“Who was I to think a fool would learn?” Nest walks the grounds of a cemetery on his way to his favorite tree. “Hana Song once again shows her lack of respect for me, my championship and the Lion’s Den as a whole. You would think she’d learn that her actions don’t move her up the ladder…”
Nest smiles. “It’s only when I decide to drag her up by the tail, making sure her head his every rung on the way. When I hold her above my head and watch her squirm, only to drop her all the way back down is the only time she experiences the sights of a champion.” He looks down as he trudges through dirt and headstones. “But I’ve been going about things the wrong way. That isn’t how snakes die, especially not Hana Song. Song has a safety blanket to break her fall and he goes by the name of Shintaro Majima. I guess you didn’t hear me clearly when I warned you of this Majima. Hana Song is still using you to do her heavy lifting, and as a result, you’ve fallen further and further away from reaching your true potential.”
“It’s a shame really. When I first captured the Apex, I always expected you to be my biggest adversary. From what I know about wrestling, pretty much all Japanese dudes are badass. You were supposed to be my toughest challenge, instead I have a pesky little walking Bratz doll up my ass…” Nest grins. “As well as your puppet master. Congrats, you broke the snake’s fall and carried her just high enough so I can grab her by the tail one more time. Thanks. Just know that this time, you won’t be getting her back. The next time I swoop down from the tree of woe and snatch Hana Song back into my Nest, she won’t just be defeated, she’ll be dinner. By default, since she’s pulling your strings these days, you’ll be right along with her.”
Nest makes it to the tree, but doesn’t climb it.
“I keep letting people that disrespect me go with a slap on the wrist, and it’s starting to show itself. In the way I’m treated by the locker room, the occasional lack of showcase and worst of all…” Nest strokes his beard. “The fact that no matter how many times I knock down clowns like you two, the right way, you’ll keep coming back for more. They say once you learn the rules, you can start to break them. Well maybe it’s time I put the fundamentals down and just give you two what you’re begging for. A GODDAMN FIGHT!” Lightening strikes all of a sudden and rain begins to fall. Nest doesn’t move, and instead holds his tongue out to catch some raindrops.
“I’m thirsty, but not for the that’s contaminated with Hana Song’s saliva and breakfast. I’m thirsty for revenge and I’m thirsty for blood.” Nest stops himself. “Of course I won’t be doing it alone. It seems the more I resent being placed in tag team matches, the more my trainers place me in them. However, like I’ve said time again, I can’t choose a better partner than Triple T. We’ve been on both sides of the ring. Against each other and as a unit. No matter what the situation is, we tear the house down and I expect no differently…”
Nest rubs his hands together. “Well I don’t expect differently, but that doesn’t mean anything can’t happen. There must be some bitterness on your part, T, and I can’t blame you for it. You had everything. You were putting all of the pieces of the puzzle together only to find that there was just one missing.” Nest tilts his head. “Just put that aside for Pride. As ironic as that sounds since a your pride is telling you there’s no incentive for us…but there is. If everyone is determined to see us together, be it one on one or as a team, we might as well give them what they want. I never envisioned myself going after the tag team titles but since the opportunity’s knocking, I see it as killing two birds with one stone.”
“Winning puts myself and Triple T closer to tag team gold. Not only that, it’s our chance to feast on a serpent and the parasite attached to it.” Nest laughs. “They will stop at nothing to weaken us before our match, alluding to a conspiracy that Terrence is beneath me. He’s more than proven that he can hold his own, but I can understand the fear of threat when you add the Apex Champion. Nest assured, I won’t be wearing shades to block the mist either because I can and will beat you blind.”
