Pride has just gone off the air and the backstage area is all a buzz. The equipment crew is setting up to go take down the ring, wrestlers and staff meeting up for after show meetings and preparing to leave. Jessie Pedersen is once again backstage getting all the reactions and thoughts from tonight’s show.  

In the distance Jessie spots Triple T and his brother Maurice Graham heading her way. She quickly heads over to them wanting to get word from them about the main event match against Jensen Banks. 

JESSIE: Gentlemen can I have a word with the two of you?


MAURICE GRAHAM: You know what? We are feeling generous tonight, what can we do for you?


JESSIE: Well I just wanted to get your comments on the match tonight. Maurice, you got involved quite a bit tonight and…


MAURICE GRAHAM: Ummm I’m sorry did you say I got involved? On the contrary, Banks involved me! He attacked me not once but twice. I never touched him, I never said anything to him, but he took it upon himself to put his hands on me. I’m not here in a wrestling capacity. It’s common knowledge that I sustained an injury and decided to stop wrestling and manage my brother. But that reckless fool you guys call a champion felt it necessary to dive out of the ring and take me out! I’m fine by the way thanks for asking! He’s lucky I don’t reinstate myself as a wrestler and beat his ass myself!


JESSIE: But you grabbed his leg and distracted him.


TRIPLE T: Jessie, Jessie, Jessie, you can’t seriously be feeding into this being Maurice’s fault right? Please tell me you are that simple minded.


JESSIE: I’m just saying that had your brother not tripped up Jensen…


TRIPLE T: Oh come on…You want to know why from day one I have been as successful as I have been? Because I have studied the entire game. I don’t just learn and practice flashy moves to make those knuckleheaded fans ohhh and ahhh. I learned the psychology, I learned how to think in the ring. My brother grabbed Jensen’s leg, that’s it. Nothing else. And what did Jensen do? He took his eyes off the ball. One ankle grab and he’s kicking ropes and yelling at the guy NOT in the match. It’s wrestling 101 “Don’t turn your back on your opponent.” He did, and I dumped him on his head. It’s things like that that separate the good from the great…and I’M GREAT!


And another thing…did he really “Have me where he wanted me?” Let’s look at the way things played out shall we? He was setting up for his move…telling everyone in the building it was coming. I was dazed…not suddenly deaf. My brother distracts him for what could only have been 5 seconds, and I was able to pull of not one but two high impact aerial moves and get the win. It only took me 5 seconds to recover and end the match…but I was on my way out? Come on man that’s the disrespect I’m talking about. Watch the match back Jessie. One of your beloved champs was out-wrestled and outsmarted tonight. Plain and simple. What he should be doing is taking this loss going back to the LDFC facility and asking the coaches to explain to him why being just flashy will only get him so far. If anything I just made him better…where is my “Thank You” Jessie?


MAURICE GRAHAM: Yeah Jessie…where is it?


JESSIE: Okay….well Pride we are going to have an epic main event. It was just announced that Nest and Emily Carter will face off for…


TRIPLE T: Jessie…am I in this match?


JESSIE: Well no but it’s…


TRIPLE T: If I’m not in the match…I don’t care…everyone wants to stick their heads in the sand and try to forget that Terry Tillman is THE premier, top tier, pound for pound best around!

Triple T turns to Maurice 

TRIPLE T: That was off the dome bro…I’m free-styling up in this bitch.

Turns back to Jessie 

TRIPLE T: While your champ is sitting in trees with 5 copies of Annie Dupree’s Playboy mag, I’m here at Pride…EVERY DAMN SHOW. And I’m beating everyone put in front of me. I’m the one grinding. I’m the one backstage watching everyone. We are a training, developmental organization…and I’m the only student here.


And as far as Emily Carter goes…this fairy tale ride she is on is just that…a fairy tale. And sure she did get a win over me. But you, me, my brother, the lady in catering, the yokels taking down the ring right now, Nest, his left hand holding the Playboy, the right hand holding his little acorn, that TRIPLE T tramp stamp you think no one knows about, Emily Carter, and her terrible dye job knows good and damn well that was a fluke and she could never…ever do it again.


Sooner or later there isn’t going to be a choice. Sooner or later the inevitable is going to come to fruition. You are looking at the man that is destined to be the LDFC APEX Champion.

With that the brothers head to the exit.
