Oh hi, babes! Emily Carter here and would you look at this? We're just a few short days away from the debut of Thursday Night Challenge here in Los Angeles! LA is like night and day from our old home in North Carolina. But if you think that we're in over our heads... if you think that we're going to be intimidated by the spotlight, then you've got another thing coming! Some might look at us as a couple of wet-behind-the-ears rookies. But the training wheels have been off of us long before LDFC dissolved. LDFC wasn't some hole in the wall. It was one of the best training schools around! When you look at the wrestlers that the school produced... when you look at what those LDFC alumni are doing elsewhere, then you'll know just how talented we all were. Well now we're bringing some of that hot talent out here to 3GW. And 8 of them will be on display in this 8-man tag!
You know, I've heard a lot of chatter about us being "disrespected" or how Scion and Adonis don't deserve to be in the main event. I respect the opinion and I understand where they're coming from. But me? I'm not going to concern myself about some match that I'm not even in. Let Scion and Adonis do whatever they want to each other in the main event. Me? My mind is on the seven other people in the ring. When it comes to this match, I'm not focused on "stealing the show." I'm not focused on proving what is or isn't the "real" main event. I'm focused on helping my team win.
And when I stop and take a look around, a girl couldn't have asked for three better teammates. This Thursday Night, I've got the honor of teaming with the merciless Mercy Williams, the always groovy Echo Rigby. And that Jensen Banks guy? He's not so bad, either.
Then there's me. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm something of a tag team specialist. I might not be tagging with my girls Annie and Molly, but I know I can rely on my experience with them to get the job done here. So this match is right up my alley. When I look at this squad, I see four friends. I see a well oiled machine. A cohesive unit! But when I look at the opposing team, what do I see? Vanity. Egos galore. With the big heads that MacRear, Keegan and Tillman have, it'll be a miracle if all three of you can fit in the ring at the same time.
But there's one exception and that's Shintaro Majima. The Strong Style Savior. The silent master amongst loud children. I respect your focus. You didn't let yourself be consumed by the pettiness that was prevalent at LDFC. You simply went about your business. You've got a mean streak in you, which we all saw when you teamed with Hana Song. But it was after you ditched her that you really began to rack up the wins. Well, I hope you still have her number saved so she can tell you first hand just how good I am.
Tillman, I'm amazed by your athleticism. You were an amazing wrestler. It seemed like there wasn't anything you couldn't do in that ring. Except beat Nest, of course. But we can't even say that anymore because at First Wave, you finally got a win over him. Congrats, T. It only took you half a dozen tries. But hey, it's not how many times you get knocked down. It's about how many times you get back up. So kudos to you. But at TNC, you're not facing Nest. You're facing the woman that's beaten him... and you. I hope you learned a thing or two from our last match. If you haven't, I'll be glad to remind you that for as good as you are, I'm just a smidge better.
Keegan, I find it funny how you blamed LDFC ending on me winning the APEX Title. Though you must've missed the part of the report where the deal to buyout LDFC had been in the works for weeks. Yeah, might want to try out that whole "reading" thing.
Then there's the gossiping hen of LDFC, Prince MacRear. It was like a week couldn't go by without you flapping your gums about me. But hey, it's cool. If I were petty and insecure, I'd be just like you. Good thing I don't have those problems. For months, all you've done is talk, talk, talk. Well now it's time to prove yourself. Are you finally gonna back up that big mouth of yours? Or will "the man that runs Hollywood" get beat in his own backyard?
