LADDER MATCH FOR THE FGA MID-ATLANTIC LEGACY CHAMPIONSHIP
(c) Salem Cartier vs. Annie Zellor
J.A. Aldridge: The following contest, scheduled for one fall, is for the FGA Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship!
The capacity crowd goes wild as we see a closeup shot of the FGA Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship belt hanging above the ring.
J.A. Aldridge: There are no pinfalls, submissions, disqualifications or countouts! The only way to win is to ascend to the top of the ladder remove the championship. The grappler that does this will be declared the champion!
"The Devil's Bleeding Crown" by Volbeat begins to play throughout the arena as Annie Zellor steps out from behind the curtain; the fans in attendance begin to boo as Zellor keeps her head down, bouncing from one foot to the other in time with the music. She raises her head, looking out across the crowd as she stands there with her feet apart, hands on her hips, before finally heading down the aisle.
J.A. Aldridge: Introducing first, from Staten Island, New York! Weighing in at 120 pounds… AAAAAAANNIEEEEEE ZEEEEEELLOOOOOOOR!!!
Some fans still reach out for the high five, and for those fans Annie obliges. But she tries to drown out the rest of them as they continue to jeer her from a distance. Zellor climbs up the ring steps and stops on the apron, taking another moment to look out across the crowd before she steps into the ring. There, Annie heads to her corner and rests back against the turnbuckles as she waits for this one to get started.
Kris Cruise: Annie Zellor benefitted from the plan to steal the Mid-Atlantic Legacy Championship from Salem Cartier. Now she’s got her rematch in the form of a ladder match. But you have to wonder how well Cartier’s knee is holding up. It was nearly two weeks ago when we saw The Crimson Baroness take an iron kettlebell to Cartier’s knee, which was conveniently the day after Cartier agreed to a Ladder Match.
Stephy Auger: What are you trying to say?
Kris Cruise: I’m trying to say that this has all been one well orchestrated plan on Zellor’s part from the very start.
Stephy Auger: But she sa-
Kris Cruise: At this point, it doesn’t really matter what she said. She can try and weasel her way out of taking blame. She can try and push the blame onto someone else. Zellor was well aware of everything that was going on this entire time.
"I'll get you my pretty... and your little dog too!"
"There's no place like home!"
The funky drum beat and riff of 'Phenomena' by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs fills the arena and the quirky yet energetic Salem Cartier appears at the entrance wearing a hooded dark purple leather tailcoat with huge silver buttons, the hood pulled over her eyes. She carries a silver cane, the top a silver claw gripping a dark purple crystal that has a plasma globe effect. She's tapping her foot and bopping her head to the beat...
She raises both hands and motions for the fans to get hyped, swinging the cane, then bops her way toward the ring in time with the song, popping her shoulders up and down, swaying her arms around with a coy smile and wink to the audience.
"Hey! Don't touch, kid; sleep with the lights on
Touch, kid; how you surprise me
Now roll kid, rock your body off!"
She steps up the ring steps, throws her hood back, clutches the top rope and puts her feet on the bottom rope, gazing around and rocking up and down on the ropes...
"You're something like a phenomena
Something like an astronoma'
Now roll kid, rock your body off!"
J.A. Aldridge: And her opponent, currently residing out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada! She is the reigning… defending… FGA Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion! She is “Something Like a Phenomena”... SAAAAAAAALEEEEEM CAAAAAAATIIIIIIEEEEERRRRRRR!!!
As soon as Salem slides into the ring, the bell sounds as she’s met with stomps to the back from Zellor. The crowd continues to boos as Zellor drops down to her knees and beats on Cartier with clubbing shots to the back of the neck.
Stephy Auger: Zellor’s wasting no time going right after the champion!
Zellor picks up Cartier, marches into the corner and slams her face-first into the top turnbuckle. She then turns Cartier around and delivers a series of five shoot kicks to the chest. Cartier then doubles over as she’s seen guarding her chest. But the former champion shows no compassion for the current champ. Zellor grabs Cartier by the hair with one hand, holds her up and then cracks her with a punch square to the face.
Stephy Auger: POW, RIGHT IN THE KISSER!
Just as Cartier tries to shake out the cobwebs, Zellor takes her by the wrist and whips her into the opposite corner. Zellor then charges across the ring. But she gets met with a forearm shiver to the face. After Zellor stumbles back, she charges back into the corner. This time, Cartier greets her with a back elbow to the face. After Zellor stumbles back, she runs right back into the corner. This time, Cartier ducks and dumps Zellor over the top rope…
… but Zellor lands safely on the apron. When Cartier turns around, Zellor doubles her over with a shoulder thrust through the ropes. She then takes Cartier and goes for a vertical suplex to the outside. But Cartier blocks the move. So Zellor tries to muscle up Cartier for a suplex but again, Cartier blocks the move. She then takes Zellor and counters with a vertical suplex back into the ring.
Kris Cruise: Cartier just saved herself there. Who knows how much a suplex to the outside would’ve taken out of her.
Cartier picks up Zellor and nails her with a right hand that sends her staggering over towards the ropes. Cartier marches across the ring, turns Zellor around and nails her with a right hand that sends her staggering into the nearest corner. After turning Zellor around, Cartier unleashes a series of knife edge chops that echo throughout the arena. She then takes Zellor and whips her into the opposite corner. Cartier then runs across the ring to attack. But Zellor returns the favor by ducking and dumping Cartier over the top rope and to the outside…
… but Cartier lands safely on her feet! She then quickly grabs Zellor by the ankle and jerks back, yanking Zellor down to the canvas. The crowd cheers as Zellor smacks her face hard on the canvas.
After Cartier pulls Zellor to the outside, she doubles the former champion over with a knee to the midsection. The two then switch positions on the outside before slamming Zellor face-first onto the apron. She then takes Zellor, marches over and slams her face-first onto the steel steps. Zellor then staggers over towards the guardrail before leaning on it.
Kris Cruise: Zellor looks to be out of it.
Cartier goes over and goes to turn Zellor around. When she does, Zellor snatches a cup of beer from a fan and tosses it in Cartier’s face. The crowd boos as Cartier covers her eyes.
Kris Cruise: Oh come on!
Stephy Auger: What!? It’s No DQ!
While Cartier staggers away from Zellor, Zellor takes advantage by running up from behind, leapfrogging over Cartier and driving her down with a one-handed bulldog on the floor.
While Cartier lays face-down on the floor, the crowd boos as Zellor lifts up the ring skirt before pulling out a ladder.
Stephy Auger: Here we go, Cruise!
Kris Cruise: We’re seeing the first ladder being brought out from underneath the ring. Will it be the first of many?
Zellor takes the ladder and leans it up against the ring before slowly lifting it up and shoving it inside the ring underneath the bottom rope. She then rolls herself back in before dragging the ladder into position.
Zellor looks over and sees that Cartier still hasn’t gotten up off the floor. So Zellor stands up the ladder before opening up the legs. Once Zellor stabilizes the ladder, she begins to climb it. But Zellor stops at the fifth step once she sees Cartier rolling herself back into the ring. So Zellor hops down, marches over towards Cartier and puts the boots to the champ as she tries to return to her feet. She then turns Cartier around and presses down on the back of her neck. The crowd boos as Zellor proceeds to choke Cartier across the middle rope. She then lifts her leg up, bends it at 90 degrees and presses her shin down across the back of Cartier’s neck while pulling back on the top rope. The crowd boos as Cartier flails her arms helpless. But she isn’t the only one helpless. So is the referee, who wants to enforce a five count. But ladder matches are no disqualification, so he’s forced to watch the blatant choke.
Kris Cruise: Zellor’s trying to choke the life out of Cartier right now.
After a good ten or twelve seconds, Zellor finally relents and lets go of the choke. A close up shot from the outside shows Cartier gasping for air. While the champion is down, Zellor moves the ladder slightly out of the way before running into the far ropes. When Zellor returns, she grabs a hold of the middle & top rope, swings through the ropes and goes for the Rough ‘n’ Tumble (tiger feint kick). But Cartier catches her legs.
Stephy Auger: Uh oh...
After returning to her feet, Cartier, hooks her arms around Zellor’s legs, takes a few steps back and then leans back, catapulting Zellor throat-first into the top rope. The crowd cheers as Zellor goes down and quickly clutches her throat with both hands.
Kris Cruise: Zellor tried to hit Cartier with an old finisher, but Cartier was well-prepared.
But Cartier isn’t done! She then grabs a hold of Zellor’s legs, holds them up and leans back, catapulting Zellor into the ladder. After Zellor smacks against the ladder, she bounces back and falls to the canvas while the ladder tips over and crashes. Cartier makes her way over to the ladder and folds it up before taking the ladder and leaning it against the corner. As Zellor gets up on all fours, Cartier marches over and delivers a stomp to the back of the right hand. Once Zellor clutching her hand and then looks up, Cartier blasts her with a Buzzsaw Kick to the head. She then reaches down, pulls Zellor back up by the hair and whips her hard into the corner. After Zellor crashes into the corner, she staggers back over towards Cartier, who takes her and whips her hard into the corner with the ladder. After Zellor’s back collides with the ladder, she staggers over towards Cartier, who throws her down with a big back body drop. The crowd cheers as Zellor arches her back while she howls in pain.
Kris Cruise: Zellor looks to be in rough shape, Stephy. The worse shape her back is in, harder it's going to be to climb that ladder.
Stephy Auger: The match isn’t over yet, Cruise.
Cartier picks up Zellor and delivers a shinbreaker into a leg-hook Saito Suplex. While Zellor is down, Cartier steps out onto the apron before climbing up to the top turnbuckle. From there, she hops onto the ladder and straddles it. Cartier then rides the ladder as it slowly leans over and crashes across Zellor’s midsection. While Zellor’s arms and midsection are trapped under the ladder, Cartier gets up and delivers a leg drop. The Witch returns to her feet and delivers another leg drop. Cartier gets back to her feet, hops up and delivers a jumping leg drop to Zellor.
Cartier takes the ladder, picks it up and opens up the legs. After stabilizing the ladder, Cartier places the ladder over Zellor’s downed body. She then heads over and begins to ascend up the ladder.
Kris Cruise: Cartier’s making the climb!
Cartier’s about halfway up the ladder when Zellor maneuver her way out from underneath the ladder. She then returns to her feet and pushes over the ladder. While the ladder falls and crashes against the ropes, Cartier hops off the ladder. But as soon as she lands on the canvas, her momentum sends her tumbling to the mat. As Cartier returns to her feet, Zellor runs over and connects with a step-up enzuigiri that sends Cartier flipping down to the canvas.
After dragging Cartier into position, the crowd boos as Zellor makes her way over, takes the ladder and carelessly knocks it over and watches as it falls and smacks Cartier across the face.
Stephy Auger: Did you hear horu hard that ladder hit Cartier in the face?
While Cartier covers up her face, Zellor presses down on the ladder to close up the legs. While Cartier is on all fours, Zellor goes over and kicks Cartier in the ribs, which knocks Cartier down flush against the canvas. While Cartier slowly pushes herself back up on all fours, Zellor shouts down at her before kicking her in the ribs again. As Cartier slowly pushes herself back on all fours, Zellor kicks her in the face.
Zellor reaches down, picks up Cartier and whips her into the corner. Zellor then runs over into the corner, hops onto Cartier and monkey flips her out of the corner. But instead of landing on her back, Cartier over rotates and smacks her face against the ladder.
Zellor heads out onto the apron and waves her up. When Cartier gets up on all fours, blood can be seen dripping down from her forehead.
Stephy Auger: She’s been busted open, Cruise!
Cartier finally returns to a vertical base. But she doesn’t stay there for long as Zellor drives her down with a springboard bulldog onto the ladder.
While Cartier is down, the crowd boos as Zellor picks up the ladder, opens up the leg and stabilizes the ladder. From there Zellor begins to climb the ladder.
Kris Cruise: Now it’s Zellor that’s trying to ascend up the ladder! Will she reclaim the championship?
Once Zellor is on the eight step, she looks down and sees Cartier stirring on the canvas. She then quickly returns to her feet and shoves over the ladder. As the ladder leans over and crashes onto the canvas, Zellor hops off the ladder and counters with a flying headscissors takeover. As soon as Cartier gets back up, Zellor runs over and delivers a wheelbarrow bulldog.
Stephy Auger: Cartier again gets driven face-first onto the canvas.
After Zellor returns to her feet, she motions towards the ladder, but then stops. She looks back at Cartier, then up at the ladder, then back down at Cartier. Zellor narrows her eyes before marching back over and putting the boots to Cartier.
Stephy Auger: She’s seeing again red, Cruise!
Zellor picks up Cartier, marches into the corner and slams her face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Cartier around, Zellor unleashes a flurry of right hands that send Cartier slumping down in the corner. While Cartier is in a seated position, Zellor takes several steps back towards the center of the ring. She then charges into the corner and hurls herself at Cartier for the Sparklebutt (running butt thump).
But Cartier rolls out of the way!
Kris Cruise: Zellor missed!
Zellor staggers away from the corner while holding her lower back before collapsing to her knees. While Zellor is still on her knees, the crowd cheers as Cartier comes up from behind, flips over and brings her down with a Somersault Cutter.
Kris Cruise: Cartier’s starting to come back!
Cartier takes the ladder, closes it shut and then leans it up against the corner. She then goes back over to Zellor, picks her up and doubles her over with a knee to the midsection. Cartier then drags Zellor over towards the corner before hurling her into the ladder with a double underhook suplex. The crowd cheers as Zellor bounces off the ladder before falling down to the mat.
Kris Cruise: Her back has got to be a wreck, Stephy.
Stephy Auger: How about you stop worrying about Zellor’s back and start worrying about the crimson mask that Cartier’s wearing.
While Zellor is holding the small of her back, Cartier takes the ladder and brings it back towards the center of the ring. After opening the ladder, the crowd cheers as Cartier begins to ascend up the ladder.
Kris Cruise: Once again, Cartier could be moments away from getting the championship back into her possession and retaining it.
Stephy Auger: Key word being “could.”
Cartier continues her climb up the ladder step by step. But unbeknownst to her, Zellor has rolls out onto the apron and pulled herself up using the ropes. Despite the pain she’s in, Zellor springboards onto the top rope, dives over and knocks Cartier off the ladder with a dropkick.
Stephy Auger: What a save by Zellor!
Zellor picks up Cartier and whips her into the corner. She then runs into the corner, connects with a discus clothesline and goes to follow up with a running bulldog. But Cartier shoves Zellor off of her and into the ropes. When Zellor returns, she plants Cartier with a satellite ddt.
Stephy Auger: All That Sparkles! Cartier’s out of it!
After Zellor finally returns to her feet, she takes Cartier, runs and tosses her through the ropes and to the floor. After Cartier lands on the floor, she tumbles over towards the ladder that’s set up in the aisle. Back in the ring, Zellor pulls herself back up to her feet and makes her way over towards the center of the ring. The former champ then grabs a hold of the ladder before dragging it into position and proceeds to climb it.
Stephy Auger: What the heck is she doing out there!?
Kris Cruise: It doesn’t look like she’s out of it at all. In fact, there’s plenty of fight left in The Witch.
Stephy Auger: ...
While Zellor continues to climb, Cartier pulls herself up using the ladder of the outside. She then closes the ladder sut before making her way towards the center of the ring.
Back in the ring, Zellor stops and narrows her eyes at the booing New York crowd.
Stephy Auger: She can't even get love in her home state, Cruise! But I wouldn’t expect anything less from New York trash!
Kris Cruise: We’re about three hours away from Staten Island.
Zellor switches her focus back to championship. But just then, Cartier shoves the ladder from the outside into the ring. After rolling herself back in, Cartier picks up the ladder and throws it in the air, catching Zellor right in the ribs.
Kris Cruise: That’ll stop her dead in her tracks!
Stephy Auger: Try not to sound so excited.
While Zellor is doubled over, Cartier takes the ladder and shoves into the side of the ladder that Zellor is currently on, creating a makeshift ramp.
Stephy Auger: What’s that Witch doing now?
Cartier runs into the ropes. When she returns, the crowd cheers as she runs up the ladder before knocking Zellor off the ladder with a lariat takedown.
Kris Cruise: Cartier just gave Zellor a taste of her own medicine by knocking her off the ladder.
Cartier pulls herself up using the first ladder. She then moves over and begins to climb the ladder.
Kris Cruise: And now she’s making that long climb again, Stephy.
Cartier continues to climb the ladder until Zellor grabs her right ankle. After an initial struggle, Cartier is able to shake her leg free before continuing her climb.
Kris Cruise: She’s just a few more rungs away!
Cartier continues to climb. But Zellor is right on her heels on the ladder. She reaches up and wraps her arms around the leg of the champion. Cartier then uses her free leg to repeatedly kick Zellor in the face until Zellor falls off the ladder and falls to the canvas.
Kris Cruise: Down goes Zellor!
Cartier continues to climb from the halfway point. She reaches up to grab the championship. But she’s not quite there. After looking down to check on Zellor, Cartier climbs up another two rungs on the ladder before reaching up. This time, the ladder is just out of her reach.
Stephy Auger: Ooooooooh, so close!
Cartier then steps up two more rungs on the ladder. Just as she’s about to grab a hold of the championship, Zellor does her best to drag the ladder away from the center of the ring. Cartier desperately tries to lean over to her right to grab the championship. But it’s now out of her reach. While Cartier continues to desperately reach out for the championship, Zellor climbs up onto the leaning ladder before climbing up the ladder that Cartier’s on. Cartier sees this, so she meets Zellor with a knife edge chop. Zellor responds with a punch. Cartier fires back with a forward palm strike. Zellor then answers back with another punch. Cartier fires back with two forward palm strikes. Zellor answers back with three punches. Cartier fires back with four palm strikes. Zellor goes to answer back, but Cartier blocks and counters with four more palm strikes. Zellor goes to answer back with another punch. But once again, Cartier blocks and counters with more palm strikes. While Zellor is dazed, Cartier steps up one more rung and reaches out to grab the ladder. But Zellor stops her with a rake to the eyes, which results in boos from the crowd. After Zellor steps up a rung, she reaches over and socks Cartier with a right hand. While Cartier is dazed, Zellor reaches over to grab the championship. But Cartier stops her with a punch. She then takes Zellor by the hair with both hands, slams her down face-first onto the top steps of the ladder and then hooks both arms.
Kris Cruise: Wait! Is she….? Is she about to…?
Stephy Auger: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no….
The crowd gets up and cheers as they sense what’s about to come next. Cartier looks around and nods her head before hurling Zellor off the ladder with a double underhook suplex. The crowd erupts with cheers as both grapplers crash violently across the canvas.
Kris Cruise: Good God, what a suplex!
Stephy Auger: Cartier just threw Zellor off the ladder with a double underhook suplex!
After about fifteen seconds, Cartier is the first to move as she begins to stir on the canvas, which results in cheers from the crowd. As Cartier slowly turns over towards the ropes, Zellor slowly rolls to the outside and falls to the floor.
Back in the ring, Cartier slowly pulls herself up using the ropes while Zellor pulls out another ladder from under the ring.
Kris Cruise: Zellor’s got another ladder!?
Zellor struggles to lift the ladder into position. Once she’s got it leaned up against the ring, she positions one end of the ladder underneath the bottom rope and the other end across the top of the guard rail.
As soon as Zellor goes to climb up onto the apron, Cartier meets her with a shoulder thrust through the ropes. She then takes Zellor, runs and slams her face-first across the ring post. Zellor bounces off the ring post before falling to the floor. Back in the ring, Cartier staggers towards the middle of the ring before dropping down onto her knees. Cartier then gets back up as she makes her way over into the corner.
Stephy Auger: What’s she setting up for? She’s so far away from Zellor.
The Witch turns and leans against the turnbuckles as she watches Zellor try to pull herself up using the guardrail on the outside. When Zellor turns around, Cartier charges from out of the corner, hurls herself over the top rope & ring post and knocks her down with a topé con hilo to the floor to an explosion of cheers.
Kris Cruise: The Witch takes it to the air and takes out Zellor with a huge dive to the floor! Unbelievable!
Cartier slowly rolls off of Zellor and begins to pull herself over towards the ring. After pulling herself up using the edge of the apron, Cartier slowly rolls herself back inside.
Cartier pulls herself up using the ladder. The champ then begins to scale up the ladder.
Kris Cruise: The champion could be moments away from retaining her championship!
As Cartier makes her way up the ladder, Zellor rolls back into the ring. After Zellor returns to her feet, she rushes over and shoves over the ladder. Cartier hangs onto the ladder as it tips. She then hops off the ladder. But she ends up catches her throat across the top rope and falls to the mat.
Stephy Auger: She got got caught, Cruise!
Zellor staggers over towards the corner. She then turns around and hoists herself up before waving up Cartier.
Kris Cruise: Zellor looks to be setting up something...
Once Cartier finally returns to a vertical base and turns around, the crowd boos when Zellor jumps off the apron and knocks her down with a diving knee strike from the middle ropes.
Zellor picks up Cartier, runs and tosses her through the ropes and onto the ladder.
Stephy Auger: She’s got the ring all to herself now...
Zellor looks over at the ladder in the ring, then over to Cartier on the outside. She then marches into the corner before scaling to the top turnbuckle.
Stephy Auger: No! What is she’s doing!?
Kris Cruise: It looks like she wants to make sure that Cartier is down and out before making that last climb up the ladder!
Zellor holds her arms up in the air before leaping off with a Shooting Star Press…
Kris Cruise: Stephy Auger: Ode to Smurf!
… but Cartier rolls off the ladder, causing Zellor to crash onto the ladder to an explosion of cheers.
Stephy Auger: NO!
Zellor smacks off the ladder before falling to the floor.
Kris Cruise: She missed! Zellor missed! And she looks hurt, Stephy!
While Zellor is sprawled out on the floor, Cartier pulls herself up using the edge of the apron. She then slowly rolls herself back into the ring.
Kris Cruise: Now Cartier’s got the ring all to herself!
Once Cartier gets back to her feet, she staggers over towards the ropes. After pulling the ladder from off the ropes, she drags it over towards the center of the ring. Cartier then looks up and sees where she is in relation to the championship belt hanging above the ring. After matching up the ladder with the belt, Cartier unfolds the ladder, stands it up and begins to climb it.
Kris Cruise: She making the climb, Stephy!
At the halfway point, Cartier looks down and sees Zellor still motionless on the outside. She then shifts her focus back to the championship as she scales the ladder.
Stephy Auger: C’mon, Zellor, get up! Get up!! Get up!!!
Rung by rung, Cartier makes her way up the ladder. Once she gets to the second to last rung, she reaches up to grabs the championship. But just then, the championship belt is raised just out of Cartier’s grasps.
Kris Cruise: What!?
Stephy Auger: It’s a Christmas miracle!
Cartier then stands up on the last rung. She reaches up to grabs the championship. But again, the title gets raised just out of her reach. The crowd begins to boo.
Kris Cruise: What the heck is going on!?
Stephy Auger: I don’t know, but I like it!
Cartier then puts one foot on the very top of the ladder as she tries to reach up and grab the championship.
Just then, The Crimson Baroness bolts down the aisle.
Kris Cruise: What the hell is she doing down here!?
Stephy Auger: Saving the day, that’s what!
After TCB slides into the ring, she smirks before shoving the ladder over. The crowd gasps as Cartier falls off the ladder, flips and crashes back-first onto the ladder on the outside. The violent crash ends up bending the ladder in half.
Kris Cruise: … GODDAMIT! Salem Cartier just bent that ladder in half! And she’s not moving, Stephy! She’s not moving! She’s not moving at all!
Stephy Auger: ...
While Cartier’s ,angled body lays on the bent ladder, TCB rolls to the outside, picks up Zellor and rolls her back into the ring.
The crowd erupts with boos as TCB can be seen repeatedly slapping the canvas as she tries to will on her tag team partner over in New Kingdom Puro.
Zellor slowly pushes herself up on all fours and tries to shake out the cobwebs. As she looks over, she sees TCB pointing up above her. Zellor looks around and sees no sign of Cartier. After realizing that the champion has been disposed off, Zellor gets back to her feet and staggers over towards the ladder.
Kris Cruise: No. NO! Not like this. Not like this!
Zellor takes the ladder and drags it into position before beginning to climb it.
A shot of TCB reveals her continuing to throw her arm in the air to will her partner. Zellor continues to scale up the latter despite the overwhelming boos from the crowd. The boos grow even louder once the championship belt is slowly being lowered back to where it initially was.
Kris Cruise: What the hell!?
As Zellor climbs up onto the third to last rung, she reaches up, unbuckles the championship and snatches it. The ref immediately calls for the bell to an eruption of boos.
“The Devil’s Bleeding Crown” blares throughout the arena as the crowd continues to boo.
Kris Cruise: ...
Stephy Auger: ...
The crowd continues to boos as Zellor straddles the top of the ladder before slowly holding the championship above her head. Dueling “F You, Annie” and “Baroness Sucks” begin to ring throughout the Times Union Center. Down on the floor, EMTs are making their way around ringside before they begin to check on Cartier.
After their assessment, the EMTs turn Cartier over onto her side on a count of three. They then slip a longboard and a c-spine underneath Cartier. On the count of three, they turn Cartier over onto the board and c-spine. After locking the cervical collar in place and strapping Cartier to the longboard, they lift her up on the count of three and transition her onto a stretcher. The Albany crowd stands up and applaud as the now former champion is being wheeled from ringside and to the back...
