The First Kick

I hate Jensen Banks!  

Keegan Hightower slams his fist on the table that sat in front of him. Which causes his plate and his girlfriends plate move a little bit. Anita is startled by this as she places a piece of chicken in her mouth and starts to eat it. She stops and frowns. 

Why do you hate him?  

He is like a thorn in my side. He is just someone that I want to beat him and make him suffer. 

Oh it isn’t because he won a title before you? 

Wait what!? 

He looks at her and shakes his head. 

Where did that come from? 

I don’t know it was just a question you don’t need to get mad. 

I’m not just hurt by it. 

Sorry. 

She frowns and starts to eat her meal again. He toys with his food a little bit before he starts to eat it. He stops and shakes his head. 

Well I guess I shouldn’t be so mean or whatever to you Jensen. I guess I should sit here and eat some humble pie or well some humble chicken as it would be right now. When I first faced you a long time ago deep down I thought that I would have won a title before you. Alas I didn’t so congrats on winning the Old North Title but just know in due time I will want a shot against you. Now, I know what you will probably say, you will say that I have been a little bit lost in the past few weeks but with that I can tell you that you are wrong. I have just changed my focus. The Baroness and I want to rid LDFC of Brute Camp. They don’t deserve those tag team titles so I have kind of went on that tangent but still there has always been that thing that has bugged me and that is you. 

He smiles as he looks at Anita who is finishing up her food. She gets up and kisses him on the cheek.  

You are one of the people that maybe in a way I am jealous of. 

From the hallway we can hear Anita as she yells out. 

I KNEW IT!  

HEY! 

He shakes his head and frowns a little bit. 

See, you are good looking just like I am. You are smart like I am and you have a great kick like I do. But you have gold and that is something that I want. Although like I said I went on a different route than you. Still that doesn’t end my aspirations at singles gold. That is why I am looking at you right now. 

If I beat you in this match that vaults me into the discussion of a title match. A lot is riding on this match for me and in a way there is a lot riding on this match for you. You have to prove that beating Skylar Cloud wasn’t a fluke. You need to show that you are pretty damn good and that you are going to be as good of a champion as she was and that is a lot to live up to. Now if you start losing people will start talking in the back of how the hell did he beat her and all of that jazz. You have to be just as good or even better than you were that night here on out. Can you do that? If you have one slip up people are going to eat you alive and to be honest I want to be the one to cause you that one little slip up. I would be happy for that and hey I would be talked about wouldn’t I? 

Also this match is going to come down to one thing and that is who’ll be able to get their kick off first. You are going to talk about how you want to take me to Bank Shot City and all of that but I have to ask you. How are you going to be taking me there when your head is going to be taken clean off? See, I will take it off and I will watch it roll around that ring and then I will pick it up and hold it high. Oh, you can question me and be like you won’t do that, but I promise you that I will and when I promise something it usually happens. 

He winks as he gets up and takes his plate to the sink as the scene fades.
