Inside what looks like an abandoned restaurant, is a wrestling ring, inside two wrestler, one male and one female are working out, as an older female looks, she seems unimpressed with the female, tendency to stop wrestling a show boat.
Woman: Susan, you have a match coming up very soon, now quit the fucking hot dogging and wrestle.
Susan: You're no fun Dana, Wrestling today is more about putting a show for the fans, the actually wrestling is secondary.
Dana: Secondary huh.
Dana steps into the ring, and tells the male wrestler to get out of the ring, then proceeds to beat the hell out of Susan, she didn’t really want to, but she felt it necessary in order to prepare Susan for her match.
Dana: Now start taking this seriously, or not only are you going to lose the match but your gonna get hurt, and if you're injured and can’t wrestle how are you going to help your mom.
That struck a chord with Susan and for the rest of the session it was strictly wrestling, until Dana called a finish to the session. The male wrestler left leaving Susan and Dana sitting on the ring apron.
Dana: I think you’re progressing very well, a few more sessions and you will definitely be ready for your match, so I’ll see you back here tomorrow bright and early.
Susan: Okay, I’ll see you tomorrow.
Susan packs her things in her bag and exits the building, and takes the bus back to the apartment building where she’s currently sharing an apartment with two other girls. Susan took a shower and ordered pizza, her roommates, Becky and Gina returned from another day of working at a high end women’s clothing store, and told Susan about a certain celebrity who had come into the store, Becky noted that Susan should cover the bruises on her arm, since they were going to the movies later, and bruises might raise some suspicion.
The three young ladies head to the mall and after getting through their movie, and some quick shopping and a bite to eat, they return to their apartment, Becky and Gina enter the apartment, two doors down a twenty something African American is fiddling for his keys while holding several shopping bags, Susan walks over to give him a hand, he opens the door and thanks Susan for the help, Susan smiles then walks back to her apartment.
Another day of training with Dana results in Susan getting a busted lip, from an errant elbow from her training partner, she shook it off and continued her training session, this time getting to test her finishing move her version of a pedigree, which she named Star Struck. Dana seemed impressed and called an end to the session, Susan again took the bus back to her apartment. Becky and Gina were sitting on the couch watching t.v. as Susan arrived.
Susan: Hey.
Gina: So how was training today.?
Susan: Good, added a few more bruises to my collection.
Becky: The guy two doors down gave me his number for you, someone’s made a new friend.
Susan: I don’t know about, I just helped him out the other day, we didn’t even speak to each other.
Gina: Well here’s your chance.
Becky gives Susan the guys number, Susan’s takes it then walks into her room. She returns to the living room where Gina and Becky are sitting watching a movie.
Susan: Whatcha watching.
Gina: The Grimdark
Becky: It really sucks though.
Susan sits down and watches for a little bit.
Susan: Hey that’s the guy I’m wrestling, the guy playing Freddy Grimm.
Gina: Really, Becker Gaines is a wrestler.
Becky: Must need money for coke and hookers.
Susan get up and walks back into her room. She sits on her bed and begins to record a promo.
Susan: So the time has come for my 3GW debut match, well my first professional match actually, and I face you Becker, you’ve had a few ups and downs in your life, my biggest down was losing my dad at age five. Now I’m sure you're wondering why you're facing me someone who hasn’t had a professional match yet, but I’ve been training hard, and despite being nervous to the point that I just might vomit before the match, I feel I’m ready for this match, my trainer thinks so too and I trust her. Becker I know you're probably looking past me, and if I were in your shoe’s I probably would too, but if you take take me lightly, you just may end up Star Struck, Good luck Becker, I’ll see you later.
