“Triple T said I would hobble my broken ass in a halter top and a mini skirt at the next Pride. And let’s just say…..” Mercy stated with the camera zooming out to show Mercy in a crop patterned crop halter top with a string woven middle with light denim shorts. “He was a quarter right.”
“I actually don’t own a lot of mini skirts, surprisingly so - but you know, that’s besides my point. Despite my loss At All Costs, I will assuredly walk with my pride still in tack… with pun intended.”
Mercy winked into the camera at her little play on the word pride, since LDFC show is called pride. Mercy continued, clapping her hands together, pressing her hands to her chest.
“I’m proud that Tillman was able to find his mojo again, now getting himself a number one contenders match for the APEX Championship against the returning Emily Carter. And if you want to know, I’m on Team Emily on this one.
Mercy then rested her hands on her hips, leaning her hips towards the left side. “No hard feelings T, but this is Emily’s big comeback story. Everything she’s endured and suffered to make her grand return, I believe Emily has that fire lit inside of her. Tillman, you’ve already had a few title shots and lost sooooo…. I guess another girl will steamroll through and get that big shot from Tillman.”
Mercy mocked Tillman, knowingly that would dig under his skin. She couldn’t help herself since he was on his high-horse after his victory over her. Mercy’s demure change as she took a big exhale and groaned with her arms manifesting to her sides. “But, what should I know? I lost my match At All Costs and I need to redeem myself in a match. In my match I’m facing one of the brightest rookies around here, Echo Rigby.”
“She’s peace lovin’, flower child, hippy chic’. She writes and sings original songs. She is someone everyone would love, because how can anyone hate someone who wants to bring peace to everyone? But then again, no matter what… Someone else will nitpick the most smallest thing to create that hate. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve followed Rigby and she definitely brings something to the table in LDFC. She has delivered some hard fought matches so far in her short career in LDFC. She could possibly skyrocket to greater heights in LDFC and become the poster child around here.”
“But where does that leave me?” Mercy paused to ponder her own career in LDFC.
“I had my fair share of losses and wins in my LDFC career. I may have not won many big marquee matches but I still manage to pick myself up from every obstacle I come across. Yet, people enjoy downplaying me, saying I shouldn't be in the ring, that I’m all looks and boobs. I don’t know, it just feels like I’m a broken record explaining that I’m more than my looks.”
“But what did I really expect? Really?” Mercy sighed, running her fingers through her light brown wavy hair.
“I could plead my case until I turn blue in the face but I know my little voice can’t change centuries of misogyny. C’est la vie - shit happens. As long as I can stand on my two feet and continue my journey as a wrestler in LDFC, that’s the only thing that matters to me. At Pride, I will walk in and wrestle Echo Rigby, putting the fightingest -fight. Echo, you believe you wrestle ‘prettier’ than me, but girl, you will have another thing coming. I’ve seen many people come and go around here and it’s really up to you to show that you have that drive to endure everything that comes your way. I know for a fact that wrestling is no song and dance…”
Mercy raised an eyebrow at the camera. “This will be my redemption. Have Mercy...”
Mercy softly smiled into the camera, flipping her long hair towards her back and then taking her exit from the frame of the camera.
