The Little Glass Kitten...and the Crown...

Maritza Diaz has been found inside a local Muay Thai gym just outside of downtown Los Angeles. She is wearing black workout shorts, a white mid drift Raiders t-shirt with matching hat turned backwards. Working on her striking, The Power Princess is laying in shots to a heavy bag. The sound of her gloves and the bag colliding is her reward for the perfect balance of precision and power. Noticing the camera had arrived, she smiles and stops throwing blows.  

“Wow, it’s been a little while hasn’t it? I wanted to thank all of the fans for their well wishes as I recovered from my concussion. I’ve been better for a while now, but the higher ups wanted to keep me out of the ring a little longer as a precaution. But now that I’m cleared, I’m back and ready for the Red Carpet Rumble.


It’s going to be an historic night with the first ever 3GW Paramount Champion being crowned. But before that I have to handle some personal business in the form of one Ethan Thomas the Second. Escuchame burro…at Red Carpet Rumble I will finally get my hands on you. You deliberately tried to injure people trying to make a living in this business. You tried to hurt people close to me and this weekend I’m going to show you what happens when you try to hurt my friends.”

Diaz stops for a moment to remove her gloves. She tosses them to the side and grabs her towel. 

“You want to prove yourself as a striker? Good cause you looking at the most dangerous striker in the 3GW. You want to throw knees? By all means show me what you’ve got. You seem to like giving out the punishment. We are going to find out how much you can take hombrecito. You claim you are a lion, but all I see is a pussy...cat.”

The woman known as the Power Princess takes a seat on the apron of the practice ring. She looks around as if she is searching for the words for what she is about to say. 

“Later that night…later that night I have the opportunity to make history. I not only can win my first wrestling championship, but I would go down in history as the FIRST ever 3GW Paramount Champion! It’s an honor that can never be taken away. I mean in all honesty, just being involved in a match with so many other talented superstars is mind blowing. I mean Triple T…Emily Carter…Cyncity!!! Like not too long ago I was watching her on DVDs and now I have the opportunity to face her in the ring.


But regardless of that, regardless of the fact that I have friends like Echo, and Peaches, and Rab in this match as well. My focus is purely on outlasting 19 other men and women and becoming the champion.”

She pauses for a moment. 

“Believe me when I say I understand if there are doubters. I mean I’m still considered a rookie. My win/loss record is spotty, and there are certified experienced bad asses taking part in this Rumble. But I have succeeded in everything I have done in my life. Not because it was handed to me but because I worked for it. I fought for it. I don’t have to be an experienced wrestler…I’m an experienced fighter! And I know I have what it takes to be a great champion. Me winning the Paramount title will show those young fans that you can do anything. It will prove to them what I’ve said all along that hard work and determination will get you where you want to go. And I’m going to do all I can to win it for them. I’m going to win it for all my “Royals” that cheer for me, that sent me well wishes and letters and tweets when I was hurt, for my friends like Pedro Gonzalez who has been my biggest supporter in this transition into professional wrestling.”

Her voice starts to perk up. As if each word is encouraging her to speak the next one. 

“I’m ready to show the world and all the hate, and the negativity has no place in the 3GW. At the Red Carpet Rumble, it’s going to start with the cowardly kitten, and end with me being crowned the 3GW Paramount Champion! And once the 3GW become my kingdom everyone will finally understand what I mean when I say that I am without a doubt…STRONGER THAN YOU!!”

Maritza adjusts the hat on her head and blows a kiss to the camera as it fades to black.
