“Have you guys noticed how there’s these words in our business that the boys and girls in the back use to try and … I don’t know, degrade their opponents?”
The voice of Cyncity is heard echoing over a black picture. No visual of Cindy herself, but the black starts to fade to show the scenery in the background.
“Words like bitter, words like jealous! Words like defensive, words like irrelevant! I’ve heard most of those things for the longest of tiiiiiiimes, and for the longest of tiiiiiiiiimes … I denied them.”
As the picture comes in, a sign reading “CynWHOOTY?” held by a chubbier gentlemen wearing a Johnny Karma t-shirt is focused on.
“I played it off like I wasn’t bitter towards anyone in FGA who was getting all the love and all the spotlight when I wrestled more matches in six months than they did in twelve. I acted like I wasn’t jealous that someone like Johnny Karma kept getting chance after chance when he blew every stinkin’ one of them while I was beating every fuzz-faced goober they put in my way!”
Victories over Dom Harter, Zero McHannon and Dan Herrera are highlighted.
“And defensive…”
The visuals cuts to Cyncity’s victory over Zero McHannon, then immediately switches to Zero’s “I let her win” speech.
“Whenever you stick up for yourself, you’re defensive. Being defensive isn’t something that’s even bad, but the dummies in this business try and make it seem like defensive equals weak. Defensive equals LOSER.”
A clip of Cyn shouting ‘I CAN BEAT YOU WHENEVER, WHEREVER’ in Zero’s face fills the picture.
“No, that’s not how it works. You have to be defensive in this business, because if you’re not? Everyone will walk all over you. They will spread rumors and try to ruin what was supposed to be one of the best nights of your life, and why? Because nobody … absolutely nobody in this business cares about YOU like YOU care about yourself.”
The video fades, coming back with Cyn’s bright blue eyes.
“I never wanted to believe that. I always wanted to believe that there was good in everyone’s heart, but boy was I freaking wrong! I learned the hard way that being passive and acting like everything is rainbows does NOTHING for you. I learned the hard way that catering to the stupid fans makes you feel better about yourself, but you know what?! IT DOES NOTHING FOR YOUR CAREER!”
The camera pans back to reveal a blank stare on Cyn’s face. She continues to speak, but the mouth on the visual doesn’t move.
“Everything I’ve accomplished in life was done by ME, not some stupid fan who stalks me in the airport and begs me for an autograph when I’m with my SON. It was done by ME.”
A tear slides down her cheek.
“... and I always, always wanted to give everyone else credit for my accomplishments. I always wanted to make everyone feel as happy as I thought I felt -- but the truth is? I was never happy at all. Not in FGA, not in PDW, not even in FTW waaaay back when. I figured that if I smiled to end every conversation and laughed at every stupid joke, maybe I’d actually be that happy person I pretended to be…”
Her eyes turn red, the blank expression turning into a scowl.
“And it never happened. I walked away because I didn’t want to pretend anymore. I came back because I want you all to know who the freak Cindy freakin’ Parker really is. A GODDESS AMONGST SHEEP. ONE OF THE TWO FEMALE G.O.A.T'S OF FGA, AND THE ONLY OTHER ONE IS MY BEST FRIEND! NONE OF YOU 3GW GOOBERS ARE ON OUR LEVEL, AND I’M GOING TO TAKEOVER 3GW LIKE CORDY TOOK OVER OUT EAST!”
The visual of Cyn closes her eyes, taking in a deep breath as she did so.
“Echo Rigby… I’m sure you’re wondering what this has to do with you, and I’m gonna tell yoooou! This is a warning. A warning for you to forget about everything you knew about Cyncity because everything you knew was a lie. I’m not coming to wrestle a five star match. I’m not coming to give these obese fans a show. I’m coming for two simple things…”
The eyes open, her jaw finally moving with the words.
“To make 3GW my own, and to hurt all of those who deserve to be hurt. Those that get cheered for no reason. Those that get praised for even less. Does this apply to you?”
The visual of Cyn steps forward, and tilts her head.
“No doubt about it.”
The visual goes black, a static taking over the screen as Cyn’s distorted voice is heard saying:
“Forget what you knew…”
