In a remote area somewhere in California was Mercy in a middle of a photoshoot. She was dressed in workout gear of long brightly pink coloured tights, matching workout bra and a teal hoodie. She was followed by a photographer who took shots of her doing various workout poses that enhanced her toned body. Even though the sky was overcast, Mercy still glowed with every shot that was taken of her.
The 3GW cameras were able to get a behind the scene look of Mercy’s big photoshoot opportunity. With the three G’s of Glamour, Glitz and Glory, Mercy certainly fit the bill of the Glamour part. After countless shots of Mercy’s various poses and outfit changes, Mercy finally finished her shoot. Mercy was still filmed when her demeanor changed. Mercy stared into space with an emotionless face. She was unbothered by the fact that 3GW cameras were still recording her.
After Mercy’s abrupt exit after the last Thursday Night Challenge, the audience was wondering what her motives were. Especially her relationship with Emily Carter, the person who she thought she made peace with.
Certainly a lot was going on in her mind as Mercy stood there in silence silent. Mercy came to when she acknowledged the camera with her eyes gazing into the lens.
“What’s the matter with me?” Mercy rhetorically asked with a scoff.
“At the last Thursday Night Challenge Emily and I actually won the match. But instead I got upset because Emily caused me to gut myself on the guardrail once again. I saw it as Emily was more concerned about getting the win rather than seeing what she did to me again. Clearly Miss Carter only cares about winning a match for herself in all her glory.”
Mercy emphasized with a pitchy voice of the last part of her sentence
“I could listen to her pleas how she’s innocent and such a nice person again, but whatever. I don’t want to hear about it. What’s the the point even since she was the catalyst of the win so…”
Mercy arched her eyebrows, undecided of her stance about Emily Carter. Emily did win the tag team match, making a win on Mercy’s side so it wasn’t worth getting too upset over it. Mercy wandered around a bit, swinging her arms and neck to loosen up a little bit. Mercy returned to the frame of the camera to continue speaking.
“This brings me to my next match. I'm up against someone who I've squared off in the past - Echo Rigby. She beat me in LDFC. Since then, Echo has become an adept performer with big wins over top wrestlers. Crazy how such a free spirit woman can manage to show so much fight. She sings like how she wrestles.”
A grin appeared on Mercy’s face. “Maybe I'm giving her too much credit on the singing part”
“One thing Echo is known for is being close friends with Emily. They share such a close bond.”
Mercy crossed her arms over her chest unimpressed with that fact. Not like Mercy was jealous of their friendship or anything.
“Then again, Echo has dealings of her own. I saw that little episode she had with Prince MacRear on her first ever talk show segment. By the looks of it, the the blonde boy who yells a lot made the free spirit exceptionally mad.”
Mercy tapped her chin contemplating that information. Could that crack be used for Mercy's advantage in her match against Echo? She would think so.
“Coming into this match, I need to take a different approach from the first time I stepped in the ring with her. I can't fall into my self deprecation trap. It’s been months since the time we first wrestled each other, things have changed since then. But there is one thing that struck a cord with me, I remember the first time I met Echo she stated that she wrestles prettier than me. Well I can say that I wrestle groovier than her.”
Mercy forced a sarcastic smile on her face with a slight tilt of her head. Mercy was waiting to use that line on Echo after so long.
Mercy’s face dropped back to her emotionless state. “Echo, during my sabbatical i needed to evaluate how I could better myself as a competitor. I can no longer be concerned how others perceive me, if people think I’m pretty or not. That’s their own projection of themselves on me. Echo, I’m getting in that ring to prove that I'm anything but pretty.”
“And this behind the scenes shoot is over. I would like my own time now, thank you.. Peace Out.”
Mercy made a peace sign and then waved her hand to usher the camera away as she forcefully moved out of the frame.
