Vs Hana Song

Oh hi, babes! Emily Carter here and I guess me becoming the new #1 contender for the APEX Championship isn’t sitting well with certain members of LDFC.
(Emily still hears whispers of her supposedly parlaying the sympathy vote into a title shot. At this point, she just rolls her eyes.)
You have the Bitter Baroness throwing her usual shade. You’ve got Prince MacRear with his latest batch of childish insults. I even hear that Terrence Tillman is in a foul mood. Negativity from those three? That doesn’t surprise me. But what did catch me off guard was when Nest, our APEX Champion, couldn’t be bothered to address me. Now I’m no big shot. Faaaaaaaar, far from it. I wasn’t expecting the big guy to bow to me or anything like that. But after I explained how big of an opportunity this was and how much respect I had for him, when it was his turn to take the mic and address the match, he simply left. It was almost as if me being in the same ring with him was an insult.
(She didn’t know what it was or what she did. But she was definitely picking up some negative vibes from Nest. Hmmm, definitely something to think about…)
… but I know one person that won’t be holding their tongue. And that person, of course, is The Black Adder. Or is that The Death Adder, now? Hana Song, I bet you’re just waiting to spew your venom at me, both figuratively and literally.
(Emily’s has heard first-hand from Annie Zellor just how effective Hana’s green mist is.)
Word going around is that you feel like you’ve been slighted “yet again”. From what I gather, you feel that you were wrongfully excluded from that contender's match. There’s probably a part of you that thinks that if that match was simply between you and Nest as opposed to you, Nest and MacRear, you’d be the new APEX Champion. It’s an interesting thought and if this were any other time, I’d see your point. But Hana, that’s the beautiful thing about those Three Way Dances. They aren’t first fall to a finish like a normal Triple Threat where anyone can win. That Three Way Dance was designed to have a decisive winner between you, MacRear and Nest. And unfortunately for you, you came up short in a championship match… again.
But just because you came up short doesn’t mean that I’m brushing you to the side. Overlooking someone like you wouldn’t be a wise at all. I’ve seen how you’ve responded since that loss. It’s made your outlook on things darker. It’s made you even more vicious. I saw the aggression that you took out on my friend Josh Mitchell two weeks ago.
(She recalls back to some of those shots that poor Josh took.)
It’s that same aggression that you’re looking to unleash on me. And that’s fine. But “looking to” and “succeeding at” are not the same, Hana. You’ll find that out the hard way on Pride.
I admire your ability to take advantage of most situations....
(A sly dig at Hana’s record in championship matches.)
I admire your skills inside the ring. Anyone that goes up against you knows that they should be cautious of your kicks. But “being cautious” and “being intimidated” are two totally different things.
Myself and Chris Bond haven’t always seen eye to eye. But if there’s one thing I’ve taken away from his speeches, it’s to never back down from any challenge.
So if you think you’re just going to step through those ropes and put fear into my heart, you’ve got another thing coming, lady!
Yeah, you’ve got some lethal kicks. But Riley Owens, Annie Zellor and Molly Reid have all taught me various kicks of their own. So I’m more than confidant that I can hold my own if you want to go blow for blow.
You can stare at me with those cold, black eyes. And you know what? I’ll stare right back at you.
You can show those fangs all you want. And you know what? I’ll stand right in front of you without flinching a muscle.
You can try to spew your venom at me all you want, Hana. But it’s going to be mighty hard for you to spit when you’ve been hit in the mouth and knocked you’re flat on your back.
