Hey, hey, hey! =)
You might all be wondering why I'm so upbeat after suffering a loss in a match that I said meant so much to me, and the momentum I'd built for myself with a strong showing in the Gold Rush Rumble! Well there's a few reasons for that!
First off, I can never be upset with myself for doing the right thing, which is exactly what I did when I ran out to save Nero Darling to the cheers of the fans. Because I don't do what's right for adoration, or for the praise of the people, I do it because I can sleep easy at night knowing that I not only do the right thing, but for the right reaons. And that's something that'll put a smile on a face in a hurry. Secondly, because of that, I've got another chance at Izzy Anders, where I can set things right, and that's definitely something to be pumped up and jacked for. But maybe most of all, because I have absolutely confidence in myself! I don't say that with any disrespect to anyone else, but I know the work I put in, I know what I'm capable of and because of that I know great things are ahead for me. So, I can't feel down about what's happened in the past when there are so many great things coming in the future!
In the immediate future, it's me and Nero Darling against Izzy Anders and Yun Goeun. Definitely a formidable pair of opponents, I mean I've said a lot about Izzy already and I've seen what she's all about firsthand now. And as for Yun? Well, I know some people might think of her as "the Korean girl who loses all the time" but not me. I know that on paper, if you're putting together a tag team match? There's not going to be many better choices for a partner than her. Just look at what she was able to do in the PDW tag division, and that was with Amy Ngonnatrytospell that as her partner! And maybe even more impressive here, she's been getting by having to team with Cami! I can only think of what it'd be like with an accomplished partner on her side like she's got here.
Like, let's look at it this way! Sure she might be out of dynamic duos already, but she went to a draw with Envi and Evans, two big stars in this business with a tag partner who hasn't exactly been ... successful. That's like a moral victory, you know what I mean? But of course that's all on paper.
In reality, we know Yun's head isn't really in this anymore. She's collecting paychecks, whether she wins or loses. There's no passion behind what she does, it's all very cynical. Which I admit could make her more dangerous, having nothing to lose! But, that is suuuch a contrast with Izzy Anders' obsessions that I think I talked about last time. Look at last show, it wasn't enough of a statement to have beaten me, that wasn't enough for her. She had to attack people after a match. And I get it, they were fighting for the shot at the title which Izzy had. But she didn't just go after Molly Reid, she was going to try and break Nero's arm there. When really, Nero wasn't the one getting the title shots, there was no reason for Izzy to kick her when she was down besides the fact that she couldn't stop herself.
Just like she's not going to be able to help what happens when she tries to co-exist with a partner who is in such a different place from her, against a team looking for redemption. I'm coming at them hard, and we already saw what Nero did to Danny Diamond after he messed with her. This is going to be a big night for me and Nero, just watch! =)
Fin.
