ENTRANCE & ATTIRE
Entrance Music:
None
Ring Attire:
Usually plain black or white trunks with matching boots, kick pads, knee pads and elbow pads
Ring Entrance:
The venue quiets down and soon buzzes with the fans' chatter amongst themselves before there's some action on top of the entrance ramp. Blake Rogers walks out with his hands on his hips. The crowd begins to mostly boo him as he looks around at them and walks down to the ring, cracking his knuckles and rolling his wrists a bit as he does so. He slides into the ring and walks over to his corner, where he beckons the referee over and makes them check his pads and boots for any hidden objects.
CHARACTER BACKGROUND
Pic Base:
Tony Nese (preferably from his TNA days or around there)
Gimmick:
Blake's kind of a throwback to an era long gone. Dubbing himself The Minimalist, he claims that he don't need bells, whistles or anything flashy to be successful. The only colors you'll see him wear in the ring are plain black or white and he's decided not to adopt any theme music to walk to the ring to. This kind of mentality is very present in his in ring style as well. Despite being a pretty gifted athlete, Blake relies on a ground based offense and very much enjoys to work over an opponent's specific body part during the course of a match. He hates flash and flair and in particular hates high fliers, feeling that they aren't wrestlers at all, but merely glorified acrobats. He also isn't too fond of hardcore or ultraviolent styled wrestlers as he feels that weapons have no place in the ring. Out of the ring, Blake's kind of preachy and can be somewhat annoying. This has led to him not really having too many friends or allies.
Strengths:
1. Working over a specific body part
2. His focus and determination during the course of a match to pick up the W
Weaknesses:
1. Any kind of match involving weapons. He's not fond of them, but he's also very open to getting his ass whipped by someone wielding one as he refuses to use them himself
2. Blake's athletic, sure, but he refuses to go high risk himself or really think outside of the box with his agility. That being said, in a match against a high flier or quicker opponent he may have some trouble as much of his offense relies on him actually catching his opponent. If he can't get his hands on his opponent, he can't work them over. Simple as that.
Bio:
Blake had a pretty standard and unremarkable childhood. He was a fan of wrestling since he was a kid and decided in college to train for the sport. That lead to him breaking into the indy scene around New York's capital area and eventually New England.
