The cameras of Afterburn on the Axxess Network were live viewing the backstage breathe new life once Vertigo had gone off the air, down an adjacent corridor is where we find Ryan LeCavalier. Fresh off the heels of her victory of Rick Young, she’s already dressed to leave the arena as she seems a little happier than last week. She snapped a possible skid by taking out one of FGA’s newest comers after failing short to a former FGA World Champion.
Ryan LeCavalier: Winning isn’t everything. I might’ve beaten Rick Young tonight, but I know he could’ve just as easily done the same if given the right opportunity – and that’s saying something. I think Rick’s going to be just fine here in FGA. It’s just good to know that, despite losing to Dom last week I won pretty convincingly. It speaks volumes to what I’ve said since becoming a part of the roster. I won’t quit, whereas the best of Ryan Lecavalier is yet to come. As exciting as Vertigo was tonight I’m actually looking forward to Above and Beyond. Not only is there a lot going on that night in Anaheim, I’ve got a front row seat to all the festivities. The Frontier Lion’s Cup is considered one of the top tier tournaments in wrestling, that’s why I’ll be front and center watching what the competition on the top is actually like.
A small smile formed across Ryan’s lips denoting that she was excited for the Cup to go down in Anaheim, behind her two workers came into the shot as looked to be dismantling something in the background, there was a loud thud that Ryan looked back for just a second to investigate.
Ryan LeCavalier: I’m really looking at the bigger picture here. The landscape of FGA will change before our very eyes, not only is the landscape changing, that’s the perfect time to put the company on notice. In many ways this match was just enough to get my head on straight, but there’s one single most important thing that I can take away from both tonight and at Above and Beyond: opportunity comes to those who work the hardest. This isn’t me calling my shot, don’t worry. I earn my opportunities the old fashion way.
Her confidence turned her small smile into a full blown smirk at the mention of opportunities being earned.
Ryan LeCavalier: As I’m sure all of you have noticed – it’d be pretty hard not to – FGA’s one of the best companies around. Everybody’s gunning for something or someone, there’s excitement around every turn. I’ll do my best to hang in the ring with each and every person on this roster. If I haven’t proven that just after two matches…well, allow me to show you something unique within the next couple of episodes of Vertigo.
As she mentioned Vertigo her smirk faded into a determined glance at the camera, knowing how serious her previous statement was.
Ryan LeCavalier: Against me all it takes is one mistake – one move, one submission. It doesn’t matter if you’re a champion, a newcomer that’s on a massive streak or a former world champion. If you tap, that’s that. All this is about is seeing through a vision for professional wrestling, a vision wrestlers like myself and many of my cohorts believe is a dying breed. That’s why I invite all of you to cast your doubts now; that’s because, in the end it’ll only make it that much sweeter when I come out there Vertigo after Vertigo beating the very foundation of what makes FGA great. Because at some point or another, everything comes to an end. The same can be said about opportunity as one door closes another one opens. The door to beating Dom Harter closed might’ve closed for now, and that’s fine, but off in the distance a door just opened up that turns this little adventure into a quest. A quest for recognition and quite possibly a championship.
