ENTRANCE & ATTIRE
Entrance Music:
"Hurricane" by Thrice.
Ring Attire:
Maybe at some point, Erin will be convinced into buying something more... custom for her ring attire. For now, though, since she hasn't reached the point of feeling comfortable with the expenditure? She wrestles in simple black spandex shorts with a matching sports bra, her kneepads and boots the same color.

CHARACTER BACKGROUND
Pic Base:
AJ Cook as seen in Criminal Minds, from Season 10 onward.
Gimmick:
Strengths:
1. Durability - A rough-and-tumble childhood--and growing up with four brothers that loved to roughhouse-- has given Erin the ability to take a lickin' and keep on tickin', as the old Timex commercials say. She can endure a lot of punishment and, having gone through childbirth, her pain tolerance is considerably higher than the normal.
2. Motivation - Even though she's also doing it for herself, Erin is wrestling to prove to her son that dreams can be made real. She's not about to let him see her go down without a Hell of a fight, and she wants to succeed for him... so she'll gut her way through a lot to do it.
3. Strong For Her Size - Erin's got a classic case of farmer muscle. She may look lean, but considering how she throws around a ton of hay and shovels a lot of manure on a daily basis, she's got a lot of upper body strength. Even without momentum assisting her, a straight-up punch to the mush is gonna hurt... and it's gonna hurt a lot.
Weaknesses:
1. Size - This one is obvious.
2. Inexperience - Even if she's nearing thirty, Erin has only been training for a couple of years--and she's only had a grand slam total of eight matches ever since she went pro. She's still somewhat green and, while she might be wittier than certain stereotypes suggest... there's a lot that only experience can help with, and she doesn't have that to call upon.
3. Mat Game - This is by far her greatest weakness. She has very little ground game to speak of, so taking her to the mat is an easy way to get around most of Erin's offensive.
Bio:
The middle child of the Humes family on Old Route 198 in Blooming Valley-- and the only girl besides-- Erin grew up juggling the responsibilities of a student and of a farmer's daughter. Since her mother was a tomboy herself, the fact that Erin was spared precisely none of the harsher, more 'manly' tasks around the place wasn't much of a surprise... though she also had plenty to do with a woman's work as well. Above all else, though, she learned how to hold her own in any fights with her brothers fast--and in defending her honor against most of the boys that tried to pick on her in school. She made decent grades in high school up through her junior year when her first and only boyfriend, Silas Gordon, knocked her up after prom. Graduating was a struggle, but she managed it before settling into the role of mother and wife alongside of Silas, even starting up a new farm with him a couple miles down the road of her family's estate, for lack of a better word. Things were good--not rolling in dough good, but good enough to ride out the hard times and be able to rent a cabin for a week in the summer when things were better.
Of course, that all went to Hell the afternoon that Erin got a phone call saying that her husband had been killed when the tool and die machine he'd been on had malfunctioned and drawn him into it.
She got a settlement for his passing, but there's not much value put on the life of a simple laborer--and that money's only making do in the long term because of what the farm brings in to supplement it. Things are steady enough, though, for her to make a play at a dream that all the Humes kids had, but none of them ever pursued; professional wrestling. With the support of her family and with her son, Benson having christened her with a moniker she can't help but think is ridiculous, she's going to do her level best to make something happen... and to prove that it's never too late to chase a dream if you want it bad enough.
Her time in SCW was successful enough to make that dream seem like a reality. With the exception of a hard-fought bout against Tarja where she fell short of winning the Vegas Championship, as of yet? Erin was undefeated in Sin City's ring, most notably putting 'The Good Doctor' Amy Jo Smyth square on her ass after a rather intense war of words. With the advanced notice of SCW closing in October, she found herself having to scout other opportunities... and VOW seemed like solid enough ground for her to make her new start on. Unfortunately, such has not proven true--and so once again, Erin found herself on the move. This time, though, she's setting her sights higher.
...a lot higher, considering how FGA's a veritable murderer's row of talent.
Erin's a woman of great wit, but not necessarily of equal intelligence. The best example that I can think of is that she knows damn well that fire will burn her, but she's ignorant of the science behind it beyond on a basic level. She doesn't much care for people that have to 'pretty their words up to make a point', seeing them as snakes oil salesman/women with very few exceptions since most people that have to do that usually have a closet chock full of skeletons, in her experience. Simple and functional is the name of her game, really. Since she's got an impressionable young mind watching her on TV, she's big on the idea of giving him a good example to look at-- which means she'll bust her ass to make liars and cheaters especially look as silly and impotent as they ought to be. She's also, well... the best way to describe her approach to things is 'small town direct'. There's no time for waxing poetic or puffing up big, in her eyes. The fight's what matters, and by God-- she's gonna bring that fight to you whether or not you're ready for it.

Ring Entrance:
The overhead lights slowly go dark as the first strummed chords of 'Hurricane' fill the air, the crowd's cheers rising in response to the woman that is about to emerge. Gray lights flare into being around the curtain when the song starts proper, illuminating the outline of the Oncoming Storm as she stands with her shoulders square and her hands curled into fists at her sides. The wind machine is on behind her, blowing her hair around as her gaze moves over the assembled crowd and the surroundings alike... before it settles upon the ring. As 'Hurricane' cuts to the chorus, she makes her way down the aisle, not shying away from the hands that reach out for her.
It's gonna rain, it's gonna rain... 'til the levee breaks.
A tidal wave of fear and pain carries us away.
Another fight into the night until nothing else remains.
How do we find harbor from the hurricane?
Erin's focus never wavers, even as she grabs onto the ropes and hauls herself up onto the apron. Wiping her feet, she climbs into the ring between the top and middle ropes before she heads to her corner, turning to rest her back against the turnbuckles. Only then does she play a little to the crowd, a single fist thrusting itself skyward to earn more cheers as her music fades.
