“Here’s to new beginnings,” Peaches raises a bottle of Corona to the skies before sipping on it, emitting a refreshed ahh as she looks out over the Raleigh sunset once more. “I ain’t gonna lie, though, I was bummed when Lions Den closed. I mean, it was right on my doorstep an’ I got to train under former FGA stars, with the hopes of one day getting the chance to compete.”
“So I could join the likes of Dan and Cordy,” Peaches sighs, “that was the dream. Maybe get the chance to punch one of them Usual Suspects or Rother in the face once or twice. But like the saying goes, when God closes a door, he opens a window. An’, boy, that’s one bright window lemme tell ya.”
“An’ it’s all Glitzy, and Glamoury–” she temporarily forgets the word ‘glamorous’, “–and it’s gonna be Glorious. An’ I know I ain’t the type of girl you’re expecting to see in 3GW – not with my small town mentality and backwoods charm. But I’ve been like a duck outta water before, ain’t gonna fuss me none this time either. ‘Cause this time, when I step foot in that 3GW ring, I’ve got a coupla things I ain’t have in LDFC…”
“I’ve got momentum,” she boasts.
“And I’ve had a taste of glory,” she picks up her 2CW Texas tag team title, which she and Dan recently won down in Texarkana. The belt is placed on her lap facing the camera; a wide, gleeful smile crosses Peaches’ face as she sips on her beer again. “An’ it tastes good, lemme tell ya. I ain’t gonna go round and pretend my time in LDFC was anywhere near decent; maybe I was overwhelmed, maybe I was outclassed. I dunno. I couldn’t tell you why I went 0-4 back then.”
“But I’ve got a new start,” Peaches states, “an’ I new dream. An’ it ain’t ‘bout making it to FGA this time. It ain’t ‘bout following in my boyfriend’s footsteps, or being more than a valet for the FGA and WLW Tag Team Champions. ‘Cause since LDFC closed, an’ since me an’ Dan went and got ourselves a coupla titles – I dunno – I’m just … more comfortable.”
“More confident,” Peaches muses aloud. “An’ I like it ‘bout as much as I like not having to be in class four or five times a week!” She winks at the camera. “Just kidding, I loved being at LDFC. An’ now I gotta be a 3GW wrestler, an’ forget about being developmental. Forget about trying to follow in footsteps, ‘cause now I’m forging my own path. An’ that path takes me to the city of angels, the west coast, and Los Angeles.”
“That path puts me in line for a match with Jaelynn Ramsey,” Peaches sips her beer again, “an’ I ain’t gonna lie, Jaelynn, I dunno all that much ‘bout you. An’ now I ain’t got the advantage of being able to watch you in the gym all day every day to try and learn ‘bout you, an’ the things you can do in that ring.”
“But that’s alright by me,” Peaches nods her head confidently, “it’s all ‘bout heading into the unknown right now. New challenges and new challengers; it’s ‘bout taking things in my stride and not letting little things slow me down. An’ right now I could give you the usual spiel ‘bout having a good match, and wanting to tear the house down. But we both know that goes without saying. This is the first match, on the first Thursday Night Challenge. An’ Ash and Adam may get the honour of closing this show, but those fans in the Center Stage Arena – the first taste of 3GW they’re gonna get is us. An’ you an’ I both know that means we can’t disappoint them.”
“We know we’ve gotta kick ass. An’ I know I’ve gotta start my 3GW career better than I left my LDFC career. I know I’ve gotta carry on my momentum, ‘cause one title just won’t cut it now! My boyfriend’s got three, an’ he ain’t lettin’ me forget it. So whether it’s the Fifteen Championship or the Paramount Championship, I don’t mind, but I’m setting my sights on gold here. An’ the fastest way I know to get there is to kick ass, an’ take names. So, Jaelynn, you’ve got a whole lotta Peaches coming your way on Thursday night”
