Her first professional had not gone her way, and Dana had ripped her a new one about the fact that she had lost to an actor pretending to be a wrestler, but as she sat on her bed dividing her pay from her first match, she counted out her third of the rent, some for herself, and the rest she would send to her mom, Susan kind of dreaded going to training, she knew That Dana was going to run her harder than the rest of the students, but practice makes perfect right.
Dana was relentless as it came to Susan, Dana felt the Susan's loss was a reflection of her as a trainer, and therefore she ran Susan harder in training, after all the other students had left, Dana made Susan stay longer, Susan's early morning ran into a late night, and after the extra session, Dana gave Susan a ride back to the apartment building.
Susan walked with a slight limp as she made her way towards her apartment, she hurt like hell, but it was for her benefit, to make her better in the ring. She entered the apartment where Gina and Becky was surprisingly still up considering the late hour and having to get up for work in the morning.
Becky: Jesus, Susan, you look like you were hit by a bus.
Susan: All part of the training.
Gina: Sure it is, I think your trainer is a little hard on you, I should kick her ass.
Susan: I don’t know about that Gina, she’s also a professional bodyguard, so she’d probably whoop your butt, any I’m gonna take shower then turn in, so goodnight.
Becky: Goodnight.
After her shower Susan climbed into bed, and her body ached that was for sure, but she had no difficulty falling asleep. The next day was like the last one, training, Dana didn’t believe in days off, as great as that was, Susan wished she could have at least one day to herself, for as long as she has been in L.A. she’s hardly been out, except for that night at the movies.
After the usual ten hour session, all the other students left as Susan sat in the ring, Dana smiled at her, figuring that Susan was finally getting her message, and decided to cut her a break.
Dana: Get out of here, I’ll see you tomorrow.
Susan: Alright.
Susan grabbed her bag before Dana changed her mind. Susan took the bus back to the apartment. Gina and Becky and left a note saying that they were gone to the mall and would be back soon. Susan scanned the fridge and ate the rest of the Mac and Cheese and pizza, and a diet coke, she sat and watched some T.V and fell asleep and the couch, Becky and Gina returned, Gina laughed at pointed at the couch, as Susan was snoring, Becky and Gina went to their rooms, The next morning was the same routine as the last, work for Becky and Gina, training for Susan. After her training session Susan is sitting on the ring steps.
Susan: Hello again 3GW, now as you know my first match didn’t go my way, but heck it was my first professional match, so that was kind of expected, and now I have my second match coming up against Ethan Thompson.
Susan crossed her leg under her.
Susan: Sadly Ethan, it seem we have something in common, we have both lost our father’s, me at a much younger age than you. I’m sure you enjoyed all the times you had with your dad.
Susan got a little emotional about not having a dad to see her grow up.
Susan: Our paths cross at the next Thursday Night Challenge, Ethan, and I’ve been training really hard for this match, now I know you have way more experience than me, but I’m a fighter who isn’t going to back down, I look forward to the challenge that’s ahead of me, as it can only make me a better wrestler going forward.
Susan stands up and walks down the steps.
Susan: So I’ll be seeing you this Thursday, Ethan, good bye till then.
