At the very end of his most recent promo, my opponent Adam Adonis challenged me to tell him something he hadn't heard before. I'll endeavor to do just that, but not before I issue a challenge of my own to him. That being, Adam, why don't you tell us all something about me that's actually factual? Because while you managed to throw a lot of shit at the wall last time around, I assure you that little to none of it stuck. A+ for effort though, which is likely the same mark you'll be getting after our match this week.
But you already know that, don't you? I mean, you came right out and admitted that you doubt very much that you can beat me, going so far as to say that beating me isn't even your goal. Well, aim for the target you can hit, I guess. I mean, you're right... I doubt you could beat me on your best day too... but I'll at least prepare like you could. You sound like you've given up on the prospect on even maybe having a sliver of a shot before the first bell's even rung. And that won't cut it, Adam. But this idea that you're going to show me what a 'real' wrestler looks like? Laughable. I'm standing here with a title belt over each shoulder, as I, in the last couple weeks, have become both the very first #FSociety Anarchy Champion and the very first Epic Online Wrestling Atlantic Champion. So, sorry, you're going to show me what, exactly?
Let me give you a hint, Adam. You want to know what a 'real' wrestler looks like? Well, for one thing, they win. Something you've already stated that we all know you won't be doing at 3GW's debut show.
And here's the thing, Adam... you can't have it both ways. I mean, one second I don't deserve to be in the first 3GW Main Event because I'm not connected enough to Lion's Den or FGA, but apparently I'm connected enough that the staff of 3GW, who I don't know and have only met via a phone call after the contracts were signed, are protecting me and making me their favorite. This idea that I have some circle of industry 'friends' shielding and guiding my career? Pure fiction. Nut I'll assume you already know that though, since you failed to provide so much of a scrap of evidence that it's true. If you're going to pull accusations out of your ass though, Adam, try to make them at least sound half-way credible, eh? For your own sake?
Like this idea that I've never had to work hard to get where I am? Fuck you. I've been doing nothing but work hard, harder than most, as both an individual and as a woman trying to promote and support women in a predominantly male sport. You want to talk about having it easy? Look between your legs, Adam. There's no greater sign of privilege in combat athletics then what you'll find hanging there, regardless of how hard you have to look for them.
Talk, talk, talk... no actual substance. I expected more of you, Adam.
Here's the truth. 3GW? It's a brand spanking new company, a promotion with no history. Don't believe me? You don't have to take my word for it, look at the promotion's own actions. Because all the butthurt Lion's Denners are right. If this was just a 'rebranding', then 3GW absolutely would have and should have put two of that organization's top stars in the 3GW Main Event. But they didn't. No, whomever is in charge here at 3GW decided to send a very clear message that this isn't just Lions Den 2.0, and they did it by putting the person LEAST affiliated with LDFC or FGA, one of the hardest working fighters in our sport, in the Main Event instead.
Message received. By me at least. I don't think it's sunk in for all the kids in the LDFC clubhouse yet though.
Here's the truth: 3GW owes you nothing. Not any of you, and not me. What this promotion did was put one of the hottest talents in the sport in their first Main Event... pretty good business sense, considering since they did, I've won two other singles championships in two other promotions. Seems like someone in the 3GW offices has a keen eye for talent and a good mind for the wrestling business. Anybody who still wants to complain about it? Show me the two championships you've won in the last couple weeks.
Yeah, that's what I thought. I say 'Put Up Or Shut Up', and as usual, the whole place goes silent.
