs him by the neck with both hands and throws him into the ring.
Stephy Auger: Get out of there, Rother!
Rother tries to quickly scoot himself away from Karma. But Karma just shakes his head while he continues to stalk Rother. So Rother turns over on all fours and tries to quickly crawl out of the ring. But he stops dead in his tracks when he sees Cherry Baum directly in front of him on the outside. Cherry puts her hands on her hips as she shakes her head.
Kris Cruise: Rother’s got nowhere to run and no one to hide behind!
Karma latches onto the back of Rother’s neck, pulls up him and tosses him into the corner. After Karma turns him around, he unleashes a series of knife edge chops that echo throughout the arena. He then takes Rother and whips him into the opposite corner. Karma then runs across the ring and connects with an NYC Uppercut that sends Rother slumping down in the corner. After Karma steps back towards the center of the ring, the crowd cheers as he runs back into the corner before connecting with a rope-assisted corner dropkick.
Kris Cruise: Kodak Moment!
On the outside, Harter picks up Tryon and plants him with a reverse implant DDT on the floor. Back in the ring, Stevenson runs into the far ropes. When she comes back, she leaps over the top rope and knocks down Marx with a suicide plancha.
Kris Cruise: Both members of The Usual Suspects have been taken out!
Stephy Auger: Oh no… Oh no...
Back in the ring, Rother gets whipped into the ropes. When Rother comes back, the crowd cheers when Karma throws him down with a back body drop. While Rother arches his back in pain, Karma steps out onto the apron, scales to the top turnbuckle, leaps off and connects with a flying elbow drop.
Kris Cruise: From the Stars Above! Right to the heart, Stephy!
Stephy Auger: ...
Karma heads into the corner and waits for Rother to get up. Rother slowly gets up and clutches his chest while he appears to be in agony. As he slowly turns around,
*THWACK!!!*Kris Cruise: Check Your Chiclets!

“When The Levee Breaks” blasts over the PA as the crowd responds with an explosion of cheers.
J.A. Aldridge: Here are your winners, JOHNNY KARMA, CORDY STEVENSON and DOM HARTER!
The crowd continues to cheer while Karma gets his arm raised in victory.
Kris Cruise: It's over! It's over! Karma, Stevenson and Harter have gotten their long awaited revenge on the Usual Suspects.
Stephy Auger: Did they? Did they really, because all I saw was Johnny Karma beat up a manager! A manager!
Kris Cruise: After everything that Rother has helped orchestrate against him and after every vile comment he's made about both Cherry Baum and his late grandfather, you can bet that this is some sweet revenge for Karma! As well as Stevenson and Harter who have also had their issues with that rat Rother!
Stephy Auger: What did you just call him!?
Karma makes his way to the outside, where he's greeted by Cherry Baum. The two make their way up the aisle as Harter and Stevenson make their way back into the ring. Harter motions over towards the ref to lift his hand. The ref then scurries over and raises Harter's arm in the air to a surprising amount of cheers from the crowd. Harter's signature smirk is stuck on his face as he looks over to Stevenson and shouts "new leaf!". He then looks down at the FGA World Championship, then back up at her face before slowly exiting the ring.
The crowd gets even louder as the FGA World Championship gets her hand raised in victory. However, the lights go out as the arena goes dead silent shortly afterwards. You can hear muttering in the crowd while everyone is waiting to to see what's going on.
Stephy Auger: C'mon, Times Union Center! I know it's Christmas Eve. But at least let us get out of the building first!
Kris Cruise: I don't think was done by the operators of the building, Stephy...
The lights come right back on again now causing the audience to goes into a frenzy. Cordy is looking towards the rampway, but standing behind her is Zero McHannon with a cold dead stare and the FGA World Championship strapped firmly around his waist.
Kris Cruise: WHAT!? No, it can't be! It cna't be! That's!.... that's... that's...
Stephy Auger: I'll say it for you. THAT'S OUR REAL WORLD CHAMPION!
Just when Stevenson starts to turn around after hearing the crowd rocking the arena, she's rocked by McHannon with a hard sharp elbow to the back of her head. He hits her hard enough to cause Cordy to drop to one knee, but Zero scoops her up in a backwards grapple. McHannon looks out to the fans throwing hate his way and returns it by running his mouth right back at them, but the camera can't pick up what he's saying.
ZERO TOLERANCE!!!!Stephy Auger: God I've missed seeing that move live, Cruise!
Kris Cruise: ...
Cordy’s laid out on the canvas and her FGA World Championship flies from her hand. Zero steps over her body, saying some words while he does, then walks off towards the ropes and pulls a microphone out of his back pocket.
Zero McHannon: Merry fucking Christmas.
McHannon’s title flew off of him after he pulled in Cordy with the backwards grapple. He walks over and picks up the championship before seeing Cordy’s title out of the corner of his eye. Zero slings his championship over his shoulder and walks over to Stevenson’s piece of gold.
Kris Cruise: ...
Stephy Auger: ...
He picks up Cordy’s title and face turns to disgust before he spits on it, then throws it down to the mat. McHannon stomps his foot on the title before raising his into the air over her body.
Kris Cruise: I don't believe this...
Stephy Auger: Well you better believe it. The REAL World Champion just laid out Cordy and has raised his championship: the REAL World Championship!
The fans erupt into boos and jeers as McHannon just stares out at the bodies in the stands. He takes one final look down at Cordy before throwing his strap back over his shoulder, causing the logo to fade in.
