As the journalists settle down in their seats with their pens poised over their notepads, the first member of the 3GW roster walks onto the stage - and it's Shintaro Majima, who walks onto the stage wearing a short sleeve shirt and pair of slacks, and rather than play to the cameras in the room he walks directly towards the chair set up behind the desk and sits down, before he leans forward ever so slightly towards the microphone, and the expression on his face says he's not here for any nonsense
Spencer Burke: Good afternoon, Majima-san...
Hearing the use of Japanese honorifics from Burke draws a highly disapproving look from Majima, although he refrains from saying anything - mainly as the look alone says more than enough
Spencer Burke: ...can you tell me what brings you to 3GW?
Majima takes a moment to consider his words before he answers the question
Shintaro Majima: I am here because I have not finished what I began in Lions Den. As many of the names I am familiar with have also come here, then it makes perfect sense for me to complete the task.
Spencer Burke: You mentioned the influx of former Lions Den talent. Do you think they will help 3GW grow?
Shintaro Majima: I am sure they would not have signed if they did not think it was worth their signing.
Don Cheers: Was it difficult for you to relocate from South Carolina, where Lions Den was based, to Los Angeles?
Shintaro Majima: I have already moved from my own country to another, one where the language and culture are vastly different from what I was used to. For me the move is not as difficulty, as the greatest difficulty came when I first came here.
Trixie Barter: How are you enjoying Los Angeles so far?
Shintaro Majima: It does feel very different to South Carolina, not just the size of the city but also how people act and react - yet the air takes time to adapt to as it is so unclean.
Dave Alvarez: I have heard reports that you had difficulties with certain other members of the Lions Den locker room, so is there a worry that the bad blood will follow you to 3GW?
Shintaro Majima: Reports? What reports are these?
Dave Alvarez: Reports I have read online...
Shintaro Majima: Did you "read" these reports, or did you write them?
Rather than answer the question directly, Alvarez fumbles for an answer - allowing Majima to follow up
Shintaro Majima: I do not recall seeing you backstage at a single Lions Den show, so you would not know if there were arguments or if there were not. If you are going to publish lies, you should not think you can do so without those you are lying about wishing to set you straight. No, there was no "bad blood" involving me and whoever you claim I had disagreements with, because those disagreements did not happen.
A hush descends over the room for a moment as the journalists are unsure on how to continue - until one brave soul steps into the breach
Ashley Kruger: In your last Lions Den match you became the Number One Contender for the Old North Championship. Are you hoping to pick up where you left off and challenge for titles in 3GW?
Shintaro Majima: I am hoping that what I achieved in Lions Den will be remembered by those in 3GW whose job is to reward their most impressive talents.
Ashley Kruger: As you were slated to face Jensen banks for the Old North Championship, are you hoping to face him in 3GW? To pick up where you left off?
Shintaro Majima: It would certainly be the best way to continue from what I did in Lions Den. Jensen Banks can say that he never lost a title, meaning that there is going to be a question mark against the first champions in this company. To me, it would only be fair if there was a title match between Jensen Banks and myself, as this would give us the title match we were deprived of and also answer any lingering questions of what might have been.
Spencer Burke: Do you have any finals words?
Shintaro Majima: I am aware that I had a reputation for unfulfilled potential in Lions Den. With this fresh start, I aim to consign that reputation to the past and never speak of it again.

Post by Ethan Thompson II on Sept 2, 2016 19:40:35 GMT -5
Ten or so minutes after Majima leaves the podium, the second 3GW star to take his turn before the reporters arrives. Ethan Thompson II, dressed in a nice, dark suit, takes his seat, regarding the assembled group with a bit of skepticism. His facial expression is purest disdain as he begins to speak.
Ethan Thompson II: Ethan Thompson II. The pleasure is yours. Now, let's make this quick - and substantive questions only, please. As former employers of mine can tell you, I have no patience for idiocy.
The reporters exchange distrustful glances for several seconds, until finally, there's a taker.
Ashley Kruger: Hello, Ethan. Ashley Kruger, I'm a wrestling journalist --
Ethan Thompson II: I would hope so, if you're here. On with it.
Ashley Kruger: As you wish. You've been out of the sport for several months tending to personal business. Simply put - why 3GW? Why California?
Ethan Thompson II: The latter is simple. It is better than Portland, where I formerly plied my trade. As for the former, I promised my late father that I would establish the Thompson family name on these shores. To do what my father did in Oceania would be treading the same ground. The timing worked out perfectly - I appreciate signing my name on to something that I will help build. California is enjoyable thus far. Should this continue, I see no reason why this can't be a positive arrangement for all involved. Next question, please.
Jethro Johnson: Hello, Mr. Thompson. I'm from Illustrated Pro Wrestling. Your three best friends in the business are tearing it up in, shall we say, another company. Why aren't you joining them?
Ethan Thompson II: Ah yes, my colleagues. Mr. Hartling, Ms. Pike, and Mr. Peterson. They remain my colleagues, of course, but I a am independent gentleman. I enjoy striking out on my own. Perhaps one day soon, the four of us will unite again, but for now, Laila and I will focus on making 3GW...ours.
Trixie Barter: Is Laila that stunning, tattooed woman you were seen arriving to the press conference with?
Ethan fixes Trixie with a cold look, and finally just shakes his head.
Ethan Thompson II: Are you one of those paparazzi I hear so much about? I was answering that other...gentleman does not qualify for him, so I will call him "it." But yes, if you must know, that is Laila. She is my manager, my confidant, and, well, other things that I do not feel the need to discuss with you all at this time.
Thompson glances down at his watch, and clucks his tongue.
Ethan Thompson II: No more questions. Laila and I have dinner in a few minutes, so I'll make this nice and quick for you all. Give you all the soundbytes and words that you need so I may leave in peace.
He pauses for a moment, as if to give everyone the time to go get their writing implements ready.
Ethan Thompson II: I fear no one here. I will not be intimidated by reputations or parlor tricks. All it takes is liberal application of my forearm to the jaw of anyone here, and they will be rendered unconscious. Do not be fooled by this suit or the way I speak. Beneath all of it? I will do anything it takes to win. Anything. Honor is a virtue of the weak and vulnerable. The strong, such as myself, take whatever it is we desire. Victory and championships are what I desire, and thus, they shall be mine.
With no further ado, he spins on his heel, and is gone.

Post by Susan Kent on Sept 2, 2016 20:23:57 GMT -5
A nervous Susan Kent steps on the podium, she is not really accustomed to these kind of things, and she feels like she's going to throw up.
Ashley Kruger: So Ms Kent, why does a girl from Kansas what to enter wrestling.
Susan: Well, I want to earn money to help my mom.
Ashley Kruger: Oh is your mom sick.
Susan: No, nothing like that, my mom raised me as single parent, and now that I'm old enough to work, I want to help my mom with the bills and stuff.
Susan is sweating heavily and takes a drink of water.
Jethro "Iceman" Johnson: So why did you choose 3GW.?
Susan: Well my wrestling trainer was sending training videos of her students to various wrestling promotions, I guess 3GW like my videos so they offered me a contract.
Jethro "Iceman Johnson: Some is there anyone on the roster that your looking to face.
Susan: I'm just looking to make a name for myself, so I'll gladly wrestle anyone that 3GW wants me to face.
Spencer Burke: How much wrestling experience are you bringing to 3GW and FGA.
Susan: I haven't had an official match yet, just matches during training.
Spencer Burke: So no actual wrestling experience noted.
The next wrestler approaches the podium.
Ashley Kruger: So one final question, how do feel you match up with the rest of the 3GW roster.
Susan: I haven't the time to familiarize myself with the rest of the roster, but hopefully I can hang in the ring with them, and earn my keep.
Ashley Kruger: Thank-You Susan.
Susan smiles and waves then walks down from the podium.

"Okay, I gotta ask this question...what's with the wood?"
Trixie Barter chirps out her question to the annoyance of her fellow reporters and what’s left of their ear drums. However, Pedro Gonzales doesn’t seem to mind this at all.
"Oh. You mean this?" He pulls out a short sword that was, until a second ago, lodged between his belt and his pants. "I'm not sure how many of you guys will remember this but last time I did one of these press conferences, I ended up angering a bunch of my coworkers and getting into a swordfight..." Some laughter ripples from the reporters, partly out of remembrance and partly because that mental image is so damn funny. He smiles. "...so I'm better off just keeping it around just in case I'll need to use it today."
Dave Alvarez attempts to hides his Boston accent. Not like we can hear it anyway. "Does this mean you've made a lot of enemies on the roster already?"
"Not unless Señor Butcher signed up within the last minute or so. But I'd rather be safe than sor--" And suddenly, everything clicks in Gonzales’ mind. "Wait. You were the one that started that fight in the first place!"
All the eyes focus on Alvarez as ho holds his greasy hand up in surrender. "All I did was ask a question."
"You asked me 'do you honestly think that you can beat anybody on the panel?' with that snarky tone."
"I didn't know you were going to answer yes!"
Pedro shrugs. "As I recall, I ended up being right. Any more questions?"
Ashley Kruger smiles as she asks her question. "What exactly do you plan on doing in 3GW? What's your goal?"
"My goal is to be the very best at what I do. I want to give the fans their money's worth and well, let's be honest. I'd love to be some sort of champion again. If that happens, hopefully it wouldn't be retconned out of existence like last time…"
"Why do you bother?" The bellowing of Jethro "Rockstar" Johnson stops everyone in their tracks. "I've been watching you since the beginning, Pedro. You've always seemed to be on the bubble when it comes to being the next big thing. Or at the very least, a competent upper midcarder. You've been called the Spirit of the Pioneers and had some high caliber talent training you and yet buy the time you start finding your groove, everything just seems to fall apart. So why do you try? Why wrestle when you're better off in North Carolina or even back in Mexico shilling cheap ass slushees for little to no pay?"
This question forces silence to come over the room. A moment passes as the Mexican’s gears turn. It’s a question he’s often had to ask himself.
"I could answer these questions in many ways. One of them is that unlike many of my friends and acquaintances, I never--"
El sigh.
"Forgive the term, but I don't know how else to put this. I never pimped myself out for other promotions which means my exposure was limited. LDFC died, 3GW offered me a contract, I signed it. That's one answer. Another would be the nostalgia. The first patch of American soil I stepped on was in Anaheim, stained with blood. Not coming back would feel foolish.
But here's the truth. I absolutely refuse to let what I've been through for the past three years of my life end up completely and utterly meaningless. I know that most of the people in the back don't care and the higher ups don't care and you don't care. Yet a lot of people have put their time and energy and money into me. Which only tells me there's a reason for it.
I belong here. I belong in 3GW. I belong amongst the people of Frontier Grappling Arts. Let's not forget this is FGA's second brand, one that needs to be propped up and given the absolute best of all of us. I don't have the experience of Ash Scion, the skills of Ethan Thompson II, or the ego of Terrence Tillman. The only things I have right now is a strong heart and the hopes of many on my back. I will not fail them.
That's why I bother, Señor."
He turns and heads to the curtain...only to pause and walk back to the podium.
"And sí. I can still defeat anybody in time."
With that link to the past, the New Pride of Mexico gathers up his wooden sword and leaves.

Post by PowerPrincessMaritza on Sept 3, 2016 12:25:07 GMT -5
After a brief intermission the press conference begins once again. Maritza Diaz, better known as “The Power Princess”, arrives at the podium.
DON CHEERS: Maritza, first off welcome to the west coast.
MARITZA: Awww thank you papi.
Cheers blushes a bit but tries to keep his cool.
DON CHEERS: So you were one of many to take the deal after being in the LDFC. What was it that drew you to 3GW?
MARITZA: You know when we received word that the LDFC was ending I didn’t know what to do. I mean I had just really started in Lion’s Den, only a couple of matches and out of those matches only a couple of wins. My career was just getting started. This gave me a choice to strike out on my own in a sport that I’m still learning. Or come to 3GW where I have people like Peaches, and Pedro Gonzales, Echo, and former LDFC APEX champion Emily Carter, it was a no brainer. This is my new family.
ASHLEY KRUGER: You mentioned Pedro Gonzales and he just heard from him a moment ago. Rumor has it you two traveled here together. Is there anything “personal” going on with you two?
MARITZA: Ay dios mio! Pedro is my friend. We are very close…but we are friends. Yes we traveled together to keep each other company. And even if there was something more…if I told you it wouldn’t be “personal” any more now would it!?
TRIXIE BARTER: Maritza, your Muai Thai skills are on par with world champions. When you started in LDFC you didn’t use much of those skills, not that you are here in 3GW will we see more of them?
MARITZA: Absolutely! Initially I wanted just focus on learning wrestling so I stuck to what I was learning. But now I feel I can combine the two utilizing strikes as well as my strength. I think you are going to be surprised at what I can do in the ring.
SPENCER BURKE: With your physique and striking skills, you look to be a tough match for anyone on the roster. Is there anyone you have your eyes on facing? And do you have any immediate goals? MARITZA: The beautiful thing is that lots of the roster are people that I’ve trained with and respect. I don’t have enemies or rivals so anyone I face will be an honor. Now if someone should come along wanting to make things personal…so be it. The Power Princess backs down from nothing. As far as goals are concerned. I always have goals. I always have a plan. I want to get better. I want to grow with the sport. And I want to be a champion. I've been a champion at everything I've done from ballet, to fitness competitions, to Muai Thai tournaments. I am very competitive and I thrive on winning...So I think that's just what I'll do. That’s my time, thanks!
Maritza blows a kiss to the media and takes her leave from the podium.

The next member of the 3GW roster to walk out onto the stage is Rab McKinley. Accompanying Rab is his cousin and FGA alumnus, Natalie, and they barely reach the podium before Spencer Burke pipes up.
Spencer Burke: Natalie, have you signed with 3GW as well?
Natalie McKinley: Hi Spencer. No, I haven’t signed with 3GW, nor am I about to. Rab knows some of you struggle to understand him because of his accent, and so he asked me to be here, to make sure there’s no confusion about any of the answers he gives to your questions.
Natalie quickly glances in the direction of Rab, who nods his head to confirm this.
Spencer Burke: Okay, well, Rab, your last match in Lion’s Den was five weeks ago today, so I would like to ask, what have you been doing in the time since then?
Rab McKinley: Drinking, mostly.
Rab smiles wryly.
Rab McKinley: Nae, but serioosly, I’ve bin daein' a lot ay trainin'. It’s only a few months since Ah made mah debut in Lion’s Den, an' I’m still quite raw, sae I’ve used th' pest few weeks tae continue workin' oan sharpenin' mah skills. I’ve also added some new moves tae mah arsenal, which I’m lookin' forward tae gettin' tae use in an actual competitife match.
Natalie McKinley: Did you understand all of that, Spencer?
Spencer Burke: Yeah, I think so.
Spencer reads from his notepad.
Spencer Burke: He said he’s been doing a lot of training, that he’s been working on sharpening his skills, and that he’s added some new moves to his repertoire, which he’s looking forward to getting to use in an actual competitive match.
Rab turns to Natalie.
Rab McKinley: See, he understuid me fine.
Scoffing, Rabs recalls a suggestion that Natalie had made previously.
Rab McKinley: An' ye said Ah need elocution lessons.
Natalie McKinley: Hey, you’re the one that asked me to be here, remember?
Rab waves his hand dismissively.
Rab McKinley: Yeah, yeah.
He then returns his focus to the assembled reporters.
Rab McKinley: Alright, next question.
Ashley Kruger: Why did you choose to sign with 3GW?
Rab McKinley: Th' sam reason wa Ah joined Lion’s Den earlier in th' year: coz ay their connection tae FGA.
Rab rubs his chin.
Rab McKinley: FGA’s reputation speaks fur itself, sae when Ah decided tae try tae make it as a professional wrestler, Ah knew 'at Lion’s Den woods be th' best place fur me - like Ah said, coz ay their connection tae FGA. Then, ance Lion’s Den stopped stagin' shows, Ah heard straecht awa' 'at FGA woods be creatin' anither brand, an' again Ah knew 'at was whaur Ah wanted tae be - Ah ne'er thooght abit going elsewhaur. An' sae, haur Ah am noo, in 3GW.
Seeing the expression on Ashley’s face, Natalie can tell that she is having a harder time understanding Rab than Spencer did.
Natalie McKinley: He said he signed with 3GW because of their connection to FGA, which was also why he originally joined Lion’s Den, earlier this year, and that once Lion’s Den stopped staging shows, he heard straight away that FGA would be creating another brand, and so there was never any thought from him of going elsewhere.
Ashley smiles gratefully at Natalie.
Ashley Kruger: Thank you.
Natalie smiles back at her.
Natalie McKinley: You’re welcome.
Rab McKinley: Okay, who’s next?
Jethro "Rockstar" Johnson: You mentioned your time in Lion’s Den, and you are of course one of a number of former Lion’s Den trainees to have signed with 3GW; is there any of them that you wish hadn’t signed with 3GW - any of them that you would’ve liked to see the back of?
Rab shakes his head.
Rab McKinley: Nae. I’ve got naethin' bad tae say abit onie ay them - e'en th' ones loch Keegan Hightower an' Prince MacRear, who aren’t exactly popular wi' th' fans.
Jethro "Rockstar" Johnson: Well, is there anyone that was a trainee in Lion’s Den who you would’ve liked to see sign with 3GW, but who hasn’t done so?
Rab ponders the question for a moment, before replying.
Rab McKinley: If Ah hud tae pick jist one nam, Ah woods probably say either Miles Bishop ur Josh Mitchell - Ah woold’ve liked tae gie th' chance tae make up fur mah recent losses against them. Ne'er min' though - thaur ur plenty ay talented wrestlers haur in 3GW fur me tae test myself against in th' months tae come.
Natalie looks towards Rockstar.
Natalie McKinley: Did you understand all of that?
Jethro "Rockstar" Johnson: Yeah, I got it; thanks.
Rba whispers something to Natalie, who nods her head; he then turns his attention back to the reporters.
Rab McKinley: Reit, I’ll tak' one mair question, an' 'en mah coosin an' Ah will free up th' stage fur someain else.
Natalie McKinley: Who has the final question for Rab?
The two cousins wait to see who will speak up.
Trixie Barter: Are you happy to be here in Los Angeles?
Rab McKinley: Och aye - very happy. I’ve only bin in LA fur a short time sae far, but Ah awreddy loch it haur - nae offence tae Greensboro, but Ah hink I’m gonnae enjoy livin' in LA mair than Ah enjoyed livin' thaur. Noo I’m jist lookin' forward tae gettin' back in th' rin'.
Rab lets out a small sigh.
Rab McKinley: Okay, that’s aw frae me. Ah troost 'at Ah can expect tae see ye aw again later thes month, at th' first 3GW shaw - believe me, ye won’t want tae miss it.
And with that, Rab and Natalie move away from the podium, and make their way off the stage.

Post by El Grandé Malo on Sept 4, 2016 19:32:08 GMT -5
The assembled media staff continue to shuffle through their notes, a few already beginning their stories when the sounds of a scuffle draws their attention. All heads turn towards the curtain where it appears as though someone is fighting their way onto the stage, or rather fighting to NOT enter the stage. Finally, El Grandé Malo is thrust through the curtain. He stands there grinning sheepishly as Pedro Gonzalez backs through the curtain, his two hands planted firmly on the luchador’s back, giving him a final push towards the podium.
Malo crosses the stage and takes his place behind the microphone. He reaches up with one hand and, absentmindedly, smooths his mask while scanning the audience for a friendly face; instead he spots Spencer Burke, who looks like the cat that ate the canary.
Spencer Burke: Malo, I guess we should all welcome you to 3GW; it looks like you ‘re excited to join us today.
Malo watches as the rest of the group chuckles. He joins in, an awkward chuckle escaping from him as Burke shakes his head.
Spencer Burke: Seriously though, with the way things went for you in LDFC I’m surprised to see you here today.
Malo blinks a few times before leaning forward, his lips inches from the microphone.
EGM: Amigo, I is not hearing a question in there.
Burke snickers
Spencer Burke: Alright, the question is … amigo ... what makes you think that 3GW is going to go any differently than LDFC did?
EGM: It can't really go any worse ...
This gets a small giggle from the crowd
EGM: Seriously though, amigo, Malo … he is not getting the warmest of welcomings here in the TresGW. I is fairly sure that there was no ruffling feathers in LDFC. I mean, mi amigo, Pedro – he and Malo they are on their best behaviors all of the times. Especially when you think about all the peoples who is not being bueno weeks in and weeks out. The fans, though, they seem to love the mal chicos back in LDFC.
He shrugs his shoulders, at a loss for why this would be the case
EGM: I is not knowing exactly what it was about Malo that the peoples just could not get behind. I is getting the much warmer reaction from the peoples in Atlantic City where I is wrestling for …
There’s a sharp whistle and the crowd, as well as Malo, turn to look at the source, which appears to be standing behind the curtain. An arm suddenly splits the fabric and wags a finger in the direction of the podium, sending a clear message to Malo.
EGM: Where I is wrestling for another organizations.
He turns his head and the arm is now holding its thumb upwards, while slowly backing out of view once more
EGM: It seems like the peoples in New Jersey, the love Malo – they can not be getting enough of him; but South Carolina …
He sighs
EGM: So, I is looking forward to getting the fresh starts here in Los Angeles! Gracias for the question, señor.
Burke opens his mouth to say something back, but closes it and shakes his head thinking better of it. Instead, Ashley Kruger sits up a little straighter and waves.
Ashley Kruger: Hi, Malo
Malo smiles broadly, leaning his elbow on the podium and waving back at the young reporter
Ashley Kruger: What’s your game plan here in 3GW? With so many familiar faces as well as newcomers, where do you plan on starting?
Malo shakes his head with a small laugh
EGM: Señoritta, I is planning to start where I is leaving off in LDFC … the bottom!
Ashley laughs as Malo continues
EGM: Unlike some peoples, I is not looking for the shortcuts straight to the top. I has never asked for, or been given, the easy-peasy way to do things. From day uno, I has had to fight and claw my way to every victory. I is having to learn from every defeat – which means I did a lot of learning back in LDFC. Since I am joining LDFC I has grown very much as a competitor. I go from little, to now, exposure to a multi-time champion with muy high profile matches. I think I is ready for what TresGW has to offer, and for once I feel confident that Malo is having something to offer the company that gave him his start! I’ll see you all at the first event –

(As the Press Conference continues, El Grande Malo is up on the stage. From the back, Macy Dover opens the door and inconspicuously takes a seat on the back row a few seats away from one of the reporters that's shown up for the event. As Malo talks about starting from the bottom and not wanting to skip ahead like most people, Macy lets out a little scoff and shakes her head. As she does, Don Cheers of the LA Times looks over and sees her sitting a few feet away. He stares at her for a few seconds before Macy becomes agitated.)
Macy Dover: What? You got a staring problem pal?
(Don's eyes go wide and he shakes his head no a few times.)
Don Cheers: Me? No. I just wanted to be sure it was you before I said anything. You're Macy Dover from Shooting Star Wrestling Alliance, if I'm not mistaken.
Macy Dover: You're not.
(Don leans forward as if he's expecting her to say something else. She doesn't. On stage Malo is making his exit and the room begins to buzz as they wait for the next wrestler to make their way up onto the stage for their interview.)
Don Cheers: Well, it's kind of curious that you'd show up to this presser. Don't you think?
(Macy sighs and shakes her head while rolling her eyes.)
Macy Dover: Not at all actually.
Don Cheers: Care to elaborate?
Macy Dover: No. I mean come on man, what else would I be here for?
(Don looks genuinely confused.)
Don Cheers: That's why I'm asking you. I don't see your name on this roster list that was released for this presser here today.
Macy Dover: That's because I'm not fucking signed here yet...
(Macy leans in looking at Don's press pass.)
Macy Dover: DON. But you can never be too early to get a jump on understanding the mindset of your soon to be opponents, now can you... DON.
Don Cheers: So you ARE signing with 3GW then?
(Macy begins to slow clap for a second.)
Macy Dover: You're a real bright one Don. The jewel of Los Angeles journalism, I'm sure. All they need to do is announce it and I'll be here on September 22nd.
Don Cheers: Well that's a huge signing then. A former SSWA World Heavyweight champion coming to Los Angeles. Thanks for giving me the breaking story...
Macy Dover: I didn't give you shit. You should have deduced it the moment you saw me walk in. I had to walk you through breaking news that even TMZ would have figured out before you did. And yeah... it is a big fucking deal. You and soon everyone in this room will find that out. But I don't get the surprise. I'm from National City... this is pretty much a no brainer.
(Don pulls out his phone, and before Macy realizes it the camera's flash is going off in front of her face.)
Macy Dover: What the fuck Don?
(Macy rears back and slaps the phone out of his hand watching it fly out of his hands behind the last row of chairs shattering it's screen and going black once it hits the floor. The rest of the room that was chatting and waiting is now looking baCK at Macy sitting on the back row. They begin to clamor before Macy shoots a look over at Don. She gets up and walks towards the door.)
Macy Dover: You just wasted my time, Don Cheers. Now I'm spotted and will miss the rest of the presser. I'll remember this... Anyone crossing me in this city will incur my wrath. Just as you got a taste... write that in your breaking news...
(Macy then continues on as she slams the door open and walks out of the conference room.)

Post by Emily Carter on Sept 5, 2016 9:14:15 GMT -5
The next member of the 3GW roster to make their way up to the podium is Emily Carter. The former APEX Champion is all smiles as she waits to field questions from the reporters in attendance. Emily adjusts the mic as the first reporter is ready to speak.
Dave Alvalrez: Emily, how does it feel going from Greensboro, North Carolina to a city like Los Angeles, California? Is there going to be an adjustment period for you?
Emily Carter: No, not at all. I love it out here. The weather, the culture, the food. I actually went to college out here and stayed in California once I graduated. So no, the move is gonna be pretty easy.
Ashley Kruger: How do you see yourself going from LDFC, a company that mainly featured trainees, to a company like 3GW, where you'll be facing more establishing stars?
Emily Carter: I think I'll do pretty well for myself, honestly. LDFC was a place that did primarily focus on developing the stars of tomorrow. But we did have people who had years of experience as well. I also haven't strictly competed in LDFC. I've wrestled for HELL once. I've been over in the UK many times for SSWA, where I faced some of the best wrestlers in our sport. Overall, I did pretty well for myself. So I'm confident that I can hold my own against anyone here in 3GW.
Jethro "Rockstar" Johnson: Speaking of HELL, you and Prince MacRear both took a pretty nasty fall down there. How are you feeling?
Emily Carter: I'm feeling a lot better. No one was at fault. It was just an unfortunate accident. But sometimes, those things happen in wresling. I know that Prince MacRear wants me to hate him for one reason or another. But honestly, I'm glad he's okay... even though I'm sure he doesn't feel the same.
Spencer Burker: You and your fellow LDFC alum are out of the developmental system and are now apart of 3GW, which is apart of the FGA brand. While LDFC was linked to FGA, 3GW as a brand is going to be seen as on part withVertigo. Do you personally feel any pressure to succeed? And as a follow up, do you feel even more pressure to succeed now that you and your brother are on opposite brands?
Emily Carter: Well, I think we all want to succeed. As a wrestler, this is what you want, right? You wanna be on the big stage. You wanna go and wrestle to the best of your abilities while you're in the spotlight. I don't mean to speak for my fellow LDFC alum. But none of us are going to shrink under the spotlight. We want this. We want to make 3GW one of the best companies out there. Is there pressure? Sure. But we're not gonna run from it or anything.
As far your second question, I'm my own woman and at the end f that, I'm gonna be defined by what I do in the ring.
Don Cheers: You've had a lot of success thus far. Will you be able to keep the pace here in 3GW?
Emily Carter: That's the goal. Winning the Titans of Trios Titles with Annie and Molly... going to a Draw with someone as great as Danielle Vasquez... making it as far as I did in the UK Cup last year... going toe to toe with Ashley Sullivan... and beating all the people that I did in LDFC, it's done a lot for my confidence. Someones I have to pinch myself because it doesn't seem real yet. I've come a long, long way from when I started in June of last year. But I'm still not satisfied. I always wanna improve, you know. But yeah, I'm confident that I can keep up that same level of success here. It's not gonna be easy. But I wouldn't have it any other way.
Don Cheers: As a follow up, is there anyone in 3GW that you would like to face?
Emily Carter: Out of all the people that have been signed thus far, I would have to say Macy Dover. The two of us were in the same block of the UK Cup last year. She might have forgotten me but I definitely haven't forgotten her or the lost she gave me early on. But if the two of us were ever put in the same ring again, I guarantee you that she'll never forget the name of Emily Carter.
Scott "Iceman" Fandenburgh: Talk to us about your trainers down in LDFC.
Emily Carter: We had some of the best trainers in the world. People like Marcus Spikes, Dewey Dresden, Riley Owens, Candy Mitsuyoshi and Chris Bond. They helped develop us into the wrestlers, as well as the people, that we are today. This wouldn't be possible without them. I can't thank them enough.

NOAH MCKNIGHT takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly before stepping out from behind the curtain and walking up the steps to the podium. There is an audible hush as he steps closer to the podium and he can hear whispers attached to his name and comments about his size. Noah clears his throat as he adjust the microphone to his tall frame and straightens out his all black suit.
Noah MCKNIGHT: “Hello. I’m Noah McKnight.”
JETHRO “ROCKSTAR” JOHNSON from Illustrated Pro Wrestling is the first of the reporters to ask Noah a question.
Jethro JOHNSON: “Welcome to the big time, Noah. Welcome to FGA and 3GW! You’re a highly touted prospect from the Satinto Brothers Wrestling Academy here in Los Angeles. So why sign with 3GW who isn’t affiliated with the academy?”
Noah takes a couple moments to gather his thoughts. He is cool and calm like he was meant to be in front of the cameras.
Noah MCKNIGHT: “Honestly? Why not? FGA is one of the premier wrestling promotions in the world. It has some of the best talent, past, present, and future. When I learned that FGA had created the 3GW brand here in Los Angeles, it was a no-brainer to sign with them since I live not too far from here. Why travel cross-country when you have the best here in LA. Los Angeles is the city of champions. FGA and 3GW represent championship caliber talent. This is why I’m here. You’re looking at a future 3GW champion in Noah McKnight.”
Jethro is satisfied with Noah’s answer and looks down at his notes for a follow up question. He is beaten by TRIXIE BARTER from the Los Angeles Daily News. Jethro shoots a scowl at Trixie as she smiles at the handsome newcomer on the podium.
Trixie BARTER: “Hi Noah. Trixie Barter from the Daily News. You’re going to be a fan favorite here in 3GW simply for the fact that you’re the hometown kid. Like you mentioned, Los Angeles expects champions. How will you handle the pressure of your fans wanting to see you grab gold sooner than later?”
Noah rolls his tongue along the inside of his cheek as he contemplates an answer. Once he’s ready to answer he looks directly at Trixie.
Noah MCKNIGHT: “Thanks for the question, Trixie. Big fan of your work. I don’t crack under pressure. Being raised in the LA area, it’s high championship expectations are ingrained in you. Why do you think we’re all impatient to see the Lakers return to prominence? It’s expected that LA products produce the best. Which is why the Los Angeles Rams better work quickly and why I train each and every day to sharpen my skills and learn different styles so when our LA fans come to watch a 3GW show, they know Noah McKnight will deliver the best possible matches.”
DON CHEERS fires off his question before Noah is even done completing his last sentence.
Don CHEERS: “Let’s be honest here, Noah. The Santino Brothers Wrestling Academy hasn’t produced a champion in almost 25 years. Just mid-carders and curtain jerkers. Do you really think you have the training to go up against talent developed by FGA’s superior LDFC?”
A serious look comes over Noah as Don insults his wrestling school. The change in demeanor is actually quite intimidating.
Noah MCKNIGHT: “You’re an asshole, Don. You still can’t let it go that you got your ass handed to you by a Santino.”
The comment turns Don Cheers red as he realizes that Noah knows about his shady past with the Santino Brothers.
Don CHEERS: “You shut the hell up! We’re talking about you here!”
Noah smirks at he knows he’s ruffled the older reporter’s feathers.
Noah MCKNIGHT: “Aww… are you still sore about Giovanni Santino dropping you on your head with an Olympic Slam for hitting on his wife when you were supposedly conducting an interview? Yeah, I know about that. I also know you were in a neckbrace for months afterwards. So don’t try to undermine the training given at the wrestling academy. All of the Santino brothers are top-notch former champions and good people... unlike you. The only reason we haven’t seen a top champion out of the wrestling academy is because the majority of the students come with personal disadvantages and even addictions. Once the money starts flowing, they get hooked like a drug and end up making poor decisions. I’m different. I took every wrestling and personal lesson taught at the academy seriously and I kept my head out of the clouds. Believe me, Don, when I win a 3GW championship or any other championship, I’m coming back to the wrestling academy to give my respects to my origins… even if I have to Olympic Slam a reporter for him to write an honest piece. Capice?”
Don Cheers is silent as a corpse. ASHLEY KRUGER, the prettiest of the reporters, is next up. She gives Noah a flirty grin showing her perfect teeth. Noah isn’t sure if it’s just her way or if she was trying to butter him up so as not to receive the same treatment as Don Cheers.
Ashley KRUGER: “Ashley Kruger, wrestling journalist. Looking at the names that have been signed thus far, is there anyone that you want to face? Is there anyone that you don't want to face?”
Noah is very poised for this question and winks at Ashley just for kicks. She blushes slightly.
Noah MCKNIGHT: “I’ll answer your second question first, Ms. Kruger. I welcome all challenges. I have no doubt that I can stand toe-to-toe with anyone on the 3GW roster. I may be the ‘black sheep’ of 3GW because I’m not from LDFC or any other FGA affiliated brand but I see it as motivation to prove my value to this company. So is there someone I don’t want to face? No. As a matter of fact, I want the 3GW roster to underestimate my skills. But keep in mind, I am a 6-foot, 7-inch, 265-pound obstacle standing between them and their lofty goals. I may not be an FGA product, but I am 3GW now. Underestimate me and you will suffer greatly. Now is there someone I want to face? My short list is Keegan Hightower, Ethan Thompson II, and Ash Scion.”
Finally SPENCER BURKE from FGA Wrestling chimes in. He’s got a smug look on his face.
Spencer BURKE: “You seem very confident out here with the press, I’ll give you that. But I’ve seen more highly touted prospects crash and burn in all the FGA brands. FGA is a tough place to crack. You need to be on your A-game each and every night to survive, much less win championship gold. What makes Noah McKnight different?”
Noah nods as he acknowledges the company reporter’s question. He grips the podium tighter as he speaks directly to Spencer.
Noah MCKNIGHT: “As much as I don’t know about FGA, the reverse is also quite valid. FGA and the 3GW roster don’t know me. They don’t know what I bring inside the squared circle. So let me enlighten you all for a moment. I’m a nice guy. A good guy. A professional. I get along with just about anyone out here. But when I step into the arena to do what I was born to do, you won’t see this cool, calm, and collected Noah McKnight. Instead you will see a fierce, ruthless, and passionate Noah McKnight. My close friends say I’m a 6’7” 265-pound teddy bear outside the ring. But inside? I’m a 6’7” 265-pound KNIGHTMARE. I haven’t seen wrestlers kick out my KnightFall finisher or my KnightEnd submission, much less my BlackestKnight specialty yet. So if you want the Knightmare that is Noah McKnight, I challenge you to step into the ring with me and answer my one question to all: Are...You...Ready?”
There is an intimidating ferocity in Noah’s eyes in addition to a slight quiver of his lip. Noah then steps away from podium and walks back towards the curtain, glaring at the reporters.

Not long after Emily Carter left the podium, Echo Rigby walked up waving at her friend from the Lion's Den Days.
Spencer Burke: Please welcome at this time... 'The Peacemaker'... Echo Rigby!
Echo beamed a huge smile, wearing a yellow sundress, sandals, A floppy brown hat and round-rimmed John Lennon style sunglasses. She took off her glasses and threw up two peace signs for the crowd.
Echo Rigby: Hey dudes, groovy audience...great to be here, man.
Don Cheers: Miss Rigby, Don Cheers of the L.A. Times here. What brings you out to the West Coast and 3GW? This is a different beast than LDFC down in the Carolinas, wouldn't you say?
Echo Rigby: Well man, I got a sense of loyalty to all the dudes and dudettes from Lion's Den who helped train me. It's really where I got my start. I've learned so much in a short period of time. And I made a lot of new friends down there, it was a no-brainer when I heard about this transition and so many of the LDFC folk were headed this way. And honestly, being an Arizona girl I've always got the West Coast near and dear to my heart. I love the countryside down in Carolina, but I'm a heat and sand and mountain and beach type of gal, dude.
Scott "Iceman" Fandenburgh: Hey hey, it's Iceman from KTLA! So Echo, are you excited to be a part of 3GW and FGA as a whole?
Echo Rigby: Yeah man, these are great companies to be associated with. Top notch. I'm like so totally excited and stoked to be part of this brand new thing, man. It's Hollywood and it's glitz and glamour! This is a legit company, different than how Lion's Den while still groovy as hell it was a training facility. Now we're on our own, the training wheels are off, man!
Jethro "Rockstar" Johnson: Hey it's the Rockstar from Illustrated Pro Wrestling! Looking at the names that have been signed in 3GW, is there anyone in paticular that you want to face, or perhaps don't want to face?
Echo Rigby: First of all, great name dude! Rock on! But naw, man... there's not really anyone I don't want to face. I don't think that's a great attitude to have, knowing you can be booked against anyone at any time. I'd love to face some dudes that I never really got a chance to over in Lion's Den like Jensen Banks or maybe Prince MacRear. And somebody like Ash Scion, she's a respected name I've seen some of her work elsewhere, it's really groovy that she's here. Definitely something new.
Ashley Kruger: So what do you really hope to accomplish in this company?
Echo Rigby: Man I just want to keep getting bigger and better. I'd love to get to that point where somebody thinks of 3GW, and they think of me, ya know? Sort of like maybe a face of the company or something man. I want to headline shows and get after title belts. I'm sure everyone feels the same. Who's gonna be the first one to make their mark first in this place, ya know? I'd love to be right there!
