Troy Dawes is sitting at his desk smirking as Zorro del Castillo and Team Nox's newest member, Asa Constant, stand on both sides of him. Zorro's arms are folded as he frowns into the camera. Asa, on the other hand, is beaming with both hands on his hips. Troy addresses the camera.
Troy Dawes: Welcome, friends, to a journey that can only be described as destined. Destined because you cannot move forward without facing the past. This week Team Nox does just that when we take on the team of Cordy Stevenson and Dan Herrera, collectively known as Status Quo.
Zorro del Castillo: *Humph* A fitting name for two people that won't be going anywhere past the first round.
Troy's brow furrows.
Troy Dawes: Yes. I was getting to that. This week, Team Nox faces Status Quo in the first round of the Dynamic Duos tournament. And what a dynamic duo they are. Cordy Stevenson and Dan Herrera, the two of you have had storied careers separately. In fact, your stories have intertwined on numerous occasions. It was you, Dan, that Cordy ousted from the ring last in order to win the Gold Rush Rumble. And let's not forget the parallels in your careers that both of you had the opportunity to win the FGA World Championship at All-Star Showdown III and IV.
Asa Constant: How unlucky.
Zorro glares at the newcomer. Asa simply smiles at him causing Zorro to grunt in disgust. Troy continues, oblivious to what is happening behind him.
Troy Dawes: Quite. I'd even go so far as to say that All-Star Showdown is just not their show. How unfortunate that they won't even make it to the show to redeem themselves.
Zorro Del Castillo: Fortune favors the prepared, no? Stevenson made such a commotion about returning for the Gold Rush Rumble, but she was too hurt to compete. And now, only two weeks later, we are to believe that she is in competitive form?
Asa Constant: Maybe it's her will to be the best that'll help her make it back for our match. It would be such a disappointment to not be able to face someone like her. Someone that's willing to leave it all in the ring, no matter how bruised or broken she may be.
Asa licks his lips at the thought.
Asa Constant: So much pain she must be in. I can only imagine how she feels.
Zorro del Castillo: It does not matter how she feels. If she comes to the ring, she will come knowing that I am only going to make her condition worse.
Troy holds up a hand causing Asa to stop talking, but Zorro spits on the Troys floor. Troy's ears twitch at the sound and Asa gives him a curious look.
Troy Dawes: Indeed, we cannot hold ourselves responsible for any further damage to Cordy's body. That is why, Dan, I must encourage you to talk to your partner. Tell her that now is not the time to try and be a hero. And at the same time, take a look at yourself. As a fellow businessman, I just don't think that your involving yourself in this tournament is good business. Especially considering you've chosen an ailing partner. What is the point? What are you trying to prove? That the FGA you competed in was better, and the current FGA is in need of your...golden touch? Dan, there's a new Midas in FGA, and your looking at him. I promise that the future of the company that the two of you have given your bodies for is in good, gilded hands. Change happens whether we want it to or not. What is it that our friends The Blood Brothers say?
Zorro del Castillo: Evolucionar o morir.
Asa Constant: What?
Troy Dawes: Exactly. It's clear that the two of you are hung up on a bygone era. We appreciate what you've done, but please, move on with your lives. Dan, attend to you business ventures so that you may retire with what health you have left. And Cordy, your proverbial heart may be in it, but if the body is no longer able then it is nothing but a foolish dream that is destined to be crushed. And I am not one to destroy dreams... But Zorro is, and he will show you no mercy should you decide to pursue this fantasy of a hero's return. You have been warned.
Troy presses a button on his keyboard, but right before the footage goes black Asa waves to the camera.
Asa Constant: Bye-bye

((OOC: I've been so busy and I have to work tonight. Sorry for the rush job and any and all errors. Good luck to the handlers of Cordy and Dan.))
